I lived here for 2 years and 2 months, moved out on 7/31/2020. For the price, there is nothing better in the area. I loved the private entrance and the apartment was actually pretty spacious. I got my full deposit back, just take care of the apartment, dont trash the place, keep the carpet and countertops clean. We had a couple small issues with one of the bathroom fixtures, with the ac, and a few other minor things (normal stuff in 2 years) and maintenance was quick.Overall, a really positive experience. I honestly really liked the location and the apartment, I was sad to leave.
I moved in here 03/06/2020. Kelsey was extremely professional and nice throughout the entire move in process. Any time i would email her its a quick response either same day or next day depending on the time. So far no issues with the apartment not worth staying in. If you havent lived in an apartment with a washer/dryer i will say it can be loud but works very well. The heat works efficiently as well as A/C, living in an upstairs means with the thermostat off youll average around 74°. There is an abundance of outlets which is important when picking out an apartment. Only real downside is how far i have to walk my garbage out.
Lived here for 5 years and still a current resident. There are basic issues (like any rental) but any time I have had an issue insects, mold, broken appliances, etc. It has been taken care of in a timely manor. Maybe not always on the time I like but it gets done. The staff (specially the maitence staff) are awesome. They are friendly and get to know their residents. That aside the apartment layouts are the best and for the price and area you can not beat it! Great school district and easy access to highways. The downtown area feels like a small town and has a small town community feel. Very lucky to live here as long and have such a great experience.
They received a 1 star because I cant give a 0. I moved here in 9/08 and they were great. Now they are horrible due to management. I have been here 10 years and the only update that they have done is to paint the shutters from black to grey. I was told they would update something every four years and that was a lie. Despite several written request to change the carpet and or paint, they refuse. The only time they cleaned it was when the pipes burst and there was a leak that covered most of the floor. I have asked for a general manager who is over the building manager and the request have been denied every time. I asked for an email address and a phone phone number, but; the building manager always say that she sent the email but refuse to provide me with the information. Then there was a leak in the walls and when I inquired about it, they said that the tenants upstairs had a leak that was causing the walls to in my bedroom to leak and they came a painted right over the mold. Now the mold spot is back and the bathroom is rusting in several areas.
Small question to Bloomfield Management: how come AC failure is not an emmergency, when you room temperature is in eighties. How come a clogged toilet bowl in common bathroom is not an emergency since you have the other one working. how come your residents and their 2 year old son get fried up due to heat since the room temperature is in eighties and AC failure is not an emergency. I really donot understand that why all the normal maitenance service are marked as non emmergency and only fire or water outage are marked as emergency since people will always call 911 instead of maintenance. We pay our rent but while signing rental we have never been told that we have to face such issues. I am having an AC outage at my home right now and I did called maintenance, but they refuse to come even when I said I have 2 year old kid who is not feeling well.. I am really surprised to see that this can also happen USA..
So far so good. This is a nice place to live unless you need maintenance. I have not been able to use my bathroom for two weeks now and every time we call, they say itll be taken care of the next day (we have been told this 5 times now and still no show). Im pretty sure they have more than one maintenence person yet your issuessay only go to one person instead of to whoever is available. Nonetheless, I would not surprised if they took their sweet time and it was a other 2 weeks before they get to my bathroom.
I was kind of skeptical about moving in after reading the reviews ... But after a year here it might be luck on which apt you get or just the fact that by nature only leave reviews when things go wrong... I had my share of small situations.. nothing out of the norm... But overall been here for a year and it has been great experience... I have not had to call maintenance often but when I do they have taken care of things. I’ll have to wait and see, but so far so good.
The apartment was infested with ROACHES!! They were everywhere including inside the stove and bedrooms. They sent the maintenance guys out and all they did was lay traps which didnt work. On top of all that, the refrigerator kept breaking. They would replace with old and used parts which never worked. I moved out and other couldnt move in because the exterminators couldnt get rid of the bugs. Now they want me to pay for the time the apartment wasnt lived in...IT WAS UNINHABITABLE!!!! Other units had the same problem. I will be filing a complaint with the health department about these guys. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
They said one month notice is enough if we vacating but they charge more on final reviser bill if you vacate before leasing (12 months) terms complete.even though you keep apartment very clean, they keep 1 month before assigning to someone. so you endup paying a month or more.keep away from these apartments
I really request google to provide option for putting negative stars.Well,if you are planning to rent out this apartment,be careful of1)security deposit2)bugs in the apartment3)noise in the apartment4)poor maintenanceYou will be tempted to stay here because of pricing and location but you will start knowing the real story behind low pricing after spending couple of months. When i moved-in,everything looked clean and perfect but after 2-3 weeks,i used to see lot of bugs, spiders in the apartment.I just wonder how there were so many every day when all the doors and windows are closed.Walls are very thin,so you can clearly hear if someone in adjacent apartment is talking over phone and if they happen to play music then forget about any solution.Leasing office guys/bitche*** are real suckers.Closets start coming out because of very poor grip on hinges. If you somehow successfully are able to request for maintenance, those guys will come any time and barge into the house without even knocking or ringing bell.security deposit is mandated by state law to be not more than 1.5 months rent thats why its a bit of relief otherwise these robbers would have robbed every penny of my hard-earned money.Overall,my 2 cents to1)those who are planning to get trapped because of low-price--watch out for reviews and visit the actual unit before renting-in.2)Those who are already now living because of lease contract:-Only way to recover your security deposit will be to not pay the rent of the month in which you are planning to vacate. Also, please talk to a lawyer if you are cheated by leasing office with contract-clauses.Its difficult to initiate a legal proceeding against a group of robbers but it will be worth the trouble. Thanks
Looters and scammers, the managers here michele or melinda or melisa they scams your deposits, their units are in desperate need for update and they are doing it at cost of your deposits and charging extra money, bad school district, primary residence concentration of african american and asian demographic, 2 stars cause their maintenance is okiesh, believe it you will need them more than you think, not recommended.
Entrance hallway, ceiling repaired because of upstairs hot water tank leak, area is now peeling badly.Electrical outlet in room off kitchen works periodically.Space between patio door excessively wide, lots of cold air during winter, usually insert paper etc. to close the space, wall area around Patio cracking.

2022-07-06I wish I could give zero stars for maintenance. Your so called professional team is making us live in the apartment without AC in the heat wave. No light bulb in stairs, decayed lower wooden closet in the bathroom, only 3 out of 4 coils heat as intended in the countertop. No idea when will all these be fixed. When questioned, there comes a lame excuse. “We are running short on Service Personnel” How is that our problem? I know this review won’t help me. But it will definitely help future tenants to have low expectations from the maintenance team.Maintenance experience- Part 2It’s amazing to see how the work orders are getting closed. Maintenance team changed the compressor but did not even bother to get into the apartment to check if the AC is working. The AC is still down and I had to open the service request again. Have no idea how long will they take to address this.

2022-06-05Angela in the leasing office has been very helpful. She helped me choose the apartment, change choice of apartment, answer any questions I had and also give some good suggestions. After move-in, she helped again answer my questions. She provided prompt response to all queries. Overall my experience has been good so far.

2022-01-21I have been a resident at Bloomfield Villas since July, 2015. The complex is safe and most of the neighbors are quiet. I’ll just go over the issues I have faced over the last 7 years. Coming up now on 7 years and not much has changed. Our A/C breaks about once every year or two and requires new refrigerant because the A/C compressor is from 1990. This is unfortunate because it often is around July or August when this happens. Speaking of Summer, there is a large amount of insects that make their way into the building. The furnace is from 1989 (per the label on it) and it has broken twice this year. They come to fix it, but not until the next day when the apartment is to down to 55 degrees. If it is a weekend, don’t expect it to be repaired until Monday. The plumbing from the toilet in the apartment above us has leaked down into our bathroom from the ceiling exhaust fan a few times now. Don’t expect the carpet to get replaced either. Coming up on 7 years and the carpet is the same as when I moved in and at that point it had been a few years old already. The people in the leasing office are very nice, but they have their hands tied when it comes to fixing things. Our rent has gone up $150 in the last 7 years since I moved in. They advertise a workout center and pool on the website. However, both the workout center and pool have remain closed since 2020 due to COVID. This year, the management company has changed from Hartmann And Tyner to Beacon Property Management.

2022-05-20Bloomfield villa staff are hard working and very kind spirited. Michelle, Angela & Elizabeth go above and beyond to keep things running smooth at this complex. My family and I have been here a long time and we see a lot of people come and go. I am so happy this complex has the team it does. They are the best!

2022-05-10Ever since beacon management took over the apartments, the maintenance has gotten very worse. They dont repair the appliances for months. They were quick to increase the rent , but when it comes to maintenance , we have to wait for months for any fix

2022-06-30Do not recommend. Prepare to bear huge move out costs even for small things, if you are moving in. Forget about getting your security deposit, you will end up paying more. I felt move out charges were totally unfair and unreasonable.

2022-05-16It’s been two weeks we got into the renovated house. But the washing machine is still not working from the beginning. And the management still didn’t fixed it. Poor maintenance and the rent is pretty high for the renovated houses.

2022-06-09Raising rent by 25% and never cares about tenant issues, fitness center and pool are closed. Worst maintenance and the staff was not friendly at all. Whenever we try to report an issue for washroom or shower issue they simply say use the second one. You need to wait a whole year of your lease period to complete one ticket by maintenance.
