Comment: My wife took her vehicle in for service at Sedano Ford and she told them we purchased the maintenance package and they told her they couldnt find anything, it must just be for the dealership where we purchased the vehicle. Just an FYI thats not a thing when you buy a new vehicle from Ford. The maintenance plan is good for all Ford dealerships nation wide. I called and left a voicemail for the service manager Scott Witt and did not get a reply. They made my wife pay and use her Ford rewards to cover the cost for something we already paid for. Make sure you check your service receipt before you leave. Will never do service there again. Then we find out that when took it in for its 2nd service, 1st one was complimentary, they didnt use the maintenance plan we purchased they used our reward points as well. My wife left a voicemail with the service manager and no reply. Next step is Ford corporate to file a formal complaint.

Comment: Had a scheduled appointment at 7am for an oil change. Decided to get a tire rotation.2 hours later still havent heard anything.Finally I walk over there to see if my vehicle is ready. The guy said, oh ya. It is.I pay. And as Im walking away, I look at the invoice and notice they didnt do the tire rotation. I ask why didnt they do the tire rotation? He told me the that the lug nuts were swollen.So I waited for 2 hours for an oil change and no one telling me the reason for not rotating my tires.Guess they didnt want the business.Service rep was Christian Lora Val.Wont go there again.

Comment: The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with this dealership. Had my vehicle go in for a recall which i called ahead for to make sure that they had ALL of the required parts which they stated that they did. When I brought my vehicle in the service advisor to “assist” was Juan Luna who tried to get me to sign a sheet without explaining what it was. He got visibly upset when I stated that I would need to see and read what I’m signing. Later on in the day I received a call that they needed to order more parts and that my vehicle would be staying the day. While Juan Luna did state that pieces do break and they may need to get more in he also STATED that they had all the parts for my recall which they did not because he also said that the parts needed were part of the recall. I made NUMEROUS attempts to contact the service manager which is impossible. I had 2 people send him a message and an email to have him get in contact with me which did not happen. Called a third time to make an attempt to talk to him after I received my car because there was a new scratch on my vehicle that cannot be fixed with touch up or with paint correction. You can tell that it was done there because there was greasy finger prints that show there was an attempt to rub the scratch off which was done unsuccessfully. Juan Luna stated that the recall did not require any work to be done on the exterior handles of the doors. Maybe he should educate himself before speaking on that matter as he is a service ADVISOR and not a Service Tech. The procedure for the 16S30 / 20S30 recall repeat repair requires the door handles to be removed in order for the pawl spring to be removed and reinstalled. Once I picked up my car and my wife got in my car she also noticed that the door panel was loose. I have attached a picture which shows that it was not properly set. After my attempt today to call the service advisor once more and another supervisor I was still unable to reach anyone that could help me on this matter.

Comment: Oil change was great but also brought the car in for an overall check. Was told the battery needed to be replaced. Also because the auto on/off selector button wasn’t working. The first technician said it would be $100 to check the electronics to find the cause of the auto on/off (for when the car shuts off at a stop light and automatically restarts on acceleration). After denying any further troubleshooting due to an increase in cost, went back to the service center to pick up the car. A second service rep made the comment that the auto on/off doesn’t work with a marginal battery (strange!). After self replacing the battery (at half the ford cost) everything (magically) works just as the second technician stated. Sort of feel ripped off on the $100 technical check just to come back to a low voltage battery.Seems more training is needed between service reps!

I doubt the car was actually washed as there were pollen spots all over the windows. The “car washing” delayed my pick up of my car.As a female customer I would never return unless absolutely necessary such as a recall .

I have only positive things to say about the service I received.My only disappointment is That I was not able to have a service car from Ford for use during the 4 days my car was being serviced. They were all being used. It was supposed to be 1-2 day process that turned into 4 days. I feel i should have been offered a rental car. I ended up renting a car on my own. Enterprise extended Fords discount to me. Per Shawn they could not cover my rental costs. Very disappointing!Between my husband and i we have purchased 7 Ford vehicles from that location. I have always been given a rental car when my car gets serviced lasting longer than a 1-2 days.

He went out of his way to ensure I was provided with excellent service and he kept me informed on all aspects of my service while my vehicle was there. All the other staff at CV Ford were excellent as well.During a previous service at CV Ford I was unfortunately dealt with by Service Advisor Joseph Chavez who was undoubtedly the worst service advisor I have ever dealt with. He kept my vehicle much longer than promised and refused to take my repeated phone calls and did not respond to my repeated voicemail messages. Comment: Stay away from this place. I took my Ford Edge to them because it was sporadicly losing power when trying to pass at highway speed. They failed to diagnose the problem and told me to drive the vehicle until the engine light came on. I did. When the vehicle experienced loss of power a few more times I got a scanner and it immediately showed two engine problem codes --P0315 and P1016. I called the service advisor and he told me to wait until the engine light came on. After a couple of weeks of driving I took the vehicle back to Chula Vista Ford because it was losing power. They had me pay about $1,400 for repairs and spark plug change. Five days after the repairs, and six weeks after I took the Edge to Chula Vista Ford for the first time, the engine light came on. I took the vehicle back to Chula Vista Ford and they told me I now basically needed a new engine because of coolant intrusion into the cylinders -- TSB 22-2229 -- with a repair estimate of $9,600. These guys are incompetent!!! They could have prevented the problem had they done their job the first time around. Thats like telling a person which heart attack symptoms to wait until they have a heart failure. What a joke!

It is widely known that most southern california ford dealerships are some of the worst in the country to do business with but Chula vista ford may be the worst. I worked with a sales Manager named Brando who is absolutely impossible to get a response from. I currently have two pending items that were in my Purchase Contract that are due to me that I have not yet received. It has been multiple calls/emails over the last 6 months since i purchased my vehicle and no response from Brando or anyone from the dealership who can actually help or wants to help get the issues resolved. All the support and front desk staff do is pass along the info to Brando for him not to do his Job. Once you sign and hand over the cash they will avoid you at all costs. Just avoid the headache and buy at any other ford dealership because there is no way the service can be worse than at Chula Vista Ford.

That was absolutely not the case here. I was greeted quickly by my awesome salesmen, David Levie, and had the smoothest, most laidback test drive in my 2024 Ford Mustang. David wasnt hurling questions at me left and right about my budget, down payments, estimated monthly income, or trying to sell me cars I wasnt interested in. He was very cool and collected. Once we got to numbers and his sales manager, Brando, came into the mix, we had a very fun back and forth conversation about the things I would like and wouldnt like on the car and Brando absolutely crushed a deal out for me that was impossible to pass up. So I ask him to give me a supervisors contact information or name because I wanted to speak to some one above him lies and tells me he can’t do that . Until another sales person gives it to me and says sure we can give it to you no problem and he actually apologized and was more understanding than the sales manager. I leave messages, voice mails to the general manager and service department supervisor no one reach back out to me it’s been 3 weeks . Not a call back not an email . I never was able to get my car back that same day I had to wait till next morning till they opened and was told from the service tech that he did call me to pick up the car which is a lie . I never got a call or anything . One thing I noticed is that any time I’ve done an oil change at other ford dealerships they leave a sticker on your windshield that has the date and mileage for your next oil change they didn’t even do that, which leads me to believe they might not have even done my oil change … horrible service horrible communication save your selves the headache dealing with these people shady business wouldn’t trust leaving any car there .

All giving me conflicting information, many of which could not give me a confirmation letter, so for months I thought I just thought my order wasnt ever going to get fulfilled.I love the car, its everything I ever wanted, but I put $10,000 dollars down, on a $35,730 vehicle I ordered over a year ago and had to finance $30,000. Lets see why.I called Ford in advance to see if my vehicle was price protected as it started at $28,000 in 2022, and jumped up to $35,730, so they gave me a $2,500 rebate.That means the car was actually $33,230.Taxes, processing, government fees add up to $3,644.Brings it back up to $36,874Okay, Ill finance about $27,000 I thought 🤔.When the car was finally built, I called Chula Vista Ford and spoke to multiple sales reps all still trying to steal this sale from who I ordered the car with originally. I even spoke to a Tom Walker on the phone about not having any accessories or dealership options. He agreed, was very accommodating, and said everything I wanted to hear in order to try to steal the sale.DEALERSHIP OPTIONS:KARR GUARD ALARMNITRO FILLETCH/THEFT CODEI spent hours trying to get them to take these off, they told me it was standard on EVERY car that comes in. My car arrived the day before. The guy told me multiple lies.- we add those options as soon as they arrive.- it would cost them money to remove.- I agreed to these accessories when I ordered my car over a year ago.My original sales rep met me when I arrived, showed me the car as soon as I got to the dealership, they hadnt added any of those options yet. No etched gas, they didnt air out my tires and add nitro air in them, and the KARR GUARD ALARM is set up weeks later.Which means it wouldnt cost them anything to remove because it wasnt on yet in the first place.I definitely didnt order the car WITH accessories because I already knew back then I didnt want them, I had plans specifically for this truck. Also the original build for my car no longer existed, since I ordered a 2022, or a 2023, but I got a 2024. Nothing in writing saying I agreed to those accessories, I asked and they couldnt provide me any proof.I asked them to show me in writing that I couldnt take those options off. Didnt show me that either.Gabriel, my original sales rep, was trying to work with me, he really was, but his manager took over and would not budge on a single accessory that he knew I didnt agree to.He knew he was lying.If youre going to go here, just know in advance theyre going to add another $2,485 on top of whatever price you agree on. Comment: I bought my 2020 F150 on October 2020, when it was Penske Ford. My experience was pleasant with the sales person. My experience from picking the truck to driving of the lot took approximately four hours. What took the longest, was waiting for the finance guy, which they only had one. I was the last customer at the dealer when I drove of the lot. My case was very easy. Excellent credit, I took the first offer they gave me, and I did not negotiate the price. I was pretty much an easy sell, I said yes to everything. For a sale like that, I should have been in and out in an hour max. The time it took to complete the process, is the reason why I am giving it a three star. Since I was the last customer, by the time I got with the finance guy, he seemed quiet, and just wanted to get through the process as fast as possible, I dont blame him, I wanted to get out of there quickly also. However, I will say that the finance person briefed me on everything I signed, and told me my APR when I asked him. Sometime in the middle of signing papers I asked what about extended warranty? He seemed asthinished that I asked about extended warranty. I pretty much told him I wanted and extended warranty that would cover everything, I dont want to pay anything when I come to the dealer for service or repairs. Essentially pre-pay everything. He told me to get a highest warranty and pre-pay maintenance they have, and I did. I have been pretty happy with the truck.On the service part of the house. Service always takes forever. Be prepared to wait 2-3 hours on a simple oil change, and inspection, even with an appointment. Since 2021, for all my services I have not paid, looks like my pre-pay works so far. However, my last service, which was about two weeks ago, I asked to have a brake fluid flush in accordance with my F150 owners manual. In my manual it states that a brake fluid replacement is recommended every three years. When I asked for the flush, I was surprised that I had to pay for that. No big deal, Ill pay for that service. Overall 3 stars for service department due to the amount of time it takes to service your vehicle for a simple oil change, even with an appointment.I cant remember the name of my last service rep, two week ago. But he gets 5 stars overall for customer service! I showed up to my service appointment early, in military uniform because I was in transit to work and decided to wait for my vehicle. He greeted me friendly, asked me what I wanted to get done, and kindly informed me I had to pay for the brake flush. Upon completion of my service, my service rep took the time to help me out in off setting some of the cost of the brake flush. He informed me I had 40,000 ford point that I had never used. I baleieve I got the point when I purchased the vehicle. He asked me if I wanted to use my points towards the service and I agreed. I ended up not paying anything! I would have never known if my service rep had not taken the time to look into it. He decided to take the time without me asking him. That is 100% customer service at its finest.If Chula Vista Ford management reads this review, I have some feedback that help out internal proceeses in ensuring better customer satisfaction.-There are customers, like myself, who dont care about pricing, have excellent credit, and the funds (cash, pre approval, or finance through dealer) to purchase a vehcile. These type of people know exactly what they want and time is valuable. I would recommend this dealer implements a speedy buying process for this type of people.-Invest in adding two drive-thru lanes for vehicles only requiring oil changes, and tire rotation. Something similar to those 15 minutes drive-thru services that are all around town. I have seen drive-thru oil changes at other dealers in San Diego. This add-on would aleviate a lot of waitting time for customers and would greatly improve customer satisfaction.

Comment: This Dealership sold me an unsafe Car that has flood damage this car get fill with water every time it rains. After I made them aware of the issue l was told leave a voicemail and we will have someone call you back. I have being waiting for about 3 months! I’m taking legal action. Please please stay far far away from this Dealership!

Comment: This place is absolutely horrible. Schedule my 2017 Ford Fusion for Maintenance and Service. I arrive at 0850 and had to wait 15-20 minutes just to be checked in. My appointment time was 0920, so I was a bit early. I am told that it will take a few hours and I could received a ride, up to 7 miles, home. I declined since I know I live double the distance. I told the technician that I would be fine. So I sit in the waiting room for a while. I walked around and then went to lunch. I come back at 1430 because the promise time on my invoice was 1440. I let someone know I have arrived and that I will be in the waiting room. I sit there for quite some time. At 1600, I still have not gotten my vehicle. I look at my Ford Pass App and see that my car has not been powered on or moved since 1101! So finally I go to the Service Managers Office. A gentleman walks in and finally, he takes me back to Alex, who had checked me in earlier. Alex tells me that my car has not received all of its checks yet and that he doubted they would get to it the same day. After having waited over seven (7) hours, my scheduled service was still not completed. SEVEN HOURS!! STILL NOT COMPLETED. I tell him that I will not wait any longer because this is ridiculous. He tells me that he will check me out and that I can wait on the blue bench for my vehicle. As he gives me my invoice this time, the promise time now says 1700. I did not get a text, a call, nothing. Nothing telling me that my vehicle was delayed; having sat in their waiting area nearly 2 hours after my promise time. Finally, after waiting on the blue bench for 10 minutes, they bring my car. Why I was surprised, I do not know, but they did not even clean it. A service I had thought was a normal practice. It sure is everywhere else I have been with other vehicles. In summary, I waited over seven (7) hours for my service to not be completed and must return to have it completed. Surely, I wont be returning to this sad excuse for a service department.
