Comment: I was greeted immediately when I walked in, I let the staff know. I was only there for a few things, but needed to take my son to the restroom first. As I was walking past the desk, Lady mumbled under her breath. They can’t just stop by to use the restroom. Once I did ask for assistance for a simple water regulator The employees had no knowledge of what they were talking about and never came back to tell me if they had the item I was looking for. This is One of the few places you can go to for recreational vehicle parts and accessories. Expect to be looked At by the staff like they own the place, and given mediocre service.

Comment: My husband & I went here with the idea that we were just going to look around and get more information and get an idea of what we were getting our self into, but then we met the Camping World sales reps and instantly knew we wanted to do business with them! Nick Morgan, sales rep and his sales manager, along with his team made it all worth the while! We closed the deal and we got to bring the traveling trailer home within the same day. They had their whole team working to make it all happen! The service crew did an amazing job getting it all fixed and serviced to make sure it was ready to bring home and gave us the best walk through of our new traveling trailer. They made sure we were comfortable with every decision that needed to be made and not once did we feel rushed. As first time buyers we definitely had the best experience and would 100% recommend this amazing team!

Comment: It was a lengthy process and got more expensive each week after the deposit. But I honestly couldnt do it all my myself if I wanted to. They did everything to get it set up and had the man power to install a hitch, a 7 way wire and brake system onto my towing vehicle. As a first time rv buyer and someone that does not have a good back and knees to do the work that they did, Im glad that it was done all for me. Very happy with my purchase and feel Camping World deserves every penny helping me become a first time RVer. So happy with my purchase. Today I even parked my RV safely in the storage area like a pro for the first time ever with my moms help and no back up camera. I cannot wait to see my camper again Wednesday for our first ever 4-day camping trip. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. 5-star service. They all get the job done efficiently. My daughter, and I love our 2024 Coleman Lantern 17B and Camping World! 🏕 🌎 Thank you to the sales person, Scott, financing Lisa and Kelly and the service tech department!

They dont want your business.Example: I came in to buy a filter. Waited 10+ minutes behind someone at the counter/register. Two people trying to talk to him about interest rates. They couldnt acknowledge my existence or get someone to help me or even say sorry it will be a few more minutes. After about 10/15 minutes they had another cashier take me to the other side to help me. There was a line of about 4 people and he laughed i guess I lied. I cant help you over here then immediately started helping one of the other people. I left and put the filter on the counter. They had the attention to put it back immediately but not to acknowledge a customer. Thats where my husband came back in.Example 2:We asked about their broken dump station that had been closed for weeks. When we went in to ask they were upset we were bothering them. Its a part on order, it will be a few weeks. For a part. You can go across the street to Home Depot for. (And its already broken again). They were rude and had attitude and didnt like that we were there at all disrupting their day. God forbid you are a customer service industry. I mean holy f. 😳Not to mention the black mold growing all over the entrance. They painted over it, cheap fix. Its already showing through again. Comment: This place is honestly the worst. I wish I didnt have to bring my Fifth Wheel in here. They never call you back, they somehow cant put my name on their file instead of my wife so they never know who I am, they never give you realistic times, they forget they have certain parts on order. If you didnt call them and bug them they would literally never call you back. Last time I came in to have them do warranty work they broke my awning, said no worries we will order the parts, should be here in two weeks and here we are almost two months later and they wont return my calls and I have not heard a peep out of them. Overall my experience has been incredibly frustrating and I would not recommend them at all.Edit as of 1/3/24I wish I could leave this place multiple one star reviews for every single encounter that I have been there. I had an appointment today at 12 o’clock to bring my fifth wheel in for some warranty work before the warranty expires. It’s pouring down rain today so I called to ask if I could possibly move my appointment to tomorrow and they said that I was not even on the calendar. This is the second time that this has happened and I made the appointment almost 2 months ago. It absolutely infuriates me, and they are not sympathetic at all to all of their screw ups and I spent all day yesterday getting it ready to bring it in as my wife and I live in it full-time. I wish I could give this place zero stars.Edit as of 2/15/24Changing my review to 3 stars because I finally had a great experience here working with Trystan Junge. For the first time taking my RV there they did everything they said they were going to do and Trystan kept me updated all the way through the process. It was finally a breath of fresh air to work with Trystan. He was great throughout the whole process. If you decide you are going to bring your coach in here I’d highly suggest asking for Trystan.

Comment: I do like the Jayco product so Ive bought a number of trailers from Camping World and Richardsons over the years. The good news, they are consistent. Theyve proven to be great at selling the units and horrible at follow up, service and everything else following the sale. They do have a great selection of product (ill give them that), but they dont focus on customer service at all! Youre a VIP guest as long as you are in the purchasing phase, but the second you drive off the lot, youre nothing to them. Ive waited 6-7 months for them to provide me with items that were due when I bought my last trailer.Some advise. Do NOT take your trailer/motorhome off their lot if anything is wrong. Make sure you go through everything with a fine tooth comb during your PDI/Orientation. Its the only time they will prioritize your trailer. They will fix it quickly so they can cash in on the sale, but after that its a long wait to get some of the worst service youll experience. Ive dropped my trailers off for weeks/months only to get the call its done and they didnt even touch the problem. I had to eventually fix it myself. I also spent $4k to fix a slide at a shop 1.5hrs away even though my trailer is under warranty. I have no confidence in their technicians and their service advisors are just as bad...including the woman they have checking you in and scheduling your appointment.The only good thing I would say is if you know what you are doing, know what you are looking for and are handy enough to deal with most of the small/medium size issues that will arise with trailer ownership, their selection of product is top notch and I never usually feel pressured during my visits. I also have enjoyed dealing with their finance person Lisa. I feel like shes the only one Ive dealt with there that cares.

Comment: I brought my trailer in August for repairs that were covered under warranty. I went to pick it up and noticed a pillow for the dinette was missing. I addressed the issue to Dave who was defensive. He kept stating we didnt take it. I explained to him that I wasnt accusing them of taking it and that it was probably misplaced. After going back and forth and eventually getting nowhere, a manager said they would replace it. I emailed Dave approximately 3 weeks ago and he said it has not come in. I emailed him again on 15 Dec and as of today 22 Dec he has still not replied to me. The service department is very unprofessional and Im surprised these people still have their jobs. Im still waiting for the pillow.

Comment: Worked with a good salesman agreed on a sale price and then everything went down hill from there. Ended up paying 3k more than agreed on sale price, aside from all the extra fees. Then when the time came to pick up it took 5 techs 4 hours to tell me they couldn’t figure out how to get my new truck to tow the trailer and to take the truck back to the dealership to get diagnosed. Went home and noticed that they damaged my port connector, tried talking to them and really didn’t resolve anything. Sleazy sales tactics and horrible techs. Comment: I was very pleased with my visit to the Menifee Camping World location. From my first visit just wanting to see some of the campers I had seen online all the way to my decision to purchase a camper, I was happy. The store portion is clean and inviting and the lounge area was well kept. Joe was great, we waited for him to be called up and show us the campers. Since on the door leading to the lot it clearly states to have a staff member with you for safety and insurance purposes. I told him I had some very specific requests and he was able to show me the campers I wanted to see and then showed me some that were either used or slightly different but still held the spirit of what my requests were. He was kind and patient and no pushy car salesman business at all. Which I appreciated. I actually left after getting to see the campers I wanted to and his suggestions and decided to come back later with my mil who would be the one ultimately using the camper the most. She liked it after Joe and I showed her around and explained everything. Again he was very patient. Then we went in and talked business. He made the whole process seamless and took the time to explain our options and helped us come up with a game plan. We got some paper worked signed and then bam off to finance. Lisa was great and even was able to squeeze us in for a Saturday pickup which she said they dont really do. We came in Saturday and did our walk through. We got to see Joe again and bam. We got out camper delivered for free too. Amazing. I believe the second portion of the financing dept was named Kelly she explained everything with their packages and all of that which was very helpful. Every single person we spoke to during this transaction was happy and kind and helpful. I cannot speak for the other reviews on here. But I would like to say. These recreational vehicles are exactly that recreational. They are ment to be maintained and cared for even more than a home. They are a house on wheels. To think they wont have more issues or repairs is just silly. Everything is made out of a lightweight material and will most likely have issues. My recommendation would be to make a list of the maintenance for items that need weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections or repairs and do them. These RVs get transported and delivered to these different locations. Please give this Menifee location a chance. They are trying!!!

My budget was two thousand dollars. After finding around 35$,worth of supplies I stood around waiting in front of the cash register for help. Store agents passed by, the guy at the front desk looked up twice then kept looking at his phone. Another agent passed by drinking coffee, looked at me looked away and proceeded to carry a conversation with the front desk. Comment: Service department is awful. Dropped my trailer off at the beginning of October, was told I would be contacted the following week. After two and a half weeks went by I started calling, could not get ahold of my service advisor Sandra until I asked the receptionist for the manager. Then I’m told they couldn’t find the issue but I need to pay $5000 to replace the roof (on the trailer I bought just over a year prior). Then she had me contact Jayco warranty to make a claim for it. They denied it stating it wasn’t structural and I never heard from Sandra again until I again asked to speak with a manager. Then she told me to pick it up Monday and didn’t even touch one of the work orders I requested. I bought from Richardsons because everyone said how awful Camping World is… Then they bought Richardsons and showed me that everyone was right… I will not go back to camping world and I will never buy another Thor/Jayco product again…

They lack of communication is unreal to the point that it has deterred me from making a purchase from their sales department on a used Motorhome just imagining having to deal with the service department. When calling, updates are never available. Callbacks take about 3 days to get back to you, and there is no response to emails. Is this the new industry standard? Not good business practice.

I walked the whole lot while I saw the salesmen drive other customers around in golf carts, not one stopped to see if I had a question or needed assistance. At the end of the lot the I was greeted by a lady writing on the campers and a forklift operator. I looked inside their new trailers and was not impressed. A lot of defects for them to be new. Comment: Horrible experience here. Purchased (a very expensive) trailer from here, and once I brought it home, the screen door was ripped. The shower door was broken, causing the water to leak every time it was used. To make matters worse, the sofa chairs it came with were broken, and the table it comes with that youre able to set up when you remove the bed was not even the correct table that goes on top of the tubes . Once I took it to get fixed, I left it there for TWO months and once picked up NOTHING was fixed AT ALL. The screen was still ripped. The sofa chairs are still not done & the wrong size table is still there. Its unbelievable so sad that we pay so much money for things like this to happen. Worst of all, though, they sweet talk you into buying it with all these guarantees, but once purchased the people you talk to hide when you try to call and explain to them the issues youre having.

Comment: I bought a new camper trailer and had the extended stay package along with having the ceramic coating applied.I go to pick it up and the trailer is completely filthy.Mattress was still in the cover how did ceramic coating get applied to thaScratches and construction marks throughout the entire trailer on the ceiling and walls.Window blinds do not close all the way.And on the bottom of the Queen size bed a crack in the wood.You start asking questions and they direct you to service before you even get off of the parking lot.Tried to contact the general manager multiple times and still today have not talked to anyone in regards to all the issues a customer had in regards to buying a trailer at their property.Buyer beware.

Comment: I wish I could read it zero stars. I had a slide leak and took it to Camping World Menifee to have it fixed. The bubble seal on the top of the slide was not compressing, thus leaking. Camping world said it was a caulking issue and not covered under warranty so I had them fix it. Camping world said they had leak tested the slide and it no longer leaked. Fast forward a few months and the slide leaks. I had an independent repair person look at the issue and they said it is a bubble seal issue that should’ve been covered under warranty (now expired). Camping World refuses to refund my money for the incomplete repair job. I’ll be taking them to small claims court.

Comment: The worst customer service I have ever seen! We made an appointment to have some warranty work done on our one-year old KZ connect trailer on March 23rd. We were told the first available appointment was May 12th. On May 10th we were notified that we would have to reschedule for May 25th due to no space to park our trailer on the Camping World lot. This was just the beginning of our 4 month nightmare dealing with Camping World and our service advisor Stephanie. We were lied to several times. We left voice mails and emails that were ignored and never answered. Stephanie told us our parts were ordered and when I checked with the manufacturer KZ, I was told that Camping World had not ordered any parts for our trailer. This is just one example.We had an appointment to pick-up our trailer at 1:00 on September 8th. We arrived at 12:30 and were told by Stephanie that our trailer was being washed right then and to have a seat in the waiting room. After checking with service several times our trailer was supposedly ready at 2:30. When inspecting our trailer we found the inside filthy with sawdust in the sinks, on the floor and on our bedroom mattress. We found our trailer battery dead and also was missing a locking door on our outside water connection bay. When I asked Stephanie what had happened to the door? She stated that a tornado had came thru the lot a few days prior and had probably blown the door off. She stated that Camping World would replace the door. That was over a week ago and I am still waiting for confirmation that the door has been ordered.When I told Stephanie that I was going to write a bad review, she stated that she didnt care!I only wish the review scale had a zero on it, because that is where I would score Camping World!Dissatisfied customer

They said it would be fixed in warranty. A number of other items needed fixing and they fixed most of them. Theyve had it twice since I purchased it. First time for three months, second time for ninety days. The last time they did the same fix on the shower and told me that that was the repair standard and they wouldnt be fixing it again. This was a problem from the day we bought it.In addition, they told me the comprehensive warranty I was sold as a two year term is only one year and the extended bumper to bumper warranty was actually only for major issues. That fee covered them going through the trailer making sure everything work everything is fixed new mattresses. They also agreed to put the distribution hitch on We signed our docs and left. Expecting them to get a hold of us within a couple days to schedule delivery after the trailer was inspected clean and gone through after 2 1/2 weeks we still hadn’t heard from camping world I reached back out to our sales person Jake after Jake looked into the situation. He got back to me, saying that they basically dropped the ball on basically forgot about us. He reassured me to give him a time and a date he would make sure it was delivered that time and date. and that everything will be done. fix working in a good shape, including the distribution hitch. on inspection of the trailer after delivery. none of these things were done. No distribution hitch outside storage doors not locking trailer dirty it was like all they did. Was Mickey Mouse everything together. The Manager Mike is completely unprofessional, issued threats to me that he would not complete things needed that they kept dropping the ball on if I didn’t give a good review. Service Manager Tony did nothing that he said he would do. They said they would clean it and have it detailed it’s filthy, it was there for warranty repairs and they gave me only one couch, trashed the whole camper and kept it for six months with excuse after excuse as to why something was delayed or not done. People would hang up, never return calls, I was always respectful and understanding and time and time again we got pushed around and trampled on again and again. They charged my mom $700 when she picked it up when it shouldn’t have cost anything and stuck her with a trashed and dirty fifth wheel camper in worse shape than when she dropped it off and only gave her one couch! There is too much to fit or explain thoroughly enough to talk about how atrocious the service was here and how they treat people, talk to people, treat their belongings or time. If I could give zero stars and still have you see this review I would.

All of the other places had no clue as what we were looking for. The usual answer was they dont make a dog bone plug like that( even though they have it on their website). Now, for the guy at the parts counter, he was the laziest personnel next to Bakersfield workers. We had a blowout and need a metal J panel and fender for our 2020 arctic wolf. He said that he was going on vacation and he would leave it for his manager, who came in on Monday. This was Saturday the 15th of July 2023. We had everything he needed to look up the parts he was just downright, the second laziest worker that works for camping world. The first thing they asked for was my drivers license. I was hesitant to give it to them, but I did so anyway because I thought it was necessary to look at the motorhomes.After I gave them my license, they told me that I would need to sit down with a salesperson and go over financing before I could look at any of the motorhomes. We had to wait until beginning of 06/22 to bring it in, most things were fixed in the 3 months they had it except they never fixed the water heater and now the propane is leaking as well! I called and spoke to the manager due to the switch in management change and them never fixing the problem they got me in within 2 weeks and then canceled my appointment the day of! I have never been able to use my trailer to it’s full potential after spending almost 40k on this thing and I can’t even have my children in it safely! Do not buy from this place!!! We purchased a Bushwacker teardrop that has many issues that are considered cosmetic and are not covered by the extended warranty which we understand. However, an AC that poars water everytime we run it since the day we purchased it should be covered. We called the service department before hand to verify it was covered since we were driving from San Diego and didnt wanna waste our time and fuel. After arriving, Michael straight up said that it wouldnt be covered since its a maintenance issue (without even looking at it). Comment: Richardson’s is absolutely terrible in customer service. They tell you anything and everything to get your business. As soon as you sign the paperwork, you are nothing to them anymore. I bought a 2022 Voltage Triton 5th wheel and it immediately had problems. Richardson’s guarantees they get you in immediately to service when you purchase through them. Complete lie. Then they try to blame it on COVID. Well, if Covid-19 really is the cause then stop telling your sales associates to use that guarantee in their sales pitch! My voltage has been in the service department for close to 2 months now and I never hear updates from them. I have to call every week to hear the same thing. Their communication is terrible. It’d be nice to hear back when you tell the person we’ll have more information in a couple days. Overall, Richardson’s is not the place to buy from. Do more research and go elsewhere.Ive been currently working with Tony, but its not just him. The entire service department is lacking.

Comment: This morning we were leaving on a trip and blew a trailer tire. It shredded wires near it. We stopped in right when Richardsons opened and Tony was able to have a mechanic, Deandre, look at it immediately and reassured us it was just wires to running lights and that it could be fixed later and that we were safe to get back on the road. I cannot thank them enough. This is the second time Tony saved us! Thank you so very much!!

Comment: I dont normally write one star reviews but after two very negative experiences with the parts department, I have to.The most recent time I came in looking for a toilet. The person at the front desk just dropped a catalog at the desk and said look through it. He walked away and never checked in again. Another guy walked out and I asked him for help. He told me he didnt know how much the toilets displayed were or if they were even in stock. He said he would go check.I waited out by the counter for about fifteen minutes. No one came out and I never heard anything from either of the people who I talked to.I ordered a toilet on Amazon and walked out the door. There is no consideration for the customers time or interests.FYI... Research yourself, buy parts on Amazon, or go elsewhere. Its not worth it to go here.

Comment: Richardson’s RV is a dealership that does not value or take care of its customers.We bought a 2021 Jayco Class C motor home in March 2021. After only two trips, we noticed the air pressure in one of our back tires getting low. We inspected the tire and found a tire plug in the side wall of one of the brand new tires on the rig. We immediately called Richardson’s to document what we found and took pictures. After some run around on the phone and through email, we stopped in to speak to them in person. Not only do they not take responsibility for the safety issue, they heavily implied that we were the ones who did it. This dealership sold us a brand new motor home after it traveled 2200 miles from the factory without inspecting the tires, a critical component to the safety of a motorized vehicle. They admitted that they don’t inspect the tires and “probably should.” All we want is a replacement tire, as someone either with the transport company or at Richardson’s plugged that tire. Since there is no “documentation” of this in their notes, Richardson’s refuses to make it right and even say the only option is to contact Jayco under the warranty, which they also admitted was unlikely to do anything.It is disheartening that a dealership that is as big as Richardson’s lacks the integrity to do the right thing by their customers and take care of an important safety issue that could have resulted in something much worse than asking for a replacement tire.ETA--To the business owner: we have dealt with Tony A in service, Mike Billingsly (service manager) and an older, white haired man who said he was a sales manager (didnt get his name). I will not leave my contact number here. Tony and Mike know how to get in contact with my husband and I, if you actually care to do the right thing to resolve this situation.

Comment: Im very disappointed with the lack of help you get when facing a problem with your trailer. I purchased a Vortex toy hauler 4/23/21. One months ago. Made plans to take it to the lake made reservations and prepared for the weekend. But to my surprise one day before the propane alarm kept going off so I called customer service spoke with Michelle then transferred to Tony he told me that it could be that the battery is low so I checked it while on the phone with him and told him that the battery was fully charged that we haven’t used the trailer so his next suggestion was to change the battery and try it again and that was his help. So I decided to go purchase a new battery thinking that would fix the problem but it didn’t so I decided to take the fuse off and just take it to the dealer the next day before heading to the lake. When I get there and told my problem to Michelle another technician was there and told me that it could just be defective to schedule an appointment to get it fixed he didn’t even bother taking a look at the problem no consideration from him or Michelle very poor customer service. The office was full of technicians just talking it didn’t seem that they were busy at all. The only thing Michelle helped me was to schedule an appointment until July. Once you make purchase they don’t care about you.

Comment: Bought a 2021 Toy Hauler back in December 2020. So far have only been able to take it out once for Xmas & that weekend trip turned into a one night stay because the generator wouldnt stay running for more than an hour. After spending a month or so researching & trying small simple remedies I went ahead & gave service a call & scheduled an appointment. Theres 6 defects total, but the generator was my main concern because a busted generator renders a toy hauler almost useless. Took 4 weeks to get an opening for service drop-off. Then it sat in service for 5 or 6 weeks before I needed to use it for work because I travel for work a lot. Picked it up yesterday & the only thing that had been fixed was the door lock, which wasnt even fixed when I got there. I had to spend another hour at the dealer waiting for the band aid repair that was done. Service rep told me the generator was fixed & tested, but I took it home ran the generator for about 20 mins, & sure enough, it cut off & displayed the same code it was displaying before it went in for repair. Worst vehicle buying experience Ive ever had. Spent $60k on a trailer i havent been able to use... At this point Im thinking of hiring a lemon law attorney. I would NOT recommend buying here.

Comment: I purchased a Jayco Eagle 5th wheel from this dealership in Menifee on July 2019. It has been more than one and a half year. I waited this long to write my opinion about my experience with dealership as it is long enough to have experience specially dealing with service department. During this time I visited the service at least 8 to 10 times mostly issues covered by warranty.Little about sales department. I did lot of research on internet and also visited lots of dealership in the area. I made my appointment with David McKie. He was very patient and knowledgeable and was Able answer all my questions. The unit we bought did not had fireplace. He assured me he can get it installed and will be in the unit when I come for inspection. I will not mention the price as they quoted me less than what I was expecting.Well I have all the praise for David and his Manager Lonnie who made the process very comfortable.Now inspection and service.During inspection dealership gave more than enough time to go thru and understand each subsystem such plumbing, appliances, structural issues and lot more.After inspection several thing were still needed to be fixed. Sandra was assigned my service manager. She gave service appointment after 7 days. On that day she was ready and take care of the issues and did all the paperwork promptly. Ever since every time new issue showed up she gave me quick appointment and tried her best to get the issue resolved.We are very happy and love the trailer as it has everything we were hoping for. Headed to Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana.So far I have great admiration for the sales and service department. During this time I also called Jayco directly about certain issues and they answered very professionally.So far luckily my vehicle is performing well. Not much but probably put almost 10000+ miles and happy with the performance.I will definitely recommend this dealership to a new perspective buyer.

Comment: First things first, I love my trailer. The review has nothing to do with the trailer but is based 100% on the customer service of Richardsons RV.I purchased the trailer in July 2020 and the process was relatively smooth. However, when I came to pickup the trailer it was missing a mattress for one of the two bunks. Richardson staff said I could take the trailer and they would order the mattress and let me know when it comes in. Its been over three months now and not only do I not have my mattress, nobody is willing to tell me when I may have it, and nobody ever calls me back. This is extremely frustrating.If the mattress issue wasnt enough we also had some electrical issues. After our first night camping the entire trailer lost power, the house battery died despite being connected to shore power the entire time. I brought the trailer into Richardson and told them about the problem and said it had to be something with the converter. They kept it for a day and call me back saying nothing was wrong and the battery must have just been dead when it was sold. So I purchased a new battery (they wouldnt even charge the old battery for me) and did some testing with the trailer at home. The battery still wasnt being charged when connected to shore power.I called back only to get an extremely rude lady in the service department who immediately told he they couldnt do anything for 3 months, all booked up. I told her it was a warranty issue with a brand new trailer (2 week from purchase) and she was no help. So I went to the store and after pleading my case to three different people someone finally offered to help. Turned out they didnt ground the converter so it wasnt working, took 30 mins to fix. Did the problem get fixed, yes. However, I had to take my trailer in twice, troubleshoot everything myself, push past 3-4 different people to finally to someone who was willing to look at it. Couldnt have been a worse customer experience issue.Hopefully Ill get my missing mattress sometime before the two year warranty expires.....fingers crossed.

I guess it doesnt matter that I bought the unit brand new from them! Takes over a month to get an appointment and when I finally got the call my repair work was done, the issue looked worse than when I brought it in. Also, they left my light switch on and didnt plug in the coach so my batteries are completely dead, which is damaging to the expensive batteries. Comment: I purchased an 80k 5th wheel toy hauler from this dealership two years ago, at the Pomona RV Show. When the trailer was delivered I found some repaired structure damage to the overhang that was not disclosed during the sales process. I was told by an independent mechanic that “it’s kind of a common thing.” The repair job was ugly but the trailer seemed to function well so my wife and I decided to look past it. The first time we had our trailer in for repair at this dealership it took them three months to return it to us.In March of this year, the propane line busted somewhere inside the rig. I have made five attempts via voicemail and emails to contact someone to schedule a repair. It’s now July and I have yet to hear back. I’ve been paying $400 a month for five months now on an RV that we can’t use.If you’re in the market for an RV, just be forewarned that service repairs is a standard part of life for about the first two years of ownership, depending on how often you use your rig. I strongly suggest looking for a dealership with a much higher rating and better reviews related to their service center. My wife and I are now in the market for a motor home due to our family increasing in size and exceeding the seating capacity of my truck. We have our eyes set on a reputable Jayco dealership in Northern California. It’s about a 5 hour drive, but I’d much rather double the drive time and give our money to a place that has a reputation for taking good care of their customers.

Comment: So, I bought a truck that had fifth wheel bed rails preinstalled, but the rails werent grooved right for the hitch that I already had. Rails are cheap so no big deal. We talk to the parts department (And the rep was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful) He found the rails I needed for $90.Enter the service Rep: He walks us to the truck, sees our rails, and then spends 15 minutes telling us that our entire setup was proprietary(it clearly wasnt) and that new brackets and a hitch would cost upwards of $2000 after installation. We argue with him, and he proceeds to lie to our faces three different times. We werent about to be taken for a ride so we drove to a nearby mechanic and had our $90 rails installed for another $280.One of two things happened. Either they hired an incompetent mechanic, or it is their policy to employ dishonest tactics to get everyday people like you and I to waste our hard-earned money. Either way, you dont want their hands on your gear.

Comment: Had to return to Richardsons RV for repair work on my 5fer. Exhaust hanger broke and connection to shore power stopped working. Appt. easily setup with Alma. Met with Sandra (service advisor) and we did a walk through of the concerns I had. Sandra did a little trouble shooting of her own then brought in a couple of other RV technicians to evaluate. RV techs and Sandra explained to me the shore power issue and that it would be covered under warranty and work order would be submitted for repairs. Sandra asked if I had any trips coming up (which I do) and she assured me Richardsons RV would try their best to keep me on schedule for my trip. I know they are busy and I appreciate their concerns for my needs. Dont know why for the poor ratings other than people find it easier to complain than reward. Comment: We recently purchased a brand new 2019 Jayco travel trailer. We didnt notice a couple minor issues, and a couple major ones, until our first short trip out.The minor issues were things like missing screws in trim pieces, dicor missing on corrugated sides where we feared rain could damage the trailer, etc.The two major issues we found were that the gray water tank sensor wasnt working (which caused a backup into the shower) and the axle looks bent.On March 28th after the trip we called to make an appointment which wasnt available for 7 weeks on May 17th.We took it in May 17th and explained all of the issues. After weeks and weeks of back and forth between service writers and service managers regarding the various problems, what might be covered by warranty, etc. we find out they hadnt even started any of the work as of June 23rd. This whole time was playing phone tag, not getting updates on the status in a timely manor, and talking to different people each time. We have a summer trip planned so we got more aggressive with the phone calls and update requests and they said they would have it ready the following Saturday (June 30th). We picked it up July 1st and were not happy.They charged over $500 for brake repairs (the brake shoe adjuster/tensioner was bad from the factory) because brakes arent covered by Jayco warranty, NOR the extended warranty acquired at time of purchase.They charged over $200 for one of the minor repairs that we didnt approve as non-warranty work. The 7-pin plug was a little chewed up and we wanted that done as warranty work. Apparently it wasnt approved by Jayco or the extended warranty, but they charged us over $200 for that ($49 for a $25 part, and $170 for an hours worth of labor). We didnt approve that work to be done as any of the issues we considered minor we would have done ourselves had they not been covered.Throughout the process we were assured the brakes were going to be covered since they werent correct from the factory. We didnt approve the 7-pin work either. And we also walked with service people on the lot to show them the difference between the axle on our unit and the other Baja edition trailers, but they wouldnt even acknowledge a problem.Once home we filled the gray tank to see if the sensor worked. The gray sensor still reads empty when water is overflowing. Apparently all they did was replace the control panel, but did NOTHING with the tank sensor itself.Also, once home my wife noticed they must have lightly scuffed the awning. You can see a little mark and when you extend the awning you can see a little bit of light through it so we know thatll wear out sooner than it should and will need a repair.Long story short (TL;DR;) Dont walk away from Richardsons, RUN.UPDATE: Their response is a joke. Of course its not their decision on warranty repairs, but they should help be an advocate of the consumer. They preformed work that was unauthorized, and wouldnt release the trailer until we paid. Not to mention, they took weeks to do anything at all, under warranty or otherwise. STAY AWAY FROM RICHARDSONS!

Comment: If you could avoid staying away please do so my wife and I went 2 get our slide out on our coach fixed and all it needed was about three hours of work those 3 hours became a nightmare it was a trim issue that helps the slide out slide in and out you would think not all that complicated simple well unfortunately thats where the nightmare began they told us they had the part in stock and then they didnt and they kept our coach for a month after spending $2,500 in a motel because we are full-time rvers we spend an additional $875 for a simple repair and there was no consideration whatsoever they constantly kept making up stories about the status of the part our service consultant Sandra had no idea what was going on aside from that she had a very horrible attitude I felt like she was doing me a favor wow I dont know what to say and the upper management wasnt any help whatsoever if I had an employee like that I would have let him or her go the first day so please dont experience what has happened to us I dont wish that on anyone I I still wish them the best and God bless

Comment: I took my new 5th wheel toy hauler to Richardsons Menifee for factory repair work. The heater was not working in the bedroom, parts of the floor were coming up and some other minor repair work needed to be done. They had my 5th wheel for three months, fixed the floor but nothing else. While it was there they crashed something in to it causing damage. No problem, they will fix it right? No, I just picked it up and all they did was replace a decal they damaged without fixing the paint. Ill never return to this place. On top of all of this, I paid $150 for a wash / detail and when I picked my trailer up they didnt even dry it so when I did get home it had water spots all over it. Two trips there, two let downs.Edit:I dont own a Mercedes or a Jayco. You guys cant even get a response to a negative review right.

Comment: Run from Richardson RV!My daughter and son in law bought a trailer from them, less than a year ago. It’s a trailer that they live in. There has been leak, that no one was aware of, and the bottom part of the trailer dropped, you could clearly see a very visible stream of water and the insides of the trailer bottom.Richardson RV has had my daughter’s trailer for two weeks. They are claiming they have searched the entire trailer and water tanks and cannot find the leak, so they are just gonna fix the damage and hope the leak does not show back up! Um, seriously? So your solution is let’s just band-aid the problem and wait till it destroys the trailer and hopefully the warranty will be done by then and not your problem? Is that the deal?Furthermore, my daughter and her husband have homeowner’s insurance that will pay for them to stay at a home while the trailer is being fixed, all they need is for Richardson RV to send them an email with photos of the RV and the hotel coverage kicks in. Two weeks Richardson RV has had the trailer and they have not taken the five minutes that it will take to send the pictures via email to the insurance company. My daughter, who has Still’s Disease and Fibromyalgia, has been sleeping on her mother-in-law’s couch for two weeks now. It is unbelievably painful for my daughter to have to sleep on a couch. But hey, I guess that’s ok with Richardson RV that my daughter is in excruciating pain, so long as they don’t have to literally lift some fingers and type and send an email with photos grrrrrr.I have told my daughter and son-in-law that they need to get an attorney and sue for the cost of the trailer and any costs they have incurred through this nightmare. I truly hope they do get an attorney.Run, at top speed, as fast as you can, from Richardson RV.

Comment: Richardsons was great to work with. This is my first RV. I work out of town during the week and I was very busy leading up to this purchase. I did all of my research online. I visited the dealership once to look at the model I was interested in and actually touch the quality. I corresponded with my sales agent via text while out of town, this was very helpful. After financing through my credit union I came on down and did a PDI and walk through. I highly recommend working with Richardsons RV.

Comment: I am beyond upset with the service department. Our 2019 Genesis Supreme 33ck has had nothing but problem after problem and havent even had it for a year. This is the 3rd or 4th time it has been in service. I am not even going to list all the issues, but as of right now something is leaking from the bathroom down into the storage and dripping water through the flooring and wood and they say they cant replicate it and figure out what the problem is. I asked if they turned the shower, sink and toilet from the bathroom and no one knows anything. Really!!!! Why am I spending $50,000 on this thing. I have even contacted Rodrigo from genesis and hasnt been much help and doesnt do what he says hes going to do. I am so fed up to say the least!!! I have seen similar previous reviews so it looks like there is a track record.

Comment: Gunny was our Sales Consultant and he was amazing. Since the moment we got there, we told him exactly what kind of RV we were looking for, and he showed us several that met our needs. We found one that was spacy enough and had bedding for our family of five. They went above and beyond to help us trade in our smaller RV for a bigger one. They worked very fast and were very accommodating. They were able to close out the deal in just a few days, all while we were out here on our camping trip! Ohh and did I mention they allowed us to stay at their location for a few nights while we swapped over everything from our old trailer to the new!! We are very satisfied with the experience we received!

First off I cant stand it when someone tries to sale me something they want. When told him what I was looking for he proceeded to tell and show me something he wanted for me. Unmoved by anything I was asking, I finally told him in so many ways that I dont like it when salesmen think they knows whats best for me. He proceeded to verbalize his resume of 30 + year and he was shy about knocking my dream (tt) travel trailer tell me its the worst trailer on the lot.....thanks a lot Peter Ive been dreaming about this trailer for over two years. Comment: The overall experience with Richardson’s RV was poor.Purchase of the Trailer: During the process of negotiating with the sale person over the prices, she would state over and over again “you are looking to buy too much coach.” That was not the case, was just looking to not pay too much. Once we agreed on a price, it took over a week for the trailer to be ready for pick up.Purchase agreement and walk through: The walk through was good. The gentlemen that I worked with as respectful and helpful. During the walk through, we noticed that the posts for the tables were missing. Signing the documents was a good experience. The lady I worked with was very nice and working with her was easy.Receiving the missing table posts: This was a major hassle. I was told when I received the trailer that the posts would be ordered. A couple of days later, I followed up on the posts and the lady I spoke to was rude stating, “I will call you when they arrive.” After a week, I follow up with the trailer manufacturer. I was disappointed to find out that they had not been ordered. I was then contacted by Richardson’s, they apologized and shared that they had been ordered. A week later they called me to come and pick up my table posts. When I opened the box, they were the wrong ones. Just yesterday they called me and asked, “are you ever going to pick up you table posts?” I was taken back by how rude they were to me. I let them know that I was waiting for them to call me to let me know that they had arrived. She said well we left you a message. I have not been able to locate this mysterious message. The only reason I was able to get the table posts was by working with the manufacturer. I am sure if it was left up to Richardsons I would still be waiting.I would not recommend Richardson’s to anyone. They are aggressive in sales and like any stereotypical dealership, the second you agree to purchase, they treat you terribly. They have poor follow up and I will never purchase another trailer from them again.Update: Recently took the trailer in for warranty work. Had about 8 items on the list. I demostrated the issues during drop off. When I returned to pick up the trailer, they only correct 3 of the items stating they found no issues on the rest. When I expressed concern over those items not being completed, they called me a jerk!Avoid this place, do not buy a trailer there. You will be diappointed.

Comment: Let me start by saying that I visited all of the dealers in the San Diego and surrounding areas over the past year or so. I was looking for a specific floorplan - rear lounge, walk through bath, and a bed you could walk around. I didnt want poor quality as I have grown up around trailers my whole life and know the difference and have even built a custom built Teardrop from the ground up.We ventured out from dealer to dealer once again on this day starting in Southern San Diego. I wasnt finding exactly what I (we) wanted. It told the husband that I wanted to look at the Jayco 28RLS one last time to see if that was the route we were going. The Temecula store didnt have it and it was showing a leftover or used one in Menifee so off we went.We arrived and walked into the showroom and instantly greeted by a young man named Riley Morgan. I told him exactly what I was looking for as my husband walked off to browse around. Riley looked up on the handheld computer to see what was in stock. He invited me to go out and look at the trailer that they had but found out it had been moved to the Riverside lot. I then asked if there were any other rear lounge models and at that point my husband showed up. Nothing else in stock...all bunkhouse models and such.Husband said there is one over here in the used lineup so we all took a walk that direction while I was feeling slightly let down by the inventory I was specifically looking for. I walked around the corner and said where is it...husband pointed to the unit and I said that he was nuts...that is a new high end trailer that I had never heard of! I entertained looking at it because I could see it had a bedroom slide, (ended up being a 9 sliding closet at 24 deep!)I peeked inside and went up the steps with Riley following behind me. I walked over to the kitchen, turned around a couple of times and said to Riley this cant be, not possible as husband and I not 2 hrs before stated that we would know the coach as soon as we walked in. I was shocked!! I looked at the rest of the coach and it fit us exactly!! It is a 2016 CruiserRV Viewfinder 29RLDS, the last year the Viewfinder was built. Found out later it retailed new for $47,000 and was just 3 years old.Price was next...it was at the high end of our budget. We sat down with Riley and he drew up what all dealers do...you know, that blank paper with the price on it and the cross of lines. Found out Riley is only 19, just out of high school and has several family members in the RV industry forever so he has grown up in the business.Husband said the price needed to be negotiated and a back and fourth three times led us to a sale of which we werent expecting them to match. We were in shock...it was right on budget and was to become our new trailer!!Financing was handled through Sarah and she was great to work with and got us an excellent deal within our own banking system...THANKS SARAH!!Nick handled our walk-though on the day of pickup and was very thorough and handled anything that needed to be repaired and any questions we had.I have to say our experience at Richardsons RV in Menifee was a 100% positive experience!! I would suggest others to go here to consider buying a trailer.I would 100% suggest that if you are part of the LGBT community that you definitely go and see Riley, he is an outstanding salesman that will listen to your needs and wont sell you something you dont want!! Comment: Let me please start out by saying that Chris is an absolute saint and pleasure to work with. He was accommodating at the drop of a hat and we couldnt be more pleased with him. Ryan, another manager, was great to work with as well. Both knowledgable and answered a hundred calls from me and my husband, as were first time trailer owners. Those men have the patience of saints! And the front receptionist, Stacy, is also amazing!With that being said.....my recommendation is to avoid the manager, Tom, at all costs. He is skeezy, conniving, and the epitome of a dirty salesman. After barking orders at everyone else to help us while he sat back, he continued to feed us line after line that made us even more annoyed. He wanted us to put a deposit on the trailer we were looking at before even letting us get inside of it, telling us that someone else would buy it before we would be able to see inside. We did put the deposit down because we really liked the unit. He passed us off to a few more people, and is still trying to collect the commission for everyone elses work. Thank God we got in touch with Chris. He has gotten us really squared away! Today our of the blue he texts my husband and begs us to make it in before oclock on a weekday. Then continues to badger him about how we cant come pick up our trailer on Saturday because he needs the commission before Christmas or he cant buy Christmas presents. AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, HE CANT EVEN CALL MY HUSBAND BY THE CORRECT NAME!!!! We work during the week and its almost impossible to make it down there before 4 without taking time off. He made us feel so uncomfortable and made himself look so bad. I will be showing all of the texts to management and even had to ask them to have him stop contacting us. I have called several time only to get a voicemail EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I even called as soon as they opened on a Tuesday...nope, no one will pick up a phone there! We purchased our trailer back in October. Sent the check to them 2 weeks before we took delivery. Went in on 11/3 to do our walk through and pick up the trailer. The delivery person was OK, could not answer a lot of our questions. The kicker was that he did not know to take the tables down before demonstrating the slides and ended up damaging the kitchen island. My husband was angry but they ASSURED us they would handle it by ordering the tape to fix it and have it mailed to us right away. Got a half assed Sorry for damaging a brand new trailer and ZERO compensation for it. Still have not received the tape and we still have not received the check for the refund they owe us for overcharging on the DMV fees and the drop hitch that we did not need. They wasted NO time in cashing the $41,000 check for the trailer but cant seem to send us what they promised....why would they now that they have their money. It seems all they really care about is making the sale and getting their money...after that, they are not there for you. I had planned on sending our friends to this location until I realized how poor their customer service is. Should have bought at GiantRV!!!

Comment: Nice enough place as far as the purchase went. Now 10 months later when I take it in for a warranty repair (generator wont start) there is a two month wait to get it looked at. Also had to come in twice to get the appointment as everyone was out to lunch at 2pm the first time. After reading all the other negative reviews of service department I am not looking forward to the experience. I would agree with others that it is a waste of time and money buying an extended warranty as they seem to have no sense of urgency in getting your work done. Hoping I feel better about it after the service is complete. Will post the results. This is for the Menifee Facility by the way.

Had an AMAZING buying experience with the sales and finance team unfortunately our first time out the whole underside of the toyhauler ripped off when I took it in without an apppointment for it to be fixed since it was not driveable I had the WORST experience of my life with the service manager and director. They were the rudest people I have ever dealt with in my life, even accusing my husband of wanting to fight them! I’m appalled by this experience, and just by the way their solution was to tape my $40,000 three week old toyhauler and send us on our way with a leaking fuel station to which their solution was “just don’t use it”. I admit was skeptical when I went to the dealership. My fears were unfounded. Great experience and great people. We started on the internet doing our shopping. We reached out via the internet for more information. We were contacted very quickly by Jessica M. who set us up for an appointment to look at Senecas we were interested in . Jessica lined us up with Chris Green who assisted us at looking at several Seneca models. Chris was very knowledgeable and patient in the process. We were back at the dealership two more times and on each occasion met with Jessica and Chris. Process went smoothly and we purchased our Seneca. From beginning to end the process exceeded our expectations.

Comment: After recently having taken in our Jayco travel trailer for a couple warranty issues it was also found that all the brakes hardware needed to be replaced at a tune of over $1,000. I stated that the trailer was only 1 year old and how that could be possible. I asked if it was certain it was not a warranty related failure and was basically told that it was related to a bad brake controller on our 2017 Ram 2500 diesel. They refused to even contact Jayco and was told to call them myself. I spoke to CJ the service manager about it and he tells me theres been a lot of problems with the integrated brake controllers on Rams and Tundras. Upon hours of research on the issue I did find some complaints by Ram owners about the brake controller but it was related to owners towing heavier 5th wheels and larger heavier trailers and the feeling of it not having enough stopping power. Not one complaint was related to prematurely wearing out the trailer brakes. Next I make appointment with Ram and yep, you guessed it, the brake controller is fine and basically told theyre not sure how an RV dealership can make that diagnosis to a specific brand of truck. I also had a problem with Richardsons techs incorrectly installing the weight distributing hitch since day one and had difficulty removing the trailer coupler from the ball without it dropping hard. Well on our last trip out it fell off hard causing the trailer to sway, and yes the wheels were blocked, causing the tongue jack to bend pretty bad. Now Im getting pretty frustrated as we are 500 miles away from home and late in the evening trying to find a mobile rv repair to come out and replace it. When I brought this up with CJ and Alan the tech looked at it and said it had one too many washers installed was throwing the ball off angle thus making it difficult to unhitch I asked for it to be rectified and have Richardsons cover my tongue jack he stated he didnt have the authority to make that call and to speak to Renato the service director. Now do you see where I am going with this guys? I speak to Renato and basically told sorry nothing we can do about it. It is a maintenance item. Wow!!! Having been a loyal customer of Richardsons and purchased our 3rd and LAST RV from them it is truly shameful that these dealers care about nothing else than making a sale. Customer service goes out the door afterwards. Btw, buyers beware with many of these RVs being built in these Indiana sweat shops. They are mostly pure junk coming off the assembly lines and if you count on Richardsons to take care of warranty items expect long waits to get your RV back and in my prior to last case the work not completed properly and literally waiting in the parking lot for it to be completed then having it returned completely filthy and wet! Youve been warned.

Comment: I went there to purchase an Extended Stay adapter for my RV propane tank. Rafael was very helpful! He saved me some money by telling me I didnt need an adapter. I was able to plug my hose/regulator directly into my external tank. Works like a charm. Thanks Rafael!

No phone calls for one month until I called and was given the run around. I was then told the mirror arrived broken and would take 2 weeks to reorder and instal. I asked for it to be expedited and was refused. Spoke with service manager. Now the mirror has been ordered (expedited) and will be in at some point. 2 weeks has turned into 2 months and counting. Comment: BE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME BUYER We found the fifth wheel model we fell in love with and quickly started searching the web to find it and for the best price. My husband spoke with Peter (very friendly and knowledgeable) over the phone multiple times and put down a deposit. We drove 550 miles to sun city to come get our fifth wheel. Dropped off the truck with Richardson’s to get the fifth wheel hitch installed no problem service was prompt. The next day we had our walk through. Immediately approaching the fifth wheel my husband found a large stress crack, major bummer. From there things just started to snowball, I could write a book but I’ll keep it short. Trailer was dirty inside and out, they claimed they detailed it but the trailer didn’t reflect that staff argues with my husband saying that’s just the way it is and we don’t know anything. My husband asked a few times before we arrived to hook and unhook the trailer so we would know how to properly do it and of course they didn’t help us out there and had their driver (having it taken to Primm, NV because we live in Oregon and don’t need to pay the tax) hook it up and drive off. 10 minutes form Primm at about 4pm a young lady from Richardson’s calls and tells us they have forgotten to put a piece on the hitch and it we connect without it the trailer will flip! Awesome. They sent out their service guy (super nice man probably very underpaid) who arrived at 8:30pm to install the part he was very apologetic and helpful. While we were in a parking lot waiting we tried to turn on the stereo and only the outside speakers worked. Lightbulb was out and a loud ringing noise started happening from the breaker box. Anyways I’ll just wrap this up and say they have the worst customer service. Don’t even try to inform them of anything or ask for advice on fixing anything that is broken because all they will do is point their finger back at you it’s a catch 22 tell them about something they didn’t notice and it is actually your fault for noticing.

Comment: Richardsons RV doesnt even deserve one star, but it doesnt give the option for rating a zero. We traveled from San Diego to Menifee to buy a travel trailer. We went there in good faith that they would take care of us. We felt good leaving the dealership, however after getting home we discovered that the brand new trailer Richardsons sold us was completely falling apart. I called to speak with the salesperson Marsh that got the commission from us and she quickly dismissed us. I then spoke to Kim Adams on the phone. She treated us as though we were over exaggerating. come to find out after sending numerous pictures our shower walls were warped and had to be replaced among many other things. Not something you would expect to find on a NEW trailer that hadnt been used. She was suppose to call us within two weeks so we could drive back up to Menifee to drop off the trailer for repairs. We never heard back from her! A month went by and still no word so we called and left numerous messages. No call back ever. Finally after two more days of calls we were able to get a hold of someone. Our parts had been in and they never called to let us know. We spoke with a manager Who was just as worthless as our salesperson Marsh and service lady Kim. He told us that was how Jayco made their products. Richardsons wasnt willingly to compensate us in anyway for selling us a piece of junk. We had to spend two different weekends driving back and forward from San Diego, cancel planned family camping trips, and put unnecessary wear and tear on our vechicle. I have never witnessed a company that displayed more unprofessionalism or piss poor customer service as Richardsons. If, you are looking to purchase any type of RV do yourself a favor and go to a dealership with some actual class.

Comment: We bought our trailer here a year ago, and it was the worst experience. Yesterday, we went there to inquire about a loud boom that occurs in our gas tank on occasion. A sales person told us it was probably a colapsed vent. When we asked if we needed to see service to schedule an appointment to have it fixed, we were told by the sales person to Look it up on YouTube, and she abruptly walked away. Really??!! We were not provided service personnel to answer any questions for us or to explain what a collapsed vent even meant. The most unprofessional people and the worst service from day one.We will not give these people one more dime of our money for service, aftermarket products, supplies, or any future purchases.

Comment: I would never buy from them ever again. There customer service is treble. The owner Mr. Richardson was no help. Our new 5th wheel sat in service longer then we were able to use it. Over a year of this. When it was repaired it was half hearted done. They would lie about the status and work done. The carpet that was replaced in the bed room that was damaged by a broken hydraulic line on our second trip out. When replaced didnt match the rest of the coach. They tried to tell me it looked fine when it obviously didnt, they finely replaced the rest. And i had to replace the line. They the manufacturer wanted me to drive 300 miles to get it repaird. From the sierras. Another thing water would pour into the rv from the slide out and water heater leaked they couldnt fix after all the times i brought it back. So i lemone law it. A new one was built and delivered. And damaged the rear quarter panel. Yes, they lied to me about that too, i found out after going down there because some thing seemed wrong. Thats when i met mr. Richardson. There is so much more i could say, i hope you get the point. The worst, most expensive and disapointing experience ever! Im back in the market sold 5 months ago, had for 6 years. ill look and will buy somewhere else. There loss.

Comment: So we purchased our trailer at the Temecula sales and our salesman was great, so gave them 5 stars at that location! So then our trailer went to Menifee for prep and pickup. Our guy Ron was awesome! Explained everything, answered all our questions, and shared personal experiences. It made it a very enjoyable experience. The finance girl SARA was super nice also. I know others have had bad experiences but that was not the case for us so far but will update review if anything changes! I also thought the 5 gallon bucket of goodies was great!

Me and my wife are 30 years old, very young but do very well in business and are buying an RV with cash. The very old and very rude Walt treats us like were second class citizens not about to drop 100,000. Pathetic staff, horrible customer service. The MANAGER AND WALT ARE A COMPLETE JOKE. Comment: Terrible experience. The sales staff were more like used car sales staff than sales people selling high end RVs. Our salesmen insulted us many times. They use the old selling techniques most quality sales departments abandoned long ago... they use a win/lose scenario by degrading your trade (even though it was a high end Mercedes that they sold we were told it was a POS and not worth much. I ended up selling my Class C for $10k more than they offered me. But they told us it was worthless. Then they tried to shame us by saying we shouldnt worry about an extra $50/ month payment ( they wanted to finance it over 20 years and anyone could figure out that $50/month over 20 years is a HUGE) amount of money... but they assumed we were stupid. Eventually I told them that their sales tactics were horrible. So...... I strongly recommend a different dealer... and if you go there.. stay away from Peter Clarke... he is a terrible salesperson.

Comment: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RICHARDSONS RV*** MUST READ***After numerous conversations via phone calls and emails salesman, Ryan Sweeney; we came to a mutually agreed on purchase amount for a 2012 Nexus Phantom 24P RV. Ryan was aware we would be traveling from Roseville, CA to Manifee, CA (474 miles - one way) he offered to pick us up at Enterprise rental car after we dropped off the 1 way rental.We arrived at Richardsons RV around 9:30am on Saturday, February 7th and met with Ryan, we asked to see the RV before heading to Enterprise to return the car. As soon as we saw the RV we noticed several issues that were NOT disclosed to us.1) Apparently there was a leak in the above cab area and someone removed the hard plastic that surrounds the cab, and could not get the pieces back properly and some were damaged.2) Blue painters tape was left on the passenger side front window (upper right hand corner)3) Black silicone caulking smeared between the outside of the cab and RV overhang on drivers side front corner area approximately 8-10 inches.4) The Slide was not flush with side of the RV ~ approximately 1 1/2 inch gap.5) Both sides of RV (outside) were sun damaged; weathered by elements. The fiberglass was dull chalky looking, the decals were bubbled and faded, the front cab (hood) paint was dull, chrome was water spotted with a film all over everything outside.6) Several large scratches/nicks in drawers and cupboards inside RV.7) Inside RV top of door - someone applied duct tape all around the entry and by tv; when they attempted to remove the duct tape, it left glue and removed varnish on paneling - (approximately 10 large spots/areas).8) Paneling on side of fridge, by stove - 2 large strips of veneer was ripped off and then badly repaired.9) Dining table where you would make the bed, one of the wood brackets was badly damaged.We expressed our disappointment at driving 474 miles to look at this RV that only had 3,490 miles on it but was obviously not well cared for. Ryan got his manager, Mark Barry to come look at all of the issues. Mark was very professional and agreed the issues we pointed out were valid. Mark got the shops head mechanic (sorry, I dont remember his name) and he was very unprofessional. After he was unable to fix the hard plastic pieces that were improperly re-installed he made the statement this is a used rig, what do you expect.We walked into the office and asked to speak with Mark. At this point my wife sat on a couch crying trying to get ahold of Enterprise to see what we need to do about the 1 way car rental. I asked Mark for reimbursement of the rental car and expenses we incurred because of Ryans word that the RV was virtually brand new. Mark was unable to make decision and said he would get his Manager, Rick Jacobson.I have never been treated so badly; Rick was rude, arrogant, and unsympathetic to our situation. As my wife is crying on the couch Rick made the statement You took a gamble and lost, you dont have to buy the RV, whats the problem? Rick then said he didnt even know what a Nexus Phantom was, or that he even had it on the lot. A Manager is responsible for knowing what inventory he has, responsible for all the employees under that roof and above all else, he should treat potential buyers or upset customers with respect.We gave a $2,000 deposit over the phone to hold that RV, we rented a car, drove 474 miles and had a cashiers check in hand to buy that RV. This was a done deal until we saw the RV.We held up our end of the agreement; your salesman Ryan did NOT! He was NOT honest and forthcoming about the issues this RV had. We feel he deliberately deceived us about the condition of this RV just to make a sale!

Comment: Not good.. Not only is the Jayco seismic falling apart, I mean the day I picked it up NEW!.. I it out 3 times and every time I take it out something does not work, or brakes. But to top it off Richardsons RV (Where I bought it) will take it in for repair and 2 weeks later look at it. Then 2 weeks later work on it if you call them and ask whats going on because I never recieve calls on status they might say its all done. So you drive out to pick it up and its not done or something was not right. So I have owned my 100K + rig for 6 months and its been in the shop for 3 months total. I will update after I get it back this 3rd time. Maybe something has changed.

Comment: I took delivery of my Hummingbird June 14th. I had 5 repairs that needed to be fixed after my first trip. I called the service dept to see about having the repairs done. They set me up for an appt to bring it in the following week which was fine, but they failed to tell me that the appt was to drop it off to wait in line to be fixed. It only took them 1 or 2 days to fix the problems but they had my trailer for 3 weeks. They should have given me an appt for when they could fix the problem not an appt to wait . I thought the staff was very friendly but the way they operate is way below par. I will be looking for someone more organized and closer to home to do the warranty work from now on .

Comment: Worst customer service ever originally I went in and spoke with Ryan he gave me his card I told him exactly what I was looking for and I gave him a price only $5,000 under asking for a brand new $60,000 fifth wheel I told him to see what he can do and give me a call back he never called back I even gave him my email I never got an email a week later I tried calling back spoke with the front desk I asked if I can be transferred to a customer service sales manager it went straight to voicemail twice on the third attempt she transferred me to service department finally I drove down with my friend I spoke with Peter unbelievably rude I asked what the reason was behind never getting a call back he said he probably didnt call you back because of the price you offered I said that sounds a little inconsiderate wouldnt you say and suddenly he realized how rude he was being an agreed and went on to tell me his background in sales and how he went to school for it tried to pull me into a trailer that I had zero interest in just to show me paperwork on it and how the fees work finally after telling him my offer for the second time he replied Im going to hand you off to my associate at that point I gave the original business card back to the manager or what looked to be the manager but never introduced himself and left. I wouldnt give this company a penny not worth my time

Comment: My son and I went into get some parts. We were in there for about 10 min looking at leveling jacks and some more parts for our toy hauler, ten more min past and we didnt get any assistance. A caucasian gentlemen walked in and the parts person immediately got up to assit him. I figured maybe he did not see us but when he was done assisting the gentleman he walked past us and went back behind the counter and got on the phone. My son and I decided to leave with our money and business. I would definitely NOT recommend RICHARDSONS RV IN SUN CITY. The lack of customer service is quite obvious.I will definitely not return to this location even though I live a couple of minutes away.

Comment: We walked in and everything seemed normal, began looking at a few trailers, found some we liked, asked for them to be unlocked and got attitude, after looking we asked for some brochures and were told they couldnt give them to us because they cost 2 dollars a piece. I guess 2 dollars is worth losing a 60,000 dollar sale. They need the 2 dollars due to their lack of sales and horrible customer service. I would give this place negative 5 stars if possible. STAY AWAY if you are looking for a good buying experience and the understanding that a large purchase like this isnt made in seconds.

Comment: Service went above and beyond. First of all the drop off was easy with Jannie.....the next day I realized I forgot to remove a huge bag of ice from the freezer. Frantic because the freezer was now off for 2 days, I called and another gal (i cannot remember name) said she would clean it up for me and to save myself a trip since I was 60 miles away. She called be back an hour later to ensure she cleaned it up and that non of the water got out of the freezer and than none got on the floor. I was very happy for them to go out of their way like that......

Comment: We bought our Jayco Jay feather ultra light 23 in 2011 and was a great experience, we stop by once in a while and look at new trailers with hopes of upgrading soon . This review is also to mention how amazing they were today . We got a flat tire on our way out to Oceanside, on the 215 right across, south bound, from Richardsons Rv . I didnt have the right tools and my spare was low in air, I unhooked the trailer and left it, the sales manager at dealer was kind enough to lend me the right tools and service filled my spare tire . They saved our trip ! Within an hour we were back on the road . Thank you so much guys

Comment: We bought a travel trailer from them at the RV Show in Pomona - we went to the Menifee location to pick it up and they took great care in explaining all the features and and how tos - they even gave us a big break on financing because some things had changed since the day of the show and the day of delivery.Sadly aftercare is lacking! We got a dead battery which had to be replaced at our cost on the road (they claimed we never mentioned it) the TV bracket we bought from them was installed backwards, the TV needed to be replaced as the DVR connection was broken (took a call to the GM to get that done) We could go on.....

Comment: Really, Richardsons R.V. Center is a joke. Worst experience ever. My husband and I went to the Riverside location. We started talking to Mark (Dip Stick saleman) and what we were looking for in a toy hauler. We explain all our wants and needs; generator being our biggest need. After sitting in the toy hauler and having a detail conversation about generators Mark-dip stick saleman explain the toy hauler had a generator on the toy hauler. Well my husband and I started the paper work and went back home to Bakersfield, about 200 miles away. My husband left $2,000 check and were were going to anothe $3,000.00 when we pick up the trailer. Well here comes the fun part. We also had a HD 2012 for trade, and they were going to pay it off. So we load up the HD in our truck and drive 200 miles to Riverside (our choice). We pull up to the service department asked if we can unload the HD they said no we would have to take it to the sales department (Good customer services would be Sure you can given that we just drove 200 miles). So we drop off the HD at the sales department and head back to the service department. As we going through everything my husband asked about the generator. The service lady told us this model does not come with the generator. Poor service lady all I saw was red and so did my husband. We drove back to the sales department load up our HD and NO ONE TRIED TO MAKE IT RIGHT. The only person who wanted to know what was going on was the finance lady. I got the owners contact information and GM. We both left messages and either one has called us back. But given other reviews and the ones on YELP what do you expect? Save your money and time dont go here they are unprofessional and dont care about their customers. They just want a sale. I would go to GAINT RV CENTER that is down the highway. They are truthful and upfront.

Comment: I went with my brother to buy a travel trailer. The price of the unit we wanted was ~$16,000, well over what we wanted to pay. The salesperson asked as we were walking out the door, “If I could sell you that unit for $10,000 would you buy it?” We said, “How about $9,000.” She went to the general manager with the offer and she came back with $14,000. I asked, “What happen to $10,000?” She said she could not sell it for $10,000. I said, “You just said you will sell it for $10,000.” She said, “No I did not. I said, ‘If I could sell you that unit for $10,000 would you buy it?’” An argument about semantics which ended with us walking out angry. What is really sad is she was going on and on about what a wonderful deal she was going to make my brother since he is a veteran.
