I took my driving classes from Michael Roskamp and got passed my test in very first attempt all because of him. He is a great teacher and always make sure of letting us know about our weakness to focus. He is experienced and knew what level of training a learned need. I highly recommend him for new learners.
I signed up for a few lessons with instructor Michael Roskamp, and he helped me prepare for the road test while boosting my overall confidence with driving. Driving sessions were always entertaining yet also filled with constructive criticism/ tips to help me grow as a new driver.
My daughter in law had a road test at this location with Denise, my daughter in law did a amazing job as I watched her back up and parallel park, even though she nailed the parallel parking she had her try to get deeper into the spot which was not even necessary. Denise then decided to fail her due to being overly eager to go on lunch. When asked why she had failed, Denise claimed she had 10 points, saying she hit a cone twice even though I watched the entire time and no cone was ever touched. SO frustrated that she lied about so much. NEVER again will we ever go through them. Additionally, if you arent at least 57 these cars arent suitable for your height. Just baffled on how Denise claimed she failed but the person that was before her hit the cones and continued to correct himself and passed. If I could give her a zero I definitely would.
I took my road test today and my instructor was Wade Trombley. Let me say, I was very fortunate to have him. I was late for my appt. I was told that I would have to reschedule and possibly pay the 75 again, but Wade took his own time to get me in at the last minute. He was very helpful, and professional. I am just grateful that I came across Wade on this day.He didnt have to do any of this, and that shows some of his character and I will be sure to pay it forward. Thanks again
The worst place everThey told me to wait in a wrong spot and the cancel my appointmentGroup of scammers and still money from people intentionallyI had my permit in hand and this Is a complete lie, I wonder how long you gonna stay in business with stealing peoples money and lieing face to faceThe attitude of the two ladies was absolutely terrible and disappointing,Higley not recommended
My Road test experience with Denise was amazing! She is very professional and has a way of communicating that makes you feel calm and confident. I have much respect for her, she made my anxiety go down by being down to earth and genuine. Her directions were clear and she is patient if something needs to be repeated or if you have any questions. Great instructor and amazing person ! May God bring many blessing on to her! ❤️
DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEST HERE! I was 2 minutes late getting there to take my road test that I had to pay $75 for instead of the original $50 (because of covid, they make you pay $25 extra to use their vehicles, you cant use your own) I had tried calling them before getting there to explain that I was stuck in traffic on the highway due to construction and it snowing but nobody was in the office to take my call. I had left my house early to get there early also but still legit caught up in traffic. So I got there 2 minutes late and the lady who wasnt even my instructor told me Id have to reschedule and repay the $75 to take it again because I paid for the time but wasnt on time even tho when I got there my instructor was in a vehicle with a different person doing their road test. Then she got paid $75 for an hour for a road test she didnt even provide. So when I call to reschedule my test the girl on the phone (Emily) was very rude and disrespectful so I hung up on her. So I will be taking my test elsewhere instead of wasting my money here.
I was so nervous to do the drivers test but thanks to Denise , she made me feel comfortable . I love that she gives you directions way before you have to do a turn so you are not panicking wondering when and where to turn. She’s also very clear with her instructions and doesn’t mind repeating herself. She is great GPS . I also like how at the end she gives you advice on how to be an even safer driver. She’s super friendly and definitely recommend doing your drivers test there.
I scheduled a driving test appointment with Denise Pucilowski at Rogers Plaza and passed the first time! She was a really great tester. She gave me clear instructions and was very nice during the test. She answered all of the questions that I had and when we finished, she reviewed the few errors that I made during the test clearly which was nice so now I know what to practice some more on. Thank you Denise and I appreciate taking it with you! Im so excited for my license to come in!
The staff is unfreindly and are not knowledgeable about there place of employment. Instructor i delt with was unprofessional in the way he gave direction. Called and asked for help why and got no answers and i may get an email in 48hrs. There was no one else i could talk too.
Took my test with Denise and she was a very sweet lady, her energy was very inviting and she makes you feel pretty comfortable. I passed in no time we talked about different things so the driving just came natural and there was no room for overthinking. I took my first test with Mark and failed within the first 5 minutes because of re-adjusting too much while parallel parking, just glad I have my license now. Would definitely recommend Denise!
I was so nervous to do the drivers test but thanks to Denise (driving instructor), she made me feel comfortable and safe. I love that she gives you directions way before you have to do a turn so you are not panicking wondering when and where to turn. She’s also very clear with her instructions and doesn’t mind repeating herself. I also like how at the end she gives you advice on how to be an even safer driver. She’s super friendly and definitely recommend doing your drivers test there. A tip for those taking the test: when they ask to turn on the radio just know it’s not a trick question, they want to make sure you can do it comfortably without having to stop the car. Also the cars have cameras for when you back up (huge help if you know how to use it).
I have only been here for my road test, and it was a great experience! The lady I took my test with (I believe her name was Denise) was very kind and had a great GPS voice on the road! 🤗 When I was done with my test, she gave me helpful feedback on how I did, and she also provided me with tactics for how to do better!Road test? Highly recommended!
I had scheduled lessons with Michael Roskamp and he was one of the best instructors I have had. He was fun and very informational make sure I understood everything. Because of my lessons with Michael Roskamp I was able to pass my test was no problem. I have recommended him to a few people as they will not be disappointed.
I took my road test with Denise and she was super nice! I was very nervous prior to the test but she helped lots with calming my nerves by talking about college and our common interest in gardening. I highly recommend her to anyone that may be feeling a little bit anxious for their test! Wish y’all the best!
I was super nervous to do my road test, but all test always makes me nervous. I read the reviews which made me even more nervous! My instructor was Mark and he calmed me down at the beginning and talked me through the test. Dont let these reviews think these are all bad people, theyre just doing their job. My experience went very well and that instructor deserves a raise!
I took my drivers test through Century Driving School on Aug. 09, 2021, at the Rogers Plaza location nearly two months ago, and I still think back to my interaction with the examiner, Mrs. Denise Pucilowski.Right from the start, she greeted me with a friendly attitude and helped go over the required paperwork. She also did a fantastic job at explaining the directions and was more than willing to answer any questions I had.I felt great taking the test. And because of my positive interaction with her, I have recommended this agency to many friends and colleagues in the area ever since.Thank you for everything you have done, Mrs. Denise Pucilowski :)
Awesome attention and professionalism! Thank you Denise for being polite, patient and professional during my road test. Your apositive attitude gave me confidence and I am very happy for your clear instructions. I definitely recomend this school. They have excellent instructors and evaluators. 👏
Wasted $79 right after scheduling my appointment and paying fee for testing I was sent a text with date and time with address saying to meet in parking lot of centerpointe mall 7 wks later the morning of my test I get a reminder text with date time and name of instructor got to location 10 min before appointment drove around centerpointe mall building for about 20 min trying to figure out where to go the address I had didn’t seem to Exist could get a hold of no one cause they are closed on weekends and the calls are automatically sent to voicemail even when they are open after going in the mall and asking a janitor did he know where it was he said he got asked all the time someone had just asked him a few minutes before I did turns out there is no building just some cones and a small sign on the ground and a small grey shed when I got there no one was there it would help if they include in the reminder text to meet in parking lot the text I received almost 2 months before I completely forgot about so a free $79 for them and I’m sure they know ppl have problems finding this little place but they are not doing anything to change it it’s just free money for them when u don’t show up on time they are getting free money this way
I had a road test with Mark Molewyk #6969 and although I didnt pass due to making one major mistake on the driving portion (which I completely understand! I was 100% in the wrong) He was so nice and understanding the entire time. I highly recommend him because he made it a little less nerve racking than it wouldve been. I also practiced my mistakes which he kindly went over with me a little bit more at the end and plan on retaking the test again at Century it might be with a different instructor, but I do thank Mark for the wonderful experience :)
Hope they can make my situation right but wasnt happy with experience at all showed up 3p minutes early then realized had wrong form on me the guy in lot said should be fine just get back here quick. I was about 8 minutes late they didnt wanna hear it. I am an experienced driver just had to retake test cause I am not from Michigan I would not take the 10 minutes to parallel park that others do could have easily squeezed me in I am sure of it but they did not care. Was very quick to sit in car and relax. Very frustrating took money and didnt phase them I hope yall can make this better when I have to come back next month cause everywhere else is booked farther out. I wonder if its because everywhere else has way better reviews.
My daughter just took her road test in Wyoming with Denise whom we highly recommend. She was professional, calm, friendly, and explained everything well. Such a great driving test experience which could be quite stressful, but instead, it was very helpful and positive.
Took my drivers road test today and drove with Denise whom I highly recommend to anybody else taking theirs at Rogers plaza Wyoming. She was very nice, and very clear of directions and very calm and talked to me while driving so there wasn’t complete silence which helped me feel at ease and comfortable driving durning my test I honestly don’t think I could have asked for a better driving test experience. I also passed today!☺️
So... two wildly different experiences with this place. 3 stars because we had an excellent experience yesterday with Kathryn who was incredibly nice and took time to explain the process before my son started the test.In April, my son took his first road test with Mark Molewyk. As noted in many previous reviews, the experience with Mark was awful. He was rude, impatient, and my son just felt nervous and uncomfortable the entire test. He quickly passed the parking, and went out for the road test where he “ran a red light” which was an automatic fail. The light was yellow as he entered the intersection and turned red as he was passing through. He was devastated and spent the last month believing he was an awful driver. After his road test with Kathryn yesterday, he realized that it was not him, but the experience with the first examiner. He felt totally relaxed and passed no problem.Keep on scrolling through the reviews on this page and go ahead and never schedule your test with Mark Molewyk #6969. Waste of $70 and had to wait another month to schedule because of how booked out everything is due to COVID.
I took drivers training here 3 or 4 years ago and my instructor was Karyn Blank and she was the ABSOLUTE WORST I have not been able to forget about this experience since. Karyn was rude, condescending, and lacked all empathy with any of the drivers whom didn’t have driving coming naturally to them. There were times where Karyn was kind, she would bring us pizza and in class she was nice but she never helped anyone who needed assistance and it was only a class of 6 which included myself. During one of my drives I was going on my first ever roundabout and she completely took the wheel from me and said that she shouldn’t have to be doing this for me. Another one of my drives we were having small talk and I stated that I had social anxiety and she said back to me why would this make you anxious there is nothing social about this, to another student who I believe suffered with depression she told him that everyday couldn’t be a bad day she made him cry on every drive I was paired with him which was three separate sessions. At the end of the class I passed the written test and she tried to not give me my slip for my permit and told me I had to take extra classes with my parents in the back seat I had to force her to give me the paper because I had passed my test I was also the last student to leave. I didn’t come back for the second round of drivers training and I was frightened so much that on my last drive she made me cry and I never ended up driving with my permit and only got my license when I was 19 which was only a year ago.
Called to schedule an appointment and they asked my birthday, after that they told me to just bring my temporary license. The day of the driving test, they said I need a license with “over 18” in order to take the test. I explained to them that they didn’t tell me anything about it but they still refused. I didn’t receive proper instructions on what to bring except that all it said was if your over 18, “bring your Id”. I called same day and they said that it was my fault for not bringing “proper” form and that I had to pay $75 again in order to schedule another test
My instructor was very short with me and had an attitude. My repositioning cost me ALL points. I walked back to the car crying. I will be testing somewhere else. Something with that place doesnt sit right with me. Luckily I found a place that has 5 stars. I have been impatiently waiting for 5 YEARS to get my drivers license and this is the place I was chosen to go to. Nope. Not this time.
The negative, low ratings are from kids or adults that dont know how to drive and obviously havent practiced enough before taking their tests.I passed the road test on my first trial. It is true that they make you use their company car and wear a mask at all times, due to COVID-19. The car I used was not in bad shape at all. I was able to adjust the seating and mirrors to my liking before I even started rolling out. Their car has a backup camera which makes it even easier to pass when you are doing the parking/parallel segment. I thought the car drove smooth and I felt safe using it through the whole duration of the road test.My instructor was Mark Molewyk. I had a good experience with him and he didnt seem to be this mean monster everyone is making him out to be on these reviews. He was assuring, cracked a joke, and even gave me some good feedback at the end.My advice for those who are new or retaking the road test:1. Practice on local roads AND freeways long enough until you are confident enough to take the test. This shouldnt be your first time getting on the freeway during the test!2. YouTube! Look up videos on how to pass your Michigan road test and get some good tips.3. Dont be so sensitive. Your instructors arent there to baby you or hold long conversations with you. They are there to instruct you to get to point A and to point B safely. They are watching your every move while in the car and must grade you.4. Speak-up if you need to adjust their car seat, mirrors, or anything else before the test starts. Theyre probably not going to ask you if you need adjustments. Theyre going to assume you know when to adjust the mirrors and/or seats as if youre in your own car.Good luck.
My son took his road test the other day. Mark was his instructor. While my son was upset at learning he had to drive their vehicle (website said no renting vehicles, but did say wear a mask and bring a pen), he was quickly made to feel comfortable and was not rushed. It was raining and Mark noticed that my son was very nervous. Mark spoke to him camly and helped him calm his nerves, relax, and he passed :). We did read their website, reviews, and emails they sent us. We knew what to expect. Thank you!
Dave, examiner #5835 was a great test instructor. Very awesome demeanor, even though it was less than 50 degrees outside. He was very supportive before every section of the motorcycle endorsement test. He definitely made my nervousness disappear with his great attitude. Happy that I didnt let the bad reviews sway me from using their testing services.
Denise Pucilowski Is highly recommended. If I were any age of person and was nervous of taking the test I’d want to go with Denise. She talks to you like that chatty aunt that is always the best at holidays. She genuinely wants you to pass the test and makes you feel at ease in a time that can be so stressful.
Dont take your road test here! I wish I could give a zero, no would pick up the phones and we waited in meeting spot for a road test for my husband that was scheduled to start at 10:45. Well an instructor showed up with a student 30 minutes later and had no idea what was going on. It turned out that the guy who was supposed to be there had the day off. No apologies or any sort of explanation and once it was sorted out that it was their fault and no rush to fix their mistake. We took the day off of work to make this happen. We had this appointment 2 months in advance, we received a text this morning confirming the appointment and no one showed up. This glitch as they called it should have been handled much better. At the end we were given $25 off and they rescheduled the test. Lets hope someone actually shows up this time. My husband should have taken his road test today but I guess unprofessionalism won today.
Honestly, instructors have been fantastic. They are knowledgeable and supportive of students. Office staff is unhelpful, rude, and dismissive (over numerous encounters, not a one-time incident). Communication is disastrous, at best. We paid a lot of money to be this frustrated. Doesnt feel great.
My son took his road test today and failed within 2 mins. When he was parallel parking the instructor stated he moved forward too many times but didn’t explain that repositioning counted towards moving again. I would not recommend them and he will be retesting elsewhere. I had a whole bad vibe the instructor was cold. I feel like that just stole our money I’m so upset and so is my son. They will not get any more money from us and I wish we could get our money back. This instructor didn’t even work with my son as if he was a teen. Never again
Youre gonna wanna keep reading this. The instructor Mark Molewyk is very cold, not welcoming, will make you feel like you are wasting his time and that he will be better off doing anything else other than that test. But it gets more interesting. You have 80% chance of instantly failing by not leaving the parking lot. Its a waste of $75.00, time, and effort. Now imma help you out even more, here are really decent places that actually care about you succeeding and not just wanting money unlike this place whose goals are making the most money. I highly recommend official driving school school, fleet, and newago. Go check those places out and good luck to the new drivers getting their license, yall got this!!!
After being notified that I wasnt going to take the road test at the scheduled hour on such a short notice, Wade took me in under his big strong arms and scheduled me to test with him after he finished with all his other testers. Wade was super helpful, friendly, and the backbone of this company. Wouldnt have done it without him.
I wanna say thank🙏🏾 to Denise Pucilowski😍At the beginning i was nervous but She made me feel comfortable with kind words. I would recommend this inspector (Denise) to everyone....It was fantastic to have her as my inspector.. keep that professionalism, kindnesss... God bless you, Denise!
I arrived 20 mins early for my drivers test I talked to one lady who was very dismissive and turned her back to me the first time I tried talking to her, I then talked to a man and I was told to wait in the car (keep in mind I told both of these people who my instructor was) I got back out of the car to start my drivers test I had to wait another 5 mins which isn’t the big deal, they ask who my instructor is again and I tell them again they then inform me 5 mins after my test was suppose to start to tell me I was at the wrong location. I called the number they gave me and told me that I only have 5 mins to get across town. The lady on the phone told me that if I make it there after the 10 min mark my test will be canceled and I have to wait another month and pay another 75 dollars in order for me to take my test I am not pleased at all.
Took my drivers test a few weeks ago with Denise and she was a kind and patient person, I passed both the parking portion and the road test, and it was quick and easy and got my certificate and my license. It is important that you prepare for your test and ask questions if you are unsure.
I had a test with Mark. I do not believe the comments against him posted here can be believed at face value. He tells you when you are wrong objectively (i.e when my speed is not good). He was courteous and clear. This is all you need to have a good test to do your best. You cannot ask for anything more.
I recently came here to do my road test and I too read the many reviews on here and was nervous, but I had a wonderful experience with this company. I had to, at the last minute, purchase a rental, and the lady on the phone was very kind to me with handling that. The examiner, Mike, was not talkative at mall, and made no small talk with me, but still made me feel comfortable to drive with. Please dont pay attention to the reviews on here, actually come to century and see how they treat you before basing your judgement on others reviews. If you come in, knowing what to do and with the purpose to pass and carry on with the rest of your day, you will be just fine.
Went here for training last year and was not satisfied. The instructors are boring and patronizing and don’t really make driving exactly fun. Some instructors are impatient and can lower your self esteem so think twice if you think of wasting money here. Not only are the instructors disrespectful but the staff at the service desk are as well patronizing and disrespectful. Please consider taking driving lessons (or your drivers test) elsewhere as this “driving school” consists of foul mouthed disrespectful staff.
Took my road test today at the Rogers plaza location. Had a very pleasant experience with the tester, very laid back and gave great direction. Even in back road conditions he was calm which made me much more comfortable. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is ready to get their license. Bad reviews come from inexperienced drivers, the tester does not “fail” or “pass” any driver- the driver fails or passes themselves.
I had my road test with Mark Molewyk. I was especially nervous prior to my road test due to the nightmarish reviews century driving received. Some negative reviews even included my instructor Mark M. When the test came around I was genuinely surprised that Mark M. wasnt what the internet portrayed him to be. He was a very easy person to talk too. Also he was fair during the road test. When I drove with Mark M. I was able to discuss the over whelming negative reviews him and century driving accumulated. He assured me that every person has a fair chance to gain their drivers license. Then he stated that some people arnt ready to be on the road and that they can be hazardous in traffic. In conclusion he said that people who leave negative reviews are only upset with him and the company because they didnt pass the test. I was able to pass because I practiced enough to where I knew I wasnt going to fail, confidence is key. I hope this review gave someonesome peace of mind and also good luck on your road test!
Wish I would have read the reviews before showing up for our road test today. Paid full price and never made it on the road. The test was never explained to my son. His repositioning while parallel parking cost him all points - would have been nice to know how points are counted before failing a student. Take your money some where else!
To all who are reading this review and contemplating going to Century to get your license: I strongly recommend that you dont. Like others, I failed my first test here as well, and to be honest, it felt like I had failed before Id even got inside the car. The tester I had was a man named Mike, and he is truly one of the rudest and unkind individuals Ive ever come across. Even when I went to give him a greeting when we first met, he didnt even look at me, didnt smile, nothing. Just acted like he wanted me to hurry and go away.No matter, I tried not to let it bother me and I just focused on passing the test. I managed to pass the parking portion without too many issues and after that we switched to the road portion, and this is when everything went to hell. I was already nervous being in a car with Mike because of how unpleasant he seemed and due to this being my first road test ever. Over small mistakes I was making (mainly just driving a little slow, and being overly cautious at this one green light) Mike was shouting and yelling at me in the middle of my test, essentially just trying his hardest to put me down and making me feel like an idiot. I couldnt even focus on traffic. Throughout almost the entire test, he was being rude and making remarks that were intended to make me feel like I had no clue what I was doing. At the end of the test, I told Mike I would get more practice, to which he rudely responded No, you need driving lessons. Century offers them and so on, basically just trying to sell me on them.Thankfully, I later took my driving test at another location and passed on my first try. Wish I wouldve never went to Century, so if I can prevent someone from going there and wasting their time and their money, Im glad to do so.
Had my driving test today with Bruce and was extremely nervous after reading these reviews but it was nothing like the reviews make it seem like. Bruce was nice and clear spoken and I passed my test on the first try. Instructions were very clear and I was told with enough time to prepare about an upcoming right or left turn. All in all will definitely recommend this place. Also when I booked my appointment I was told where to meet and it’s easy to find with info they gave me.
I got Mike as an instructor and he is not the kindest person. Didn’t even say hi, zero eye contact. I used an old car they provided that doesn’t even turn the wheels completely and it made parallel parking really difficult vs if I was using MY car that is 100% operative. They say you cannot bring your car because of Covid and I never saw anyone disinfecting the one I used. The instructor wasn’t wearing a mask when he was leaning to my window to give instructions.
We enjoyed our test administrator, Bob, but we had some issues with the company itself. It does not post the prerequisite documentation as clearly on its website as other companies do . Please be sure to follow all links provided and make sure you have the right documents in your possession BEFORE making your non-refundable $49 test appointment. Also, your car needs to pass a test before it can be used in the test, so be sure there are no cracks in the windshield, and that all turn/brake/horn signals and whatnot are working perfectly--again, do this before scheduling, in case repairs are needed. If you show up for your test and do not have the proper paperwork, or if your car does not pass, you will pay another $49 to reschedule, and the terse phone rep will have zero sympathy for your plight 😑
My husband took his road test here today -- I made the mistake of reading the horror stories on here of heartless test administrators failing people for no reason and lol. Idk how those guys were driving, but my husband drove with Denise who was absolutely amazing. When they came back, she was giving him a lot of helpful advice and I assumed he just barely failed, but he actually passed. I only mention that bc I still would have rated Denise five stars even if he had failed -- she was that nice to work with. Only complaint is that it was impossible to schedule a driving lesson here (no one answered) but I guess he didnt need it anyways!
I had a good experience at Century driving school with Cindy. She was kind, patient and friendly and I felt comfortable with her. I was able to focus on driving and didn’t feel nervous. I had a couple bad experiences previously with different instructors. This time I passed and Cindy’s professional attitude was a big help. Thank you and thank God.
I took my test today and failed for a second time and both tests were with Mark he was extremely rude and totally unprofessional. I still don’t understand how I failed everything went smoothly and my only hiccup was not getting into a right turn lane to turn right so we had to turn around. No warning was given and nothing said. He then was rude and told me I didn’t even look for the right turn lane and said I had failed. Never heard of someone failing because they were unable to turn right. There was no chances given and no understanding. We then went inside Rodgers plaza into the school to understand further why I had failed. The two women inside the school were very short and no help. They simply said we will have our manager call you when she has time.
People on the phone were helpful with scheduling, instructor for my road test was the concise no-nonsense type. All in all good experience. The road test spot is in the east end of the Rogers Plaza. These other reviews are hilarious, its not the instructors job to be your bud. Driving is dangerous, theyre just there to make sure you can handle it.
The first sign should have been that they dont pick up the phone at any time you call, did not receive a call back for three weeks. When I finally got an appointment I got my appointment cancelled an hour before my scheduled time. They woman in the office said I would not be able to get another appointment till a month later and that was my only option besides being on call for last minute cancellations. I had to schedule my days off around this just for it to be cancelled. Sad experience and bad customer service.UPDATE: has been over a month and have still not received my refund
I had a great experience at Century Driving School in Wyoming. I took lesson from Ronald Bistline. He is a good trainer, gave me good driving tips specially for Parking (Reverse and Parallel) which really helped me boost confidence for my final Road test. I passed my Road test and the examiner Bruce Masopust was clear in his instructions which was easy for me to follow. Thank you Ronald, Bruce and Century Driving School! :)
My boyfriend went here and passed I his first try. The guy he was with was very nice and laid back. Id give it 4 stars because they werent outstanding or anything, but their rating is much lower than they deserve.I took my test, and Bob was so kind. I was very nervous and he was sure to get my mind of the nervousness. He gave me good advice for later in my driving life. He was just so great. :)
I have taken driving test here, I dont know where exactly I did mistake, entire session was smooth and perfect but at end he said I ran Red light but I didnt. Also at one time instructor said left at intersection and I did followed and moved and stopped at left only lane. But then at the moment he said I forgot we need to go right and I said I cant its not right thing , then he took steering into his hand and pulled right and asked me hit the gas when their is a vehicle behind usSo its ok for them to make violations on road.Completely unethical session.J Albright or Mark better avoid these instructors just in case. You got no option to choose other driving school. Most important point : At any cost avoid their rental cars , they are so worst which will make you fail your test.
I took my road test at the Rogers Plaza location in Wyoming today and felt as though the test was straight forward but my driving instructor, Bruce Masopust, seemed annoyed with me asking questions and somewhat rude throughout the duration of test. What put a bad taste in my mouth was the way he rushed me to complete my parallel parking segment. Although I passed, his somewhat hostile demeanor could’ve been kept to a minimum. After all, this should be a professional certified by the state of Michigan driving school... If I hadn’t of passed I probably would’ve given it a 1 star though.
The evaluators are racists here, based on my personal and others experiences international people definitely avoid this school. They are so pathetic about earning money they will deliberately fail youMost important avoid their rental cars the have lot of faults and too old not smooth drivable which indeed gonna make your driving experience bad and ultimately end up as reasons to fail youAvoid Century and better take test in Detroit.
Excellent instructors. I had let my license lapse for over 7 years (it was actually 15 years, have been riding the Rapid bus) so I had to go to S.O.S. and take the written test again, wait, and schedule a road test for at 30 days out. The test is $50, but they let you rent a car for $30 so thats $80. But since I had not driven much in 15 years I wanted practice so I paid for an hour at time. The first hour I got Adam, he is a little bit of a stickler, and stern with you. However, that is needed to break old habit, like driving with one hand, you fail the road test if you do that. Also, you fail the road test if you go 28 in a 25 mph zone twice. I wanted more practice since Adam review the rules and Michigan laws for almost 20 minutes. I scheduled a second lesson with Mary ( who use to drive the Rapid buses), and she can be a smart aleck back to someone like me. Mary made me get on the highway 196 and that was scary. The first time I would only go 45mph-60, the minimum speed is 55 if traffic conditions allow. Mary helped me getting a 3rd lesson scheduled so I go could drive on the highway for 35 min and practice parking for 15 min, and work on things that the examiner will make sure you do like checking blind spots during lane changes and before making left turns. While most like to give the instructors or examiners a bad review, I appreciate that fact that Adam told me that I was too rusty, and Mary told me, that I might pass be the skin of my teeth, unless I got an extra hour of practice in. And that 3rd hour of practice meant the difference between passing and failing. I passed because of Adam and Mary, and even did perfect on the parallel parking because of Marys instruction. I had Bob as a state examiner. You have to make sure you do everything right with two hands, signal, check blind spots twice, and then go. I enjoyed having Bob, the only guy that talks as much as me, which can be a distraction, but even while talking you have to stay focused on the road, mirrors, and cars. Anyways, thank you Century Driving, all the schedulers that dealt with me, Adam ( even though you were stern about the round about), Mary (and the extra tips, especially thank you for all your assistance, the highway practice, and the parking practice, and you survived. Btw, I think I drive better than half the bus drivers (laughing). Century rocks. You dont get a licence because your mother or you paid for a test, you have to do everything right. I knew from the time a scheduled my test there is a chance I could fail the test, but that is why you practice ahead of time. If you park correctly and do everything legally on the road test, driving safely and checking you blind spots you should pass the test. Thanks again Century. I did pay for 3 hours of practice before I took my road test, but it was well worth it, to have instructors help you practice. Remember, I have had a license but hadnt driven much in 15 years (other than my moped).
Wade was calm, composed, fair, and very reasonable. His directions were very clear, straight to the point, and easy to follow—both for the parking and driving portions. I took my test on 28th st near Centerpoint, and it wasn’t that bad despite the traffic of the area. He was extremely professional, and even gave me helpful pointers while on the highway. Absolutely zero complaints, and I recommend him; honestly, these reviews are probably biased because only people who are extremely satisfied/dissatisfied write one, and you’ll likely be fine.
I went here to take the test. We had a little difficulty finding the place at first (for the test go to the cones, not the building). My instructor was very friendly; we quickly connected on classes and colleges (yes we had a conversation the entire time but it was never used as a distraction to trick me into failing). The only thing I didnt like was having to park against cones- they were made tall enough that I could see them but they were still very different from actual cars I was used to parking with. Be sure to practice parallel parking with imaginary cars before you take the test.
This school is really good! I took 4 adult classes and got my license. My instructor Jacquie was very wonderful. She helped me understand all the concepts and really helped build my confidence. I would recommend this driving school to anybody who is looking to take driving lessons.
The Instructor was very rude and it really just seemed like they wanted our money and to get out of their way. When we asked questions about the points and how they worked he gave us vague answers and told us not to worry about it. I would not recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a comfortable experience for their road test.
Jackie an instructor at the center pointe mall location was a rude and hostile person who deliberately made me fail my driving test. She gave poor instructions then fail me for a none illegal turn. She is uneducated on the rules of the road and should not be employed by century driving. If you have her as an instructor you should just reschedule with someone else she is a vile and disrespectful person. If you need any more proof just read other reviews that mention her and you won’t find good things.
This was a terrible experience. We were instructed to drive to a parking lot location behind Rogers Plaza. We arrived and there was no instructor present. No instructions posted. When the instructor finally did arrive, he looked like he had a bad day already... Not personable. Not talkative. Not kind, and certainly not reassuring. More intimidating than anything. As I was brining my teenage daughter here, this was very disconcerting and amplified her nervousness. Not a beginner-friendly approach. The first part in the parking lot went fine, but during the road test, the very first turn into traffic the man failed her. I asked him if she did anything illegal, or unsafe and he said no, but it could have been unsafe if other drivers on the road came into her lane, and he was nervous. His nervousness cost me $50.I would not recommend Century driving to any beginner, and should have read the other reviews here before we made our decision.
Had a really nice road test with Bruce. He keep it real smooth even in the heat today thank you for ridding with me with no AC .all of his directions was real clear and to the point. He stayed calm and clear during the full test . Im bringing my sister here for her test too . Thank you Bruce and Century Driving
Extremely dissatisfied, paid $49 drivers test + $31 rental car for my son to take driving test. He was there for no longer than 5 minutes when outsourced company Integrity driving failed him because he bumped a cone. Couldnt you have at least taken him on the driving portion and told him what he could improve upon? $80 for 5 minutes, come on! And he failed the kid right in front of my son as well and my husband told me he thinks this place is a scam. Wish I would have read the reviews, ugh!
I dont know about the other people who took their road toast here, but this is definitely a great place to go. Me and my boyfriend took our tests the same day. they did double schedule our appointments but we got in the same day and the same time we wanted. Plus we called the office and told them about our problem and they gave us a discount because of the error. My driving instructor was really good. He wasnt mean or screachy, he was very nice. Definitely go here!
My daughter had the road test at Centerpoint mall... The guy is not the nicest guy ever, but dont let that bother you! He was very professional... very good directions, and instructions explaining where to go. Also good feedback what she did wrong and tips for improvment. She did pass, but it would have been ok, if she did not... for me it seemed like couple too many mistakes. It was a good experience.Sami Minkkinen
EXCELLENT class to take, Bruce was my instructor he takes his job Very Seriously, but also has a sense of Humor, I Highly recommend this class!!! This was for the motorcycle testing. The office staff was also friendly and had me an appointment within a couple days, you wont have that luck anywhere else!!!
Worst place ever to take a test. I went there to the Second time took a test at the same place becos its very near to my working place. Examiner said they cannot allow the car from Avis i said ok then when I asked their own car. She wants the cash on the spot. She didnt even allowed me to call to the Driving school to book a car. No at all cooperating. 50 bucks for nothing. She gave a full hard time.
They are just out for your money. You have to use their cars and wear a mask (which I agree and understand), but they give the kids no chance to get used to the car. They mark them down for very tiny little thing. I would not recommend. I think they are just out to get people to pay for the test multiple times.
How to take the road test three times thats $150. Failed all three times as they say. But had someone watching me in my family and instructor said I failed buy parallel parking he said I hit a cone. My sister who was watching me said I didnt hit nothing she was watching the whole time. Anything to get your money and swear never again will I use them.So I went to Michigan road testing and passed yesterday. that goes to show you this place wants your money. I know how to drive I just think this place is all for your $$ I wouldnt recommend this place at all.
Paid $50 to take the test here (wish I had read the reviews or I never would have scheduled the test here). When I got there it was super sketchy - its just two guys in the back of a parking lot waiting for people to test, no signs at all to find it. I had to call. Also, the area has a TON of traffic and is super packed.I could not take it because we hadnt updated the Michigan tabs. My bad, sure, but then the fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. I never took the test.So make sure you have all your documents up to date and in order and read all the other reviews.
Very professional from the start of signing up to the online zoom school the driving instructors are very friendly and professional the office staff is amazing will work with you if a issue should arise testing day was very smooth and professional last but not least the emailing of certifications was super fast and professionalI would highly recommend this company to others this is my second child that has taken drivers training there and my child will take second segment with century with out a doubt will also be looking into the state final road test with themThe driving instructors really impressed me cleaning there cars in between groups of kidsThanks
I had the driving instructor Karyn, it was my first time driving on the highway and she was yelling at me the entire time instead of teaching me. This was only my third drive and I’ve already had a bad experience. Instead of yelling at me, which was extremely disrespectful. She should’ve told me nicely what to do.
Had jackie the first time she was extremely rude and turned my ac on high like is yall gonna compensate me extra gas money for her being comfortable? During the parking portion i asked if i were to back up would that count as a point and her reply was what did i just tell you? She explained to me in the beginning of the road test what the rules were and all but I was just asking for clarification again, why would that be her reply? I was just asking a question because i was nervous already taking this road test. I failed the first time however had bruce the second time and he had no issues and was very nice.
This is the worst place ever for a life changing experience like getting license. The instructor Mark Molewyk was cold , insensitive and unenthused and we felt like he just wanted to get this over with so he could move on with his day.THIS PLACE IS A MONEY PIT. Marking students down for things that does not warrant multiple retesting. I would never recommend a place like this that depletes the spirit of young people on for profit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY LN THIS SCAM.
Jackie at the center pointe location was rude and disrespectful from the beginning of my girlfriends driving test. She gave vague instructions and was very hostile and rude to my girlfriend and I. After I presented her my digital insurance card on my phone and she failed to read the date properly and told me my insurance was expired when the expiration date is 12/10/18. She then failed my girlfriend for no legitimate reason and did not even give her the testing score card or written reasoning why she failed expect for vague mention of an improper turn. Someone this rude and blatantly ignorant about the rules of the road should not even be qualified to administer these test. She failed my girlfriend for making a turn into the left lane which is not illegal, or stated as an instant failure in the DMV guidelines for the road test in Michigan. I am disheartened that century still employs such a vile person. If you read other reviews that specifically mention her you’ll find more negative feedback and unfortunate experiences with her, this is just unacceptable and century should no longer employ her.
I would never take my road test here again people told me to not go here because they will fail you and not tell you why and that’s exactly what happened to me with the instructor mark molewyk I took my parking his said I failed I asked why what did I do he shook his head and said I failed severely I said could you tell me the man said no but you can reschedule in the office! I called them and they said theirs nothing they can do about it but charge me 90 dollars again to retake it !
Worst driving school and evaluators their cars. Those cars are so old, brakes and acceraltor doesnt work properly which will for sure male you fail in test.I think they may be earning money by failing everyone so chances are better get your own car or check out other options
This place is GARBAGE. DO NOT go to ANY of their locations. Not at Woodland, Holland, or Wyoming. My sister went to take a test and needed proof of insurance. Instructor said she had time to get it. She got the proof of insurance and the instructor LEFT without notice. We called and they said that the instructor does not have to tell them when she leaves (?!?!?!) That is unprofessional and ridiculous! Now she has to pay another $50 to reschedule.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. I AM POSTING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE I AM DETERMINED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS AUTHORITY . My brothers permit was at the point of being expired on November 7 he called sometime in October to schedule the road test he intiallty wanted to set it up before the expiration because that’s what your suppose to do right?? Whoever assited him , schedule the appointment days after the expiration date. At that moment he didn’t realize that it was schedule after that date until the day of the road test . Instead of those people understanding that “things happen” they wanted another $25 fee (A total of $75) To F”$&in reschedule , even if it was on same day!!!?? What I do not understand is WHY are these people not verifying the dates before scduleing any kind of appointment when situations like this happens??. I called and spoke to Phillis who was extremely rude ! She started to talk to me with unnecessarily emphasise words as if I was mentally challenge and I do not appreciate that because that is DISCRMINATION AND DEGRADING TO THOSE WHO ARE DISABLE if you record your phone lines please take the time to listen to Phillis and I conversation. the sad part is i toke my road test 7 years ago at this same facility and I never Inconter this kind of unprofessionalism . I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLES YOU WANT TO BE RIP TF OFF .
People on the phone are rude. My tester jim was horrible and failed me for things I did not do. I had a witness watch the test and he told me I did not do the things I was failed for on my motorcycle test. Complete waste of my time considering I took work off to go to holland for the test. Do not schedule a test with jim.
Unbelievable! They shouldnt even get one star. I wouldnt be surprised if the employees at the Rogers Plaza location are on some heavy drugs. Most unprofessional business Ive ever seen. I went there for a road test. Which never happened. I filled out the registration on their website. I picked a date & time. I then got a confirmation email CONFIRMING the appointment! When I showed up a few days later for the actual road test, they said I didnt have an appt. for me. They asked if I paid online with a credit card. I said no. I planned on paying right now in cash. (since their website said they accept cash, check, money order, or credit card) They said ahhhh, thats the problem! you lost your appt. because you didnt pay online with a credit card. She also stated that I shouldve called them AFTER I completed everything on the website. That way, she could have told me to pay with a credit card in advance. By this point, I thought why do they even have a website for registration, making appointments, and sending confirmation emails. Its all a waste of time because you gotta do the whole thing again on the phone. Then they can fill you in on other important information that isnt listed on the website. A confirmation email definitely should not have been sent. They need to make it clear on their website that you cant pay on the day of the appointment. If its not done by credit card at the time its filled out, you lose the appointment.Thats just about one girl that worked there. The other girl I had to deal was dumber than a box of rocks. Maybe she was just really high? She was really weird at the front desk. I told her my name and that I had an appt. Her response, stared at me for about 30 seconds. Didnt say anything. Didnt try to check the comp. Just looking at me all spaced out. Since she didnt say anything, I had to start asking stuff like, Do you need to check my cars registration, insurance, etc... took about 20 seconds before she said, no. Then that blank look again at me. I asked where I could find the instructor since she clearly had trouble thinking. She did a little better with that question. Almost normal...Never going back there again!
I believe if you are in Grand Rapids and would like to take your test DO NOT use there website. Its completely horrible they dont give you office hours and the confirmation email doesnt confirm your spot to take the test. I have heard from many people that its a waste of money and have horrible staff. Anyone who gave 5 stars most have went to another location.
Terrible school. Had I checked the reviews first it would have saved me time and money. They provided incorrect information regarding what was needed for each stage of the license process. Each stage has been a hassle. What a waste of time and my child still cannot get the secondary license because of their misinformation. I would recommend going anywhere but Century.
There is no way to contact the school after business hours or on the weekend although they schedule tests for these times. If something comes up and you have to miss your test after hours or on the weekend they will still charge you the full fee and you will have to pay another full fee to reschedule.
Grand Haven Century...very non-informative on the phone about the parking points and how you need to pass that before going on the road and wanted payment up front by credit card. Once she got there, he was militant and did not explain the parking points either so she failed the parking and has to pay to go back. We will go to Mosleys next time.
The lady I had was rude as hell. I will never go there again and I will make sure no one else goes either. When I got there I got lost and when I came she was just so rude!!😡😡 DO NOT go to this driving school ever!!!! If I could I wouldnt even give it a star but I have too!
Century is so bad the instructors will make you feel like you dont know your doing and I invested to much money in them never again will I go neither should yall it should only take your first or second try but I did everything right all good turns drove with confidents but theses people just want money
The teacher at Century driving school named Karyn she is the most disrespectful teacher ever and she will say stay calm in the car while you behind the wheel but she yells at you while you’re driving That is not how you teach kids or teenagers how to drive behind the wheel and be prepared

2022-03-31Very disappointed with their testing. My son has been practicing regularly and really is a good driver. Lets start with first impression. We pulled up and I greeted the tester with a smile and a friendly hello... I asked how are you today? The tester ignored the question and got right down to business. We were ten minutes early so that was not what made the man grumpy. My son passes the first part of the test in the cones, however during the parallel parking portion the tester wasnt paying attention and admitted it to my son so he had not seen if there were any deductions, but he passed him there. Things seem to be going fine other than the fact that the tester was not paying attention. They head out for the road portion of the test and this is where I felt most confident that my son would be fine. They get back and my son told me the grumpy instructor claims he repeated the same issue three times (something he has never done while driving with me), plus he claimed my son cut people off on the highway while changing lanes. I was not there, but my son has never done the thing the instructor claimed happened three times ever while driving with me. My son also claimed there is no chance he cut anyone off. He failed my son and now we have to go through this again. This was a waste of money and time.I would never recommend this driving school to anyone unless they allow you to use a dash cam so you can see whatever they claim your young driver is doing wrong-especially when the instructor claims there were repeated mistakes my son never has made in the past.

2022-04-08I took my road test today with Instructor Denise and she was so helpful and patient! I was super nervous and she did her best at making me feel comfortable! I would recommend this facility for taking your road test. And everything is by the book that is available for studying online.

2022-01-18I took driving lessons from Michael Roskamp and thanks to his very helpful guidance, I was able to pass my road test on the first try! He does a wonderful job of making you practice your weaker points so that you feel confident with your driving skills and also provides extremely helpful feedback regarding general driving and parking. I highly recommend his instruction for new drivers. Great teacher with an awesome personality.

2022-08-05I dont recommend taking you test here, there are cheaper places to take your test and the cars they use here are so compact you cant move without bumping into something. If you arent really tall you might as well be driving with a blindfold on. Instructions are unclear when given and the parking test is fine until if have to do the the blind side ways parking, there is nothing but blind spots in those cars and you cant see anything the car has no turn radius so when you turn the wheel you might as well be backing straight up. Had I had the ability to use my own car that I had been practicing in (which they dont allow and fine you for using theres) it would been fine as I would have the ability to see the cones and the very faded lines.

2022-02-25To all who are thinking about doing your road test with Century to get your license: I strongly recommend that you dont. Like others, I failed my first test here as well, and to be honest, it felt like I had failed before Id even got inside the car. Upon walking up to the car there wasn’t a smile nor was there a nice greeting very unprofessional and disrespectful. The car provided is extremely small and hard to use for parallel parking if your already use to using a bigger car with a bigger window in the back. The instructor could’ve been a little more nicer and welcoming knowing that I was a teen I will never recommend or use century again

2022-07-01My son went through Century driving for segment two and the official driving. After he passed the test for segment two and told me he was the first one done and scored 💯 on test. I received a call the next morning saying he failed. I trusted my son and told them there must be a mistake. Thank goodness they checked and yes there was a mistake he did pass! Then we scheduled the driving test the following week with Century driving. He passed instructor said he did excellent. We where told he could get his drivers license the next day online and given the information. I asked so we dont need to go to Secretary of State and the instructor explained things changed where everything online. Come to find out days later on my own research that we actually do need to go to the Secretary of State.I don’t have a complaint on the people working for Century driving but the communication and errors. Just imagine telling your teenager you didn’t pass and they actually did. Or having them drive alone after passing the road test because you thought you didn’t have to go to Secretary of State to get your license. But find out you actually do. A lot of me having to make extra phone calls and emails to get things corrected.

2022-02-11Century Driving is an excellent place to learn how to operate on michigan roads, and more specifically, they are one of the few local wyoming driving schools to offer adult training. I had Michael Roskamp as my instructor, and he was a very nice gentlemen who helped me get road worthy within a few short weeks. The interiors of the cars I have driven while training were clean, and low mileage. They ran extremely well, and Century picked cars that have a wide variety of safety features that can help new drivers maintain proper attention to the road.Even the actual road test instructor was a very nice woman who kindly pointed out where i would need to improve on minor things. All in all, I highly recommend Century driving for your driving school needs. They can work with your schedule, and are very nice.

2022-07-13Firstly I arrived to take my test and all was going fine I got passed my parking section only to be given pretty unhelpful directions as to where I was going during the road section. I only drove down one road before his directions had me confused, his way to fix the situation would be continually changing lanes due to me passing the road front left to right until I reached the light where he made me return and failed me without ever making clear while on the road BEFORE the next two available streets that I had passed my original location.THEN after I called to try to rectify the situation the staff were wholly unhelpful and unprofessional and refused any additional help and then proceeded to hang up.
