Comment: I will give a zero star if there has one. Super disappointed and upset. When return the car, the lady named Maria said because the car is dirty She Can charge me cleaning fee up to $150. However, the car only had water marks outside because of the frosty weather. This is the first time I have ever experienced When return the car. She said I need to return the car as same condition as pick up. I felt super insult as she said I am a decent person, so I will return the car as the same condition as pick up. Ive rented car for many times and this is the first time that super rude. Ive rented car in other Budget location and it was totally fine. Nevertheless, I went cheapest car wash and all water marks were gone. This location is super unprofessional and with awful employee. Will never come this place again.

Comment: Take your business elsewhere, these folks are straight crooks, had to rent a car for a few days as mine was being repaired, had to extend a few extra days to wait for parts, they increased my daily rate 40% on thoseExtra days without notifying us, and lots of hidden charges, a 7 day rental cost me over $1,000 when I was quoted at $60 a day, rent elsewhere

Comment: Be very aware when you book!!!!! Just returned a car. Filled with gas 1block away, still charged the convenience upgrade. Most interesting of all is the clerk gave us a lower grade car than we rented. Just lied and said it was a upgrade. Than said there was nothing they were going to do about the mistake.Bait and Switch. Renter beware. If you are keeping it under 50 miles just get a 19.99 uhaul or home Depot truck, even at $1.00 per mile you will save time, money, and frustration.

They charge you for service which was not provided and they charge you for days even after you’ve returned the rented car already. They do not respond back and you will not get your money back. So again DO NOT rent your car from here unless you really want to donate your money. Save your money and rent somewhere else. 0/5 stars!!!!!

Today September 4, I received e-receipt and was shocked to see a $489 charge and said that I returned the car Sept 3. what a shocker to see a $489 charge instead of $116!!!

Comment: I just got my e-receipt from this rental car and I was overcharged. I rented a car on August 26 and returned it on August 28 at 8 AM. Just how I booked it. I was overcharged and my receipt stated that I returned it on September 3, 2022. I was only supposed to be charged for the days I have the car which is for 2 days amounting to $116 and something cents. But they charged me $489!!!! I had to make a case against them which is so inconvenient. Dont book from this agency!!

Comment: I had a reservation for a one-way rental. The guy helping me was trying to charge me $610 for a rental that was only checked in for $226. Yet was saying that that is how much it’s supposed to be. Yet when I rented a one-way rental the weekend prior and the hold was only $200. The guy looked lost and confused. Then I told him to charge it as a credit card not a debit card. As he fidgeted with the computer, he pulled out rental car keys. Then proceeds to tell me that they are sold out and have no more cars left. Then tells me that they sent out a cancellation email the day before. So I proceeded to show him my email inbox and there was no email from them. Then he was trying to blame the computer for not sending the email. As he was telling me that the cars are sold out, he has rental car keys in his hand. Smh not to mention taking personal calls on a business phone, while customers are waiting in a long line. Terrible experience, would not recommend reserving a rental here. I would give this place negative stars if I could.

Comment: Well, personally, I rented a car some time ago withStephanie Rodriguez, and personally she was very friendly and kind of a good car I did not have any problem with her or her service and as for my card she charged me up to 3 days after I delivered the car and what she told me was that they were charged without no problem. Of course, just as she gave me the car, I gave it to her clean, I went and took it to wash before handing it over, the car arrived impeccable, whats more, I dont remember if I checked it because she saw it very clean, but there are people who that same day look at what they took a car all dirty but good is the criterion of each person, I recommend it without any problems to my friends.

Comment: Beware of this location! I rented a car for one day. On return it was inspected and I was told it was fine. Weeks later I received a letter stating that I was being charged $250 for animal hair found on the carpet. I didnt have any animals in the car. Customer service was rude and they used my credit card information on file to charge my account without my permission. Extremely underhanded and frustrating.

However, I would like to point out some details .1) I find it incredibly surprising that after your daughter took my daughter’s favorite toy without asking, I felt bad and was going to let her keep it, but then you came to me screaming in front of my customers just to get a free rental. Sorry not with me.So I demanded back what belongs to my daughter.I feel very sorry for the little girl, not for you.2) My regular customers know me. They know I am very nice . Therefore, after you told me you didn’t want this Tacoma, I offered you to trade vehicles to the nearest location at no cost . Which you refused abruptly. If there was an issue with the rental, I was happy to even give you a complimentary discount. But there wasn’t . So the only solution was to take it and exchange it .3) Instead of accepting, you started screaming at my other customers who were mad at you for interfering and cutting the line.4) You don’t go to a business, insult the staff and other customers, and expect to receive service .5) There was absolutely no reason to threaten me with writing a bad review if I didn’t give you 50% off .6) next time, be more proactive. Be nice to customer service ( in general ) and you will see a difference.You could have ended with a free rental at the end .But decided to call the police on me for refusing service.7) what did the police do when they arrived ?They Politely asked you to give me the keys back because the Tacoma was still on our possession and you were not authorized to drive away with it.Trying to steal my personal belongings? Inside my back office, when I only allowed you to use the restroom? Come on.Teach your daughter better values next time.

Comment: POLICE CALLED!Wow, Stephanie OWNS this business but apparently has little to no long term vision. We arrived at the store and my daughter used her bathroom. Daughter is SEVEN so it was gracious of her to allow. On the way back my daughter saw those new “pop toys” and Stephanie offered to give it to her. My daughter said thanks and we wrapped up. After wrapping up, we prepared to leave and realized the car was wafting in smoke. Since it’s a huge penalty, I went inside to note and also, negotiate a discount or a replacement. This turned into exchanging pretty typical arguments and I finally told her “screw you” and indicated I’d take my complaints to social media. She followed me to the truck and demanded the toy back and proceeded to stand in front of the truck and pull a van in front of me. After I refused to give back the toy (how silly, really), she canceled my paid for rental contract. We waited for the police and they gave me a courtesy ride to Enterprise. I recommend just going to Enterprise ♥️♥️

Comment: This is the WORSE experience of my life! Not only did Stephanie forget to check the car in - we were charged 3 EXTRA days, sent to loss prevention, charged $575, and an extra $250 for vacuuming the car. No one was willing to help me. Stephanie spoke to me on the phone while she was cleaning. Did not care nor wanted to help. She also charged me extra $250 for cleaning fee that I had no idea existed. The customer service is awful and I would never recommend this place. I was on the phone trying to take care of these issues for most of my day. GO TO Enterprise! I am warning everyone that reads this- the WORSE, WORSE, WORSE. Concord Budget would be the most horrendous experience.

Comment: By far the best car rental place in the whole East Bay. Traveling often and previously trying different agencies, Stephanie /Budget has the best rates and most important thing to me about any business is that her customer service is second to none. Ran late a few times/traffic traveling from across the bridge trying to make it by closing time and she waited a an hour after closing time for me to arrive to pick up my rental. Amazing.Other Budget rental agency on North Main-Manager in particular was so rude and very unprofessional. She would not even answer one single question i had over the phone cause Gosh forbid she was closing at noon on Saturday and it was11:56pm. Thankfully that was the last and final straw (3xs)with that agency and then I found Stephanie at the the agencyBudget/Avis at 1790 Concord ave. Night and Day service. Reason why theres such a big surplus of cars at North Main is no one hardly wants to rent from there unlike the friendly and superb customer service you get from Stephanie and her staff. Facts

Stephanie is always very pleasant and accommodating and on most days, has a great selection of cars to choose from. As for the price, in comparison to other Budget locations nearby, this one is the lowest most of the time. Overall a great place to rent cars.

Comment: Update 2019.. I still continue to rent a lot for family vacations and traveling. I continue to recommend this location for their customer service and outstanding smooth process.. ************ I rent a lot due to my son being in College at UCSB. So I have rented quite a few rentals since August 2015, Around 7 I believe. Always ready for me when I walk in the door. Very pleasant and service is always very good. The ladies always have the Office clean and paperwork and payment done always less than 10 mins. Sign and keys in hand and away I go. Always fast thorough service and I will continue doing business with them =) I would highly refer this location.Thank you ladies for making it a breeze!

Comment: Located next to the Sears Auto Center, the Budget facility is clean, its staff friendly and helpful. The best thing about it, however, was the ease and speed with which I got my car and was able to be on my way.Although I requested a compact, I ended up with a Hyundai Elantra, which I wouldnt buy, but it was clean, got decent gas mileage and suited my needs for this particular rental purpose. As my own car was in the shop for repair, this vehicle served an important purpose, as a friend was in town and I needed a car to pick and drop her at the airport.As it turned out, my own car had transmission issues, and I was faced with purchasing a new car - which I did. When I told the Budget agent that I needed the car for more than just one day, she was most helpful in arranging for four days (New Years Day included). I ended up renting the vehicle from Thursday through Sunday and couldnt be more pleased with the service.I give this Budget Car Rental Agency at Sunvalley Shopping Center my highest recommendation(s).
