Tried this place for the first time today and I absolutely loved it. Coming from a Lebanese background I always judged Lebanese restaurants a little harder. the rest of the cuisines but this place did not disappoint! The ambience was warm and cozy with plenty of cool art and plants around. We had a very diverse order and each dish had unique flavor to it. The fattoush salad was light and refreshing, the hummus was smooth and authentic, the chicken had the perfect blend of char and juiciness to it. Phenomenal service, will definitely be back for more
I had the chicken shawarma today and I can honestly say it was one of the best I have ever had! I am usually a picky eater but this sandwich was filled with flavor and the sauce was very tasty!! This sandwich satisfied my pregnancy cravings and I cant wait to go back for more!!
Wow!!! Is all I can really say about this place. It is very hard to find food in the canton area thats so fresh and clean. From the flavors and taste it can’t get any better. I tried a little bit of everything and it was delicious. I will be defiantly be back. The customer service was amazing as well.
Food is over all good I love their fatoosh salad but the shish tawook sandwich never has enough meat and I end up with mouth fulls of garlic and pickle where chicken should be. Pretty disappointing especially being the sandwich is 6 bucks. You end up waiting way longer than they say for your food too. Get it together.
Clean restaurant, nice friendly staff, and reasonable prices, the food taste ok. To be honest, I had the same food from different restaurants and it tasted better. This is something they can improve. The tabbolli salad we got was not good at all. Not even close. Overall it is a good place to grab a bite. Food is Halal as they announce
We like My Shawarma because they have pretty good meat and veggie (eg galaba) options including great salads (eg Mediterranean salad and tabouli) too. A few dishes last us multiple dinners. Its hard to find quick food thats not full of unhealthy carbs, but My Shawarma works! There are of course plenty of carby options too if youre not trying to eat healthy we just cant speak to those.
They made us wait 40 minutes for the food(without mentioning it)and then they realized they made the mistake of not giving our order to the kitchen (the only thing they did was saying-sorry guys-by far the worst customer service ever)so we just got our money back and left
I wanted to try a new restaurant, and placed an order via grubhub as there was a $5 off coupon available. When I went to restaurant to pick it up, I was told they cancelled my order as I need to order minimum $15+ order. Seriously? If that is the condition, they should update the offer in grubhub, and moreover, grubhub shouldnt even have allowed to place an order. Later I received the cancellation email from grubhub that it was cancelled as resturant was too busy. Restaurant was fairly empty when I went for pickup around 6:30 pm. I didnt like the bait & switch tactics employed by the restaurant, and suggest they should either update the offer, or else honor those.
Please make sure your cooks are washing their hands! The service was great and the food tasted ok but I’ve been throwing up since I ate there!!!!!The day I dined in I got a chicken shawarma dinner and a coffee from another place I’ve been to the coffee shop numerous times but this was my first time at canton Pita and I will not be going back. Initially I thought it was just the food combination that got me sick but I soon realized I had food poisoning. So please please address your staffs cleanliness and the cleanliness of your restaurant!
Placed a large order and they failed to give us 3 sandwiches which was embarrassing in front of my guests! I called to speak to the manager but wouldnt get in the phone so I went up there. The Manager (Ali) still refused to speak to me about this and said to call him later. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my 53 years! Will never support this local business again as theres to many better choice restaurants in Canton.
About a month ago I Got a falafel wrap with some curly fries and it was pretty good. The curly fries were definitely the arby fries they sell in frozen bags @meijer/walmart. 2 days ago picked up some food from here and got a falafel wrap and fries and definitely got food poisoning…. Threw it all up 3 hours after eating. Dont trust them at all.
Food is very average. However management lacks basic communication/PR skills. As halal is important to us and specifically how the meat is slaughtered (machine vs hand), we asked where the meat is sourced (a legitimate question for any halal restaurant). Manager refused to answer the question or speak to me. Would not recommend this place.
We ordered Lamb platter and chicken platter today March 17th 2021. Each dish was $16.99. And we chicken skewers were burned, so much so that we couldn’t eat it. And lamb was so tough that my daughter and husband got stomach ache. Donot eat at this place. What a waste of money. Everything we bought today was over priced and made us sick.Today March 18th 2021. I went to the restaurant to show owner the food, instead of being apologetic the guy came from the back and became combative with me, telling me why didn’t I return the food right away, on which I told him that we got food around 8:40 and they close at 9. Also he accused me of eating half of the food on which I told him that my daughter had to spit it out since it was burned that’s why I had to throw it in the garbage. I was standing there for so long and kept giving him explanations one after the another. THIS GUY REFUSED TO REFUND OUR MONEY!!!!!! AND HE WAS SO RUDE!SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I love Canton Pitas salads and I have eaten here for years, but customers should know that the kitchen staff does not appear to wear masks when preparing food. In early December, I saw at least 3 cooks preparing food with no mask. I cancelled my order for a full refund, as did other customers who saw the same thing. Sadly, I will not be returning.
This place was some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in awhile. The service was fast and attentive. Our server went above and beyond giving us more than enough garlic sauce and bread. Everything was delicious and hot. And the bathrooms/dining area where all clean. I wish I lived out this way because it would be my regular stomping ground. A plus so satisfied!
This used to be the best middle eastern food in Canton, just ate there again and nothing was the same. Im assuming its new ownership? New cook? I will probably not be going back, sorry. It was mediocre at best... Soup was not good, steak was tender and cooked well but the seasoning that used to separate Canton Pita from everyone else was gone. The sauces were not good and the garlic sauce was weak. Overall the steak was cooked well but everything else was no where near the old quality. Not sure what happened??
The Place has really gone down hill! Ordered a lot of food for my family, especially in an effort to support local businesses and when my husband brought the food home, an item was missing. When I called to let them know and to see if my husband could come back to pick up the item (rice), the little girl taking orders, with poor customer service skills, basically accused me of lying but said he could come get it if he wants and then hung up on me. When he went to pick up the rice, she said I thought I put it in but whatever, its just rice. I used to enjoy the food at Canton Pita, however, they were microwaving the rice when he went back to pick it up, the Fattoush was not fresh, the hummus had no taste and the meat was reheated as well. I almost never write reviews, and I will never go back there.
Very subpar Mediterranean food. We ordered takeout - the rice pilaf was absolutely tasteless (it was basically white rice with a tiny bit of parsley and spice on top; it didnt even have any almonds) and the garlic sauce had a more mayonnaise flavor than garlic, plus a weird consistency. The wraps were okay (I got chicken shawarma while my husband got shish tawook), but not nearly as good as some other similar local restaurants, like Simply Fresh Mediterranean Grill. Would definitely recommend getting your Mediterranean fix elsewhere.
I cant say enough good things about this place. The food is always well cooked and delicious. I eat here at least twice a week. The portions are generous and their prices are excellent. The value is insane. Youll eat like a king here. I have this place on my speed dial for take out.
After a long day of fasting we tried to dine in at 8:50pm when the store closed at 10pm. We were told that they were accepting carry outs only despite the fact that there were three open tables and they were not busy. NOT very good customer service, would NOT recommend.
This place has great tasting food, that’s the truth. However, a recent visit where I decided to dine in, has ended my desire to eat there ever again. We received our bed, drinks & salad, before I even took a bite. A ROACH CAME OUT FROM MY FOOD OR UNDE MY PLATE! Idk where exactly I just yelled, jumped up and left!
While you get a large quantity of food per order ,the quality is questionable.we ordered chicken and that didnt have a taste i wonder if it was expired food heated up.. On top of it all of us who ate there vomited the food a few hours later without exception.Horrible experience.
If you wanna spend your money on food that is worth it, come here. The food tastes really good and the portions are huge.Edit: this review changed from 5 stars to 1. My old review was from 2 years ago. I’m not sure what happened to this place. We ordered today shawarma meat and chicken with fries. The fries I think were made 2 days ago. They went right into trash. The chicken shawarma was so dry. The meat shawarma had some pieces that I couldn’t chew. This place was my favorite. Not anymore.
Consistently some of the best Middle Eastern food in SE Michigan west of Dearborn.Portions are ample, preparation is fantastic and quality is consistent. Very fresh ingredients. We will generally get a $40-50 take out order and eat off the leftovers for several days.Recommendations: Falafel, Hummous, Shish Kafta, Mixed Shawarma, Chicken Shawarma and Meat Grape Leaves.Highly recommended and a great value for the quality and amount of food you get.
Got a take out 2 hrs ago. had the fatoush salad with grilled chicken. well, the salad had no dressing flavor at. all. yet it was coated with oily substance. wasnt salted nor was it seasoned. the chicken tasted like a rubber insole. the hummus was good. the pitas were decent. the shish kafta was dry and bland. overall..... wont go back ever.
Canton Pita is by far, THE BEST Middle Eastern restaurant in Canton. Way better than others, and their prices beat everyone else.My wife and I have started a new tradition to pick up Canton Pita on our way home on weekends, or during the week when we are too busy to make dinner.Large Fattoush is HUGE! Chicken Shwarma sandwiches are delicious.Plus, they have awesome boba ganoush!!If you havent had Canton Pita, you must!

2021-11-23Just got carryout from this place. The food was Great! In my opinion, you get your moneys worth here. Six pieces of chicken breast for $21 and it came with a side of hummus thats pretty good. We also got a large salad. This was a really good size salad for possibly two people. Anyway, the food was good and I think it deserves five stars. I cant comment on the service because I only got carry out.

2022-01-24Used to waitress at this restaurant many years ago, and decided to take my husband out for a date night, as the food used to be my favorite. A lot has changed since I last visited, I guess. There is different management & although it is still a sit down restaurant (meaning they provide tables and chairs to sit), the dine-in experience was lacking. First, it was absolutely freezing inside. I was wishing I had my winter jacket the whole time. You place your order standing at the front counter, & pay right then, instead of having a waitress/waiter. The worst part about doing it that way was we didnt want to buy a bunch of cans of pop ahead of time, not knowing how many wed really drink. So we made one can each work, although we both would have liked at least one more drink with our meals.. But we just didnt really want to go back up there to do another transaction. The food is also served in to-go containers with plastic cutlery. The food was okay, not bad. But unfortunately, with a $50 price tag for two, I think next time we would go somewhere with a more comfortable dining experience.

2022-01-31If you love authentic Mediterranean food you must try this restaurant. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. It is obvious that they use high quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their dishes. They have the best falafel and hummus I have ever tasted! The restaurant is always clean and inviting. Their service is fast and friendly.

2022-06-11We and the wife ate here. Food was good the 2 young girls. At the counter was really nice and helpful. But one girl started sweeping the floor! With food in the ready window. Dust was everywhere even in our food. First & last time eating here...

2022-02-28The food is absolutely fantastic! Freshly cooked to order. I travel through a few cities passing similar restaurants. They fail in comparison to the quality of food and service I consistently receive at Canton Pita! The staff makes it such a pleasant experience. If youre looking for quality restaurant & food, This is the place!!

2022-04-29Ordered here for lunch. Why in to order because I was overwhelmed by the online menu. They were busy but the girls at the front were so sweet and helpful and patient. We all ordered the lunch special. Everyone loved their food. I ate it for lunch two days in a row. Great portions. The spicy garlic potatoes were amazing. I had the kebob sandwich, the steak was cooked perfect and very tasty. Good size to tabouli and hummus as my sides. We will definitely be back. I want to do a build your own bowl next.

2022-06-28Food was delicious, but their hot sauce is all-out amazing. So many layers of flavor. Dont change a thing with that sauce!

2022-06-19Just awful. I am not sure if it’s always like this or only on the day I ordered but the food was bad! Save your stomach and money! The oiliest tabouli I ever ate, over fried falafel, super sour and salty baba ganouj, I mean there wasn’t any item that I could say “ok. At least this wasn’t bad”. Ah what a disaster
