Drove up to ann arbor for a daytrip and found this majestic Irish pub, wowWhat can I say about food, brought back great memories of back home in ScotlandStarted with chips with curry sauce and cheese curdsThen had the Shepards pie and then the Fisn n chipsThe food was incredible and the best Ive tasted in AmericaGive it a try you will not be disappointed#Scotsman
Wonderful Irish Pub atmosphere. We only had drinks and appetizers, but everything was top notch and delicious. We had a fabulous spinch, artichoke dip that everyone was fighting over. We also had the deep fried Brie with a peach - cherry chutney. Fantastic! Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Very fun place!
The atmosphere here is one that is either a huge turn on, or a huge turn off. They had live music and it was obviously very loud. Not somewhere to go if you want to catch up with friends. As for the food, we had shepherds pie, fish and chips, and the corned beef. All were good. The fish was a little overcooked on the batter but it was good nonetheless. The portions of the entrees were adequate but the side of buttered potatoes was a joke! See the picture attached, they were cold and literally could count how few they gave me. Didnt bother complaining but that was pretty disappointing.Overall the food was good, the pricing was fair and the service was decent. Good place to go once in a while.
This place is very nice on the inside. Staff was not exactly attentive. Food was very delicious and fresh. Unfortunately we drove 1 hr here to try what we seen on the online menu but when we got there, their menu was very different from online. Online is NOT updated. Ive attached the current menu. With all the being said, I really enjoyed the food and will come back!
Grandma usually makes corn beef and cabbage every year but this year hit her kinda hard and she opted out. I get it, but I was bummed about missing it this year. Til I thought maybe some restaurant in my town might have it and sure enough I found it here! Hit the spot! So good!
We stopped into Conor ONeills for the umpteenth time on Saturday, December 14 after a concert at The Ark. We really like the layout of the pub and can honestly say that weve not had bad service any of the numerous times weve dined there. As with any good meal one must begin with a good drink. For me, its a nice glass of Hoegaarden witbier. For my wife and her friends its a glass of sangria, and for my friends it usually ends up being a properly pulled pint of Guinness. As far as the food is concerned, us and our friends have tried most everything on the menu and have always been satisfied. My favorites are Kates Shepherds Pie and the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie. However, during this visit I tried the Traditional Fish & Chips for the first time.I usually dont eat breaded & deep fried fish because it either is drowning in grease and/or it has too much batter. Nonetheless, I gave it a go. I was pleasantly surprised that the fish wasnt as greasy as I had expected nor was the Bass Ale batter overwhelming. The spicy malt vinegar sauce that was served with the fish had a nice flavor but didnt overpower the fish.We were all feeling really good so we splurged and had dessert. My wife and I shared the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. It was so good that I threatened to pick the plate up and lick it! Overall, it was another fine experience at Conor ONeills and we would certainly recommend this pub to anyone that asks.
Nice Irish themed bar. Had their Big House Burger which they are known for. The burger was taller than the picture due to the large deep fried onion rings on it. Little on the rare side. Lots of TVs to watch sports. Waiter was pretty attentive, nice experience overall.
Went there recently with My Christmas bonusStaff was rude... I was born here and my ancestry traced from Ireland.Fake Irish pub...They told us we couldnt play darts anymore halfway thru our gameThe owner came out and re-arrange our table after a half hr said someone more important on they way...Discrasfull...Never will I EVER recommend any one I know to check out this joke of a scam of a place...
Great pub in Ann Arbor. Traditional selection of drinks and food - all of which is phenomenal. I typically get their Shepards Pie and its amazing, with enough to take home for leftovers! They also have a very nice outdoor seating are during the summer when Ann Arbor closes the streets Friday - Sunday.
Whilst having an honest conversation with a female friend of mine, the bartenders made it a point to call me out as if I was an antagonist in the situation. He Stated I haven’t been buying drinks at the bar in which I was the entirety of my being there. Don’t feel bad for being you.. just do better
So, I havent visited yet but can attest that customer service is TOP NOTCH. I cannot wait to visit! I placed an online order on St Patricks day for carryout at 5pm. The system said pickup time at 730pm (ok, the place is prob busy because it is st. Patricks day...). My 4yo and husband said they could wait to eat. An hour later, I received an email that my order had been canceled. Oh no!! I tried to call, sent an email, and could not get through to anyone!! I was pretty frustrated. The next morning, the owners son called me and left his cell number to call back. When I called back, he wholeheartedly apologized, explained the issue with the order system (no excuses, just explanation) and offered to mail me a gift certificate. I was floored--like, what kind of service is that?! I declined the gift card but thanked him for the call. He said to ask for him or the owner when we visit and he would buy us some beers and get my son some ice cream. Like, I WANT to eat at a local place that values their patrons so much. If youre trying to find a local place--CHECK THEM OUT!! I am confident you wont be disappointed.
Nice Irish Pub! Clean and cozy.. We had fish and chips, it was great! Potato leek soup was the best. Only one issue..We sat at the bar to have a beer, ordered a beer off the menu, its not available, ordered another, nope not available, finally got one on the menu but only because our bartender suggested one. Drink menu needs to be up to date! Our bartender Ashley was amazing, she knows the food and drinks, props to her! Nice Irish pub, check it out!
We had dinner here on a Friday night when the streets are closed down to allow for additional outdoor seating. The staff was nice and the food was pretty good. I enjoyed my chicken Caesar wrap, my mom had potato pancakes with a salad which she loved. My sister went with corn beef and cabbage which was delicious. The other two in our party got the Reubens and they were only so so.
I had not eaten at Conor ONeills until today and I got to tell you their fishermans pie was absolutely amazing! The service was very hospitable. They had my order done faster than I expected hot and ready! if youve never been to an Irish pub before you will love this place it is a once in a lifetime experience!
Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service here. My wife and I both ordered the Big House Burger - would definitely recommend. Our waitress, Riley, was knowledgeable about the food/drink and provided great service. Per COVID, also had socially distant practices, contact tracing, etc.. Was also pet friendly. Would recommend coming here for food and drink.
This is a pretty good Irish pub on Main Street in Ann Arbor. I’ve always had a pretty good experience while there, but I wish their drinks were just a little bit more reasonably priced. It’s a great place to go and hang out with friends try some new beers and just chat. I think you’ll enjoy it if you’re in Main Street in Ann Arbor and you want to go to an Irish pub.
Good food. We went on new years day in the evening. The place was quiet. Not many customers there. We ordered one appetizer and fish&chips (french fries). But it took about half hour to be served. The waiter was attentive : came by to inform us of the delayed and chat with us.We still like this place and will be back again.
Spectacular! Great food and great atmosphere. The service was wonderful too. My friend and I were visiting because my infant is at Motts and my husband sent us out for an emotional/mental break. The staff saw my hospital visitor badge and sent me back with cheesecake and a gift card. They are truly wonderful people!
Ive been here 20 times or so over the last 15 years and I think business was better in the past than now. I know Covid makes it difficult in business but the menu was missing key items that I brought my partner to experience. What happened??! Presentation felt less authentic.
My first time at this brewery and gotta admit that I really enjoyed the beer and food. They dont have a huge beer selection but what they have is pretty good. The food is locally sourced which to me means its fresh. Their medianoche sandwich was really good. You will not be disappointed with the pulled pork. Stop by if you are in the Ann Arbor area. The staff is very friendly and will take time to discuss the different flavors of the beers they offer. I love great service.
I almost never write reviews, but after completely taking over the patio of Conor ONeills with a party of 15 the staff was incredible. Never missed a beat, the staff was super accommodating. Shelby was absolutely the best server remembering every single order and after playing musical chairs got everything perfect. Shes probably one of the best servers Ive ever had in my life. So fast and attentive to anything we needed as well. The food was delicious to boot! Nothing like classic Michigan craft beer!
Ive always enjoyed Conor ONeills since I moved to Ann Arbor in 2007. My most recent visit with my husband and 7 year old, and we all very much enjoyed our experience. Service was great - our server was very efficient and friendly. The food was great! I had the fishermans pie, my husband the sheperds pie, and my son had the kids chicken fingers. We were all very happy with our food and will definitely be back the next time we make a trip downtown.
My family and I were visiting Ann Arbor and came across this pub. We are outside. There was 7 of us, 4 adults, 3 kids. The food and service were pretty good. The downfall was there was no kids menu. The Brie appetizer was crispy and delicious. It was only served with 4 pieces of bread. We were 7 people and had to ask for more bread. The kids split fish and chips and wings. They said they were pretty good. I had a chef’s salad with Guinness honey mustard and a Bloody Mary. My husband had the mozzarella salad. My mother in law had the orange salad and father in law had a steak sandwich. All the food was pretty good, nothing amazing or outstanding. They also told us they had a shortage of potatoes. That is quite shocking, an Irish pub out of potatoes!?The patio is nice. Overall an okay place to eat when other places were on a wait. There are definitely better places to eat and drink.
Great atmosphere and good beer. Food, however, not so much. On the plus side, the fried brie we ordered was excellent. Our mains were a different story. My son and I each ordered hamburgers, cooked medium. For mine, I ordered an egg on top. Both burgers came out far past well done and the egg was similarly overcooked. Neither of us finished half of what we ordered but were never asked why or if something was wrong with the food.
Went there for breakfast to catch a soccer game. Atmosphere was good and there was plenty of seats. Service was good and server was quick to check on us throughout the game despite the number of people. Thats why it got two stars.I assume they normally dont serve breakfast but had a few items just for today. I ordered the corn beef hash. Potatoes tasted like they had reheated a package of shredded frozen potatoes. The corned beef was one of the most unflavored pieces of corned beef Ive ever had (Im not even sure how you make corned beef without flavor). The egg on top looked like it was barely cooked, looks like they steamed it or something. This is the most bland dish Ive ever had. Im not even sure I tasted salt and pepper in that dish. Considering the dish literally only contained 3 ingredients I dont know how it was butchered so badly. This is the worst food Ive ever had at a place that made you pay for the food. Cant comment on their normal menu but I dont think Im going to try it considering what they deem as a corn beef hash.
Nice little Irish pub on the main street stretch of bars and restaurants. The food is good. The prices are reasonable (approx. $10 a meal). The trivia on Mondays is excellent. Weekends they have live music, which is nice, but it can get a bit crowded during the school year. Heads up, the prices get jacked up on St. Pattys Day.
Great place to stop for food and drinks. We stopped for a quick lunch and ended up staying for hours. The food was excellent, the beer and liquor selection great, and service fantastic. We are from out of town, but will certainly put Connor ONeills at the top of our list any time we are in the area. The bartender Kevin was awesome!
To people who want to skip a 30 min to 1hr wait time, apparently sliding $40+ to the waiter/waitress (not the host/hostess) then claim a recently emptied table will do the job. I was here during game day so it was super busy and I had to wait a really long time (as expected). When we finally got a table, and we waited in line like normal people, the drinks and food was awesome!! The service was great considering how busy they were. The host was super polite and friendly and kept apologizing for the long wait, while it was really just us requesting a certain section so it was none of his fault. Bless that guy. I just felt bad for him with people ruining the seating arragements.
Food is always great. Its hard to leave a truly unbiased review when you were here after a football game, but seeing as thats the only time Im ever there. Service is definitely impacted after football games, but what isnt around Ann Arbor. That being said, there are still some inconsistent behaviors in the service. Why bring 5 of our 6 drinks but the 6th person never gets hers until she asks 4 times?Just order the sheperds pie and you wont worry about much else. Thats some quality feel good food.
Somehow an artificially authentic Irish pub if that’s possible. Best thing about this place by far is that they make a big deal out of soccer and you can catch the big games here without asking for them to be put on. The food is decent and the drink prices are not anything crazy. Probably not the most fun place for a night out with friends. Patio is nice and big for a summer night.
I absolutely love going to Conor ONeills to enjoy some delicious Irish food and a Magners cider. One of my favorite dishes is their fish and chips. I also love going on Sundays when a local band comes and plays traditional Irish music. One of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor for sure!
I have grown up in Ann Arbor and have been to Connor ONeills multiple times and had wonderful food and service. This past time was HORRIBLE! I get it was a Friday night (last week) and busy, but not busy enough to wait two hours for our food for 4 people and one of them to wait two and a half hours. The waitress paid no attention to us and wed be done with our drinks and wait around for a while. An hour passed and still no food and no server to be seen to ask. I get up half an hour later and tell this waiter I see and he says talk to your server. Then our server comes over and was like I will go check on your food. She should of done this A LONG time ago. Then she is like the kitchen is super backed up. When the food comes my food is cold and I sent it back to be heated in the microwave but it didnt taste good since pasta is not the best reheated. Then I asked for a manager and she denied me it. I said I want to speak to one and she was like you all are in the same boat. I tried to call the next day but no one answered. I will not come back here even though I know the food and drinks can be good. I do not like bad service and they have terrible service.
Food was good. Very well priced. The service was fine. I say not great because it wasnt that busy when I went so not sure how they work under pressure. Also Im not sure where the racist remarks are coming from because our waiter was a black male. So if they were racist he wouldnt be working there. He was nice and polite and joked around with my little cousin. I would go there again.
Been here many times but love the Irish atmosphere -- this past weekend had some awesome entertainment for Saint Patricks Day including bands, river dancing, and bagpipes. The servers are awesome and Rourke is our favorite bartender if you ever run into him! He introduced me to the Black Velvet (Guinness floated on Magners cider) --- delicious. Highly recommend!
As far as Irish pubs too this place is upper average. Cant call it top of its class cause it is just too dang American and filled with too many frat boys and ex frat boys and the wanna bes thereof. But it is a great Irish bar with wonderful beer, great food, and good decor. The clientele just is what keeps me from coming back
We watched the Eclipse of August 2017 at Conor ONeills at the patio. Happy Hour was offered all day in celebration of the Eclipse. Our server was Julie; she was extremely efficient, professional and personable. So nice!! The shepherds pie was as delicious as any served in Ireland. Unbelieveable! The inside decor and atmosphere is totally authentic. The owner/manager is a pure delight. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you!
We were there on August 9th. We were a party of 5. We ordered hamburgers, a chicken wrap, onion rings and fries. We ordered our hamburgers well done. They were well done alright, all were CHARRED BLACK. BLACK! The onion rings looked like donuts. My friends order of rings consisted of 3 rings. They were greasy and soft. No crisp whatsoever! It is SUPER DARK inside. When we walked in from outside we literally had to let our eyes adjust. This was our first visit and last. $61 down the drain. 👎
Conor ONeills is my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. Delicious beer and cider (Magners!), great boxty, and most of all an amazing staff. Whether Im stopping in on a football Saturday, grabbing a beer on the patio, or sitting down for Sunday dinner and the Irish session, Im always happy I came to a place that makes you feel like family.
I used to like this place more, but I feel like theyve gone a bit towards the louder is better atmosphere. The beer selection is good and the food is typical for an irish pub, nothing to be too excited about. Not a bad place but there are better selections in the area.
Always a must-visit when Im home visiting family. We come for the fireplaces and Irish Coffee during the holiday season, then head out to shop! The menu isnt anything special or dazzling, but Conor ONeills is absolutely dependable with yummy comfort food in a cozy setting.
Best fish n chips youll locally find. Their secret sauce is the best. If you cant actually be in Ireland, this is the next best place to be to make you feel like your at an actual Irish pub. Service is decent and decor is actual pieces of wood from Ireland. They always have some kind of football/soccer on too, which is hard to find sometimes.
Connor ONeills reminds me more of the pubs in England than anywhere Ive been in the US. Its got the perfect atmosphere, and the food is fantastic and authentic. In case they see this, Id love to see them adopt an English Pub style order at the bar format AND Id love to see them open in the morning for English/Irish Breakfast. Granted I might be the only person there in the mornings, but I can still wish, cant I?
Good atmosphere. Probably great place for a party night. Maybe should have gone with some traditional I pub fare like fish and chips or shepards pie but was feelin froggy so orderd the NY strip. Sides amd presentation were good but Id be ashamed to charge money for that cut of beef. Ordered medium rare. Came out super thin and well don throughout. Asked nicely as I could (Having seen the movie Waiting, lol) to try again. Was closer to m rare this go around but more purple throughout and the cuts on both attempts was just below roadside diner quality which for $22 plus drinks, appetizer and everything else one would order, I just find unacceptable.. Brought it home to see if the dog will eat it but have my doubts it was that sorry of a piece of beef.. Would do drinks again but nothing else..
This is a pretty solid Irish pub. The bar was built in Ireland and transported here and it definitely has a Dublin bar feel! Order the side if curry sauce - its great with their French fries, chicken tenders, and Irish boxty (veg and potato pancake). The Sheppards pie is awesome as is their corned beef and cabbage. Guinness is on the traditional nitro here and they pour it perfectly.
I like the food there, and think its really good Irish food. But when ever I go there with family someones order is usually messed up. Cold stew, and crispy bacon being switched out for floppy bacon.I like most of their food, I say most because I never have their appatizers and desserts.
Would not recommend anyone to eat here. Their treatment of African Americans is purely racist. A male took his client here for work and was asked for his credit card. He was told he looked like her would dine and dash. This was told to him in front of everyone. This is not how you treat a paying customer. Do not dine here.
Wish I could give it no stars. Went to ONeills for new year, what a horrible experience. We called ahead to make sure they were family friendly and explained we would be going with a child. They said it was okay but that they did not have a childrens menu. No problem. When we get to the restaurant the place looked great but their dinner was cold and bland. We were okay with that and just wanted to make the most out of the night. We (including the child) went to the EMPTY dance floor and began dancing, then we would take a break and go back to the EMPTY dance floor. The manager approached one us and said the kid cannot be on the dance floor. We were infuriated. The dance floor was empty and the child was having a great time dancing (he actually got a few people that were just standing around to dance too). We felt so uncomfortable that we asked for our money back so that we could leave. The manager said no that there was no need for that, but what do you expect if you came to an empty dance floor and approached us in front of everyone and said to remove the child from the dance floor.Honestly, if the manager would have waited until the place was packed and looked to see if the child was still on the dance floor (which I can guarantee he would not have been), things would have gone a lot differently. I understand the child being asked to be removed from a pack dance floor, because a child in a packed dance floor is a liability, but the place was still empty and he made my family and me feel uncomfortable. We approached the manager again and asked for out money back so that we could go home and spend the rest of new years there. Once again, he did not want to refund us our money. We had a horrible start to our 2018 year all thanks to the lack of customer service of this place. There were multiple alternative that the manager could have taken and he did not 1) Refund our money so that we could go home 2) Knowing that we were going with a child we could have been seated in a back room table that they had 3) They could have waited to see if, when the dance floor was pack, the child was still there and, if so, then ask to remove the child. Unfortunately, none of those was the case and because of this I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone.
My wife and I absolutely love the atmosphere and decor, not to mention the delicious food! We have a great time every time we go here, and it is usually one of the first places that we take people visiting from out of town when they want to go out.We enjoy it so much, we even got married at Conor ONeills in September! The venue was just perfect for our small wedding and we are so glad to have used it! The general manager Caroline is so sweet and easy going, she really took great care of us. They have a separate room (called the Celtic Room) that they open up and use for big events such as restaurant week and St. Patricks Day, but they also rent it out. The room has audio/visual capabilities, private bathrooms (separate from the ones in the main bar area), and plenty of space. It was the perfect size for 50-60 guests, with room for a head table, cake table, hors doeuvres table, gifts table, and there was still room for dancing! It could comfortably fit 80, and if you didnt want a dance floor it could probably fit about 100.They catered the event and worked with us to create a customized menu. Not only was everything was very reasonably priced, but the food and service was fantastic! Whether youre looking for a place to eat, drink, or host an event, we highly recommend Conor ONeills.
In reality, we felt that Conor ONeills is between a 1 and a 2. We bumped it up because its not like we *cant* go back (the place isnt dangerous or dirty), we just dont want to.We came here for a friends birthday; he swears by Conor ONeills shepherds pie, which I unfortunately did not get to try. I ended up ordering the Vale salad, which looked mediocre on the menu, and was even less so in person. It was small, and the best parts of it (black olives, blue cheese, egg) were extra sparse. I did get a lot of scallions on the salad, though, which Id missed on the menu (my fault), and which tasted really off in terms of flavor combinations. I was excited about the Guiness honey mustard, but it just tasted like boring honey mustard. My fiance got the spicy chicken wrap and it was not spicy at all. It wasnt bad, but it also wasnt anything notable.Conor ONeills is a bar as well as a restaurant, so our party was confused why there was no beer list available. We had to ask our server, and she must have rattled off twenty different beers names. This was surely a bad use of her time and energies, and it was also annoying for us, as you cant really keep track of so many things rattled off to you quickly in a loud bar, and you dont want to make her repeat it twenty times. The beer list also had no local beers. Bummer! The bathroom was really cold. So, overall, this is just not a place we ever need to return to.
GREAT PLACE! Donald Trump will say about a place like that:AMRICA is a GREAT.If you are missing Europe, the smell of a Good ol Pub, want to watch some real Football (One that is played with a foot, not a hand and with a real rond ball and not an Egged shape ball) or better Rugby...Dont look any further - That is the place. The Fish and chips is greasy and cheap like any good one from that group of island standing on the other side of the channel!Seriously, that place is fantastic - It remind me of home. The staff is wonderful and the owner is just by himself a reason to go a Pinte!
I want to preface this by saying that I know that restaurants can get overwhelmed when it’s busy, and it was definitely busy yesterday with the soccer game in town. But this does not excuse the disappointing treatment I received from the staff at this establishment. We had a group of 11 people, with 1 person arriving ahead of the rest to reserve our spot. My sister called me on our way there to let me know that there was a line outside, and to let the bouncers know that we had a group waiting for us inside already, and that they might give us a hard time about it but it should be ok. It was not OK. The bouncers insisted that we go wait in the line that was nearly a block long, even though our group was already inside. This makes no sense, because the group that’s inside would have had to wait even longer to place their food order while we are waiting in the line, just to get up to the front of the line to AGAIN tell them that our group was already seated. I told them again that our group was inside, and a man that I assume was the host came out and told me that we’d have to wait. I insisted that we had already been seated and just needed to join our group. Then another gentleman (manager possibly?) came out and said that if I didn’t change my behavior I wouldn’t be allowed in. This was really confusing, because at no time did I shout or swear, I was just repeatedly asking to be allowed to join our group. Why should this have been a problem? Then my friend spoke with him and explained the situation, and he was allowed in to go find our group, while I was pointed at and explicitly told that I had to wait outside and that I was out of line. Upon their return, I was told that I could come in, but that I was on “thin ice”. As we tried to make our way in, there was a misunderstanding that we should only have had 10 people in our group, but the 4 of us waiting outside would have made 11, which could not be accommodated. 3 of us left at that point because it wasn’t worth the hassle. As a female, it was disappointing that it took my male friend speaking to the manager to understand our situation. I won’t be back and would recommend going elsewhere if your group is larger than 5. We ate at plenty of other places in Ann Arbor that were perfectly accommodating to a group of 11. Conor O’Niell’s was unfriendly and unwelcoming-not what I expected from an Irish Pub.
Very disappointed to hear that staff in your establishment choose to discriminate against a colleague of mine. He was told he appeared to be a risk for dine and dash and that he would need to turn over a credit card to ensure he would pay for his meal. Why did your staff believe he wouldnt pay his bill? Is it because he was the only black man in your restaurant? He felt that was the case and when he spoke to management they made no attempt to make it right. Im disgusted. You will no longer receive my business.
As a pub lover from London, I dont consider this a proper pub. There are two many booths cluttering up the place and not enough standing room. They dont have a sidewalk permit so youre not able to walk out front with your drink. And even if you could, the outside windows dont have those wide window sills to put your drink on while you smoke. The music is too loud for a pub and pubs should also be well and brightly lit, which Connor ONeills is not.
The place looks like what you would think an irish pub to look like. Thats the only thing good about this place. Food was below average, servers are rude and the kicker is they will charge you around a dollar for mayo on the side. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else.
Just stopped by Conor ONeills for drinks with family & friends after the Michigan football game victory over BYU. Didnt wait too long to get seated, service was good and food & drinks were good also. But, when we asked to watch a different football game (Tennessee vs. FL Gators) on one of their many big screen TVs, we were told they wouldnt change the channel for us, even though more than one had the ND vs. U Mass game on and the table next to us seemed upset & frustrated that we asked to change their chanel away from their game. So, we had to stream the game we wanted to watch on our phones. This was disappointing and we didnt feel the table next to us were very friendly about it or the wait staff in attempting to accommodate our interest. Come to find out that the table next to ours was the owner of Conor ONeills.Hope you dont have to sit next to him if you decide to stop there. Maybe you should ask for a table thats not next to his. We will next time, but there probably wont be a next time for me!
I work with Handicapped clients that suffer T.B.I.s and today I took my client to this establishment to get him away from the facility for a few hours... We only had cash... So the waitress got the General Manager by the name of Caroline Kogonav to come out and tell me that i looked sketchy sitting there and that I looked like I might dine and dash. I was extremely humiliated and angered and embarrassed. I was the only African American there and was saddened that my presence could hinder my clients outing... After I explained the humiliation she caused Caroline was unapologetic about what she said but was apologetic about the way I felt about what she said... During the situation I looked around to see faces looking over at me as I felt guilty just for being black.. Horrible experience in a town thats supposed to be progressive... This is only 1/3rd of the horrible humiliating story.. Just thought Id share
My husband and I dined here with our toddler a while back, they accomidated our child with crayons and paper, and sat us respectfully as a family, and we loved the potato leek soup. But it was trivia night and a bunch of stupid nerds crowded in on us asked us when we would be done eating so they could sit there, or have our table. Its best to avoid Trivia night. Very annoying.
RACIST BUSINESS! Terrible customer service, manager Caroline Kaganov humiliated and insulted a black man on lunch with a client in the restaurant by saying that he looked like he might dine and dash and that they needed a credit card. disgusting behavior, will never go here, i urge others to do the same. so far no action has been taken against the manager and the facebook pages copy-and-paste statement couldnt be more vague. tldr; racist management, no action taken against racism against a customer in a restaurant!

2022-01-15Love the atmosphere here! Food is delicious. Forgot to take pictures of the food as Connors has such a fun Irish theme. Will definitely return again. Chicken strips and Bree were very yummy!

2022-06-06Finally got the chance to visit! My friend used to work here and was always singing their praises. My partner and I both got the poutine. It was unconventional, but delicious! They top it with shepherds pie and a fried egg!

2022-01-18Definitely coming back! I came through during a trip up to Ann Arbor and loved it. Got the curry fries and a Guinness. The guy behind the bar was top notch, checked in a few times and the place has a great atmosphere.

2022-05-30The PERFECT relaxed place for a meal. Staff are stellar. Especially Mr. Erwin! Food was well priced and delicious. Whole atmosphere is perfect for an Irish pub type of feel. They even had live music outside so you could feel that Celtic vibe! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Best restaurant staff in A2 I’ve come across yet.

2022-06-26We rented the back room for my wife’s birthday party. They were amazing. They helped us plan the event and took great care of us throughout the party. The food was awesome, a huge variety and really great. The price was very reasonable too. I would recommend Connor O’Neil’s for any event, big or small!

2021-12-16We visited just after they opened, so not much going on. The place was clean and looked inviting- we sat at the bar. Small selection of drafts; large selection of whiskey: airish, Sctch or abourbon; didnt look at menu so no comment. We will have to give it another shot the next time we are in town.

2022-04-05Good Irish bar. Lots of fun on St Patricks Day. Shepherds pie isnt the greatest but their chicken pot pie is delicious. Also a good spot to watch an away game for Michigan football.

2022-04-15Great pub. Really has that old world feel to it, with the decor and how its all arranged. Food is excellent, service impeccable. They pull a good pint. Always a good time.

2022-04-12I have no idea how I missed this place for so long! Its the real deal. One problem with a number of Irish Pubs is that they go all-in for the TVs and BDubs vibe, or else they go too far in the other, Grandmas-living-room direction. Someone, ONeills strikes the perfect balance – like a Sports Bar in your grandmas living room. The area around the bar is like something out of seventeenth-century London (or Dublin, I should say), and there are enough nooks and crannies scattered throughout the rest of the place that you can hide away without a TV in sight. BUT, if you want to catch a game (usually soccer), there are enough screens with enough good sight lines that you wont miss a thing. Did I mention its one of the only bars in the area that can actually pour a (three-minute) Guinness? Five stars, five stars!
