Before we left the state 12 years ago, we would meet for breakfast, once a week. Seeing that this place has changed hands and is called Country Pride now, we decided to try it. In the past month we have eaten here several times. We have yet to have poor service. We visited again last night and had the chicken noodle soup with dinner. It was the best soup I have ever had. The ranch dressing also reminds me of my daughter-in-laws dressing, excellent! Breakfasts are super. Thank you to the servers, who do such a great job.
This is THE PLACE. Great food and a fantastic waitress 😊 left her a nice little tip and I hope it made her day ♥️

Good people, spaghetti was on point! Sweet tea was hella good... Just go easy on it if you borderline diabetic cuz more than a glassful and you for sure gonna get the suga foot lol
Ordered the Chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes, gravy on the side. It came with gravy on it, no gravy at all for the potatoes. There was so much grease on the plate! Also got fish and fries with a cup of bean soup. Soup was cold, very thin with a strange after taste. I expected Cod for my fish, since it didnt specify on the menu, it was not, tasted okay though. Crinkle fries were soft and mushy.The best thing about the meal was our waitress, Dawn! Considering she was waiting on all the tables with no help she was great.

Huge portions of food, the beef tips were amazing. Waiter threw banana pudding at me. Was extremely rude to are table. Rolled his eyes. I understand that a table came in and it was almost closing time. But no reason to be rude.
Food was great. Wish they would stop closing these. Its nice to be able to eat good food when you travel without having to stop at different places. Miss the one at exit 4 in AL. Best clam chowder ever.
Goulash was the special of the day. It was great and a big portion. We really miss the beef and noodles special that used to be on the menu. Hope they bring it back soon.
Lame place to eat. Wasted my time going there. Rude employee told me that they were closing at 4 and it was only 2 and the guy said that they were trying to go home and I said what does that matter if you are open. So when I picked up food it looked horrible plain jane disgusting.
They offer the highest military/police/fire discount at 25% every day. The waitress was very nice and fast with our order. She even told me to come back on Tuesday because Veterans eat free that day! The food was very good too. Now if they would change up the music, it would be even better.

One of the things that they sell comes in lemon or raspberry I cannot have raspberry so we ordered lemon, we left on down the road and it was all raspberry
I will never eat stake here ever again, ordered t-bone stake well done what I received is cold raw t-bone stake, felt like it was microwaved. I hope I dont get sick from it have to deliver a load tomorrow.
This place was absolutely wonderful! Me and the wife was on a small vacation when we found this gem, prices we very good and the food was great, a very homely country dinner setting that was relaxing.
Amazing food, fast and friendly waiters, huge portions. You pay a little more but so so worth it. Hidden gem will be back. Keep up with the good work. 😁
Was charged $25 for two burgers..had 5 waitresses in there and still took 15 minutes for someone to take my order! Then another 25 minutes waiting on our to go order that was 2 burgers that were overcooked I got the cowboy burger which the onion rings were burnt. It was a bad experience all together!

My family and I ate dinner here tonight, 7/17/19. For starters the service was terrible never offered refills on anyones drinks, never asked how the food was. Then we all got the buffet and the food that was there looked as if it had been sitting there all day. We had salads and waited to see if fresh food was coming out. I ate a piece of very dry chicken, the kids had the chicken also. My husband eats here quite often and mentioned it has never been like that before. I also asked if they had anymore dessert to put out, the reply I got was I needed to order that from the menu or eat the dried out piece of cake that was sitting there; apparently the buffet doesnt include it. Wow, never going here again. With such bad service and food, we were quite upset to have had to pay full price. I write a lot of reviews none as bad as this one except for the place that served us maggots.

Theyre a little off their game. One waitress for a restaurant full of customers and seemingly 1 or 2 cooks. The waitress did her best to handle all of us so no real complaint there. However, the stir fry she served us was burnt to a black coal but she sent it back and fixed it.
I got here about 8:30 on a Friday night iirc and found the Buffet had been wiped out so I ordered Spaghetti with meatballs. It was way too sweet. Tge menu described the sauce as sweet but this was over the top. I sent it back and ordered a fried shrimp basket. It was great. I found the cocktail sauce to be especially good. The service was good.
Corey did a great job. He was fast, friendly, and efficient. The food was tasty. The chicken fried chicken was overcooked. And he offered to replace it. But I tried it, and although the outside was well done, the inside was tender and juicy. It was still very tasty.Id recommend this restaurant for a good stop off of I-94.
Great breakfast buffet. Fresh ,Hot ,Fast even custom order eggs and toast. Everything I could want for a hearty breakfast. Service was great. Thank you Melissa. Cashier and Manager were also super. Had a nice conversation at check out. Keep up the great work TA/Country Pride.
The only positive about this place was the waitress. The baked potatoes tasted microwaved, the hashbrowns were all grease and the $8.00 cheeseburger tots came out ice cold. First and last time I will be here. The best part of the meal was the white buttered toast and even a monkey can make that. So disappointed.
Just visited this restaurant and the food is horrible. My husband got sick after leaving here. The food was brought out within 5 mins after ordering it as if they microwaved our food. The french toast was soggy and the eggs looked like rubber. The biscuits and gravy were cold with sausage that didn’t look fully cooked.
We showed up on the bbq buffet day. It was as expected. The ribs were a little dry. Brisket wasnt great, but not bad. Pulled pork was decent. Sides, chicken and grilled Sausage were all tasty. Price and service were great. Id get it again, even though I wasnt super impressed with the bbq. What else do you expect from bbq on a buffet??? It was solid.

Ive eaten here a few times. The Friday night buffet isnt too bad. There is a small salad bar and the fish and especially chicken on the somewhat small buffet, has a great taste. I have stopped here on numerous occasions to pick up some of their delicious broasted chicken, to take home. Broasted chicken is some of the best fried chicken, with its crispy outside and juicy inside. They also have a few flavors of hand dipped ice cream available. The staff, that has waited on me here, has always been friendly.
Can never find a waitress, cooks dont know how to cook anything, very hard to reach thr stuff on buffet with the type of windows they have. Starts with management. Manager I spoke with after having a medium well steak burnt harder than a rock says I can take 10% off your bill. Really I want it redone I cannot eat it. Never precooked another one I walked after paying 10% less. For breakfast I asked for 3 over medium eggs and they came out all snooty, had them make me new ones then they came back over hard. I wouldnt even give them a star if I had a choice.

Rating is not for the food. The rating is for TA/Petro ownership. I went in to have dinner ordered a drink, it was brought out in a timely fashion. Server drop drink and ran off no straw no sweetener for iced tea counters were nearly bare. I waited for 10 minutes before server came back to take my order. I asked him if I could get a staw and sweetener he laughed and said I was waiting for you to ask me because it is company policy that they do not offer it up to you, same with condements. What kind of bs is that. We now have to beg for things we should have access to begin with. Unfortunately us truck drivers have to deal with these garbage corporations not much choices anymore.

I really use to like this place but tonight took me and my wife 1 1/2hrs to get our food then they made my wife the wrong dinner period and she had to wait longer... I use to say it was better than the fire keepers but not now went way down hill... also two guys that where working there was being very inappropriate and loud when poeple are trying to have a quiet dinner not here them yelling like little kids every where they went ... ( given the place was empty maybe 3 or 4 tables) very poor service and not very professional hope you guys make changes to staff...

Love the breakfast buffet. Only thing I dont is kids cost the same as adults ouch$$$. They eat about 1/4 as much as we do. 4 of us was 60.00 for breakfast.

2021-08-09Upon entering sign says please seat yourself. I do. The restaurant is nice close and a bit slow. Could be where Im located. Upon sitting Im greeted by my waiter and promptly give my a menu and grabs my drink. Drink is well carbonated. I place my order for a ribye and mashed potatoes. It comes with a piece of garlic bread and the soup of the day. I choose the chicken noodle. I get my soup it tasted good lots of flavor given this is a diner at a truck stop. My steak is cooked by my waiter because like everyone else, they are short handed. Comes out just as I order.(medium) he thrown some Cajun seasoning on it for me and brings me out my lea and perrins. The bread was a touch overdone and my mashed potatoes were a touch dry. But this is a diner not a fancy restaurant. My food was delicious for knowing what this place is. Staff if friendly I will be back.

2022-07-13Very very disappointed in our meals...my partner and i always get 2 different meals so we can pick off each others plates and taste a variety of food...gives us a chance to try new and multiple items at different restaurants... As we drive truck.. We are all over Canada and US... We ordered whitefish southern fried came with 2 sides..got fries and house salad... Fish was very thin... Fries was like a half order and they were ice cold. My partner ordered the one pound stearsteak smothered with gravy and fried onions... With 2 sides he got soup and fries.. No flavor to the stearsteak and burnt...barely any gravy..onions were pretty near raw and half order of ...yep cold fries... When i complained about cold fries and raw onions waitress said one min and left went to kitchen... We were almost done eating by the time she came back which btw was the only time we saw her from time we ordered til we left. She came back with 1 half order of fries that was hotter then original and a side a fried onions... AND STILL CHARGED FULL PRICE... 17.99 AND 15.99 ... For half orders of cold tasteless food... And i was soo looking forward to a meal that was a burger joint..ect mcdonalds wendy...though id probably rather it tonight... Dont think ill be back... Sorry

2022-02-08My sweetie took me there to eat back in 2018 for first read date in July. We had just ran into each other after 30 yrs! Well we went again for our birthdays witch is January 13th and 17th. We had a good time and the food was out in a timely manner. Our waitress was super nice and we were both pleased with everything in general.

2022-05-30I want to start by explaining that my food was fantastic and when the server could get to me the service was excellent and I tipped well however the location is terribly understaffed and the reason Im leaving three stars is because if you cant find employees to run your business then you as an owner should be there pulling your weight I know that things got screwed up during covid because the government decided to pay people more money to sit at home then to show up for work but if you own a business and you are short-staffed and you know that you should really be there running your business

2019-07-03Im here now eating at their buffet n it was great, the steak was done a little to much for my taste and I asked if theres any chance they could make me a medium rare to RARE steak and they were more then friendly n willing to take care of me, so big thanks n luv to Kevin n misty for making me feel at home. Ill def come back n show my luv again. Ima tip them both lol they deserve it with the luv they showed me. 1luv u 2 💘💘💘the steak was perfect 😍😍😍 thanks again u 2

2021-12-19Worst country pride I have ever been in. I blame myself. Been here 3xs and everytime I had issues with the order. This last time I order a steak med well. It comes back dry as a desert. Take it back and I stick my fork in it and the cow moooos. Its me rare. The sides were dry as well. Very poor microwave skills.one star cause I couldnt leave blank.
