This place smells so good inside. Everything Ive had here is delicious. The house made tiramisu, pizza bread, bread, subs, deli meats. Not to mention they have a large selection of sauces, pasta and other Italian specialty food items you cant find in other stores.
Yes yes yes. This little market is loaded with fairly priced Italian goods. The breads are so fresh and wonderful. Be sure to pick up some olives from the bar and some spinach artichoke dip.
The smell of the fresh baked bread when you walk on the door is reason enough to go there.
Good store but the prices are not constant because of the market inconsistency. Other than that has almost only oils, wine, and tomato paste. Still great to get Italian food ingredients.

One of my favorite go-to places to pick up some small groceries I need to make a recipe. So nice inside and everything is so organized. The workers are so sweet and are ready to help you.
My friends have been telling me to go here for years. Finally made it in & had a great experience! The staff was so helpful & even a customer made a suggestion. I purchased dough balls, pizza sauce, toppings & frozen ravioli. Fantastic!! I will be a repeat customer.

Loved it!!! Having to go up the steep incline right at the door could have been prevented if spaces next to the building were reserved for handicap parking. The market is wonderful, though. Small and homey-- like a slice of Italy!
As a small boy my father took me here. They still have the same attention to high-quality Italian products with a great selection. It may not be their flagship but it will always be the original. Meat & Cheese, fantastic bread and rolls. Pasta and more. I love this place.
Looks small on the outside but there is a lot of delicious food inside. There was a large selection of fresh made Italian specialties
I had such great dinner experiences here that I hired them to cater my backyard wedding! Martin was absolutely amazing during the entire process. He helped me figure out how much food to order for our crowd size, helped me select the best dishes, set up TWO deliveries to make the event coordination easier, and always responded to my emails promptly! Sam and Lynn, our servers for the event, were incredible! They made everything a breeze with set up, clean up, and even helped with outside food that we added to the menu. I would recommend them for something as easy as dinner or as time consuming as catering to anyone!
Great staff, got a delish gourmet brownie, its a cool little store. Some stuff not priced which was a little irritating but that happens. Id shop here again.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! They have the best of so many items. Cannolis, Italian Sausage, Freshly grated Mozzarella, and Meatballs just to name a few. Also the freshest and best tasting Italian bread ever. I honestly cant say enough good things about this place, they even have some of the nicest employees around, always willing to make a few fresh Cannolis for me!!! Even the Chocolate chips they put on them are amazing. Itd be a waste of time to go anywhere else...
Only place in Michigan to get decent Italian bread. Good variety of meats and cheeses and other Italian specialties. Got some marinated octopus and rolls. I also found a large version of the white balsamic vinegar I use. Prices are very reasonable.
Selection and food are amazing, but oh my gosh is it busy and crowded. It took me 5 minutes just to find a parking spot in their tiny lot. Then waited 15 minutes at the meat counter because it was so busy, then another 15 minutes waiting in line to check out.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Tried their pizza bread (dont tell my wife!), stuffed peppers (the goat cheese stuffed peppadews are like dessert!) and grape leaves. All were very good.
The bakery, pizza dough, olives and deli are superb.I make pizza weekly with their dough and it is our new family favorite pizza.The tiramisu is some of the best Ive had and I love their stuffed and red olives, great parmisano reggiano too.

This is the COOLEST market in Livonia. Walking in feels like walking into another world - a world that happens to smell amazing. My favorite thing about them is their bread - its freshly made every day and absolutely to die for. The deli is also incredible; Im especially partial to their spicy Italian sausage. The staff are usually willing to give recommendations and tastes if you arent sure what to buy, as well. Cantoros also boasts a fabulous olive bar, and some great ready-made Italian food if you are in a hurry. Their center aisles are filled with an assortment of tomato products, wines, and oils (including normal brands at normal prices and unusual, higher quality Italian brands).A word of caution however...they are closed on Sundays, and a cashier recently gave me a heads up that theyll soon be implementing a no-credit-card-for-purchases-under-$5 rule. This doesnt even make them lose points though, because the food is so delicious...and reasonably priced!

Ive Been a regular here since the 80s. The bread and lunch meat are second to none! Try a pizzabread! Ive been to both locations northville is huge and carries a broader selection of prepared foods and wine. I prefer this location for the simplicity, the food quality sells itself.
The original store is like stepping into a slice of Italy. Your first step in the door brings aromas that will make your mouth start to salivate. The smell of fresh baked breads, Italian cheeses and meats, olive bar, etc. intermingle to create this wonderful aroma from my childhood. Stop and grab a loaf of pizza bread and add a little soppressata, Genoa salami, Provolone, with a couple of fresh basil leaves and you will have a special treat that cannot be matched anywhere. Thank you Mario for all the years your family have run this store.
Love this place reasonable price for delicious healthy grab and go food, fresh delly meat, seafood and pastries also fresh bread every morning way, way better than Kroger. This is a must visit and definitely feels like Im getting the best and most for my money in great Italian groceries.
If youre in need of a fresh local market where you can obtain meats, cheeses, produce, spirits, and all things else, this place is for you. Youre paying for quality when you swing around here, the prices can be high, but the deliciousness of their products are higher. Cantoros makes some of their products themselves. They even boast their own cafe. 5 stars for freshness and good service.
This is the best Italian Bakery in the area with great bread and a wonderful deli. The pizza rolls are incredible and they have so many wonderful in house foods you cant even imagine, Great wine selection as well, oh and dont forget the cannoli!!!
Great selection, friendly staff, and the most amazing fresh baked Italian pastries. We only wish it was open on Sundays. Its hard having an espresso at home without their amazing biscotti.

Wonderful abit expensive but expect nothing but the very best quality in fresh bread and food meals that are healthier for on the go. Wonderful customer service very well organized also has a Gluten-free area for people. Their Lazzania, Bread and Grapeleaves totally delicious. Instead of going out for my birthday I get a wonderful fit for any great occasion here. My pets love the bread. Its like as soon as my dog gets a whif of her favorite fresh morning bread from them aka flat bread she only likes certain bread like me the freshness and quality always is a must and this store does an exceptional job on it. Well organized and shelving is arranged nicely easy to find what your looking for.

This tiny store has everything that you need when it comes to Italian groceries. Fresh bread, desserts, cold cuts and Italian standards like homemade sausage, along with olives, pasta and wine. Always worth the trip, but parking can get dicey so be prepared to park at subway (two spots south on Middlebelt) and walk over

This place could be great but like many smaller grocery store/bakeries they try to cram to much stuff in which just makes it hard to navigate. Can barely get down the aisles with a cart and its just a crowded hot mess!

The Absolute freshest, best tasting bread ever.My wife got me addicted to these Italian sandwiches she makes for me with prosciutto salami, hot capocollo, spicy soprassata, mortadello, havarti cheese, roasted red peppers and spread galbani crema bel paese in an Italian sub bun. All ingredients come from Cantoros Italian Market.

THIS REVIEW IS JUST FOR THE BAKERY DEPARTMENT BECAUSE CANTORO MARKET DESERVE MORE THAN 5 STARS IT SELF.Well, I made a cake order for my daughter’s birthday, it was a Moana’s cake style, I had send a picture to them how the cake was supposed to looks like and I told them precisely that didn’t won’t the buttercream but all in fondant, just for this reason I paid 25$ more, but that was what I wanted. They said that they can make this kind of cake. When yesterday me and my husband went to pick up the cake, well, we were much more than disappointed and upset. The cake was covered entirely of buttercream, and we told them we didn’t want it, we paid for FONDANT, and even the style on the top of the cake was totally different. The pastry chef comes to us to listen what was wrong and how to fix it, never said I’m sorry about it, or anything else, she acted like the fault was ours. She brought this cake to the labor and than another person bring the cake to us. We asked some flowers on the top because of the mess she did it, but was no flowers. At the end they wanted just to take it off the 25$ for the fondant, but my daughters birthday cake was ruined, I mean we asked for something, we excepted something like we wanted, we paid for this and than the day we came to pick it up was made in other way?!? Not the way to work, after discussing they discount us of $70. And to be honest, it wasn’t for the 70$, but I was really angry because I imagined the cake in one way and was all ruined. Just if you don’t know to do your job you can move to another department, tell me “I can’t use the fondant” and that’s it. I will never made another cake order here never again. Was so unexpected because I love CANTORO, I’m there to eat lunch every weekend and I love the market, but the bakery is very low level.

They have good colds cuts and fresh bread, plus a great selection of European pantry items..... their prepared food is a bit hit or miss, but overall I would highly recommend!

When I visited a small village in Italy in 2009, the grocery store there was just like Cantoros. With fresh-baked breads and desserts along with a myriad of Italian meats and cheeses, this is where to go for authentic imported Italian foods.

Cantoros has cold cuts, cheeses, breads, pastries, pastas, coffees, genuine Italian products, and olive salads to name just some of whats available there. Small place with lots of products. Reasonably priced too. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but if you go there during off hours, you can avoid crowds and lines. They built the newer and larger store on Haggerty, so thats available as well (the second place has a full trattoria, restaurant, grocery and wine sections). This is a locally owned business, so if you like to support independents and its in the budget, its worth checking out. Both Cantoros are worth checking out just for their own sakes, whether you go with a shopping list or not.
This is the place you go to when you need all things Italian. The pre-prepared food available for sale at Cantoro is amazing. The tiramisu is especially good. Highly recommended.

OMG the best place ever. Katie from the bakery is wonderful; I had a three tier cake made out of cannolis it looked fabulous, and tasted just as great. My Son-in law requested it for their wedding, I looked at every Italian bakery on the eastside. Katie was the only one willing to perform this magic for us. The drive from Warren was definitely worth it. Katie made the most beautiful cake and the big worry with the other bakeries was the cake would not hold up in moving it to the hall. 2022-06-04Poor customer service. I have.been in Cantoris a handful of times and each time I have asked for something and each time noone is able to help me. Amazing how staff are visible with no willingness to get an answer of a question. I have even tried to get help planning a meal for a funeral and the person had no idea how to find the person to order platters. I realize that it is hard to find employees but very limited initiative. So frustrated today that I just left.

2018-06-21This store is a Jewell my friends first time. We stopped a few days ago we sampled the prosciutto and the service was great it helped my friend out of her comfort zone. By the time we left we were smiling and happily filled with flavorful samples, she is a believer in Italian cuisine now.The daily baked breads are wonderful. I purchased the cannelloni stuffed shells they were delicious. I also love the fresh mozzarella cheese balls and they pre-made ready to eat sandwiches for on the go!I originally stopped for fennel sausage, however I had to wait another day they were in process of making some more. I left with spicy and mild sausage. We had spaghetti with both it was Amazing.I returned for the fennel sausage yesterday I am looking forward to eating. My friend stopped also for a Pizza ready to bake! She picked up bread the first time I couldnt resist it the second time we stopped. Cantoro Italian Groceries has another location I hope to visit soon.

2022-02-08My favorite Italian grocery store. Yummy, the staff a very kind and extremely helpful even if you not sure of the name of the item you would like. Two locations one on middlebelt north of 7 mile and the other haggerty and 5 mile.

2021-12-09This store is a cut gem, alright. Talked to 3 people, one for bread, one for meat and one to checkout and all 3 were so cordial and nice. Plus, they have anything you need in that authentic Italian cookbook of yours. Check them out, I drive quite a ways to do so, sometimes.
