Im 64 years old and have bought many cars over the years from dealers. Buying a car this week from the 9th street Kalamazoo CARite was by far the best car buying experience Ive ever had in my life. Taylor was fantastic to work with as was Dustin, who closed the deal with me. There was no pressure or surprises, everything was transparent, friendly, and clear. I couldnt believe there was no pressure of any kind, no last minute surprises, etc. It was like going into a store and buying something off the shelf with an associate helping you carry your items to the checkout. Taylor at Carite in Kalamazoo found me a great vehicle at a great price. She is very willing to work with you, I told her the price, mileage, and type of vehicle I was looking for and she came back to me with a few options, I didn’t have to do the work! Vehicle is still going strong months later with no work done to but an oil change :) I definitely recommend her and this location!
I’ll never go anywhere else for my car needs! Let’s me start by saying this was my first experience financing a vehicle, so naturally I was very anxious because I didn’t want to be taken advantage of. That was never the case, Andy was an EXCELLENT and thorough salesman! Andy explained everything to me so I wouldn’t be confused or mislead, I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. I told Andy exactly what I wanted and he delivered and then some! After finishing up Dustin also made me feel so special with his positive vibes and kind words of encouragement! Overall 10/10 recommend!
Highly recommend Carite. This was the easiest time I have ever had purchasing a car. Preapproved online, went for a test drive the same day and drove out with my new car the following day. Andy was great to work with. Will certainly be a return customer.
I bought a car with Andy at Carite in July 2021.He lied to me about my Cadillac’s warranty coverage once I discovered this (just 4 months later) I tried to call Carite and give them the opportunity to explain to me what happened and correct the error. Instead Andy was combative and hung up on me after placing me on hold to speak to a manger. This was the first car I ever purchased from a dealership and Andy from Carite ruined that experience for me! I will never do business with this establishment again. Do not give your money to faulty salesman who will lie to get a sale and gip you out of your hard earned money!
I went here to look at a 2017 equinox, unfortunately it sold by the time I got there. But Andy went above and beyond to help me find one and through me being a bit indecisive. He even said he would drive to another carite to get me what I want! Luckily the one I wanted came in and he contacted me letting me know! Andy was out the day I bought the vehicle but Dustin was amazing as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice used car!

I had the best car purchasing experience at CARite, thanks to Heath and the entire team. Heath was professional, efficient and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Even when I was frustrated, he worked with my offer and made it happen!! I am very impressed with all of them and I would definitely go to CARite in Kalamazoo first. They even fixed a few things like the tire pressure light and replaced the windshield wiper blade without charging me extra. I thought that was sincere and fair. If you need a car and don’t want pushy sales associates, look for Heath! He was excellent!! I highly recommend Heath and the team in Kalamazoo especially if you are buying your first car.

Heath was great to work with. We couldnt get to the dealership until 6 pm and they close at 7. Heath stayed late to help purchase the vehicle we were there to see. He was very patient and understanding as we were coming to a final decision. We never felt pressured or rushed by him and were able to make our decision with confidence! Overall, it was a great experience.
Today my husband and I became owners of a 2017 Chevy Impala thanks to the hard work that Sherry and Tom I believe put in on our behalf. The vehicle is beautiful, the staff was great and the experience was cool! I would definitely recommend my family, friends and anyone looking for good customer service and an opportunity to buy a car.
I had high hopes for this place. I got a decent vehicle for a good price. But the service was literally the worst Ive ever had at a dealership. Car wasnt detailed when I went to test drive it for starters (dog hair and a biscuit in the seat). I was told I would be provided maintenance records on the vehicle (I wasnt) and when I reached out to get these records, the emails I got back from Taylor were less than helpful. On my way to purchase, I was told she would email me the total price, she never did. I had to run to the bank to get a check after I got there. Paper work had to be redone 3xs after I had sent her a confirmation of my address. I would normally not even write a review, but Im still getting emails from their reps asking if I am interested in purchasing a vehicle. Never again.Side note: I was given a 100 dollar credit to detail the car after purchase, but during a pandemic, that was completely useless as no one was open.(and the excuse as to why it wasnt detailed after I was told, infact it was detailed.)
Great experience here.The Hyundai my wife and I bought had a couple issues our mechanic caught during the used car inspection. The Carite franchise locations (like this one) do not inspect the cars they sell, they are inspected by Carite corporate before they ever get to the lot, so I cant fault the dealer for the car having these issues. They did however do about $850 in repairs to the car, on top of what was already a great deal. We were very happy with the service and the vehicle they provided us with!Thanks Andy!
I was able to find a great, affordable, spacious car because Heath worked with me a lot, he was a straight-shooter, he quickly got the car ready to sell and he was very patient with me and my bank ... all the way through-the-process. This is, definitely, a great place to shop for/buy a car; they made it really easy, and they never pressured me. Mostly, they were concerned I was having a great, satisfying experience.

I was in a bind with money as well as my credit score. They were able to put me in a 2015 car with 38,000.00 on it and I only paid 10,000.00 for it. It was a good deal and there customer service was amazing. They were so supportive and they werent going to stop helping me till they put me in a car. Heath was the gentlemen who helped me out. Best experience ever! They were helpful, informative and not once did you feel the car salesman vibe at all. The managers were so wonderful, you can tell right off the bat theyre not there to rip you off theyre there to help you, to give you the best deal thats going to work for you and your budget. Tre was the sales professional and he did an amazing job. My dad drives by CARite everyday so he suggested I stop in and take a look at their vehicles. Im SO glad I did!! I went to test drive the car I wanted (and purchased that same day) and I had to be some place in 30 minutes. Tre said no problem at all take your time, well see you whenever you get back! There was no pressure at all to buy the car but I was so pleased that I had zero inhibitions about making the purchase.If you need a good quality vehicle-you really dont need to look anywhere else. I went to CARite and I was given a very very nice car and the price shocked me because it was such a great price. I had been turned down by several places that said we finance anybody. I was starting to really feel screwed and had no way to get into a car that was about to kick the bucket. They approved me and even got me out of the car that was getting worse day by day. I was pleasantly shocked when I knew the finance manager, he had helped me before and did it again and everybody there is the friendliest people you can find. I didnt feel hounded down the min. I pulled in. I cant thank everybody there enough I would recommend anybody to go there you will be blown away yourselves

First let me say Steve was a dream to work with. Very elegantly dressed love the bow-tie, well spoken, and made me feel important the entire time I was there. I didnt expect to leave in a car that day, but Steve made it happen! I left in a beautiful new mini van. I thought they forgot to put the back seats in it, but then they showed me how they were stow and go seating. Now me and the whole gang can fit comfortably on our long trips and it drives great. Best experience at a car dealership. Thanks again for the wonderful service!
I’ve had my car for about a year and a half never had any problems, everything has been fine. all of sudden my car stops on me out of no where! I take it to get serviced and they tell me my oil pan has rusted out, my oil is leaking in more than one place, my thermostat housing needs to be replaced along with some type of gasket! The auto service company said this is something that’s suppose to happen 10-15 years down the line not after driving my car for only a year and half! So I automatically call my finance place to see what options I have on getting my car fixed because they told me the total price to get everything fixed will be $3400.00!! My finance companies tells me my car is leased which CARITE never told me! They told me I was financing! Then on top of that my finance company tells me I don’t have a warranty! Which was NEVER OFFERED! Or even mentioned to me as well!!! I honestly feel like I was ripped off and when I called CARITE they told me there wasn’t anything they could do and I’m stuck paying for a car I’ve only had for a year!! I feel like this company definitely ripped me off! I’ve never missed not one payment always made on time payments and now I’m paying on a car I can’t drive because I don’t have the money to get fixed! I will be contacting my ATTORNEY today!
This place provided such an excellent experience. I went in with my mother-in-law to look at cars for her. We had a meeting scheduled with Randy. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by Randy with a warm smile. He walked us over to his desk and pulled out our chairs for us. Just a little bonus, Randy smells great! We had an idea of what she was willing to spend and Randy was able to give us several options in her price range, no pressure to buy something that she couldnt afford. He showed us the options on the computer so that we could see which ones we may be the most interested in and informed us that they have the Car Fax for every car on their lot and that each car is extensively looked over before it is placed on their lot. Randy brought the car around that my mother-in-law was interested in and allowed us to take it for a test drive but not before he kindly helped my mother-in-law adjust her seat to her liking. While on the test drive, he explained many of the features. He made sure that all of our questions were answered, no matter how silly. He was able to get her an absolutely amazing monthly payment that fit well with what she intended to spend and that wouldnt break the bank, despite the fact that her credit is less than ideal. The paperwork was simple and there were no surprises. Once everything was ready to go, Randy took the car to the gas station and gave us $15 worth of gas for free so that we were able to get to where we needed to go. They also let us keep the old car there overnight so that we could make other arrangements for that. Randy offered us drinks and a cushier chair for me because of my bad back just to ensure that we were comfortable. He did not pressure her to buy the car right away or insist that she buy a car that is more expensive. He was kind and funny and I definitely recommend that you see him if youre looking for a great car without any hassle or pressure.
Working with these guys has been amazing, I will never work with another dealer.... Ryan was amazing in getting me exactly what I wanted. Its was great that he could read what I wanted. Tre, Cody and Jay were great as well very helpful and great with our boys. We will be buying our truck from them soon!!! Defiantly a dealer to work with. No pushing in to anything.. NO harping... The people working here go above & beyond to help!! I recently had a tire blow out on the expressway, and Heath, a sales rep at CARite, went out of his way to turnaround/stop & assist me in putting on a spare. Such willingness to lend a helping hand is a rarity. I would highly recommend their service seeing as how this is the level of care they showed a complete stranger, let alone a paying customer!
Although it took a couple weeks because I had the unfortunate experience with a new employee, I would have to say that Rich the employee that helped through this whole process made this the best experience. My Husband and I were there to buy a car and were really impressed with the personal attention that the staff gave us. Everyone was great, but particular praise should go to Troi Thompson. While most auto purchase experiences are long and exhausting, Troi made it enjoyable - and even fun! She is very bright and pleasant and always seemed willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. My husband once ran a coporation and said that he would have loved to have a hundred employees with her drive and attitude. Under New Management is an extreme plus. This is a new team here on 9th Street. These guys offered great hospitality as we looked over several different cars. No pressure and test drives were great. As a special plus, I was able to take a car home overnight to look it over on our own time. Night driving and practicing backing it up in our driveway was a good test. We were in the market for a used SUV and were shopping around at dealers in the area and searching online....we almost had a deal at different dealership but walked away after feeling like they really didn’t want our business. We stopped by CaRite of Kalamazoo and were greeted by Sherri and text drove a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. After driving both we decided on the Pathfinder!This was by far our best car buying experience and we love our Pathfinder so much we referred our daughter to CaRite when she was looking and she purchased a Nissan Altima which she loves!All in all a great place to buy a car! Sherri was great but from what I can tell all the salespersons were.

Really enjoyed doing business with Richard he was a great sales person! Went in with Cash and bought the vehicle out right. Wouldnt want to have a payment with these guys. Also, they seemed very angry that they had to sell me the vehicle out right. Richard is now gone which is unfortunate. Will encourage anyone to do business elsewhere.

Love it... called they got me right in for an oil change. 25.00 for a synthetic blend 5w30 oil change. A real licensed mechanic not some lube tech did the work! Great experience highly recommend!!

The owner gives this franchise a bad name. Do not go to the Kalamazoo location, youll regret it. The Carite, in its whole, is a good company and honest, but not his dealership. He shouldnt be allowed to represent Carite at all. Go to their other locations to purchase and you wont get ripped off. If you do purchase from him, make sure you go over the car and contact with fine toothed comb.

Do not go here, I have gotten better customer service at dollar stores than at this carite. It’s worth to drive to grand ledge and go to that location. Heath and the owner were both extremely rude and combative when all I was doing was trying to finance a car. I was so upset I was shaking, I am taking my business to the grand ledge location.

2022-07-24Definitely the easiest car buying experience I have ever had in my life. I knew what I wanted when I visited the lot and I knew how much I wanted to pay and what I wanted for my trade. I got everything I wanted with no hassle or negotiation. Pete and the team were the easiest to deal with in my decades of buying vehicles. No sharks on the lot, no aggressive sales people and NO high pressure.If you want no pressure, just sales service this is the place to go. Not to mention the great conversation we had while doing the paperwork.Im a new resident to Michigan and I gotta say there is more southern hospitality in Michigan than in Florida.I was treated with respect and as a friend while at Carite. I found a vehicle on Car Gurus, they called and said they would have it out front for me to check out. I drove up, made a test drive, left security deposit and they held the vehicle for me until I had more time to make the deal final a day or two later.They even provided me a full CarFax report and took care of the tag for me (no temporary tag).This place is definitely one of the good guys.

2022-03-05The car had a couple disappointing things on it (tire bulge and minor exhaust leak) Andy got it figured out for us and reimbursed us for a tire after we drove it up the road to discount tire to replace it. Exhaust leak is minor and I will have to take care of that myself. However, it is still a solid vehicle and a very good price.
