This company is the most racist and prejudice home health care I have ever worked for. They currently practice discrimination against pregnant women and women who just had a baby and are breastfeeding. They will follow you into the bathroom on your breaks stalking you to see what you are doing and how long youre taking your break. The managers dont even know what they are doing. Kristy Boyoll should have her license revoked. She doesnt know what she is doing. She doesnt know the difference between sterile surgical technique and aseptic technique (clean technique) and she doesnt know how to pair up the right orientees with the person they should be shadowing with. She will purposefully put an orientee with a nurse who is too overwhelmed to allow the orientee to shadow her. Instead of orienting you they set you up to plan to terminate you. The DON Susan Johnson Richardson has no class or ettique and actually beleives its her right to eat the young nurses especcially if they have children that are still very small or in diapers and if you happen to be a nurse who is also still in school maybe because she didnt further her education as a nurse and it bothers her. They will not even allow you to look at you phone on your own break time and they are prejudice against natural Afro textured hair. They wont come right out and say it but they would rather you either perm your hair or cover it up with a weave because if you wear natural twists or locks they will send staff members like Laura Oddo to pull you ponytail or hair. The other black ladies that work for their company either have weaves or they perm their hair. They practice COLORISM, RACISM and discrimination against pregnant women and women who recently had a baby. I will not stop until this particular branch is shutdown. Please do not support this business especially this Farmington Hills location. This should be rated 0 stars out of 5 but it wouldnt give me the option.
🔴⚪️🔵 July 4th Party 🇺🇸Talk about royal treatment, we had a terrific Fourth of July BBQEveryone participated to make this a fun event. The activities director decorated the dining room in full red white & blue. The patio was inviting with shaded umbrella tables, flowers & flags. We had a volunteer cooking burgers & hotdogs on our new grill along with all the fixings-what a feast! Both our Executive director & Dining services coordinator worked both room serving food and merriment. The musician entertaining us played military and show tunes and really got the room rocking. We even had three deserts, my favorite was cold watermelon. Im so lucky to live at a place where we have fun.Anna Skupski
This is the worst place ever. This place don’t care about there residents they only care about money. There residents don’t get the treated like get they should. Many of the residents complain about the food that’s being served. This suppose to be an independent living this place is more like a nursing home.

2021-12-02I am very happy with the environment my Mother is living in. The staff is truly caring and have gone over and above expectations to insure she is comfortable and happy. Although they are experiencing major staffing shortages, as is the rest of the country, they all jump in to make sure all needs are met, including the Manager cleaning rooms, the front staff serving meals and even doing laundry. They continue to offer first-rate activities, excursions and field trips. They are maintaining a safe environment and show respect to the residents as individuals. I would recommend this facility.

2021-12-26Brookdale Farmington Hills staff and their Medical Teams work extremely hard to insure the residents are taken care of. They are caring and compassionate. Unlike the last place we were at. We as a family finally feel like we can relax knowing our father is being taken care of.

2021-02-18I have lived here for one year and have been very satisfied with Brookdale - Farmington Hills. The staff and residents are friendly and helpful. The food is good. There are 2-3 activities provided each day during quarantine. The facilities are a bit dated, but are very clean. They have managed the covid-19 issue beautifully. I feel safe and comfortable.

2021-02-10I used to work at the Farmington Hills location. They have always cared about their residents. The staff responds right away when concerns are brought to their attention. It’s reasonably priced and the effort to care is evident in their everyday work. Thankful for their commitment as essential workers for their residents that had no where else to go.

2021-04-28This is a marvelous, caring facility for the 62+ group that need a live in care solution! It is very clean, and ALL of the staff impresses me as truly interested in the comfort, car and well being of all residents. The facility is very well managed by true pros like Joe Whitney and Rebecca Holmes. Strongly recommended!

2022-01-10I like living here . However there are maintenance issues that have been ongoing for over a year. There is no timeline for the issues to be fixed except for management to say continueously that dome are capital expenses and some are because we only have one maintenance person. Brookdale corporate should be ashamed not to have addressed and fixed these issues. At this point in time it does not appear the issues will be addressed and fixed this year leading to the issues waiting another year to be addressed.I am still living here. Most of the maintenance issues have been resolvedWhat has not been resolved is the food issues. We get cold food. The food is not kept at safe food temps. I challenge the Oakland health department to do an unanounvced inspection at 11:30 any week day! I would be very surprised if the kitchen woul pass inspection!

2021-02-12My Dad has lived at Brookdale Farmington Hills for almost two years. Wonderful staff, food, caregivers and apartment. I live in Novi and it’s conveniently located and much less expensive then other senior communities with services in the area.

2018-09-20As a former employee ofBrookdale Farmington Hills, I was employed as the bus driver providing the residents transportation needs and I also worked in dining services as a server. I enjoyed my job and gave the residents the best service, care, love and respect that they fully deserved. I love and miss the residents there, they were like family to me. I also enjoyed the staff I worked with providing the best quality in care & service we could as a team. I try and go back and visit them when I can.

2021-07-26I delivered primos pizza to this place once. After giving them wings to a worker she immediately complained that the sauce was on the side, then lied about the price given to her over the phone. She said it was 17.30 instead of 17.90. 60 cents, big deal. She then gave me a twenty and demanded three dollars in change anyway. No tip. I make 7 dollars an hour. After getting back to primos I was told she wanted a refund. After driving 10 minutes back there I waited about 10 minutes at the front desk before she told me that they were already eating the food, but she still wanted the refund. Throughout the whole experience I was treated like garbage, and I empathize with any seniors if they are treated the same.

2020-08-20My brother moved in when he started showing signs of dementia; with the assistance of healthcare people he was able to enjoy visiting with other residents at the dining room and several activities. It was good to know that the kind staff came in weekly to do light cleaning. When he passed away the managers, Joe and Rebecca were very understanding and flexible as we dealt with a move out.The only things that kept it from a fifth star was -limited activity organization. ( With elderly residents with limited memories, activities were listed but no effort was made to remind and gather individuals for activities like euchre), and some billing issues which were eventually corrected. I believe the new manager Joe may have put in place people who eliminated these issues. Also using a Brookdale community it was nice to know there were options if he had lived- but became even more affected by his dementia, the Brookdale memory care location was available to us. I had been talking to Aimee at memory care Brookdale and she was very understanding and helpful. In the past we had use the Northville Brookdale as he recovered from injuries and Shannon there was very accommodating.
