Always clean I use to stay over in the apartment across from this place for 3 yrs..was convenient. The attendees that work there always kept it clean and if a machine was down it would be very few..other places I been it was always 4 or more washers or dryers out of service...this place is EXCELLENT BATHROOM is always clean lm just saying I give credit where it is DUE and I will always come here so everyone is entitled to their opinion
City Coin Center is top of line for laundromats. It is very clean and always has machines available. With an ATM, quarter machine and laundry supplies available to buy, if you forget anything there is access to it rather than having to turnaround. And most importantly, the staff is great. Very attentive and helpful. Great customer experience all around.
I love this laundromat. I have been using it for two years now. It’s super clean, quiet, and has lots of machines. Some machines accept cards, which is really convenient. There’s free WiFi and a TV too. I’ve moved to a building with laundry now and I still come here when all the machines are in use because I like it so much (and because it’s cheaper!)
Its the only laundromat within walking distance of Wayne States campus, one of two laundries in Midtown, and one of the only wash-and-fold places I could find in the city. Not much to complain about other than the full-service is a little expensive ($1.25 per pound and theres a 12-pound minimum; still, its the only one in Midtown), and the single-load washers are $0.25 - $0.50 more per load than Ive seen at other laundromats in the area. Overall a clean, quiet, well-run laundry in a growing neighborhood.
The place is amazing they have the quality machines which can wash yourbeautifulclean and tidy. The best thing in the laundry is its so silent and most peaceful as you can bring a book and can read it without any trouble and last to be mentioned but its not the least the place is so clean. As the previous review I have seen in Google, They have a note already stating that if people are waiting for a machine in a rush day the attendent will take care of the unattended clothes of the customer.
As far as laudromats in Detroit go, this is one of the best. Its clean, safe, all of the machines work. They have wifi, decent restroom facilities and payment options. They also have the highest prices in the city. For that reason and how busy they are at times, could use more seating.
When the attendant told me she had no change for my $20 bill IN A LAUNDROMAT she suggested i go next door to the store and get change. i stood in line for 10 minutes there, no one came out and there were still 4 people ahead of me. i decided to just make change out of my $20 back at the laundromat since their coin machine supposedly accepts it. it rejects my 20 half a dozen times, no matter which way i put it in. the attendant blames me for using a bill with a tiny tear in it.... i use the ATM at a $3 service charge to get another $20 (that’s the minimum i could withdraw) no tears, straight from their own machine. that bill did NOT work. when i realized i just blew $3 and now had $40 cash that i couldn’t even use to do laundry with, i just walked out. it’s 7 pm, i already barely have time to do this laundry. fix your machines! carry some change! for christ’s sake, i worked at a coin laundry before. this is basic stuff. totally bogus first experience.
Pretty clean establishment, but the attendant is a old irritating ass lady who is obviously an OCD patient.. I was standing at a washer that was not in working condition and she continued to wipe it down as if she wanted me to move.. My son was standing at the vending machine and she starred at him until he picked something.. She annoyed the help out of me! I probably wont return, she made us very uncomfortable!!
Omg ......I used to go here alot. Nice place but that has changed. Customer service is horrible. Ants attack your lunch. I went to wash my clothes. While they washed i bought lunch for my daughter and I. The food needed to cool . Ten minutes or so later she goes to get her food and its covered in ants. They are everywhere on the bag in the bag on the wall on the floor everywhere. The food was still packed in the store bag. I tell the person on staff and she lets me know it not their problem. That Its my fault the ants attacked our meal. Why are the ants in the laundromat to begin with do they have a pest control program/problem . I have worked in the service industry for 25 years and have never treated a guest in this manner. She said it was my fault that the ants were attacking my lunch. HOW RUDE
Been going here for sometime however i will not return when you leave your cloths to wash and come back 5 min after they stop to find them piled up inside baskets on the side of the machine you were using its just ridiculous and the old man that works here is very rude his explanation for putting his dirty hands all on my clothes and my children clothes was its only two big machines it was needed yeah well invest in more machines then because returning 5min after your cloths stop to find them thrown everywhere isnt acceptable at all!!!!!!!!!
Bad costumer service, before he got popular it was all about the service once things picked up if you walked in 5 min after that machine stop someone has already put their hands in your clothes and take them out and they do not apologize or nothing they are too busy maintaining the turnover than your privacy or respecting your stuff.
When you travel, sometimes you have to stop for laundry, huh? This is the best place in Detroit. You can use small front washers ($ 3.50) or large front washers ($ 5.75) and dry them in dryers. You can find soap, fabric softener and change machines on site. Some machines even accept payment by credit card.

2022-01-14I would say avoid this laundromat unless you have to go there. Loads are way too expensive, compared to any machines that might already be in your apartment building if you live in the area. $6.25 for one wash cycle in a fairly standard sized machine; dryers can cost up to that much as well. So $12.50 for 1 load to wash and dry? The machines do wash/dry fairly quickly, though, so thats a benefit. Its misleading that they say credit/debit cards now accepted. Make sure you read the fine print that says on some machines. None of the dryers accept credit/debit.Finally, make sure you stay there and watch your clothes and/or other laundry items. Some petty thieves tend to pop in and out. Somebody took my cheapo detergent and fabric softener. Really?! Youre going to take somebodys detergent? I guess times must be really tough in the age of COVID.From now on Ill be using the smaller, cheaper machines in my apartment building. It might take a little longer to do my laundry, but I wont have to spend nearly as much money or worry about some clown walking off with my detergent.

2022-01-10I personally loved my experience here. The owner was sick but the (manager?) showed up right as we were pulling up to handle the customers who at least had quarters (none available). Luckily I did but they also had machines that took cards. Clean, professional, and kind. Next time my machines are down in my building I’ll definitely come back here and only here!

2019-12-29Washers will make your clothes smell bad. Doesnt matter what I use. Almost every washer has mold on the inside of the spill way.Avoid and go to the one on Michigan ave

2022-05-30Clean and professional. Its also across from the Bronx bar so you can grab a beer or lunch while you wait. Theres also a claw machine to help take care of any extra quarters you might find in your pocket. Staff is super helpful and friendly

2021-07-28Ive been going here for over 2 years now. Always clean and well managed. Just started to use the drop off service. Wish I had started using it sooner. It saves me a bunch of time and is absolutely worth it to me.

2022-01-09Visited 20 min after opening time and no one was there. Some poor cat rolled up on a scooter with his laundry in a snow flurry only to find out it wasn’t open. Sad!

2020-12-14Cool staff. Very friendly and helpful. I once placed the whole bottle of detergent in the front loader washer and started it. The machine locked 🔐 and I called the manger over, he powered it down , allowed me to retrieve the bottle and start again.
