They repaired it, again having it for a few days, but to this day there still is an evident glue swipe on the black part of my window. And when I got my car back, there was an ANT infestation. Literally crawling on me while I was driving!

Comment: Recently got rear ended. So devasted for obvious reasons- especially because I only had my car for less than two years. Worst part, insurance policy won’t allow original part because my car has over 24000 miles. To me that’s bogus, regardless of the mileage, my car is under two years and it is not my fault. Their client rear ended me while stopped. Took my to research for a reliable repair shop. Found that Carlsbad Caliber collision has the highest reviews, I carefully read all the reviews, made contact, originally with Mr. Alfonso and he assured me that his can help restore my car to its original state. I live far from Carlsbad but it’s worth it to have my car in good hands. I brought my car there and Mr. Florencio (Aka..Flo) took over the rest of the process, made contact with the responsible insurance company to coordinate and negotiate for me to get original part for my car. He also arranged rental car for me. Flo was amazing, very patient and listen to my concerns, keep active communication in regard to the progress. My car repair was completed within two weeks, looks amazing like nothing ever happened. I am so happy i chose Carlsbad Caliber Collision Center, their whole team was very pleasant to work with, not just Flo, my awesome repair rep but front staff as well. Thank you to the entire team for taking great care of me. Take your car there, you regret!

Despite the few negatives, personally i will bring my Dodge Ram here. I had schooling on autobody and restoration and the best advice i could give is (if your at fault) be more cautious next time. After all you can not make a damaged automobile look brand new again but, be reassured that no matter where you choose to take it they will try their best to do so.

Comment: The team at Carlsbad Collision is spectacular. I had my F250 for about two weeks before a Jeep backed into my truck denting my driver side door . The truck was one of my first major purchases and the accident was stressful. Everyone from the clerks at the desk, the estimator, to the mechanic were reassuring and kept me informed on the maintenance . The maintenance was speedy and they did a great job restoring the driver side door. I appreciate how they communicated during the difference phases of maintenance and their ability to meet the deadline. When I picked up my truck Adrianna did an amazing job handling my truck and even gave me reassurance by explaining how the lifetime warranty worked, ensuring that I retained the proper documentation should I find myself in a similar situation. I enthusiastically recommend Carlsbad Collision .

Comment: I went in this afternoon just before 3pm because my “door open” warning light has been lit up for a week or two- and i also noticed that when I locked my car remotely with my key fob- my horn was no longer working. I googled the warning light, and also why my key fob was locking but no longer honking so I’d be confident I have locked it. The estimator came out heard my story of what was going on, and asked if he could drive it to the back where an experienced Nissan tech was. BTW i have a 2018 Nissan Versa Note I purchased used from a car rental company a few years ago. I have about 71,000 miles on it now. He drove off and i went to the waiting area.He was back within 10 minutes and the problem was solved. The driver seat belt doesn’t recoil fast enough and the door was hitting the frame funny so my impatience had created a situation where I repeatedly tried to slam the door for a while with a metal part of the seatbelt was making it impossible to close because it was not hitting the sensor. The tech here hit the metal near the sensor a couple times and that’s all it took to fix it - and now that i know what was causing it will make me pay more attention to be sure it doesn’t happen again- at least not without my misguided careless contribution. I was in and out in 10 minutes! He restored my faith in the collision industry by his helpfulness

Comment: My car was brought here due to a collision accident. Their employee took two days to file my paperwork to start working on the car stating he never knew I signed them. Which is funny because I called to verify after I sent the paperwork in that they received it. To which he stated yes I did thank you. But then never filled it correctly until I called for an update on the car. It took over a month to fix a bumper and after calling multiple times and leaving multiple messages someone finally either answered or called me back. Their communication is poor and you will never get a straight answer. They do not seem to communicate within the company or to their customers. If you would like to know what is happening with your vehicle this is not the place for you. If you would like you vehicle fixed in a timely fashion this is also not the place for you. If you enjoy micromanaging a company to make sure they are doing their job then by all means pick this place.

Comment: Brought my car here through an insurance claim, wrong choice. I typically dont like to leave poor reviews, however the level of communication and professionalism was horrible. They had our car there for 6 WEEKS for one single damaged door. The only reason it got done was because we called probably 30 times and rarely got a hold of anyone. When I went in to pick up my car, the lady at the front desk was helping me and there was an obviously newer employee at the desk behind her. When the phone rang (still about 10 minutes before closing) she yelled at the newer employee Dont answer that! Now I see they actually literally were ignoring all our calls.

Comment: Everything was handled poorly. Alfonso, who was my contact was kind and tried to be helpful but the shop couldn’t have been worse. My car had a ding in the door and mirror from another car opening it’s door into mine. Sounds simple, right? Well, the repair took 6ish weeks. They honestly couldn’t do one thing right. Timeliness was a major concern. I made the mistake of accepting the response that they couldn’t give me a estimated repair time until they took the car apart. Well once it’s apart you can’t really go anywhere else…The repair shop took responsibility for a a number of major errors on their part. When they asked how they could “make it up to me”, I pointed out a small paint chip on the hood and asked if they could paint it during the rest of the paint repair. They assured me, “consider it done”. Well, they painted it. It was still wet when I showed up. Looks like they used white out. I’m out of words for the level of frustration I experienced. Don’t use this shop.

I actually thought 3 days was a long time for such minor repairs. Well 3 days turned into 3 weeks. What was most disappointing was the attitude of our representative and his supervisor. Neither would even discuss how they could have provided such an inaccurate time estimate, nor did it even seem to cross their minds to apologize (even halfheartedly). If we ever need an auto body repair in the future I know exactly where we WON’T be going.

Comment: I took my car last year to get fixed from a car accident and when they returned my car there was some paint chipped that it wasnt there so before I drove off I called the manager to come see the problem. I showed them the before pictures where it showed there was no chipped paint and the after pictures and he checked the bumper and said there was some other chipped paint. I told him I was not complaining about my bumper but the part where the paint was chipped that it was not there when I turned in my vehicle that i should get my vehicle the way i left it besides the part where i got hit. He didnt want to solved my problem and tried to blame it to the Toyota dealer where i bought my car which was not their problem because it happened at their shopped. Wasnt satisfied the way they handle the problem. They never fixed it.

I had all the information in the initial email and I verbally described the damage before bringing the car for estimate and no one said anything until after I got approval from my insurance. I made an appointment for the repair yesterday and today I got a message from my insurance (not Carlsbad Collision) that they would not do the repairs.I had to call to find out why.All they had to to was tell me but they did not feel it was necessary which is baffling.

Comment: Came to Carlsbad Collision based on the good reviews, but should have read further into them, because every one star review they have proven to be true over and over again.Needed a repair after a small collision in a parking lot. Damage to the two passenger doors. They estimated the job to be completed in 7-8 business days. Fine. Got a rental car and went on my way. Called at the end of the 8th business day for a status update, was informed that they need an additional three days. Frustrating but fine. Called on the 4th day, told the the car would be ready at the end of the following business day. Great. I’m getting my car back, returned the rental car and went to pick up my car, they proceeded to say they need another two days as they are missing a part. Extremely frustrating. I can go into further datail but will save everyone an essay. This dance continued on for another 2.5 weeks.They had my car for a total of 5 weeks for a 7-8 day estimate. No communication, no follow-up, no one knows what’s going on. The people who do are always out to lunch or left early for the day. This has been a very frustrating experience and do not recommend anyone do business with this shop.

They recommended Carlsbad Collision Center for the repairs, so I just went with them hoping there would be no fuss. Geico were actually really good about getting my car in within 5 days of the accident.Things started to go awry after I had checked my car in. A few days later I called to see what the status was. It took 3 calls over the course of 2 days for someone to call me back, which caused frustration on my part. It was explained to me that the part needed was on back order and would take 10 days or so to get in, which was fine with me as I had a paid rental car.After 11 or 12 days they called me to say my car was ready, so I went to pick it up. Signed the documents to release my car and was given the keys, but on inspection I realized the work done was not up to par. Firstly the color of the replaced bumper didnt match. Also the masking job they did on the paint was very 2nd rate. Wavy lines and over-spray. There were also green pen marks on the replaced bumper. To top it off they had parked my car under a sappy tree and it was totally filthy.The adjuster recognized that the job done was not up to standard and promised Id have my car fixed (again) back to OEM in a day or so.I called 2 days later and was told my car was ready for pickup. I asked for it to be washed, and for the work to be double checked.This 2nd time my car was perfect and clean, inside and out.Im glad to get my car back but the work carried out here (just a rear bumper and related attachments) should have been perfect first time.They were apologetic, but thats not the point.Please watch the quality control if u must have work done here.For sure I will never return.

Right when I walked in I was greeted with nothing but smiles and pure professionalism from the ladies at the front desk. It’s nice to walk into this kind of vibe. Especially, when visiting a Collision Center.Except, Jose one of the assessors made it all that much better! He came down the hall with out any waiting at the front desk and assessed my issue and let me know exactly what my next steps would be. Everything he said was clear and made sense as opposed to some auto repair places that can quote a lot higher.After I was finished with Jose the Center offered a generous shuttled ride back home of which the driver was very respectful.My car only took one entire work day which i thought was more than fair. The people at Carlsbad Collision Center were nice, efficient, and with fair prices.If you want a good experience I RECOMMEND this place of business to anyone that has to go to an auto repair or collision center!

Highly recommend, and will definitely go back, should I need to!I had a bad experience with a woman named Day, at Big O Tire, in Carlsbad, earlier that morning. Day quoted me $40-$100 max for the service I needed, then told me it was $180 once my car was apart. She never forewarned me there would be a $30 charge regardless. When I argued the $30 charge, she threatened to report me for non-payment. When I asked to whom, she said, “You’ll have to find out.” This is after I had just spent roughly $500 on parts and labor with them just the week before. Day was rude and miserable. Luckily the owner was cool and told me I could just go. So glad I went to Carlsbad Collision Center. Turned my day around.

Comment: I was told the repair would take 3 days. It took 10 days. I was told it would be ready for pick up at 4pm. I got there and had to wait 2 hours before it was actually ready. Not everything was repaired because the guy who did one of the jobs was out while my car was in the shop. I was told I would receive a refund for that part of the work. I have received no refund. They do good work when it finally gets done, but dont trust anything they tell you.

It was parked under a sappy tree and so dirty and parked in front of landscape sprinklers that got water spots all over front of car. So disappointed they cared so little about the appearance and condition at time of pickup. Would not use them again. Hoping this was not a strategy to his poor workmanship. We will see after I go get it detailed.

Carlsbad Collision spoke with Honda regarding a Honda recall for defective paint on this model year. As a result the entire automobile was repainted – at no cost - and restored to showroom level. During the entire paint restoration my interactions with Carlsbad Collision were very professional, punctual and courteous. The finished result was amazing; I cannot recommend this company more highly.

Carlsbad Collision Center did a good job repairing the damage and communicating with the insurance companies and giving me updates. They also coordinated with Enterprise Rent-a-Car next door to have me shuttled over to the rental lot, and when it came time to return the rental cars I only had to leave the keys with the Carlsbad Collision Center front desk and leave the rental car in front, a major convenience for me. Overall simple and straightforward interactions with zero billing surprises.

Comment: It all started when another car did not see my parked car and bumped into it. I took my car for repair to Carlsbad Collision Center. Jose was the gentleman who assisted from the estimate to the end of the process. He let me know in detail what needed to be fixed, and kept me updated with with phone calls and VM. Once I picked up my car I was able to drop off my Enterprise rental there! So easy and such service 10 of 10!!

Comment: Geico sent me here as their approved facility. Adjuster was very rude and I decided to find my own shop. This place is approved by geico because they cut corners and do hack job repairs. I reviewed their estimate with another local shop that I am very happy with and he showed me where they cut corners on the estimate. They wanted to repair my door vs. getting a new skin (which my shop did). Glad I left. Find your own shop based on your own research and visits.

Comment: Good work but a tiny $5 thing was stolen from my car here. So I wont do business with people that take things from your car no matter how trivial it is. Thats just bad business after a car accident, you need to be able to trust the people whos hands you left your car to, to do the right things all the way around. Especially after an accident. Also they didnt finish with my protective coating while it was in their care. I was told I would need to bring it back in 30 days for that repair. After them taking something from my car I have not wanted to return to their shop.
