Very pricey, but best potatoes ever
The food is good for a chain. Ive been pretty satisfied every time Ive eaten here. Chicken portions could be tad bigger and I would prefer the combos come with 2 small sides instead of one large side that takes up half the container.
So we ordered five chicken combo dinners we only got four and I called back I got placed on hold. I explained the situation to the first lady and got placed on hold again. Another worker picked up and were like can I take your order !? She told me that our cook forgot to cook the order and your only missing one order. Like DUH!!!! so they basically sent an incomplete order out!!! Horrible customer service. Never go there!
We just started coming here for carryout after our friends recommended it to us. Excellent customer service, pretty good chicken and potatoes, at a decent value. Go with the Shack Pack and it comes with a 2 liter of pop with it. Also, it is worth mentioning that this store was very clean, I noticed. We will be back!
Enjoy chicken shack location in riverview Michigan great service food prepared fresh and hot for pickup loves those potatoes with butter. Wish they bring back catfish on the menu. But overall 5 🌟.
Foods good but no one ever answers the phone even when they’re not busy, so it seems like they don’t wanna take orders. I called multiple times one day and no one picked up, bad customer service
Awesome! The chicken tenders are huge and juicy. I could only eat three of the five. Theyre so big. Cant wait to try the ribs. Onion rings are real onion rings not like what you get at BK drive-thru. Best chicken anywhere.
Ordered the chicken, potatoes, coleslaw and rolls for a party and it was a hit. Everyone was asking where did you get this chicken, its great! I was very pleased with everything. The order was ready on time for pick up, the food tasted wonderful and I will definitely be ordering again. Thanks Chicken Shack!
I always enjoy the tender bucket. However prices have gone up and makes it a luxury more than an everyday meal. I would like an extra sauce too for free.
Ordered inside no drive tru had to go back to car and come back in 15 min later and they wouldnt bring it out to the car not handicapp friendly chicken dark meat was good chicken fingers were a little dry shack potatoes were good fries were nothing special very pricy $23 drinks not included but they give you a good amount of food
I come to the Chicken Shack several times a month and I am never dissatisfied with my service until recently. The cashier told me one of their cooks were recently fired and since then the rest of the staff has been struggling. I really hope everything gets sorted out so my Chicken Shack can be great like it used to be!
Cook was picking his nose as I ask him how much longer and he said 12 minutes he just dropped my food. I had order 10 minutes prior I ask why are you just starting it and he says I have other orders . Really I was the only one in the building and the telephone had not rang since I had been there. Employee was very rude and then they were arguing and cook has a very bad attitude. Never go there again. Will however go to the one on Southfield and Dix they are cleaner and nicer.

Ordered and prepared paid in advance for my nieces graduation party...wouldnt take payment over the phone..which I get kinda..however to give my whole order away and think its okay and laugh about it...totally not acceptable! This is the 2nd time Ive ordered from here since June...it will be my last!

My order was very simple today wing ding meal with shack potato’s and corn. I struggle to see all these bad reviews and think it’s that bad. I was sadly mistaken to find out my order was to difficult to put together correctly. Last time I go sad to say.
Broasted potatoes with herb butter are a very tasty side to complement any meal...and, as the interior sign in the restaurant says, expect a 5- 10 minute wait, as food is prepared fresh. So I called ahead, arrived, and received my potatoes at elapsed time of 25 minutes! No explanation given. Not crowded, maybe four or five other orders got completed while I waited.
The food at the time of my visit was made to order. It was done right and tasted very good. Some could find it an issue with wait times when it comes to serving customers in that fashion but it results in freshly made food. If you like places similar to KFC or Churches you should like this place.Plenty of parking. Easy to enter and leave. Not sure if they actually use their drive thru window, at the time I came to the restaurant it was not being used and someone was actually parked at the front of the window. Assuming to promote it was not in service. Again not entirely sure if it was a one off or not.The staff was friendly and very up front and honest about wait times during my visit due to the volume of orders currently present. They were quick and accurate upon taking my order and making it. If they had more help it would definitely improve the wait times.For what it is (a fast food like restaurant) its a bit pricey but for the quality and taste it was fine. I didnt feel like I overpaid once I got my order. In fact their ribs are very competitively priced for what you get.In short, the wait times could be improved but I dont hold it against them due to the level of customer service they provided along with the quality of the food I received. Overall I would come here again and would say this is a step above a KFC. P.S. they have some really good barbecue sauce.
I have been buying chicken shack for years. Im very dissatisfied with the way they changed the packaging as if the cheap cardboard box wasnt bad enough. I received my rib dinners without the foil keeping the ribs and sauce separately from the potatoes or fries and the roll full of sauce like it was thrown on the ribs and the fries never again last 3 times they were awful uncooked fries absolute worst thing ever. I think a responsible older person needs to oversee things in the shack your service is slipping and for your price people will stop buying.
I just truly enjoyed the last 30 minutes of my life. I randomly stopped to get something quick to eat and the staff is hysterical. In the best way. I am not being sarcastic or mean I honestly enjoyed my visit. The banter between staff members was just lovely. Then this idiot guest broke their pop machine and said nothing to no one. I ran over when I realized it was overflowing onto the floor and the guest who broke it just looked at me like the mouth breather he was saying...I dont know, I dont know. Anyhow, I wanted to commend your staff for just fixing the problem with kindness and efficiency. They are much more patient and kind then I could ever be. The food was excellent too...but the people made the visit memorable.
I did not even want to give it one star but it would not let me post my review unless I did... due to the service and when I ordered my dinner the potatoes were cold I told them and all they did was put them back in the fryer after I had eaten off the potatoes re served them to me I asked the manager did you just put those back in the fryer and he said yes I asked him why and told him that I had eaten off of them he told me he would give me fresh ones and all he did was pull them out put more butter on them and serve them to me again! Poor service and unsanitary!All I can say is WOW? 😡

Great food! Broasted chicken place, however the potatoes steal the show for me.. Broasted potatoes brushed with a butter sauce that keeps you coming back for more. Suggest calling in orders ahead of time, wait times can get long depending on how busy it is in the store.
Hated it! first time, last time. If youre in to candy sweet coleslaw, puny overcooked dry chicken, this is your place. Called and spoke with the manager. She told me this is their recipe, and was told maybe youre Chicken Shack people LOL I guess we are not.
I was craving southern fried chicken....this isnt it. The chicken was stringy and not flavorful. The onion rings were decent and the potatoes were a nice change. Overall, passable, but I wasnt a fan. There are better options in this area.

The wait was terrible! Was waiting in here 20 minutes plus! The staff seems to be distraught and doesn’t know what they’re doing. I’m a regular and asked about the bearded cook when he would be back next and found out he was fired! News to the owners customer service matter! And waiting in a lobby with people not doing anything and the phones ringing and no one is getting them. I suggest you bring the bearded cook back.
OMG the broasted potatoes are just to die for!!! They are perfect! The ribs are pork and they are very juicy. The food is pretty quick to walk in and order it to go. They have specials that are not on the paper menu. You should ask because they have a digital menu board that they update. Its very clean. There are public restrooms there.
Because the owner of this franchise is too cheap to provide complimentary packets of hot sauce, unlike other locations, I was charged extra without my knowledge for requesting hot sauce packets with my food. These are specifically the Chicken Shack brand packets, and usually the staff tells you they cost extra. The other franchises provide small, free off brand packets at no extra charge, or place bottles of Frank’s Red Hot around the restaurant for customer use. At least it would be nice to be told that I’m being charged extra, instead of assuming I’m willing to pay because I ask for them. No other location charges their customers, with or without their knowledge for hot sauce. It’s provided for free. This location rips off their customers!
Tried rib dinner today. 8 bones, coleslaw and a roll. Very good quality, but not for $17.49 plus tax. If I didnt have a -$5 coupon, then forget it. Their pricing is over the top compared to Zukins. At Zukins you get fries, coleslaw and a roll for 1/2 the price. Not mad just disappointed because Im still hungry.
The manager was rude and high cussing out the staff and owner saying she do t care about getting fired. When got my food it was cold and old

Very disappointed. I ordered for a pickup and was told 20 minutes. I arrived in 20 minutes and after waiting 10 more minutes, I asked about my order. Another 10 minutes and watching several people get their orders, I inquired again. I was apologized to and told this happened to someone else and that they forgot about setting it in another spot.Several people working, yet 1 person seemed to be working more then others. I believe he was the one that forgot about my order. He was getting everyone elses order and even delivering them to their table?With all the traffic is why I ordered ahead, so I could just pick it up and bring home to company on their way over. I didnt have time to wait, nor did I have or go somewhere else. Everything was cold and ...Wow! I got a free Brownie! I wont be back.
This is the only place I will order ribs from. The meat falls off the bone. I also enjoy the broasted potatoes. I dont like too much sauce on my ribs for the most part they are usually pretty good.

Generally you guys nail it but today, you were off. Missed a veggie side on our carryout and maybe the fryer wasnt working well as potatoes and onion rings were not hot. Just thought youd want to know. Chicken and pork chop were ok.

The food is always consistently very good. It is a bit pricey in my opinion, but none the less of very good quality.I recommend that you order ahead and avoid the wait for it to be prepared. It’s always cooked to order.

They screwed up my order we got Melissas chicken tenders instead of the wings, legs, and thighs we ordered. It also cost us 2 bucks more. Also can you put a little more grease on your potatoes, I have 2 more cars that need greasing.

I have been eating at Chicken Shack since I was a kid, not long after they opened their original location. I was hoping the food in Riverview would be like I remembered in Royal Oak and it was! I love their ribs, chicken and fish!
The chicken was very greasy. But still good the workers were on their telephone more than they were working. The place was so dirty they could at least been working to clean something but other than that it was okay

I had laid off Chicken Shack due to 1 bad experience, but LOVE the food and decided not to let one bad experience deter me from odering again welp this WILL be the last time I placed a order for a $14.00 4 pc dinner and it was AWFUL 👎 I should have went for a Burger instead, the potatoes were dried out and cold the chicken wasnt fresh tasting either they had to had given me food that was sitting from lunch this was just like the first experience EXCEPT I was told I was given extra chicken because the pieces were so small NOPE the chicken was old AF and they needed to get rid of it. So that being said, IM DONE with this location and Chicken Shack.

Get the A.C. fixed or at the very least put some fans out. We the customers pay way to much to wait in a 100* dinning room for our food. And be human and think about your employees.

Nothing beats chicken shacks chicken and potatoes. Only reason I’m not giving it a 5 is that the guy they had running the register just simply shouldn’t be there, he should be the guy you hide in the back. Hated his job hated the fact I walked into the store and made him have to do something and not very clean like weird greasy pizza delivery guy kind of not clean. That guy is the face of your business, think about that.Also I spent 50 dollars in food but then had to pay 5 dollars for a few cups and ranch dressing that cost them pennies. Which turned me off to going back very often.7/6 grease ball angry guy gone or no longer working up front , now only 25 cents for ranch. But did take over 20 minutes for a 5 piece and some potato’s kind of ridiculous

2022-05-28Opened both of my boxes of chicken bites today and they look like they’ve been ripped apart. A lot of the ripped apart pieces are just breading, no chicken. Potatoes are also hardly buttered. I don’t know why as I was the only customer waiting. 3 stars because it is usually good, but super disappointed.

2022-03-16I think the portion sizes are great if not too big, I have no idea what others are talking about. The shack potatoes are amazing. The chicken bites are amazing. The food is always fresh and hot and my order has never been wrong in any way so far. After my initial visit I have always ordered ahead because it does take a little bit to prepare, and I paid the same for the chicken bites snack as I do now for the 2 egg breakfast special at Zorbas so I think the prices are pretty reasonable.

2021-09-29Had heard, was really good, I was not impressed, by food or cost, 1 chicken breast and potatoes over 8 dollars8.99 could have had whole, young man knew I had never been there before, offer no suggestions or help. Potatoes tasted good, but cook in butter I think were greasy. Wont be rushing back there, and dont serving until 11:00, if you need catering, before then out of luck.

2020-07-04Its been over 25 years since Ive had chicken shack. I havent lived closer enough to one to get it. So today was nice. My family and I loved it! Just like I remember. Crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. And the side of fries was shockingly huge. Definitely enough for a family! Well be returning again soon for our fried chicken. Forget that other place!
