Pick up amd delivery of packing materials was fine, but delivery of items to my new apartment (after I paid) was done poorly as is the consistent theme of the reviews, and boxes were damaged. Once they get paid, they stop caring (because I paid before delivery of my items, big mistake) and dont even do a passable job.
Booking process was simple and office staff (Virginia) answered all of my initial questions regarding a rather unorthodox move. We basically had to move the contents of my apartment, my boyfriends apartment and the contents of a storage unit (all at separate locations) all to our new home. They recommended a different pickup order to lessen the drive time and the move was completed without incident and under the quoted price. Tyler and Kenny were our movers and were professional and accommodating, cant say how great of an experience we had on what could have been a stressful day. Well definitely be calling them again when we move again!!
My housemate and I had multiple set-backs to what should have been a simple move, the last being me breaking a toe before our big day of moving a lot of things from a basement apartment across town to a 3rd floor apartment, neither places having an elevator. Campus Concepts responded quickly and professionally to my inquiry with the best quote, worked with me to find a time to fit our needs on a last-minute time frame, and did an amazing job. They were professional, incredibly polite and respectful, very fast, and ultimately turned what seemed like a nightmare move into something bearable again.
Campus Concepts was amazing. When I called I got the best deal. On moving day we had a great experience. Jared, Kenny, Tim, and Randy showed up. They were awesome. Did a great job and got it done fast. Turk showed up to help on his day off because he only lived a couple miles from the house we were moving from. People that work on days off are are true testament of the leadership and the company they work for. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. I will recommend you to anyone that is moving. Thank you for making the day a lot less stressful.
I would not recommend using this company to move. Here are my three reasons:1. They gave me a 3 hour window between 12-3 for when they would show up, and they still didn’t get there on time. They arrived at 4:00 PM.2. I received no communication from them. I called at 2:30, and only then did they say they were running late. If they called me earlier, I would’ve understood and would’ve given them a positive review.3. I had to ask for a partial refund - it was not offered. They gave me a 10% discount, which only equates to about $30. Which is a really small amount considering it cost me an entire afternoon.I would use Two Men and Truck next time - this company is unreliable and doesn’t care.Edit: The movers did a nice job once they got here. They moved quickly and did all they could to make up for lost time
Tim and Maurice were the movers for me and they did a good job of efficiently loading and unloading. The entire job was done in 2.5 hours, which included a ~25 minute drive between my old and new apartments. They also took the proper care of my things and didnt damage anything. I recommend them and would use them again myself.Edit: As of 2020 I have used them two more times after my initial review, and continue to recommend them.
I used Campus Concepts for a local move from Ypsilanti to Ann Arbor, and I have to say they did an excellent job. The movers were polite, fast, and very professional. Ive had several terrible experiences in the past with other moving companies, so I was very anxious about this move, but my anxieties were quickly eased after the movers arrived and began working. I can not recommend this company enough, thank you for helping me move into my new home!
Fred and Trent arrived on time and had our moving trailer completely unloaded in less than an hour. They also reassembled some furniture and cheerfully moved things around inside to help us get properly set up. They were super friendly, efficient, and took great care of our stuff - in short, they made our move-in day as pleasant as possible, and I’m really happy we chose Campus Concepts!
OT (Tim) and Randy did a fantastic job. They arrived on time and quickly got everything loaded into the truck and moved into our new house. They were gentle with all of our furniture and held the furniture off the hardwood floors while we put felt pads on the feet. We had no problems and have no reservations about hiring them again for our next move.
The beginning of my move started out well. It was a hot day and the movers were doing a decent job getting everything out of my challenging 2 story condo into the truck. The issues I have with the move began at the unloading.I was not at home for the unloading of items at the new house due to a family emergency. The unloading was done very poorly. A couch was left sideways in the middle of a room. A mattress was left sideways and is torn on its underside. Boxes were left everywhere in the center of the rooms with no logical order.I had damage to a cabinet. The cabinet was then hidden in the back corner of my garage with a box on top of the damage and no one was told anything about it. It was really unprofessional. The movers attempted to put our metal bed frame together. We noticed the bed wasnt comfortable. They left out the center piece and just shoved it under the bed. Again, they didnt tell anyone.Im not that happy overall with the move.I treated the movers really well. They each got tipped $40, had free bottled water, and I bought them pizza for lunch. Unfortunately I feel like they didnt treat me as well as I treated them.I emailed this information with pictures to campus concepts and got no reply.
I HIGHLY recommend using campus concepts for any moving and storage needs. This is now my third time using this company and have not had any issues. The staff is very professional and easy to get ahold of, the movers were personable and efficient and overall I have 0 complaints!. I have recommended this company to my family and friends!
Today Swayne, Tim, and another fellow whose name Ive forgotten (with regrets), moved a ton of furniture for me and my housemate and they did a fabulous job. They were fun, kind, and so fast. They took great care of our belongings and moved our entire home in two hours. Im very grateful for their efficiency and customer service. Campus Concepts moved us last year also and we had a wonderful move then as well.
Second time using campus concepts for a move- this one being cross country. Obviously they were so excellent that I was a return customer. They worked efficiently, were careful with our belongings, patient with us (we were still packing when they arrived!) and helped us decide where furniture would look best (OT especially has an eye for these things). Would recommend without reservation!!
This is the second time Ive used Campus Concepts, and Ive recommended them to everyone I know! My first move was within Ann Arbor, but this last move was from Ann Arbor to Lansing. I was nervous about the bigger move, but I shouldnt have worried at all. Kenny and Edmund were fantastic. From the moment they called to say they were on their way (completely on-time, by the way) until the moment they left the new house, I was impressed. I had a TON of stuff, and the two of them carefully, quickly and efficiently loaded the truck in record time. We had an extra stop at a storage facility which they expertly packed to the gills. They then unloaded the rest into a basement apartment. By the end of the day we were exhausted, but they kept working without slowing at all. Everything arrived safely and was handled with care. I HIGHLY recommend Campus Concepts no matter what you have to move!
They tried to leave after only half of our house was loaded. They came back but ultimately left 1/4 of our possessions in our old house! The furniture and boxes they did move, they banged into the freshly painted walls. They lost the hardware for a futon and tried to rig it back together with supplies they had on hand. It fell apart immediately and further damaged the walls. They did not even bother to let me know they had lost the hardware. I’ve spent three days moving the rest of the house in my car.Horrible experience. Avoid them at all costs!
Moving is so stressful. Campus-Concepts took the stress of moving completely away. I do not remember the name of the girl who helped me set my reservation but she was so helpful in getting everything set up. Swain and Edmond were my movers. They called prior to arriving and were right on time. They handled all of my furniture as if it was their own. They worked efficiently and were able to get my move completed in under 4 hours. All of my stuff was going into a storage unit and they were able to pack everything into a 10x15 saving me a ton of money on storage. I will use them again once my new apartment comes available.
Just used Campus Concepts to move from Ypsilanti to Plymouth. While the movers themselves were on time and friendly, the move took much longer than planned or seemed necessary. I had pre-packed and organized things for the move, yet when they carried things out they did very small loads and what has traditionally with past movers been a 2-3 hour move turned into a 5 hour move. The hourly fee ($115/hr) is low, but the added travel fee ($110) as well as charging time for when they had to move the truck to let other residents out added up. Plus there was a 1% fee to pay with my card on file. I guess theres no extra fee if you pay cash?I feel bad that I couldnt afford a gratuity for the movers. Again they were very nice, but not as fast as I expected. I had budgeted $500 for the move, ending up paying $700.The other frustration was that several times the movers asked if I could move things myself in my car, such as multiple TVs, boxes, and other items. I hired movers not to still have to take several loads myself. I would probably recommend using another company such as Men on the Move, Superior Moving, or Two Men and a Truck. I went with Campus Concepts because they were friendly, easy to schedule, and cheap. But I think that the cheaper rate is to compensate for extending the move times. Be prepared.
Fast, on-time, careful and professional. OT and Travis were awesome. They packed my house in Ann Arbor and unloaded everything in Columbus. Everything went great and all was packed carefully and secure. I highly recommend Campus Concept especially OT and Travis, and theyll be the first number Ill call if Im ever moving again. 5/5 great service.
My experience with Campus Concepts was nothing short of excellent. I had Kenny, Tim and Leslie move my entire home at the end of June in some extreme heat. Despite the temperature they managed to get everything moved under my quoted estimate. They arrived on time and all introduced themselves to my family and got straight to work. At delivery, everything arrived undamaged. Never heard a single complaint when my wife and I directed them where the belongings were going at our new home. Overall great experience and I will definitely be using them again, highly recommend Campus Concepts.
These guys were QUICK. Tim and Randy came out to move me from my 3rd floor apartment. To be fair, I didnt have a lot of big furniture, but I had plenty of boxes and bags, and they were just trucking up and down stairs like it was nothing and got me moved into my new place in just under 2 hours. They were super polite and friendly, and took excellent care of my stuff. Will be hiring Campus Concepts for my next move.
My experience with Campus Concepts exceeded all expectations. Super cheap, super fast, and carried out with a great deal of care and attention to detail. I have never seen anyone move as fast as Kenny and OT. As budget movers that charge by the hour, they truly understand their clients priorities - to say they are respectful of your time and money would be a gross understatement. Though packing help was not requested, they had packing supplies on hand and repackaged a TV that had been improperly packed by yours truly, in a pinch. Everything was loaded with care - they used straps and moving blankets that I would not have used, myself. I also have an awkwardly shaped couch that always loses a foot or two getting through doorways, but Kenny and OT somehow managed to navigate it without breaking any off. They finished the job with time to spare and graciously offered to use the remaining time unpacking. Everything arrived in perfect condition - they didnt break so much as a glass. Really, I cant speak highly enough of them. Worth every penny and then some, so tip generously and with cash.
We were moved by Tim M. And Devon and we could not have asked for a smoother experience. They arrived on time with everything they needed to get us moved out quickly and efficiently. They worked hard the entire time and were really helpful with any questions we had regarding the packing of fragile materials. I would definitely recommend Campus Concepts for your moving needs. Its also worth to note that the pricing is not only fair but very competitive compared to what other companies are charging and the service is amazing!
I used Campus Concepts for the third time and had another great experience. The movers showed up on time, were friendly and worked efficiently. The manager and office staff are very knowledgeable and responsive with all of my questions. I highly recommend them for any moving or storage needs.
Tim and Travis were great to work with. I had a two bedroom apartment move. They showed up on time and were super efficient. I was impressed with how well they worked together and how careful they were. I appreciated how they shared information about how to best prep for moving. I would certainly use them again.
Super grateful for these guys. My move out was fast! I had labor only and considering how much stuff I had, they completed the job in 2 hours exactly. Careful, friendly, and efficient are the ways I would describe OT and Aaron. They only loaded my things, but later that day I still had to load my partners stuff and they gave me advice on the best way to do that with the truck. Thanks!! I had a successful drive to my new home in Chicago!
Campus Concepts were great movers! They moved all my things in record time and were super efficient and nice. I haven’t noticed any damages throughout the move. They were very conscientious of putting things where we wanted them to go. Tim and Mike were wonderful movers, and Sam was very accommodating with scheduling despite some last minute changes.
Campus Concepts has moved me twice in two years. Fantastic, professional service! I cant say enough about how hard these guys work. We just did a pretty brutal move to a third floor apartment and they remained dedicated to the end. Arrived on time, worked hard all day, took care with my furniture and items. Campus Concepts will always be my moving company in Ann Arbor.
I had Tim and Swayne, and they were very friendly and did a great job. I was really concerned about my furniture getting scratched and them being able to disassemble and reassemble my bed, which is huge and has drawers built into the frame. While it took a little longer than quoted (4 hours for all furniture), the assembly/disassembly made it was a pretty complicated move, and I was happy they were able to take it all apart and put it back together the way it came (plus move things around while I figured out how to arrange the room). They were really good about padding all the furniture, which survived the trip without any scratches. Overall, they made it easy and pretty stress-free.
I have used Campus Concepts twice now for their services. This time I used them for an interstate move to a 1 bedroom apartment. I have nothing but great things to say about the company. The movers were friendly, efficient and cared about my items. Most importantly for me, the quote was reasonable and spot on to my final bill. I strongly recommend Campus Concepts for any of your moving needs.
Tim (Jr) and Tim (Sr) were both fantastic (!) and they work well together. They were able to complete my move (3B, 2.5B, 1200 SQ Ft) in about 4 hours from start to finish (moved into a local storage unit). They were even able to move a particularly rickety TV console that I was sure was going to fall apart. They worked fast and efficiently despite the near 90 degree heat and even managed to get that big truck to the storage unit despite some tight turns. And, we had fun rocking out to some 80s music during the move. Overall, I would happily use their services again. Thanks guys.
It’s a busy moving season so the guys are being severely overworked. By Wednesday they had already put in a 40 hour week. The 3 person team would have been inadequate for my move, even without the heatwave. There should have been 4 fresh guys. Only 2 showed up who were dragging from the beginning. They called for help, got 2 guys for 45 minutes after they had already worked a full shift. Later a 3rd guy came after working a full day as well. This made the move take much longer than estimated. About 2 1/2 hours longer. Or several hundred dollars more. Worse, was how exhausted the crew was. It made the move sloppy and even unsafe. My tall dresser was broken beyond repair because they tilted it sideways on skinny legs, snapping one of the legs clean off. It’s unrepairable and Campus Concepts contract (fine print in the back) excludes covering any IKEA furniture specifically. When I called about the extra time for the move, sloppy work from an exhausted crew with too few men, a trashed dresser, the officious assistant manager just kept repeating the terms of the contract at me. At the end she said if I could produce the original receipt for the discontinued dresser, with on-line specs and weight, that of course aren’t available since it’s discontinued, photographs of the damaged dresser, they’d generously compensate me about $30. Really? I can only warn others not to use this company. They don’t care about the customer and certainly about their belongings. They overwork their guys horribly, putting them and the customer’s household of goods at high risk. Take your business elsewhere.
My wife and I used campus concepts to move into our new home in November and had a great experience. Movers were quick and careful not to cause any damage to our furniture or home. Dont plan on moving anytime soon, but if we do well definitely be using campus concepts again.
I have moved many times in and Ann Arbor and never have I had experienced such a bad crew and company. The crew that came was extremely slow and downright lazy. I would find them literally sitting in the truck talking to each other, frequently taking smoking breaks, and just wasting time. Its very disconcerting when you pay them by the hour. I called to complain and to get the office to take action and make them more productive. No one answered my call. The total bill came out to over $1200 dollars. A whopping price for such poor quality of work. I also have many scratches and broken items from the workers negligence. They straight up dropped a couple of items and refused to pay..
They moved us just last week and did a great job. My movers were excellent moving my things down three flights of stairs to get out of my apartment. Upon arriving at my house they would inquire about where to put things anytime it was not labeled. Everything made it there in one piece and there were no dents or dings in anything. This is our second time using them and would use them again in the future.
We didnt have a good experience with Campus Concepts. We had two men and one truck for two hours. We told them we only wanted them for the two hours - no more - and that whatever boxes remained we would move ourselves. They were understanding of this and did indeed finish within the two hours, which we appreciated. That was probably the only positive. Overall I found them very unprofessional. Both men cut themselves (completely understandable - it must come with the territory) but neither had any bandaids with them. Luckily I keep some in my purse and was able to give them about 5. However, the bandaids apparently didnt stick because they BOTH bled on our furniture. One mover bled on a white fabric chair and asked me to clean it. I thought that was shocking because I dont think I should have to clean up a strangers blood (oh, and Im pregnant!) - they should have cleaned it themselves. After they left we found blood all over - on boxes, on other furniture, etc.. It was really gross and unsanitary. They said they were used to cutting themselves, and I thought if thats the case they should come prepared with bandaids and gauze/wraps so that they dont bleed all over peoples stuff! We gave them some of our lunch and set out ice water for them so I felt they kind of took advantage of us and really didnt care how they treated our things. One mover carried in our dresser and hit the ceiling in the hallway, breaking the plaster. It was a huge mess. A lot of our things were scuffed up and scraped. For the price we paid, it was not worth it. If we use movers again, we would go with a better company. Nice guys, but extremely unprofessional.
Despite the excessive heat and surprise thunderstorm, this crew of OT (Original Tom) and Fred persisted! They took slightly longer than the estimate, but that was completely reasonable with the weather. They checked all steps with me and were considerate of my concerns. They were even fine with me chilling with my freaked out dog while they unloaded the truck and let me know when the bag with her meds in it was out. Great work!
Campus Concepts was amazing. Justin and Nate were true professionals -- super friendly, very fast, and careful with my furniture. They arrived within the given window, got right to work, and finished faster than the quoted time. This was worth every penny, and Id definitely use them again. Thanks, guys!
Tim and Tim were AWESOME! Got to my place exactly on the hour, moved quickly and efficiently and made the move as smooth as possible. I didnt have much but they definitely finished sooner than I thought they would have. Great people, great service. If you get these two for your move with CC consider yourself pretty darn lucky.
Owner is very knowledgeable of area and what it takes to move in a timely fashion. There team take great care in protecting your belongings and are SUPER friendly. They are also willing to go the extra mile to ensure furniture is resembled properly. Great Business in the Washtenaw county area!
We are concerned over missing things. I do not write this review to defame anyone and its not done in a malicious manner. I am only stating facts as to what occurred to me us.After a very upsetting phone call from the owner stating he was going to sue me for slander re: my review, screaming, saying I was irrational, etc., it genuinely sickens me to have to write this. I do not want the $200 he offered me. I would just like my things back. The items were packed and now the items have not been located to date.We moved on Sept. 28 and I believe had Josh and Travis. Having anxiety made the move especially hard for me and its taken several weeks to get through 2 huge, full trucks of unpacking. In this process, Ive realized MANY things are missing including a box with several pairs of womens nice leather gloves (4 pair) and probably 8 other pairs, my favorite large 20 x 30 framed picture, a box of office supplies (couldnt find my hole punch) yet cannot be precise about everything that might have been in the box. My husband states he sees nothing of his missing but hasnt went through all his things.I kept praying we would eventually find these items together hopefully in the garage as our house is only 1300 square feet and have become panicked with looking. Ive now realized these things are not here. Can these things be replaced? Yes, but thats not the point. I feel violated. I would just replace missing items, but these were things accumulated as personal gifts and were things I loved and saved for.Josh stated his grill was stolen 2 days prior to our move. I felt bad and gave him a brand new grill and he dumped all the coals in our elderly neighbors drive, laughed, and said, You wont see her again. Dont worry. We were mortified and went back after the move and cleaned it for her and apologized.I hadnt moved in 28 years. Hopefully this was a rare occasion as I read reviews for over an hour before calling. These things were priceless to me. I pray to God I find them and will be the first to say so and apologize if Im wrong, but almost 8 weeks of looking tells me Im not.I am by no means slandering this company. Slander is lying and Im willing to take a lie detector test. I would have not written this review if I didnt feel it could help others make their own choice. I can only say how many other people might have possibly been contacted like I was and may have taken the money and removed their review? Hopefully none. We feel that we have had a negative experience and would not recommend this company for your next moving project.
I highly recommend Campus Concepts! They had all of my stuff moved within an hour. They had trouble with their truck and called and let me know why they were running late but they still made it to my address within the hour range they had gave. I will definitely be going with them again in the future!
There was some mix-up between my posting that I needed move help and packing and the information that the men who came to my move had, as they arrived without tape or boxes. Quickly they remedied this and moved forward at a pretty rapid pace while being careful of my more fragile pieces. I liked their attitude and they were respectful throughout.
Today I had the pleasure of having Swayne and Tim move my furniture. They were friendly, very officiant and fast. I was wondered, when I was choosing to use a moving company to watch out for people taking their time and running up the clock. This was not the case at all with them. I would use this company again in the future!!Thank you guys!!!

2022-08-15We had a phenomenal experience with Campus Concepts, from our initial quote until the final box was moved into our new place. We had a long-distance move across the country and ended up needing some storage in between. We called and they were extremely attentive and friendly, and were able to quickly give us an estimate with specific move in/out days (the only company that was able to do so with a long distance move, as many of the others gave us a 3 day pick up/2 week drop off window, which seemed absurd. Just note their quote is non-binding so you need to make sure you have an accurate listing of items/time to pack/etc). We had a change of plans and they were easily able to accommodate us, as they do not load multiple moves into one truck. The move was incredibly smooth and we were very happy with the service and process. Highly recommend!

2022-07-30Got the Friday late afternoon shift. Not into the job at all. Decent guys … but we for sure got below average service. It seems management told them it was just furniture. They didn’t do any boxes and of course we had spent all week getting boxes ready for the move. Awesome… we get to move boxes all weekend 😡😡 Don’t use these guys unless you get a Wednesday morning crew . Don’t Use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2022-05-18The movers I had where not professional. They ask for money to move my small chest freezer. They slowed down to cost us money. After the poor service wanted a tip. Wasted time on starting and coming to the disnation. You people need to look into your workers

2021-07-14Tyler and Kenny did a great job! They moved all of our furniture and belongings quickly and professionally. The price was excellent; much lower than quotes we got from other companies. I would definitely recommend Campus Concepts for moving services.

2021-08-05Kenny, Ed and Andrew were beyond amazing. They are the only reason our move went smoothly. They were fun to work with and clearly were experts at moving and packing efficiently. Virginia was also a pleasure to deal with and took pity on us as we called a week before out move. She was able to give us a crew of 3 for 4hrs which was more than enough. Highly recommend.

2017-11-22Campus Concepts moved us within Ann Arbor in June and from Ann Arbor to Florida in August 2017. Both moves were excellent. The teams (Tim, David, and Kenny on move#1; Nathan and Tim, with help loading from Kenny on move#2) were excellent overall, very efficient, careful, and courteous. Warren and his office staff were also excellent, with great communication and coordination. A+ overall. Thanks again!
