I was driving through the area, when my windshield wiper linkage broke. The dealership initially explained that none of the bays were open. However, when I explained that I was on my way to my daughters college recital, they found some space an were able to complete the repair in less than one hour. Furthermore, they notified me that GM had extended the warranty on this item, so I didnt have to pay anything. I really appreciate the can do attitude from the team, so I was able to see my daughters recital.
Great team here. I purchased a Buick from here and Dale walked us through the whole process. It was quick and easy. I think we were in and out under 2 hours driving the new car home. I feel like he really treated us like family. Definitely will be back when we are ready for another upgrade.
I honestly was completely disappointed with our experience at College Chevrolet. I will never go back!! I went there with my husband hoping to take my dream car home... we get there and have the vehicle hooked up to the scanner and it reads that the engine is misfiring. My husband told the salesman what was happening and asked if there had been any work done to this vehicle. The salesman really didn’t have an answer. The salesman then stated he could look. My husband and I went inside and that’s when things took a turn for the worst. As my husband and the salesman were talking, another salesman interrupted and told my husband that the engine misfire code could be a glitch! My husband is a mechanic. He politely told the salesman that those codes aren’t a glitch something is wrong. The salesman then got extremely loud stating they were a reputable dealer and the misfire is a glitch.. at that point I just wanted to go home.. I didn’t go to the dealership wanting to get screamed at by a salesman.. I wanted to go home with a new car.. I just feel extremely bad for the person who goes to buy that vehicle.
After a disheartening experience with another dealership we found College Chevrolet Buick. It was a bit of a drive but their sales team had amazingly quick responses and never left us wondering if we made the right choice. Amazing customer service, honest and family friendly all around. We traded in our current vehicle and drove away with a new vehicle very satisfied. We will definitely do business with them again when our vehicle needs change! Kudos to all of you at College in Albion!
The GODFREYS are the REAL deal! The service was top notch. They brought the truck to my home to see if it fit in my garage, I said if it fits in my garage, I buy it. They knew my busy schedule. Made the transaction, the easiest yet. Then they offered a FREE oil change. AGAIN they came right to my house, and took the truck in for an oil change. No complaints. nothing, they showed up and took the truck in for the oil change.... These guys are the real DEAL!
Great experience buying a used truck at College Chevy. I worked with Ron and he was very helpful and not high pressure at all . I noticed other salesman had same attitude also , no bait and switch either, the truck I saw in ad was the same truck I ended up buying. The truck was gone over by their service Dept and washed and detailed. This was definitely a step up from what I was seeing at other dealerships for my price range of truck. Most didn’t bother to clean truck let alone have service Dept give it the once over.Bottom line is I got a great quality truck for a very fair price and I will be going back again.
Very professional dealership but also very laid back in the sense of not being pushy. Everyone that we’ve dealt with was nice and made it super easy on us. I have leased several vehicles and now have my daughter leasing her vehicles hear. I highly recommend College Chevrolet. Dale Bannister is your guy. If he can’t help you he will definitely make sure you are taken care of. Top notch from sales, service and reception!!
We were very pleased with the service we received from Chuck,Ben and Dale! Highly recommend using College Chevrolet to get a vehicle and any service work! We have nothing but good things to say! We told them exactly what we were looking for and they found just that! We just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for helping us find our family vehicle! Look forward to using you in the future!
Stopped in one day to look at a Tahoe. Brett Veldhoff came out and pointed out some features that the vehicle had to offer. Unlike a traditional salesman he wasnt out to push a car. Brett was out to make sure I was happy as a customer. Offered several options and cars that I may like and helped with the features and options that they had or that they could get. Ultimately I came back and took it for a second test ride and purchased it. Brett was a great salesman for the simple fact that he was out for the customer. A person that truly understands the customer matters. I would highly recommend this dealership for their hometown feel great negotiation. They were transparent and honest about everything and I have recommend a friend to them as they are great to work with.
Worst Customer service experience ever. Management and the son of the owner was the most rude of them all. I was told to “Get the Hell out” by the son of the owner after I had made a complaint in person about Mis-information I was given by the service department. This is how they treat customers that have just purchased vehicles there and they are not willing to make accommodations. This incident and the mis-treatment I received will be reported to any and every agency possibly to prevent future poor treatment of paying customers.
I was super happy with my experience at College Chevrolet. I was able to purchase a low mileage 2017 Equinox at what I felt like was a great price! It was a low pressure environment, all the details were handled well and I definitely will be back when Im in the market again. Huge thanks to Wallace Godfrey for all his help!
Very great experience and professional environment. Dave Benham is awesome! A few weeks ago, I bought my first car as a college student and Dave made the process of purchasing my car so smooth and stress free. The rest of the staff are laid back and work as a true efficient team. I highly recommend College Chevrolet.
My experience was much more down to earth than the other dealerships that I had dealt with prior. I traveled 2hrs just to work with this amazing group of wonderful people. I had told them my price and they made it happen. I had great conversations with Mike and Ben which made my experience much more enjoyable. They always made sure I was feeling happy about the deal every step of the way. I wish there were more dealerships like this one closer to where I live, but till then I have no problem making the distance for customer service and just an all around positive experience.
I purchased a used 2014 Kia Soul from Ron Croft and the team at College Chevrolet. I can honestly say this is by far the best dealership experience I have ever had! Ron was great and Chuck the sales manager was great also.No pressure, very relaxed, and pleasant to deal with. Even the delivery pick up process went very smooth. I would definitely buy from them again and will recommend them to friends and family. I drove all the way from Grand Rapids to buy this vehicle from them and would do it all over again. Thanks College Chevy!
Appointment as scheduled online. Well worth the 20-minute drive from Jackson. Fast check-in. Excellent and thorough service and detailed report at the end of LOF and they even washed my dirt road dirty car. Reasonable prices, about half price compared to the quick lube places around me. Im very happy and plan on continuing to use College Chevy as long as Im in this area.
Your service department never sent a pick up for me when I called to come get my car. The service department never advocated that the warranty company needs to pay for the repairs of my car due to it being a manufacturer defect. The service department never got back with me on what the warranty company had to say about fixing my car.
This is a company that I will highly recommend. They went above and beyond to treat me like family. They were very thorough and understanding with the fact that I had no credit. Its not that I had bad credit, my situation is that I just simply had zero credit. They answered all of my questions and there wasnt any hidden surprises.
Very helpful staff with all my vehicle needs. They took me in for to check on my vehicle going out of state, without an appointment. I have been with College Chevrolet for many years. They take wonderful care of the vehicles my late husband and I have purchased over the years. Now that I am on my own, they have never let me down.I trust them completely with my vehicles care, performance safely and dependency.Thank you College Chevrolet.May you always have the integrity I have always seen in you and your staff for many more years to come.
I purchased a 2018 Traverse over the weekend, great experience, Al was very personable and wasnt pushy at all. I was also blown away by the teamwork of the sales team there, they were genuinely helpful to each other and worked together to make sure my needs were met to a level I have not seen in commission based sales.
Great place to buy a car! Open feel without too much hype. I was instantly greeted and they made me feel at ease. This was the first time I bought a car by myself. The whole staff seemed interested in helping me get to what I needed and wanted. The price was also at least $2000 less than what I had seen in other places. Dale Bannister was very attentive, but not pushy. I was able to communicate at my own pace, but he was always swift with a reply to my emails and questions. Very knowledgeable and helpful when I needed it. Thanks for helping this Florida-native get a car to handle these Michigan winters! :)
Having dealt with College Chevrolet for the last 6 years, I have yet to have a bad thing to say about these guys/girls. Everyone there treats you like family and tells you the truth. I recommend College Chevrolet to everyone I know. I am way happy with the latest vehicle I bought and will be back to see the sales team for years to come.
A few months ago ( about 500 miles since ) I saw they had a oil change as well as a coolant special on their website which I needed both to be done which I made an appointment. I specifically asked him to check the coolant system as I knew there may been an issue with it and college said we will do that with the oil change. Now there is an issue with the coolant system somewhere and I will not be letting college be doing that work. Will not return.
Just traded in my truck for a newer/used truck and I cannot speak more highly of everyone at College Chevrolet, especially Lance. They were more than fair with my trade in, filled up my new truck with a full tank of gas and oil change (previous Chevy dealership did not do that), and even switched my brand new tires from my old truck to my new one saving me $1,000+ on top of the other savings they included. They cleaned it inside and out to perfection before I left with it. The whole process was professional and I couldnt be happier. There are two other Chevy dealerships Ive dealt with, one in Lansing and one in Jackson and left each time never going back them. College Chevrolet is the complete opposite and is how a dealership should be ran, both their sales and service departments!
I took my 2009 Malibu in to College Chevrolets service department for a grinding noise in the front end. From the moment I came in, I was treated very friendly and felt very welcome. The entire staff was great. the work that needed to be done was explained to me and i was provided with a written estimate before any work was done. I was told how much the brake repair was going to cost and when I was finished my bill was lower than they originally said. The work was done quickly and done right. When I got home I decided to call around and check prices and the were less expensive than the 3 other shops I called!! GREAT SERVICE!! I recommend them to EVERYONE!!!
Took 2 different visits to identify the problem with my car. The quote was outrageous, like not even justifiable. The 2 younger guys in the front need some training badly, and understand what customer service is. Never once did he say the charge for the diagnosis either so I pay $100 for nothing. If you need an oil change theyll handle that fine. Anything else no way!
I had the opportunity to lease a new Equinox. I was helped from every department. Kevin in Service took care of all previous things required on old vehicle, Chuck helped me find a new vehicle, Dale went through paperwork, features and details and Ben helped finalize it. Complete team effort!
A breath of fresh air when i switched to College Chevrolet - The environment is different than other dealerships by way of being more comfortable, and inviting than other dealerships I have been to. I always look at the employees, it tells me a lot about how the internal business is conducted which translates into employees doing quality work. I have done business with both sales and service at College. When i was in for service they were extremely busy, but they took time to explain and make sure i understood. To me that is huge. I was impressed with College Chevrolet enough that I looked into buying a new truck from them. the honestly in the Sales department, and the transparency of the proposed deal was enough for me to buy. See for yourself, you will be taken care of.
Updated below: So far horrible service. Still waiting for the salesman to respond. More to this review to come by this weekend.Update: My daughter and I went into the dealership last Sat 7/6 and test drove 3 vehicles. The one she settled on, a 2016 Envision, Amyeseth in color, was marked $1,275 above clean retail Nada book value. Priced at $25,900. We were told the owners wife, then told the owner drove it for a while after the lease was up. They wouldnt come down at all on the price because were already in the negative . WHY?? Because the owner drove it for free??? Anyway when my daughter called them back Tues and asked if the would do a preowned certification(I mean the owner drove it back and forth to FL, (FL addresses were stored in the GPS)why wouldnt they!!) she was willing to pay the sticker price. Nada value preowned certification is $25,925. They said yes. She texted the salesman to go ahead and run her credit and let her know what rates are out there. When she called him Wed he stated he hadnt gotten around to it!! It took him 36 hrs to respond!!!!! They blew a potential lifelong customer PLUS I let them know I plan to buy a new ENCLAVE yet this year or possibly next. Some customer service!!Update: Went to Victory Chevrolet Buick in Milan, just south of Ann Arbor. Worked with Joe Elliott. Walked in Fri at 3:30. Drove away at 7:20 in my new 2018 Buick Tour X(absolutely love it) and my daughter followed in her new 2019 Envision. Awesome service!!! Thanks College! Worked out for the best!!
Looking for a vehicle can be scary when you don’t know much about cars but Dale Bannister was beyond helpful. He was very thorough in all his explanation and patient with me while we searched for the perfect vehicle. I did not feel pressured or rushed in making my decision. I was also able to learn about different vehicles through my process as well. I would not only continue working with this dealership but refer others to come here as well! It’s not a place that is in the business to take advantage of people but rather to help people and that is very comforting when looking for a vehicle.
Asked about a truck on may 28th after receiving a email saying they would get back to me they never did. I contact them june 1st and the David Benham just ends the chat on me like i was bothering him. From what i gather they do not want to sell even if you have 4k down on a 7k truck what a joke of a dealership!
I hope you never have a problem because this dealership does not value customer loyalty. A very close friend purchased at least 6-7 vehicles from them - all high end and always brand new. In July he bought a 2018 Chev pkup and they forgot to notify the insurance company. A deer hit his truck and there was no insurance coverage because of this. They wouldnt do a single thing to help cover the cost of repairs - not even provide a discount on the parts. So much for customer service! He had to pay $7000 out of his own pocket. I had to rate with one star to be able to post this but I wouldnt even give them one star for treating a loyal customer this way.
I have bought several cars from other dealerships in the past, and I can honestly say that my experience at College Chevy far surpasses anything I have ever experienced before. This was the first car I have purchased from them but it certainly will not be my last. The entire Team there was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help in any way that they could. Rob & Mark were especially great! They both went above and beyond to help me find the perfect car and to get it for a price that I could afford.I could never thank College Chevy (specifically Rob & Mark) enough for their help in purchasing my most recent vehicle.I would (and have been) HIGHLY recommending them to anyone who is in the market for a new car.THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! Im am beyond grateful, and I look forward to working with you again in the future.
Bought what I believe to be a good car here for my granddaughter ( time will tell ) during the test drive I commented that the A/C was not putting out very cool. My salesman was Mark Wasick, very professional easy guy to do business with. The 2nd day after paying cash for it the A/C stopped working. I had to talk to used car sales manager ( ? ) to see if they would fix it no charge because Service Dept knew there was problem they recharged with dye (that helps find leak doesnt fix it, will leak out again) Not sure it sales manager under stood my point I think he had his speech already planned out as he was talking over me instead of listening . I took car to local shop had A/C repaired at a cost of $138.98 (is that worth losing future repeat business ? ) The people make the difference get them in the right spot
Crooks. Took my 2004 Pontiac bonneville in cause of transmission leaks. After the mechanic expertly (sarcasm) looked everything over, I was told that the transmission was cracked and that was the reason for the leak and that it would cost $6,657.49 to replace it with a new one.I decided to go find another 04 bonneville and swap its transmission into my Bonneville.Cost me $800.00 for an other Bonneville and $50.00 for toll road fees and about $100.00 in gas to travel to Canton Ohio and back. Total so far $950.00.After having someone else remove the transmission from the donor car and then started to remove the transmission from my car they noticed that the line that carries the fluid was cracked and that was the reason for the leak.Part of the cost to have college Chevy do the repairs was a new hose. A $40.00 part. Wonder why they had that part listed if it wasnt bad.Now it has cost me $1400.00 to have all this other unnecessary work done and $950.00 to get another transmission, when all that was needed was a new hose, which college Chevy shows that they were going to replace themselves. Cost so far $2350.00 and an extra car that I dont need. If college Chevy had been truthful from the beginning total cost might have only been a few hundred dollars instead of over $2000.00.I have been going to them for over 40 years but now they have seen the last of me. If I was you, before I would let them do anything to my vehicle I would go get a second opinion and take your business elsewhere.
Drove 2 and a half hours and the vehicle wasn’t what the ad described. The Facebook ad said the truck was 4wd and after talking with the salesmen and him sending me all the information and pictures nothing ever said it was 2wd. Then after showing him the ad he emails me and tells me I’m wrong it never said that after I left. I understand people make mistakes, but they wouldn’t even own up to it. I would never do business with this dealership. I sent the salesman a screenshot showing him again it said 4wd and they never corrected it. I’m convinced they’re trying to lead people to believe it’s 4wd and maybe they won’t notice until after it’s sold. STAY AWAY!!!
College Chevrolet has really been good to me. I have bought two vehicles from them. The salesman that helped me (Rob) has gone above and beyond for me. I just picked my car up yesterday and the service manager (Kevin) did every thing he could for me to get my car fixed. A big thanks to you both.
I took my chevy diesel here because it was running bad. They told me that i needed a new injector pump. After putting 3500 dollars into a new pump it did not help the problem a bit. I went to them to see if they would resolve the issue and they did not give me the time of day. I would never take my vehicle here! They did not diagnose my problem right and I would hate for anyone to have the same problem. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT GIVE CERTIFIED GRADE SERVICE AND THEY DO NOT BACK THE DIAGNOSES THEY DO. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am a life long member of the Albion community and alway support local but this dealership is a rip off. Learn from my mistakes and TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After requesting the VIN # on a new vehicle so that I can look up any issues it may of had during production, I refused to commit to the vehicle. The salesman then told me I was putting him in a hard spot after spending $30,000 to get the vehicle I wanted to the dealership. This along with a vehicle that wasnt operating properly (auto stop & wireless charging) and the salesman trying to convince me that some of the options didnt work all the time and to trust him it was functioning as intended, I will not be returning to College Chevrolet Buick. Just a tip for improvement, try to keep tempers in check around customers and if you dont know the answer to a question lying about it doesnt help.

2021-12-02As everyone else in this world, it’s not easy to trust a car dealership. However, my experience with College Chevy is seriously one of a kind. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience that I had buying a truck from them especially with a situation that was very complicated.College Chevy and all of the staff there definitely put their heads together multiple times throughout the entire process to make sure that they were serving their customer (me) with 100% satisfaction. The first thing they did that blew me away, was offering to replace the cloth interior in the truck I was looking at with leather as they knew that was a dealbreaker for me. They didn’t once try to sell me on the cloth knowing that was a dealbreaker for me.After that, I owned the truck and I was ecstatic to have a beautiful new truck and the next day I got a call that something fell through with my financing (I am self-employed so it was sticky). They put their heads together once again to make everything work out for me and secured financing and even a better deal in the long run. With a different dealership, my situation would have been a complete nightmare. They never once caused me to become stressed or overwhelmed in a situation that was seriously complicated. I consistently had the impression that they were genuine, down-to-earth, family oriented people and they handled my complicated deal with total class and professionalism. When they took my truck to get the leather interior, they even let me borrow a super awesome truck for a few days while my (also super awesome) truck was having the BEAUTIFUL leather installed. (Also mentioning that BEN met me late on a Sunday night, holiday weekend to do the switch to accommodate my schedule.)A SUPER special shout out and THANK YOU to Ben (and Dale) for really taking the lead on the situation. I appreciate it in ways I cannot even describe. You guys are the best. I will definitely be back you have my trust and my business for life. There are not enough dealerships like you guys in this world. AN AWESOME TEAM AT COLLEGE CHEVY!

2022-01-04My husband took his vehicle here today for regular maintenance. He told them he had the special socket for the locked lugnuts in his glove box. Upon picking up his vehicle he was informed they were unable to rotate the tires due to his special locked lugnuts. He told them it was in the glove box and when he looked it was missing. They asked him if anyone else had serviced the vehicle prior to which he informed them Art Moehn had. Then the technician said well maybe they have the socket, basically accusing Art Moehn of the theft. I saw the socket the night before because we checked to make sure, in case it was it was needed. Nice try College Chevy Buick as Art Moehn had its own house set that they used. Lesson learned. Nice that you are losing a customer over a $15 socket. Bravo. Also, the customer service was sub par from thre moment he walked in.

2022-02-17Brought my car in because it was overheating. I was told that I needed a water pump and a belt. They replaced the water pump and the belt and charged me $824.56. The next my car was making a ticking noise underneath the hood. I took it back and they listen to it and immediately told me that I needed a timing chain, without checking their work, but just listening to the same noise that I heard. I got a second opinion from a certified technician who found that the pulley where the belt was replaced was missing three of four bolts and the fourth bolt was not attached securely it was hanging and the belt was about to fall off. That’s where the noise was coming from . It was not my timing but it was negligence on the technician, who failed to secure the bolts.. I would think that there was a checklist to make sure that everything is in place before you return a car to a customer and charge them X amount if dollars. I am very unhappy with the service that I received . I am not giving this review for compensation but I’m giving this review so your service department can do better. Thank you

2022-04-05I dropped in on a very busy Saturday. Dale took the time to show me a vehicle that had just arrived and fit my requirements. He was able to quickly put together an agreement that we were both happy with. By the time I had the paperwork completed, they had fully detailed, and filled up my new car. Thank you Dale, Lance, and Chuck!

2021-11-11These people are very disrespectful they do not like color.owner hit my vehicle in gave me all faulse information for insurance reason. I called in they pretty much laughed in my face . 2022-05-11Very friendly, usually able to make an appointment within a few days, however they are slow as molasses. Takes forever to get an oil change, would rather go to a drive through oil change place just for time and convenience...

2022-01-11I had an excellent new car lease experience at College Chevrolet/Buick! I just picked up my new Equinox and I love it! My salesman, Dave, was extremely helpful, listened to my needs and provided top service! At vehicle pick-up, he walked me through the car features and OnStar benefits!Ben , from finance, made the process very easy and explained all contract terms completely! From the first step into the dealership, you can tell they care about the customer’s total experience! I would highly recommend College Chevrolet/Buick and I will return for my next vehicle purchase!

2021-12-31My vehicle was not serviced on 12/30/21. Not sure why my information is mixed up with someone elses. I really hope my warranty didnt cover a vehicle that doesnt belong to me.
