This place should not even be in business. I hate this place. They are horrible and ghetto. They are not professional at all. Had a viewing for my Wife some months ago. On the day of the viewing, l was told at the last minute that her clothes was too small. They did make the clothes work. But shouldnt you tell me this the day before the viewing? Dont go to this place. Terrible business.
Marcella Marie Muszynski Hamas had her services at Caver Memorial Funeral Home.I was asked to write an eulogy and the obituary, so I did so. When they received it, they let someone else change it and clam it as their own. I called them to let them know that is plagiarism. Mr Caver the own said he did care because they are the one paying for the printing. I told him it was plagiarism and plagiarism is plagiarism. He dose not have my permission to print someyhing I wrote and they changed and called as their own.
This place is the epitome of HELL!!!!!!! If you respect your family you better turn the other way! Their work is TERRIBLE & ghetto as HELL! Limo was raggedy & had no air! This place needs to be condemned ASAP! They may only have 1 funeral a year if that. Who ever heard of a funeral home not waiting on insurance!!!! GTFOH!!!!!

The office needs to be organized more. It seemed as they didnt know what to do. The service after the paper work was done was excellent.

2021-12-13Thank you Caver & family for helping me get through this trying time dealing with the final arrangements of my dear Grandmother. From the time you all picked her up from the nursing home until her interment. She was handled with care. I even called or went up there several times unannounced with questions during the process and was always greeted with love AT THE DOOR! I even sat there, vented and cried and they sat right there with me.. Thats love!! The family was pleased with your services and hospitality. I love yall beyond measure. I pray Gods blessings upon each and every last one of you. THANK YOU.

2021-12-06I wish I can give 0 stars, this is the worst funeral home in Detroit. The whole experience from the funeral home going to pick up my dad from the hospital, all the way up until the funeral day was a total nightmare. We received the funeral announcements the day of the viewing.The obituary wasn’t done until the day of the funeral. And the pictures were blurry. The viewing got changed last minute due to a power outage which is understandable, but the funeral should have a back up generator like most professional businesses have. The owner mr. caver is very insensitive and could care less about a grieving family all he cares about is money. I will never ever recommend this funeral home ever. This is no way to lay someone to rest, my family will never forget this.

2021-06-16My experience with Caver was GREAT. Words cant express how much i applicate the service they provided for my mother. I honestly give them a 5 star rating. They help me through the process that was so over whelming for me. They were kind, courteous, patient and understanding. My Mother looked like she was resting in peace. When i went in to view her body it felt like an elephant was lifted off my chest. She looked so peaceful. Her makeup was flawless, her hair was flawless. Her cassette was beautiful. The pictures were beautiful. I could go on and on. The service was a home going service. I got the closer that i needed in my life knowing my Mother is R.I.P. Thank you Caver and a special thanks toDeon my new friend. I would recommend them to any and everybody.

2021-03-30Caver Memorial Funeral Home did my family wrong. The makeup they had on my son was awful.They cut off his facial hair and his head in the casket! His hair was all over the casket during the viewing! It was so bad that we canceled the family hour. They will not get away with this! Mr. Bishop was wonderful and very courteous.

2020-04-28Traumatic. My brother was put on a metal slab. He had the clothes that my siblings took. There was a saw handle on a post by the slab my brother was on. My mother saw her son and said, that aint right. I know we did cremation but my God, put some dignity in his death. Swanson did better with my late mother in law. She was covered under a pink satin cloth and in a room that was back lit in pink. I cant shake the image of my brother just laying there, horrific. 😭😭😭

2018-12-19This funeral home is the worst! Do not go here. The owner is crooked and add on fees after the contract. He gives you obituaries put in the cost but his picture is on the back of each as if he is advertising on you loved ones expense. We switched our contract to James H Coles funeral home and he charged us for embalming when he only had half did the work and we told him we did not want any work done which was only 2 hours after we left his funeral home. He charged us $1600 when the normal embalming fee is $300. This place is crooked and smells like mildew on top. If you dont want to be embarrassed, dont do it!

2019-03-15This funeral is home will do your loved one dirty. If you choose to do a direct burial they will not embalm your loved one or put clothes on them. If you have a funeral service the will cake on makeup till your love one looks like a wooden doll. When your family is going to the cemetery they will not even put the flags on the car so you can go through red lights. I will never do business with these thieves again.

2017-01-22There should be an option for zero stars. This is such an unprofessional establishment. Believe me, you do not want them representing you and your family - especially with the insurance companies. Not during this awful time. Actually, not ever. Unfortunately, the selection had already been made in my case, but every time I mentioned their name to anyone, they had a bad experience to share. Hopefully you are looking at reviews *before* selecting a funeral home for your loved one. If so, Id encourage you to ask around. Talk to people you know. Someone has a story.I found them unprofessional and extremely unorganized, and Im not exactly sure they even realize it.

2019-07-06This is a getto dead beat business. They left our love one in the heat and hid body swelled so, that we had to have closed service. They tried telling us he had to be dead 3 days but my brother fed him breakfast that morning before he went to work. One of the sons went upstairs and the love one was lying in the bed .well its a long story. His body was ok when they came to pick him up. They miss printed namesand to top it off they skipped the pallbearer part THEY ARENO GOOD.

2018-06-18My family buried three love ones within two months. I went to them to get a letter for my third love one burial and they wouldnt give me one, saying its been past three days. Seriously, it only takes a second to type in a name and a date. Im was so pissed with them. With his smart ass mouth...I had to call on jesus.
