Our sales person and manager took care of us and even though we got there as they were closing, they were more than happy to stay and help. My deal was done over the phone with the advertised price (which was already incredible) and a call back from the real finance guy (there really is only one there!) and help from him on an educated and experiences way of getting the loan done where it would be most advantageous for me. Highly recommend!

Comment: We rented a car. The car was basically brand new, and I took pictures of the car. After I was done renting, and returned the car, the people working there said that there was damage that was there. Even with proof of my photo before and after with the date, they denied my proof and said I have to pay the repair fees. The manager, is the worst manager Ive ever seen in any place. Hes like a child and doesnt take people seriously. While I was talking with him, he walked put several times because he was frustrated with my claim. He also had a huge attitude and was not polite whatsoever. This has been the worst experience I have ever had renting a car. And the people working there, mainly the manager, is the rudest person I have ever seen in my life. A living devil.

My last stop was budget Rent-A-Car in Norwalk and it should have been my 1st!! There was no pressure to purchase the vehicle, and all staff were very friendly and attentive. I decided to purchase a vehicle because I didnt think it was a good idea to keep riding public transportation while COVID is still lingering around. To be honest I didnt too much care for the option of vehicles available at this location, however the pricing on the vehicles were great. I really want to say thank you to Craig Wicks for being so patient with my pickiness and indecisiveness during my car hunting process. Craig was not pushy and super attentive, and even made sure certain aesthetics of the vehicle I chose were repaired before I took the vehicle home. I also want to thank Dave (dont remember his last name) for doing his best to work out a deal that best fit my financial situation, and for continuing to be available and resourceful for any other questions or requests I had after I purchased the vehicle. I have referred several of my friends to them as well. They are AMAZING and I would NEVER buy a car either private party or from a dealership! Phil Arey has always found me the car I wanted if they didnt have it in their inventory. I just bought another car from them last month, a 2018 Ford Edge SEL Sport with Ecoboost and it was fully loaded! Plus, it only had 7,800 miles on it! I LOVE MY NEW CAR! This new Ford Edge replaced my last purchase from them in October 2012 when I purchased a Ford Edge Ltd. with ONLY 13,000 miles on it! If you have never considered buying a previously owned car from Budget Rent A Car Sales of Norwalk, you have spent TOO MUCH $$$ and should definitely check them out on your next car purchase. When I first got to budget car rental Cesar greeted me with a smile and showed me around with such patience. He did not pressure me or try to sell. He simply answered all my questions and was willing to let me test-drive as many cars as I wanted my overall experience was easy fast honest and transparent. And if I didnt understand anything they were so willing to explain without making me feel stupid or intimidated. As a woman buying a car Ive have horrible salesmen. And thest part was the end of buying my car Cesar was there by the side of my car with a huge red bow on the hood and ared carpet rolled out. Thank you!!But on the other hand 1 star or no stars for the manager. I had previously called to check to see if the mini fridge I had left in the Nissan Rogue rental was still there, he said he would check and call me back...40 minutes later, NO CALL. I had to come into the office on my own account to make sure that my mini fridge was still there... when he could’ve done a courtesy call and checked to see if the rental was still at the location,which it was. Also when I was there, he was no help. Just FYIUpdate:I have rented again from this location and the head manager of this location is great and prompt. Comment: I’m so glad we found Engelbert Guerrero at Budget. We’d had a bad experience at a car dealership about 3 days prior, so we were anticipating another high-pressure, four-hour ordeal with lots of nickel-and-diming and pricing bait-and-switch. We encountered none of that, and what a relief! We had financing already set up through our bank, so there was no push to use in-house financing, nor any pressure to do another unnecessary credit check, which was really important to us. Comment: On Tuesday, November 20, 2018 I purchased a 2017 Toyota Corolla at Budget Car Sales in Norwalk, California - Robert Ramsey and David Gallardo were the employees that served me during my car shopping experience. I was impressed by both Robert and David’s friendliness, patience, earnestness, professionalism, and consideration. Both made me feel comfortable and supported throughout my experience. They also accommodated, went the extra mile, and made sure that I was in the best of hands (as if I was one of their family members) for Dave and Robert insured that I would drive off the lot by installing not only a brand new set of tires but also by providing an oil change. Robert also pointed out a detail (a hairline crack in the windshield) unbeknownst to me and scheduled an appointment for me to get my windshield serviced. After purchasing my car Robert continued to be supportive by responding to additional questions that I had as well as being proactive regarding attempting to retrieve a driver’s handbook, floor mats, and coordinating appointments for windshield and alarm security service installation. In a nutshell not only was I pleased by the reduced price that I paid, compared to other dealerships, but I was entranced by the exceptional professionalism that I received from both Robert and Dave. I really did receive the red carpet treatment with my investment. Since my car purchase I have referred other potential car shoppers to Budget in Norwalk and would personally only want to buy vehicles in the future from Budget. I’d say it’s definitely time to give Dave and Robert an increased raise as well as employee recognition!

I called the location after leaving because i had a question about their extra miles fee on my receipt. Since when renting the car they said they do an exception on extra miles when you travel to las vegas only. He said there must have been some mistake because the person that rented us the car never specified that. And clicked the phone on me. And costumer service couldnt do anything to help since this particular location is a private own contractor.

Comment: I had the best car sales experience of my life here, it was easy, no pressure and positive. I found the car online, it was a cherry 2016 Mustang Eco-sport Premium, called to confirm it was still available and made an appointment to come see it in person. Craig Wick was an awesome salesman, very personable, super chill and knowledgeable; his office was full of music memorabilia and his desk itself looks like a piece of art. He took time to go over what I wanted, he even took the time to show me a music video and talk show clip based on our conversation. Craig let me drive the car on city streets and the highway, taking as long as I needed to feel comfortable. They gave me a fair, no-hassle price for a certified used car (that included the free CARFAX info) and didn’t try to talk me into buying lots of extras; they presented available options and answered all my questions. Craig used to restore Mustangs and let me know that the car color used to be known as Strawberry, now it’s called Ruby Red, but I love the Strawberry better and it was fun to learn about the historic information. Craig’s sales manager David Gallardo took the extra time to find me a better interest rate based on my credit because he felt there had to be a better rate for my excellent history. Then David spent nearly a full hour showing me how my car’s system worked, finished getting me set up (Craig helped get it started) and made sure everything was working correctly. They put a big bow on the car and take your picture with your new purchase, a nice touch! I would absolutely buy from them again and would recommend them without any reservations.

Corey, a fleet salesman, spent hours on a close to 100-degree day showing us cars, answering our questions and helping us test drive them. We zeroed in on a vehicle but werent 100% sure about the choice when David, a manager, offered an overnight rental option to try out the car! That was such a generous and helpful offer which eventually led us to purchasing the car today. Robert, another fleet salesman, and Phil, General Manager, helped us close the deal, and we cant be happier about our new car. To top it off, they do this super cute red carpet ceremony with a gigantic red bow on the car which is a nice touch! We went to a couple big dealers during our car search, but in the end, we wanted to buy the car from the wonderful people at Budget who had shown us so much professionalism, kindness and courtesy these past several days. Comment: Tire was loosing air quickly, so we took it to a tireshop.tireman says this tire is chewed out and thats why its leaking .we call budget rentals and they tell us to bring it in that theyre going to have a look at it .so when we get there he tells us that its over were done with this rental and Wouldnt want to give us a new one.we call the bodyshop where our actual car is being fixed and apparently the same guy that told us the contract is over (Chris Sanchez) tried to have the bodyshop pay for it.i dont understand why wear and tear is the responsibility of the costumer .i am carless now and stressed on what to do!!

They would not honor the reservation price. Never had this issue with my reservations at other rentals through costco. 2. I reserved a van for which they did not have ready. I feel 2 days is enough time to get that ready, the one they did have was too dirty to be rented out. Not so much of a deal break but their apathetic attitude is what really upset me. 3. The entire rental experience was unpleasant with the agent seeming to be rushed. When I came to return it they said that it would be noted on my account that they can try to place accommodations on my next visit. But not sure I will ever come back here after this experience. Not worth the hassle sticking with enterprise where I can.

The car needed some slight repairs (gas cap was broken), and they took care of it. The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that when we came to pick the van up after the repairs, the interior hadnt been fully cleaned. I wasnt told until I arrived to pick it up, so I had to take it back a few days later to get the job done right. They did so and everything turned out great, but it would have been nice to know in advance and to have saved the trip. Would give 4.5 stars if I could.

Comment: After searching for a good car at a reasonable price for over five weeks, I found a 2015 Toyota Corolla in mint condition at this location. I had dealt with quite a few dealers trying to pull a fast one over me at seperate locations so I was leery of going to another dealer at all (debating whether I should go by private owner instead) by the point that I saw this car. After talking to salesman Robert Ortiz over the phone about the car, I could tell right away that he wasnt out to scam me. He knew that the car would sell itself and instead of pressuring me or constantly assuring me that he was going to get me the best deal he kindly answered all the questions I asked him and told me that he could work around my schedule to test drive the car. When I got to the lot, everything was exactly how he had said it would be. This dealership is a very straight forward dealership that is looking to help you with your purchase and after your purchase (they have helped me with the few questions Ive had after the purchase), and kindly welcomed me into their family. Robert Ortiz is a fantastic salesperson who will help anyone who is looking for a car, regardless of their specific needs or questions. He is honest and upright and helped me with all that I needed. Comment: The salesmen were very friendly, I will give them that. But they gave me absolutely no info on how to work my high tech car. We test drove it but there was no tutorial on its specs. For example, they didn’t give me the digital code to unlock the door so I had to Google how to reset it. I was unaware I could lock it by just tapping the top of the handle, and apparently I need an SD card to operate my navigation system, etc. This would have been nice to know before purchasing, but thank God for Google! I also received mismatched keys, one Lincoln and one Ford. I purchased a Lincoln so therefore, I would expect both keys to illustrate as such. When I inquired about it, I was told I could probably find one on eBay… that discouraged me from even mentioning the missing navigation SD card (which I just found out I can purchase a replacement from Lincoln’s website). Why ask the dealer when you can get it from eBay, right? Overall the staff was nice, if this review was solely based on just that, they would have received a better rating. I do love my vehicle, but based on this experience, this is definitely my first and last time purchasing from this type of dealership. I would rather buy directly from the manufacturing dealership. Overall the staff was very friendly, they were just uneducated or failed to inform me about the details of the car I purchased.

Comment: I waited over 2 weeks to write my review so as not to be influenced by immediate knee jerk reaction emotions. Firstly, I called the day before and set up an appointment. The Budget reps also KNEW for CERTAIN that I was coming from 2 hours away. When I got there I was able to test drive the vehicle and I wanted it. Budget already knew I was going to pay cash and DID NOT NEED TO BE FINANCED. Also, I told them they had 1 shot to gain my business and that was it. They were completely inflexible and I left after 20 minutes and drove back to San Diego. Of course before I left they used the obligatory You drove all this way and youre going to let $450 difference keep you from going home with the car you drove here for? That sales style may work on naive individuals but not people with purchasing power and no need to be financed through them. Budget did try calling me a couple of times since then and I believe 4 emails too. In none of the correspondences did they offer any reduction in price or anything else to make me return. My personal advice is this : If you have your financial ducks in a row, AVOID this place at all costs. I GUARANTEE this place will not be there in a couple of years to support you on your purchase.

Needing an immediate replacement for a weekend event I decided the car I chose for test drive was above my price limit, so I chose another car at a competitive car rental agency. Comment: I have had a 2000 Jeep Wrangler since 2005 and when I sold it I had a hard time wanting a new car. I searched all over for what I wanted and I decided on a 2014 Ford Fusion. I saw a black one on autotrader and it was at this location. I called and spoke to Phil who was very helpful. He told me to come down as fast I can because a lot of people were calling about it. When I got there the car was unfortunately being rented out. Robert showed me a silver one and let me test drive it, he was super helpful and not pushy at all. He gave me any options i could get and never tried to force me into anything i didnt want. He spoke with Phil and they were able to get the black one back and put it in hold for me. After a couple hours for the car to arrive they cleaned it and got it ready for me. The price was such a good deal I never thought I would get such a nice (close to brand new) car at only 18k miles on it. Paperwork took a few minutes and I got the keys. The car was a little dirty still for being cleaned but i cant complain. Only thing is there was a broken lighter stuffed in the rear middle arm rest. So far I am waiting to drive a full tank to see the mpg as it feels i am getting less than advertised. Comment: I have been diligently looking for a new car for several months. I finally knew the car I wanted, a pre-owned Hyundai ElantraGT with all of the bells and whistles possible. I went to the dealerships to get the warranty but the prices were higher than I thought they should be and most of the salespeople were high-pressure, ready to start the negotiation game. Then I found Budget Car Sales with the exact car I wanted. It was NOT previously a rental car but a one owner personal lease car. And they had a great selection of clean cars that I would have considered looking at from all the manufacturers. But since they had the car I wanted with a no haggle low price (far less than anyone else) and the car was in perfect condition with the new car warranty. I talked with several people there but it was Robert who really went out of his way to make sure I was happy. And I am! They were about to close when I reached, but the manager Gilmar showed utmost professionalism (made his wife wait while he served me), took care of my rental, and even drove the rented car to my uncles house a few miles away, since I had my uncles car with me. Comment: Very polite personnel. Car was a Nissan Versa that got horrible gas mileage (@ 12 mph), They said they would have it checked out, and I hope they do. They gave me rides from the repair place and back to it.

Comment: I recently traveled to La Mirida for vacation. I had a series of travel woes. Plane was delayed, and I was put on standby. I was able to easily get a car for my trip from the Norwalk Budget Car Rental at a last minutes notice. The manager, Gilmar, was more than helpful. I cannot express how grateful I am for their help.

Comment: They answered all my questions over the phone, and I made a reservation over the phone. I went in to pick up my rental. Gilmar, the rental branch manager, was super helpful and gave us a great deal. Super friendly and helpful staff, and a great location. They have a good selections of cars to rent from. They were able to quickly upgrade us, when we changed our mind. I would rent from them again.

Comment: Knowing our Buick of almost 17 years was going to go, I had spent some time searching for the Nissan Sentra I wanted focusing on 3 primary sources that I trusted. After a couple of months our car died so I had found the perfect car for us here at Budget, which was recommended to me by a friend months ago when I started my search. The salesman Ed and the manager Phil made this the easiest purchase of any car I had ever had in my 61 trips around the sun. Very competitive pricing, easy to deal with and the couple of minor flaws that are on the car will be fixed by them to make this the perfect car for myself and my wife. You cant do better then these guys.
