Comment: The staff is friendly and helpful, but, this place is NOT a resort. It is 99% full timers with terribly cluttered, junk laying around peoples sites, probably 10% of the campers have tarps strapped over the tops. Absolutely ZERO cell service (you have to drive about 5 miles down the road, and the wifi is so plugged the only communication available is text messaging. Again, great staff but use this place as a last resort ONLY..No pun intended...

Comment: Avoid this place. We paid USD65 upfront for a riverside spot, because it might be busy due to Thanksgiving. These sites were gone when we arrived. The only site left was one with a couple of inches left and right of our RV. No room for opening doors and/or our slide out. We decided to leave. The manager understood this, but to get out money back we would need to contact the owner, who was not there of course. After trying to contact him several times without reply, it became clear we would never get our money back.If you do decide to stay, be aware that it is absolutely filthy everywhere you look. In the office was a mouldy plate of pasta leftover on the desk. Thrash and rubbish everywhere you look. These guys are not on tripadvisor, and now I understand why..Fortunately we found a place next door at River End.

Comment: The pond is really nice with ducks and geese. The people are nice both long term and short term. The Managers are very customer oriented and make sure everyone is is in compliance. In all the years that Ive been there visiting on and off... I must say that this is the best Ive seen. It is relaxing and the property is really coming along nicely. Thumbs up.

Comment: The worst experience we had was in this Cali Lake, after traveling for more than 8 hours all very tired 5 people and 2 dogs inside a motorhome, we arrived at this place with ZERO STRUCTURE, they put us in a terrible spot at the end of the extremely dirty campsite and poorly maintained with old trailers it looked more like a mechanic shop, the power didnt work there was no one available to solve the problem, we asked for our money back as we would look elsewhere. The employee who was there said that we needed to call the owner Stewart to request a refund of 240.00 so we did according to them everything was right and the refund would have been made, we left there and got another wonderful camping by the way, great structure. It has been 5 days and so far the refund has not been carried out. So we called and asked them to return our money because we had not even stayed for 30 minutes at the campsite Mr. Stewart said that the refund would be made on the 28th but so far our money has not been refunded . Be careful not to get tangled up like this.how we are being.

Pauli, George & Michelle have raised the bar for how customers should be treated so high that I will never be satisfied with less then they deliver. So helpful, kind & friendly, not to mention knowledgeable & professional. The owner is really giving it his all to make this place shine & it shows! If youre looking for a warm, friendly place to stay thats in a gorgeous setting Cali Lake is your only choice.

This one time I had ran out of gas and I couldnt go to the store so the owner heard and asked one of the managers to go and get the groceries for me and my kids . Comment: I Stayed here for a couple months. Lock up your stuff, to say there is a theft problem is an understatement! Hard to get law enforcement out there. Management and I use that term loosely are unorganized, unprofessional, and very judgemental. They dont care about crime, they are too busy harassing the resedents who pay rent. Even vending machines are on the take. Free Wifi is worthless, if u want any communication with outside world you have to get your own, or drive 2 miles to make phone call. Septic is always having issues, so always stinks. No water presure, if there is even water that day. Park is full of methe-heads and theifs, most of which dont pay 2 stay there. Non-paying resedents constantly mess with water lines and shore power lines so they can plug in. This place is a hot mess! Not LBGT friendly.

Comment: This site is in a canyon with one road in and out. Its not a bad road, but we were there during a very rainy period. Most areas are not paved in the park, but gravel and dirt. Most sites pretty level, but very tight spaces and a little rustic. People there are very nice, so thats a plus. But, even though wifi is there, it usually doesnt work and cell signals are spotty.

Comment: Dont believe the positive reviews you see here. This place is full of long term residents who live in their trailers because they cant afford anything else. Thats who wrote the reviews. The place looks like a homeless camp, because thats basically what it is. The facilities are decrepit, and there isnt even a lake anymore. Its all dried up. The place is dirty and crowded, the managers are disorganized, and the Wi-Fi doesnt even work. Just stay away.Id like to add that the owner did not refund the money he owes me. Also, he did not bother to deny or refute anything I said above, because he knows its all true. There are lots of articles (at laist.com, for example, find it on Google) about the homeless people. No, I dont like writing negative reviews, but people deserve to know the truth. I dont want other people to be deceived by false advertising, like I was.

Comment: I use to camp here when I was a kid.It was actually called White Rock. So peaceful in the canyon. I took the kids to go swimming in a pool they have. Before the summer ends where going back thats how much fun the little ones had. There are two bbq pits by the pool and some picnic tables. The lake is getting low due to the drought. If you like to be outside and injoy the Great outdoors I would recommend going here to enjoy your time. There are plenty of places to pitch a tent or RV. The RV Park is in a canyon cell phone signal is limited and off course Wifi signal can be slow at times if youre used to fancy amenities then this is not the place to go.

Comment: The only reason they get three is because the staff was friendly and tried to help. Sardines wow you all know what I mean! The whole time we where there power never stopped surging! I would love to see the owner clean things up a little more ground wise. The little restaurant on the grounds would be really cool to visit for coffee and breakfast, just have it for the mornings to meet other guests an conversation! Hope to hear it has improved in the future! Good luck, no phone service. Great place if you want to hide!

Comment: I really wanted to give it 5 stars but I cant. The pros are the showers work and they have hot and cold water. The pool is nice. I saw people cleaning it daily. The people are friendly and the river has mallard ducks as well as American coots, spotted woodpeckers, cranes,and bats. This is a RV rental and campsite. The location where we tented was perfect. Lots of space and social distantsing.The cons are they need to upgrade this place. They say they have wifi but it wasnt working and we were there from Friday until sunday. Plant some trees, fix the restrooms and showers. The womens restroom has bat poop. Not good. The toilets were stained and old and I was worried it might break. The rec room was rented out so we couldnt use it. The restaurant was open but I didnt know because you have to press a buzzer and someone comes out to take your order. The showers had open holes where the overflow strainer should be. This place has potential. Ill come back for sure just to relax with the ducks.

They have quite a few things for the younger RVers, also are very pet friendly ! Comment: This is not a resort by definition. The wifi is slow. We had to share the sewer with the rv next to us. Meaning removing their line and putting a splitter on. Decided not to. Just two of us for two nights. Went to brush teeth about midnight on Friday night and no water pressure, then no water at all. This happened too often so we finally filled fresh tank and switched to pump. Manager stated he thought the issue had been fixed. Told us they are on well so when others use water, no pressure. He did not offer to reduce the $75 per night fee. Will not stay again and would not recommend.

You won’t even be able to call the police if something happens which I tried to do the night of all the fighting so yeah don’t go here at all. there’s baby rattlesnakes that George kills with a machete as wellAnd he works as a staff member therePauline is the manager and he acts like a female when handling things because he will just tell“This never happens around here”

Our first night there we heard honking from 9:00 pm to 10 pm until we went to see what was going on and there was a altercation at the front of the park with drunk people on EASTER . They did not call the cops and then coming back to our lot we heard a couple in their camper screaming and fighting throwing stuff and the mangers were laughing and my neighbor told me it was just the beginning . Very hard to get into your spot as well because they put a camper anywhere they can . Very trashy people .

Comment: Do not give this park your business. Had to cancel a long stay ahead of time and was blown off regarding a refund, all the money was kept and not a single night was spent on their property. Phone calls and emails were eventually ignored, even though they initially acknowledged a refund was in order. Also, if youre familiar with Google reviews, its extremely obvious they are filling theirs on here with 4 and 5 star ratings using fake accounts. Repetitively using the phrases fair pricing and good people, under accounts that all have 1-2 reviews. Really sad and honestly manipulative, NOT an RV Park to give your money to.

Comment: First, like the lady in another review said, if I could give this place a 0 I would. Let me say that this is only in my opinion, not fact, based on my experienced at Cali Lake RV Resort. I was looking for a place to relax and do some fishing and hiking and I choose Cali Lake RV Resort because as advertised, it looked charming. And the word Resort should not be allowed to be used in describing this place. When I arrived at the place, I was told there were no fish in the lake (more like a pond). When I plugged in for electricity, there was none. It took about four hours to get power to my site. Then there was no wi-fi available. I had to drive about 2 miles to make a phone call to text. In my opinion, you would be better off just dry camping in the desert rather bother with this place. There are old, in-op cars everywhere and the lake front site are a joke; just parked in front of a small pond and pay extra. But, I must give credit to the Manager George who did all he could to help but the place has too many issues for him to be effective.

Comment: I would seriously give them a 0 if I could. No masks and dirty all around. I’ve kept that to myself because both Paulie and Stuart/Stewart the manager offered to refund our monthly stay. That was over 3 weeks ago. My dad has lymphoma and we were looking for somewhere clean, serene and peaceful and this is not the place. I contacted them and it was agreed that they would refund our stay... nothing. No response to my emails anymore, just nothing.Absolutely unacceptable.

I will never live in the city again.I live here with my lifetime love, who I met here at the park. We were neighbors for about a year and now we have the best space in the park, with 2 horses, and we couldnt be happier!The managers are absolutely awesome, and help us whenever needed, day or night. The owner of the park, Stewart has always put the guests needs at the top of his priority list and has allowed us all we have, which is everything weve wanted to live our dream life!The lake is always full, and there are ducks, geese, and all kinds of beautiful creatures to sit and watch in a tranquil setting on the lakes bank.The pool is clean, warm, and big enough to accommodate many.A huge fire pit sits in the middle of the green grass area along with bbqs and a kids swing set, a trampoline, and soccer nets to entertain your kids all day! Not to mention a stage, where we had Karaoke for the best birthday party Ive ever had! All of the guests came out and we had such a blast!There are also some of the best hiking trails in the canyon. You can ride your bikes, horses, or hike on foot among some breathtaking scenery that will make you forget all of your city life stress.Believe me, once you are here, you wont want to leave! Comment: I have just spent the weekend at Cali Lake Rv Park and i got to say it was not what i expected. The spot i was placed in hookups was already being used by another camper and wasnt able to hook up the first night. Then i was told that it would be resolved in the morning. At 12 noon i had to find George to resolve the water and sewer hook up issues only to find that the parts to make it happen was already on site. Water pressure issues plague the RV park about 6 hours later. I do belive that a partial refund would be fair for the first night with power only and the second night with no water.This was an email sent to management. Still no response. Dont come here if you think its like a resort like setting. 98% of the people live here year round. 10 spots are by the lake and is rented out even if they are not sure if a spot is open. BEWARE!!!

Comment: Very nice spot to spend a night or a week. The lake while small is perfect for kids. They has a kyak for guests to use, a humble park for the kids to play at with a trampoline and an above ground pool. A koi pond as well full of fish. They have a restaurant in site, smelled great but we did our own grilling at the camper. There are grills for community use if you dont have a propane grill of your own and a huge fire pit, with wood provided, that is also community use, as fires are not permitted at camp sites.Swim in the lake or the pool! The creek is also only about 50 feet from the campsites for some great exploration. And....it just keeps going.......the place is very per friendly, there are 2 dog parks here you can leave your dog to play awhile while your on an adventure.

Comment: We stayed at this park for almost a year while I worked full time as a Lineman in LA. We were ecstatic to find somewhere that we could stay long term without moving several times. On site Managers were always helpful and nice. We ended up leaving in February to relocate to another RV park that was closer to work. You are required to pay first and last months rent upon arrival at Cali Lake, which we did. We also had auto pay set up so our card was automatically charged each month.When we left on the 15th we were told by management we would be refunded the $825 deposit for last months rent PLUS a prorated amount for the remainder of the month which we had already paid, equaling almost $500. It took a month of run arounds between the owner and managers to finally get our deposit back and have yet to receive the prorated amount we are owed. We continue to get the run around or ignored by the owner, Stewart. The park has so much potential to be a really nice place, its a shame it is ran so poorly.

Comment: Got me out of 212.00$ of my deposit said they would mail the rest because they didnt have enough in petty cash to cash the deposit out.....So I left an address which they never sent any form of money for my deposit to.So I then took the time out of my extremely busy day to drive up there too there resort and see about the where abouts of my 212.00 deposit they had not returned. They tell me that they looked over the book and they dont owe me nothing. I am by no means hurting for money and have no reason too lie. They handed me a phone and said here is the owner he said he would take care of it and he was out of town at the moment. He stated that he would call me back Tuesday sep. 17th which was four days from then.Long story short I left and its now Thursday and I havent heard a thing. Terrible service nasty place. I met a few cool people that were not on drugs but for the most part its a dump.

Comment: Im the manager at Cali-Lake RV Resort, Id like to say thank you to the people that have taken the time to show their appreciation for the blood sweat and tears of the people that have helped this park grow into a community that is unlike any other, a community of that is founded upon good ethics and morals and kindness towards the guy or girl next to you, a community where people care about each other and take the time to help each other, Ive not known the names of my every neighbor since moving to Los Angeles more than thirty years ago....now I know every single person in this park and they know myself and Serena, and our owner Stewart the reason I put 5 stars is because although we are still figuring out our lot, and the maintenance that it takes to have internet, a fully functioning lake, cell service and the other pit-falls that come with trying to run an Idyllic park that is in the middle of a canyon with no fiber optics available, and although having been tied at the stake by the high regulatory fashions of trying to help the wildlife by keeping a beautiful non-polluted lake (which we named the business after) the FACTS of the matter are that we have tried to maintain a gorgeous lake, but wildfires in previous years before our time clogged the resources of clean water with thousands if not millions of lbs. of wood ash, and we were admonished not to do a thing about it until further administrative actions could be decided upon and while we waited our lake ran dry, and we broke the rules and saved the lives of nearly fifteen thousand fish that were swimming in a mud puddle, not due to our own negligence but due to the fear of being closed down by the authorities that had the power to do such a thing, we renovated a once forgotten fish pond and put the fish from the lake in the small pond (originally designed to be a koi fish pond adjacent to the restaurant) and then after we were finally allowed to excavate some of the ash that clogged the lakes resources we were told by the authorities we were not allowed to put the fish back in the water from whence they came, which in turn has ruined the beauty of our pond, and effected the eco-system of of our lake, and also we have not been given the go ahead to excavate the rest of the wood ash that clogs the lakes life source but we havent lost one fish due to OUR negligence, only to the stomaches of some hungry terns, egrets, Canadian geese and a few local racoons.... cell service is an issue if you dont have Sprint or one the few cell providers that have towers in the area and that I have to say is not a reason to hold us accountable, it is unfortunate that a small fraction of cell phones do not get reception in a canyon that is surrounded by beautiful mountainous terrain that can be agree-ably described as Gods country, but I know for fact that God existed before cell phones and if you want to stay in his country youd better be prepared to ask the managers if you can use their landlines for emergencies and/or change your cell carrier, because to hold us responsible for not having cell service is just not something we can do a thing about....yet we still apologize. Other then that, people who throw stones shouldnt live in glass houses...this is a safe, fun, and friendly place to come and it has its share of problems that I personally promise we are addressing as quickly as the rules let us...but hard working honest people are here doing the best they can to accommodate you and your family in making great memories...One manager was lost recently due to a motorcycle accident and not once but twice we had a service for him where nearly two hundred people gathered around and told stories of how great he was, thats what we are here at Cali-Lake Rv Resort...a community of people that if one of us is lost we celebrate that life not once but twice! Everyone was nice and friendly and it was quiet at night. Restrooms and showers were clean and the hot water was hot. Excellent experience! The family and I will return!

Comment: Stayed here for a month recently and not too impressed. Wifi was poor and most of the time very difficult to make a cell call or send a text. No real laundry apart from a couple machines and many trailers long past their cell by date. The prices charged were more than advertized on their website.Staff were great especially Pauly who always went out if his way to help me no matter what the time. Whatever you get paid Pauly, it isnt anywhere near enough. Working 24/7 it seems.

The management here is friendly and makes an effort to remember who you are and help you if you ever need it! Very friendly and helpful! Great area to stay in! Comment: The managers on sight are amazing people who have veen very fair and good to me .Ive stayed there off and on since they end of Feb 2018 over 6 months ago and with the new staff renovating I keep coming back because its a great get away for the family to go hiking barbeque, they have a pool that is a wonderful refreshment while its hot. Its an enjoyable place to be. Ive read some pretty outlandish reviews on Yelp that were completely untrue so do not allow those negative toxic words scare you away from going and staying. You will love it and feel comfortable.

Comment: I don’t normally do many reviews but I’m staying at this park right now and evidently this ex employee is leaving a bunch of fake one star reviews and I felt I could set the record straight! Yes the park is under construction right now, but it hasn’t bothered me in the least, and I can see they are very hard at work to make this place very nice. I too checked out the other RV parks in the area and my conclusion was to stay here because this seemed to be the nicest place in the area. It’s a woodsy park with beautiful trees and a wonderful nature feel. I needed to get out of the city, and this is doing the trick! Yes some of the RV’s are a little old, but there are also nice diesel pushers here too and the people are perhaps the best part of this place. I have yet to meet anyone here who hasn’t gone out of their way to be friendly and polite. Everyone waves every time I drive in and out, and overall it’s just a very refreshing feel coming from the city where nobody will give you even a smile... over all the place is relaxing, quiet and peaceful. At night I sit out next to my RV and listen to the frogs at the lake and enjoy the cool breeze that seems to never fade... if it wasn’t for my Office being over 30 minutes away and having to commute I would gladly stay here longer and I’m actually seriously considering it. The biggest thing that stood out about this place to me is the people. Nicest people I’ve ever seen! I’ll be sad when it’s time to go home and go back to the rat race!

Comment: This place should be renamed Cali Lakes Rv Park of Last Resort. This is not an RV park for vacationers but a squatters camp. Very trashy obviously long term parking for the RV looking for its final resting ground. Broken down equipment everywhere, household trash laying all about, very dirty unlevel parking spots. We made reservations a month before our trip from NM; the staff was completely surprised to see us and evidently were unaware we were coming. We were assured we got the best spot on the place- right between the dumpsters and the water tanks. We needed a 50 ft hose to hook up water, septic was an exposed pipe with no way to secure your hose, no working wi/ fi and no cell service. The lake? A small pond surrounded by junk. I could go on, but you get the picture. We left a day early.
