Great service. Good price.I had my friends old leather purse repaired.The strap was in 3 pieces, the zipper was broken & it was dirty.They made it like New! Just Beautiful! Thanks to Bob!Bob was very welcoming & helpful. He also did the repair in 2 days!I will remember to go there whenever I need leather repairs.They also have a nice selection of new wallets, fanny packs & coin purses to buy there as well as shoe polish & laces. Nice little shop!
We use Clawson Shoe Repair for all our orthopedic work. These guys are top-notch and can do just about anything to a shoe--medial/lateral flares, lifts, metatarsal bars--you name it, they can do it and it looks beautiful! Its well worth the drive from St. Clair Shores to Clawson!
They saved my pair of Timberland 3 eyelet boat shoes from the early 80s! The original Vibram soles cracked and completely fell off of the uppers about a decade ago, the leather uppers were in great condition so I couldnt bring myself to throwing them in the bin.I found Clawson Shoe Repair on a Google search and I took the shoes over to them to finally get these shoes repaired. They installed new lugged Vibram soles that you see on most boat type shoes available today.The shoes look great!
Awesome service! I wish every business was like the Clawson Shoe Service! I came in on July 11th at around 9am with three pairs of vintage Skechers (Dr. Martin copies from the 90s) and all of them had sole issues. he said he’d have it done by 1pm. I showed up at around 12:30, and they were already done, and he took the time to even polish every single pair and throw in two free pairs of laces too. all three repairs came out to $60, and well, well worth it. if you have some broken shoes and you’re in the metro Detroit area, go here!!!
Great service and awesome work! Brought in a purse to be fixed and he said it would be something he could do quickly so if I wanted you just wait he would stitch it right up! Top notch customer service!

Wow. What a great find. Helpful, professional, quality work, and some awesome customer service. I had a small tear in a custom-fitted leather coat from Italy repaired, plus they opened for me to pick up since I arrived a couple minutes after closing time. Again, great find.
I cant say enough good things about Clawson Shoe Repair! They always do an exceptional job. I recently moved out of state and made the mistake of trying a cobbler in my new area. Never again! On a trip visiting family back in Michigan, I brought my boots into Clawson Shoe Repair, and they were able to clean up the mess the other cobbler had made - my boots were good as new (actually, better) when I picked them up! I have had several pairs of shoes repaired here. They do a great job fixing heels, soles and always have your shoes looking their best after a repair. They are honest about what work needs to be done. Also, the prices and turnaround time are reasonable.
I had a strap break off on my dance shoe and they were able to fix it the same day at a very reasonable price! They were professional and I was happy with the repair. I would recommend them to anyone!!!
I do not generally post reviews, and I dont believe I have ever posted one before that was a result of a great experience.Clawson shoe repair is an absolute gem. The gentleman who helped me, who is presumably the owner, went out of his way to resole and polish my shoes, and he did a phenomenal job. He even offered to get them done today since it would not have been convenient for me to come after work during the week.Prices are reasonable, service is beyond reproach. To put it simply, when I move from Troy in August, I would be tempted to come back any time I need work done on my shoes because of the quality craftsmanship and customer service they exhibit at Clawson shoe repair.Keep up the great work!

I received efficient, friendly and inexpensive service. My 4 pair of boots were and ready within the week by the date and time I was given. There were 3 others there being serviced. We were all in and out within about 10 minutes.
Got a pair of cowboy boots cleaned up with fresh Vibram layer on the sole. Job was very reasonably priced and boots were ready on the date I was promised. Excellent work, definitely will come back here for anything shoe related.
Bob at Clawson Shoe Repair is the best! I had a leather messenger bag that needed repair, I took it to Franks in Birmingham, and to Arizona Saddlery... they were unwilling to attempt or complete the repairs. Before I sent the bag to Italy for repair - I took it Clawson Shoe Repair on a Friday to see if they could fix it... Bob completed the next day - exceeding my expectations! New favorite place and highly recommended! Thank you!
They sealed up the sole of my riding boots super quickly and only charged me like $5. I was only there for like 5 minutes. 10/10 would recommend!

They did a great job revamping two of my favorite pairs of shoes! Both looked great and were done within two days! I will definitely go back again to have my shoes repaired.
They do great leather repair work, re-sole shoes, and even put new leather on my custom orthotics.
Cant say enough how this is a hidden Gem in clawson...dont know how cause it has an enormous boot on its roof, but i missed it for years.. super nice staff/Owner he helped me repair my boots free. They repair purses, re-sole shoes and so much more check them out!

Went to Clawson Shoe Repair earlier this year to have some Red Wing oxfords resoled. Half a year later, and the glue is already splitting off the sole I will need to bring them somewhere else to have this redone for the spring. Pretty disappointed in the quality.

2022-06-03Love this place! Old fashioned cobblers are hard to find, so look no farther. The owners are old-schooled and provide the best in shoe repair that you will find anywhere. It’s a family owned business that’s been around for over 50 years, and I’ve noted the son as the newest addition to keep the quality and community support of a local cobbler going in the future.

2021-08-14I got a leather bag repaired here and they did an excellent job. They resowed the strap that was cracking and fixed the loose magnet popper . I wasnt able to pick the bag up myself but wanted to say thank you for your work! Youve extended the life of a very treasured item.

2021-03-31Just outstanding work. I brought in a pair of Red Wing boots for a resole and within 5 minutes, I had a new sole picked out, a timetable, and a fair price. I brought the boots in on Friday and was told theyd be ready on Thursday at the latest. I got a call the next day that they were finished since they had the time! When I picked them up, the soles not only looked like they came from the factory, but the boot had been cleaned and polished and looked brand new. I will be back.
