Casa Real in other cities:
Had a wonderful lunch consisting of fresh authentic chips and salsa as a dine in appetizer, 3 authentic beef tacos and a house margarita (all pictured with a smile for the photographer) for less than ten dollars. So much food that I couldnt finish it all. Well done Casa Real. I love you.
What a lovely Restaurant...The decor and artwork of Mexican scenes, daily life are everywhere...beautiful...and a nice plaza type...water fountain in the dining area going..nice atmosphere. The tortilla chips and salsa brought to your table ...very tasty..And the quesadilla rellena..was a very pretty dish..as well as delicious..had the beef..or you can have chicken..Prices are very reasonable...had the lunchtime menu / prices...what a feast.definitely worth a stop here...for authentic Mexican fare. .just delicious.
Part of the Tres/Three Amigos chain. Always great food. If your eating in, the Easter egg on the menu at all locations is the 3 chicken or beef tacos for $4.99 (American or Mexican) under the sides tab. The shredded chicken is a home run. You can upgrade to grilled chicken or steak for just a bit more, if you prefer.
Casa Real is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants you will find, probably ever. Our orders came out crazy fast, and looked amazing. Portions here are HUGE and the food is AMAZINGLY delicious. They definitely care about presentation; I ordered the taco salad - it came out looking like a giant taco! The horchata is to die for. I would eat here every day if I could. Seriously THAT good.
This is one of my husband and Is favorite mexican restaurants. They were super busy tonight, which is a Friday. The staff was on top of it! Our food was out before we knew it. We had barely had time to eat any of the endless chips and salsa before it arrived. Staff was really nice, we had a great date night. My husband couldnt even finish his because it was so filling. We ended up needing to go boxes.
Outstanding service by Mario!!! Wow, thats how service should be! Portions perfect size for price. Burrito Grande chicken, sprinkled with raw onions is mine picture! Prefect mixture of veggies beans cheese sauce! Temperature was just right! If in the area I recommend eating here!!!
Loved it, just a minor thing, I ordered a bistec a la tampiquenia, comes with t-bone steak, beef enchilada, tostada, baked potato, rice, beans, ok, now, my tostada came wet! Soaking wet. Soggy, limp, I couldnt pick it up. Tostadas should be served separately in their own plate away from juices of other foods that come with the dish. . Other than that,. It was awesome, great place, I highly recommend this place. Id come back on my next visit to Michigan.
When I had visited several years ago, I was not happy with the quality and taste of the food- it just tasted bland and was pricey for what was received. Fortunately, they have made some changes and when I came back again this past weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to see new menu options, in addition to fast service. I ordered shrimp tacos on corn tortillas (with cilantro and onion) and there was so much shrimp - such a satisfying meal! I also love that you can order sides or al cart instead of going with one of the larger meal combos.
40 minutes from seated till got food. Wednesday In July around 6:40pm. Staff was friendly and apologized as kitchen was busy. Food was good. Hot humid day A/C was cool at back half of restaurant. Front half was a bit too warm. Maybe heat from the kitchen. Perhaps an issue with A/C. Would like to go again when not so hot & busy.
Always a generous portion of great tasting food. Pico is fresh and tasty. Chips are always just made fresh. Only disappointment is the salsa is refrigerated, and hardly pours out of the little bottle. We had drinks for change this time, and they did not disappoint. The place was packed, inside and out. Not sure how they do it but you always get your food pretty quickly. We will be back
Hands down my favorite restaurant! The fajitas fundida is worth a try for sure its more then enough for two people! The chips and salsa is like no other! This restaurant is lovely inside its very colorful and vibrant nothing else quite like it around here. This building used to be a laundry matt actually!
Ordered the fajitas, food was cooked well and more importantly, properly seasoned. They use yellow corn tortillas which, to me, is another plus. The rice was awesome, not overcooked. The tequila sunrise was delicious as well! Will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu.
The food and atmosphere are great. It always seems clean when we dine in, and the fountain is a really nice touch. The service sometimes is a bit scarce, and when they do come to the table, they are rushing quite a bit. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place.
This past Friday was our last visit here. Three times now I had ordered steak fajita, no rice, extra beans. Simple order, you would think they cant screw this up. Well they have. One time, no beans, extra rice. No beans. Last time, no rice and what looked like a spoon of beans. The steak mix had 20% steak, rest was un cooked onions and green peppers. Cold and crunchy. And again no shells. Next order will go to that little Burrito shop in Allegan.
Blows the other Mexi places in BC and the Zoo out of the water! Theyve got a water fountain in the middle of the restaurant - so relaxing to listen to. The portions are generous. The salsa is addictive - ha ha. The chips come out warm. The place is big & not crowded. The service is fast & servers are attentive. Oh - and the drinks....lol...fabulous!
Love this place. Fast and friendly service, huge portions, tasty food, and pretty good prices! Im also a big fan of the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, the restaurant is known for the water fountain in the middle. Ive been to other Mexican resturants and its very hard to find anything better than this one, hands down my favorite.
Its a place with a really great taste, good prices and awesome and kind staff, so servicial girls. The only reason a give them 4 starts is because I think they could use some more variety in beverages and sauces. I was dreaming in a glass bottle of Mexican Coca Cola, and actually this is the first Mexican food place where I dont get one.But you should come and try it, their food is just so delicious!
Havent tried much other than the fajitas. But wouldnt go anywhere else for them! The price is amazing. Service is usually on par. I 9 times out of 10 order for carry out. They are always so nice! Chips and salsa are amazing, freshly fried chips and fresh salsa to boot! Portions are crazy big. A dbl order of chicken Fajitas feeds my family of three for two meals! Totally worth the trip out of town to grab an amazing dinner!
Ive never had bad food here. Its amazing. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area. We have taking many of our friends here and the service is always fast food is hot and lots of it. If your there during happy get a margarita but dont be fooled just because its happy hour doesnt mean your getting less. If your looking for great food and in the area you need to try it you wont be sorry.
Authentic Mexican food at its best! Casa Real is one of those restaurants that overflow your plates and overfill your bellies. Not only do they give you BIG portions, but they also give very flavorful dishes and the workers here were very friendly and interpersonal. Casa Real offers many dinner combos, desserts like flan and fried ice cream, and can deliver up to 3 miles from the restaurant. It took $35 to feed our family of four, and by the time we started to unbutton our pants because of how full we were, we STILL had food left over! So while many mexican restaurants will make you sweat because of the damage they do to your wallet, no extra deodorant will be needed when coming to Casa Real.
Newly remodeled extensive menu options with a wide variety of very authentic Mexican food. The drinks are reasonably priced and extremely good. Very busy after 5pm most nights with very little wait. The staff are very cordial and very prompt. Fresh hot chips delivered to your table with a tasty freshly made salsa. Have yet to try everything on the menu, but the California Burrito with steak and shrimp is my usual go to choice.
Touch and go here sometimes its really good sometimes its really bad portions are big and are usually worth the money just this last time I ordered the burrito Monterey which has beef chicken and shrimp...I found beef and chicken but only 1 shrimp in the whole burrito and its a huge burrito will probably be back but not on busy days
Weve been here plenty of times, the food is pretty good.Sometime the ambiance just sucks. The lady owner generally lacks any social skills, ie; rarely greets customers, appears to not care if youre enjoying her establishment. The waiter we had last is normally a good server, this time, he threw the plates on table, never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or chips. Shoddy.
This is a restaurant that is been above-average in quality, service, and value since the day it they opened. All the food Ive ever ordered is fantastic and the chips and salsa that are complimentary are amazing. Theres enough seating where you can almost always get in without much of a wait, but if there is a wait its well worth it. Also, the time it takes for your food to come from the kitchen is really quick so if youre on a time constraint for having lunch or dinner and getting out of there you really dont need to worry here. Its a family-owned restaurant and everyone there from the owners and managers to the wait staff to the busing crew are really great people and go above and beyond to make sure your time there is enjoyable.
If your looking for good authentic Mexican food then youve found it, and there 3.99 line margaritas are to die for. My girlfriend and I made it one of our date night spots. You wont be disappointed, plus they bring you out there housemade chips and pico de gallo, which are free btw😁😁👌
The place was warm and inviting. Our waiter was prompt to seat us. He also was quick to get our drinks answer any questions. He also was quick with answers about our concerns about allergies. Loved the food. Everything fresh and delicious. The guacamole was so fresh and amazing. Loved all of it. THANKS JAVIER and the kitchen staff. We will be back.
I I really enjoy taking my whole family to this place we eat a lot of food for decent prices. All of the food seems very fresh and has an authentic Mexican taste. The other thing that always surprises me is how fast the food is ready. The only thing that kept them from five stars is the place needs maybe a little music or lighten up and just have a good time. Very good overall.
I ordered the Mexican pizza. It is amazing. I like to order things I dont make at home (tacos, burritos, enchiladas) so it was awesome. They have shrimp, steak and chicken with a great cheese sauce and pepper, onions. I was overall happy, but the server we had seemed to have more tables than he could be attentive to. Still really happy with the quality of the food. We will be back again.
I took my girlfriend here for a quick date night. When we pulled up the place wasnt that busy (30%-40% capacity). We were seated quickly and then ABANDONED. It took 10-15 min to place a drink order and once again forgotten about for another 10 minutes when we were already prepared to order due to the already long wait while the staff stood around talking with each other. Once our food got to our table it was delicious, only to be followed by continued horrible service. Our glasses were empty more often than not and we couldnt wait to pay our bill and be on our way. Overall it was a nice food but they definitely need to be trained in basic table service and hospitality.
This has newly become one of my more favorite Mexican restaurants. It is clean and tidy the staff is punctual and the food taste great without being terribly expensive. I always bring home leftovers after eating here as the portions are exceptional. I would suggest stopping in and giving it a try.
Hubby and I stopped in after a movie, seated right away, order taken pretty quickly. Drinks, chips and salsa quickly too. Place was clean and nicely decorated. Usually your order comes out super quickly....it was a bit longer than usual, but by no means slow. Still came out fairly quick....hubby had a chicken nacho plate and wow it was huge!!! I had a chicken Quesadilla, tons of chicken on both dishes...excellent. I can without reservations recommend this restaurant!!!
I eat out often and have never been treated as poorly as I was here. We came in to grab a quick bite towards the end of the evening. We ordered right away, and the food came fast, as if it were just microwaved. Another family came in about 10 minutes after us, and the staff started speaking in only Spanish and were obviously mad that they came in and just glared at them. My son stopped in 10 minutes before they were to close and was told the kitchen is closed but he could have something to drink. At 9:10 the manager started turning the lights on and off and glared at us as if to say get out!! We did! When I paid he did not speak to me at all and just continued to glare at us. The food was not that great and the unkindness and ungratefulness of some in this business is why I would not recommend this resteraunt.
Good food, good prices and very accommodating to the whole family. We went for my wifes birthday with a party of 13 and we were seated instantly. Our food was brought out in short time and all of it was very good. We sung happy birthday to embarrass my wife and later our waitress brought out a sombrero and some sopapilla for her and had us sing again. It was unexpected but it turned out very fun and extremely funny. Burrtio Monterey was excellent as always and almost too large to finish. Would definitely recommend.
Food was excellent, establishment seemed clean. Server was super rushed and borderline dismissive. I feel like there couldve been better staff communication but honestly these were small issues with a pretty good lunch. Small eaters be warned to expect large servings!
Always loved this place but not a good idea to eat from here right now during all this. After i ate there last night had diarrhea within a half hour of eating, continuing all thru the night and vomiting this am. Think there having a hard time keeping things fresh with the lack of customers. Be careful
Yesterday I went here with my Mom to have lunch while we went to do some grocery shopping. When we got there we were seated automatically away from the other customers, so they did a good job of spacing the customers. But they sat us at a booth that had a wobbly table. Our server ordered our drinks and they were top full which is nice but they kept on spilling a little bit from the wobbly table. Our chips and salsa were good, I liked that the salsa was a little spicy but not to spicy. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla, a Cheese Quesadilla, and Mexican Rice. My Mom ordered a Seafood Chimichanga. My cheese Quesadilla was good and filling. But then we had a problem, my Chicken Quesadilla was so soggy from the oil and seasonings that it was almost impossible to eat, it then fell apart when I was trying to eat it. So I ordered another Cheese Quesadilla which we payed for. That Cheese Quesadilla was the same as the other one and the Mexican Rice took up only half of the plate. Usually I get a full plate of Rice here at Casa Real so that was a disappointment. We got our food in less than 5 minutes which is about a record for the fastet time to get our food, but I would rather wait an extra 10 minutes and get a full plate of Rice and a good Chicken Quesadilla, like I usually do. Overall I would give this a 3.5 but I have had a couple of 5 star visits so I rated this 4 stars. I would go as far to say that this is the best Mexican Restaurant in Allegan County.
My husband and I went there for Valentines Day. Weve been there quite a few times. Weve always enjoyed our meals there until our last visit. They werent busy, yet it took awhile to get our food. We had the fajitas for two. Very little meat and tons of vegetables. What meat we did have was overdone. Extremely disappointed.
First time visiting the restaurant. The staff very friendly and prompt! We visited during the slow period in the restaurant business. We tried basic burrito special, just plain burrito,no frills like rice and or beans. When I visit a restaurant, unless someone recommends a specific item on the menu I go for a burrito and it was okay but needed more flavor in the sauce covering the burrito! Chips and salsa very good! But Im willing to give it another try on a different menu item(s).
Literally the BEST chile rellenos ive ever had in my life, its hard to explain how good. Also the chicken in the burrito and the beef in the tacos happens to taste so freaking good we were very impressed. The menus may have been a little sticky and used, but i got the impression the tables were regularly cleaned well and the service was great very great.
This was good for our family with 4 6 and 8 year olds who enjoyed the fountain. The price of the food was inexpensive but it was delicious. They had a good price on drinks too. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Usually with no wait.I would recommend this for anyone looking for delicious Mexican food in otsego.
Been here twice before, didnt have a problem. Great food, nice service, comfortable atmosphere. Went there again tonight with my family, and was pretty disappointed. The food was decent. Super disappointed that they chose to melt down white American cheese and pour it on my burrito. My mother ordered their chiles poblanos. They were previously frozen, not fresh, filled with artificial cheese. None of that is authentic Mexican. We also noted the servers didnt look particularly enthusiastic, and it may have had something to do with the fact that the owner (I think) was swiping their tips off the tables, including ours as we were walking out. Overall, probably wont be back anytime soon.
I freaking luv this place but, my daughter left her brand new bible there Friday night and we left. realized it was gone, turned around and a total of maybe 8 minutes from the time we left til we turned around and went back, it was GONE!! no one ever saw it but the table was cleared. my daughter is still upset 3 days later. who takes a bible?? bomb food, less than great human kindness....
Excellent food real authentic Mexican style. Decent prices for the amount of food that you get nice clean restaurant with a fountain in the center of it so it has an excellent atmosphere. Employees there are very friendly bring your food out probably even if they are swamped I dont understand how they can get your food out this fast. An excellent place to go for the value
If I could select zero stars, this would be a more accurate reflection. The staff at Casa Real charged my credit card for another customers charges. They realized this immediately and stated they were voiding the transaction. They then charged the correct amount to my credit card. They never voided the incorrect transaction. Upon calling the store to rectify the error, I was told that I needed to drive in (min 45 minute round trip) and produce the receipt or mail it (at my expense) and they would look into it but guaranteed no resolution. I provided authorization codes and transaction receipt #s for all the transactions. When I asked to speak with a manager, they stated there isnt one and the owner only comes in periodically. They refused to contract the owner and pass along a message of the error. At this time, I have no other option that to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Beware and review all credit card charges processed at Casa Real.
During the week this place is pretty full of people, on the weekends this place is packed and for good reason the food is great. I have eaten there a few times now and every time they shock me with how good their food is to eat. Lastly the dreaded part what about cost? Well in my opinion this place is moderately priced for outstandingly high quality food.
This has been a wonderful addition to your town. Go by any day of the week during lunch or dinner and you will see how popular it is. I have several favorite menu items. Everything I get is wonderful and the prices are great. Service is very fast. I frequent there often, the staff is familiar with me and always friendly.
I am a big fan of Mexican food and have been to many a Mexican restaurants. This is just your basic joint with tasty, fast food at a reasonable price. Have gotten a few wrong items from what I ordered like I was told that the tostada I received was a chalupa I ordered, but whatever, it was still good. Will be returning!
First impressions werent great. The place was pretty messy with several tables left un-busted the whole time we were there, and it looked like no one had swept all day (we visited on a weeknight evening.) There also seemed to be several people behind the counter and in the kitchen area who werent doing much, so it was confusing as to why it wasnt even a bit more tidy. Nothing overly gross or disgusting, just messy. The food was good though, and the drinks were generous, so that made up for it to an extent.
Always had a good experience here and the portions are huge. Staff is always friendly and overall cant say anything bad about this place. The pricing is more than fair for the large portions received. I havent been here in quite some time but have taken guests that are in town for a short period of time here and they have always enjoyed it.
They have great Tex/Mex food it is quick to the table. The portion are large,so I always order from the kids menu. They always charge me $1 extra, even though the portions stay kid size.(I have a gastric band).I was mortified by the cleaning-lack of cleaning. The mens bathroom was aghast! Needing complete rebuild&cleaning! The main area will be needing cleaning and maintenance touchup any day! Sad they started with great potential, and to see it slide into such disarray is heart breaking!
Good family restaurant, good prices and pretty great food. My husband, who doesnt like things too spicey, got the Chicken Burrito Real while I got the Pork Enchilades Rancheros and had them kick up the heat a little. Wow! Their pork was amazing! And the portion sizes were large enough that I had plenty to take home for lunch the next day. Wed definitely go back.

2022-06-30Always good food and amazing service. Took my grandparents for their first time and they loved it. (They are very picky) we go back about once a month currently since we moved out here a few months ago. Love the portions and prices and service. Plus they have a fountain my kids love to make a wish and throw change into.

2021-12-20Excellent food, great portions, and the service was terrific. This is definitely a family business and the care shown to you as a patron definitely shows the pride. If youre looking for authentic Mexican food, skip the pretenders and get here, like us, youll be back.

2021-08-18Wow!!! What great food, great service, and great servers. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is really cool, cocktail drinks are on point. The place was very busy which is a great sign, people continuously walking in steady using every available table. They were so good, no one really had to wait in line. The food came out hot and in good time, the waiter was friendly all while getting lots of smiles from the other waiters. Other waiters would grab our dirty plates when they walked by and my drink was never low always full. Keep up the good work everyone, I drove from Holland just to eat here. Well worth the drive.

2022-03-06This local family oriented, Mexican restaurant has always pleased my children. Always given great service, fast and affordable. The staff are all so nice, they are always clean when we visit. They have big mugs of beer, enjoyable burritos, chips and salsa. All enjoyable on a quick lunch break or dinner.

2022-03-26Ordered a meal specifying a gluten allergy and ordered the tacos on corn tortillas, they refused to give the money back or give new tacos. My partner was unable to eat dinner today. Don’t eat here if you want the right order.

2022-05-31For starters this is probably the most Unauthentic Mexican food I have had in a long time .. Im from California and have been looking every where for good Mexican food.. I ordered a combo platter trying to get a variety of things and was so disappointed. All the meat in all 4 items was exactly the same , there was no different flavors just different type of tortilla on each thing. The beer was cold and the prices were fair enough ad that is why they got 2 stars instead of 1 .. if your looking for authentic Id steer clear of this place .. if your looking for a cheap family dinner then this is the place for you.. 3 beers , 4 adults and 2 kids under 100$.. hands down I will not be returning

2022-03-16Great food and staff is super efficient highly recommend. Staff is mostly friendly. A nice atmosphere. Fast service
