Ordered for the first time during the pandemic. They only let people in one at a time, which is fine, but I didnt know and had to wait 20 min in 80 degree weather to get my takeout. Then they screwed up the order, took back the extra meal. Got home and turns out I was missing some items too. It was charged much more than the menu prices on MenuPix - so be aware. The food was not to my preferred taste. We will not be returning.
Best Chinese food in the area, by far. Love the fried rice - white meat and tender chicken, lots of green onion and bean sprouts - just delicious! Egg rolls are wonderful too. Cant wait to go back and try more dishes, but if these two are great, the rest usually follows.
Have gone to Canton China for many years. Since they have New owners , we have eaten there once and food was good. Got a carry out and food was terrible.Thought to give them another try on a carry out and again food was terrible. Egg rolls were fine, but sweet and sour chicken and pork subgum was terrible. Tasted VERY greasy and not to exaggerate ending up throwing both combo plates in trash. Will never go back there.
I moved here from Florida and was very spoiled by the Chinese Rest. that I frequented. Bust I found that Canton China was a pretty close second. It was a little bit more expensive but then everything is more expensive in Michigan BUT the combo that I got could easily fee two people (and I eat a lot)!
This is our go-to spot for Chinese ever since Ginger closed. The staff is friendly and the food is always fresh, hot, and tasty. My only complaint is that whenever I order something spicy and they ask how hot I want it - I can say hot but it wont even be mild-level spicy. Im not looking to burn my lips off or start dripping sweat when I eat...but when I order something thats supposed to be spicy - Id like at least a LITTLE kick.
I was told 15 to 25 minutes and when I went in after 20 minutes it didnt feel quite warm like it got done a lot sooner.I got home and was severely disappointed to have cold lo mein and spaghetti noodles instead of thick regular lo mein. And my egg drop soup was not good.I know better to stick with what I know
We ordered from here for the first time tonight and I thought it was gross. Expensive too! For three people it came to $42! I ordered the sesame chicken, my son got the veggie lo mein, and my husband got the singapore noodles. He thought it wasnt that bad but my son and I were not impressed. Its prob the worst chinese food Ive ever had tbh. And were not even picky. The eggroll was.....idk how to explain it....bland and empty. Literally almost empty on the inside.
Stopped on a whim because we were shopping in the mall nearby, we got the dinner menu which was...pricey...so asked for the lunch menu which had the portions and prices we wanted. Ordered sweet and sour rice, sesame chicken, and side order of crab rangoons. WOW. Delicious! Especially their fried rice, just plain fried rice on the side of the chicken courses, was AMAZING! Super flavorful, some type of spice in there. We will be coming back again when we return to Canton and I will be ordering a main course of some type of fried rice. Yum, totally recommend!
Not sure what’s going on with the general tsos takeout. Few months back I dined in a couple times and each time I got general tsos. Each time it was amazing, soft tender meat, delicious sauce, nice light crisp to the breading. But since then I’ve gotten takeout 2-3 times and each time the chicken is stringy and tough and just feels fibrous while chewing. Not sure if new chef, or different cooking method for takeout vs dine in. I’ll try a different dish next time and see how it go’s. Otherwise very good typical Chinese place. Good pricing, good quantity of food and options, and it was packed with takeout people and even dine in people when I went Sunday evening!
We got $30 worth of food and threw it out sadly. The hot and sour soup took sour to a new extreme. It didnt have the usual ingredients. We ended up not eating it.I got sesame chicken. The chicken was old and dry. The actual sauce didnt have a taste and made the chicken feel like it had slime covering it. The spring roll was soggy and didnt taste like a spring roll. The rice that came with the combo was crunchy. My husband got lo mein. It was the Asian noodles with an unidentifiable meat on the top and veggies that you usually dont find in lo mein. The sauce was not the usual brown sauce but a clear slime. My husband couldnt get past bite 2.Overall it was an awful experience and a waste of money. I would expect most places to be packed at 7pm on a Saturday night but this place was deserted. That should have probably been a clue that if they werent busy there was probably a good reason.Edit: My husband asked me to add that it only took them about 7 minutes to get our food to us. He thinks they just warmed everything up instead of making it fresh.
One of the best chinese places in the canton Plymouth area for dine in or take out. Food portions are crazy large, specially with cary-out. Wonton soup is so good! Egg rolls are pretty good. General tao is excellent. The lady who serves us remembers us & our order every time and is super friendly and welcoming.
Ugh! Bit into my eggroll and it was raw inside! The Generals chicken was edible...barely. The fries rice was very dry and overcooked. Sze-chuan off of Ford Rd. is a thousand times better and just around the corner. Dont waste the money on this place. Hopefully it gets shut down soon. And the only reason I gave it one star is because I cant give it zero.
This has to have been the worst Chinese Ive ever had. My wife and I went in there for lunch one day and she ordered the almond chicken and I ordered the general tows chicken... When our order came to the table both plates had the same thing on it. I asked the waitress if mine was general tows and she said yes. But it was really almond chicken. I asked for plum sause for my egg rolls and she pointed to the orange sause on the table. Later when the sweet and sour chicken came for my kids (which came with no sause at all) I asked for some sweet and sour sause and again she pointed to the orange sause on the table. When the bill came it was way over priced to the tune of over 50 bucks for 3 adults and 2 kids that shaired the same plate. I will never be going back to this place

2022-08-09Flavors were good but there was more rice than broccoli beef and more rice than shrimp and snow peas. Hot and sour soup was very good. For reference I travel both domestically and internationally around 100 nights per year eating all sorts of local foods.

2022-06-17Disappointing. I picture a good almond boneless chicken as golden brown tender pieces of chicken sitting on a bed of lettuce, and perhaps some crumbled almond somewhere in the dish, along with a tasty gravy of course. Mine was dark, dry, and tough. A tiny bit of disintegrated lettuce underneath and no almond to be found. The gravy was fine. The fried rice was meh. I have family members who are repeat customers here so maybe this was a fluke and I will give them another try. We’ll see.

2022-07-17I had high hopes for this place, because we love a couple other Chinese restaurants in town so much, but I was hoping to add another one to the mix. I ordered take out for my husband and myself, and went to pick up. The set up was very strange inside, you couldn’t enter the restaurant, just go inside and stand at a table when they ask your name and they bring your stuff to you. No dining in at this time and there didn’t seem to be any windows in the establishment, which was odd. The woman who gave us our stuff was super friendly and nice. But the food was just mediocre, not enough flavor or spice. And it was expensive! I got beef fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken, my husband got sesame chicken and we got egg rolls too. It was pretty bland and I wasn’t a fan unfortunately. I wanted to add another Chinese place to our list but I just don’t think we will be back. Give it a try for yourself, maybe it’s your cup of tea, but for us, not so much.

2022-05-17No decent Chinese food in FL so we eat it as much as we can when were up here. Ive eaten at many different Chinese restaurants while living here, they are all good. This place is near our hotel and not bad at all, other then the fried rice was old and dry. Ate it anyhow beats FL!!!

2022-05-22I moved to Canton a couple years ago and tried a couple other Chinese places before finding this place. This is by far the best Chinese food Ive had compared to the other places near by. I would highly recommend. Once I f I found Canton China, I havent gone anywhere else. The egg rolls are really good too.

2022-05-29We’ve been going here for years. Close to my grandparents, but that convenience’s a bonus. Before gas spiked I’d drive a half hour here from my place and back to pick up the food. My parents, grandparents and I all dig it. Super friendly staff. Good stuff.

2020-09-15I was convinced to go for the combo sweet n sour for value....a little over priced and everything was over fried...chicken and egg roll extra crispy and dry. Sweet n sour sauce is homemade, had better. Food would have been ok if it wasn’t overcooked.

2021-09-30Wanted to try a different Chinese place and saw good ratings so I gave it a try. I got the sweet and sour chicken with noodles. The noodles were dry and plain, no veggies or anything. The food was way overpriced. Not to mention it made me sick to my stomach. Wouldn’t recommend, this is definitely tearing up my stomach.

2021-09-25This is the BEST Chinese food around town! Always delicious whether its dine in or take out. Also we see the same lady and she is very friendly and welcoming! I absolutely cant wait til this place can open for inside dining, when it does, my family & I will be there. If anyone had a bad experience, I could hardly believe it! Thank you Canton China!
