Comment: Customer service was horrendous. Luis at the front desk needs to work on his customers service skills, no smile or happiness whats so ever. Also they have no phone etiquette, left me on speakerphone hold, asked them to properly place me on hold because I can hear their work conversation. Had to call again because of course they didnt listen to customers. Placed again on hold for another 10 minutes... Yeah, listen to Brady and go to Enterprise.

Comment: Budget gave me an electric car which I didnt want, the person in charge was not friendly in giving me a gas car, He charged me an additional $35 for giving me a gas car and was rude and didnt care about a review about his service. I end up paying a fortune for a single day. It was totally different from the service given by Hertz.Budget replied to this comment and apologize for this situation, I appreciate that. Thank you.

Comment: Horrible experience! The manager was very rude, not willing to help at all! One of the employees was willing to help and he took the offer back just because he didn’t want to help at all and didn’t want to give us another car. Once we talked to customer service and told them what happened, they asked to talk to him and he completely changed his attitude and actually offered to help. The guy is a joke and needs to be fired!

Comment: Honestly, the outdoor staff wasn’t very helpful. Unlike other locations I’ve rented from before, I had to seek out someone to point out all the exterior damage before I drove away. Upon return, there was no one to instruct me where to park. Also, the parking lot was crazy packed both times I’ve been in there, making it more difficult to navigate.

We really wanted a car for a week with inbuilt navigation as we are from Australia & driving on the opposite side of the road would be easier with it. Luis gladly accepted our debit card unlike the place across the street & we were on our way in no time. So pleased we were able to walk in & have a car ready that suited us so quickly. Our family is extremely grateful for the kind& quick service Luis gave us & his team who helped him. This place deserves 10 stars!

Comment: We went to switch out the vehicle originally rented and add an additional drive. I had originally been given a Challenger instead of a Prius when picking up from the airport and it was not big enough for my needs. The manger there made the switching process super easy and also waived the additional driver fee for our troubles. Definitely made the experience amazing!

Comment: Waited upstairs for half an hour to be be third in line. Manager tells me I need to go across the street and down an elevator for shorter lines and more agents. There is a line 20 deep and takes my kids and I over an hour to get our vehicle. Terrible.

Comment: I rented from this location a while back and Ill not ever do business with them again. A neighbor had the car towed around 4am out of spite. It was not illegally parked, they just wanted it moved so they could park where I was parked. I notified budget that morning. The car was full of gas because I was returning it that morning. 5 days later Budget is calling me saying I need to return the vehicle. I explain to them for the 50th time that Ive called them several times to see if they picked up the vehicle. Keep in mind during this time they are charging me daily fees for the rental. What should have been a $90 rental turned out to cost me over $1200. I was never given a breakdown of the charges, I spent countless hours on hold and corporate management never returned one phone call.

Comment: On a family holiday in America and was very disappointed with the service that we received. We booked a mid size svu which is what we have at home and got a very small car, we went back in and asked to change and was told no we couldn’t there were no other cars. Therefore our children had to travel 5 hours with luggage on top of them. We then left a pair of $200 shoes in the car at Anaheim, rang as soon as we realised and was told the car was with someone else now and to check at lax lost and found, we didn’t know how to do this so made another trip to the anaheim hire place and they wouldn’t contact lost and found on our behalf. We then went to the airport and went around with our children for 30 mins looking for it and couldn’t find it. The shoes didn’t just disappear and no help whatsoever from the company. We realise that it was our mistake to leave them in the car but some assistance from the company would have been great, they could not have been less interested. Would never book through this company again.

Comment: We booked an impromptu trip for 7 days and had to add an extra day last minute. Everyone was super helpful, and the process to book, pick up the car, add the extra day, and drop off the keys was super easy and painless. The rental itself was a 2022 Dodge Charger and it was clean and didn’t smell like smoke (have had a rental car before from other rental providers that smelled). I also ended up leaving my Apple Watch in the rental car by accident. Called and Chris was super helpful. Had me call back when he had a chance to request for someone to look in the vehicle, they found it, and I was able to retrieve it. So thankful to Chris and the staff for helping me get my watch back. Overall very pleased with our experience.

I got in and out quickly and they have not just a kiosk key guy to do complicated keys and stuff but also an automated machine to make things easier so you dont have to wait which is really nice. And the one really cool thing is the employees seem to Actually be available and pretty helpful

A few days after we dropped our car off, we contacted Budget because we were unable to find my husbands cell phone. They immediately went into action to see if the phone had been left in the car. They were able to track the car we had been using, which was in another lot now, and found our phone (to our relief!) Thank you Chris, and to your staff!

Comment: During the summer shortage of rental cars in 2021, this location saved my vacation. I had booked a rental with a competitor months in advance. They had zero cars upon my arrival and others were there waiting ahead of me. I called Budget/Avis on Katella and they helped me right away and the price was similar to what I had booked months before at the competitor.Ive rented from this location several times in the past and now theyre the only ones I trust because they dont overbook their rentals. Comment: Take photos before and after you take the car with a time stamp! These guys tried to pin damage that was previously there on me but luckily I had photos ready. Otherwise I would have ended up in court and probably would have lost! Besides that they marked me as half a tank to start even though the tank was at a few gallons less.Its near Disneyland so it looks like they are ready for victims.

Comment: I received the car 3/4s full of gas. The guy told me to return it at the same level. Well, being the nice guy I am, and knowing that I didnt want to any extra fees, I filled the darn thing up and returned it full. Well, apparently theres a clause in the contract that if you dont drive a total of 75 miles, then you have to provide a gas receipt. Of course I didnt provide the receipt... So, them being the con-artists that they are, charged me an extra fee. Complete BS. So they got extra gas from me AND charged me a fee. Ill never do business with this location again. The silver-lining in this is that when I complained to the corporate office, they were very nice and refunded the extra charge without any pushback.

Comment: Its just next to the hotel where Im staying. It only takes five minutes to walk there.I originally scheduled to pick up the car at 9:30, but I waited for nearly 50 minutes to get the car. It was a bit too long and I felt that I was not prepared in advance. Moreover, I paid everything online a few weeks ago. The interior of the car was not clean enough, and there were crumbs in some storage areas. I don’t know if it’s like this in the United States or this store. However, budget car rental is still very cheap. Renting a camry for a day only costs about NT$1,000.Because everything is prepaid online, I dont need to pay anything, but the counter didnt ask me. I have an extra gas service, which costs 65 US dollars including tax and service fees. I told him I didnt need it, and he said what if. When I replaced the car, I wouldnt be charged the $65 if it was full of gas. However, I finally decided not to fill up the gas and return the car with about one and a half tanks left, because I was afraid that I would be charged this amount if I filled up the gas.

Comment: Terrible staff at this location and the one a mile and a half away on Harbor. Will NEVER use this place again. I rent cars about twice a month for work and this place just lost 100% of my business.Basically I booked a car at the location on Harbor for 8am the morning of. They didnt show up until 845 and then blamed me for not booking 24 hours in advance. My reservation was until 5pm. I showed up at 455 (within legal terms of returning the car) and the store was already closed. I then spent 30 minutes with customer service where I got transferred back to the main menu twice until the system just hung up on me. I ended up just going to this location which was 1 1/2 miles away. The had the nerve to charge me the $25 one way return fee.Never doing business here again.

Comment: We rented in San Fransisco and had a wonderful experience with that clerk. It’s been nothing but awful since then. We called here and asked how much it would be to extend for 4 hours and they wanted to charge us 120 dollars. We payed 174 for 3 days. Then when we arrive they wanted to charge us 75 extra dollars for less than half a tank of gas missing because since we wouldn’t pay that astronomical extension fee we barely made it to the return in their “29 minute grace period”. We filled up earlier for 42 from close to empty. I understand charging the price of the gas and maybe a little extra for the hourly to have someone do it but 75 dollars?? That’s insane and unreasonable. Will never rent with budget again.

Comment: We flew into Lobg Beach airport from Utah. In Utah, we don’t have toll roads. We were not told how to use the toll device on the windshield. Subsequently, we went through a toll road and were unable to pay the one-time toll fee of about $4 through the website because it is a “rental” vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle we were told it will cost us a $50 service fee PLUS the toll road fee. We were told it’s our fault because we signed the contract which “clearly” explains everything. So instead of paying $4 we are now paying more than $50.
