Excellent salesman, Chad Beneson, was easy to work with, no pressure, and very knowledgeable. We looked unassisted at everything we had interest in and then completed an easy transaction with Chad when we made decision. Nice couch and nice tables. Also took advantage of white glove delivery which means that Bobs handles everything.
This place was nice. It was for myself, a little high priced still, but, they do have a scratch and dent section, where you can buy kitchen tables for $49 and also couches/ sectionals at a fraction of new price. So thats pretty decent if you happen to find something there for yourself. They do not however, wrap anything up in plastic for you for transport. It is how it is. I know because Ive asked, and because of snow, I decided not to buy.So I went elsewhere.
My husband and I were referred to Bob’s Discount furniture in Novi by a family friend. After waiting 12 weeks having a horrible delivery experience with a competitor, and having to cancel our furniture order we made our way to Bob’s. We were greeted by Tim who gave us a quick rundown of where to look for what we were looking for, and allowed us to look with out feeling rushed. Never came off as pushy or wanting to make a sale just checked in to make sure he could answer any and all of our questions. We fell in love with a sectional and it’s going to make a great fit for our growing family. Might I add that this all happened on Tuesday, and we should have a delivery Saturday!! Thanks again Tim for all of your help, we were very pleased with our in store experience.
Chad was very helpful and friendly.The $269 delivery is really disappointing, along with waiting months for items. The manager explained delivery fee but if I could get what I bought elsewhere with a lesser delivery fee, I would have. The furniture isnt really any less priced than competitors.Hope our set arrives sooner!
1.- I made a Purchase in May which delivery was scheduled for Mid July2.- In July I was told that it was going to be delayed until August, ok I understood.3.- Delivery Crew delivers damaged parts supposedly not able to assembly my Dinner table and “missing” hardware for bench as well.I reached customer service who scheduled a in home service to handle the situation, meanwhile all the mess of boxes and disassembled parts remain in my house.4.- In home service arrives and basically does the same thing, tell the legs of the table are “damaged” and he find the hardware whichwas “missing” in the very beginning, but he didn’t try to assemble any part of the table at all and left me with a call to customer service which schedules a replacement of the table for the end of SEPTEMBER.5.- Due to the lack of response and because I didn’t want to keep the mess with the boxes and the parts in my house for two months, I triedto assemble the table myself, MAGICALLY I was able to put everything together what makes me think the crew and in home service from BOB’s don’t even know what they are doing.6.- So basically, I paid a “white glove service” that didn’t use, because nobody from Bob even try to put together my dinner table and bench.Attaching photos of the boxes left by the delivery team.
They dont even deserve one star. Customer service is horrible. 2 years and I still have a broken couch after 9 visits to my home and four visits back to the store. They cant fix my broken couch and they gave me a replacement one thats also broken and they cant fix that one. They have nothing that will replace what I purchased. Salesman lied to me and then another salesman lied to me. They wont refund my money and want me to pick out something that does not fit in my room. Stay away from this place this place
I had narrowed my choices between bobs and another retailer. I had stopped at bobs first and I am glad I did. My Saleman Chad was top notch even showing me a better option then the one I had originally picked out.He even pre qualified me for financing and I decided there was no reason to go back to the other store, even picked out a few items I was not planning on getting yet.Great store and great Saleman
When we initially started looking for furniture for our new home we went to the location at Middlebelt Road and Schoolcraft Road; we did not have a good experience and nothing was of interest.However, now that we have gotten 99.9% of what is needed and found exactly what was missing and the staff was extremely pleasant.
Please save yourselves the nightmare. Whatever you do, please do NOT buy furniture from any Bobs store. These folks are fraudulent. They repackaged a faulty sofa and sold to me. When it was time to come set up the sofa in my house, Bobs was nowhere to be found. But why would they show up to set up the sofa? They knew the furniture was faulty!!! I had to go through my credit card company to get my money back. I will be reporting them to BBB and consumer protection agencies. Not sure what the government is waiting for to call these guys for some serious questioning on how they run business. Shameful.I wish there was zero or negative stars to give here.I j
I wouldnt be in purchase a bad rule to set The 1st one I purchased had a bunch of defects so i chose the new 1 Im waiting for it to come give you a update when i receive and i received my bedroom furniture my brother got a bedroom set also he loves he is very good price
Warning Warning Warning! I am going to save you a big headache. I will make it simple. 1. Ordered a Kitchen Table July 25 2020 just delivered this month Oct 1, 2020. No hardware so the installers could not put it together. I now have it in pieces on my kitchen floor waiting for the hardware and the installers to come back out. Here it is Oct 13th tried to get answers from customer service good luck, tried to call the manager good luck there. My sales persons well no help there. Cal many times and big time run around. I will never ever purchase anything from this company again. I will also tell everyone I know. Go back to school Business 101.
I bought a dining table and six chairs. After two months, the screws in all of the chairs begin to loosen and fall out and the seats of the chairs fell off. The store declared it a manufacturer’s defect and replaced all but one chair. I had to re-purchase the sixth chair again myself and 10 months after the original purchase, I am still waiting for delivery of that chair to complete the set. The estimated date of delivery of the chair is 3 to 4 months from now andI have to pay a second delivery fee.
I ordered the Blake dining room set via the Bob’s Squad online method. My sales representative Cambria was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant to work with. Bob’s should be very proud to have her as a sales representative for his company. I have ordered from Bob’s in the past and I’ve never been disappointed in the quality and value of his furniture. I got a couch from here and paid extra for an ottoman. First they sent the ottoman in the wrong color after months of waiting and then they sent it broken months later in the correct color. Tried to have someone out to look at it and was ignored. Once someone finally said theyd come out, they said they could only come out one day specifically of the week so I took work off and then they never showed. Then I talked to someone who said I could just send pictures in and never heard back. So I was given a broken piece with no way to deal with it and it was a huge waste of money.
I went to the store to purchase the dining table. As my brother works with Bobs, I casually asked whether any employee discount applies. The sales representative Kevin rudely left saying, “Your brother has to order”.I waited, waited and called him why is he not assisting. He was rude and mentioned why did I come to the store when my brother is working with Bobs.Minimal ethnics are not there. Any company would provide discounts to the family. If not they politely say No sir we are not doing that. I think Bob’s should train their sales representatives how to behave with the customer!!
I would give them a zero if possible. Have had nothing but problems! First my bed frame was delivered a couple hours late and I was told the hardware was missing to contact customer care and hardware would be brought out to assemble it. I was then told hardware was unavailable and I would have to wait a month for a replacement. In the meantime I would have to keep the large box in my 750 sq ft apartment. When the replacement came I was told nothing was missing from the original set. Then when the dresser and coffee table were delivered they were both damaged. On the second try the coffee table was damaged again. They were supposed to check the table before the third delivery even left the warehouse. The delivery guys said it was missing stuff. I have heard nothing from the company even after all these issues. They seem to not care at all. AVOID them at all costs!!!!Here is the response I received:Hi there, we are truly sorry for the experience you did have with us. We did review your account and can see that your concerns have since been resolved as well as there has been an accommodation offered for the frustration. If there is anything further we can assist you with please let us know. Thank you!Completely unsurprising. The accommodation was a $75 check (they wanted to give me a gift card, HA) after I was told I would have to keep the 2 large bed frame boxes in my apartment for a month. Nothing was done, I was not even contacted, after any of the other issues. I had to contact them about the first issue.
I’m beyond happy with my experience at Bobs. I was looking all day for furniture being followed by sales people at every other store but at Bobs it was great. We weren’t approached until we obviously looked like we needed help, they didn’t try to sell me anything unnecessary and they were very transparent about the process. The manager Rob and salesperson Chad were great. I’ll definitely be buying furniture from there again.
Recently bought a recliner here (Novi store). First time shopping at any Bobs location. Was expecting a warehouse atmosphere but instead was surprised by the classy modern clean layout with plenty of space between furniture and no overbearing stalker salespeople. Steven Keith was our sales rep and was thoroughly professional and relaxed. The selection process was painless and they use tablets to process orders and financing so you get to sit on a couch and sign electronically instead of having to stand in front of a green screen from the 80s. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and we will be back to buy more furniture in the future.
Our salesperson, Dave Glidden, was extremely helpful not only when we first came and explored options but also the second time when we came in and purchased a living room set. Himself and management made the entire process easy and convenient. Highly recommend this location and their staff!
The workers in the store are nice. However, dealing with the delivery team is a nightmare. I received a damaged table and I had to wait months for them to repair it. Within days the table was falling apart. They dont provide you with a new furniture, they just try to replace parts. Also the workers in the store cant seem to help you once your order is placed. This was my first time purchasing something from this company and it will be my last.
I just want to share how much I absolutely LOVE the customer service I receive every time I walk into the Bobs Furniture in Novi! The manager Tammie went above and beyond for me! She allowed me to grab her several times just to show her what I was looking at and get her opinion (for a woman this means a LOT) Then I also had Kash who is one of the BEST sales person! He had me laughing and was so kind and friendly I may come up with excuses just to keep coming back in the store - and I wont also leave our the receptionish Lisa (I hope I have the girls names with the correct positions) anyway, she IS a total sweetheart! I had come also last year and had Scott as my sales rep who was wonderful and I still think of him! Ok, I admit, not having family in my life, EVERYONE there felt like FAMILY so I would ENCOURAGE everyone to go in and look at all the beautiful furniture they have!
Been waiting on hold for half a hour to talk about the mess their delivery driver left at our appointment building, drivers didnt care just left the boxes for someone else to deal with. I even told the driver you can break them down and put them in the dumpster or he must take them.Update: twice customer service said they would send the driver back, no one showed. Also one of the tenants paid extra for them to brake down the boxes and disposal.
Your warranty is a scam I would not advise it to anyone else I was told when purchased it that if u couldn’t fix it I would get my full value to replace i spent 1600 on dining room set put claim in for table and chairs and my option was either get 114.00 dollars in cash or 434.00 this is horrible then u had the Nerve to give me 30 days to Choose I only had set for 8 months what a waste never using u guys again and anyone looking at this review please look up bobs furniture warranty u we’ll find lots of people being scam
We had an amazing experience at Bob’s! We were greeted immediately by Steven, given time to shop and look around, and then he gave us suggestions and offered help based on our likes and dislikes. We ended up finding the perfect sectional with a matching chair and ottoman for under what we would have paid at Value City Furniture. The entire process was efficient, easy, and we can’t wait to go back!
Kevin was very personable and knowledgeable of all the different products, also very patient and understanding with my indecisiveness! My husband and I were originally looking at one bedroom set but I changed my mind around and went with a different option and he worked with us no problem! Very happy with the looking and purchasing process, Kevin was able to get everything in stock for us to get us our new bed in just a few days! Can’t wait to try it all out!
The best experience I have had in awhile with a furniture company. Sales Rep Tony was so helpful. I was shopping for a lift chair for an elderly friend. I had went to Value City Furniture was looking at lift chairs for 20 minutes no one came over to see if I needed assistance. I walked the whole store no one even acknowledged I was there. I went over to Bobs greeted right at the door. They guided over to Tony that answered all my questions and even helped me find a loveseat to match the chair. He was so awesome I bought both and will be buying all my furniture in the future from Tony. Great job Tony, you rock!!!
Deplorable customer service...Long story short - Misled about our purchases. Didnt follow through after incorrect information. Did not remedy the situation in any remotely reasonable fashion and left us holding the bag.Full storyIll try to keep this as brief as I can. We ordered a mattress and bedroom set from other companies before arriving to Bobs. The manager convinced us that we needed to return those in order to have the power features for a bed. We made our returns and purchased a $1000 power option upgrade. We also upgraded our bed set to match costing us far more than our previous options. However, we were excited to give my wife with chronic back pain some relief and the power option was the entire point of our selection.Good so far...The set took forever to arrive (months), which we were okay with but was not in the original timeframe described. Eventually, installers showed up and told us that the power option would not work with our frame (the whole point of our prior returns and upgrades). We called Bobs and got the run around several times before we were finally offered a 900 store credit, which obviously was not even enough to cover the power option and we still would not have what we wanted. Finally, we agreed to the store credit because we honestly could not waste anymore time on the phone talking and getting no where. Turns out Bobs never came to pickup the power option. Eventually, we called back and found out that we were now outside of the window (this all happened in less than a year) and we now were stuck with the power option, no store credit, and a bed set that didnt do what we needed it to do.Horrible, horrible experience for us... we are the type who are more than willing to let people fix their mistakes, but every step of the way Bobs went the wrong direction. I will inform everyone I possibly can not to shop here.Update: Shortly after posting this I received a call from Bobs notifying me that my base should work with my system. So either the first 10 people we spoke to didnt know how their own product works or the last one is incorrect. Either way, after the run around for nearly a year we sold the base ourselves at a massive loss just to avoid a complete waste of money.
I purchased my couch in Dec 2020. We were supposed to get it in late Feb. We kept getting notifications that our couch was getting delayed month after month. We finally get an email in July 2021 that our couch would come in August. Then when they come to deliver it, they deliver half a couch. They damaged our walls and the couch has a stain on it. Then we were told our other half of the couch would be delivered in 2 weeks. Then a week later we are told that the other half of our couch wont be delivered for another 45 days. We call to see if we can find a resolution and nobody wanted to help us or take any accountability. Its bad enough, that we waited 8 months for a couch, but you only deliver half of it and expect us to pay on the half couch while now we have to wait another 45 days for parts to finish it. Been sitting on hold for 1 hour bouncing back and forth between people saying that cant do anything for us.Its unfortunate that a business would operate like this and at least take care of their customer that are willing to wait 9 months for a couch and a strained one at that and you guys damaged our property.
I had a great experience at the Novi location. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and patient as he walked me through the process of purchasing a new bedroom set. Because of Kevins service and the inviting environment of the store and staff, I will absolutely be back for my next furniture purchase!
Walter at the Northville Mi, location was absolutely phenomenal. He didn’t hound me as soon as I walked in . He gave me time to look on my on and then when he did come over he was able to assist me in finding the mattress I wanted and price point I was looking to stay in. 5 stars across the board. Go in and ask for him, he is the best.

We made a few trips before actually making a purchase and he was there to help us every step of the way.*Nothing to do with the salesman there. Unfortunately Bobs Furniture is unable to get me my furniture at any reasonable time. 3 months is a long time to wait for a couch. I can order a car have it built, financed, detailed and delivered in that time frame.Further more there was an order available for me and it was sold out from underneath me which leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. *
We came in to buy a couch for our basement sitting area. I appreciated the service we had from all the staff. I like the prices compared to all the other furniture stores! Also the staff dont hound you like other places but just check in with you as your shopping. I felt no pressure. We ordered our couch. I just wish we could of had it sooner then May but I know this pandemic is out of their control. I also wish we were not forced into a delivery method and not get an option to pick up. I feel we should not have to pay a fee for delivery when its not our choice to have it delivered . That is my only complaint. I do recommend this store over other furniture stores!

Dave was great.*edit*Above me what I said is still true, but I am very disappointed in the way the company runs things.My boyfriend and I knowingly came months early for furniture, because of all of the delays with COVID. We came all the way back in November and now it is April, a week away from our move in date. We picked out the furniture early to ensure we would get the furniture that we wanted.My email kept informing me that the furniture was going to come later than our move in date and when we called the store we were told that they just send out those emails and that everything would be fine. About a month later we go to set up delivery because that’s the earliest you can set it up, and Dave tells us to tell us our furniture would be a week late. We were upset but still happy we’d be getting it, and he told us to call him back after another week.Another week passes by and it’s pushed back more and more farther from our move in date. Now we are moving in a week, and we were told that now the set is discontinued but it may not be, that it could just be a rumor, and parts of the set won’t be coming for about a month away from our move in date and we could wait longer and maybe see if it’s discounted. So we would be unsure if it’s discontinued and we’d just be playing a waiting game. It was a very frustrating experience buying my own furniture for the first time and we are cancelling that order now and we bought our bedroom set somewhere else.
I ordered a desk back in March. It was to be delivered the first week of May. Every Wednesday I will get a text message saying that it could not be delivered till the following week. First they said they couldn’t fit it on the truck they had too many orders to deliver. Then they told me it was a vendor delay. I had to call and go through several prompts before I was able to actually talk to a human being. He told me someone from the store will be getting back to me with my refund information. That never happened. So I called their customer care number finally got through to the store that I purchased the item at. To ask them for a refund. 100 days later they are issuing me a refund. That’s gonna take 8 to 10 days. Yet they took the money out of my account the same day I purchased. It’s one thing if you can’t deliver an item but to tell a customer three different stories is not good business practice. Lady who answered the phone at the store who was to give me my refund was short and rude. I’m sure she would appreciate someone keeping her $500 for that long without giving them an item.
Bob’s is such a great place to buy furniture! Everything is reasonably priced and the sales people aren’t pushy at all (Like some furniture stores) which makes finding the perfect item easy to do on your own, but they are willing to help if you need as well. I worked with Scott in Novi who was super great with explaining and figuring out which option is best for me. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase, can’t wait to break it in!! 5/23/2021
I ordered a sectional and bar stools.The love seat in my sectional has already started sinking.Extremely difficult to assemble the chair. One of the legs was short. Poor quality.I bought these based on the reviews in their website. When I tried to submit a low rating for the product it got filtered. No wonder I saw 52 full five stars there.
Dont buy a couch from here. Go somewhere else!! They seem to have a nice selection but beware. I ordered a couch December of 2020. When I ordered it they said it would be delayed until February. But with every passing month the order was pushed back another few months. Finally in August they said delivery could be scheduled. Then they canceled delivery and delayed it. Theyve now done that four times, scheduling delivery and canceling it a week before. I was finally thinking this would be the month but I just received an email canceling delivery and pushing the new estimated arrival to late January! Honestly Im starting to feel like Im being scammed and that this couch will never come, like theyll just discontinue the couch before I ever get a chance to get one. I understand that delays have happened due to COVID, but this is excessive, inexcusable, and demonstrates their incompetence. So think twice before you order anything from this company. If you want to actually end up with any furniture, go to another store and save yourself the trouble.
Went into Bobs Furniture after being extremely disappointed with Gardner White after my order was delayed 4 times which I cancelled.I walked in and was approached by Dave, we found a couch we loved and the process couldn’t of been easier. He was so sweet and made sure I understood everything I was paying for! Even had another associate come and confirm the order also. What a great experience from pricing to a delivery as soon as the end of this month. Will 100% come back to see Dave!
The customer service is HORRIBLE! We paid for white glove delivery. The furniture was delivered broken in several pieces, no cords was left for the reclining pieces , and the leather was torn. We were told that we would be refunded for the white glove delivery and have new furniture delivered by February 2021. My husband called today and was informed that we will not be receiving a refund and we will not receive new furniture until April 2021. If he had not called, we would have never known about the delivery delay. We spoke with several different people in customer service, but nobody seems to be able to find notes from our previous calls. The Store Manager stated that they do not compensate or give refunds. I am so dissatisfied with this entire experience. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BOBS AGAIN. To think, I asked my husband can we try this store instead of going to our usual reliable furniture store...BIG MISTAKE!
We were helped by Kevin who sold us a bed. Not only did he help us find exactly the right bed for us but he also addressed all of our concerns on price as well. He was incredibly helpful and super nice. This was one of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had buying furniture. Thanks so much for everything. We now have a bed that fits us perfectly.
Bobs discount furniture is nice. But what makes it GREAT is the EXCELLENT service that I receive from my sales rep. WILL.Will is professional, personable and always treats me like family. I always recommend my family and friends that havent been to Bobs Discount Furniture to go and make sure you ask for Will.... hes the BEST!!!
People werent pushy which was nice. However when actually attempting to purchase something for pick up, the gal helping us said it would be available on 3/2 (date of this review is 2/26). Then the manager was reviewing the order with us said they cant guarantee when the item would be ready for pickup as their delivery customers are prioritized and will get deliveries first. Poor customer service and really try to push their delivery service.
Went in to buy a bedroom set for my son. Bought from the clearance center because I needed it quick. The woman helping us (said she was the manager) told us it was in stock and would be delivered the following Wednesday and we would get a call Monday. No call no show for delivery. My husband called and they promised it on Friday...samething again. Called again and promised another date again no call no show. Terrible customer service experience. Never received any calls so as of right now no furniture or delivery dates. No communication.
My salesman was Larry and he was one of the most patient salesman ever and he understood my needs and wants. Very professional and very well dressed. I highly recommend Larry to anyone. Sometimes its about how well your treated and understood and I felt good about my purchases. In fact, I keep calling him and adding more on.
First time at this store and it was very clean, easy to get around and everyone was very helpful in making sure we were taken care of but not at all pushy. Thank you Steven for being so patient and friendly while answering all of my many questions and helping us get hooked up with our new comfy couch🙂 Great price for so much comfort. I will never purchase anything else from Bob’s Furniture via Fortiva on May 29th. I was told due to the popularity of couch that it would be delivered between Mid July late July. Delivery date has been changed over 4x. Now its saying September. As much as I wanted this particular couch the waiting for it and me paying a monthly for an item I still do not have is very unacceptable.
I had such a great experience with Bobs. The sofa and chaise was exactly as it looked in the store. It was delivered on time and during the coldest day of the year with lots of snow and ice outside. Even with that, it was delivered in a way that respected the small entry ways in my old house. Thank you to Bobs for making this easy during a hard year. I will definitely be back!
You get greeted the minute you walk in which is fine. But when we tell Jeannine we are just looking and she tries to continue talking to us and tries to show us how to read something we were immediately turned off. We were looking forward to checking this store out as we had never been there before. The immediate ponce was a huge turnoff and we immediately left.
We need a chair and ottoman quickly. Scott was able to help us determine the styles in stock, place the order, and schedule the delivery in no time at all. Having never shopped at Bob’s, we were impressed with the level of service, the selection, and the quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bob’s Discount Furniture!
I went to Bob’s furniture not knowing what to expect. I have worked at two different furniture stores which in my opinion had better furniture than Bobs BUT I was pleasantly surprised after walking through the store for my first time. The quality of their furniture and customer service. When I got there I was greeted by Steven Keith. He was very professional and I purchased a sectional for our new home. My delivery is scheduled for early November I’ll add pictures later.
A million out of ten, I gave them a second chance after not having a good experience the first time around. I don’t regret it. I had the most amazing customer service, Steven was funny and made the experience a good one. Thankful for all the wonderful work he did to make me comfortable for buying this set. (Also hilarious)
Ordered couch with chaise in February, due to come March 2021. Actually came mid May 2021 and only half of the order arrived (just the couch) because it was input incorrectly on Bobs end. So now chaise will not arrive until July 2021, and no effort was made on customer services end to help get it to us quicker or give us a discount - nothing.Update: now customer service says it will be delivered in May. Will update star rating when its received!It arrived a few days later and is all here now. Glad customer service was able to get it here in May and not July.
Our experience with Bobs is mixed. We purchases our furniture at the Novi store location and were impressed with the sales team and process, especially because they were dealing with the Covid situation. Carly was our sales person and she was excellent. She was very friendly and helpful -- answered all our questions and helped us choose the right piece for our needs. From that point on, however, it was a hot mess.We couldnt schedule a delivery date because it was six weeks out before the couch would arrive to their warehouse. Ok, fine, no problem. But after four weeks we still hadnt heard anything about a delivery date. So I contacted customer service. After navigating through an endless chain of automated responses. Finally, I reached what was supposed to be the Novi store. The phone rang continuously with no one ever picking up. After some time, I got kicked back out to the main menu and had to go through the automated process again! I tried this for a couple of days and finally gave up trying to reach somebody. Fortunately, Carly wrote her cell number on the back of her business card in case we had any issues, so I contacted her. She responded within a couple of days that she would look into the issue.I didnt hear back and reached out again with no answer. I called the customer service number again and went through the same routine -- no answer. I finally went to the website to get the email address for customer service and sent my inquiry that way. After several days I heard back from someone via email and was told the couch would deliver the week of Sept. 7 and I could pick a date -- so I picked the 10th. Great! Finally an answer. Then, we get a message from Carly asking us if we still want the couch. Wait, what? I thought I just had a delivery date. At this point I figured I had a date in writing, so I was going with that.Then my fiance received a call from Carly saying that the couch was delivering on the 8th. Even more confusion sets in because I scheduled the 10th. I didnt bother to call anyone because -- why bother, right? It was going to come one of those two days. But lo and behold -- we get a message and an email saying it would be delivered on the 9th!!Does anyone at Bobs know what the heck is going on?The good news is that it did deliver and it delivered on Sept. 9. The arrival text message had the wrong address on it so we had to correct that to ensure it went to the right house. The delivery team was AWESOME. They were careful carrying it in. Opened it outside so none of the waste got on our floors. They explained how it worked. It was a great delivery day.So with this experience I dont know if we would go back to Bobs. I give three stars because the sales and delivery experience was great, and we do love our couch, so I thought that warranted three stars. But the customer service was horrendous and it made me think that no one knows whats actually going on in the company. Id like to chalk it up to having to keep business moving while going through a pandemic, but other companies have managed much better than Bobs. The least you can do is have someone there answering the phone. I can deal with shifting delivery dates, but when customers cant get a hold of anyone on the customer service line, its time for a change.
Fantastic experience, our salesman Larry Miller was great. He was full of information and suggestions while still giving us enough space to test things out. The store as a whole is very clean and laid out in a fashion that makes finding furniture. I would recommend anyone to come here.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience today at Bobs Furniture. Our salesman was Stephen and he was awesome! This was my second experience with him and he was very helpful and professional. I cant wait for my new living room set to come it is absolutely beautiful! If I need anything else for my home I will be back and I will ask for Stephen!!
Tony was my sales representative and he was great. He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. Great multi Tasker was able to assist my mom and I, if you want honest feedback and knowledge about your purchase go see him. Plus he explain everything in detail so you know exactly what your order consists of.
My experience was very informative and delightful. The salesman answered all my questions and was very polite. I searched several furniture stores before deciding to purchase at Bobs. I found the sales associates at the other stores to be pushy and aggressive. I was looking for a sectional sofa. I had done my research on what I wanted. Most of the sales associates could not answer my questions. The young man who assisted me was knowledgeable and very delightful to work with.
***edited to add that now, after posting this review and complaining to the company directly, I dont even receive my weekly update now. Bobs continues to just get better and better 👎*** After spending $2300 on a sectional and being told it would be 6 weeks until delivery we finally got a call that it was ready for delivery. Delivery came and it was 3 of the 5 pieces, 2 still on backorder. Why I would want my sectional delivered when Im missing 2 pieces is beyond me. Today (2 to 3 weeks after delivery)I get a phone call (voicemail) stating were ready for delivery and I was put on for the 24th. I was unable to do this day so I called to try to do the 25th. Now Im being told its not even ready again. This has been the biggest pain and I totally regret spending $2300 with your company. Im am ready just to return this purchase and be done with this company. Not one person I have spoken to has any idea what the other is talking about. This will be, I promise, my last purchase from Bobs Furniture!!!
Looks like a nice store but once I ordered my loveseat and sofa, I waited from August to get them on December and once received, the legs were missing. I barely got a hold from them and finally ordered the legs and has been a month and a half we haven’t received them. Every week I call to find out and every week they tell me a different date delaying 2 weeks wait. My new sofa looks like a donated furniture 😞
Dave was a very informative and friendly salesman. He answered all of our questions and helped us when picking our new furniture. It was our first time at Bobs and we didn’t go anywhere else we were so impressed with the prices. Will highly recommend to friends and family!
Ordered Table and Chair set December 31, 2020. Delivered first week in March. The furniture was not damaged and looks like good quality. When they delivered the furniture they were supposed to assemble table. After 15 minutes of trying, they gave up and left. It was about 630pm on Friday. The parts were scattered all over the dining room floor The delivery people seemed high on something. I called Bobs Furniture the next morning and they told me bc it was Saturday they couldnt do anything and they would have someone call first thing Monday morning. Monday morning nobody called so around 4pm I called customer care dept. They had no record of there being a problem. The customer care dept said they would have someone call me back to figure out why they couldnt assemble the table. Never received a call back. Later that week, I had my son come over and assemble the table with no problems. Beware, if you expect them to fulfill there end of the deal assembling furniture, it may not happen and they have an I dont care attitude. I gave two stars because the furniture quality was good.
We bought a sectional and a dinning table set from Bobs, our sales person Brenda was extremely helpful and patient. Because of which we enjoyed the whole process of furniture shopping. We needed to change the shade of our sectional and the process was so simple and with our hassles. Currently we are awaiting delivery. I hope the Delivery and furniture is as good as the shopping experience.
Pro: Decent Price, sales staff are nice.Cons: not great quality but not bad, delivery takes an eternity.we ordered everything for our new house from bobs two months ago. The only thing we have in the house to show for it is a coffee table which wasnt fitted very well, the glass top is keeps rocking around. Now I hear the delivery date is going to be pushed back even further. Its very frustrating to live in a house with no furniture. Do not believe their estimated delivery dates. If they say one month, its going to take two and a half months.
We recently purchased new furniture from Bobs and were very pleased with our experience! During this time of COVID-19 Bobs employees greet you at the door and ask if they can take your temperature! They also provide hand sanitizer at the door! Our salesperson (Larry Miller) was very helpful and explained things in detail. He also mentioned how he and family members also owned furniture from Bobs, which helped with piece-of-mind decision making knowing the employees really back their products! Thank you! Dealing with customer service has been a nightmare. There is a constant runaround to get someone on the line, and the wait time is always over 20 minutes. We ordered our couch and swivel chair from here September 5th, and it was noted we would receive it the first week of October. However, it constantly was pushed back, and the couch was finally delivered October 23rd. We understand the pandemic affected shipping, but the communication was terrible. I called and constantly reached out to check the status of our swivel chair, and a scripted response stating we would not receive it until January. This is absurd given we had no contact and now this message is being shared with us. I would never purchase from here given the lack of communication.I gave it two stars because Carley, our sales associate, was very kind and helpful upon purchasing the sectional and swivel chair.
Wont go back! We was treated extremely rude by one of the employees I assume a manger they way they was acting. There loss we have an entire house to furnish. We went to Value City Furniture which we always got good service and good furniture. Loves just opened by us and seems to be a good store and friendly also.
Excellent customer service! I came in for 1 thing and left with much more. I made last minute changes added and subtracted but my salesperson was patient and understanding through it all. I worked with Sara and she was a complete Rockstar through the whole process and I walked out with pieces I am very happy with and that make me happy which is what mattered to me..THANK YOU SARA!!!
Absolute joke of a store. I had went into the store in January with wife to order a sectional. The whole time the staff was pushy about buying a warranty for an extra $100 and paying more for their staff to set it up at my house.The staff in store told me that the latest that I would expect it delivered would be February/March.Then the order was delayed till March/April. Then may 1st. I reached out to customer support 3 times to ask if they can help resolve this issue and try and get the couch or a replacement sooner. They refused to compromise and said until the order was delivered they wouldnt do anything.I decided to cancel my order and got a seperate one from Costco. Ordered on Friday afternoon and was delivered free of charge on Monday 9am.Dont bother buying from places like this that dont respect their customers and cant give accurate time windows
We bought and paid for a nice power reclining sofa in April. On June 5th they delivered a love seat. They rescheduled a new delivery for the correct sofa to be delivered on June 10th and brought the exact same love seat. This place is ridiculously unorganized.Edit.Today was the 3rd delivery and 3rd time I left work to be home for a Bobs Furniture delivery. No such luck on receiving our sofa. The first two deliveries were the wrong item and now they claim that our sofa was broken during delivery. What a joke.
I haven’t had to purchase furniture for a while and furniture shopping is not only top 10 list of fun things to do. However, after searching for the perfect bed for my pre-teen that we wanted to last through high school (at least), Bob’s Furniture came in for the win!I purchased my daughter’s bed in February 2020 (yes, just before the CoVid shut down). Just about two weeks ago (early May), one of the beams on her bed broke and consequently the slats attached to it broke also!! I thought, “No problem! The bed is still relatively new and I have the GoofProof protection!”Well, GoodProff said ‘no, we don’t cover normal use issues and since you already told us what happened, we won’t say it’s an accident either.’I spoke with Customer Care at the ‘national’ Bob’s line and they said ‘sorry! You’re outside of the 1 year warranty we offer’ 😯 At this point I’m very upset!!I went into the store to ask why this wouldn’t be covered and contemplated canceling my upcoming $2k+ order.Well, Tammy, LoraLynn, and Scott saved the day!!! Tammy called and followed up and got me all taken care of! Today she says, “Mrs. Spencer, I have one more question for you? When would you like your replacement bed delivered”The follow up and care from the Novi store location was amazing! Thank You!
Avoid this store!! Worst customer service ever! We ordered a new bed frame and mattress. Sale experience was good, delivery horrible. Drivers dropped the delivery at our house and left. We paid 330.00 for delivery, set up of new and removal of old mattress. Delivery team refused to set up the new set and remove old mattress. We then had to pay a 3rd party to remove the old mattress as our trash service does not provide that service. 8 weeks of phone calls, emails & store visits to try and get the delivery fee refunded. Save yourself a headache and shop somewhere else.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I bought a couch and in less than one year the mechanism broke. I made a claim and it’s been nine months and I still don’t have a working couch. They have sent the wrong mechanism each time per the service technicians. I’ve called numerous times and sat on the phone for hours! I also have went to the store to speak with a supervisor. I’ve had THREE different technicians out at my house to try and fix my couch and after NINE months all they can come up with is will try and get the right parts out there for you! That is like saying you can buy a car but you can’t drive it for nine months but you can pay for it. Zero customer appreciation, zero compensation for this I’m absolutely Appalled at this situation! Not to mention I’ve almost taken off an ENTIRE week for this issue and all you can come up with is we will keep trying so just keep taking more days off of work. Unbelievable!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Oh by the way my couch STILL does not work! Going on TEN months!
I personally won’t be shopping at Bob’s again. We ordered our furniture in February and still do not have a functional couch. Over 6 months of wasted time and no answers. Have been on the phone with customer care countless times waiting 2 hours or more. They don’t take notes when you are finally able to speak with someone or they disconnect the call. The people in the store and all the delivery people have been great. But still waiting for what we actually ordered. And to top it off, one of the pieces was malfunctioning and wrecked our wood flooring. Conveniently, they continue to claim that they haven’t received the quotes that they asked for and the pictures, though they have been sent over multiple time. Extremely dissatisfied!

The wife and I stopped into Bobs looking for furniture for our newly finished basement. We were both pleasantly surprised with the experience until they failed to deliver on the promised date not once, but twice! I took a whole day off work to accept delivery both times. Buyer beware when purchasing from Bobs. Shop at your own risk.
My wife and I went in August to buy a living room set and found an awesome matching sofa, loveseat and ottoman. Kevin was our salesman and was awesome to work with. We understood during the times that deliveries were a little behind which we werent upset with. Kevin reached out to us recently to let us know that our delivery was still on track for the date we were told a month ago. We received our loveseat a month ago and love it, we even ordered two end tables from there that we already received and they are great as well. Definitely would go back for future furniture and would recommend Kevin if hes available.
We had a great experience shopping for furniture from being greater at the front door. To working with Dave G, he gave us space to look around yet answered any question we had. He wasn’t the station typical salesman that stalls you and pushes you to make a purchase you may not want. I would recommend Bob’s Discount Furniture to anyone I know looking for new furniture.
The best thing about the Novi store was the sales guy, Tony. If you visit there, ask for him! Super friendly, helpful with suggestions, and knowledgeable about the products, he made everything easy and fun. I got everything I wanted for reasonable prices and it’s all being delivered in just three days!
The prices are not worth the hassle. I bought an entire house worth of furniture from Bobs for my new home because the prices were great and I was told I could get the furniture ASAP. That was not the case. They shipped me part of a living room set and half of a kitchen island. The island did not come with the granite counter top that I bought with it. When I called and asked why they didnt come together, I was told the counter top was now on back order and wouldnt know when I would receive it, but when I bought it was told that the entire piece was in stock and would receive it the following week. So I now had a kitchen island that I could not use because it didnt have a top but they wouldnt take it back because I accepted it into my home (per Bobs policy). I waited on the phone for over 4 hour to speak to someone who then transferred me to two different people before I finally spoke with someone who could help. I sternly told them that I would be dropping of the half of a kitchen island they sent me and demanded a refund. After another hour of waiting on the phone. The granted me a refund and cancelled the $2,000 worth of furniture that was also on back order, all of which was in stock and ready to ship at time of purchase a week before.I do not recommend shopping here. I understand, especially during this pandemic that furniture it hard to come by and things are on back order. I kept the living room set I ordered because I liked the way it looked and honestly did not want to deal with this establishment anymore than I already had. But the salesman was not honest with me when I bought everything. Also dont ship me half of a piece of furniture. You wouldnt deliver someone a couch without any cushions and expect them to use it...why would you deliver a kitchen island without a counter top and expect me to use it. In addition the two sofas I ordered did not come with hardware to attach the legs, we had to go out to the hardware store and buy it ourselves.The refunding process was another adventure within itself...TERRIBLE. After a month they finally got it figured out and refunded me my money.NOT WORTH IT...would not recommend to anyone.

We were also very impressed with the warranty issued regarding our purchase. We have not yet received delivery of what we ordered so this 5 star rating is currently only in regards to our in store experience and not that of delivery of the product which we hope will receive the same 5 star rating.
We went into Bob’s discount furniture on a mission, we knew what we wanted and where to find it. Except we didn’t, as soon as we entered we were awestruck with the options that were available, any of which we would have been pleased with, but ultimately couldn’t decide on. In steps the helpful sales rep Steven Keith, after a few questions he expertly guided us to a few prominent pieces to hone in on our perfect dining and living room sets. Thank you Bob’s Discount and Steven, we will enjoy our new furnitures for years to come.
My salesman redeemed Bobs from an experience I had the week prior. He greeted me as soon as I entered the store, and had a pleasant attitude.I knew what I was purchasing before going into the store, but he went over any details with me needed to make my decision and purchase much easier. Initially, I provided a good review of the sales experience with our sales person. He was great and honest about the delivery time. Was provided a six to eight week time frame. But eight weeks came and not only havent I heard from them, you cant reach anyone on the customer service line or the chat bot at their website. Sonya at the Novi store offered only a half a refund on the white glove service I paid, asked for a full refund of it and was told I cant get it until my furniture is delivered, which I wont get until Thanksgiving. While I get the whole COVID thing slowed things down but it doesnt impact customer service.
Visited Bob’s of Novi and Sara helped me pick out a beautiful bedroom set complete with mattress and platform. Sara was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Great selection of furniture at great prices. I’ve been to all of the local furniture stores and Bob’s has the best selection and fair pricing for quality furniture. I will definitely be back to purchase more furniture and accessories for my home. Thanks Sara.
Bobs Discount Furniture is a new store in our area to compete with the Gardner White and Value City furniture stores. They have the same sales person that greets you immediately at the door to show you what you are looking for. We dealt with Shawn Margis. He was very accommodating but not high pressure. The selections are not over the top high quality but more value minded. By no means do they try and push low quality products as high end stuff either. They have a broad range of decent, better, and best (value minded best) selections which Shawn was very up front about which was refreshing. He was great to deal with and I tried to convince him he told us a mattress was included even though it wasn’t. He was a great sport about it and was even able to have a little fun with us too. They do have a nice range of styles. We were looking for a guest bedroom set but ended up looking at stuff for the entire house. They had tons of stuff that kept catching our eye. Overall very good experience. I would buy there as soon as the project we were making initial selections for us ready to go.
SHADY PRACTICES! Sales rep opened up a line of credit in my name when I was lead to believe he was just checking to see if I pre-qualified for any financing. I didn’t pick the financing option & paid for my couch in full… a month later, I received a card in the mail & had a new account on my credit report.I called the store & spoke with a manger & she informed me there was nothing she could do with no expression of remorse. Literal fraud had taken place & all I received was an “oh well” reply basically. It’s criminal what was done & if it was a mistake? Something should’ve been done to compensate the time, energy & money that I will have to waste to correct things.
EDIT: I received a phone call today after leaving my review. Again zero apology. Zero accountability. The level of professionalism from the person reaching out to me was lackluster. She insinuated that my review was untruthful & “didn’t understand what was going on”. This time I was told the item I purchased was dropped and was no longer available. Then had the audacity to ask if I would like to select another item. Further showing that nobody has any idea what is going on there. I just left an awful review of your store and you want me to spend more money there...clearly my words are falling upon deaf ears. I was left almost speechless by the abundance of misinformation that was being given to me. I did muster up the words to say “I want nothing to do with your store”. The current tally is four contacts with employees and four different stories for a chair that I was supposed to be able to take home with me the day I bought it.Original review:I purchased a chair back in March from the clearance area in the back under the impression that I was going to be taking it home that day. To purchase it I had to chase down a sales person on my own after being overlooked by several of them first. I paid. Pulled around back. Rang the button as directed. Waited a good 10-15 minutes for someone to come out to help me. They opened the large room up door and I handed them my order information. The man looked at it & said he’d be right back. I was cold plus had my children with me that were getting antsy. I could see the chair so I pointed at it & said “that’s it right there”. I was told to just wait he had to figure something out. I continued to wait in the cold. Another man came out & told me there was a a mistake that chair was a floor model. I was told to come back. I went out of town & came back as directed. Again with my children in tow. We pulled up then another man pulled up. We rang the bell then they helped the man before even acknowledging my existence. Finally the man working the warehouse took my order information went inside & came back out. All while holding a lit cigarette and standing by my child that I directed to move away from it. In a condescending tone he asked “did someone tell you it was here”. I nicely explained the prior situation. He told me that it wasn’t there & someone would let me know when it was then tried to walk away. I expressed my frustrations to him & he told me it wasn’t his fault that half his warehouse was out due to Covid. I told him it wasn’t my fault either. I never heard anything from them. So today, over a month later, I call & nobody can tell me where the chair is. They ask if they can call me back. I get a call this evening that someone did something wrong at some point and the furniture wouldn’t be in until November. It is currently May & I purchased the chair in March under the impression I was going to get it that day. I was again told that it wasn’t the person I was talking to’s fault. Very underwhelming semi apology with a “what do you want me to do about it” attitude. No resolution was offered. Just “it’ll be in in November”. I asked for a refund with interest since they took my money & I got nothing in return. I got a nope only giving you the exact amount you paid. This was my first time shopping here & I will never go again. I will also tell anyone that will listen about how awful everything was from the incompetent staff to the grown man holding a cigarette, actively smoking while helping a customer with a child. I would give zero stars if possible.
Bought a $1500 dollar sofa in December 19. Delivery delay and then delay and then pieces missing. Now after 1 year sofa arm has caved in, submitted claim and through corporate and one month later still no answer. I will never spend another dime in this store. Employees in store are great, sorry for them.
Great low pressure experience. I worked with Tony, he was great. Explained the oops and actually sold me and I’m a hard sell. Overall great experienceDelivery was terrible. After months of waiting. Delivery men pretended to speak no real English until the end of delivery. Also, every single piece was damaged in some way. Opened my stuff in the middle of the street so everyone knew what I had. Left trash inside and outside my house. Rude and inconsiderate. Now I have to wait till may to get replacement. Ridiculous!!
Buyer beware- my daughter bought costly furniture, including a white marble top kitchen set. Eating at her kitchen table, as one would eat at a kitchen table, a little salad dressing spilled and left a terrible stain on the table. It would not come off. She called the store to tell them what happened and see if there was anything the store could do to help get rid of the stain. She was told that the marble on the table is sensitive to food stains. Um, so you sell a kitchen table to be eaten on, but people should not eat on it because if food or drink were to spell it would stain the table? Really disappointed that they didn’t give her the option to pick something else since she literally just got it and a big sofa sectional. Spent a lot of money to have a brand new stained table- greek dressing. Do not buy their marble furniture!!
George was awesome! He Greeted us right when we walked in and explained how the pricing works. He was very helpful without being overbearing. He also combined my shipping with an online order which saved me from paying an extra delivery fee. Will definitely be back to get more stuff from him! Also make sure you see Ed in the outlet department for some great deals, he is super nice and helpful!
I would never recommend buying anything from here. The sales person sold me a love seat and a corner and resold it to someone else before I could come pick it up. I paid to get a U-Haul to drive all the way up to the store for them to tell me they sold my items and there was nothing they could do. The guys who load the furniture our great and professional and are probably the best part of the store. The point I’m making is never buy anything from this store! Will is also the best sales person at the Novi location. Management is terrible! It took 30 minutes for them to find a manager
Just letting you know how abysmal your business is run. Order placed July 10th for July 30th delivery, I had to reschedule the July 30th delivery due to my wife going into labor the night before. 2 hours on hold at hospital to reschedule, rescheduled for Aug 8th, but told product not guaranteed to be on the truck, told me if I didnt get a confirmation call or text on Aug 6th, its not happening and to call back for another date. I was given today, Sept 11th. Confirmed via chat in late August that Sept 11th date was still on, because getting a hold of anyone was impossible. Was never given the option of talking to a store associate as they were not receiving calls due to COVID. Did not receive a call, email or text yesterday, so I called up to the store last night, talked to a person for the first time at the store, not sure how, they must have relaxed their company policies and scheduled more people? Again confirmed delivery was on for today. 12 pm comes and goes today, no call, email or text, call back up to store. Lady tells me there is a problem, the entire order cant be delivered today. Basically a third of the bunk bed can be shipped(whats the point, its a bunk bed) and delivery was not on for today, and that it would now be October for delivery. This isnt supply chain COVID stuff, this is piss poor customer service. Youve been warned. Just look at YELP, youll see this type of issue is common. No one apologized, no one made it right, disappointed because I loved the product.
Went to bobs looking for a last minute couch for our basement. Tony was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in trying to find something that we could take home the same day. Unfortunately the couch I loved wasn’t available for about a month. After he did some further looking he was somehow able to get it delivered two days later!! I was blown away with his customer service and would highly recommend bobs and especially going to see Tony!!!
Dont buy anything from this scam company! The couch we purchased this year is already junk, yes it was late and came in piece by piece, but I could live with that. Its literally coming apart at the seams just weeks after getting it. I also purchased the goof proof insurance, which they tell you in store that it covers everything, but not our seams that are coming apart. They said if it were cut with a knife it would be coved, lol what a joke. DO A GOOGE SEACH OF BOBS DISCOUNT INSURANCE SCAM! THEY ARE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! This company sells junk and then DOESNT STAND BEHIND IT!

Ciara Was a very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait for my new furniture to be delivered. I will definitely come back to Bob’s for my next furniture purchase.
To make short Very Bad customer service.Be away from direct ship items its a mess, they dont know how to deal with it, especially if you are returning! The store will say something then take it back the same thing for customer service.Their delivery contractors, are among the worst, very messy, wearing masks very casually, stepping on your carpets and clean floor without shoe covers, placing furniture arbitrary, and in a rush to go, rather than checking the furniture and making sure it works.2 times returning a loveseat!I placed an order of 12k USD, this is not a good way to deal with customers.Although they have some nice items.But after dealing with bobs and value city both of them got 10K+ orders.Value city is much better and more professional at dealing with customers, and thier delivery contractors are 10x better than Bobs.
The actual company and location are pretty good not much to say about it. Due to COVID 19 it’s hard to get furniture the day of let alone with in a week(s) time frame.. but where my issue come in is the use a 3rd party company to deliver the furniture. The name is “Dolly” and they are horrible.first of all, unpaid for a box truck to deliver my furniture. They showed up in two ram 1500’s. None of my furniture was protected. The Ratchet strap used broke my dresser, Then they dropped a piece of my brand new white couch on the ground in the snow. After I asked them repeatedly to use the back glass sliding door which mind you opened up into the living room, ignored me and decided to still come through the front and hit my walls. Then after all of that. When they went to leave they thought it was a good idea to use my grass with frost on it and a slope to try and turn around in.. got stuck and left ruts.. Honestly completely unprofessional.. I don’t not what so ever recommend this company. I will be calling “Bobs discount furniture” first thing in the morning to take care of this.I wish there was a way to post the pictures on here to show. Also I highly recommend using “Less Stress Moving co.” This would of never happened
I am taken back by the absolutely terrible service we experienced today. I’ve never been so upset with a company’s approach to an issue caused by themselves. The delivery guys made no attempt whatsoever to come to our house, then took our furniture to the warehouse and said we weren’t home. We of course can prove this was a lie (nothing on Ring and no phone call as they claimed) but to make matters worse, we were told that there is nothing that can be done and our couch goes to the next person that has it on order. What kind of company gives a product to the next person without even attempting to contact the customer? Had I not called to find out the delivery status, I don’t think I would’ve received any communication. To top it all off, we’re now told that the couch will be delivered in March even though it’s sitting at the warehouse. So a couch that was to be delivered to us but was not attempted is now going to someone else instead of just reissuing the delivery date to the next availability. Due to the company’s incompetence and policies, it convinced us to go elsewhere and we will make sure to let our friends know to shop elsewhere.
Horrible experience, spent over $5000 on furniture and half came broken. Originally shipping took a month which was awesome because all other stores were out about 8 weeks. Had a tech come out to look at furniture who realize there was no way to fix a huge crack going down the center of the nightstand (this was explained on the phone). Tech was scheduled out 2 weeks before he could come and within a 10 minute visit explained he had to order a new one. This was beginning of August, now night stand is delayed until October 6th when it was originally ordered before July 4th.. supervisor claims the furniture hasn’t been made since August and that’s why it’s taking so long. Was also told they are not able to offer any accommodations and the night stand will come in October. Would not recommend shopping here as furniture is cheaply made and clearly they do not care about customer satisfaction.
Bobs is a significant disappointment. I purchased an L shaped couch. When the delivery finally arrived they smashed the boxes through my doorway and hall scratching walls and chipping corners. I also ordered a bunk bed and dresser for my children. I have had 4 separate crews come to my home and have had to take as many days off to be here because of their incompetence. First they delivered the bunk bed and parts were broken. Thankfully the delivery team made us aware that they could not put anything together. Due to a language barrier, it was difficult to communicate. However through Google translate I was able to ask them if they would leave all the unbroken parts and bring us a replacement for the broken one. Try number 2. They showed up at 730 am on a different day with a different crew. They had the part. I had asked them to come after 12 noon because I am a teacher and would not be home. They show up whenever and expect you to just be ready. Terrible. At any rate, this crew put the beds together horribly. Making a very dangerous situation for my children. Parts missing, parts disconnected, screws through wood that connect to nothing. I called, they sent another crew out. They told me I need a new railing and brackets and that they couldnt fix the problem. Havent heard back from them as they were supposed to contact me. Terrible. I will never go back.
Sales team is great but the experience with their customer support team was horrible.. be aware of all their policies regarding refund and returns.. no one knows all the details so every time you call them you get different information. I ordered 5 items but only two of them received without any damages. I received damaged tv unit twice and second time they refused to replace it. Looks like they don’t care of customers. Anyway get all the information upfront before buying.
I purchased a mirror glass table amongst other furniture such as two bedroom sets and a bedroom vanity. The items were delivered by 3rd party individuals whom Bob’s Furniture Hired who damaged my glass table more than 3 times more than 3 deliveries and ABSOLUTELY NO COMPENSATION. They stripped my bedroom screws so that the bedding head boards would not stay in place as well as the fact that they were rude and disrespectful. I also purchased their so called GOOF PROTECTION Ave was told to make a claim on brand new furniture yet they won’t replace the headboards or any furniture other than the glass table which their delivery persons damaged and it was reported to the store with photos taken.. Not only did they not replace my bed frames, they took my money for the protection and won’t refund it nor replace the damaged headbands which have stripped screws. So I took a complete loss and I must take them to Small Claims Court if I want justice. So not only a rip off, I now have to repurchase two more bedroom sets from another furniture company. Just recently on Saturday, March 27, 2021, Bob’s had another table delivered to me. The delivery team left my glass table opened where everyone could drive buy and see my merchandise and placed it in front of my front door where no one could enter nor leave my home without climbing over the table. Left the trash from opening the merchandise flying down the street. I went to the NOVI STORE, asked for the store manager at the entrance where they take your temperature who at the time I was told he was there but got to the service counter and was told he was not present and then to be treated as if I created this problem and not to mention the staff had prepared to return my money then all of a sudden declined giving me my money and wanted to give me a credit. I provided pictures of the what had transpired and was denied my full refund after being told they would honor it. So now, they again have my money and my merchandise and I’m stuck with damaged furniture until I can sue them in small claims court. The staff became so unprofessional that as I tried to get help while the store manager Robert Jastrzebski was not there, it became a shouting match. I called Novi Police to get assistance regarding my situation only to see that the Store Manager shows up out of nowhere and then tells the Police Authorities they want to put a TRESPASSING COMPLAINT AGAINST ME when all I wanted was to get a refund. Unfortunately, I’m not able to upload photos but I will as soon as I can.So I recommend although there prices might be lower than other stores, I recommend to anyone that enjoys shopping for new furniture to pay the extra and shop elsewhere. BOB’S FURNITURE IN NOVI MICHIGAN IS NOT THE PLACE TO SPEND YOUR MONEY.
This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! We waited a month to get our bedroom set delivered. Only head board, base board and bench showed up. There were not even rails to put the bed together. They THEN informed me my rails, two dressers and two night stands were on back order. When I asked why I wasn’t contacted they could not tell me why. I asked to have the head and base board picked up since it’s a hazard not being set up and having children, they informed me this couldn’t be done. When I said I was dissatisfied with the service and the fact that they took our money, gave false promises and had no communication, they told me sorry this is how it happens sometimes because there system is messed up and when vendors put stuff on back order they are not contacted. The only compensation they give for their wrong doing is a gift card to their own store. They don’t take any accountability for misleading consumers. So here I am waiting another three weeks for the rest of our furniture while we sleep on a mattress on the floor! I would never again try to save money and go this route! Terrible service and terrible communication! No respect for the consumer, once they have collected their money of course!
After 4 months of waiting for all furniture. Piece by piece I just received the last part. A floor lamp. Every piece had to be replaced due to being cracked or defective. The furniture is all junk! Never again. And now last piece is broke to. I wanted to just return it for money back. They refused so I’m waiting yet again. Don’t do it!
Overall friendly staff and the furniture is ok but you will wait months for delivery. Little to no communication about your order and trying to follow up by calling is useless. Also, your order may come in pieces so if you got a bed you may get the head board in one delivery and the rails in another. Prices are competitive but a really strange business model.Edit: Updating from 2 star to 1 star. I literally pushed my delivery date back a month so that everything would be delivered together. This place is unbelievable incompetent.
I purchased a couch and the salesperson told me that I could pick it up the following weekend. Upon arrival it was disclosed that it was sold. How can a couch that was paid for be sold?They said I was suppose to pick it up within 24 hours and they can only give me a refund since it was in the outlet section.The salesperson disclosed incorrect information, they didn’t give me a courtesy call or email before they resold the couch and they did not attempt to fix the problem they caused. Now we no longer have furniture in our den.Customer service and the customer experience is an area they need training on. Horrible experience!! Simply horrible.
Experience-2: I bought chairs from outlet and they are in sealed box, when I opened them they were broke. When I check with store they cant do anything because its part of outlet. At least the sales guy looked for options but the manager said just one thing I.e. We cant do anything. Please ensure to open the box in the store otherwise you will lose your money.Experience-1: The store hours and pickup hours are different. When you call they will say its until 6:30pm, when you are at the pickup location the sign says its until 6:15pm, once you ring the bell the employee comes and says it closes at 6pm.
Brian W. was amazing to work with. He answered all of our questions and helped us find everything we were looking for. We really appreciated his sales style, he gave us space to shop without being pushy or overwhelming. We’ll definitely be back to work with him again next time we need more furniture!
Sales Associate Josh T. was extremely helpful & catered to my somewhat complicated requests & questions, within a decent amount of time. Greeted me as i walked through the door.. I initially came in for customer service, he directed me to the desk but offered to help me out instead & got all my problems and concerns handled.
I have very bad experience with Bob furniture. There prices are very low, but so is their service. Good luck getting your furniture delivered. It took me more than 4 months to get my furniture delivered. I know there are some unprecedented situation due to COVID. In spite of telling them do not deliver furniture in pieces. I been getting parts of furniture delivered. And delivery people are worst unprofessional I have ever seen. I can keep on going they are bunch of liars and cheatiers.Never do business with them.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They hire contract people to deliver your furniture and they are very incompetent. They went to the wrong address on two different occasions and I had to reschedule my deliveries. They do not have in house customer service. They transfer you all over the place to get an issue resolved. Worse experience in my life. Please don’t purchase anything here. Save yourself some pain.
There is a reason why this store is calles discounted!!! When we walked in to buy our living and dinning furniture, we were promised great customer service, prompt furniture delivery and a furniture assembly service which is an absolute waste of money. The delivery guys who were to confirm delivery 2 days prior incase we have to reschedule - never confirmed/ called, texted us about the delivery, on the day of delivery, they sent us an automated text 2 hours prior to delivery, the assembly of furniture was so bad. The chairs and stools all wobbly, the breakfast bar table has a few scratches, they literally forgot to install the gripper in bottom of one of the dinning chairs and we have scratches all over our newly done hardwood floors. Customer care is pathetic and of no use. I have made endless visits to the store to beg for help but all they do is conveniently blame everything on the situation we are in with the corona virus. It had been close to a month and i hate all the furniture that we have so far. We are yet to receive our couch... we are yet to hear from the repair guys for the furniture delivered... no exchange or no returns available. Our first home and we feel extremely sad and cheated. Honestly, my rating for them would be no stars at all!
Had a great experience with Jordan at Bob’s discount furniture. He led us around the showroom and helped us find exactly what we were looking for with our bedroom furniture. We had the items shipped and were very pleased with how little assembly there was when we pulled the items out of the box. Everything arrived in perfect condition and looks perfect in our room. I would recommend everyone I know looking for furniture to go see Jordan. Thank you Jordan for all of your help and thank you Bob’s for the amazing quality furniture!

2022-05-28I have never been to Bobs Furniture before but have been looking for a specific table and decided to run in while in the area. I was happily surprised when I found the table I wanted and at a great price. I worked with Dave G and he was knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He answered all of my questions and when I said I had to get family feedback he was just as nice as he had been the whole time I was there. I did go back and he was just as nice and accommodating as the previous visit. I highly recommend this store and especially Dave G.

2022-07-18So easy. No pressure sales tactics involved. We were just allowed to roam the store. Occasionally, the sales rep, James, who met us at the door, would pop by and inquire if we had any questions. We ended up leaving on our first visit and visiting other furniture stores. We came back to Bobs and were able to customize the sectional we wanted. We even saved so much that we bought a recliner, coffee, and end table.Excellent experience overall.

2022-07-20First time visiting, and purchasing from Bob’s Discount! They have amazing sales associates, Janine was mine, and she was fantastic. Janine answered any and all of my questions. I went in on a mission to find a new couch, and after a quick look around I knew what I wanted… and Janine knew too! She helped me pick out the color and inform me of all of the features included within the couch. She was very informative about next steps and what I can expect. Highly recommend!

2022-05-11Bobs has a very nice showcase for their furniture selection. We were shopping for new furniture for our family room . Our salesperson was knowledgeable and led us to a set that worked perfectly for us. The process was seamless. No long lines or waiting for paperwork. When you are there dont forget to try the lemon sherbet. Its all good!

2022-04-27Walked in the door and was greeted immediately by sales staff who were not pushy but were friendly. When I selected the chair I wanted, Kevin, the sales person, was very helpful in finding me a new one from the factory. He quickly did the paperwork and my chair is coming 4 days later to my home. Easy, painless, and fast.

2022-05-14May 2022: good selection, not so much environmental sustainability or toxic free furniture manufactured, but the punch was they will charge 200$ for delivery, non negotiable no matter if you spend 5000$ or 100$, live 1 mile away or 100.This has given me a complete change of heart.EDITED AFTER BOBS REPLY: the reply is a copy and paste script and it’s normal you are guarding your business. You didn’t address any of the environmental sustainability and toxic free concerns and you very well know most of your furniture would and could not sell in the state of California.I have bought from Bobs before hence why I came back. This isn’t my first rodeo, I understand quality and I know yours is not the best but not the worst. A store that offers better delivery does not mean it’s included in their price, that’s an absurd generalization. With the excuse of the pandemic and the inflation you’re having your costumer pay the price. Typical corporate greed. 200$ wether you deliver 2 miles away or 10 miles away or 100. You don’t bother with loyalty or accommodation due to distance or amount spent.On top of of it all, the items I might have been interested in we’re up to 3 months back ordered and that would not even let you adjust the delivery fee. With the compatibility out there, everyone knows you can find quality and customer accommodation. You lost a lifelong customer.

2022-03-19Sales rep(s) we’re less then helpful because I was shopping in the clearance section of the store. It shouldn’t matter if I’m buying a 2000.00 couch or a 200.00 chair on clearance, I should be treated as a valued customer spending hard earned money. The sales rep I dealt with was less the knowledgeable and seemed unsure of what he was doing.I will say that the manager, Mike, saved my customer experience and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. He is the reason I am rating 4 stars. At one point I was ready to walk out and take my business elsewhere, but Mike stepped up to the plate and saved the day.I would highly recommend that sales reps mirror Mike’s willingness to service the customer instead of treating customer like he is less than valued because he is shopping in the “cheap” section.

2022-03-14In store, everything was great. Our salesman Chad was great. Pretty much got what we wanted in our price range. Delivery was a different story. Our order got delayed for 3 months. Finally it was set to be delivered on a Saturday. I checked in with the tracking text option and I was the 4th stop. I waited for 5 hours and it was still on the 1st stop. I got the run around and apparently it was truck issues. I was told my delivery would be rescheduled for the next day. Unfortunately the shady delivery drivers said it was delivered but damaged. My delivery was canceled!? I had to call customer support. Samuel was nice but now I have to wait a couple more months to get more whole order now. Unacceptable but I dont want to go through the furniture searching again. Hopefully this time they get it right

2022-07-05Chad helped us out and was great. He was patient with us as we searched for a sectional and he was patient with our two young kids. The prices were reasonable to what we saw at other furniture places but we found what we were looking for at Bob’s and nowhere else.
