They spend HOURS running equipment outside my window in my apartment each week, yet all they really accomplish is mowing the lawn which shouldnt take nearly as long as they let it. Last week I literally saw half a dozen guys spend at least 30 minutes with leaf blowers blowing around the leaves that the lawn mower guy chopped up, only for none of the leaves to go anywhere, everything to look exactly the same as before they got here, and then spend probably an extra 5-10 minutes blowing off their truck as a group. I cannot believe my apartment complex is paying this company for a dozen guys to play around with equipment all day. What a joke.
This place does shabby work at best. Also live in Autumn Ridge (lansing,mi). Theyve piled snow in places where people need to get into their garage. Have left parking spaces untouched for over a week, even though there is limited parking as it is. Do not get all the way to the sidewalks on the main roads. Have left driving areas with only enough space for one vehicle to drive through. I have been at this residence for at least five years and this is by far the worst winter in regards to the timely manner of snow removal and the overall finished job performed by this company. If it were me paying this company, I would be looking for compensation for lack of efficiency.

This is a very unprofessional company steals employees pay and will lie and never own up to stealing from employee, others have proof and Holly is the biggest theft of them all.Dont trust Brilar!!!If anyone need more proof will post it on request so how will a company maintain that there honest when they steal from employees and still wont pay.
I live in autum ridge apartments in lansing. I shoveled my main enterence in my bldg. All they do is one pass done the middle of the parking lot. 24 hrs after the snow they finally did the sidewalks. Lots of fancy equipment sitting around very slow to plow.
Zero quality, Minimal effort, Standards low.. work ends with same results. (City of Detroit resident.) They need supervisors to ensure the job is done properly to meet certain standards..
I am disappointed in the quality of service our Lake Orion HOA is receiving from Bryar this year. It has been spotty at best with respect to weekly lawn maintenance, weed control and over all appearance.
They rarely show on their schedule day. They rarely weedwhip and regularly miss large grass areas. The only way it is done accurately is when a supervisor is present.
I heard from a few subcontractors that they don’t pay on time . They give false excuses to keep their money . It’s sad these poor companies work hard and have to feed there families.
They did a lot on Post st in Detroit and it looks better than it did could have spent a little more time but a good job!!!
The crew on the ground by me (Bentler) did a extraordinary Job in like a 10×10 block radius or better greatly appreciate them thanks a million

2022-05-02As a small contractor in Iowa, I would not recommend contracting with this company as they will lie to you and not be forth right in dealing with contracts. If you like to beg for your compensation for labor, materials, and services you provided on there behalf, and dont mind them paying when it suits them. They are net 45 and cannot meet there contractual obligations in a timely manner. I paid for the salt, labor and wear and tear on my vehicles, to have them treat me and my sons this way. I now understand why they dont want you interacting with the people your providing service to? And to work for this company would require my company to take our logo off our trucks and equipment, because i will not represent Brilar. The manager at a store shared with me, this was there best year of service? These statements are true and factual.

2022-04-22Literally not one single good thing to say. They still owe us money from jobs we have completed. We are taking this to our attorney. One of their employees spilled the beans and told us their entire finance staff quit. They still owe us 6,100.00. They cannot tell anyone when we will be paid. They say this week, this week, and it never comes. NEVER EVER EVER DO BUSINESS IN ANY CAPACITY WITH THIS BUSINESS. I handled their snow for belle tire. And our stuff is being turned over to an attorney so. STAY AWAY! Horrible company. Oh if brilar want this taken down they will pay me 6100.00 in full.

2022-08-09Hello. I work near an area where Brilar cuts. Unfortunately their employees have poor standards as well as poor attitudes. Quite honestly the employees are a representation of a poor workplace and subpar management as well as supervisors.

2021-06-29Brilar does a great job w sod replacement and tree planting. They complete the job in a timely manner. Unexpected setbacks are communicated and explained. The crew is very professional and work hard to complete the job. I have never had issues w the sod or the plantings after the installation. My questions are answered promptly. I would highly recommend their services.

2021-01-30I worked here a very short but time. 4 or 5 of the longest months of my life. I’ve been in the industry for over 20 years. They had a branch manager who knew nothing about how to treat people to start, but also absolutely no clue on the business. I was the project manager for their amazon contract. 1 million sq ft of plowing and salting. We had 3 people working for hrs on end over 60 hrs in a 72 hr period. The manager lied to corporate to save her job after I went to corporate about the issues. Worst experience in my career in landscaping. They play like they are the big leagues but they have more trucks them men. It’s a Façade stay away if your big business. Be assured what I’m reviewing is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this company’s ethics and values.

2021-06-28Been working with the Brilar - Livonia Branch for sometime now and would highly recommend them. They are professional, responsive and do what they say they will do. If there is anything that needs to be looked at or attended to, they get right back out there and address it right away. Quality work at a fair price.

2020-09-15Let me say this before my review, I appreciate the management taking care to reply to our reviews, and I know because of managements professional attitude this situation will be resolved.Unbelievable poor job!! Grass torn up. Patches of grass left undone. Poor quality!! They were really bad with our complex at beginning of summer. Then they made great improvement, but now they have absolutely no concept of good mowing techniques. Here at Holiday Park Towne Houses, we as a community take great pride in our properties appearance. We all work together for the beauty of our complex. Someone needs to come out and look at this unprofessional job. I would think that Holiday Park Towne Houses are a very good account!

2019-08-28Employed with Brilar for over three years. Great company to work with! Family-owned. Caring owners. Go above and beyond to do what is right for their employees. Always willing to work with you, no matter the circumstances (family, personal, medical, etc.). Just have to take your legitimate concerns to the right people for resolution. They have this crazy standard of expecting their employees to be professional, courteous, and behave accordingly and make necessary adjustments as needed.

2020-10-26As a small business owner I was contacted by Travis Jacks to power wash a commercial building in my home town in Florida.After proposal I was hired for the cleaning. Months and months went by WITHOUT payment I had to call and warn them about having to be put in collections.Concluding all of this they took zero responsibility for thier lack of actions of leaving an invoice unpaid for over 5 months.PLEASE BEWARE AS THIS A VERY COMMON PRACTICE!STAY AWAY!
