Comment: Was quoted for a new bumper for a minor indent in the corner of the rear bumper. I asked to have it popped out, as it seemed to be a simple task, they informed me that could not be done and that I need to buy a whole new bumper. Upon pick up, I noticed the bumper was not new and had to ask them why that was, as they did not tell me up front and did not intend on telling me. They ended up easily popping it out, but charged me the same because they said the labor to pop it out was the exact same as the amount to purcahse a whole new bumper. Seemed very unlikley that was the case and felt like I got conned.

Comment: I received excellent service from Caliber Collision! Specifically, worked with the location at Willow and Redondo in Long Beach, CA. Elena, who worked the front desk, including the intake of customers, did an excellent job! Very friendly, courteous, and helpful! She anticipated everything ahead of time, including coordinating with the insurance company, calling the rental car company to arrange a ride for me to their location nearby, etc. without being asked. Mark Martinez was the tech rep I worked with. He communicated everything VERY well, answered all my questions, and made sure I knew exactly everything that was being done with my car. The work performed was excellent, and backed with their lifetime guarantee. My car was actually ready a little sooner than expected, which was great! The car was freshly washed and thoroughly cleaned, inside and out! Very nice! Would definitely give this crew here all of my auto body work I might need done in the future. Would not hesitate at all to recommend these guys to anyone looking for good, responsible, clean, and professional auto body work! Thanks, guys!

Our car was in their shop for a little over a week and the problem didnt get resolved, so then they had to take it back for another 1 1/2 weeks, in which the job finally got done, but then a piece of our tail light was chipped off and so they had to replace that, which initially wasnt the reason why we even went in for. Then they forgot to plug in our electric parking sensors and so we had to have them fix that. People were very friendly, but they really dropped the ball.

Comment: My insurance company scheduled an appointment with Caliber Collision to get an estimate. I took my vehicle in and I never received an estimate. I was never given the choice of whether I wanted to get my vehicle fixed there or not. They just started working on my vehicle. It took 4 days to receive an estimated date of completion and that estimated date was two weeks from the day I took it in. When I received my vehicle back, there were scuff marks on it that I had to ask the guy to polish off. The spot they repaired was not done very well. The paint has bubbles in it and there was paint spray overflow or something by the area that was fixed that wasn’t sanded down. It is all rough. The customer service and quality control is definitely not there. I do not recommend this place.

Comment: I went to Caliber Collision for an estimate on an incident I recorded on my dash cam. The estimator was an older Asian gentleman, and when I explained what happened, he said confidently that the damage couldnt have occurred from the incident I described. He said the damage probably happened because I backed into something without noticing, insinuating that Im an inattentive driver. So he wrote an estimate only covering half of the damage to my car. I felt insulted and disrespected by this employee.Needless to say, I chose a different company that treated me with respect and wrote an accurate estimate. I ended up choosing them to repair my car as well.

Comment: Although the staff was really professional and nice, the supervisor Mun Pang was not. I never a received any call or notification about my vehicle. I received my estimate for the damages done to my car by my insurance company on Monday, then two days later (luckily I have was scrolling through my email) I received a “follow up” email from the supervisor, Mun Pang to come pick up my vehicle. When he finally returned my call, he was rude and made statements like “ I don’t know if you did this to you car, but we cannot fix the damages. This is not a vandalism claim, this is collision,” when I tried to explain what happen, he cut me off and stated, “yea, whatever, come get your vehicle.”When I went to go get my vehicle, the receptionist helped me out. The supervisor was sitting right next to her and did not say one word to me. As they brought my car to the front ..I walked out the building and the supervisor followed me… (now he wants to talk?) and insisted to show me what the issue was. Again, I told him what happened and he proceeded to talk to me like I was stupid and did not know what I was talking about. In the end, last thing he said was “uuuh ok” and acted clueless.

Comment: After some lady backed into us in the Walmart parking lot, I wasn’t able to open my passenger side door! But Jim at caliber really did an amazing job with all the repairs. He made sure the door opened, the paint matched perfectly and evreything else in between got fixed and looked at. He even got the blue paint off of my car from when I backed into a dumpster. They kept us well informed on where the car was at during repairs and really made sure we were taken care of and happy. Everyone was smiling and happy and so nice to talk to and made us feel so welcome and helped us out to the best of their abilities. 10/10 recommend caliber for all your car needs!

Comment: We took out car to Caliber Collision to repair damage to the front end of our vehicle that was hit by a flying pIece of 2X6 at 65mph on the interstate. From the front office people to Jim the service guy that helped us throughout the repair, and the Service Manager, they were all very professional and completely thorough and helpful. We got several text messages from Jim throughout the process informing us of the status and always asking if we had questions or concerns. One part, the grill, was shipping delayed so they offered us an upgrade that was in stock for that part at no additional cost. The repair was done several days before originally scheduled. Completely satisfied and would definitely recommend them for vehicle body work. I’ve used them more than once and they do a great job.

Comment: Calibur claimed my vehicle only had a broken strut and some fender damage but I knew I had experienced a lot of play in the steering wheel so I made sure to mention there was likely an issue with the steering column and to tell the mechanic before they started the repairs. After being told by Caliber that the vehicle was finished and safe to drive, I picked up the vehicle and immediately knew the vehicle was not test driven at all and definitely fully repaired as the steering column and wheel had a lot of play and movement. I was advised by Caliber to return the vehicle to their mechanic to do further investigation. I literally drove the car to the mechanic and drove him around the block to show the very clear banging noises and loose steering.I was then told by Carlos @ Caliber later that their mechanic declared the major steering issues I was experiencing were due to wear and tear and that they would not be included in the vehicles insured repairs. I knew this was not true as the vehicle had never been in an accident and this issue was not present at all prior to the incident. To make things worse, it even seemed they were implying I was trying to get something unfairly. Calibur did a terrible inspection of the vehicle and now that the repairs were incomplete they wanted to pass that burden on to the customer.West Coast Toyota did the further investigation into the vehicles damage and located obvious steering shaft damage that was related to the impact, not wear and tear. Even at the dealership Calibur tried to get involved and take a cut of the repairs from my insurance. This all caused more delays, confusion and I still dont have confidence in the repairs on my vehicle. Absolute nightmare repair scenario.

Comment: This specific Caliber Collision was an enormous pain to work with and I highly recommend finding a different shop in the area. Gabby was extremely difficult to communicate with and was not completely honest about the repairs that took place on my car. When I walked in, I needed a new side mirror after I was involved in a side swipe hit and run. Gabby first offered the factory OEM model but I was not looking to pay $500 plus for a mirror. She then recommended the aftermarket part which I confirmed with her twice in person that it would be the exact same part, just without the Toyota logo or vin number. She was very reassuring that it would function and look the exact same. Later in the week, I called to schedule the repair and went into the shop. The repairs were completed within the day and I receive a call from Gabby telling me there is now an $85 outstanding charge on file for me. I asked why, and she equated it to charging me for the computer system scan in and scan out which made zero sense. Being a little suspicious of this, I showed up at Caliber to pick up my car and asked about the charge again. This time though, the charge was for paint additives. $85 worth of paint additives for what was in total a $30 paint job. Why did the reasoning for the charge change all of a sudden? I have no idea. Charging me without any phone call or prior confirmation is simply ridiculous especially with the knowledge that I did not want to spend $500 in the first place. I likely would have taken my mirror elsewhere to get it painted had I known they were charging me $115 for paint. It did not end here though. I went to look at the mirror and immediately noticed that the actual glass itself was much smaller than the housing. Again, I was reassured by Gabby that the aftermarket part would function and look the exact same. This was clearly not the case and when asking about it, Gabby immediately went back on her words and said that very often customers are not as happy with the aftermarket parts. With this knowledge, I would think she would at least have called before installing the wrong part on my car. A quick phone call telling me the part was different would have immediately changed my mind about the aftermarket part. When paying nearly three times the price for a $50 aftermarket mirror, I assume that part of that price is paying for the shops expertise in ordering satisfactory parts. Instead I am stuck with a small rattly mirror on the left side of my car and $430 drained from my account. So after being charged extra with no warning and having the wrong mirror installed with no warning along with the bonus of their very expensive paint not even matching my car, I have to strongly recommend against this specific Caliber Collision.

Almost 3 months I waited for this branch to fix my bumper and nothing could be done by this branch. As he was quoting/inspecting my cars collision needs, why would he even remark to a customer and myself that he has an email address for his wife and, one for his girlfriend. Comment: My son got in a minor accident with his 2013 Mazda 3 that ended up causing damage to his front bumper, hood, and driver-side panel and door. Our insurance company sent a list of preferred providers, and after calling a few with challenging schedules, we ended up choosing Caliber in Riverton. Im so glad we did! They got us in faster than any other shop, and after they had our car, they checked in with us nearly every day to let us know what was happening, and they maintained that same communication with our insurance adjustor, making the whole process so much less stressful than it could have been. They also had a process tracker that set my mind at ease (because Im a crazy person that sometimes needs to check progress in the middle of the night). They also stayed on schedule, I got my car back exactly when I expected it (to the hour!), and they offered to have my rental picked up at their shop instead of forcing me to find a way to drop it off. The car looks amazing, and they even buffed the other foggy headlight. Aside from all that though, they were friendly and professional, and I couldnt ask for a better team (especially Andrew) to take care of us. I hope to never have to use them again, but if I need auto body work, I will absolutely be back!

We dropped off the vehicle on time and it sat in the same stall in the parking lot for a week before I had to call for a status update and nobody could tell me where it was at in the repair process (because they hadn’t started as promised). Then magically I got a text the next day saying they started repairs but the information was spotty so I had to call for updates. Nobody but the repair manager could answer any questions and she was always “out”. We also received our car back 2 weeks later than promised. Finally, they didn’t walk the car with us and when we got home we noticed two 6 inch long scratches on the opposite side of the car that are new. They said they’d repair them but now we have to take it back in for more repairs.

Comment: Caliber Collision was amazing to work with on the repairs of our SUV. Our vehicle was brand new and was damaged when a tire flew off a car in front of us. We were devastated! Caliber fixed her up beautifully and she looks brand new again! Due to Covid and production of parts and having a new vehicle, it took some time to get in what we needed. However they communicated with us throughout the entire process so we always had updates! Once our parts were in they completed the repairs on time and in the amount of time promised. We highly recommend this shop!

Not only did she know a ton about vehicles and repairs she kept me up to date with how the repair was going, and even though the insurance company had them buy a used door to replace, 2 doors ended up coming that were damaged. I really needed to get my car by the end of the week and she made it happen. Thank you Lorri! Caliber is very lucky to have you.

Comment: Brought my car here to get fixed after I got rear ended and there service from the time I was in and out was amazing. They greeted me when I arrived and I checked In and filled out paper work. The guy came out to inspect my car and told me an estimate of time it would take to get repaired, checked for damages and took me back into the office and gave me the paper work I needed. Called the rental car company to pick me up. They kept me updated while my car was being repaired. Once I arrived to pick up my car they went above and beyond besides the repairs. They washed my car inside and out and detailed the car. They also took off all the haze from my headlights. Asked for an estimate for my front bumper as well. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Comment: Back in 2013 my car was involved in a hit a run. Through my insurance I took it to Caliber collision for the repair for the front and rear bumper and replacement for the tires that were damaged from the accident. They aesthetically fixed everything but it looks only good from the outside.-I started noticing that my vehicle was driving unstable at high rate of speed. They said they did an alignment.... my new tire tread soon worn off and it was fixed due to new tires and proper alignment-the front tow hook on my jeep was also impacted.... I barely notice it years later. The tow hook was bent out of place and they kept it on instead of ordering a new tow hook.-after a few months of driving I started noticing bumper screw tabs started missing. The front bumper was not put on correctly as it seems out of place.I wish they are more comprehensive in their repairs rather than overlooking some issues.

Comment: Im a pretty simple guy and I dont demand much. I just want my car fixed. Apparently, 4-5 months since the fix, there are more problems with the car than I expected. A lot of shady things happened to my car. Ill be very concrete and logical with this review. Allstate recommended me to these people, but Im left very disappointed and angry. I never had a problem with any car repair shop in my life, even when they fixed it, I tried not to be nit picky with them and went my own way. It sure backfired not making a complaint ASAP cause I just want my car fixed to go to work.Insurance charged me 35 for the new wheel. I paid for the new tire. Apparently, I have a spare tire/rim in the trunk of my car. When I had a flat tire a few days ago, I looked for my spare tire and it was gone. I knew Collision Tires used my tires and rims and claimed they purchased a new one. This is very unprofessional and shady. This is a 5 thousand dollar fix and it felt like it was half of that.The point of insurance is to fix whatever damage that happened at the accident and restore it what it was before. Ill make this clear, if theres a rebuttal by Collsion, okay, my back bumper was comestically damaged before, but Im not going to talk about that because it has nothing to do with this complaint. The complaint was that they rushed my car and I dont feel my car is the same as before.They also lost the cap of my rims, and said theyll call me back. Never did. Its already since August they didnt call me for that piece of cap on the rim.There are weird noises coming out of the front car. A shhhh sound at times. I hear clinking sounds when I brake. I understand no one is perfect and thats why I usually take things back if I find there is a problem. If these people claim took my spare tires/rims from teh back of my car and claimed to the insurance that they bought it. Professional this is wrong and shady business practice. It is not honest. I will be making a complaint to allstate about this and I will go to these people on monday. I will keep posted about this. My car is not the same as before and they claimed some things in the receipt that they didnt even pay for. REALLY SHADY.

Comment: Estimators dont do a thorough job of assessing the vehicle damage. Caused problems for me with my insurance as the supplemental estimate was considerably more than the original estimate. 👎🏻👎🏻
