We were just notified by the USPS that packages wont be delivered to the building anymore because theyre have been so many thefts. Car breakins dont even make it into conversations with neighbors because weve gotten so used to them.The material used for the apartrments is the cheapest possible (cabinets are actually a compressed cardboard with a plastic overwrap!).. The gates and doors are regularly broken or left wide open to facilitate the constant construction (over a year now).

Comment: DO NOT RENT HERE!!!DO NOT RENT HERE!!!You are warned.This is a long review but you should read it before you lease/rent at Camden Harbor View.I will continue to update this review with my experiences as I expect more to arise:6/2/2024:I am 4 months into my lease at Camden Harbor View and it has been my worst experience as a renter. Every negative review you read is 10 times worse as most complaints are on the resident app (which you only get access to AFTER signing your lease).Every positive review is from before people move in (ask yourself why).Maintenance is SLOW and its 50/50 if they resolve your issue. Ive been waiting 4 months to have my fridge fixed (is that even legal ?) . There have been PLUMBING and hot water issues FOR YEARS. At least 3 years, minimum.The staff at the leasing/resident office are generally unhelpful and are sometimes nasty/mean. The manager is extremely unhelpful and passive aggressive. Youre better off going on the Camden website than speaking with him as that is extent of his helpfulness in resolving resident issues. If you want proof, look at all their copy and paste responses on negative reviews.The staff and manager will generally look for ways to blame you and absolve themselves of any responsibility in ALL ISSUES. So BE CAREFUL when you go to them to ask for help. Security, maintenance, theft, loss of property - it doesnt matter, they will BLAME YOU. They are quite competent at this.They will literally just regurgitate company policy over and over like robots or completely ignore you instead of engaging residents helpfully. They are nice before you sign your lease though, make of that what you will.You are also FORCED to use SPECTRUM WIFI which fails on a weekly basis. Weekly is not an exaggeration, including work hours.Do not rent here. It is worse than you think.

Comment: Once you sign a lease, they dont care about you at all. Our building cant get USPS packages because there have been so many thefts. When I let the building management know, they told me to contact the postmaster to resolve it. They couldnt see a reason to get involved.Their construction crew and other workers prop the buildings entrance open regularly for full days for weeks at a time. They wont change a thing about how they operate.Cars are regularly broken into in the secure parking lot ($100/month per vehicle for a spot) The photos were taken over a 1 week period when the parking garage gates were stuck open. This is common. Each photo is from a different day over a 20 day span this summer.Absolutely no concern for security.UPDATE - It took almost 3 years, but theyve gotten better at security. But still keeping the two stars. For the second time maintenance, which has a really good team, accidentally damaged a light fixture in my ceiling, which is 20 high. They were changing the bulb October of 2023. The light fixture started sparking. We taped the switch so it wouldnt be used until it was fixed. It is now May.. Over 7 MONTHS LATER and management still hasnt sent an electrician to replace it. 2.5 years ago the dark kitchen floor was scratched by maintenance fixing the fridge. IT IS STILL NOT FIXED because management doesnt care. Ive placed related service tickets that just get cancelled without explanation. I submitted a complaint to HQ in Texas.... Still nothing.

Comment: Found this really nice shop inside Camden harbor work/ live Loft in LongBeach called Nina B trap hair Salon. Classy and its really a vibe here the lady Nina was doing my hair tonight and she ran out because she heard the thumps and noises coming from rats in her walls and/or ceiling ... I COULD not believe it .. Loud as hell sounds like Bigfoot in the walls . Crazy ... she said she told management about it . And yet and still nothing really has been done. So sad she mentioned she moving soon . Management or leasing should do something about it but I had to post .. see video

Comment: What a wonderful community to live in. Great neighbors, amazing amenities, and the staff couldnt be more accommodating. Update. This place was great in the beginning. The unresponsiveness of maintenance and the office is very disheartening. Major leak from the unit above me. The walls have been cut out and covered in plastic for months, nobody calls or gives updates. I call and ask for an update and nobody returns my calls. Had a clog and a leak in my kitchen. Maintenance came after multiple phone calls while I wasnt home. They replaced the disposal but did not fix the clog. They also left my front door propped open with the deadbolt. Very irresponsible!!!!! Thank God my dog did not get out. Think twice before moving in here.

Comment: This is a total surprise! I went to get a tour of the apartments and they sent me on a self-guided tour. This is where I would walk around the complex myself and view the model apartment (2 bedroom 2 bath) on my own. The apartment itsel6is great! The space, location, and price for DTLB was amazing! However.... as I was on my tour, I had 5 different families approach me and alert me of their situation and why I should NOT move there. I heard everything from rats in the walls, car break-ins on a regular, 2:00AM fire alarm on a consistent basis (weekly), kids trespassing, home invasions, multie robberies, but most importantly... the management does NOTHING about it!!! 😮😬 I asked one of the managers, or sales reps (not sure what theyre title is, about the comments and they said, we dont know anything about those things.... And that maybe true... however, 3 of the families showed me the apartment complex community chat system they have to post incidents and wowza!!! It was VERY CONVERNING!!!! DEFINITELY BE WARE OF WHAT YOU ARE SEEING. It may look good from the outside, but ots definitely not worth the pain, headache, or sacrifice of life, to protect yourself. I want to thank the residents on warning me. As I was leaving, a women was complaining about RATS.being in her apartment. Wow... I knew this was not the place for me... love the price, but dont want the problems. Hope they get better. Enjoy.

Comment: This is by far our last straw, PEST issues. Weve recently had a small, furry, creature scurry in our kitchen. This is because maintenance changed our appliances but left holes for them to get into our apartment! Camden refuses to take accountability for this or reimburse us for all the money we spent on a hotel because they were closed for the day and couldnt offer any solutions. MANY people are complaining about this issue. Pest control will do what, spray the common areas and lay traps? Thats it. We asked management well who is going to get the traps and clean up with the droppings, they didnt have an answer. My sister and others on our floor say that they can hear things in the walls and vents. There are restaurants on the first floor and I KNOW they have this issue as well. This is violations of health codes in various areas and NEEDS to be solved now.The Camden management team is terrible. The staff is useless. The maintenance crew tries their best with what and who they have. There are about 4 maintenance workers in rotation for a building of 500 or so units. So it takes forever to get maintenance to do anything. It is super scary to live through. We are on our way out but its just been a long road.All in all, I would not recommend Camden. It was at the peak around 2014-2016 and it has gone downhill since. People arent as friendly anymore (rightfully so, we are all living through trying, hard times). Management sucks. Corporate sucks. They like to put bandaids where tourniquets need to be placed (small solutions to large problems until everyone is complaining and it damage is completely unrepairable and irreversible.)Save your time and money by looking elsewhere.Yes, we live downtown, but Camden is not proactive. They have homeless people in and around all the amenities and on the grounds. They are violent, they are belligerent, and they are dangerous to the tenants and families who pay to live here. They are hanging around without a care in the world. They have lived in stairwells and other places on the property. Camden decided to get security, who do not work around the clock in order to ensure that tenants are in a secured environment. In addition, there is no way to call security personnel when we do not feel secure, and we’re instructed to contact the local police department. Then we are informed that there is nothing the police can do without assistance from the apartment managers. Which brings me back to the point that cameras do not work and our advances to retrieve footage of incidents were denied after multiple attempts.Save your time and money by looking elsewhere. We will be out soon.

Comment: Edit #2:Dropping another star due to the maintenance team having slowly worsened to the point of near worthlessness. Tickets are frequently closed without comment and with no visible action. It should not take 6+ months and a dozen tickets to replace the now missing handle on the trash chute when I could run to a hardware store and do it within a day.My washing machine crapped out over Christmas and it took *over a month* to have someone even stop by my unit to take a look at it, let alone diagnose the issue, get the replacement parts required, and actually fix it.I understand that the maintenance team is apparently understaffed, but the fact that this has persisted for as long as it has implies a systemic issue with its management that prevents it from hiring capable personnel or from retaining those who perform well.Edit:Dropping a star because of a few minor issues that are compounding of late.Reserved parking spots were added - yay! - but to get one is an extra $50/mo, which not many have opted for. This leaves general parking at a way higher utilization and makes it hard to find spots for guests who visit.The smoke free policy enforcement has been a lax mass email blast that has done nothing to curtail people smoking in stairwells or in areas that are noticable to nearby units. Supposedly there are security patrols, but attempting to contact them is an exercise in futility.Despite assurances by the main office, the non-optional included spectrum internet does not offer a way to hard-wire to the network unless youre lucky enough to have an access point with an open port in your unit (not guaranteed). Even then, without resorting to powerwall adapters or MoCA, theres no way to it to other devices easily when the access point is in a closet in one corner of the unit.Hard wiring wouldnt be a major concern if the WiFi coverage was good, but its overly congested and frequently sees bandwidth limitations - 40 Mbps w/ high ping for what should be a 200 Mbps service - or just spotty connections. Not to mention the whitelisted PAN setup is a pain to configure.Original review still stands, but minor grievances and aging units is definitely making this a hard sell for the Rent, even if the location and amenities are quite good.Original:Well established downtown Long Beach apartment complex. Reasonably priced for the location and features on offer, though the older buildings are certainly starting to show their age.Management company runs properties across the nation, so the standard of quality for their representatives is set above the average crapshoot that local one-off property management seems to be.Excellent service team rapidly responds to tickets.

Comment: Nice places for lease in the heart of downtown Long Beach, CA. Close to shops, restaurants, the Convention Center, Comedy Club, Shoreline Village, and the 710 and 405 freeways. Very accessible to everything that is Long Beach, including water sports, ferry to Catalina Island, weekend events and festivals, proximity to 2nd Street with more cool shops and restaurants and youll never be bored even within the community, which is fully contained with amenities such as pools, gyms, party rooms, BBQ areas, and the leasing staff is very nice and professional. Theres also a store for picking snacks on premises.

Comment: Updating again just so people are aware of what they are getting into!!!2/16/24 and still no repairs done in my apartment! I see someone recently asked the office and about the girl with no roof and they told them they have 24/7 maintenance but believe me it is all a joke at this apartment complex! The “fire pit lounge” has been removed months ago, you are forced to pay for cable and internet that barely works and now we have many tenants complaining of roaches and rates! Beware!!!Updated 1/9/24. I have now lived with my apartment “under construction” for over 6 weeks! Very little/poor communication on what’s going on. Rent is way too expensive here to have to live like this and not given any support or retributions from Camden because they say the water leak was not their fault! It wasn’t mine either and yet I’m the one with no walls!Getting anything fixed is a joke. Took 3 months to get my dishwasher fixed and people telling me someone was coming to look when they never showed or reporting that someone came and “figured out what was wrong with it” without anyone actually showing up to look. Would open a service request just to have it closed or no response for weeks.

Comment: Went to view this apartment. My appointment was at 2 pm and the office was closed. They booked my appointment and left the office locked. Anyway, I came back an hour later for a self-guided tour then, they made me download an app and gave me instructions on how to navigate the building etc. I went to view the apartments one bed and 2 bed and there were roaches crawling in both. In fact, when I was briefing me about the apartments I even brought up that I had read in the views that there is a roach infestation and she told me there isn’t and that they have pest control that comes once a month. I also asked her about one of the tenants and how their ceiling came apart and that she had been living without a ceiling for weeks and this girl just totally played dumb lol don’t live here.

Before moving here I would check local stories and read all reviews! From the pictures of residents posted, this place looks like a HUD property with the overpainted walls, rust window frames, and dirty walls.. there are much nicer properties around with better rates.

This is what they expected my 20 year old son, and his first experience being on his own to live in. .This is what $4000 a month will get you at Camden Harbor View in Long Beach, California.Not only did they let him sign a lease, knowing that the property was absolutely filthy and uninhabitable, the rotten people working at the desk for the property management on the weekend took defense real quick and were real short with me when I was trying to explain and show them their property in depth with a few pictures I took.Then just one short day to cash the check so I wouldn’t get it back to put towards another place. Not to mention the U-Haul was two days at a minimum over to due to their and two nights at a hotel because I wasn’t about to put my property in that infestation pests cockroaches and whatever else was there unknown.I can’t imagine if the corporate even cares the upper management of Camden need to figure that has some type of Dignity and respect to make this, right and immediately give my son back his deposit The entire deposit do you want to take two days off? Prorating him back what’s left of the deposit? Can you believe this everybody knows Even a child knows that place is extremely filthy. Now I understand that it’s probably a few bad people or maybe just one bag person there who knows and Camden truly doesn’t want their properties rented out like that especially on the first day of possession when it’s not even in movable or living condition however that’s why I’m reaching out here. Giving them an opportunity to have the review removed an opportunity for them to make up for the hotel stay to take the two days off I what they charge my son and pay for his U-Haul. That was two days over. Know if this company was any decent, they would go ahead. And make it right. So we will give them an opportunity to do so. However, if I don’t Tuesday that’s three days then they can expect a small claims lawsuit at the local Courthouse here and trust me with the judge sees those pictures and the lack of care, and the lack of responsibility, knowing that it’s their fault and there’s no doubt about it He’s gonna lay down the law in my son’s favorite and probably for 3 to 7 times the that were requesting.This is an edit. Apparently my son was told by the management team that was there on Friday. That’s the day he took possession of the uninhabitable garden, do you know the third world country apartment, he was told that there would be a exterminator there at 9 AM and told him to to vacate the property, and had him sign something saying that he was OK with exterminator to make it, or give it a chance anyways, to make it right, however, they never showed up so not only did they deliver the absolute worst possible service in a total useless apartment, but they also lied on top of it to compound the horrific reality of being a total failure. And speaking of reality, I don’t think I’ve ever taken a quicker deuce in my life then I did at that apartment.. I got off the toilet and in record time. My son is pretty shy, but I’m not, so I thought it might be a good idea and two add a few of the neighbors if they had any unwanted visitors in the form of a pest or insect(s) one of the new neighbors that just moved in as my son did, had said no. I believe her however, she was only there for two hours, but I did ask everyone I came in contact with between The Apartments and the parking garage and they all said yes, there is an infestation. One of them suggested to take refuge in building number two as my son was in building number five and no sooner than that was said the manager approached my wife and son, and made that very same suggestion. I guess the reasoning is with their mentality the closer to the leasing office the better condition the building will be in since the leasing agent Hass to give tours to new prospects, seeking to lease or become future resident(s).lazy people.

This property had a serious pest control problem which had been unaddressed for an extended period, severely impacting my standard of living.During my tenancy, I was consistently troubled by a rampant rat infestation, which the management failed to adequately handle. The smell was not only unpleasant but made living conditions unbearable. The issue persisted for 6 weeks despite numerous complaints, making me question the propertys commitment to tenant comfort and safety.Upon my move out due to this unresolved pest issue, things took a turn for the worse. The management sent me a move-out statement with an outstanding balance of $800, with $500 deducted from my deposit. However, despite my repeated requests, I was never provided with an itemized bill detailing the alleged charges.Fast forward six months later, this unresolved issue has taken a toll on my financial standing. Without any further communication or attempts to address my concerns, the property management abruptly sent the matter to collections. As a result, my credit score has been negatively affected, an action that I find both unethical and unfair.It is vital for prospective tenants to be aware of these issues before making a decision. I hope that the management will take this feedback seriously and make necessary changes to their pest control measures and dispute resolution processes, ensuring no future tenants have to endure such experiences.In summary, I would urge extreme caution before deciding to lease from this property. Comment: I have to update my review after living here, because despite having access to a covered garage, our car was stolen given Camden corporate’s inability to address issues in a timely matter. They only have leasing specialists and sales managers on staff at the Harbor View apartments— this means that there is no property manager despite thousands of units.The door to the garage is broken, allowing our car to be stolen. As we work from home, we don’t have theft coverage and now have a gutted car we still have to make payments on that we need to fix out of pocket.I will not be renewing my lease here and I recommend looking elsewhere if you can afford it. There are many luxury apartments in the area with similar amenities, and although the sales staff here tries their best, they are not equipped to deal with the very real issues of downtown living.

Comment: You are only a transaction to this community. You wait on the phone for hours just to speak to someone who isnt even in Long Beach. Youre made to do everything online which is fine with me, but then when youre ready for move in day, they hit you with a bunch of hurdles to overcome before you can even sign the lease. Property manager has zero interest in providing customer service or calling a concerned new resident back. I will never work or live with a Camden Property again in my life. To think this was going to be a great working relationship for the company and my foundation that I wouldnt allow my enemy to live in one of their properties.

Comment: The apartment was given to me in an unsanitary condition, and I became temporarily disabled due to illness. There was a black substance in the faucets, fixtures and/or drainage systems in the kitchen and master bath. I asked them to professionally clean it, and install a water filter that I purchased, and they said no to both. I submitted a claim, and they sent a discriminatory letter that implied they would disregard and be dismissive of anything I say, and would not resolve this in an amicable way; they would not compensate me for the harm, damage, or loss. It was disgusting. The staff entered my apartment under false pretenses, without notice, and when I was not home. When I first moved in I noticed things were missing, while requested services had not been completed, although they were reported as completed. 2020-2021, on a service request for the toilet the staff smeared faces on the wall. I reported there was a foul smelling liquid coming from the leaky ceiling in the guest bathroom in 2022, and they refused to do anything until May 2023. There are still 6 x 1 holes in the bathroom ceiling, for weeks now. I believe a staff member arranged to steal my vehicle from the residential parking garage, and the staff logged into my account to print parking passes, without my knowledge or permission, shortly after, my vehicle was stolen. The neighbors are noisy and nosey. Loud pounding and banging that rattle my apartment is almost a daily issue. The next door neighbor gave a false gossip statement to the government, and we have never even met, or had a conversation before; the neighbors defamation caused me harm. I am so disgusted. My rent has been raised twice since I moved in, and I have been living here for two years and 10 months.I believe I am being harassed, and subjected to unfair and unlawful housing practices. Camden Harbor View is trying to recover the money that was withheld by the Housing Authority of the City of Long Beach due to abatement, directly from me. We all received the notice of inspection, 1st failed inspection notice, 2nd failed inspection notice, and abatement notice, however, they are ignoring that process even occurred, and robbing me, and trying to collect the HUD portion of rent directly from me, against the law. Timmique Carter placed a Pay or Quit Notice on my door even though HACLB/HUD served them with the legal documents saying I only had to pay my tenant portion. They confiscated the balance that was in my tenant account; approximately $1,500.Return my money to my account!Also, I requested in writing in March to remove the parking fee from my account, since they stole my vehicle, and I was still charged for parking in May and June. Further, I was charged a late fee for rent in May when the records showed the rent was paid in full on the 3rd of the month; before the rent due date. You owe me for the inappropriately charged late fees, the inappropriately charged parking fees, and whatever money you took for me during the abatement.These people contributed to the view that LA County people are evil zombies who abuse their jobs to hurt people, instead of learning and demonstrating self control and mental stability. I will be so happy when I can relocate away from this zone, and I hope Gods wrath, and hell fire hit this place hard. Ill make friends elsewhere, because I am too disgusted by the lack of morals and lawlessness that has shown to be the norm of these Los Angeles County people. There is an extremely deep and severe loss of trust, and the goal is to live in a different countRy. My life is in waiting until I can relocate to somewhere that is not lawless and where people still have souls, morals, and lives that I can clearly see matters... This place isnt it.

Comment: The apartments which are remodeled are beautiful, however there is a huge lack of communication from the leasing office, and the reason for my review. After doing an in person tour, I had interest in a corporate lease and sent numerous emails about my interest in applying. It took 3 days to get any response about this. There was no clarification about the entire application process and what would be needed for a corporate lease, all I was told was there was a paper application. This was sent to me after 5 days, and instead I was sent a personal residential application. In an email I had sent to ask about corporate lease application clarification, I mentioned that I live an hour away and would like to clarify everything to do with a corporate lease before driving to Long Beach to sign the paperwork. I had to call numerous times and send multiple emails, which I did not hear back from. Courtney had not responded to many of my calls or emails, and I had only come to know about the need for a 2 year business credit after driving out and filling out the wrong online application sent 5 days prior. I had to drive an hour out and sit down to get any real clarification. Tim was not respectful, and we heard no apology for the lack of communication or lack of detailed explanation for everything that was needed for a corporate lease, and no apology for making us drive an hour instead of communicating through email or over the phone. My issues is not with the fact that I needed to have proof of 2 years built business credit, it was the fact that I had only come to know about it after filling out the wrong application sent several days prior and from having to drive out so far for this clarification which could have been responded to in an email or over a phone call. I have an issue with the huge lack in communication, miscommunication and lack of professionalism from this leasing office. If anyone ends up living here, beware that it may be days before any of your concerns or questions are addressed. Pray you dont have any emergency, for the leasing office may take days to get back to you.

An agent with Camden Living just keeps telling me theyve escalated my request to the Harbor View leasing office and theyll be in contact, but nobody has reached out. My roommate and I applied for apartment 1210 last week and never got any updates after various attempts to follow up. When I log into the applicant portal, it says the apartment is no longer available, so I assume it leased to someone else. As you can imagine, wed both like our $250 holding fee back. I sent an email through the website, and the only response has been automatic messages telling me to schedule a tour and apply. Currently been waiting for 10+ minutes trying to reach someone on the phone. This has been happening daily. Very frustrating. Terrible service, got scammed out of $500 in holding fees. Would like an agent to contact me as soon as possible.

With work and obligations the next day, you can imagine how quickly the stress set in knowing I wouldn’t be able to leave until it was fixed. Jeremy came by after hours (almost 9 pm!) and took a look at the door.Turns out it needed a whole new motherboard for the electronic lock. He assured me he would return first thing in the morning to replace it. Sure enough, the next morning he texted promptly to let me know he was working on it and would be by shortly! Comment: I live in the apartments next door and the alarms are so loud and are always on frequently. A loud buzzing sounds that goes off at all times of the day. This sound is currently keeping all of us neighbors up for up at 2am.The fact that they don’t have someone to turn off the alarm is very frustrating . Comment: First and foremost I want to thank the staff for all they do and their responsiveness to any need we have had. I have been here for a few years and I absolutely love the team. They are very attentive and do their best to make sure their tenants are happy and taken care of. Even with the recent renovations in the works they have done their best to make sure we have not lost the amenities we have. Some people can see temporary relocations of features such as the fitness center as an inconvenience but it really isnt major. I would rather take a few extra steps than to lose the amenity altogether. From the perks to the luxurious units and amazing area with so much to do, Camden Harbor View has so much to offer! Ive read some of the other reviews and frankly I dont get it. If youre unhappy with anything then find a new home, its simple. Ultimately I have never experienced anything as described. I have nothing but positive remarks to make about this place! Safe and sound with me and my little family. I definitely recommend this place for those looking for a new home in Long Beach!

They are called luxury apartments but are in fact a dump. Its not safe as Packages get stolen every day, homeless wonder around the hallways anytime of the day, cars get stolen and broken into. To make things worst, even though you have a parking pass on your car, it gets towed anyways. Its a non-smoking property but Weed smell everywhere. Before they used to get the hallways vacuumed every day, shampooed once a month or every other month, the parking lot used to be power washed once a year, none of that is being done anymore. Everything stinks now. I do not recommend Camden Harbor View apartments to anyone.

What makes a beautiful apartment complex to me is the staff and the amenities. I really like the staff here. Some of the workers are Devon, Jeremy, Candice, Michael, and Nemias. They are just wonderful. There is one particular person who I am also grateful for that works here. This person is the assistant manager Timique. Since he has been here he has cleaned up much of the complainants I have read about in the previous reviews.He is always pleasant when I see him. This is a large apartment complex and I can imagine it takes a lot to manage. However, with Timique he manages it like it is a smaller complex. What I mean is that you would never be able to tell how massive this complex is because he makes it look easy by handling any complaint extremely fast and effective. A property is only as good as their management in my opinion. The management at Camden Harbor view is exemplary!This is a beautiful complex with a wonderful staff! Everyone I have encountered is wonderful! If you are looking for a lovely place to live I would advise that you seriously consider Camden Harbor View Apartments!

Comment: I truly love living here! The employees here have done so much. The office people really care about the residents and always do their best to keep everyone happy, and thats tough! The maintenance team are amazing, I rarely have issues in my apartment but when I do, they always take care of it and theyre super quick too. The changes around the building have been for the better. And I totally love the new manager there, I think her name is Annalesha, shes already getting to know all of us and shes incredibly nice!The location of this community is awesome. Its so close to lots of restaurants and things to do. My kids love the aquarium being so close, we have an annual pass. Beautiful scenery, close to the ocean, lots of natural light, burst of fresh air, etc.

Comment: NOT SAFE. DO NOT RECOMMEND, esp. for people with children! My family and I lived at the Camden for a year and ultimately left in the middle of our lease due to safety concerns. Several cars are broken into every single day, mail is stolen every day, people break into the building late at night (2 AM) to harass/scare residents, the police are there often dealing with crimes, and there were a couple of armed assaults on the property during our stay. There are not enough cameras, and there is no security (the courtesy patrol does nothing). Due to lack of cameras and security no crime is ever solved or resolved which has sadly made the Camden an easy target for reoccurring crime. The crime rates everywhere have increased, but the Camden has done nothing to combat this and keep their residents safe. Its unfortunate because the building itself is beautiful; its just not safe at all.

Comment: Renters beware:Apartment 3403 (2 Bed, 2 Bath + “Loft”) from December 2017 to March 2018. Gilbert Duenez told us “The loft is the same size of one of the rooms.” This was a blatant lie, the loft is 1/3 the size of the bedroom. My roommate and I were living out of an AirBnB and they didn’t have an open same floor plan apartment for us to see so I guess that’s our fault in trusting Camden.Throughout the year 2 things were clear:1. Camden residents don’t respect their neighbors, dog piss in the halls and elevators on a weekly basis, management doesn’t do anything to fix this issue.2. Camden replaced carpet of apartments at least 2-3 times a month our entire stay.We kept our apartment clean and did not have any pets (dogs,cats, otherwise). When we moved out we were shocked to have a bill to replace the apartments carpet for “heavy urine damage” note: the company they use to manage carpet cleaning and inspection has a terrible reputation.When we asked for proof from Gilbert Duenez he was dismissive and said “a lot of guests have undisclosed pets.” Rather than being amicable we received a letter from a collection agency to settle the remaining bill.Edit: Images shown were taken Day 1 of our lease and as you can see the carpet was FAR from clean and taken care of. Our only assumption is Camden doesnt value their residents, something proven time and time again during our stay, and likes to pass on the costs of their mistakes onto residents trying to leave.

The disturbance from the construction noise has caused me mental and emotional distress. Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm for FIVE MONTHS there has been unbearable commotion, noise, machines rumbling, right outside my window. Its all happening during COVID, when were all supposed to stay home and help stop the spread, but cannot stay home where it is supposed to be a place for rest, relaxation and work. Many residents have continuously expressed their concern about the noise, yet Camden keeps on harassing us every single day and doing what any major housing corporation does, ignore your residents but collect their money. Not recommending at all if you have to stay and work from home.

Without her, I help things could have been so much more stressful than they were for our household relocation.In fact, Denisse made it possible for us to move to Camden and into a unit that meets our needs given my work from home status. She really made a tremendous effort throughout the leasing process to send us videos, pictures and information we needed to lease our new home sight unseen. Thats how much confidence we had in Denisse and what she did for us.I can say that there are challenges with any community and being located in a metro area, no less Downtown Long Beach. Ive been pleasantly surprised at the thorough communication the staff at Camden has shared with community residents and the efforts they have made publicly to address concerns from the community.I look at over 10 properties before making my decision to call Camden home ... all remote from my home in the Bay Area and Im glad I made the choice I did for my family. People keep to themselves and few opportunities to connect with others. Online community is not effective for connecting and theres no social media presence.*Forced buy in (extra $95), into antiquated Charter Cable service and unreliable community internet service. (I had to get my own private internet on top of $95 extra we pay).*Amenities not really available because if construction and renovations (2020)* Lots of smokers (pot & cigs) so deal breaker for families with kids. No smoking policy is not well enforced but its relatively new.* Poorly insulated from street and construction noise on Street side apts.* Restrictive transfer policies, that keep you stuck if you want to transfer to similar unit in more desirable location away from smokers or noise. No consideration for loyalty.*Lax security. Homeless, mentally ill and riff raff occasionally make their way into community property and can be disruptive. I could deal with a weekly car break-in and the occasional internet outage, but the conditions have been on a free-fall for the last year with no end in sight. Every aspect of living here has gotten unacceptably awful, and every current resident knows it.All summer they have been completely tearing the place to shreds, ripping out all of the landscaping and foliage that made it look halfway decent, closing the pool for the ENTIRE summer for renovations that current residents will probably never see, and subjecting us to incessant construction noise and horrible smells. To make things even worse, the construction has caused rodents and cockroaches to relocate themselves into residents apartments -- and Camden staff chooses to blame the residents instead of being proactive.There is no functioning security whatsoever (lol courtesy security patrol) and cars are broken into nightly in our garage. Homeless, mentally ill, and drug addicted people are passed out all over the outsides, and yes, the INSIDES of our buildings with no repercussions. How is such a lack of security acceptable in a downtown urban environment???Residents are also forced into paying for a cable and internet package that has continued to degrade in quality since I moved in to the point where it is no longer usable, causing residents to have to double-pay for a separate service that works. When we contact Camden about this issue, their only response is for us to call Spectrum and sit on the phone for hours with them to get no solution because WE DONT HAVE INDIVIDUAL CONNECTION ISSUES, IT IS A COMMUNITY-WIDE ISSUE!!!Oh... and then there is the staff. Have a problem with any of the above-mentioned issues? Well you better get ready to go f--- yourself, because that is basically how the staff responds to everything. No help, no suggestion of solutions, nothing -- they just blame residents for everything or ignore you entirely.If you want to check this place out, do yourself a favor and ask an ACTUAL resident what they think while you are in the area... you will not be getting any 4 and 5 star reviews, I can promise you that much.

Comment: I was a tenant at Camden for over two years, when first getting into the apartments my uhaul with my female products was broken into and I lost the items to get ready. One of the Staff members let me use her facial wash and hair utensils that day and keep them. Since then staying Camden had always been great about answering my needs and then some, in fact most days I put in a service order the service team is there same day.There was an incident where I had a bad roommate and had to get a restraining order, and if Tracy and Summer weren’t there to help I don’t think I would have felt as safe or taken’ care of. Not to mention the safety of my apartment. Gilbert is another honorable mention as there have been times he had to hound me for information (I work graves and usually sleep all day) but even then he was always kind to me in elevators and any questions or help I needed he was always there.Always a great staff, and always great additional assistance when I’ve needed it. If I didn’t need more space for my fiancé to move into with me, I probably would have stayed another couple years.

Comment: The building is newer so you won’t have to deal with problems commonly encountered at old apartment buildings such as rodents/bugs etc. As far as the actual apartment units go everything is nice. Unfortunately, your car will most likely be broken into in the gated parking garage. When you call lb pd, they will tell you to advocate with management for more cameras and better security. Don’t think it won’t happen to you... it will. It has happened to almost everyone on my floor. Just know if you move here you can never even for 2 minutes leave anything in the car you do not want stolen. My only qualm with Camden’s is not being forewarned about this problem. Yes, your car can be broken into anywhere at anytime, but the probability is much higher at Camden’s because whoever is doing it keeps getting away with it. If the situation improves/parking garage is made to be safer, I will update this review.

I called and IMMEDIATELY Feliciano and his Team came to my apartment and quickly and efficiently discovered it was a serious situation that required major work. I was so impressed with how diligent and thorough his Team was at assessing the problem and immediately fixing it. Much work to dry out of carpet, floor, walls as well as fixing what was causing the leak. What I appreciated most was the care they took to be certain I was comfortable with the status on what was happening, when it was happening and how long it would take. My bedroom carpet was replaced, the rest of the bedroom carpet shampooed and Feliciano himself, made sure my bathroom floor was spotless when all the work was done. It required coordination with support teams that was finished flawlessly. We are so fortunate to have such dynamic team members here at Camden who take their work so conscientiously. I found the apartment to have many flaws and it was obvious that they were all slapped together on the cheap. Weird stuff like not having hot water in the kitchen unless it was also running in the bathroom is only one example. As a sub-leaser for two weeks there was no way to report oddities to anyone who could do anything.

I disagreed with the amount and no-one could help, then they turned it over to collections. They said they automatically do that after 30 days)..I let the office staff know i would be providing this feedback via Yelp, your website and other public feedback sites. The Camden Harbor View leasing representative (who would not disclose her name) let me know I was free to provide whatever feedback, wherever I wanted. Will never consider Camden again and will warn anyone that does. Consistent feedback for Harbor View is great location, bad management. This is an example of my experience....

Comment: I have been living here for more than a year, and Im happy to say that moving here was the best decision my family and I have ever made. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially Brooke Lorenz. She is always there when we need assistance. The security is very good as well including the robot who rolls all day and night. The atmosphere is wonderful and everyone in the buildings are very friendly and funny people. I like how we are right by the mall to enjoy some shopping and get close to the ocean. It is a very beautiful place to live!

Comment: We have been living here for over a year and so far it has been amazing. We love the location, its perfect for kids, and close to everything. We love walking to the Pike or to downtown. The office staff is amazing and always greets you with a smile. They are always there for you whether you need some assistance or even little things like paper for printer. Comment: I have truly enjoyed living at Camden. The office staff is always very accommodating and easy to work with. The same goes for the maintenance team. I see them working so hard and with a big smile. They always say hello and make sure youre having a good day.I enjoy being able to reserve the community amenities online, pay rent, and other thing such as the community message board.The location is also something that cannot be forgotten about. The Pike is directly behind the community and Pine Ave. on the opposite end. Either way, youre in the best spot in Long Beach.Thank you Camden for making this my place to call home.

With all of the water issues and the reluctance to handle the situation quickly and properly, on Camdens behalf from a monetary customer service standpoint, we dont see the value and feel comfort that potential future utilitiy outages, or any other inconveniences to necessities/amenities we pay for, will be handled with care in putting the customer first.Secondly, the amount of money they are asking for in this lease is not comparable to other apartments in the area and we will not take the risk as its not worth it and is overpriced.We did, however, enjoy the previous two leasing terms we lived here.

Comment: I was working in the cyber lounge a few days ago and Gilbert walked in and asked me if I was ok and asked if I wanted the door closed. I had it opened because the AC was not working and it was warm in the room. He was quick to alologize and he informed he would take down this on formation and make sure to ask for service on the AC. I returned to the cyber lounge a couple days later and the AC was working wonderfully! Today I came to the office looking for a lost USB and a friendly resident had turned it in. Come November it will be 3 years since I have lived here. Thank you Camden.

Comment: I have been living at Camden Harbor View since 2/14/14 and I do love my apartment 💓 We have an amazing view of the Queen Mary here on the 7th floor. The Sunrises & Sunsets will take your breath away...We have had countless Fireworks shows (including the day we moved in 🎆), very cool fly overs (randomly) fighter jets, military choppers, GoodYear blimp and the infamous GhettoBird (not very often w that though) 🚁Awesome amenities throughout the community including an old skool Ms. PacMan arcade game & pinball machine in one of the chill rooms along w pool table, TV wall and lounging furniture; theres also a Wi-Fi lounge with multiple computers (both Mac and PC), 2 pools and a lot more!The maintenance staff is always quick, friendly and respectful. The office drones do their jobs with a smile and enthusiasm, I do like them I just hate the robotic, non emotion responses they sometimes have to resident posts/complaints on the social resident site.The one thing that really has been out of control lately is the water situation in the highrises, too many days w/out water, short emergency NO WATER notices. And the smell in the highrises also NEEDS to be addressed (trash smell).

Comment: I am extremely disappointed due to my recent experiences with the Camden Harbor View. There is a HUGE problem occurring in the complex due to the lack of mailboxes for packages.I and another resident had 3 packages stolen this week. My package was worth $70 and I am now having to submit a crime complaint and have back and forth communication with the site I bought it from, in the hopes of being refunded.I sincerely hope the Camden changes its policy and takes responsibility for lost packages, as it is otherwise a wonderful complex. I will update this review if any changes occur.

Comment: With all the older buildings in Downtown Long Beach, Camden Harbor View is a breath of fresh air. The property is modern looking and well maintained. The location is perfect. Its easy access to the 710 freeway and walking distance to the Pike, Downtown Long Beach, and the actual beach! Ive lived here for almost 2 years now and am glad I made that decision. The apartment units are top notch with stainless steel appliances, roman tubs and washer and dryer in the unit which is a rarity in Southern California. Also a rarity in Downtown is parking which Camden Harbor View has an abundance of, and its covered!. On top of all that, the rent is quite reasonable which gives this property a 5 star.

I love my dark hardwood floors and white cabinets :) This place is walking distance to the pike, downtown restaurants and beach which makes for easy weekend plans and scenic walks with my little dog :) The office is quick to respond to concerns and maintenance requests. Its quiet and safe. And I also feel I should mention that it is walking distance to a coffee shop (in the complex!)- Brew Haus, which has great coffee. I also noticed a starbucks in the works across the street... LOVING downtown Long Beach!

They remember you and your family and do as much as they can to help when needed. The community is well kept and well worth the money. I was pretty surprised by the cost at first, but when comparing properties in the area, I found many places that cost way more and come with fewer amenities. You cant put a price on safe parking and laundry in-unit! Those are very hard to come by in Long Beach! The maintenance staff is also very helpful and prompt! I believe the comfort and security is well worth the price!

Comment: Harbor view? More like a parking structure and hotel view honestly but the little you do see is nice. Place is clean, sometimes you have angry bitter neighbors but thats everywhere... its quiet but you will hear car alarms all night going off from parking lot and Im on 4th floor. Place has banquets room, theater and gym.
