Made many and many calls, left begging messages to receive a return call and nope. I feel so discriminated against it’s not even funny. These people need to be investigated, held accountable, everyone should be able to apply and be helped. I know for a fact I do qualify for utility assistance, gave these people in person so much personal information and for what? Now who really knows where your personal information is being handed over to. Trust no one.

My tires got sliced and we decided to leave . We left washer and dryer to help anybody coming in . somebody broke in and stoled them causing damage. Comment: If youre a tax payer or a citizen of this country they try to pretend theyre out of resources. If not then they magically have some. They dont want to understand that they dont get to be out of the things tax dollars pay into until tax payers also get their portion. We got there before 10am and they took until nearly 4pm to acknowledge that fact, and even that was because we planned on just staying until we got what we needed since were homeless and had no other roof above our heads. The woman who finally magically found the funds for what I paid for acted like she was the one who gets to be angry about doing her job, which she should absolutely not do as my tax dollars also pay her paycheck. Just be stubborn and dont put up with the lies. If you paid into it your portion is absolutely there.ETA: I have nothing against helping out our neighbors on our planet Earth, but we as a country need to sort out own house first. We cant house and feed and clothe the world when we ourselves are homeless and starving. Its both a financial issue and a physical space issue.

Comment: I was the 1st and only person there at 8am and I was seen within 15-20 min and I was seeking aid for either a hotel voucher ( which they have funding for but no rooms available?) Or housing aid being that Im presently homeless ( which they only help with 1st months rent) and I was seen and dismissed 5 minutes later so total time there no more than 25 minutes and all I got was a few sheets of emergency resources the girl whom attended me was short and didnt want to hear pretty much anything I had to say and said call 211.

Comment: Rental Assistance Program is BS. The workers have you on this wild goose chase for all these documents then once you have them it’s something else. Every single time you supply what is asked, they need something new. I truly believe this specific program is bs. Or maybe the workers are making it hard purposely to help those they want to. I’ve known several people who have come to this agency for rental assistance and never got it, jus gave up because they will continue to request documents after documents after they’ve given you once what initially requested.

Comment: If you are lucky enough to get ahold of them they are a big help with easy prosseses. Unfortunately they are nearly impossible to reach. Ive literally been calling them non stop since 815 this morning (its now 1215) and I havent reach anyone. The call disconnects at 30 minutes so you have to hang up and call back. I appreciate the business but it definitely needs better management and more effort.

Comment: Im disappointed at these people. First time going there to get rental assistance. They assign me with Lesli a worker who was never at work and I walked in three times a week since I emailed this person so many times and never returned my emails. I informed my landlord that I already submit my application to them, and since my landlord didnt want to wait and proceed to file an eviction notice and then call them saying she already filed and the month is not over. So Lesli decides to disqualify my appreciation even though she saw my application was already submitted way before and also people who worked there saw that and kept on saying to email Lesli. Its already annoying how they considered them helping people and not look at the time my application was submitted and it was her not being in the dam office to help people who were assigned to her even the people who work there didnt do anything or assigned me to someone else or tell my racist landlord that they were going to help me when I have everything they need. Its upsetting and I asked you to speak to someone else, and thats what they say, sorry your application got denied because my landlord decided to file and she had never shown me any papers just word of mouth so she can add more money for me to pay. First time I need help...and these people are not even helping at all. Sad but the truth.

Comment: Omg they went above & beyond the reasons I was there. I really appreciate the Family Development Department for assisting me with my needs. I have 1 more issue to fix to get me on my feet, and once I apply for that, CAPS of S B county will be my guardian angels at that point. Nothing beats a failure but a try. Dont be afraid to help that you need when you need it. I love them & I am glad they are in a place or position to really help & give back to the community so that the cycle continues. God bless this company organization not sure what stature they are, but they have truly & honestly helped me beyond what I was expecting which was nothing. There is a resource center where I live, & I applied for them to help me as well, for a different assistance & I have not heard from them yet, & its been 4 months. So believe me when I say to the staff of Family Development from the young cute black lady to checked me in was so very helpful, I was sitting there for maybe 15 minutes, she walked by and saw me, she said no one came out yet, I said no but its ok because I was like 40 minutes early, she left and not even a minute later someone was helping me. Mr. Paolo Bilbao, truly you are remarkable. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Comment: Ive been homeless for about 4 months now living in my car with my three cats my dog and my daughter little Mitsubishi went in there to get some help when they said that they would help me but guess what after I went and found a place and ask for their help they didnt respond back to me so they were there werent many resources out there to help people like myself and my daughter or my animals. Theres no resources out there like that so dont let him fool you you have to have a minor child or you dont have a chance . forget it just plan on living in your car for a few months.. for the record Im finally out of my car but not from any of these awesome resources that are there for us lol but by my own resources THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART MOM and LENORA

Comment: They came out to do some work on my 86 year-old grandmothers house through the weather program Replace the Stove And caused a lot of Damages And the workers were extremely rude And disrespectful When I try to address the issues like busting The upstairs Plumbing and putting screws in the hard wood floors I was giving the project managers number his name is Dennis He refuses to return any of my phone calls or my husbands phone calls now Im forced to get legal assistance And its going to cost me thousands of dollars in repairs For a program for low income people and seniors that dont have the money If youre looking to save money please please go samewhere else.

Comment: This place is great. Everyone we dealt with was so nice. I dont understand the negative reviews. Does it take some time? Yes, its a process, with the different agencies needing to come out. Is there paperwork involved? Yes, but nothing difficult. In the end, we were fortunate enough to receive a new air conditioning system, and were very grateful.

Comment: Since I have been added to Transportation Ministry and on the insurance, at my church ( The Way World Outreach), I now have the assignment of taking our boxtruck every 4th Mon to pick up commodities that we distribute every 4th Tues of the month to hungry people. Its awesome! We also get food that goes to our Downtown Mission and The Kitchen Ministry makes lunches to feed hungry people on Mon, Tues and Wed, also breakfast before 9am Service on Sundays!! Its such a blessing to have Community Action Partnership, plus the company is in our Faith Based Network. Great job theyre doing over there!

Comment: Its hard enough bring ourselves to ask for help, we always take care of our responsibilities on our own. Social security put us in a hardship when making a mistake in our case and pay! We call around desperate for help for the first time EVER & we are sent to this company. The treatment we have had so far has been so hateful. Victoria Solis 1st female we spoke to was so rude & condescending, ask us the same questions over & over as if we were lying. When asking for her name she hung up on us. We call back to ask for her name to report her, we are answered by a girl named Maggie who refused to give us her last name and was also very rude to us for absolutely no reason. We were switched to the supervisor Michelle McClain and there was no answer. This is disgusting behavior from people who are supposed to help while youre hurting not cause more stress!

They pay my whole light bill which they did not have to and for that Im so very thankful for their help! Not only do they help pay your utility bills but they also do weatherization on your home and they also help page towards your rent or your mortgage. So whenever youre in need of help theyre there for you! I highly recommend them they are so fast and efficient not like the old days. They are also very caring and and understanding towards your needs!
