Comment: Great experience! Shadi was super nice and really efficient at getting us our truck. I called a few times leading up to the move to make sure I had all the details and knew the truck was there and he was always very kind and helpful.

Comment: Shadi SAVED my relocation plans and ensured a truck for me…absolutely came through with 6 star service!!!! My reservation for a truck with a competitor fell through only a few weeks before my relocation out of state, and Shadi gave me his word he would do his best to have the truck I needed. Forget going ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Call Shadi! He’s a customer service professional and should be given a raise!!! Thank you sir for taking much of the stress out of this interstate move. I’m sooo grateful 🙏🏽

Comment: I hope you dont rent here. Horrible service. I book with them, and they didn’t have the courtesy to call me and cancel my reservation. I found out I did not had a truck a day before when I called to see what time i could pick up the truck. The man on the phone was extremely rude and hang up the phone.

Comment: I booked my reservation online and scheduled my return on Sunday. Nowhere during my booking was it mentioned that this location would be closed on Sunday. Thats fine. I left the truck and dropped the key off in the drop box.Turns out, this location decided to charge me an extra day because they were closed and couldnt process my return until the next day. The charge for the extra day almost doubled my original charge for a 3 day rental.They never sent me a receipt of the extra charge or anything. I found out by reviewing my credit card statement.Super shady and all around terrible business ethics!

Comment: I had a situation where my reservation went through online and we got to the location to find out that it was closed. We called customer service to help us find a new truck pick-up location which lead us to this location in Oakland. We get there and Hamda was really great! She helped us through everything and the process was very smooth and efficient. She was also just a really pleasant person, which I really appreciated.

Comment: When the corporate website gave me inaccurate information about the availability of a 26 foot long truck, the owner here was extremely helpful in assisting me in dealing with corporate and in making sure I was taken care of. I can tell he cares about the customers and not just his bottom line.

Comment: Returned car here after driving 2400 miles. There was some confusion about the fuel level and the truck number, but it was worked out quickly and professionally with the pickup location the next day with no issues. Good and honest customer service.

Comment: I really hate renting trucks from any of the common providers because the Terms & Conditions state they can change the truck, date and/or time based on “availability”. That was the case here, EXCEPT that the operator reached out ahead of time and let me know this would likely happen. This meant we could mitigate a solution which included compensation for my troubles. My suggestion for rentals from ANY provider: read the T&C’s, stay in touch, know your options & ask about likelihood of change based upon the date and time of your rental.

Comment: Staff was rushed and unprofessional. He wheeled out 75 lbs. of furniture pads and told me to take it to the truck and lift it in there myself. He also didnt come out to inspect the vehicle with me and just said it was good to go. On top of that, I didnt even use the furniture pads and they charged me anyway for them.Next, he parked the trucks too closely together which caused me to break the driver side mirror of the truck next to mine when I pulled out of the parking spot, and then lied to the investigator that the trucks werent too close together. Budget is now charging me $245 for liability purposes because I was in the driver seat. I literally put the truck in drive, let my foot off the gas, and then the mirrors collided - not even three feet from where I started the truck... They do not care about their customers voices and definitely do not follow up seriously when a dispute is made. One of the National Risk Managers I spoke to at Budget said, ..if we go to court we will win, but its not worth going to court over. Basically saying that Budget has no liability over their employees decisions and actions because I signed paperwork.Overall, I am never renting form Budget again for taking advantage of their customers, being deceitful, and unprofessional. Truly upsetting. I hope Budget re-evaluates their operational procedures and their customer service, from top to bottom, so this doesnt happen again.

Comment: When I get there they tell me that the truck I reserved is not there so I end up getting another size at no charge, okay.... Keep in mind it was horrible weather conditions this day, we drove over 200 miles in over 5 1/2 hrs w/traffic & when your renting you expect a better functioning vehicle then most peoples personals vehicle. The truck was NOT in good condition which also slow our timing, it was raining like crazy & the windshield wipers were bad, the cargo (where us ppl sit) was nasty, dirty as hell, pet hair everywhere, it smelled & looked as if it hadn’t been wiped down in weeks, I had to wash the clothes I wore in the truck. When I return it I made sure I cleaned behind myself, fulled the gas & returned it on time. I didn’t notice it but apparently the gas went down a little by the time I returned it. After no prior notice of not having my correct reservation & having to deal w/that horrible truck w/bad steering this fool says after checking the truck. “ It’s like 3 gallons low, I’m gonna have to charge you” I just put $85 in that gas tank he could have let that go after all I had to deal w/that nasty as truck ALONE but it’s very CLEAR how budget treats their customers. If it’s not a last resort I will NOT be renting from this location, FUTURE CUSTOMERS/RENTERS BEWARE

Comment: I originally booked a truck at their Berkeley location but was told the day before that I had to drive to Oakland, near the airport to get a truck. After that major inconvenience I picked up a truck that was dirty inside and out. That wouldnt bother me except for the large signs that threatened to charge me if I returned it dirty. The truck did get us and all of our possessions to our new home

Comment: No not even waste your time!!! Management is more useless then the staff who seems to think that someone calling after my reservation was made got my truck. My online reservation was not found...my truck was given away after I called and made a reservation...then I was refused service when I was trying to figure out what the cost of insurance was for the truck (figuring out if it was easier to call my insurance and get the info they needed...or should I get theirs and keep it moving). I have NEVER been refused services before! The Management had an attitude with me. When I asked him not to have to attitude with me he let me know to go somewhere else. And I did. To uhaul who offered me the same size truck for $10 less. Thanks for refusing me service!! I actually came up because of it. DO NOT USE BUDGET!!!!

Comment: Reserved a truck online and got a call 15 minutes before the pick-up time that there are no trucks available for me! All they told me was that it was a computer error and when I insisted that I really needed a truck that day because it is my move out day, they told me Im going around circles. Absolutely unacceptable.Budget would charge me $50 if I cancel later than 48 hours before pick up time, but they cancel on me 15 minutes before pick up time without any acceptable reason.

It being the last weekend of the month and having another rental company screw up our reservation, Shadi understood our frustration he did not turn us away, he didnt have anything at the moment, but offered to see what he could to help. That is great customer service! This guy deserves a raise!

Comment: I drove an hour in traffic because it was the only place that had the truck I wanted in stock. I arrived only to find out that it was not actually in stock. The employee with the little goatee was a jerk. Had no intent on working with me, providing me a phone number to resolve the conflict.This is the second time this has happened to me with Budget. The first time, I was moving from Boston to California. I had the truck booked for a month. I showed up and the truck was not in stock.This company needs to teach their employees some manors...

They confirmed my order 2 weeks prior, then send a email the day before I was to start my move stating that I had to drop the truck off at the same location of pickup which is 105+ miles additional! Then I received a email the day of my move stating they cancelled my order!!! The rudest individuals I have ever dealt with! I would never refer Budget to anyone!!!
