We adopted Kodak December 18th and Mandy and Chris were wonderful and so is Kodak, he doesn’t leave my side and is an amazing buddy and a life long friend :)
Our family has adopted through Cat Tail Kitties for over 10 years now. They are an absolutely wonderful group. They will take their time to screen applicants to make sure the cats and kittens go to a family that matches their personality and needs. I would 100% recommend this group if you are looking to add a fur baby to your household.
Kris was very sweet, I adopted a kitten from her who is now my sidekick, never leaves my side. She treats the kittens she rescues like her own. She was quick to respond to me on petfinder and the next day I was accepted to adopt my kitten. I will forever recommend cat tail kitties rescue!
We adopted our cat Bamboo, now Snarf from CTKR and we were thrilled with how easy the application process was. We also really enjoyed how responsive our kittens foster Mom was. She was extremely helpful and willing to answer all of our questions which made the whole process relatively simple and assured us that he was the perfect kitten for our family. I highly recommend them and would definitely adopt another cat from them in the future. Thank you!
What an awesome group of volunteers! They work tirelessly week after week, month after month, saving countless cats and kittens. Thanks to them, the batch of feral kittens I trapped last year were all fully vetted and adopted out to loving homes! They work very carefully to find each rescued animal the perfect home ❤
We adopted our little love from a PetSmart adoption day. They walked us through the store and helped us know everything to get and followed up many times while we got settled. They had his records well organized, and took amazing care of him when fostering! When we couldn’t find a suitable carrier In store they even lent us one to get him home safely.
We adopted our cat Larry in July from Cat Tail kitties rescue. They were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to do a last minutes adoption when the visit was supposed to be a meet and greet only. I have kept in contact through Facebook and texting with some of the fosters and members and they’ve given me much needed advice. Would highly recommend for any donations or adopting! These people truly care about the kitties and quite frankly are angels for helping these animals❤️ Thank you guys for what you do!!
For the people that have anything negative to say, are you sure you’ve tried to contact the right rescue?We adopted our cat Cookie from CTKR, and anytime I have a question they have answered my call every time & helped with anything I need!!This has to be one of the BEST cat rescues I’ve ever dealt with!! These volunteers work around the clock to foster and take care of their kittens, even some older cats. They are very responsive, responsible, friendly, trustworthy & a Clean rescue.I have recommended CTKR to everyone I know looking for. Cat.I love when I get the phone call they THEY ADOPTED!!I can’t thank you ladies enough for everything you do for these fur babies.We need more people you in the world!We will continue to adopt from CTKR and recommend people!! ❤️❤️
Visited Petco on Saturday 12/5/20 and filled out an application to adopt a kitten to include as a part of our family. I am waiting to hear back, was told it would take 1 day to get a call back. Not sure what the approval process is or the requirements they did not give much detail. This will be our first family pet lots of love and care to give. I saw several other people leave Petco with their adopted cats. Hoping we get a call back soon.
We adopted our beautiful Vinnie 2 years ago from CTK and he is a wonderful boy. His Foster Mom cared so much for him which we feel made his transition easier. The group has an incredible support system and I am always so impressed with the love and care all of the Foster Moms and Dads give to these beautiful fur babies! They are such special people.
I have volunteered, fostered and adopted 2 kittens from this group. They are super caring about all the kitties and make sure they go to good homes. I also have friends whove adopted. Highly recommend.

We adopted our first kitten from CTK about 4 years ago, since then we have adopted another three cats and never had an issue with anything. Very good rescue that only cares about one thing, making sure they save as many cats as possible and also making sure they go to the right homes. Not every home is a great fit for adopting a pet. And anyone that is knocking this rescue because they were not approved to adopt needs to get a life already. CTK would rather deny an app if they feel it won’t work instead of just handing cats out like candy just to move them and that is what you want from a rescue. Highly recommended CTK for anyone looking for a cat or kitten.
Wonderful experience adopting my first kitten in November 2019. Debi Berkey was fantastic and very responsive. Helped me with everything I needed. Stayed on the phone with me while I ordered many things I needed from Chewy for little Oliver (Clyde). Picking him up from Petco was a breeze on adoption day. Everyone was so helpful and answered all of my questions and they helped me with all of the food I should buy. I’m so happy to have him. He’s been the perfect co-worker now that I work from home. He’s the best, cuddly little guy.
Ive adopted two cats from CTK. It was such a wonderful experience. They truly love what they do and take such wonderful care of the kitties. I try to visit their events to support them at least once a month. If you want a kitten or cat you should visit one of their events st Petco Lakeside.
After moving to Utica, MI I sent in two applications to rescue groups. Cat Tails contacted me the same day. There was a vetting process, which is for the benefit of the cat to ensure a good placement. I met the kitten that I was interested in the next day. It’s very obvious that this rescue makes the well-being of the animals a priority.
I’ve adopted two kittens from here in May this year. Both kittens are well adjusted and loving. They were both healthy and were given their initial shots. I highly recommend this rescue.
Incredibly disappointed in the lack of customer service here. I totally understand that this is a volunteer-based rescue, but the fact that there are loving families waiting to adopt who cant get a simple yes or no doesnt make sense to me. I put in an application two and a half weeks ago and have been getting the runaround via text. I keep getting told Ill get back to you and Let me check on the status for you and then I dont get a reply. I have tried to call the business phone number to speak to someone and no one will answer. I have called several times over the last few days. Leaving people hanging when animals need homes is just baffling to me.
We adopted our kitty Freya two years ago. We told them what personality would fit best in our household and they paired us with the perfect match. We love her so much and we are all very happy.
Went here expecting to meet the new member of our family, instead spent time filling out an adoption exam that judges whether its acceptable for you to hold a cat or even adopt it. Instead of being able to bond and connect with a cat, we were sent away because of our inexperience with cats. This is discouraging for a loving family that would love to adopt a cat.
Very caring and loving group that really care about providing good homes for little kittens in the area. Very glad we went with them for our first kitten. Very helpful with providing records and making sure the kittens are well taken care of.
My family volunteers for this rescue for over two years. They love their animals and take highest priority in taking care of them, and finding the best homes for them. Highly recommend! We love CTK!
Amazing folks! Found Shadehart (formerly Falcon) during one of their Saturday adoption events. The cats seemed to be energetic and healthy and the cages were clean. Staff was very friendly during the adoption process! Would highly recommend to use this rescue if anyone is looking for a furry companion.

Someone dropped kittens off on my street. I got ahold of this group and they had a foster for them within a day. The kittens got shots and new homes. They actually cared enough to send me pictures of them playing at the Forster home and them health and living a good life. I was thankful for the help they gave me with the kittens.

This Organization goes above and beyond for the homeless and unwanted Kitties. Their heart is full and Ive never seen them turn away a Kiity in need. A great Organization.
Their first priority is to place their cats and kittens with adopters who will give them a loving and caring home and they take great care in their screening process to insure that.

2020-12-16Kris was absolutely wonderful helping my family find the perfect kitty! She responded quickly and went out of her way to make sure we were perfectly matched. It took a few tries to find the right one, and she was so kind and patient throughout the whole process. The foster mom was so great too! They were willing to meet us when and where worked best for us. We love our new baby! I highly recommend cat tail kitty rescue if you are looking for a new kitty!

2020-10-29This summer I adopted two kittens from Cat Tail Kitties Rescue. I have always adopted cats from rescues and even fostered kittens myself. They take good care of their kitties and they were informative and helpful when I inquired about adopting from them. They were flexible with us as this all happened during the pandemic, and we got to go to the foster familys home to meet the kittens (my kids got to come, too.) Our kittens came to our house ready to have a forever family and were used to people and other animals. I have also recommended this place to others when they know of a cat who needs help and they have always come through. They really have the cats best interests at heart. I looked at cats at many rescues and this rescue was the easiest to work with. They answered questions quickly and were happy to work with us. Keep up the great work!

2020-10-27Cat Tail Kitties Rescue provided us with a wonderful companion kitty for our son, and we are so thankful. I was able to speak with foster mom at an adoption event and told her about our sons personality and wondered if she felt one of her kitties might be a good match. Then she placed our future kitty right in my arms and said, This is the one youre looking for. She told me all about our cats history and personality, and obviously knew her fosters well. Her description was spot-on. Our sweet companion has been a funny, playful, loving, goofy, and dearly cherished member of our family for two years now and will be for life.

2020-10-27We adopted our precious boy Henry from Cat Tail Kitties almost 3 years ago. The process was pretty seamless, I inquired about our kitten on Petfinder.com and was contacted within a few days. I was sent more pictures of Henry and was able to talk to the foster family to get more information about his personality and background. I was so impressed with how much this rescue cares about each one of their cats and kittens that I ended up becoming a foster myself! I am honored to know the founders of Cat Tail Kitties, Kris and Carole. They never turn any animal away, even in the worst cases they give each little life every chance to survive and thrive. The network of foster parents is dedicated, supportive, and equally devoted to the love and care of all cats and kittens, whether feral or given up for adoption. Cat Tail Kitties takes the responsibility of finding forever home very seriously, they dont allow anyone to adopt without ensuring that the new home will be a perfect fit not only for the cat, but for the humans! I cant be more thankful for people like Kris, Carole, and everyone that gives of themselves to care for all cats in need!

2020-10-27We adopted both of our adult cats from this amazing group! The compassion and the level of care they provide while fostering is unlike any other cat-specific rescue group Ive encountered. They have created an online community for adopters that is not only supportive and heart-warming but makes it incredibly easy to contact them if needed. LOVE this rescue!!

2021-05-22Absolutely unprofessional staff. From the moment we started talking about either fostering or adopting, we were talked down too and treated as though we were incompetent. Then when we did submit and application they made us feel like we had never owned pets before and again talked down to us. After finishing the application we waited the time period and heard nothing. We had to drive back to the petco to get answers only to be told we were not accepted due to have way over the limits on pets for our city. Which was, in fact, a lie. The city authorized more than we had even if we adopted the extra pet. Finally we were told they werent comfortable with us adopting. So despite having certifications in pet grooming and being a certified dog trainer, we were denied adoption because they werent comfortable with us. Clearly the ladies who run this rescue arent truly looking for actually homing their cats. They more interested in being pretentious, judgmental and unwilling to work with people who actually want to give these pets good homes.

All members of the group are helpful and are doing things that are the cats/kittens best interest. Love the rescue and will always adopt and foster through them!

2020-10-27I adopted J two years ago. The foster mom was super responsive and helpful. They are thorough in their applications. They are helpful whenever I have asked a question. My vet even said they were a great group. Their Facebook page is a great place for sharing happiness and sorrow. These people are a passionate group and truly try to make the best fit for the kitties and the families looking to adopt. I highly recommend this rescue. 💜

2020-10-27I adopted a kitten from CTKR 3 years ago. It’s very evident they care about their kittens/cats and where they are adopted out to. I’ve seen their caring and hard work that goes into fostering. They share their hard work, happy adoptions and sometimes sad losses. This group devotes their lives to fostering. The don’t get paid to foster or run the rescue! They do it out of love for these precious kittens/cats! Thank you for all you do! ❤️🐱
