The store is crisp, big, and has lots of things to feed your nerdom. Steve is amazing, and he hires only amazing people. Its the only place in the Tri-Cities to go for comics, and collectibles! They run a great Facebook, and continue to evolve progressively. Its great to feel appreciated as a person for shopping. Very thankful we have them in Saginaw.
Great selection of comics and action figures, and the store staff is cool to boot! Stopped in on my way through town to see what had changed recently (my first time there in 10-ish years) and the staff STILL remembered me. They know their regular customers and treat everyone well, whether youre dropping a few dollars or buying a backpack full of trade-paperbacks.
I just love going going to this shop. They are very welcoming and open minded. The host many weekend events to promote community ties and acceptance of people from many walks of life. From the Black History Month event to the recent Pride 🏳️🌈 Month event showcasing comic and artist themes. They really try to make everyone man, woman, and child feel welcome!
Ive been going to Coys for years. The owner is a super nice guy and a very good artist. Not only do they always have a ton of new comics, there are tons of back issues and cool variant cover issues. Lots of collectable older comics in great condition and some sketch covers done at the shop. All around great place.
Excellent shop and the best around for comics. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and has helped me, and many others I know, find comics theyve come to love. They run great specials quite often and have a large selection of current and back issues to choose from. Top that off with a monthly pull service to keep you up to date on your favorite comics and its been a no brainer to keep coming back.
The business is operated by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who will do whatever is possible to find exactly what comic(s) you are looking for. They provide a subscription service to stay on top of current comics, and offer specials and deals almost constantly. Definitely something here for everyone, comic veterans and newcomers alike.
Good selection of products throughout the store. However, their outspoken stance on sociopolitical issues and their sales events akin to frat house parties make their business model questionable and the environment not quite so family friendly.Edit to the owner: Actually I was talking about the Jello shots at a St. Patricks Day sale. Also, you say, Our shop doesnt tolerate intolerance, so youre...intolerant? Add hypocrisy to the list of drawbacks.
Great store! Tons of back issues, all price points, I especially like the way that they have new arrivals of back issues in their own section so if youre a irregular you can just look through new back issues that have come in recently before they get sorted into the rest of the boxes back issues.
Maybe you would sell more comics if your store was actually open.Go update your hours to reflect your business correctly instead of giving me some generic response. This is why brick & mortar stores begin to fail, they become complacent to those who support them. ( hours should match on both apple and google and should properly reflect ACTUAL store hours )Caio,
Ok, so havent been in a comic book store in a while. Pulled up on a Saturday afternoon, and the parking lot was hard to read, as the salon next door was open, too. There were many advertisements and posters on the window, but the lit up neon sign and store hours posting showing open hours till 8 confirmed they were open.I was very surprised as I entered! The place was hopping! The young man and woman behind the counter were engaged in a very upbeat conversion with a couple of customers. What looked to be a simple, small shop on the exterior, was filled with a fantastic, intriguing, organized collection of displayed comics, graphic novels, and collectables! As I was on a mission to get the new first edition of the updated 2019 G.I.Joe comic, I had been personally taken to their mega-wall of modern offerings where BINGO! they had a couple left!I then inquired about them having any of the older editions... The ones from my childhood...80s collections. And,YES they did!!! Winner winner!!!The salesman took me to the back wall where I was again amazed by the huge collection of classic comics, categorically organized as one could imagine a perfect comic store would appear! As I flipped through multiple boxes (he had introduced me to a box of newly arrived stock, and had more on the table), and started my selecting, I took notice of the multiple patrons on the floor. Ranging in many ages and demographics, they each looked like they had their purpose to be there. As you can probably tell from the timeline of my interests, Im not a young person. Being an old guy in a comic book store could have made me feel awkward, but instead, I was feeling right at home (and happily surprised). There was television monitor flashing Batman images from a series, and a long table of graphic artist who were diligently sketching what looked to be Batman styled artwork. (I was informed I was there on the Batman 80th anniversary, and they had a lot of events, discounts, and gives-aways going on in honor.)Man! What customer engagement!Upon having my choices, I slipped past the table of artists to check out the south wall of collectibles. There was a great collection of new and vintage mint in box figures (Funko-Pops!) and collectibles! As I checked out, I was further offered to have my interests put on file, as the management team makes active pursuits to meet their customer needs while restocking. Again... Unsurmountable customer service!!!Oh, and they have this great tiered frequent customer club you can join at 3 different levels that offers great returns on your initial investment). What a great choice for me to stop in! You should, too!
Came in looking for a comic with my Fiance even though we had a bad experience last time also. The employee didnt seem to care that we even came in. Didnt say a word to us either. Didnt expect much but a hello and if we needed help would have been nice. Especially cause this has happened to us a few times now, wont be stopping in anymore.

2022-07-20Friendly, good prices and selection, they pay incredibly fair and honestly. Can be time consuming to sell because theyre checking everything to make sure you get paid properly for everything you bring them. Feels like home when you walk in.

2021-08-30After some rather disappointing experiences at Comic Relief of Flint, I decided to leave town and see what I could find. My journey took me to Coy Comics in Saginaw, MI. What a GREAT place. Hats off to you and specifically to Andy who helped me out.I messaged on Facebook letting them know what I was looking for. They replied back with pictures and I told them I was coming. When I arrived, the books were ready and Andy greeted me by name. I decided to stay and shop and wait out the storm. 45 minutes later I was about $80 poorer and very happy. I even signed up for their rewards program.Another reviewer suggested that their prices were too high but I found them to be competitive. Of course one will probably find cheaper at conventions and maybe on eBay (minus the high shipping costs) but the experience more than made up for it. Friendly, knowledgeable, and a great selection. I love comic book stores because of that personal touch and someone to talk comics with. And in addition to all that, the store was bright and organized and offered so much in addition to comic books.Keep up the great work, Coy Comics. You have a new customer in me and Legend rewards member too.
