Comment: We did the beach bike tour with John as the tour guide. John made the experience great from helping making sure everyone was comfortable on the bikes (first time for everyone on e-bikes) to customizing the tour for what we wanted to see. Along the way he has some great information about Santa Barbara and the surrounding area. Dont just rent the bikes - take the tour! It is well worth the extra cost.

Comment: Fantastic bike rental shop - really excellent bikes (I had a Specialized Roubaix with electronic Di2 shifting and disc brakes) - and much more reasonable prices than any other shop I checked. All the staff are very friendly and helpful too.Their bikes are kept in excellent condition and carefully maintened and adjusted.Santa Barbara is a wonderful place to ride, with serious climbs like Gibraltar and Old San Marcos, and rolling terrain along the beach to Carpinteria and through Hope Ranch.Definitely will use Cal Coast Adventures again next time Im in Santa Barbara!

Comment: Taking Island Packers boat out to the channel islands was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the local wildlife and plants. The hike to Pelican Bay was short, sweet, moderately difficult and full of great views and ends with a walk down to some tide pools.

Comment: The service of this bike rental agency was excellent. I’ve done two cycling trips up to the Gibraltar with the Roubaix Sport. The bike was in perfect condition. Water bottles, extra tires, necessary tools and even CO2 inflators were provided. That brought me a lot of reassurances, cuz no one can predict whether a flat tire will happen along the trip. Definitely will recommend to my friends.

It was really fun to get up close to the seals and pelicans, and kayak in and around the harbor. John took pictures for us and shared many cool and interesting historical facts about Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands! Comment: Just finished a ride with Sergio. I’m a class B rider. I wanted something challenging but not over the top. He was very sensitive to my abilities. Not too fast nor too slow. I was the only rider. I could not had been more pleased. He pulled me up some steep climbs and was a good rah rah coach. Spectacular scenes and roads that only a local rider would know. I think we road about 25 miles with 1500’ of climbing. He pointed out all the movie star houses. Now ready for my beer. Ask for Sergio if you want a decent ride while in town. I tipped him 100$ cause he was worth it.

Comment: Oh my goodness, this private bike tour was the absolute highlight of our weekend anniversary trip to Santa Barbara! The views were spectacular, and our guide, Amanda, was awesome. We were a little nervous as it was our first time riding bikes in a long time, but the ebikes were super easy to use, and powerful enough that I dont think I ever broke a sweat. We must have done somewhere around 8-10 miles (?) and it was a breeze. Amanda was super informative and very friendly, and even kept her cool when we were accosted by a random passerby on a bike for absolutely no reason. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Comment: My family of 4 went on a kayaking tour during our vacation in Santa Barbara. Our guide was Amanda. She was so sweet and knowledgeable of the area, the sea life and even gave us a restaurant recommendation that served us the best food we had during our stay! We did the Gaviota tour and chose to do it on a Monday at 11am and not on the weekend. The water was serene and we had so much fun! The kids were entertained and learned some interesting facts and we were fascinated by all the cool info Amanda shared with us. She was so easy going and went at our pace so we didn’t feel rushed. We will definitely do this tour again when we come back to town! Cal Coast Adventures were so easy to work with. We would only book through them for all rentals and tours in the area.

I would recommend biking along a path that is next to the beach. You have to be 5 feet tall to drive an e-bike but they have e-bikes that have a back seat for anyone who cannot drive an e-bike.

She put us completely at ease by giving us great instructions and encouragement throughout the lesson. We were riding waves within minutes - thanks to Allies assistance! Colin was our guide, he took the time to explain how to operate the electrical bike to my wife and didnt leave until she was happy and confident with the controls. We headed down a few roads and on to the beach, well that was fantastic. Zipping along the beach with the wind in our hair. After a long ride on the beach we went on to the road for a tour of down town, state Street, funk zone and around the court buildings before returning to their base. We loved it and would recommend it to any one. Def do this with these guys while you are in Santa Barbara.

Comment: We did the private tour with Sergio. It was fantastic! It was great having a guide. It prevented us from roaming aimlessly around the city and we hit every highlight. We rented ebikes. I had never been in one before and it was easy to use, had the right amount of power, allowed me to get exercise, and made it more fun. So glad we did this as our first activity because it helped us plan out the rest of our weekend. Thank you Sergio.

Comment: Cal coast adventures couldn’t have been a better pick for our adventurous group while on a work retreat. A group of us went out for an amazing ride with beautiful views and lots of fun!! The bicycles are top of the line, smooth and in great condition. Connor, Brody and Davis couldn’t have been nicer. They were encouraging, patient and kind. The level of customer service from start to finish was incredible. As a planner that is something I appreciate along with great communication and these guys nailed it. I loved the ride and can’t wait to come back and do it again & explore other trails. You won’t be disappointed.

Comment: Awesome time kayaking! My husband and I did a double kayak and went out to the large buoy to see the sea lions! It was beautiful ! We did the hour tandem and it was perfect. Comment: Fantastic tour! It was our first time kayaking so I was a little nervous but our guide put us at ease. Being able to learn some basics before getting into the water and then practicing those before going out into the open ocean was very valuable. The tour of the harbor was nice and it was really cool to be able to see some sea life up close as we went out into the ocean. Siena rocked and made this experience even more fun by teaching us some history of Santa Barbara and about the sea life. Definitely a highlight of our first trip to Santa Barbara!!!

Comment: We had an amazing time on the bike tour. Our guide (Austin) made the trip not only fun but very informative. I have been to Santa Barbara a few times, but have never experienced the city from this view. We were able to see amazing beaches, trails I have never experienced before and fun, funky areas, we will visit later on our trip. I would definitely recommend the tour and even take it again myself. Comment: Amazing day in Santa Barbara. Electric bikes through town and the beach with Elias and Austin. The trip was exciting, informative and adventurous. We had never ridden a bike on sand before. The bikes had huge tires and Elias and Austin helped us get comfortable and feel safe. Although challenging, we loved it. I can’t recommend this company more. It was the highlight of our trip.

Comment: We had a great time on our electric bikes post-Covid shutdown - The electric bikes themselves are top-of-the-line, intuitive and fun - and the folks at Cal Coast were friendly, knowledgeable and quick on their feet in getting us situated with clean and attractive bikes! We were on the road in no time and had more than enough battery for a full afternoon of Turbo-assisted fun - our bikes had over 30miles worth of biking without breaking a sweat or worrying about range. Our trusty guide Elias was funny and full of good stories about the sights, scenes and landmarks of Santa Barbara. Great stops along the way included Butterfly Beach, Montecito, the Farmers market, State Street, City College Overlook, and the Mission - loved the coffee at Handlebar Coffee! He took us on some great singletrack with lots of berms and jumps, toured us around his favourite restaurants and gave us plenty of wonderful views. Comment: Stand Up Paddle Board session from the beach near the pier in Santa Barbara for our family of four (mum and dad had never done SUP before) and 14&12 year old children (who had done it on a river once or twice).Emily was the most brilliant and friendly and calming and encouraging tutor. It was great to just have the four of us with her, rather than a big group - I am just not sure I would have even tried to stand up if I was doing it solo or in a bigger group!Extra bonus was all the great photos Emily took on her phone and air dropped them to me when we got back to the beach, including some of the seal my son got very close to in the Harbor! She also said at the beginning her challenge was to get a pic of all four of us up at the same time, and she got it!!Highly recommend this company and especially Emily to anyone that is considering getting out on the water at Santa Barbara! We had so much fun, a real highlight of our 18night 8stop Californian Adventure travelling from the UK.

Comment: My 13-year-old daughter and I went on the electric bike tour with Sergio leading us. What an amazing experience! He was so informative and sweet. My daughter and I were quite nervous that she wouldnt be able to figure out the bike, but Sergio had her ride it around on the street to warm her up. The tour was two and a half hours and we saw so much of Santa Barbara. I highly recommend this company and its a perfect way to see the city.Thank you Sergio! The pad thai noodles were delicious!

Comment: Great fast, friendly and knowledgeable service. I rented for the day and was off in no time to ride some of the most amazing trails in the mountains above Santa Barbara. The location is not in the prettiest area of SB but it’s safe and worth the short walk or drive from beach along Cabrillo drive. They have every kind of bike for whatever your type of ride might be.
