Comment: My insurance company referred me to this body shop, but I had a terrible experience. When I received my car after a week, it was in bad condition with visible paint marks all over the body. The spare tire was not in its place in the trunk, and the right side door was dented. When I raised these issues, they sent someone to remove the dent at my work location. A few weeks later, I noticed that the left rear door lock didnt work with the key fob, and it was from the side that was repaired. I took the car back to the body shop and waited for one hour until they diagnosed the issue. They said one part was broken, and we needed to order it. They asked me to bring the car back the following Monday. I returned the car to the body shop on Monday, and the person who received my car opened the trunk and took a picture. I had some tools in my trunk for my overnight work. Replacing the broken part took them 40 minutes, and I received the car. The next day, I went to my overnight work and noticed my Dewalt drill and cable tester were missing from the trunk. I emailed the manager asking if they removed anything from the trunk and didnt hear back from them. I reported the stolen tools to my insurance, and after my insurance agent called them, someone from the body shop reached out to me and asked about the details of my missing drills. Its been two weeks since they called, and Im still waiting for someone to contact me. Im disappointed about my experience with this body shop. Not only did they not do a professional job, but they also took my tools!

Comment: I accidentally found CarStar after I received 2 quotes from nearby shops. I was looking for a 3rd quote before I made my decision. Thank GOD I found CarStar. They were the cheapest quote to repair my back bumper, which had fallen off completely (no accident. I parked weird and hit something to make my bumper fall off). I just showed up, unannounced on a Monday....I spoke with Kevin (and another gentleman) about a quote. They wasted no time in providing me the quote or answering my questions which included how I was going to rent a car. They cover a certain amount of your rental car, they arrange your pick up and you return the car to CarStar and the rental agency comes and picks up the car. It took a total of 2 days for them to repair the bumper. The communication was OUTSTANDING and the bumper looks perfect. Perfect match paint wise also!! Not to mention, the car came back washed inside AND out!!Look no more.....THIS IS THE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CAR.Single Mom on a tight budget and payed out of pocket!! Very grateful for CarStar.

We had plans to take the car to Mammoth that following weekend and I was concerned that there wouldnt be enough time to get it repaired on time for the trip. Huy assured me that there wouldnt be any issues after checking how long it would take to get the parts and he definitely kept his word! I felt so bad for having such a tight deadline, but he worked efficiently and my car looks great. On top of that, my cars TPMS light has been on for a while now, and it was fixed after getting my car back. They also washed and cleaned the inside of my car before I picked it up. We had a silly little situation after getting the car back, and James quickly helped with that. It was a really wonderful experience overall.

Comment: Wish I could give this business 6 Stars. My insurance company (State Farm) had them on their list of approved/recommended body shops for my covered repair. It was easy to schedule an appointment for an estimate which took about 20-30 minutes. They ordered the parts and then called me for an appointment for me to drop off my car. They got my car back to me about a week sooner than estimated and when I picked it up, I noticed that they fixed some minor damage that wasnt even part of my quote. I assume it was an easy fix but how many businesses go out of their way to satisfy their customers these days? They even washed my car before returning it. Ill add that all of their staff are extremely friendly and professional. While I hope I never need their body repair services again, I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

Customer Service then called me and said they were going to charge me for storage charges because insurance wasnt paying them. A neighbor backed into my car and when I asked my insurance(AAA) for their best reference, they referred me to Carstar Mclaren in lake forest! I was helped by Alec O. And he was incredible!!! He communicated super quickly with me and my insurance and everything was incredibly streamlined! I got my repair done in 2 days! Looks brand new and I received it back shiny, new and clean! Comment: Went in because my driver side window was not working and wouldnt go up. They checked it out and told me what was wrong with it. I worked with Dustin, and he was beyond helpful. I needed a piece replaced that they did not have in stock. They were up front and told me how much everything would be. Gave me the option to order the oem part or the after market one and gave me quotes on both, they told me that the after market would be less expensive but I chose to go with the oem because Ive already had bad experiences with aftermarket parts. (Not at this shop.) We ordered the parts and made the appointment. They were awesome enough to duct-tape the window closed while we waited for the part to get there! (Which would not have taken long, but i went in on Friday morning and they close on the weekends.) The first visit (when they told me what I needed) i was not charged anything. The appointment we had made ended up not working for me and I called and they were very helpful in rescheduling for me. I went in on my next appointment day and they fixed it up for us and charged exactly what they had quoted. They even gave the car a good wash! (Of course they asked first if I wanted to wait a little more to get that done.) I was thinking they were going to charge something for that, and I would have been more than ok with that( my car really needed it) but it was complimentary! Overall, great great experience. Will definitely be coming back whenever the car needs something. Super clean and modern facilities and great staff.

Comment: Over due review. They do not honor their warranty on paint jobs with out receipt! They were able to find all the info on their system and even printed it out... then they say I need the reciept.I dont have it so theyll have the owner call me.. He never did so I called back weekly, each time I called they will give me the run arounds, put me on hold for awhile then tell me theyll get back to me...After 3 years the paint was faded and flaking off until you can see the metal. This was a $3000+ job..
