Comment: I reserved a 12ft truck 3/31 online for pickup 4/1. I was dropped off and patiently waited for 15 minutes as the guy working helped someone else. Finally my turn. I was told no 12ft truck, only a van. I accepted. I booked the truck using their promo code at rate of 15.99. Budget has the best price on miles and I only needed it for about 20. New house 2 miles from old, but budget is about 8 miles away. Im then told that I declined the insurance and I HAVE to have it at the rate of 68.99 or something, making new total over $100! Mind you I just rented a Budget truck the month prior and paid $78 for a one way including 2 day rental and unlimited mileage! This place is a joke. I was picked up and rented elsewhere.

Comment: Truck air conditioning didn’t work. Cab wasn’t clean. But the guys running the office were friendly, professional.and efficient. Because of the professionalism of the office staff I give 3 stars as opposed to 1.

Comment: BEWARE!!! I rarely write reviews but Im MAD! I reserved a moving truck to load and simply sit in front of my house so we could take pictures to list our house for sale. When reserving online I did not select to insure the truck. When I arrived he stated there was an $80 insurance fee that was mandatory. I explained what we were doing but he said it was there policy. We did not rent the truck. A couple days later they charge me a no show fee on my cc. This is complete BS!! What a hassle now to deal with my cc company!

Comment: Negative 10 stars. The guy at the front desk claiming his name to be Dudley who also claimed to be first the manager then the owner was discriminating, aggressive and hostile to us women who had made a reservation. When I first walked in with my reservation I had online, he was condescending and disrespectful as I made friendly conversation as I always do. When my sister came in he said, even though she made great window decor to look at, she had to leave. He then tried to say that I had to pay $70 extra fee which Ive never had to pay before. I have been a loyal continued customer with Budget Truck Rental for past 2 years where I have rented over 5 trucks. He then said told me that I was not going to be getting a truck today and we replied with, how is that possible when we are a paying customer? He then called 911 claiming we were refusing to leave his office. We are the nicest people ever. He then called some dude to come over there and he had someone else waiting in a car that was parked in front watching everything. A big dude also showed up that he was clearly using to intimidate or threaten us. We felt very unsafe and threatened so we left immediately. This Budget worker clearly has no respect for women and had some kind of problem with us from the moment we walked in with his disrespectful comments and attitude towards us. We are still shocked as I have never experienced this kind of treatment or refused service in my life. Unbelievable and sad how people can be.

Comment: One of the worst experiences I’ve had from a rental truck company. Initially, I was quoted $218 for a rental from CA to NV. When I arrived, the man who helped me informed me I had to get insurance and it was mandatory on the truck and my own insurance wouldn’t cover it because it’s “business, not commercial.” I informed him I was fine without having the insurance and would pass. He insisted the insurance was mandatory and that I wouldn’t be able to pick up my truck without it. How was I going to get a new truck when I was scheduled to move THAT day? I again told him I didn’t want insurance and I was fine without it. He told me that he had no choice but to put insurance on the truck if he was going to release it. (Mind you, there’s two other people witnessing this conversation). So it was an additional $200 charged to my card for this insurance I didn’t want anyone, but was told it was mandatory! When I got in the truck, it was a mess. Trash, empty cigarette cartons, oil stench all throughout the cab.If you’re gonna do a job, at least do it HONESTLY and not lie to people about what is REQUIRED.
