Comment: My experience was not good.1-They damaged my seat and gaslighted meI had dropped my car off and went to get and rental I came back to get my stuff from the car. I saw the seat had been damaged between the time. I notified them and I was told it would be fixed.Then I call to make sure it would be taken car off and they Josue pretended not to know about it I followed up back and forth with him and finally got a call fro ArshakArshak told me he had not seen that damage in his 25 years of working there and it was I who damegaed it. I told him I had pictures of the car also a pre inspection report where they went over every damage including interior that was done by Josue and I had a copy for that. I was told that report was irrelevant. Nevertheless they fixed it but it does feel a little different.2- They damaged my bumper and told me it was not covered. The bumper was scrapped when they took it out even though they didn’t finish the bumper they should have touched up the part that was damaged during disassembly. I understand if insurance doesn’t cover it, but if the shop damages something they should finish it up.3- My rear view camera is blurry. My rear camera is extremely blurry they probably smudged it while putting it up4- There are micro scratches all over the car even the areas that were supposed to be fixed.5- Micro dents on the hood were not fixed. I was told to come in next week to get it finished and not wash my car. They filled them up.6- Mirrors were also not finished even though they were a part of the damage . Was told to come next week7- They also tried to get rid of me when I was pointing out the damages and stuff that needed reworkAll in all I’m unsatisfied by over 8 k repair and I would have loved a little bit more professionalism on the actual work that was done on the car. They didn’t even start working on the car until Tesla approved their second supplement saying they are gonna do it all at once.The car was rushed and not given the care it was needed. They are really good talkers but I don’t know about the quality of work

Comment: Best body repair shop ever, l drive from the valley to Pasadena to get my car repaired, there professionalism the repair quality is unseen unmatched from any other Bodyshop if you want your car repaired right this is where you take it ( specially, the service advisor I was working with his name is Keven and Steve )Every step of the way was very transparent,This is my 3rd car they have repaired for me I will always go to ( CARSTAR Douglas auto body )

Comment: Terrible. Seven weeks, and Im STILL not done dealing with this business. SMH.They put a Chip in my Passenger side window tint so check your Car Completely for any Damage that may have occurred during their repairing of your vehicle. Ive included photo with this review.Good Luck if you decide to go with this particular Carstar.The Last two photos I just submitted you can see the difference in the molding on the top of the passenger side door. The photo at the dealer is how it shouldve looked the photo in my driveway is what the result was when CARSTAR Finished their repair. It has been adjusted since, back to its factory finish, but it took six months to get that result. If I didnt bring it to their attention I wouldve been stuck with THEIR final result.They Do Tesla Well, apparently from all the rave reviews, but inspect your car thoroughly, if its not a Flimsy Tesla.

Comment: I would like say this is place is the best because I got my Tesla Model 3 on march 28 and the day I got it I scratched it and I didn’t know where and who too go, but then few months back I went to Tesla and they told me about car about Douglas auto body and it’s was my best decision too come too them especially Josue he was was very helpful and beyond he explained everything my car was gonna get fixed and they did an awesome magical work and help my car look new again and I only been having it new for 6 months and new again I would come back too them 100% no regrets. I recommend anyone too come here for any problem u have with you car. They’re the best.

Comment: I can’t recommend Douglas Auto Body. After taking my Model 3 to then for two different accidents, I can say that their quality control is nonexistent. The first accident required replacing the front left fender, bumper cover, and cleaning some wheel scuffs. The bumper came out great, but the new fender had an indentation in it and did not sit flush against the body. The wheel also seemed to have a more glossy finish to it than the others and looked noticeably different. I brought it up to them and they just brushed me off, saying you’re just not used to seeing it so clean.The second accident required the right fender to be replaced and scuffs removed from the right side door. They also said they’d fix the left fender alignment. Regarding the left fender, the indentation seems to be gone, but there’s now an abrasion that goes all the way past the clear coat to the paint.However the most INSANE thing I discovered was when I went to use my windshield wipers. I press the button and instead of the normal motion, they come up a few inches and the passenger side wiper bends up in an arc and flips over the front of my hood. Turns out they somehow installed the fender OVER the wiper, causing it to be stuck and get hooked over my hood when I went to use it. I was able to pull it loose, but a piece of the wiper is now missing. I since called them and have yet to hear back after a week. I honestly feel the urge to report them to Tesla to have their “official association” revoked.Everyone here is friendly and seemingly knowledgeable. They have Tesla signs all over the place, and clearly tons of them come through all the time. I just don’t get it.

Comment: I had a car accident april 20, and had to go Tesla Certified body shop. I was referred by Tesla Alhambra to this place. The repair stop was huge and very well organized, they explained thoroughly as not many people are familiar with handling car accident processes. They talked to my insurance and insurance updates all the rest. I didn’t have to spend ton of time dealing with phone calls or documents etc. one stop for all even for your rental cars. Took about 2weeks to get all the parts replacing and about 10 days to repair my tesla back bumper and trunk lid. They frequently called me to inform me which part of the repair is being done and letting you know when it will be completed. Today I received my car and wow.. it’s a brand new car!! They even detailed my car inside outsides where there were tons of kids trash and crumbs. Huge thanks for the Carstar Douglas Auto Body!! 6 stars!!

Comment: I brought my Tesla Model 3 in on 10/22/22. Arshak was very helpful. I never trust insurance body shop because they don’t care how it gets fixed. We had some hiccups with my insurance but Arshak worked with me to resolved the issue. I have a 30days car rental agreement with my insurance and the body shop completed the repairs within 20 days. That’s super fast. I didn’t think that was possible. They are the best body shop in the Los Angeles area for Tesla cars. It’s no wonder they have great reviews and ratings. They are willing to work with you. In the past, I had brought my car to another body shop and the job wasn’t as great as this body shop. I highly recommend them to fix your car especially for Tesla owners. Thank you 🙏 Carstar for a wonderful service.

Comment: My car got hit on the back passenger door and above the frame of the wheel. I contacted a few auto repair shops. Carstar Douglas came to the rescue after another shop ghosted me. Steve helped me out with the difficult insurance company representative. He was very professional and informative about the steps I needed to take and kept me updated with the repairs. Comment: Got into a minor incident and the bumper and lights on my 3 month old Model 3 were cracked. Very glad I chose this place for repairs! They are Tesla certified and know their stuff. Ended up replacing the bumper and right head/fog lamps as well as parking sensor. I was helped by Josue and he was very on top of letting me know the progress. When it was done the car looked better than when I took it in. Very pleased with their work.

Comment: Exceptional service and communication. Highly recommended for certified Tesla repairs, as they use genuine Tesla parts and follow proper guidelines to ensure that the job is done right. I had multiple repairs performed at the same time on my Model 3 (glass replacement, paint, camera repeater replacement), and was extremely pleased with the final result, which brought my car back to factory condition. Comment: My Tesla Model S had SIGNIFICANT damage after an attack in Los Angeles during the 2020 riots. The doors were crushed in by an attacker who slammed into the drivers side with his vehicle full speed/head-on. Both doors hardly opened and neither of the door handles were working anymore. Anyone who has owned a Model S knows that the door handles are a difficult engineering problem and very few repair shops want to deal with it. Douglas Auto Body took my car in and gave me full confidence and were in constant communication with me, updating me every day, and putting my mind at ease. They bent over backwards for me when the supply chains delayed them getting the door handle parts from Tesla and I had to pay for a rental car beyond what my insurance policy allowed. They made sure to handle everything professionally and fairly and eventually, got everything fixed as good as new. Jack and Arshak were especially helpful and I couldnt be more grateful for this body/repair shop.

But finally I found a company who was 100% on point from start to finish. They promised a deadline and beat it by a few days. Comment: It was an excellent experience with the Staff at CARSTAR Douglas Auto Body. My car was damaged by a person who tried to rob me in my car at an intersection during a red light. He was definitely hopped up on something. Needless to say, he used a knife to scratch my rear corner panel and he also stabbed my hood so hard the knife folded on his hand. He did a lot of damage. The entire rear fender on the passenger side and the entire hood were reworked and repainted. The surfaces were entirely restored to match the factory including the restoration of pitting on the hood that was not part of the insurance claim. Paint matching and blending are excellent. Orange Peel is minimal, not more than the original factory, and will eventually shrink as the clearcoat hardens. All the sanding and reworking of the damaged areas of the surface was done with great care and sensitivity. Therefore the reflections are perfect as intended by the original design of the car. Uninterrupted by any sort of surface imperfections. Excellent work. I would say, as good as it gets. Thank you Hector, Ashak, and crew for taking care of me.

As other reviewers had commented, I found the staff extremely professional and exhibit a high quality of service. The team here worked hand in hand with my insurance company to ensure a seamless process in estimating the cost of the repairs, addressing the car as a total loss and guiding me through the entire process. The manager, Arshak, personally showed me the extensive damages caused from the collision after removing the bumper and why the vehicle was no longer safe to drive. Comment: There is no substitute for the warmth and care you get from a family-owned business. Pictured below is my good ole Nissan, whose name is Mālie. Mālie is the Hawaiian word for calm or peaceful. She is 9 years young this year and has come across the continental US with us -- we bought her brand new in Miami and have moved from there to Houston and then to Pasadena, CA.Last week, I got into a little fender bender and the back bumper was dented. Honestly, the car was still drivable and Mālie had a number of love tap wear and tear scars that it didnt phase me. Oh and the door locks stopped working on auto so we have been manually dealing with the doors. So its been a little old school but Mālie is sturdy!And then I got the quote from my insurance. Now Im no expert but I was fairly sure the damage was not worth paying the deductible and risking that my policy premium would go up.Thats when I went shopping around and came to Douglas Auto Body. They took all the stress out of the process, including that the interior of their shop reminded me of a hotel lobby! Each staff member was attentive and instantly made me glad I went for another quote. The owner and general manager, Armen, honestly treated me as if I was a member of his family. You cant fake that kind of customer service, especially when it comes to getting your car fixed.They hardly had Mālie for a week and she was ready. I felt like I was on some car reality show and it was the big reveal! She looks and feels brand new, and I didnt sell my soul for the cost of repairs. I also would say that I would have paid more simply because of how amazing of a family business this is.Suffice it to say, I highly recommend this shop when you are looking for repairs!
