The food did not stand out for me. The Waiter was less than attentive to our needs so we could order our food. The environment is okay. Kinda gives you a Sports bar kind of feel. But nothing stood out for me, so I cant see myself returning there. Nothing memorable at all.
We had a frustrating time (about 15 min) of being seated, but the wait staff was kind and courteous. We ordered beer (on tap-pic below) and 3 appetizers to share (pic below). The beer was delicious! All of the food was delicious (especially the steak bites), although everything (except the steak bites) was a little over salted.Because we had a seating issue at the beginning, we kind of had two of the wait staff handling our table, Sarah for the majority of the time and a man (I don’t remember his name). They were both friendly and attentive.
Let me start out with saying that this is my first Google review I’ve written. My sister and I came here for dinner and the hostess did not even say a single word to us. She ordered boneless chicken wings and when she received her meal they were bone in. We told the waiter and he responds with “we no longer carry boneless wings”. The food was gross and the bathrooms were disgusting. I will never be back.
I always felt that this place was a little underwhelming. From their beer to their food, the menu selection is great. None of which would bring me rushing back though. As far as the atmosphere, it is very upbeat. Their is also a shuffleboard, which I always found amusing when waiting for a carryout order. The service is generally friendly and the place is pretty clean and modern.Overall, I guess its worth a visit or two if ever in the area.
This is a great place for dinner and a great selection of craft beers and ciders on tap and many more beers in bottles. The food is very good and the service was excellent. Our server, Heaven, is very knowledgeable about the drinks and the food and you would be fortunate to sit in her section. We will definitely be back.
This place had a great selection of beers, a great variety of unique variations to classic bar foods, different settings in wide open spaces, lots of tables, and plenty of tvs. All of our food choices were delicious. I had the Green Chili Burger which was tasty. Only minor flaw was the level of service - it could have been better. I would still go back and explore the menu further. 4.9 overall score.
Ive always passed by Craft Breww City on my way to Starbucks, but Ive never actually given it a chance to try! A friend invited me out two nights ago and we ended up meeting there.-The atmosphere was amazing upon entering! The hostess had a smile on her face and sat us down pretty quickly. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, drinking and playing pool.-The menu had a lot of options! It wasnt that hard to choose, though because I am vegetarian. We ended up getting the queso and guac duo with chips and my friend got steak bites for herself.-In her own words, she said the steak bites tasted like cat pee however, the chips queso and guac were not bad! A little bland, but not bad at all.-The servers were very kind and amazing when it came to recommendations! We also got two pink lemonades, adult version! They tasted awesome and not strong at all.-I would definitely return to try more things on the menu. Thanks for a great experience!
We are new to the area after moving up from Indianapolis. Trying to find a great grub hub type place and found it. Loved the variety of beer selections and the food was great. Staff were all very friendly. During dinner we found out the menu had recently changed. We had a side salad and italian sub sandwich which were awesome. Loved the atmosphere. Very clean, open and inviting. They also allow kids which is a huge plus for us. We are definitely going back (worth the 35 min drive for us). Next time we will check out the patio.
I just returned from dinner on the patio at Craft Breww City and aside from the obvious, well priced beer and food, I was pleasantly surprised to see their large offering of (delicious) Mediterranean food, but most importantly I was so impressed with the staff tonight. Given the current climate it was very obvious they were short staffed and it was all hands on deck from managers to bus boys who were hustling hard to keep up the customer’s experience. Though everyone was working hard, the employees attended to all customers’ needs and requests with a smile on their face. Our waiter especially, who I believed is named Devon (though our receipt said DJ), was working his tail off handling all his tables, checking on us constantly, making sure our drinks were constantly full and just being an absolute pleasure to interact with. This seems like an amazing staff and I absolutely will be back to support and likewise will be recommending to friends and family.
Ive been here a few times and the service was good, unfortunately this time the server was to busy with trying to pick up a lady at the bar. With times being tough now I tip even more to try and keep restaurants open. The restaurant was slow and they had plenty or servers, there really isnt any excuse for waiting like we did and watching or server run his pick up for 20mins. We got or appetizers and never even ordered our dinner because of the pick up artist. My entire party left hungry and disappointed, Just a terrible experience over all!
Updated review. Service was very slow. Had the hummus and veggie plate and firecracker shrimp. Shrimp was good. Veggies were old, dried out, and mushy. There were little bugs flying around. Server stated they are worse in the summer. This should not be a problem, need to clean up the place. It was gross.
Ate there on a few occasions before they shut down for renovations. (literally just a garage door to the outside, took 8+ months to install?)Never cared for the food. Eventually just stuck with chicken tenders while I enjoyed my beer. No one can screw up a fried chicken tender, right? Was hoping to be impressed since they reopened. New menu, thought yay! look at all the options.... reality of the meal.... not a fan. Have tried eating there 2 different times and tried 2 different items. Chicken Shawarma, so disappointed. Grilled Chicken Sandwich, more disappointed.Ill go for drinks since they have a nice selection, but Ill eat elsewhere first. Not interested in being disappointed by my food on my one night of cheat meal freedom.
First they are way under staffed the poor ladies working at the bar was waiting on the entire restaurant. I ordered a burger well done with fries and a coke. I received my burger by who I’m only assuming is the manager/ owner I informed him I needed a side of Mayo he said I’ll grab that for you. He didn’t he gave it to the extremely busy server. I asked for my burger to be well done when I got it there was so much blood that the bun was soggy it was literally dripping blood. Of corse the server was to busy to come back and check how my food was. When she finally got back to me I was all but done with everything. She did take the burger off my bill. The manager who brought my food out should be helping her out. It was my first time there. All in all it wasn’t a pleasant experience and I will not be returning.Ps. the server was very pleasant just over worked.
Food is consistent and very good. Love their chicken tenders with the new menu changes though the club which was fantastic is gone. The rattlesnake pasta was replaced with southwest which isnt nearly as good. And the new nachos are a downgrade to what they previously had.
First time there....Had the philly cheese steak, barely any meat or whatever it was because it wasn’t meat, Brussels sprouts were hard as well, bread was soggy.... definitely not a place where you should eat, maybe burgers and drinks because their wings is trash also very low budget food.
The food was solid, the beer options were varied (in a very good way), but service was mostly poor. The hostess was unfriendly, it took 10-15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us at our table, we needed to ask a couple people before we could get silverware. It just seemed deeply unimportant to anyone we were there. Once we got a server, he was great (thanks Devin!) And we enjoyed our food (loaded tots) and beer (had Gulden Draak on tap for the first time, great range of options for any drinker), but the disinterested service made a second visit unlikely.
First time to the establishment and enjoyed my stay. Friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced food! I had the mac and cheese and they were great! My bartender was adam and Erin. Adam introduced himself and routinely checked in to make sure I was taken care of. GREAT customer service! Ill be back!
The staff has been very friendly, and the food is great! The nachos are my absolute favorite. They have great toppings and you can tell they actually fry the chips themselves. Most other places just dump a pound of lettuce on some bagged chips and toss in some ground beef, but not here. And the portions are HUGE. I definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a good pig-out joint to enjoy with friends!
The service was great, fast and kind. But the biggest disappointment was the food. I ordered a Salmon Burger, it was cold and it tasted like grounded up imitation Vegan soy salmon. Instead of fries I ordered the house salad it came with green beans on it, interesting but weird. The other people I ate with were disappointed in their meals also which was chewy steak and undercooked crab cakes. But I heard they had good drinks.
The food here is better than expected. Ive been three times, and each time Ive been pleasantly surprised by either the quality of the food or the level of service. Im not a big beer drinker, but it seems they have a fairly extensive selection. The happy hour specials are good. The bartenders were pleasant and able to make helpful suggestions about my drink. Great place.
First time here, great first impression. Not a typical “bar” type of place, it felt much cleaner, warmer, and polished. I came on a Tuesday evening, twice in fact - once at around 4:30pm and then again at around 9pm. Both times, service was quick, food was delicious (loaded curly fries at 4, #2 burger at 9, beer both times) and the staff was very warm and welcoming. Great music for us 80’s/90’s kids, and even as it filled up a bit I had no trouble maintaining a conversation without any need to talk about normal volume. As with almost ALL Michigan restaurants I’ve been to, fantastic selection of local beers. Reason I went twice: lost my wallet after leaving at 4, was recovered by staff who promptly notified me, so I went back to dinner.
Great collection of beers! Nice place to hangout with friends and family! There is ample seating available on normal day but still gets very crowded on weekends and holidays. They have high chairs and sitting on the bar table is just equally good. Also, they have classic American food and really good Pizzas!
I came here on a Friday evening with a few friends to hangout and play pool. We didnt order any food so unfortunately I cant speak to how that is, but I loved the atmosphere. There are 3 pool tables which people can play at casually. I was surprised we got a table right away even though it was a Friday night! Interestingly the floors were pretty sticky around the pool tables, almost like the floor of a club - maybe because it was towards the end of the week? Otherwise a fun experience!
Tried this place twice, and I remember why we didnt come back after the first time.First time we dined in. We are pretty certain that our waiter was on drugs. He asked us at least 10 times (no exaggeration) what our order was. He looked very spaced and tweaked out. Service was slow.Second time we ordered take out. I had the chicken noodle soup and it was so salty I spit it out immediately!Very disappointing since we live so close and it seems like a good late-night option, but we avoid it at all costs. The place looks nice, but our experiences ensure we wont return. :(
I have been to this establishment many times and have enjoyed them all. Huge drink selection, cool atmosphere, and attentive staff. 1 recommendation with my recent encounter though would be to not get the wings. They were nearly inedible. Perhaps they were fried twice or back then fried but the chicken was so dry. I threw away nearly half of the wings.
Always great service, an amazing craft beer selection both on tap and in bottles, and delicious food. Most of the servers here are attentive without hovering, and do a good job of staying on top of the customers needs. All day happy hour on Sunday is a great feature, with discounts on draft beers and many appetizers. Also a great venue for group gatherings. If you need a quieter space, they have a couple of rooms that can be closed off for a private area, and the management is extremely helpful in working with you to set up the space and time needed for whatever you have going on.Id personally recommend the hangover sandwich, with or without a burger patty, and the brownie sundae is heaven in a bowl. But you really cant go wrong with any of the choices here!
I have been going here for lunch at least 1-2 a week for 2 years. Not once have I ever had bad service. The food has been on point most of the time (sometimes the burgers are too saucy so I just ask for it in the side now.) The staff is friendly, the prices are standard, the food is good. Not much more I could ask for a bar. Oh right the beer, the beer selection on draft is better than usual but nothing crazy like hopcat.
Good beer selection with a heavy home state influence. I felt a little invisible at a half empty bar for a while. I had to reach over the bar to get my own menu. Took about 15 minutes to get service. If I wasnt meeting folks, I would have left. Dinner was good and our server was great!!
I went here for a Xmas party. Overall, its a decent place to have food, drinks, and socialize. The menu is average. The service could be a lot better though. Very long wait times between follow up and it took forever to get food. With all fairness, I would have to go again to really critique the service. They may have been short staffed or training new people. Im open to a second experience to see if the service improved. #HamdsomeClark
Ive been here twice. The first time, the staff took a very long time to get food out despite the place being almost empty. The staff forgot multiple peoples food items and was very slow to provide water refills (which could have been avoided by just giving the table a jug or two)The second time, I went for a work function. I couldnt eat anything served at the party because of a bad dairy allergy, so I ordered off the menu instead.I paid $16 for a burger that was absolutely burnt on one side and it took 30+ minutes to get it out to me while the rest of my coworkers were eating, while, again, there were very few tables with customers. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and it was obviously very well done.I had already eaten almost half of the burger when it started to taste extremely burnt, so I decided not to ask for a remedy...it just wasnt worth my time to wait for a fix.
Im not sure why the reviews are so variable for this restaurant. I really enjoyed it. The beer selection was amazing! I loved the local choices they offered and the descriptions of each. You can get 4 oz to taste multiples or just a reg 16 oz of your favorite. They also have a TON on tap that changes for the season. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer which was flavorful but a bit chewy. I left off a star for the price... $10 per app is high. Well probably skip the app next time. For dinner my other ordered the peanut butter sriracha bacon burger. Good, but it needs something like pickles or mayo to break up the heavy PB bacon combo. I got the Pretzel Burger with bacon, cheddar and cherry BBQ sauce. It was my favorite part of the meal. The combo is very tasty together. I would order that again.
Beer menu includes local and domestic favorites on draft. Large bottle selection. Food was okay. The dining and bar area is very open which makes the environment very loud as there is nothing to dampen the volume. Theyve got pool tables and shuffle board which is cool.
Large place with a great local craft beer selection, pool tables, and TVs. Kids menu exists, but is not listed on the menu. Definitely a step above the other local pubs in the area. Creative menu with fresh takes on classic meals. Healthy options available for those not looking for burgers. Would recommend for larger groups or just catching a game. Service wasnt very fast when we went in, but maybe its faster during prime time.
Update: Their service has improved tremendously over the past months.I literally love this place. I love the atmosphere. I love the food. I love the drinks. But the service is horrible. I have given multiple chances. The first time I had a waitress not give me a drink for an hour when I asked why she accused me of not being 21. Even after she looked at my id 3 times. To be fair I lost 50 pounds. But she could have said something instead of letting me sit for an hour. So I decided to give them another shot.Ive been there about 3 or 4 more times and the waitstaff consistently forgets stuff and takes a long time getting anything. Ive just come to expect it. If everything else wasnt so on point Id stop going. But if they got better waitstaff it would be a 5 star place. Seriously I love everything else. I just hate the service.
Atmosphere was good. Food was not really that good especially for the price. I had the pretzel burger and it was only burger, two small peices of bacon and the bbq sauce. I had to ask for more sauce. Honestly the burger flavor was not that special. I will definitely go back and try it again. The atmosphere was really what people go there for.
My wife and I went here for lunch on Sunday. It was quiet, plenty of space to sit. Awesome beer options (KBS on tap!) and the food was solid; I had pulled pork and my wife got sliders. Good sports bar menu, and if youre a beer fan you cant go wrong. Plenty of screens to watch a game, pool tables, and shuffleboard. Good time!
Our hockey team stopped here to get food after a tournament and was very disappointed. Our waiter was tweaking hardcore and screwed up all of our drink orders. However we got the duck poutine and nachos as an app, and those were very good. Im sure this restaurant is awesome, but we had a bad experience. Had to go somewhere else for food.
Impossible to contact this place except by walking in the front door or maybe mailing them a letter. Nobody answers the phone. Their voice mail inbox is full and cant take any messages. Their email server doesnt accept messages.Day two. Still no answer on their phone and mail box is still full. Alternate number doesnt answer either. No return call from voice mail I left there either.OK, I get it. Ill find another restaurant to buy a gift certificate.
Nice selection of beers for hubby. Enjoyed a Spinach/Artichoke dip appetizer. It was hot and delicious with plenty to split between the 2 of us. Split a Corned Beef Reuben with added on salad. Pretty skimpy on the meat in the sandwich for $10.75 and meat was a thicker cut and quite chewy, not moist and tender like Id hoped. Added on salad was pretty good with extra ingredients such as chopped hard boiled egg but again, I thought it was small for the added price. Server was adequate, at table at appropriate times to refill beverages and clear empty plates. Enjoyed a fun round of classic shuffleboard after dinner. However, if youre a Reuben aficionado like my hubby you will probably be disappointed :=(
This spot was recommended by by my in-laws. Great spot for sports. I had a drink (beer) a stout called super trooper! Delicious! Im not even a beer drinker. When I do, its a gienuess. Staff was short staffed. The two women who took care of us were great! Sweet! Very relatable! The fish & chips were yummy! The pizza was cooked to perfection!
Seems like a good place to watch some football... The food was better than average bar grub and the bartender was friendly and attentive. It a big place lots of room with some outdoor seating as well. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it wasnt crowded at all. They also have 3 pool tables, golden tee, and shuffle board.
Our pizza was quite underdone, but I didnt realize it until there were 3 slices left. It was not enjoyable at all (but its pizza so you still gotta eat it, right?) I expect it to be good when its actually cooked. The drinks were really good. The waiter messed up our groups bills not once, not twice, but 3 times. Dude, bring a notepad with you!!!
A lot of choicesHappy hour starts at 3 - last till 6pm.I really came here to enjoy the variety of interesting beer.. i enjoyed that a lot and the food was up there with the best bar food. A pleasant surprise. Service was very noce and knowledgeable about the beer. I can really recommend a visit.
Food was normal, good but nothing special. A lot of the food had a hint of Mexican spices, think taco seasoning, here and there. Extremely loud (as you would expect from a sports bar) but great atmosphere. Service was normal, if not a bit slow. Would go here than Champs any day!
Jeff is a great bartender. Fantastic happy hour. 1/2 off most drinks, which are reasonably priced to start with. I got chips with queso and guacamole. Guacamole was kinda plain, nothing special. Queso was pretty good. My friend got the sliders and tater tots. Both were good. Food was served quickly. Service was very good. They have a handful of pool tables that are free to use. Looking forward to going back.
Ive been here a bunch, the beer selection is great! But my latest visit was kind of a disappointment. Ordered a Turkey Burger yesterday (11/23/18) and it was stone cold in the center and mushy. Luckily, 24 hours hours later I havent gotten sick but last night I was pretty worried. I think this is a great spot, but maybe avoid the food.
We enjoyed our meal! Different way to serve salmon with a barbeque sauce, tasty food was hot!Our time during a hopping happy hour was enjoyed. Its a bar setting, you just go with the flow, waiters are busy, Loud and happy place to go! Waiters definately deserve and earns their tips! Support Local business tip well! They have a hefty crowd to serve we left very satisfied! We could hear each other speak in the dinning area.Fun Vibration!
This place used to be good. Seems like they lost control. The waitress was nice but seemed very disorganized. Food was not good. I had the BBQ cheeseburger and fries. Didnt ask how I wanted my burger cooked, came out well done and fries were cold. Everything took a long time.
Im a regular at CBC and after 12 months of teething issues with hard-to-follow beer prices and color codes I think theyre finally hitting their stride. Happy hour is good for the whole family, all day Sunday and 12-5 on Saturdays as well as an early and late happy hour on weekdays. Great selection of beer that only rarely runs out on the first few nights after its tapped. Food is great too with a wide range of options. Ive never been disappointed with anything yet.The biggest annoyance for me is the rewards program that they stablished but Im never able to earn any points on. Even asking the staff for help its rare for a receipt to actually process through and award points.
Craft Breww City is a great place to go, whether youre just bringing your family for a bite to eat or coming at night to have some fun with friends. The service is great, and Pat the manager always comes to check on you and make sure everything is great. The atmosphere here is amazing and the games are free! Would recommend. 13/10
Waitress was dull, the other employees that walked by were so friendly though. My daughters chicken breast was burnt on one side and barely cooked on the other. It was also so dry. Reminded me of that time I was eating a bowl of sand. The beer selection was good, not great, even know they ha e so many to choose from. I wont return.
Good beer selection but thats where the good thing stop. I got the nachos last time I was there and there was so much grease and the chips were so soggy it was inedible. It was like it was kid microwaved. And the guacamole that was on it had no flavor and was a very dark green color. Ordered a bottle of wine cause it was half off bottle wine server brought out a glass of wine. Food took around 20 minutes to get to the table and none of it was really worth it. Besides the nachos the wings, which I ordered boneless and got bone in were nothing special sauce was ok. So I probably wont go back. There are better restaurants with a similar beer selection with slot better food
Went here lastnight with family before our movie. This was my first visit and very disappointing. The atmosphere was great, the service was decent, but the food not so much. The coleslaw had a taste of plastic, the crab cakes lacked flavor big time, the spinach dip was by far theeee worst I have ever had (very watery and definitely canned), the sauce for the wings are good but the chicken itself had no flavor/seasoning, also the sauces on the side (ranch & blue cheese) was watered down. Sad to say that the best thing were my 🍟. If I ever return it will be for drinks/socializing only!
Service at the bar was slow, basically non existent. I ordered the spinach dip and after it finally arrived it was ice cold. Once I was able to get the bartenders attention they took it to the kitchen where it was microwaved to a mildly warm state and then returned to me.
Nothing impressive, many times you sit at the bar and they dont offer you a dinner menu. Some liquors taste so bad I wonder what is going on. Young staff many times dont know how to interact and appreciate the customer.I may go here to have 02 shots and walk out, just because it is in a walking distance from my hotel to an amazing Korean restaurant nearby. In sum: highly disappointed, I wish they could perform better. This is a constructive criticism.
If you are looking for a beer and a burger then look no further. Not only were the burger and fries delicious, the beer menu is amazing. Dozens of draft beers are available and probably close to 50 more in bottles. If you have a question, the knowledgable staff will help you get something you will like. The taps rotate and so do the bottles, so frequent visits are recommended if you want to try everything. Large location, so perfect for groups as well as couples.
I have been to this restaurant a few times. I was not impressed with the last visit. The food was decent, but the service was terrible. The waiter was completely inattentive. I didn’t see the waiter after I received my food. He never asked how were things or if I needed anything. Did not offer refills for drinks. I had to get his attention to get my bill. Will probably not be back.
Dishes are OK. Food is not their forte, but its acceptable. Whatever you do, avoid the steak tips - the fat is all cooked out, tastes like a salt lick, and includes zip sauce, which is very salty. Beer and Coffee are good quality. Couldnt believe I paid $10.50 before tax for a 7oz. beer, but it wasnt for me so what do I know. The place is always busy and nearby parking is scarce.
My co-worker and I stopped here after eating at Kabuki next door. We wanted a small nightcap after a great meal. Both of us are craft and micro-brew fanatics and thoroughly enjoyed the vast selections to choose from. We ordered a few each and fount the bill to be smaller than wed expected. The bartenders were friendly and knew a good deal about their locals. I only wish theyd open a location here in Southern Indiana!
Constant rotation draft beer selection filling up an entire page! Pool is free, wait staff is super knowledgeable about beers if you want to be adventurous, and all of their draft selection comes in 4, 9, and 16 oz. Also priced very well. Food is great as well. Definitely recommend.
We were completely satisfied with our experience @ CBC. The atmosphere is very cool. Though we visited during an off peak time, everything that we ate, drank, and experienced was great! For those on a keto or low carb diet, we found plenty of choices. The deviled eggs and steak bites were top notch! We enjoyed two mixed drinks that very good and 1 craft beer that was also very good. The next time we go to the Auburn Hills Outlet mall we will be dining at CBC.
The service from when we walked into the door until the time we left was absolutely horrible. The hostess was very rude to us and acted like she had authority of us. When she placed us at our seat begrudgingly she than rolled her eyes and copped an attitude when walking away as if we inconvenience her life by making her do her job. When a waitress did come to our table it was ten minutes after we had been sitting at our table. The waitress was very uninterested in servicing us, once she took our order we did not see her again for forty minutes someone else brought us our food and no one asked us if we needed anything additional. The build was also extremely cold.
These managers are simply not interested in providing quality service, and the staff know it. My stay started by water poring on me from the ceiling. They claim that there was roof work being done. However, After moving to the next seat over which placed me directly across from the wet seat, I made it a point to keep tabs and see if the next people experienced this. Annnd... not at all. So the jury is out on that one.Next, upon informing my server that water was literally poring down from the ceiling (only one occurrence of about 3 table spoons. so this is a major leak if its coming from the rooftop) he kindly suggested that I move to my now observation seat. If you dont have a sense of humor about these things youll be forever better. lol. anyway. So, Though I was on the phone for about 2 minutes following moving seats, the service appeared uninterested in taking my order at all. I had to practically yell at him to get him to come back to my table. After walking away from me to chat with another server in the middle of my order, he then returned only to informed me that he actually was not my server and introduced me to another server (whom I would soon come to understand is also incompetent). I honestly think she tried to provide a good experience initially but she honestly never had a fighting chance given the climate of inconsideration for customer in this place. Starting from the managers. Yea, I did just place quotations around an s in managers. hey... anyway. So long story longer... given the interruption in servers and the initial server not starting from scratch with asking about my order, You guessed it. My salad came and nothing followed. Youre good! So once I finished my salad and the server came over 10 min. later to hand me my check while asking if she could get me something more. I replied with what any intelligent dinner would, yes. My antree. Annd it all when further south from there. It took the manager 15 minute and 2 requests to come to the table. I explained all of this to her in the same tone and coolness as you can imagine given my willingness to write this thesis in the humorous tone before even leaving my observation station. ;-)The manager finally asked if I wanted to reorder my entree and of course I declined and told her I would simply like to have my order comped. She was eager to jump right in while placing her hand on my shoulder, oh you dont have to tell me you want your order comped. I know. I guess she had enough requests and experiences like this to know. Needless to say at the point, but Ill let you know anyway... She never came back to the table and she never told my two servers that she was comping my meal. So the 2nd server came over 35 min after my salad and attempted to hand me a check. I entertained her with the content of my conversation with her manager and she went off to find Ms. Lizara ;-] (names of the individuals in this true story may have been changed to protect the incompetent). And you betcha! I had to wait yet another 10 min + before my 2nd server returned. I will add that the food was decent and the 2nd server did try.
Craft Breww City seems to close when they like and shut off the kitchen. They are normally open until 2am and kitchen does not close until 12am ish on a Saturday night. The manager tonight decided to close the kitchen sooner like at 10pm and even people were still coming in asking for food. This is not how to run a respected establishment I have been coming to for the last 2 years and had mostly good results. I was extremely annoyed and so was my friend with me. People left BECAUSE they were not serving any more food. Please reprimand your management for this. If you are not serving food you should providing some snacks.
Have had two meals from this place1.Grilled cheese with pub fries - Delicious2.Pulled pork with pub fries- wasnt bad.My personal experience with this restaurant is ok. My first order was great. My second order was not good..My coworkers and I often order meals for pickup, and one of us goes to get the meal. This order was no different.I called in my order an hour early (12:15pm)and told the waiter that I would be there in an hour to pick up the food. I was quoted a price of $53. When I arrived (1:14pm)the waitress told me the food would be out in a few minutes. And she gave me the bill. The bill was $67. I asked the waitress why the bill was more than expected? She looked at the bill for a moment and then said she does not know, but would consult with the manager.I payed the bill with cash due to the prices appeared to be accurate for the orders give or take a few dollars on two items. Now I understand that online menus do no always match the in store price, and considering I have had food from them before and the portions were a good size, I had faith that the situation would play out better.(Note:.We did check out their website for the menu. The vast majority of the prices online did not match the receipt.)She left the front and went into the back of the restaurant- I did not see her again for another 10 minutes (1:27pm). She finally came back with another gentlemen. Whom did not speak to me at all. They spoke for a few minutes near the register. Then the guy left. and she handled the register for another minute.(1:32pm)Then she came back to me and gave me cash back and stated they dont make the donut item. (I was now back to the originally quoted price.)I then waited another 3 minutes (1:36pm) and she brought out the bag of food. All the items were there(except the donut).I wasnt happy, but complaining any further would just fall onto deaf ears, and I wanted to get back to work while I still had time.It took less then 8 minutes for me to get back to work. and the food was warm but not hot.Overall- a disappointing experience. And me and my co-workers will not be going back. But the questions still remain:Why was I not called back to be advised that you do not sell the donut anymore? Why was the food not ready? - You had an hour+FYI - the portions have shrunk as well.
First time trying this restaurant. Ordered dinner via Grubhub. 40 minutes later, my order was cancelled. Then says its back on and should be delivered within another 40 mins. 2 hours from order time- nothing! So after putting my sick son to bed, now I have get nothing. Thanks! Wont be trying this again. 😑
Our waitress seemed annoyed and rolled her eyes at our table THREE different times. I understand having a bad day, however, your attitude determines your tip gratitude and we were less than impressed with her irritation. I speak as a seasoned worker in the service industry, thats just as offputting as a customer as it is to work with someone with a sour disposition enough to roll her eyes at pleasant people.
Fun place. Came in for a very quick lunch. Everything was fast with great service. The main problem is when I asked if the Ceasar dressing is homemade and you say Yes, please make sure that is correct. Unfortunately the dressing was straight from GFS or Sysco. That sir is not homemade dressing
Craft Breww Citys greatest strength is its atmosphere: clean, open, and lively, with lots of televisions, pool tables, and flexible seating. I got a plain hamburger, which was very underwhelming, and our service was exceptionally unresponsive (we waited for probably 15 minutes after being seated for our first visit from our server before we stopped someone ourselves). The other people in my party seemed much more pleased with the food, so I may have just chosen poorly. All in all, it seems like a great place to spend with a group for a night of socializing.
Calling this place a gastropub is laughable. Standard pseudo-upscale menu with nothing really good. Didnt get silverware until we had our food for 10+ minutes and had to ask 2 different waitresses for it. Friend ordered a beer and didnt find out it was TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS until the waitress actually brought it. The place is not well lit and the text is very small on the beer menu.Got the Carnitas and they were just OK, meat was cold and you could tell it had been sitting in the window for 5+ minutes. My friends 6 dollar side of asparagus was literally 6 stalks and they were overcooked as all hell, the salmon was mediocre at best, the potatoes flavorless.Hangover sandwich is about the only thing that I would have eaten which another friend got.If youre coming here dont go for the food or the service. Beer selection is OK but not enough to bring me back.
Great Location & selection of food (burgers!) As well as beer. But the cheese dip & pretzel loaf!!!!!! Oh Man ! fyi: be mindful of the time of day & day the week that you decide to go!!!!! However; my review is solely based on my experience in the pub ; the parking has ALWAYS been lousy in that lot for years!! Like any other multiuse parking lot ! Let someone else do the driving and try and enjoy your time there.
You don’t have to be a beer lover to appreciate this place. I’m not a drinker, but after looking at their menu, you can definitely find a taste for anyone and everyone. I am man of food and I believe a restaurant is only as good as the Rueben they serve, so with that said, this place is AMAZING! If you have ever wondered what the place is like, you should just go and experience it.
I visited for a corporate luncheon so we had our pick from a condensed version of the menu. I ordered the mac and cheese and I wasnt impressed with it very much. I gave it 3 stars because the server I had initially gave me a bad vibe, but by the end of our meal he had turned everything around and I left feeling he had catered to all of my needs. So the service beat out the food this time around.
Pretzel app was burned, sent it back and received a less burnt pretzel. It was stale and informed the wait staff who was a nice gentleman. However, the manager never came back to check on my order after the dissatisfaction I experienced and as a manager I believe he should have followed up with his customer. I ended up paying for the half eaten item, no apologies or anything for the experience. Sure it was only 7$ but the $ is not the point. I wasnt taken care of as a customer.
The burger and house made chips were pretty good. They claim to grind their own mean. However, the place smelled horrible when we walked in. It smelled like dirty water. Also, the brussels sprouts were under-cooked and oily. They were also supposed to have bacon and they did not. Its pretty cheap for a burger...but I can think of many other places Id rather go.
Craft brew city has a good selection of beers, on tap, or in can or bottle. Food is good, but it is on the expensive side. When they are not busy their service is very prompt. However when they are crowded service is extremely slow. It took almost 20 minutes for a server to return to take our order.
Me and friends have been there many times after work. If the beer wasnt sooooo amazing we would NEVER go back because the food isnt that great and worst than that the waitresses are unattentive. Its also pretty pathetic that if me or someone at my table doesnt have a complaint someone close at another table does and usually are talking to the manager about it.
Modern food that tastes good. Service for me the half dozen times I have been there has been good. But more importantly, I havent found anywhere else in the area making green chili... served both with country rib chunks as a soup and on a burger. Good beer selection with about 38 taps, that are not all IPAs and DIPAs. (two of the 40 have been Evil Overlord Co. beers, which to me dont count as craft)
Lovely hostess Sierra, great waiter Adamand phenomenal bartender Zoey, but themanager made me feel uncomfortable sotheyre minus one star just because of him.HUGE restaurant, lots and lots of big boothstables and chairs. The food is good, cocktailsand beer selection is great!
I wanted a spicier pulled-pork sandwich, and the waiter made sure it happend. I wanted a drink with gin, and the waiter mixed me one of the best drinks I ever had. The Tribe made it to the World Series, so they got us some Champaign to celebrate. Awesome place, cant wait to come back
After our party of 8 was told there would be an hour wait at Ruby Tuesdays, we decided to try Craft Breww City which was across the street. I will say that the atmosphere is fun and their bar is extensive but their service. is. terrible. Our waitress was MIA most of the time. By the time our waitress came to our table to order, we were starving. Our partys food was brought haphazardly - two or three entrees at a time by different servers. There must have been a huge disconnect with the kitchen and the servers - my husband never received his entrée. By the time our waitress came to check on us, my husband stated that he did not receive his food. She seemed surprised and apologized and went to check the kitchen. When she returned her reply was your entrée was accidentally dropped out of the window. Im not sure what our waitress was doing in the meantime, but every 5 minutes she would come back and say, Ill go check. This was about a 30 minute ordeal before a manager happened to stop by our table to check on our dinner. He apologized and within 2 minutes, magically brought my husband his entrée, which was a sandwich by the way, not steak au pouvre . By this time our entire party was finished with our meals while he was just starting. She did not charge us for the entrée, which was the least she could do. Our total time at the restaurant was 90 minutes. If you were going for drinks and maybe appetizers or if you have a different waitress I only hope your experience is better than ours. We will not be returning to this establishment.
This was a very nice place I will return, I didn’t get a chance to play pool due to njoyable engaging laughter and talking with my co-workers, so next time our hostess (Cheri) was very accommodating and on “Q”, thanks Hun, only one thing I did care for, when I received my food my fries weren’t hot. Yet I’ll give that a pass this time. The overall setting was really kool.

2022-02-15This was our first time there last night and everything we had was really good. The service was excellent, we had Kim as our waitress and she was very good. The calamari was surprisingly good, the chicken Marsala was good as well. The upstairs is open with live band, which was entertaining. The cosmopolitan was made to perfection. The Brussels sprout’s were ok.. if you like the char smoke taste you would like them.

2021-10-08Sign says “honest food” and we were very honestly not impressed. Chips and salsa seem like they came from Kroger, lemonade tastes like powdered mix, and the margarita was “just okay” according to my friend. My friend ordered a strawberry drink, took a sip, and her tongue went numb. She is allergic to cherries and they subbed out an ingredient for cherry juice without letting her know.Server was also “just okay” - he didn’t give us happy hour prices and did not come back frequently. This place got two stars because they were opened when the Starbucks and Einstein Bagels wasn’t.Update: we did speak to the manager, he graciously took a few things off the bill and seemed very considerate.

2022-06-02Today is my Boyfriend and I ‘s first visit at craft brew city, as we are new to town! When we seated, we were told that they were out of a few items, upon ordering she came back and told us they were out of both of our entree’s. Long wait times, for having 2 bartenders on with only 10 people at the bar rail. There are bugs flying around, not sure if one flew in our salsa or not… but, decent beer selection. Flatbread came out a little burn(due to a new training staff member), they did offer to place it and she took it off our bill. We didn’t get our onion rings that we ordered. But she did offer to buy us another round of beverages and we accepted 😀 At least she was very pleasant!

2022-04-25I held my rehearsal dinner here with about 70 people, and had a great experience. The space they gave us worked really well, and held all my guests comfortably. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the servers were absolutely fantastic. Despite our group’s size, they took great care of us. Joseph was great to work with, and I would absolutely recommend this venue for anyone looking for a casual private event venue.

2021-10-17The best place open when all else is closed, as far as food goes. Ordered the philly cheesesteak. Toasted roll with cold barely unfrozen concoction of meat and hard cheese. The fries and onion rings, requested, well done, were fine, though. The service, eh?

2021-07-24Love that this place re-opened! We sat outdoors at a pretty black metal table under the glowing lights but even the inside of the restaurant gave you an outdoor feel with the many big wall openings with an un-obstructed view of outdoors and a soft breeze blowing in. It was a busy Friday night and seemed liked such a happy crowd. Even the folks working there seemed happy and unstressed. Good beer choices and creative food in such a large space yet feeling cozy at the same time at the busy corner of Orchard Lake/12 mile. They seemed to have plenty of servers and ours was an expert named Craig who was a delightful person. I had a shawarma grilled sandwich with chicken and pickles and garlic sauce. It came with super crispy fries that had a batter coating of something delicious and a fresh dill slice. The menu is large and creative and makes you want to keep coming back for more and we will be for sure.
