Stay FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY! They take advantage of the elderly and will scam you out of everything single cent they can. We have sold my family members house over two months ago and we are still dealing with them scamming for money, even through renters insurance. Please, if you love your family members and yourself, NEVER EVER EVER let them get a reverse mortgage through this company.
Why did I not listen to People about Reverse Mortgages???This Company Steals from you from Day one.Interest Rates are very Low now. Not with Celink. They deal with Seniors so its easy to Rip us Off & Kick us when were down.When Interest Rates are at a high of 3%, why do they charge 5 1/2%. For the same reason a dog licks himself, BECAUSE THEY CAN.a TREE FELL ON MY HOUSE FROM lightening ON JULY 5th.Insurance Company (TRAVELERS) paid right away. Celink Still will not Sign the Check so I can have my Home Repaired. Contractor already had over $4,000 in work that he has done which includes moving the Huge Tree off of the Building . Tree trunk is 34 inches across. Because of Celink I have rain coming in my house every time it Rains. It looks like it will be winter before they sign the check so I can get a Contractor to Fix the roof, the ceilings, the floors, and the rafters in the roof.NEVER GET A REVERSE MORTGAGE THROUGH CELINKNEVER GET A REVERSE MORTGAGE THROUGH CELINK!!!!
My elderly client could not get an updated payoff demand for over 10 days and still cant when the escrow is scheduled to close in 3 days. Unbelivable! Her escrow kept getting runarounds: we didnt get the request, resend, our computer system is down, we didnt get your request, resend and it will take 5-10 days, our phone system is down, each time the escrow resend the request, the 5-10 day count starts all over again, and it went on for 10 days and still waiting.
Completely inept operation. Was held up for weeks needing a simple lease release signature that they failed to do accurately in the first place. As has been said in previous reviews, if you can, stay far, far away from this abysmal company.
Made us push back our closing date due to not giving us the payoff! This is a scam company! If you’re considering using them RUN! We will take legal action if needed!
Great place to work! This company cares about its employees and its clients/borrowers.
Run around Run Around... Lies upon lies. Trying to steal our home because they lost paperwork.
Awesome facility! Celink provides most excellent reverse mortgage services.
No stars should be an option. This company is terrible. I have been on hold for over an hour for a simple question.

It is never.or difficult to get the addresses of loost.depart.to send a check that I endorse it for.could.get.the address

2021-12-13My mom passed away on July 4th and I contacted Celink in reference to her passing away. I sent in all the documents I was asked to send in. I had the home up for sale and 4 months later I’m getting foreclosure papers served to me. I’m supposed to have 12 months from her passing to sell it. I contacted them again to ask why did I receive foreclosure papers and was informed they didn’t receive a piece of paper they were expecting but instead of calling me they started foreclosure. Thank god I already had a buyer to beat foreclosure but now they are delaying the buy off number trying to get more interest off the loan. What a horrible company to deal with in a time that is so difficult as losing your only parent. I tried calling only to be told they have up to 2 weeks to get the number to me but it’s only good for 3 days what a bunch of crooks!!! BEWARE!!!!

2021-06-07Please, please, please PLEASE DO NOT GET A REVERSE MORTGAGE! EVER! They are the biggest CROOKS I have ever seen! I am a Realtor, and I have been trying to assist a Client with selling a home involved with one, and I have never been given the run around more in my life. They give a different answer every time you call. They ask for things that cannot legally be produced. They denied my Clients request to sell based on a requirement. The requirement? To produce a Settlement Statement for one thing. There cannot be a Settlement Statement without an Appraisal. There cannot be an Appraisal without a Signed Contract. We cant get a signed Contract because they tell us every time we call, after listening to elevator music for one hour, they are missing something, then the next time something different. The things they say they are missing, we have proof we sent. They take a minimum of 10 days every time to even look at what you sent them, sometimes more. They know what theyre doing. They are racking up more charges by avoiding you, giving you the run around, saying they dont have things we know they have, and by requiring things that cannot possibly be produced.They are SCAMMERS and Con Artists.Trust me, there are other ways, you do NOT want to ever go down this path. You will lose every bit of control of your life if you do. There appears to be no regulation of these Companies whatsoever. Magnum PI, you would do yourself a favor by not enticing people to be defrauded by these Companies!

2022-03-19I am so shocked that in 2022 companies like this are still allowed to prey on the elderly. Good thing my family has a relative thats an attorney or we would be lost and would have lost our property. Please do not consider this financial institution for any reason whatsoever

2021-10-09The WORST company EVER!!! They try every trick in the book to deter you from purchasing the property back from them. Not to mention the outrageous monthly fees they charge you! One fee was $900.00 in attorney fees to get a payoff balance! Another fee was $20 monthly inspection fee and house inspection fee (can’t remember the outlandish amount ) and NO ONE NEVER came to inspect the property. They also refused to give me a copy of the home inspection. These are just a few fees they charged me monthly after my mom passed. I could write a book on all of the back hand antics they did. However, I’m saving them for my lawyer. These crooks have to be stopped. They only got one star because I could not select ZERO stars!! Stay as far away from this company as you can!!!

2021-08-19My sister had a reverse mortgage with this company.She past away on May 4th, 21.Paper work was process via my attorney for probate as recommended. Much to my surprise without notice they sold my sister house by Aug 19th, 21. My sister house is full with her furnishing still. This company has no requard for those who lost a love one. I believe they are crooks. Its sad to see their work ethnic

2019-09-24Only rate a 1 because I could not rate a zero. Have been trying for over 2 months to get a pay off for a loan. No response. They rip off the elderly. They state they are protecting them but in the long run they are ripping them off for more money. They were provided legal documents of Power of Attorney but would state they never received them and give you additional places to send them. Then state they never received. I have never seen a place that they have no corporate office or legal department that you can contact over the phone to discuss the mishandling of the accounts. They refuse to give you that information because they do not believe you will contact them. They only provide an address that you know will not be responded to. I will, I am persistent. I know they are paid to rip you off but really I think getting the money in cash would be a motivation to get the pay off. They just think they will get more money holding off by charging to mow the grass and additional expenses they charge to you. Worst place I have ever dealt with.

2022-02-08My mother just passed away this past June 25th. she was 77yrs. old, when this letter from Celink came in the mail. When u try ta call & ax them any quests. they tell ya they cant answer ur quest. w/ sum excuses, alls they do is lend a large amount of money & then try force ppl into foreclosure so they can take their property & leave u homeless right in the middle of a pandemic, theyre totally scanless.. Stay far away from this place Straight 4ward Bigtime already.

2021-10-15The worst customer service experiences that I have ever experienced. Celink is very difficult to deal with and they purposely make it difficult to deal with them. I often dealt with 45 minute wait times. This company does not care about its customers. Reps on phone did not care about customers and were difficult to deal with. Stay away!

2019-02-04My mother in law passed in January 2019 and two weeks later, these thieves sent a demand letter to sell the house in and repay this amount in 30 days or surrender the deed. After speaking to one of the representaves prior to the demand letter, we were told that we had 90 days to liquidate the property with no additional interest and service fees accruing. Dont let your family members fall for this freaking SCAM.

2019-12-06After my Godmothers death it was extremely difficult to communicate with Reverse department. They will not initiate contact you, even if you have been trying to contact them. They are understaffed! During the sale of the home they kept putting notices on the home as if the home was not up for sale. Customer service is greatly lacking! However, when you finally get through they are very helpful!
