Denise was so friendly and helpful from the beginning.The basic car was a brand new full automatic KIA Soul, easy to drive and comfortable.Happy with the car, happier with the fast rent, happiest with friendly Denise, I hope to share with her more pictures of my day trips!

Also if you rent from Oxnard airport near closing and dont make it back by closing you will be charged for another day rental. Because no after hours drop box is provided.

Comment: Be aware that there is no after hours drop box for keys at this location. Nothing. This is not explained in the reservation process. The owner was pretty rude in explaining this to me when I arrived. There is a dollar drop box but I was told I could not use it, even though the locations are literally next to each other. Budget corporate was helpful and cancelled and refunded my reservation.

Comment: I was very pleased with the car. I received a free upgrade and liked the Kia Soul a lot. The windshield had drops of something all over the outside which I had difficulty removing. Also the window washer fluid had one small squirt left in it then was empty so several times I had to put water on the windshield to clean it. Otherwise the car was clean inside and out. I would recommend Budget and I will use them next time I need a rental.

Comment: Budget has no way to protect your privacy. Someone called and booked a rental for a month using my credit card on file. I called Budget and they refused to remove from credit card that is on file. I even called the fraud department and they said they cannot remove my credit card that is on file. They refused to reverse the charge. Do not book through Budget as they offer zero protection. I highly recommend you book through Expedia as they will protect and respect your privacy. Budget does not respect or protect your privacy. They do not enforce any ways of security.

Comment: When I brought the car home I found that the car had crumbs in all the cup holders. There was visible dust on the dashboard, and the entire car while it appeared washed from the outside still had bug streaks on the the windshield. I brought the car home, vacumed and realized it had a bandaid in the back cup holder, as well as fingerprint marks on the passenger glass along with foot prints (barefeet) on the front windshield on the passenger side. Very messy

Comment: I appreciate that my registration was ready and my concierge asked where I was going (tahoe) and took upon himself to change my sedan to a 4×4 in the case of inclement weather...it was a valued choice. Still got great gas mileage and a comfortable ride!!! Better than prior sedan rental Ive had in prior experiences.

Comment: I booked a car online, walked in and the worker said he didn’t have any cars for the day. Why would you be able to book online if they don’t have any cars? I’ve booked there before because it was cheaper but I’ll never go there again. After you book with them I would seriously recommend calling before you get there!

Comment: I rented a mini van from them and it was filthy dirty when they gave it to me from the inside and out. Didn’t realize that they didn’t wash the car or cleaned from the inside until I got home. There was also issues with their headlights being so dim that I had to drive with the high beams on. Maintenance light came on and was having issues putting gas. Please do not rent from them. They didn’t even reimburse me from the amount I paid. Will never rent a vehicle from them. Terrible customer service.

I really appreciate his kindness and great attitude. The cars have always been under 10,000 miles so far.. and I drive with complete confidence. They are usually very clean inside and out. Comment: Henry F. was incredibly kind after I somehow managed to screw up my booking. Seeing I was visibly upset they did everything in their power to accommodate the issue created. I paid more than expected due to the error on my part but was able to actually save a lot of money thanks to Henrys help. I will always recommend this Budget!!! 100%. Plus its a beautiful drive and worth getting away from LA. The Impala was beautiful and the perfect car for the little cross country trip I had planned to see family and friends:) Both drop off and pickup locations were also easy to find. Thanks again!

Comment: I have rented from Budget at the Oxnard airport a few times, and I have always found it to be a very pleasant experience. The counter staff are friendly and efficient, I always get a very good car, and it takes no time at all to check out and return the car. Compared to the alternative, which for me would be to rent at LAX, the OXR Budget is less stressful and it is usually cheaper, even after factoring in shuttle transportation from LAX. The only inconvenience is that the counter closes at 6 pm, but it cant be helped because the airport itself closes early.

Comment: I will try to avoid this location in the future. My reservation was for 11:30 AM and I arrived around 12:20 PM. I waited in line for about 10 minutes and the rental agent informed me there were no cars available. He told me he was expecting some cars to be returned soon. After I left the counter a few other customers were rented cars. I inquired again at 1:00 PM and still no car available. Concerned about the time as the location was closing at 2:00 PM I inquired again and the agent checked his computer and verified my reservation details which included a one way drop off at Burbank Airport. He then offered me an SUV for an upgrade fee. I accepted a reduced upgrade fee and was soon on my way though late to my destination. I will say the SUV I received was very nice and drove great but had I not agreed to the upgrade fee, it was looking most likely that I would not have had a car to drive and would have been stuck. As far as the agent, he was very overwelmed that day, and seemed to have had a very rough morning.

Comment: I am a business member and rent cars about 50 times per year. Ive tried about every car rental company and Budget is by far the best car rental company to work with. Cars are always available. Price is always competitive. Associates are always polite. If you ever have to deal with the corporate office due to a time issue or a collision issue, the people there are very professional and courteous. Budget, and Avis, not only do all they can to earn your business; they do just as much to retain it. Couldnt ask for much more.

I get there at my schedule time for pick up just for Henry the unprofessional person behind the desk(what more can I expect from a man who has his pants sagging) to tell me they dont have a car for me but can rent me a mini van for $8 more a day. I reserved a standard CAR not Van! He had me waiting for another vehicle that was scheduled to return just to tell me he cant give me that car because it wasnt serviced. Totally rude & unhelpful with the whole situation. MIND YOU I reserved this 2 weeks in advanced. Basically told me to drive to Santa Barbara or LA to get a car and closed the day. Never again. I called the customer service & am now changing my reservation. I will call Luis to notify him then call corporate. This isnt the first time but will be the last time I deal with them!

Comment: The car was nice and clean and under 18k miles. The staff was nice and helpful. They walked through with me to note the scratches on the care beforehand so I would know they were there and I didnt do them upon my return. I had a few minor issues after I left the lot (smell, noted scratch, issue with key) and I called on each one and was helped and reassured to my satisfaction. They also work with my insurance company which is great to help me get a discount in addition to a coupon as car rentals are obviously not cheap (but they were the cheapest by comparison). The employees I dealt with were very nice, helpful and actually really funny!

Comment: PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!!I went to go pick up my car. I pre-paid online and was hassled by LUIS and seen that my credit card had a unexpected charges on it that Budget charged me an additional charge because LUIS added extra coverage on my agreement without my knowledge. So if you get a car here please READ THE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING IT CAREFULLY. LUIS is a fast talker and told me that I was signing for tickets and toll road fees and to pay the remaining balance when I return. I initiated and signed and left. When I brought back the car, I had additional insurance coverage fee charge on my agreement that I was paying for. I use my own insurance so I didnt need coverage on the rental. But Luis decided to charge me anyway.... Please avoid the Hassle from BUDGET IN OXNARD AIRPORT.

Comment: What an easy transaction. From walking into the location at the Oxnard Airport and being greeted with a smile, to car pick-up, and drop off was a joy. Even using the automated phone system to extend our rental for a couple of days was easy. Picked up the car with a full tank of gas and it was clean! I hate so much when renting a car from the competition that is still dirty from the previous renter! Irritating when you have to ask for them to wipe it down. Everything worked in our rental too. Just a pleasure to rent a vehicle from a business that takes pride in servicing their customers. Thank you Budget!
