Comment: Seemed as the doctor and the medical assistants were not communicating well.They could not find which room I was in.I was given a bag, at the end of my visit, to take home. None of the medical supplies were relevant for my injury.The physical therapy session was very good. The therapist could locate my injury by just touching it, where the doctor could not find it.

Comment: Best concentra Ive been to! I injured my eyebrow at work and had to get 4 stitches. The pain was minimal and I was in and out in no time! I went to another location and my experience there wasnt great so I had to come back to San leandro Merced st location. Shoutout to clinician Pooyan Sadeghi for the sincere care!

Comment: Wait was long as when I arrived there was only one person ahead of me and yet wasnt seen until after two other men were seen. The tech didnt change gloves as I expected to after my DS and was touching too many drawers and keyboard; Too short staffed apparently which impacts clients so would try another place in the future.

Comment: The appointment itself was awesome. Everyone was so kind and very speedy. However…. I came in for a 9:30am appointment and did not get seen until 11:00am. This was extremely frustrating and I was not given any warning when I signed in that they were this far behind. I was also continually told that I was up next but not being seen next. I understand that they were extremely busy for some reason that morning but getting honest communication about the delays would have helped.

Comment: Had an appointment set for 10:30am that was scheduled 2 weeks prior. I got there at 10am. Was seen at 12pm. Got everything finished at 2:40pm. Once in the back getting vitals completed, I walked out of the waiting room multiple times to ask if they forgot me. I think its quite ridiculous to have an appointment scheduled, then have send the person to the back 1.5 hours later, and then spend almost 3 hours to get their vitals completed. It was very disappointing. What is the purpose of scheduling (weeks in advance) if you are just going to treat them like a walk in. If you go there because you have to...I would suggest you get there before the door opens...even if you have a scheduled appointment.

Comment: Walked in on a Tuesday at 8:10 am for a pre-employment physical exam (they open at 8:00). They told me they were all filled up and had no availability for the rest of the day that day, I’d have to come back another day right at 8:00 am. A nurse that was great (personable, good technique, looked into my request for preservative-free flu shot, listened, etc.) who had a full sleeve of tattoos on her left arm (forgot her name) placed a TB and gave me a flu shot after I waited 45 min. (reasonable).Came back on Thursday for physical and TB read. Got there right at 8:00, was first person on walk-in sign-in sheet. Was there for over FOUR hours. Many others came in after me, who were seen and left before I was even put in a room. The TV came on in the waiting room, loud, with news showing gore and violence in Gaza. I requested it be muted or turned off, because it sounded awful and a young kid was the only one looking at it, but the person at the front desk refused.Hours later, I was shown to a room and was given a blank medical history form to fill out. I told the nurse I had filled it out online already. When I finally saw the doctor (Dr. Ha, who is also really good, and thorough, but she said she’s leaving soon to work somewhere else), she was unable to input data because apparently they had just switched to a complicated program that wasn’t populating anything correctly. I had to fill out a second medical history form on paper, and was only given a short version of paperwork to give my work clearing me to start, which I had to request as I was leaving.Annoying, but this experience is pretty standard when seeking care, these days. I’m grateful for the two good staff members I interacted with, and that I didn’t happen to have too much else to do that day.

I spent 30 mins. going through my phone and even called the provider.Finally get the bar code and take it to another staff member. She asked did you feel out another form which i was not given, then said you Dont Need the Bar Code, Only the Order number WHICH I HAD ON SEVERAL PLACES WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED. Which meant I went in circles and placed at the back of the line

Comment: For all Pre-Employment / drug screens, be prepared for a 4 hour wait.. there is no staff, and half of the employees dont know what they are doing. And make sure they take your specimens before 2pm or else you go back the next day. 0 stars.. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else..Edit to Review after 3 weeks:After 3 weeks of waiting, this facility ended up throwing my samples having no analysis done at all. Pure waste of time. HR requested to push back my start date and needed me to retake everything.Total time wasted I this place: 14 hours (2 days).Net results: Samples were cancelled.Lesson learned: Never book with Concentra.

Comment: Hey this MartinI just visit the concentra clinic on San Leandro va, on Merce st,First of all looks like we need to be there for ever, In the real time I was there just for a simple clinical examination,I spent and hour just to gave the paper to clinic policyThen after you filled up have to wait for a least couple hours or more just to come in and check your temperature,eyes exam, weight an high then wait for the doctor like 30 or more minutes, then go to the X-RaysThat day the guy who take X-Rays was sick then the clinic send it to me at other clinicAt San Leandro street close to big hospital, I don’t remember the name but take me couple hours since I register with the from lady, And I was the first guy who gave it the paper workWell I was in the first clinic at 7:30 am patient # 2 when they open, Then at 11:55 am I went to the 2nd clinic, and finally I done with my físico examination around 2:30 pm, In my poor opinion, I think this class of clinic need to be swapped out of businessTook the all day,Plus the day I bend to work at 3:00pm in San Francisco,I got 17 guys waiting for me to start workingBecause I have a door key to access at the work areaWell thanks for got my poor opinionGod blessed

Comment: I waited for almost 5 hours for a physical, I was there until like almost 2pm, waiting to be seen by a doctor who examined me for about 10 mins. There should be a more efficient and faster way for this. I was hungry and thirsty and nobody seems to care or do they know I was still there in the exam room?! Someone offered water which I never received. I had to ask for it again. I arrived there at this facility at 9:06am and was seen close to 2pm. I am not happy and I hope you investigate at this place because you are taking care of people’s well-being. The Dr did not practice hand hygiene and was coughing in her mask. I hope she’s okay. But she should not be working sick. Thank you.

Comment: I had a super pleasant experience at this particular, Concentra I typically go to the one that’s on Hegenberger in Oakland, CA and honestly I’ll never go to that Concentra again. Because the Concentra in San Leandro, CA was just so such a pleasant experience for me. Everyone there was extremely professional, very polite and respectful, and I felt like what should have taken me hours made me feel like I was in and out in no time which was a huge plus for me because my kids were set to get out of school at 3 PM.

Comment: The 1st day I arrived and gave my form to the lady at the counter the wait was about 45 mins for a drug test. I asked was that all I had to do which I was informed yes it was. Once I got home and made a phone call I was told I was suppose to receive a full physical exam. I then called concentra and told they didnt read the form I have them correctly and I need a appt for the next day due to their negligence. I was scheduled for 1pm the next I arrived at 12pm. I was finally called in 321 and I did not leave out that office until 523. The staff was very kind and helpful but Im not sure what they need to do get more doctors or something but to sit around half a day from 12pm to 530 is ridiculously too long.

Got redirected to a nearby Concentta where i again had to wait another hour despite the previous office calling over and reassuring me that i would be seen immediately. the initial Concentra i visited also ran the wrong tests which meant i had to return back again and wait again for it to be done properly. This entire ordeal is very annoying but thats not to take away from the great care i experienced from the nursing assistants. it just sucks to budget for spending a few hours at a place and then it eats up your entire day.

Comment: I needed to renew my DOT card for work and was told that appointments weren’t available, it was walk-in only. So I had to take a day off of work, arrived at 8:30am. Was brought back to the room at 10:20am, and then sat there waiting for the doctor until 1:05pm. The doctors checkup only took 8 minutes, so I waited approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes for an 8 minute checkup that I was not allowed to schedule ahead of time. There HAS to be a better, more efficient way to handle these bi-yearly DOT checkups, it should not take 5 hours and a missed day of work in order to renew this.

This was a MAJOR upgrade from the very unprofessional staff in Union City Concentra office (Alvarado Niles), who were completely unable to accommodate a simple drug screening or to mitigate the issue by providing me an appointment time and/or promise of supplies availability after I had driven 20 miles out of my way with a time-sensitive screening order from an employee. The San Leandro staff was more than willing to work with me even when there were questions of who to bill and how to fill out requisite paperwork, resulting in a painless and not-too-lengthy wait and screening time.

Super friendly and professional from start to finish. The wait times that others complain about is to be expected. As a walk-in clinic you are serviced on a first come, first serve basis depending on priority through triage and any pre scheduled follow-up appointments. All Covid precautions are strictly enforced. Comment: I want to thank Concentra for a great experience. I arrived about 15 minutes before they opened and there was not line yet which I was happy. The process went pretty quick for being the first one in. The staff was amazing. It took less than 10 minutes to be seen by a nurse. He was very nice and courteous. The Doctor made so much better. Her name was Uphoff, she was the greatest. From the last Doctor I had last year, she was very friendly and made me felt welcome.

No one answers the phone at all, I literally called for 2 days trying to ask a question that could of avoided me wasting my time. The receptionist was so rude and told me no more physicals after 3pm as if I knew that. When I explained I tried calling she said well we are busy and can’t answer the phone, oh wow great! Finally when I was seen the next day they took 3 hours to do the physical and I still needed a hearing test and drug screening. Comment: I do not recommend this business, unfortunately my employer uses them for pre-employment drug screenings. It’s rather unorganized and I believe most problems stem from there. They won’t make appointments for drug tests so you have to do a drop in. Also during my wait I watched them turn multiple people away that came in for drug tests because they were backed up, so beware before wasting your time coming down. A simple urine test was a 2+ hour wait, and they only call patients every 30-45mins. It’s also dirty, no toilet seat covers and a man who came in with a hand injury bleeding profusely touched the door handles and no one ever got up to clean anything. I’m also still waiting for results which are delaying my promotion but I wouldn’t be shocked if this nightmare business lost them. I will say the employees are polite even if they aren’t cleanly or efficient.

Comment: I went to this location for a drug screen. Already I knew itd be a long wait so I prepared myself to be there for 2-3 hours lol. I had a lot of battery on my phone and I a stream of Netflix episodes of my favorite movies and shows already to go so the wait felt like nothing. The customer service reps in front were standard, no attitude, just did their job and my drug screen administrator was very humorous. Lol. All in all, the wait was a little over 1 hr. Not too bad. I came in around 12:15pm and was out around 1:30pm. Not bad at all. Especially since I had shows and movies, so I wasnt bored. Expect to sign paperwork for a drug screen and make sure you have something to keep you busy for a time and youll be okay. Good service too. I was happy with my experience here. I also got to catch up on my shows. ;)

Comment: I had an appointment at 11:00 AM for a preemployment physical. I arrived at 10:40 AM. When I checked in for the physical and gave my name receptionist immediately told me that it would be 2-3 hours before I would be seen. I informed her I had an appointment at which time she reached behind her for a large printout with my name on it. She informed me there was only one provider on duty. I left the clinic about 1:45 so almost 3 hours for a ½ hour appt. I am an RN and have both performed physicals in occ Med and been a work comp case manager. The assessment by the MA can best be described as less than exacting. Worst part of the experience were the negative comments on the exam report from the MD which were invalid and not based on any exam performed. I have already contacted the asst manager of the clinic, requesting both a corrected report from the physician, obtained his medical license number and obtained the name and and phone number of the Medical Director. I also notified my employer (Human Resources) of the poor quality of the visit experience.

I ended up spending 3 hours at location, but staff was great and friendly; the blame is on the electronic system with fail backup plan from other company. Comment: This location is terrible, and the way they organize specialist schedules boggles the mind. I made an appointment with a specialist months ago for a re-check. They assigned me to a new doctor for that appointment at some point because mine wouldn’t be in. They never called to tell me.I find out right before my appointment, and ask to cancel and reschedule to get my original doctor (because concentra has already shuffled me to 6 different people in some form or other). I ask if my original doc had left the practice and the girl doesn’t know and can’t access the schedule, only one person there can. So they say they’ll call me back.Well at least she called me back, she tells me the new doc doesn’t work there anymore (I looked him up and he was recently convicted for improper distribution of opiate meds and fraud, so maybe he’s in jail). They never called to tell me that I couldn’t have my appointment that day because no doc was available.Then, She says I had an appointment with my original doc two weeks before and my insurance scheduled me to see the new doc (they didn’t). I told her I didn’t have that appointment, I rescheduled it the day they gave me the appointment (months ago) to today because I knew I’d be me on a work trip. The insurance company didn’t do anything to schedule me.Then I find out I can’t see my original doc for 6 more weeks. So I make that appointment not knowing if I’ll be out of town for work or not.They are utterly incompetent and inconsiderate of your time.

The first few minutes went pretty smoothly while filling out paperwork and waited for my turn. Fast forward to the part where the MA takes my vitals and i get done with my drug screen. MA takes me to a room tells me to wait for the doctor for my physical, hell be in shortly. I wait patiently, killing time on my phone, the longer I waited, the quieter it got inside the facility, i check the time on my phone knowing this place closes at 5. I look at my time and it is 5:30, all I hear outside was a group of staff talking about how poor people have rated them on yelp and how they can improve. Explains a lot, my long wait time made me feel I was forgotten, I open the door to take a peak out in the hall to make myself seen by one of the staff to remind them im still waiting. One staff walks by looks at me and smiles, at this time im no longer happy, I have things to do and places to be. I see the same MA that did my service walk past me and said nothing. Then, finally another MA sees me waiting, she apologizes for the wait and tells me the doctor will be in shortly and offers me juice 😒🙄 thank you but as of now I am completely out of patience. After only my mother knows how long, the doctor finally comes in and asks me how long have you been waiting? So i say two hours as if its not a big deal. He turns back, laughs, and says oh, thats not bad, others wait for 3 or more hours. I think to myself, I guess this place is very generous with the waiting time as if thats supposed to be okay. But anyway, the doctor rushes me in a series of physical activities. 5 min I was done. I step outside, it was dark and my car and I were the only ones out front. If it wasnt for my employer that sent me here, I will never go here again!

Other than the 20 to 25 minute delay after I completed my paperwork, I was treated efficiently.I have been going to Concentra for about 20 years. The difficulties I’ve had in the past generally have not seemed to be caused by the staff present when I came, but by the management which did not put enough staff in place to serve the customers in a timely manner. Comment: I visited this location with flu like symptoms for an evaluation and doctors note. My experience was that the place felt disorganized, and that the staff was poorly trained and communicated poorly. I had a total of over 4 hours of wait time, recieved no clear diagnosis and was discharged with a prescription for antibiotics and no note for work.After requesting the note I received a very cookie cutter visit report with no instructions and very limited information to provide to my employer. It simply stated that the doctor spoke to me and gave me verbal directions.Ultimately I had to schedule another appointment with my primary care physician to get the note I needed and spend more time out running around when I should have been resting.Ive had to visit City Health Urgent Care for unrelated issues in the past. The experience was much more pleasant. If I ever have to make an urgent care visit in the future it will not be to Concentra.

The main thing we have an issue with, is how long it takes for our drivers to get their physical completed. We know how busy you guys are, but I went to you guys on New Years Eve, and there really wasnt anybody there, and it still took almost1.50 hours. Comment: Do remember that this was my expericance in my first time there as you take my rating to consideration. I went to the clinic to get a physical for work, drug text and a TB test. When I got there I was glad to see there was only 3 people waiting in the lobby as it would be a fast process. Yet i ended waiting around 20-30 mins in the lobby before i was taken to the back to get my weight, height, and do my drug test. They ended up telling me that i could not get mu TB test done that day because they dont administer test on Thursday. Which meant I had to do another trip to that clinic which was over an hour way from my home. Once that was done which took around 10 min. They had me sit in a chair for around 30 min before they finally had a room to put me in. While i was sitting I looked at the staff and notes that they ignored that i was sitting there and did there duties with no urgency (this is an urgent care). When they finally put me in a room i believe I was going to be taken care of. Yet, I was there for around 30-45 min. Were towards the end i found out that the nurse/assistant messed up my paper work and did not out that I just needed a 5 min physical so the doctor did not show up until he was done with his other clients. The doctor was very helpful. However the staff members dont have good communication and work with no urgency to get clients in n out.

Comment: The staff didnt know the right information concerning my doctors available and filling out forms i came in 3 times to be sent away. Come to find out any doctor there could have filled out these forms. Then i had to wait 5 hours till closing sitting in a room with the whole office closed down and lights off for another doctor to sign my form. Other patients were complaining and no reassurance we would be seen. This is unacceptable the staff should be more organized and in formidable.

Comment: I came in because I got injured at work. The insurance company had faxed concentra my information. Front desk had poor communication skills. The young lady at the front desk did not allow me to be seen by a doctor without talking to my Job’s manager. She gave me poor instructions about the paperwork I needed to fill. I understood that I had to fill out the paper work and once they called my name I was to give that paperwork to the nurse. So I sat in the waiting room for another hour. From desk didn’t check me in until they saw that I had not turned in the paperwork. So I waited 2 hours to be seen by a doctor. The nurse was very polite and professional and so was the doctor. But the doctor wrote a note to my job, that said he was sending me back to work that same day knowing that I was in pain and could not perform my job. I was there for a total of 3 hours.

Comment: It was quick response to get me in to be seen. I was given a room immediately for a trauma response. The doctor was very calm about the issue I had brought in which helped to keep level headed. Even let me know to look away because he wanted to avoid a patient from Fainting. He made quick work of the wound and the office people were very communicative to a good point to satisfy there patients with their concerns or needs. Receptionist wasn’t very professional, they didn’t have the paperwork needed for my appointment and ended up bringing me additional paperwork to fill out half way through the appointment. And then acted oblivious when I handed the extra paperwork over as I left.All of the nursing staff was great, courteous and tried to get things done in a timely manner. I have nohing but the utmost respect for them.Only other negative was waiting for the doctor to come and finish my physical. Whom I passed in the halls, chit chatting with another doctor about dogs. I had a fingerprinting appointment at another location scheduled for 3hours after my phys. The phys took nearly 3 hours even when showing up 30 min early for paperwork.

We had finished all the paperwork for them as well. That means we only need to give them the form on that day, saving time for form filling. However, we still had to wait 40 mins to get inside have height and weight, blood pressure.... then, waiting over 1 hr to see the doctor. The optometrist appt at 11am, but we couldn’t be out there till 12pm. It’s unacceptable. So it tooks us 3 hrs appr instead of 1 hr as they said.

Comment: I waited over 2 hours, I not once complained or was rude to the staff. I was there for an onboarding process for an employer (blood work, urine, and shots). Whomever checked me in showed her distaste when I at the 1 1/2 hour mark simply asked if she could tell me how much longer it may be as I had to use the restroom (part of the test) she came back and said I had 1 more person waiting for a physical then it was my turn. I tried to explain I was not there for a physical in which I was basically dismissed. The employer reached out to me while I was waiting to make sure I had completed everything, I informed them I was still waiting and they were not happy. They asked to speak to a supervisor and when I let the same receptionist know she told me to tell him to call the main number (after she had already informed me that they hadn’t been answering as they were busy). In the end, she had put my paperwork in the incorrect folder, not once apologized for HER mistake. The supervisor apologized profusely to me, still not making it any less of a wait or making up for her incredibly rude staff. Everyone has an attitude and as I explained to them, I not once disrespected them, was rude, spoke out of character to them. I also explained they should be grateful to have a job as I wanted to work and couldn’t wait to have my onboarding process complete to work! I understand they deal with all walks of life, it may be overwhelming, but the staff should in no way be as cold and rude as they are. I also ended up having an allergic reaction to my shot, I didn’t know what it was and simply asked for someone to look at it? The NP basically told me that her staff has apologized to me several times....what more do I want from them!!?? Not quite sure why she felt the need to be so aggressive as I didn’t place blame. I simply asked what was wrong with my arm?Overall, the experience was incredibly poor. It’s sad that even when you try your hardest to maintain your level of respect during a difficult situation it is not reciprocated.

Comment: Zero stars. I had an appt at 1030 am, arrived at 930am, and I wasn’t seen until after noon. This was not scheduled by me, but by my future/current employers for a pre-employment physical. I completed all tests asked of me, and then several hours later was phoned to be told that the technician- Elycia, hadn’t completed all tests necessary for my physical and so I would need to return for my depth perception vision test. I scheduled another appt, arrived on time, and this time, the front desk person- Maria, was extremely helpful, and I was seen almost right away. She did however have to go searching for my paperwork, since it hadn’t been filed in the correct spot, which did delay things a little bit. But Maria was wonderful. I was told my paperwork would be sent to my supervisor ASAP. THEN, the next day I get a phone call asking if I had actually finished the physical lift test (main reason for my whole visit to begin with). I explain, that yes I had, and asked why I was getting a phone call to “confirm”, didn’t they have my paperwork? She said she was just calling to confirm, but didn’t actually answer my question. Several days later I receive a phone call from my supervisor saying I needed to return to Concentra in San Leandro to complete my lift test, since they didn’t have my paperwork stating I had completed it. This location is a joke. They are neither efficient nor competent at the front desk (aside from Maria), and cannot even accomplish the simple task of sending completed paperwork where it needs to go. I now have to return for a THIRD TIME to complete something I have already done. I am not pleased, nor will I EVER return to this location unless absolutely mandated by my job. And even then, I will request a different location. The one in South SF does a far superior job.

She made her take the test more than 3 times and she would pour out her test saying that it wasn’t right yet when a male would take the test nothing was wrong. Comment: I sprained my right foot, the ankle part, the Physical Therapist, Palmari, is treating me so nicely, she is very friendly, smile on her face makes me forget my pain for moment, she gives me exercises which are comfortable and helpful for my sprained ankle. My five star to her. But on the other hand, the nurse (FNP) who treated me on the first day was little unfriendly, grumpy, she told me to get medical degree before talking to her while I was trying to explain to her my experience with the medication which I take. She gave the report that I am fit to return to work, while she clearly saw that I have difficulty walking which indicates she works in the best interest of the company rather than the patient. If you dont have appointment than you might have to wait for 3 to 4 hours before you can be seen. Well nobody goes to doctor without appointment but sometimes emergency occurs and this place happens to be your occupational urgent care than you have no choice.

I went in after being diagnosed with tendinitis elsewhere, the doctor here took some x rays of my elbows and said there is nothing wrong with me cause the x ray doesnt show anything. I asked if x rays would show tendinitis, which the doctor said yes it would definitely show up. I then googled the same question and found that an x ray will not show it, only an mri could show an injury in the tendons. So the doctor is either retarded or a liar, either way she is not trying to help the patient. She talked to me as if I was a disobedient child and refused to offer any kind of solution to my injury or what I need to do to make sure I dont injure myself further. These people do not care about taking care of the patients. They specialize in lying to you so they can eliminate employer liability in your injuries.

Comment: After sustaining a work injury, I was referred here. The first visit they gave me the wrong medication and handed me a room temperature ice pack for relif of a chemical burn to my eye. Told me to freeze it and use it later. Also, I had to go to a pharmacy and pick up the right medication and pay out of pocket. That visit took a little under two hours. The second visit was with a different doctor 3 days later. She gave me a whole list of restrictions and told me to stop using the medication I paid for and to come back two days later. Didnt even check my eye. That appt. took almost 3 hours, most of which spent in front waiting. Today, Ive been here 2 hours and Im still waiting. They wont give you convenient appt times. The appt times are irrelovent anyways. Show up early and you wait even longer. Im literally waiting here so they can look at my eye and send me on my way and revoke the restrictions set by dr number 2. They dont pronounce full last names or even correctly. Its Held-Beardsley, not hill. should have used my own medical and starved for the next two weeks, it would have been better care.
