TLDR; Beztak management has no record of the signed storage unit lease agreement they’ve been charging me for and threw away all of my belongings.I can’t even begin to describe the amount of grieving I have done over the past week. We signed a lease agreement to use storage unit #118 in the basement of our building and have been continually charged to use the unit. I went downstairs last week to retrieve some items and found our entire unit had been emptied. We have lost thousands of dollars worth of belongings, including family heirlooms from my grandmother and absolutely every sentimental item from our wedding.I went into the leasing office to ask where our belongings were. We have a lease agreement to use the unit and they have continually charged us for it. We have kept up on every single payment they have charged us, I thought there was no way they could have cleared our things.I was informed that they sent an email out to the community to receive a tag to claim your unit, and if you did not claim your unit your items would be thrown away. This email was sent April 1st, marked as a “first and final notice”, and required residents to receive a tag by April 3rd. We missed their “first and final notice” so all of our belongings were thrown away. Only I received this email, my wife did not.I was in absolute shock. Beztak regularly posts flyers on our doors to notify us of important information, including when rental payments were switching to online-only or when they required us to re-register our cars to use our carport. They even send us text messages to notify us of important emails, like just last week when they were redoing the parking lots and needed us to move our cars. Why didn’t they post any flyers about this? It seems like an odd change from their regular practices. I have spoken to over a dozen residents, both in our building and in others, who have verified that no flyers were posted about the storage unit clear out. I toured multiple buildings myself and saw no flyers posted. However, the employees in the leasing office insist that they did post flyers. When my wife asked for a copy of our lease agreement for our storage unit she was told they didn’t have one and “if you had a lease agreement for the storage unit, the charge would be shown on your account”. My wife asked her to bring up our account, and sure enough, there are months of charges marked “storage” throughout our statement. At this point, the manager was called over to talk to my wife. They flipped through every page of our file and had no record of our storage unit addendum. They also had no copy of our carport addendum, which they have also been charging us for monthly. My wife asked for our notice of disposal and she was told they weren’t required to give us one. How can you charge us for a storage unit, misplace our lease agreement, then claim you have no duty to provide an eviction notice and notice of disposal? They did not display one ounce of compassion for the horrible mistake that had happened. They have continued to insist that the email they sent was all they were legally required to do. Meanwhile, my wife and I have been grieving the loss of countless irreplaceable items. When I went down to see our empty unit again I saw one of our Christmas ornaments and one photo from our photo album on the floor of our unit. How did a single photo from a photo album that was in a sealed box get there? How did an ornament that was carefully wrapped in paper and in a sealed box get on the floor? I have now spoken to three residents who witnessed the people clearing units opening boxes and choosing certain items to place on the washers and dryers rather than the dumpster.I would not, under any circumstance, recommend this management company to anyone. They have lost all of my trust and show no compassion for their residents. They have shown no interest in speaking with us or explaining what went wrong. They have only deflected blame onto us. Continue your apartment search elsewhere, please. You’ll thank me.
Leasing can’t be bothered. They make it clear that all they want is money. Aside from the fact that they send out eviction notices every month on the 1st if rent isn’t paid (due by the 5th), they sent out a notice the process was starting for me 6 times during my year stay when my rent was paid.Further, when I moved out. I was in constant communication with leasing about it. I was given a prorated rent since I was not staying the whole month of December and I paid my prorated rent with a check. After moving out leasing is now charging me the rest of the entire rent and a late fee. When I called about this the property agent (not on site by the way) guaranteed me she would mark my call as urgent and they would get back to me. It has been 3.5 days with no call and their phones are on do not disturb now so no call can get through
DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY THIS PLACE! I was set to move in September 1st went to pick up keys, spoke with Michelle (who has the ugliest attitude) she stated she saw the unit it was great hand the keys and we left to go do a first day walk through.1. Countertops were completely different colors2.everything in the kitchen was dirty(yes I understand you always clean up the first day but this was ridiculously dirty)3. The carpet was filthy, had bugs and patches missing(when brought to their attention they stated it is not their responsibility to replace the carpet, LIE when new tenants move in the carpet is supposed to be replaced or at least shampooed )4. The ceiling was leaking5. The square feet we were shown and told in the beginning during the virtual tower was wrong! The layout floor plan wasn’t even the same. They had no solution to help fix these problems they didn’t care just kept saying it’s nothing we can do we can move you to another unit but it would be November 21st (my move in was September 1st)Michelle rude little tail just gave so much attitude
The absolute worse mistake of my life was moving here . If your looking to move to the crossing run and never look back . These apartments are all Poorly renovated and noisy . If you like a nice peaceful place to come home to , just turn around because I’m waken up everyday by either screaming running stomping kids or never ending construction. Maintenance is non existent, no parking , trash dump pilled to the sky filled with rats . It’s so awful no one deserves this.
This Property used to be managed by pepper pike & they did a terrible job keeping up with the place. Half of these reviews are based off their management skills which were terrible! In december beztak management came in took over and a complete 360, the trash still is a mess however thats the residents fault the residents here are lazy and just throw their trash anywhere. The new office staff IS SUPER NICE & 100% more professional. If you are willing to be understanding during this new takeover i will highly recommend you live here.
If “you can’t walk and chew gum at the same time” was a person it would be the Crossing. Once they start focusing on one thing everything else gets over looked. Lately they have been getting new signage around the property, but what does that mean? Maintenance requests get ignored. Public waste stations go unchecked for months. The pool hasn’t been opened for 3 years! Management needs a serious change as soon as possible, current management obviously does not care about the residents here at. all.
This place is awful. The property management is poor. The lack of communication is terrible. They constantly lie and give out false information to get people to apply and sign a lease. The parking lot is raggedy. Very poorly run. Would not recommend. Do yourself a favor and apply elsewhere. These places are overpriced for the quality. Very disappointing. This review is based on the new management company not the previous one. My experience is recent 2/2022.
In a case of hitting two birds with one stone, I was going to make an inquiry about living at C.A.C. while delivering a meal to a staff member, only to be treated rudely by him for simply suggesting to him that he instruct drivers to come to the clubhouse when delivering his meal, since the GPS is seemed inaccurate. He shouted at me, Dont come back here again!. I dont think hed appreciate his Mom being spoken to that way and I didnt necessarily have to deliver his meal. Crossings At Canton, youve lost a potential tenant because of him!
I have not had any heat for a week. Last week I was told someone would be coming the same day to fix it and obviously no one came. Spoke to someone today and was told that no one could fix it because the temperature on the thermostat is not 60 or below. So basically me and my 8 month old baby are supposed to freeze until they feel like they should come repair the furnace. Then in the same sentence of the girl telling me it can’t be fixed because it’s not at a certain temperature, she tries to tell me my heat, in fact, IS WORKING because it has not fell below 60 degrees, when obviously it is not. I should not have to use my oven for heat. This new management is a mess.
New management is screwing us over!! On December 21st 2021 the DTE was shut off in all the buildings! We have no lights in each building and no hot water and was told we will not be compensated because it’s too many units says the leasing agent. We’re definitely going to court!
Where do I start, this is by far the most trash community and property management company I’ve ever seen.1. There office is the most unpredictable, unreliable people. All they care about is collecting their little $15/hr pay. Anytime their is a problem they just direct you to calling corporate because they never handle your problems. Like closing the office at unexpected times and no forewarning.2. The properties are all cheaply put together. They look nice until you live in it and realize that they literally cut every corner to save a couple of $$$. They do not care for their tenants.3. Maintenance crew must of been hired off the streets with zero experience. They cut every corner as well and do patch jobs with very poor equipment/material4. We have been without a pool, basketball court and volleyball net for 3 YEARS. Yes we have contacted the office many times to get a time when to expect things to be fixed and replaced. Been told nothing but lies!5. There was no plausible reason for why our rent has increased each year either. They up charge their rent and steal money to end up not even fixing or cleaning up the community. Where there is literally trash all over the road.I’m sure I could keep going but let this review guide you in the right direction of NOT LIVING HERE unless you don’t care to be disappointed and lied to time after time!
I have requested for a storage unit 2 and 1/2 months ago, this is the state and condition of storage units and common laundry area. I moved in here three months ago , they gave a wrong mailbox key I have asked for the right key 4 times now and still didn’t get one.The pure negligence and inability to adhere to work requests is what makes living in this place a scarring experience. They say they are transitioning into a better place but it is clear their efforts are zero towards the transition.Stay away from this place !(Reply: what claims ? Aren’t the pictures proof enough ? )
We lost everything there due to a fire. They put all this money in renovations and failed to put up fire walls so the fire quickly spread to other townhomes. The fire happened March 8, 2019. I have been given the run around by them and the property management company Pepper Pike. I never received my security deposit and they never turned over a copy of my 2018 renewed lease (we initially moved in June 2017).There has been a great deal of shady business practices at this complex. I also left a review on Facebook and they pretended to want to help but never did. Don’t believe the canned responses.
Tried signing a lease with them , they do not answer phones. Do not communicate what is going on with the application and haven’t provided an estimate move in date and pushed the move in date that I selected online. This is my experience just during the application process. Can’t imagine what the residents go through
THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! Do not I repeat do not waste your time nor money. The apartments do not look the same as they do online/virtual tours. I was supposed to move in on 9/1 and the apartment was disgusting it looked like someone moved out the day before, I had to demand for my lease to be cancelled it was no way I could stay at that filthy place with an infant. Michelle advise me when I arrived they did a walk through of the apartment prior to us arriving when I took the maintenance to the apartment to see the disgusting place she said they didn’t do a walk through because they are low staff. Michelle and Heather are very rude and do not want to help nor did not apologize for the inconvenience. And they have not refunded me for the first month they made me pay when signing the lease. And are giving me the run around of where the money is at. If I can give less than 1 star I would. They are trash!!!!
I have no hot water & heat & it is the winter. Because they crossings got bought by Beztak, the old emergency maintenance number does not deal with the crossings anymore. The new number on the crossings website has an option to call the emergency maintenance number but it rings 2 times & says the mailbox is full. I know a few other people that live here & they haven’t had hot water or heat for days.
Property is very unprofessional and lazy. I’ve had 3 packages stolen from the mailroom in the last two months, all delivered by different mail carriers.Property won’t implement a system to ensure residents receive packages. Multiple packages lie on the floor of the mailroom ripped open without any of the package contents. Property has been fully aware of this issue for months but continues to place blame on delivery drivers.Property management has told me that the cameras outside and inside the mailroom do not work. The fact that the cameras don’t record confuses me because how do you keep placing blame on every FedEx, Amazon, UPS driver and etc . Management doesn’t warn residents by sending out mass emails of the common reoccurrence of theft. I find it very hard to believe every delivery driver isn’t placing hundreds of packages per week in parcel pending boxes, ripping up multiple packages inside the mailroom and taking package contents , or simply keeping them on their truck and marking it as delivered. Property fails to take responsibility when packages are being stolen feet away from where they sit in the leasing office all day. Property is severely understaffed for the amount of residents on the property.Management focuses more on renting out apartments and townhouses rather than fixing the large amount of unresolved maintenance issues, unopened amenities, residents dumping trash and other building and property issues.
I recently moved in to one of there town homes, and I love it!! Bianca has been so helpful throughout the whole process, we had a few things wrong with the unit and she made sure maintenance was there the next day, the problems are now fixed. She sat down with us and helped us understand the lease agreement and made things a lot less stressful and most places would normally just throw down the lease and say sign. If you are interested in this apartment definitely ask for Bianca.
As a doordash driver delivering to this complex is difficult. One thing I noticed is this complex is really large, first thing not enough stop signs, people race and pull out on front of you. Secondly some arrow signs to show you the way out an out.. And lastly very dark when your making deliveries at night. Seems like just to large for one company to handle.
My roommates and I moved in last weekend, and were a little resistant at first due to reviews and pictures. Bianca in the leasing office was amazing and made us reassured that things would work well. She was so helpful and answered all the questions we didn’t even think of. Beautiful apartment and she made sure all of our issues with the unit were fixed within a day!
Ive lived here for a year now and I will not be renewing. Multiple packages were stolen from the mail room, and an electric guitar was stolen from my storage unit. Building door has been broken the whole time Ive lived here. Management is based in Ohio and couldnt care less. Make sure you read the lease carefully because they will auto-renew your lease for another 12 months unless you give them 2 months notice that you are leaving.
With all the reviews about the potholes you’d think the management company would respond by saying they would fix them or even attempt but nothing, no word about fixing it at all. It’s ridiculous, save your money and a lot of stress and look elsewhere until they get it together.
I literally never leave reviews, but when I tell you this has been one of the most frustrating rental experiences, I had my sink break multiple times. Places emergency work order and had to go with out using my sink for 3 days!! As you can imagine, my sink was full of dirty dishes and I couldn’t cook dinner for my kids. So we finally got our work order filled after having to go down to the office! Here we are once again I placed a order that my sink is leaking all over my floor and the so called 24 hr maintenance hasn’t come yet! I’m so tired…
By far the worst experience. I was scheduled to move in & no one was in the office. I received a call from Michelle whom reported they tried to call me in which I never received a call. I had called them all week before my move in date but no one called me back even after I’ve left voicemails. They didn’t try to contact me by email either. I was told my unit was not ready & that they are not sure when I can move in. Literally with everything in a U-Haul on the date of move in & nowhere to go. I was told that there was something with COVID & they all left the office today & they haven’t done any work to my until because of the power outage. At the same time, I should’ve been notified way ahead of time as now I have to spend even more money to prolonged the usage of a U-Haul & find a place to stay for however long. They have no offered any courtesy of taking money off of my rent or anything as I was told it was nothing they could do. They are very unprofessional & do not communicate properly. Devastated & highly upset is an understatement. I wish I never signed the lease here.
I have no real qualms with the unit I live in, but the main roads around the apartment complex are falling into extreme disrepair to the point I have genuine concern about driving in certain stretches. There are several potholes as deep as 8 inches. I worry that the upcoming winter will make the holes worse and eventually Ill pay the price for it.Now with this small stretch of unseasonable warmth, it would be a good time to at least patch these holes temporarily (HINT HINT)
I have been living at the crossings for the past year and a half. All I can say is they really know how to hook you into this place -- they sell you on beautiful new renovations and community resources such as a brand new pool, basketball area, and volleyball court. They even bought pool chairs to set out last year to post a picture on their website to make it look like it was open but in reality it hasnt been fixed in 5 whole years and it has never been opened. Their newly renovated homes they portray were rushed being done because everything is falling apart -- bathroom fans dont work so theres mold, the bathtub paint is always chipping everywhere, the sinks and drains never work properly, they cut corners on every aspect just to save some money. And for maintenance, even IF they do show up, its months later and you probably already tried to fix the problem yourself. Honestly I could go on and on but I think you get the point, its a trap, save yourself the time and money.
This place is beyond terrible to live at … I’ve been complaining for a year about the noisy neighbors and nothin has been done about it but told to call the police every night which I shouldn’t have to. Nothin gets fixed, it’s embarrassing having people over because not only do they damn near loose a tire trying to get through the complex because of the big holes but the trash is unbelievable and unsanitary. I wouldn’t even pay for a dog to live here
Very disappointed on property managements late response on recent water damage in my apartment.Due to the water damage (leakage from the wall and window when it rains) I moved within the complex to a newer-remodeled unit. Even though I was moving to the same floor plan due to water damage, they still up-charged me the rent and I had to sign a new lease.HOWEVER, SAME WATER DAMAGE happened in the the current unit. Dont let the nice appearance fool you.To me, it looks like property management does not care about the building maintenance. I requested to fix the problem over a week ago and asked about the availability of other units. They have not responded to my email over a week... Very poor service...
So this is my 4th post about The Crossings at Canton and nothing has been repaired my original last request for work order was put in May they sent someone out here on July 7th about my clogged tub I told him I fixed the issue he said okay. I said is that all your here for he said yes that was the only work order he had. Then I go to the office and speak to Michelle Houk the leasing Manager on July 20th. She tells me they closed out all my maintance request said the work was done on July 7th. I told her no one even stepped foot into my home and did anything. I put in a request about clogged tub, the electrical issue in my brick wall. My floor cracking and lifting. They sent someone here about the tub and nothing else. These issues have been going on since I moved here. She said she was going to leave a note for the maintenance supervisor informing them the repairs were not done. No one has come to our home. I called the main office all Saturday July 24th they dont answer the phone returns messages. My laundry room is now getting water from somewhere which seems to be an that was there before because the wood on the baseboards is rotten and mold inside the furnancecis rusted around the bottom. This leak in the laundry started a month after we moved in back in Dec and jas never been fixed they just patch it up. The owner responds to the reviews telling me to reach out. I call, talk to people in person, complete requests online through the tenant portal and then still do nothing. This place is a SHAM!!! This place is horrible.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Very Greedy Owners. Moving out is a Hassle. I would have given them 0 starts if it allowed me here. There are so many reasons why not to choose the apartment. Please take some time to read all the reviews before you consider the Apartment. Dont get deceived by the way the apartment looks or by the staff behavior before you sign the lease.1. Un professional Staff - They would never respond on time unless if you owe some money2. Non trust worthy - They would never honor their words. Do not trust their verbal promises. Always have a substantial proofs like email or a letter.3. False Promises - When I was signing on the lease they said that they are remodeling the community and increased the rental price. They said that the pool will be ready in the next couple of months and i have never seen any progress on it even after a year it is still closed. I still think he would be telling the same thing for the new customers.4. Be very careful while moving out - I gave them the heads up that i will not extend the lease since i was not staying in Michigan anymore. I told that clearly in the email (2 months before the end of lease). They claim that since i did not sign the lease documents my lease is automatically renewed for the next year (How could I sign a lease document which i never received, and I also clearly stated in the email that i will never extend my lease for next year). Even though fault is not on my side I requested their manager to be considerate about my situation he Said he was fine with it, but after couple of months after I moved out he said there is nothing he could do now and sent my bill to collection department. If he could have told me earlier then i could have done something. The only good thing about the community is their flooring plan is good which obviously comes with a Price.I would NEVER recommend this community to anyone.
I wish I could give zero stars.I am so fed up with this place. I thought the new management would be better but obviously not. Someone by the name of Erica in the leasing office advised me that someone would be out to fix my heat but of course it has not been fixed yet. I guess I’m supposed to live in the cold with my 8 month old baby until they decide they feel like coming to fix it? PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.
I was already fed up with the trash situation here and now I’m facing another issue with packages coming from Fedex. It looks like someone is stealing my packages. No idea where my packages are. This will be my 4th package that I’m missing. It’s so frustrating as there is no camera around so cannot find out who stole it. Apartment community has to take some steps and review the delivery protocol with fedex people.
Ive been living here at the crossings for about 7 years. While every place has its ups and downs Ill say every persons experience differs from the next. My favorite part of living here are the spacious town homes!!! My master bedroom its bigger than a hotel room!!! I also love the maintenance crew. They always have been pleasant and helpful to me. Michelle was nice enough to come back and help me find my things from my old place after I transferred to a newly updated home. Im grateful for people like this that dont mind taking the time out to show that they care.
I have lived at the crossings for about a year and a half now. When I first toured and moved in I thought the complex looked great and the units were well renovated. That was far from the case. Any renovations that have been done were careless, done quickly and not completely finished. Half of my floors weren’t level, I’ve had to call maintenance multiple times for plumbing, my shower door fell off only for them to tell me they don’t know how to reattach it and dropped off a shower bar too large for the standing shower. The pool has never opened, residents who have lived here longer than I have were told two years ago it would open. Want to get ahold of the office or maintenance?? GOOD LUCK! Living here has been so stressful and I would not recommend it. The ONLY plus is location and why it got one stars.
Yes, when you are going through the move in process the staff is very helpful and attentive. But after you move in, they could care less about you. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. So if you ever experience any problems (mine included all the washers and dryers not working, air conditioning going out for days at a time in July, only my building losing power, water leaking through the walls, oven breaking) they will take way too long to resolve or wont even get resolved. Even moving out was a hassle with them. I paid pro rated rent and they charged me a late fee for not paying my rent in full and legal fees to evict me after I had already moved out. Getting that resolved took way longer than it should (it shouldnt have happened in the first place) and they wouldnt email or call me back for over a week!My advice is to not get tricked into living here. The rent is too expensive to live in these conditions. And the staff is very unprofessional and literally useless after you move in.If they answered phone calls and emails like they respond to all of these reviews, they could probably solve half of their problems, but they wont!
My roommates and I recently moved into to the Townhouses at the Crossings at Canton and our experience has been wonderful so far. Bianca was very helpful when we were signing our lease and answered all of our questions and concerns. There were some issues in our place and she made sure maintenance would be there by the next day to check them out. If you are thinking of checking this place out and need someone to talk to, Bianca is your person! She was the most helpful person and made sure we fully understood the requirements of our lease.
I’m really not one to publicly bash anything but do not waste your time or money on these apartments, they have terrible communication with their tenants, i had a staff member ask me if they were trying to get money out of me, because they were. maintenance team is also super unprofessional, especially for people coming into your apartment. about 80% of the time they wouldn’t come when they were scheduled to. i wouldn’t be able to count the amount of times i’ve seen 3+ cop cars at a time, even stationed behind the dumpsters at 11pm once. super sketchy, save yourself the energy lol
Moved out several months ago but just remembered how terrible of an experience I had.Apartments looked great at first, then it started falling apart and nobody was answering any of my calls or emails. If somebody did answer it always happened to be not the person I needed so they took my number and i would never get a call back. Several times we had construction workers coming in to fix things without any notice and they never cleaned up their mess. My stuff would be out of my cabinets and there would be dust all over the place. Half the amenities werent done while I was there, which shouldve been done with the amount we were paying monthly. There was also always broken glass outside where they were doing renovations so be careful with your dogs.My neighbors were terrible. A very rude lady kept vandalizing my truck with paint and the office did absolutely nothing about it. Also everyone thought it was okay to park in our dedicated carport spot so we never got to use it. I wouldnt recommend using the basement storage, as when I lived there some kids broke in and stole everyones stuff down there and vandalized a bunch of stuff. Also while I was there our washer and dryers quit working so we had to take our clothes to a laundromat for over a month. The final straw was during moving out. We completely forgot to give the 2 months notice(we gave 1.5 month) that is required. The lease said we would have to pay an extra months rent because of this and that was fine. Except when we called they insisted that our lease got renewed for 12 months and there was nothing we could do. We knew this wasnt correct. So we got an attorney and they stopped responding to both of us. My attorney and I sent over 10 calls, voicemails, emails, documents etc with no response. Then I get sent another bill saying the only way out of the lease is to buyout(which is 6 months rent). Again I knew this wasnt correct. Maintenance also never responded to me to do a move out inspection so I printed off the form and did it by myself. Needless to say I won and paid one month(like the lease stated) but its just irritating that they are trying to take advantage of people like that. Shame on you guys!
Toured a one bedroom unit today, saw both the renovated and the standard version of the one bedroom! Both were just as nice as they looked online. Highly considering moving in here based off the helpful and friendly staff! They made me feel so welcome and answered all of my questions and really worked with my budget! Most of these bad reviews are because the apartment recently had a change in management so some old bad reviews are still present. Go take a look for yourself, ask for Taylor!Update After Moving in:After being here for a few months now I don’t have the same excitement I did before and changed my rating from 5 stars to 2. The management is hardly around to help with anything, and I have maintenance issues from months ago that still have yet to be addressed. My dishwasher floods frequently for some unknown reason (even though we’ve never used it) and when letting one of the managers Heather know she never even responded. I also have had issues with people parking in my assigned carport that’s included in our rent. When trying to call the towing company listed on the property I was told by the company they don’t tow for the complex anymore. I also made heather aware of this issue and today we are now being told carports will be rented out for $40 additional dollars per month on a first come first serve basis. I like the apartments and the features, it honestly is nice for the price. The management isn’t great though and the prices are sure to increase. I don’t see myself staying here long.
Rent is high in this place, and the justification provided for this is a recent swath of renovations and upgrades. The quality of the renovations is subpar, though. The impression left is that of a thin veneer used to hide old and unpleasant things. Probably the best work done is in the kitchen, where the cabinets and counters are outstanding. However the electrical work, the paint, and the fixtures are all quickly or lazily executed. I feel as though the contractors who did the work ripped the complex off and the company is passing the costs on to the tenets. The laundry machines are constantly broken and run by a third party service that is very slow to act when alerted. Many benefits are included, such as a pool and fitness center as well as bike tracks and a clubhouse-- but of course most of these things are shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Staff in the office are hard to reach by phone and slow to respond. Maintenance is quick and mostly effective. Everybody is friendly. The buildings themselves are prone to mold in the basements. Overall, I think somebody with enough money can be happy if they move in for the right reasons but the general impact left by these units is not to my preference.
Awfull place to live. Ive been here for 5 years with each year getting worse and worse. I rent a 2 bedrrom and when I first moved in i was paying $900. I am currently paying over $1300 a month to live hear. Now the new owner has come up with a great cash grab idea to sell car port parking spots even though where I currently park my apt unit number is listed right above. They want an additional $40 per month. I already have trouble with other cars parking in my spot. Why would I pay extra money just to come home and find a car parked in my spot. Renavations are never ending. Contruction can start as early as 8:00 am and in some cases go on until 10:00pm. All the amenities they entice you with are never accessable. I havent been able to use the pool in 4 years. The list goes on and on and on.
Worst experience of my life! They are completely scamming people! The places are way smaller than what they say on the site/tour and my fiancé almost fell through our shower the 2nd night in our place it’s just horrible, the leasing office attitudes are horrible and absolutely disrespectful (do not work with Michelle or even ask her a question she’s rude)
My experience has already been terrible and i havent even moved in yet. Management is terrible every time i try to call regarding my apartment there is always this Michelle who picks up the phone rude EVERY TIME, last time we talked she tried to tell me how much I really make because she apparently used to do the job i do now, when it was literally there in her face she just didnt want to believe until, i had to hit her with some facts. Never answers the phone, never return phone calls. Without the residents theyll be without a job. they need to get their life right. Bay the only nice one i meet with. Michelle needs to be fired shes rude and always cuts me off when speaking to her like shes annoying with me contacting her. probably wont move on good thing for that 30 days.
My daughter and her friends were looking for their first apartment. After reading these reviews, I knew I had to be there. The leasing woman sealed the deal.We signed!!!BIANCA .. you are amazing, very thorough, if weren’t for you and your confidence, we surely would of moved on to another place. Thank you for reassuring this mom. The girls are extremely happy too!
Management has been in a steep decline. I’ve reached out to the leasing office numerous times with no response. They have it posted that office hours are from 12-4 on Sundays, but pike management says they don’t do Sunday office hours. Seems to be a communication issue. Either way, it’s causing a real issue for tenants. Laundry set up isn’t ideal either. The laundry utilizes a special card that can only be reloaded with money in the gym of the leasing office, and to make matters worse, if you work and do not get home by the time they close the leasing office you cannot reload your card. I’m guessing the expectation is for tenants to leave work early to load money on their cards so that they may do laundry in their building; a convenience that is represented to Prospective tenants who visit. Additionally, they refuse to fix one of the two washing machines in our building (building 44), and unfortunately the one that does work has a tendency to start and then stop the cycle 5 minutes in, eating the money you’ve spent and leaving you with dirty clothes. Again, an issue that has been mentioned to leasing, but we have not been credited for the failures of the machines they utilize. Side note, if you move into building 44, purchase a good pair of rain boots because the basement where the storage lockers are, as well as the dysfunctional laundry, floods quite frequently. You honestly would not be able to tell that there have been 14 million dollars in capital improvements; it’s laughable. We are still waiting for the carport Re-painting to be finished so that we may utilize the carport we pay for; the project was supposed to be finished over two weeks ago; I don’t expect that anyone will be compensated for the unnecessarily long inconvenience that this project is causing. And from the looks of things, nobody from the contractor has been out to pick up the items they’ve left, nor has crossings indicated what’s going on. It’s also worth mentioning that crossings attempted to make existing tenants pay extra for the use of the newly painted carports, carports we were granted in our leases without additional cost, but after the lashing out they retracted that and will allow us to continue to use our carports, but who knows when that’ll be. In reality, this review is the only way to hold the apartment complex accountable, and hopefully, will illicit a response to our attempts to reach them. I guess we will see...
Would give 0 star if possible based on the behavior of the staff with me for past 3-4 weeks.Rude representatives and worse staff ever (Will tell you to return your calls but would never do).I have been trying to contact the property manager and Leasing Manager for 3-4 weeks to resolve 1 issue in my lease. Whenever I call them they say that they are not available. I have tried to call them at 10 am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm on working days. None of that time property manager is available. They do not even return to my calls as well.Packages gets stolen and the representatives do not want to do anything about it.In last 2 weeks I lost about 4-5 packages of mine which were delivered to the mail room and they were just not there. When I called the leasing office to let them notify about this the lady tried to transfer my call to someone else. I was trying to explain it to her that what is happening and she just transferred my call to someone else and didnt even listened to what I was saying. They say that we have a locker system but I never get any information about them that if any of my packages have been delivered in the lockers or not.The leasing staff would lure you to get an apartment here but when you do they just dont care anymore that whether you are getting what you need or not. So my overall experience is just awful here and would not recommend anyone to stay here if they order stuff online because 70% of the times you are not going to receive the packages and you have to keep talking to your shippers about your shipments as the staff dont care about you anymore.
I went to visit a friend at these apartments. Nice apartment. I was there two days after we got all that snow. And I was stuck in the snow for a good hour and a half in the parking lot. No plowing was done there no walks shoveled up to the apartment buildings. And the apartment buildings are so poorly marked I parked in one spot had to walk halfway through that complex trying to find my friends apartment. And then I couldnt find my car when I left there cuz nothing is marked good. I walked her all that snow for a good 45 minutes trying to find my car.
Ive lived here for a year and its been great. Maintenance staff has been responsive to my issues, office staff have been helpful and polite. Some of the buildings are still being remodeled on the outside, and the pool isnt up yet but inside my updated apartment was clean, beautiful, and had nice brand new appliances. There have been glitches and issues here or there and outside renovations have taken longer than I expected, but all in all its been good. Initially I was concerned because of all the negative reviews but I think you have to see and judge for yourself.
Units are cute, but the renovations were rushed and poorly done. No one ever has a mask on in the leasing office, i’ve tried to get ahold of the maintenance department or a supervisor at least 20 times to no avail, work orders for repair disappear and they clearly don’t have enough crew to maintain their buildings. At least i have a big bedroom and “modern” kitchen 🤷🏻♂️
I would give negative stars if possible. Rudest crowd of incompetent staffs that sit and play at the office all day. They may appear warm in the beginning, but once you sign the lease, their attitude changes completely. Never respond to any email or phone calls after. Terrible maintenance all year. Do not ever rent here if you want any kind of support.
I was very impressed with the customer service that I received when I applied for the apartments! They were very professional and efficient! I was so pleased and happy with my brand new apartment! I definitely recommend these apartments for anyone that is looking for a home. My apartment was ready exactly when she told me it was gonna be ready and I was able to move on time!! Thank you again for your excellent customer service 🥰
I had a great experience working with the leasing office here at The Crossings At Canton. Al took me on a tour who was extremely cool. Dia helped make sure I had everything for move in date. Bianca the Sales Manager made my moving experience great! I am happy I decided to move here and I referred my brother who will be moving in next week.
I would’ve really liked to give this place 5 stars, because the apartments are beautiful and fit what I am looking for. I have been unable to go through with the move in process because I can’t get in contact with the leasing office at all! I’ve called everyday for over a week, left voicemails, and emailed three different workers and still no response. I’m starting to believe getting in here wouldn’t be worth it anyways because when I call I also click the other options for maintenance and still can’t get through to anyone. That just lets me know if I were to move in I would be left with a broke sink, toilet, or whatever needs to be fixed.
My friend just moved OUT from Crossings and I cannot believe the things she tells me about what it was like living there.-Flooding and then maintenance brushes it off and says “others have it worse” 😳-ABSENT office staff & property management. She needed to contact the office re: how to return her keys and was never reached back out to despite her 10+ attemptsThe list goes on but I’ve got better things to do. SO GLAD SHES OUT OF CROSSINGS AT CANTON 👍🏼 BEWARE YALL!
I went to the office with a five-pound puppy in my arms and The person working in the apartment looked at me weird. Its an apartment where people can live with dogs, but they dont seem to like dogs. I visited nine apartments office today, and this was the first apartment I felt that they hate dogs, so I thought I shouldnt live in this apartment, so I searched the apartment on Google now, and the reviews were not good, and its not surprising to me. Thank you to those who left reviews.
I called today and spoke with MICHELLE who was incredibly RUDE! I am a supervisor in customer service and that conversation was completely useless. She didnt know anything I dont know with an attitude is ridiculous. She even said Im not trying to be rude well you are! Girl I can go spend $1200+ a month somewhere else. No thank you. Deleting this application from there database now.
Greedy owners, tried charging $40 extra bucks for an assigned parking spot I was told was mine at beginning of lease, new washing machines at double the price cost 5 bucks to do one load of laundry now, the maintenance department is a joke, I’ve called everyday the last week to have someone fix my toilet, I’m about to have an actual plumber come fix it and send them a bill for it. This place is a joke, if I could leave a no start review I would
Scheduled a tour a month out. Tried to call to confirm the day before but no one answered. When I arrived there was no staff and I was told there was nothing available even though their website was showing availability. This place is a joke, if this is how they run this place for prospecting residents I can’t imagine how bad it must be if you live here. Dont waste your time.
Its nice but all the outlets wont stop having to be reset everyday bc they go off in my kitchen and the redecorating they did to the apartment was poor our shower was painted over to be clean same with alot of other things the light bulbs were covered in paint barley lighting up the room
Have you noticed that all the five star reviews are recent, and follow the same format, such as mentioning the leasing agents by name? These are fake reviews. The Crossings has got their review score up by almost a full star with these reviews. Stay far away. Update to my original review: maintenance men are currently forcing their way into our apartment, doing “renovations” that the city mandated because over 100 apartments went uninspected before they were rented out to new tenants, including me. This is 9 months after I’ve moved in, for the record. The following is the original review that I left at Thanksgiving of last year, over 6 months ago.We were shown an apartment that we liked. After signing the lease, we were given an apartment that was not the one we saw, instead it was a unit in the back of the complex that wasn’t close to being done. After complaining and waiting for about 3 weeks, we were given a new apartment. The second day we lived there, our ceiling leaked and almost collapsed. That was 2 months ago and there’s still a 2 foot by 4 foot hole in our ceiling. Tonight, our apartment just started leaking from under the walls. Happy thanksgiving from the crossings at canton, the worst living experience I’ve ever had. I pay $1430 a month to live here.PS: Don’t believe the comment they left on this page! I’ve called them a million times and we didn’t get anyone out to my apartment until I left this review. And it still isn’t done. We have now had a second leak and the glass in our oven just randomly shattered.
I did encounter two very professional and helpful young women which made me want to put in an application. I came back to look at another unit a day later and encountered a lady who lacked customer service. She was very unprofessional and kept ignoring me when I asked a question, I was having trouble completing my application and she would not even get up to assist. The other two women Jaleesa and Dia were very professional, personable and informative. I would still rate this location high because the area and the townhomes are beautiful.
Terrible !!!!!! Everything about it. The painting, mold on the ceiling, water always shutting off, doors don’t even lock right or close right. When I first moved in I needed a maintenance person to come out 4 different times to fix one thing. The water is rusty. They don’t even know how to answer the phones, when they do they are very rude and don’t want to help. Also there’s bugs by the windows. Pictures are very deceiving they don’t even have a dog park like it shows... and the parking lot is terrible big pot wholes everywhere.
They are beautifully renovated and very peaceful! My experience was amazing with Misty Waters as she continued to follow up with me for 2 months about moving here. I was thinking about just staying at my moms for another year because I couldn’t find any nice apartments. She invited me to come see an apartment and I was sold. I also received my first months rent free and was even more impressed! There are also ways to earn a lot of cash with the great referral incentives they have in place! I haven’t had any problems and do not suspect to. I love it!Thank you Misty!
This is a solid spot with good staff! I was able to take a tour of the place and Dia did an exceptional job! Very thorough and provided great client service (which is very high on my list). The amenities are really nice, fitness place is very awesome and everything seems to be newly remodeled.
The one star is literally just for Heather. She was the only helpful and respectful person working here at the office that I ran into. Im pretty thorough but easy going, but I have never walked out of a leasing office so fast. Crystal, just as other bad reviews have mentioned, was the most unpleasant interaction Ive had with any leasing office, and Ive been apartment and condo searching at over 10 different places. She was rude the moment I stepped into the office, ungreeted and unwelcoming. I can tell how unorganized she was by juggling papers and talking to us half paying attention while helping another leaser at the same time. Mind you, we had an appointment to check out the place. I drove an hour out to see this place, and I didnt even care to see what they had. Buildings and roads are very run down and neglected, they are renovating but its all over due, wont be done for another year. I can see why the ratings are so bad. The pictures arent what they are. Definitely check this place out in person before you decide to submit an application. Maybe I would have considered moving here after the renovations, but with how unprofessional the leasing office treated me, its not hard to cross the Crossings off my list of apartments.
When I moved in it was wonderful. Now I have been dealing with maintenance canceling my requests with no word as to why. I havent had a working garbage disposal, kitchen sink, or washer/dryer in almost 8 months. As soon as my lease is up Im outta here. The people in the office are nice enough but dont pay any attention to what you are saying. A while back I asked the office for maintenance to come fix everything but to call before they came as I have a toddler and alarm system. No call, I had to move a piece of furniture into my apartment and happened to leave the alarm off as I would only be gone 10 minutes to pick up the furniture. Came home to some man standing in my dining room staring at all the stuff on my counter. No where near where the issues are. Theres only one dumpster and it is toward the front of the community. Its just a bad place to be.Edited to add- since I got the reply they have fixed things in my unit only to have more things go wrong and be ignored. The office workers are more than happy to talk down to you and treat you like you know nothing. Stay away I have given them every opportunity to change things and change my mind and they havent.
Very unhappy with my experience here. I have lived here for 2 years now and the only reason I had to stay a second year was because the apartment complex I was going to move into in Oak Park screwed me over and there werent any other apartments available. The apartments look nice I will give them that and the majority of the staff is nice even though they will say just about anything to get you to move in here. However, whenever I need to call over to the office nobody answers I always end up having to go over there. Just about every month they are finding a different reason for needing to come into your apartment to do some type of inspection. Maintenance takes forever to respond to you. I waited 5 month when I first got here to have my move in check list complete. The police are always in the complex because they just rent to just about anybody with a pulse. They have raised my rent almost $100 for resigning and want to raise almost another $100 which I feel is unfair consider that there are people on section 8 here who only have to pay a couple of hundred. The foundation of the building is HORRIBLE. I hear everything that goes on in the apartment above me and its getting worse because I can hear the people on the side of me as well. Its a nice place if you have low standard but for my hard earned money I need more.
The management staff is not very helpful. They towed our car, even though it was running, because it sat there for a month or so due to my not being able to drive due to a major operation. When the office was contacted about the notice on the car, they said that it would not be towed. They towed it anyway. Meanwhile, they left a car sitting there for over two years, that was not running and had all four tires rotted out to the rims. They also were not very good about repairs. They recently updated the outside of the buildings, and they look terrible.
It is true what other reviews say, that maintenance does take awhile to get to you. Big reason is because work orders are marked as completed when in fact it is not and if they need permission to enter then youre almost so sure to be skipped if you miss that opportunity. As far as I know there is only one dumping site for trash behind the main building.11/2017 - New windows and patio door changed and only insulation padding was placed and not caulked. Which means at the peak of cold season it was REALLY cold with all that draft. Also I did notice some small bugs.Smoking can be a HUGE issue if youre a non-smoker, they have no smoking policy--smoking is allowed in-unit and there is nothing they can do to stop that because of the absence of a non-smoking policy. (consider constructive eviction).Few times online payment was changed and they charged me a $50 late fee because they neglected to inform me about the change in payment system. They changed it again and never notified me. They want to bank off of unsuspecting tenants. Leasing manager/company turn-over is quick. One day I was reporting problems to one person then another took over, next time I responded it was another leasing manager. That says a lot about a place. On 03/01/18 it rained hard and because there was only insulation around the new windows it leaked inside the unit, I reported it and maintenance did not show up the next day.I would not recommend this place especially for the amount they want to charge.
My rating is based off my poor experience with management. While the pictures shown do indeed look exactly the same in person, the promise of a “happy and helpful staff” was not kept. In fact, my money was instead. Once my application was denied, my emails and phone calls stopped being answered and the money is still being healed. Communication is key, especially when you run and business that deals with other peoples money.
I enjoy living here. The grounds are well kept and there are carports which is nice in the winter. There is a nice clubhouse, workout facility and indoor pool. Maintenance has always been prompt and friendly. They are pet friendly. The location is close to highways, restaurants and shopping. My apartment has a nice open floor plan with a sunken living room. My one bedroom also has a small den which is nice. There is plenty of storage and closet space. There is also exposed brick in the apartment which adds character.Ive been here 5 years and plan on staying. Its a nice and affordable place to live.
Only one spot to take your trash which means trash ends up all over. And with trash all over I have spotted rats. You can hardly get through to someone on the phone. Doorbells dont work so people have to call you to let you know they are there. I have an upcoming wedding so people are sending me gifts and now I cant receive packages. The women on the phone told me I would have to get ahold of the shipping companies and let them know of my situation and either have them leave it at my door or their facility to pick up myself. She was rude. They never let you know if you have a package waiting in the office anyway. The rent is extremely too high with no utilities included or any explanation as to why. A thousand for a one bedroom is a joke. Parking can be scarce. I gave one star because maintenance is pretty good. I can not wait to move.
Had the horrible experience of living here for two years. Pool has been closed since I moved in. Whole entire club house has been closed since I moved in actually. Mice and rodents where a constant problem. Key word constant. There was only one garbage for the entire complex which was always embarrassingly full. I hated having guest over and they had to see the pounds and miles of trash. I lived on the lower level and my apartment would flood a lot due to everyone in the building using the air. The only solution they had was to spray fabreeze over the wet area to avoid smell, leaving mold under the carpet to dry on its own. The new office employees are crazy rude, only nice when you are signing the lease. Watch out. Also forced people to move out of their homes with only a 45 day notice to redo only the kitchen and raise the rent $600. Not worth it. Especially when half of the rent should be paid by THEIR rodents. They are dressing this complex up to be something it’s not, these old building need to be completely tore down and re done. It’s disgusting. Oh and The laundry room Only has one washer and one dryer to each building which holds a little over 96 unites each. So if you think washing clothes is an option here it’s not. No utilities included. Your goi to be charged monthly for sewage and trash. And you won’t even have any where to put your trash. I kept to myself in my apartment no complaints this isn’t to bash the canton crossings but to get the point across that you will be cheated if you move here. Great marketing tools to get you into a horrible experience. Hope this helps and saves someone else from signing a misleading and over priced leave.
I’m generally a pretty level headed person but my experience with this apartment complex is so negative I felt compelled to post something in hopes of saving someone else the headache. So obviously the renovated apartments are really beautiful there’s no denying that. My problem lies with the blatant lies that were told when I signed the lease last January that I would be able to take advantage of all of these fantastic amenities like the pool, gym, package room, renovated office, movie theater, etc. They went so far as to give me dates when these things were supposed to be completed. Not one has come to fruition over my year here. Not one. Then they have the audacity to send me a note about renewing my lease where the monthly rent is increased by $300, from one year to the next there was a $300 difference. I have a good job and am financially secure so I could have made it work if I had even an iota of desire to. I sent an email to the office that they requested I send and didn’t get a reply for two weeks at which point I followed up to make sure they received it (I was trying to set up a meeting) radio silence for another week. It took me physically walking into the office to get an answer. Terribly unprofessional. The whole place is a mess it’s in process of gentrifying the entire complex so if you can morally be a part of that go for it! I’ll attach pictures of the disgusting laundry area/storage. I could go on for days but this is already ridiculously long so I’ll leave it at that. Don’t even try with this place though there are much better for cheaper try Turtle Cove or Newburgh Square down the street... anywhere else. Hope you all have a lovely apartment search and I wish you luck!
I applied to live here in August 2019 & was given a unit that wouldnt be available to move in until 10/21 due to the ongoing renovations to the units at the time. I had no issue with the 2 month wait as I was not in a hurry to move at the time. Misty was an incredible guide, very welcoming & informative & honestly I feel like they dont pay her enough for the servive she provides to people who come & go to Crossings. Now comes the issue. Upon signing my lease in August 2019 I was told I would be able to inspect the unit before move in date as you would with any new place but for some reason I was not given the opportunity to inspect the unit but according to my lease papers I had inspected it & approved everything in August. This was a red flag. I revisited Crossings after seeing this and spoke with Erica & upon leaving I was told that they had no idea if I would actually ne able to inspect the unit before move in or if it would even be ready by move in date. She then updated my lease with an additional $100 charge to my move in cost & was unable to give me any help on if I could inspect the place. I decided to pass on Crossings.
Worst Experience ever. I moved here about a year ago because it was affordable living until these new clowns took over jacking up prices and telling you only 2 1/2 weeks before your lease is up. So they dont give you enough time to give a 30 days notice which is a great way for them to keep your security deposit. Also the utilities going up the way they did is outrageous. The average percent your rent and utilities can be raised is 7%. They way surpassed 7%. I have also never heard of a fee to throw your garbage away either considering garbage is thrown all over the complex its disgusting and i have seen rats a couple of time. I have referred people waiting for their current leases to finish, to this complex before the new owners took over, they were gonna come her sometime this month for apartments but will gladly be telling them not to.
Five stars is not enough to show how happy I am in regards to the Leasing Consultant Dia. I originally was interested in apartments in Westland but I decide to check a few out in Canton. Dia made me feel at home and was a great help. If you decide to check out these apartments, youll be in great hands if you work with her!!!
I wrote a good review before for AJ because they get a bonus and he deserves it. However, this place is awful! There is zero amenities . The pool and gym have been under renovation since I moved here 6 months ago and every time I ask when they will open their answer is, “soon.” The hallways leading up to the apartments are disgusting. The carpet is so dirty and stained and smells like mildew. I pay $1.054 a month for a one bedroom apartment and no amenities. I can’t wait for my lease to end so I can get out of here. They are always having special moving in sales because no one wants to live here. Steer clear of this place. You will overpay and get nothing in return!!
Before I write my review, I must say the only pleasant experience I had living here was interacting with the people in the office. Not one time did I come across anyone that was rude or mean. Everyone I spoke to was always nice and friendly. My issues and concerns is for my overall experience living here and with overall management!!This was the worst experience I have ever had living in an apartment.Issue #1 -We stayed in building #18 where there were different men living across from us and two doors down from us. Not sure if the complex rents to a special program where there are different men changing apartments weekly, but every other week or so there were different men hanging around outside all hours of the day & night and it made it a very very uncomfortable living environment for me and my mom. There is only one lock on the main door and it never felt safe living in that building with all those men lurking around outside back in forth from walking in front of your door. Not only that, our unit was in the middle with neighbors on each side of our town home and the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Whenever a neighbor would go in and out of their unit you can hear then very clear. So if are upstairs it sounded as if there was down stairs in your kitchen. Which again made the feeling of not being safe in your unit because it sounded like someone was in your home at the middle of the night.Issue #2 - When we first moved in late April 2018 we had plumbing issues after day 2 of staying there. One of the bathrooms upstairs would not flush and sewage was coming up in the shower and then there was a leak in my kitchen ceiling. Due to the severity of this matter maintenance was there in no time to fix the problem. But, overtime being in that unit, we experienced more leaks. We also had plumbing issues in the kitchen under the sink. It looks like there was cheap pipes used under the sink and every time we ran water in the sink it would leak at the bottom. This went on for some time, they had to come out several times to fix the issue. One time it took maintenance almost a week to come out, so for nearly a week we could not use our kitchen sink because the cheap plastic pipes would continue to come apart.Issue #3 - the potholes in the community is horrible it took months for them to fill the holes in the parking lot.Last but not least.. Issue #4 - I moved out of this property due to the increase in rent. I provided the recommended 60 day notice on Feb. 1st and turned in my keys on March 31st. For the year i lived there, my rent was paid on time every month, I was never late nor have I ever missed paying. On April 1st, I received an email to make a rent payment, this was ignored since I assumed they may not have updated my records on their end. On May 1st, I received and email to make a lesser payment of $495. Not sure what that was for because upon moving out, we cleaned the entire unit from top to bottom and there was no damaged made by us in this unit. Now again on June 1st, I receive a second email to pay the $495 again, I know I do not owe anything so I do not respond until yesterday there is a letter from collections about this payment. I am going to contact the office today to get this resolved, but I just wanted to share this horrible living experience at THE CROSSINGS AT CANTON!!!!!!
I have lived there for 6 years. They increase my rent every year but nothing has really improved. I used to get free storage. They painted the basement one year then started charging you $10 a month to rent the same size space you used to have free. They made no improvements and still have leaking problems. Two years ago the toilet above me overflowed. The damage to the ceiling and wall and the carpet outside the bathroom has not been fixed. The carpet is coming up and is now frayed. My recent renewal, they raised my rent by $100. My lease states one amount, then they added on another $10 for storage because they said they couldnt include it in the amount that states my rent. I have had a dog since we moved in and the pet fee has been the same, but apparently they are not charging me the $35 fee, even though it was not stated in the amount of the increase. They claim that this is separate and that they arent allowed to include these fees in the amount stated on the front page that says how much your rent will be. They offered a $150 renewal bonus. I took it off my rent, then they served me notice that I owe that, plus the other fees. The management company is horrible. They do not care about the tenants. They have a lot of empty apartments, but dont seem to care enough to try to keep the people they already have. Do not rent from them.
Took a tour of the property, absolutely loved the new renovations. Many wonderful features and amenities, one of my most favorite is the clubhouse which is huge and would be an ideal space for parties and events. Misty was my tour guide. She is very professional and super helpful and easy to talk to. The office staff were a delight, thanks a lot you guys!!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! All of my neighbors are so nice, and the leasing agents and property managers are so helpful! Maintence is always quick to fix any problems we have had! Rent is so worth it for the amazing renovations they have done. My apartment is so nice, and I don’t think I could be any happier! There’s no way you could go wrong here!
Theyve changed ownership multiple times. The pool has been closed since 2018. The contractors they hired have cracked sidewalks and walkways with their heavy equipment. Some of the maintenance people care, if you reside in a remodeled apartment. The office personnel can be very unprofessional. Dont move here unless you dont have anywhere else to go!!!
We’ve lived here for a few years in one of the townhomes. Our neighbors for the most part are quiet and we’ve never had an issue with any of them. I think the townhomes are in much better shape than the apartments and I really don’t hear much from my neighbors. But that could be because I got lucky and they’re quiet. I’ve never been inside the apartments but a lot of people complain about being able to hear everything. The trash situation is ridiculous. You shouldn’t have to drive your garbage to one dumpster that’s always overflowing. They’ve been doing a lot of renovating, and the new units do look nice (ours hasn’t been renovated other than getting new windows put in), however the pool and all the amenities are still not available to use and I think it’s unfair we are being charged for them. This place is far from being comparable to other complexes in Canton, and yet the rent is the same. We’ve never had an issue with the leasing office or maintenance. I think this complex has potential to be a nice community, however most of the people who live here are part of the problem. It seems like they rent to whoever, they take section 8, and there are recovering drug addicts who live here. People throw trash everywhere, I’ve also seen pit bulls and other aggressive dog breeds that are supposedly not allowed in the complex. Again, I’ve never personally had an issue with anyone. But I think if they’re trying to make the complex comparable to other complexes in the area, they need to get rid of the riff raff who live here. Overall, I haven’t had any major problems with my unit, the leasing office, or maintenance. However I’m still excited to move out when my lease is up simply because of the other people who live here. And I don’t mean everyone. We have met some nice people!
Steer clear. Basements with pools of flood water and multiple varieties of mold is a major health concern. People chain their pets to balconies with no consideration for the other tenants having to put up with the constant barking, feces, and of course the health of their own animals sitting in 95 degree heat for hours. High noise level from both cars in parking areas and other units with constant bass and screaming, violent arguments. Certainly wouldn’t recommend any student, working professional, or frankly any single woman to reside here. Not safe.Shoddy renovations, trash everywhere, and an overall lack of care that the other tenants seem to have for their own living space make this a joke for the rent cost.
Just look at the low rating reviews section, trust me dont waste your money on this place. Also they offered to pay current residents for reviews online recently. The website is not updated at all, the prices have went up plus they charge a extra $64 dollars a month for utilities and this doesnt include DTe and Air condition by the way which is crazy if youre already spending $1000 and up on just rent. The staff lack emotional intelligence and only care about making money. I drove all the way to canton and they only had one showroom to show that wasnt worth the money theyre asking for to be honest. Also it was no rapport building just questions about money and when I can move into the apartment. This makes me think of the type residents living in the complex if the background process is that easy. Also the apartment complex smell like curry all over.
Don’t live here but I have tried calling and calling and even left a voicemail about availability. No calls returned but did receive an email to call their office for a tour. Called again the following morning, no answer. What kind of nonsense is this? Continued to call and decided it isn’t worth it. If no one at the office answers, then it obviously wouldn’t be a good place to live.
Yeh, they show you their clubhouse and how much they spent their 14 million. However, they fail to even take the time to pick up their phones or call people back. Also, it seems as if their mass email telling everyone about court dates shows that people have gone through tough times with COVID, but they still going to take you to court and evict you. Dont, by any means, live here. Waste of time and Heather has the worst attitude. Do not speak down to your customers and do not try and pull attitude when they tell you something is wrong on multiple occasions and you ignore them and refuse to fix it.
Update: they also dont clear the driveway after snowfall and snow sits for 4 days so you can barely drive out.Using this platform to quickly elaborate, and illustrate clearly all of the reasons that nobody should make the same mistake I did in signing the lease agreement.- Apartment: Will look almost like the model apartment you will be shown. But if you dig a bit deeper you will notice the your actual apartment is hastily put together, cheaply refinished and mostly everything is just painted over. The pergo floors dont stick in places, and many other small things.- Waste Management: Upon talking to leasing office you will be told that all trash is gathered up and taken on a certain day. You will realize that your garbage has to be taken out to your car and thrown in a single dumpster used for the whole 740 units.- Ammedities: The leasing office tells you when you move in that you will have access to a pool, a gym, and multiple other facilities. Going on 6+ months with none of these finished or readily available. But you will pay for them.- Clothes washing: Described as a simple process for the single units where you load a card and wash your laundry. Its not anything like this. Washers are found in a disgusting, ghetto basement with water everywhere. Washers are rarely cleaned (have had entire load of laundry end up bleached due to previous person). 2 washers per building and they can be used for up to 2 hrs, so its hard to find time for your own laundry. Laundry cards can only be loaded during leasing office hours, if you are up odd hours its basically impossible to load them.- Community: Search warrants and sketchy things are common. Lots of drug related activity. Police will often be on the way out of parking lot scanning plates. Marijuana smell in the units and hallways around the units, despite a clear no smoking clause in the lease agreement. Fights in the halls are common and fights in the apartments themselves are clearly heard at unreasonable hours due to thin walls.- Maintenence: Takes 4-6 days to actually get out to your apartment in the event of something being broken (things seem to break all the time, probably due to the hastily done remodels as mentioned above). And even when they do, they often do not fix the problems at hand or dont fix them right.- Repairs + Upgrades: Recently upgraded windows which would be a plus, but left insulation sticking out around where there should be trim. Both on the exterior and the interior of the walls. Is clearly noticeable and greatly unaesthetic. Equipment and construction crews up renovating other units with your rent money at early hours.- Power: Seems to go out more frequently than other places. Has gone out 5-6 times in the past months i have been here, despite other areas having power. Does not get hastily fixed. Will take 8+ hours and leave most of the food in your fridge spoiled. This a thing other reviewers did not touch upon but is a pretty glaring issue.Unless you live on section 8, or have no alternative route. Do not move here. The apartments are not worth anything that they charge and you cannot break the lease for a year.Im sure there is even things I have ommited from this list just from the sheer amount of issues and due to inability to remember them all.
Management isnt perfect, but the apartments are gorgeous, especially for the price! Downside would have to be that theres only one dumpster, so you need to drive to it whenever you take our your garbage. People are generally friendly, the wall provides ample privacy from the freeway (275) and the apartments are always clean when you move in.
If you want to waste your valuable time of your life you can move in these apartments. The worst apartment I ever lived in. The staff is Horrible. There is no trash cans near apartment... Only place to throw trash is near leasing office... which is 0.5 miles from most of the apartments. Only 1 parking spot per apartment.. if you have more more than one car you have to park the car outside the apartment complex. No Security at all. Maintenance ppl are very rude (Specially Head Jennifer). they will almost take 2-3 week to fix small stupid thing. I am waiting to get over my 1 year lease so that I can move out. I would not recommend this place to anybody.
It’s been a while since I’ve needed to move, so I was a little worried about the process. I worked with Kay today and she completely made me feel like she knew me. She made the process so welcoming and personal. I work in sales so its really hard to wow me but wow! If you are search for an apartment here at the crossings ask for KAY. She will make you forgot about the stress of moving with the knowledge and patients she has. Thank you KAY I’ll be back!
For sure I loved the neighborhood and newly updated interior and layout. I must say money well spend in renovation! However, I am writing this review to purely acknowledge the staff of crossings at canton, namely Heather and her team including maintenance staff. No matter which industry one is in an excellent infrastructure can be copied by competitors. However, its the people at ground managing customer relationship creates an everlasting differentiation which can not be copied. I must say staff at crossings at canton leasing office has demonstrated an unmatched empathy and understanding in my complicated situation while I was in a transition phase from a renter to a 1st time home owner. Not everything can be put in words. However, truly speaking because of these guys I was having required comfort level, peace of mind in managing things in a seller market. I will recommend crossings at canton not only for renovated property but also for an empathetic, practical and logical staff. Thanks again for all the support and caring shown during my stay with you guys!
I am beyond ready to move out of this place. The new management company is god awful and has used every excuse to charge for literally EVERYTHING. i locked myself out of my apartment on accident and was charged $50.00 (and didnt even recieve another key for the expense, they just let us in) when it was during business hours which makes absolutely no sense since the apartments have keys to all apartments and the keys were inside of my apartment. I have lived here for almost 2 years and i wish i could afford breaking my lease because i seriously rather be homeless than live here. This is THE WORST PLACE i have ever lived. I was never told when re signing my lease that there would be construction that would continue for a full year now (and its still not done). We have had multiple shootings since i have lived here yet nothing has been don besides raising rent. I am so beyond frustrated with this place. We also had someone replacing the windows in our apartment and not only did they leave at least 10 nails and screws throughout our apartment but the classy men that were installing the windows decided to use our bathroom and no only leave urine in the toilet but even left the toilet seat up. Along with that they also left bags, the door frame, and pieces of glass behind. Also, why would a place not only raise rent by A LOT but also added all utilities to our bill without any sort of warning? How do you not have any sort of humanity and at minimum give us notice. The utilities were literally due the day the letter was sent out. Not only did that happen, BUT they then have backtracked our utilities for the months we were never charged in the first place. Maintenance (if you can even call them that) come in and out of our apartment whenever they want with no sort of warning or a letter stating they will be entering on a certain day or week but theyll come 3 weeks later. The workers at the office are literally the most clueless people i have ever encountered and have absolutely NO idea what is going on. For example, I woke up to a towing sticker on my car (mind you I have lived here 1.5 years) and I called the office to see why and I received a phone call 5 hours later asking me if I was interested in renting an apartment... I do not understand. I genuinely have never seen a place ran so terribly and I hope this review discouraging at least 1 person from renting from this hell hole. I am so disappointed in myself for settling for this disaster of a place. I CAN NOT wait to leave this place in may. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.
We recently made a long distance move from Florida to Michigan. Our leasing agent, Misty Waters, made our transition very easy! She has gone above and beyond to answer any questions we had about the apartment complex, and even gave us a FaceTime tour of the place before we signed the lease. She has gone out of her way to make sure we are happy here. Misty handled the one noise complaint we had, and we have not had a problem since! Maintenance also responds in a timely manner. We were so happy to find a newly renovated apartment within our budget here at Crossings at Canton!
Do NOT move here. The people in the office are horrible. I left before my lease was up, apt in perfect condition and they sent me to collections for almost 800 dollars because I didnt turn in the keys soon enough. Ive already hired a lawyer to take action against them. Theyre absolute idiots. This place is ghetto and a joke. Dont mess with them. Its not worth it.
This place was hip and chic in the 60s. For the most part, it hasnt been updated since. The interior places have character. Thats about the only thing going for this place - that and the people who live here tend to be decent people. The management is almost hilariously ineffective and ridiculously difficult to get a hold of. We had a broken sink for a month, with daily calls, and a broken door (the door wall, we were on the first floor, it got shattered by their lawncare people) for a full week. Their maintenance people do not let you know if/when they have been in your apartment - youll only be able to tell because they will have broken things or moved them. They dont do much, if any, refreshing when you come in, and you are told things that are different from the terms of your lease when you sign in. The parking lot hasnt been painted or repaired in years - there are pot holes the size of kiddie pools. Rather than repair the parking lot or repaint it so that there are actual spots, theyve decided to paint the exteriors of the buildings (which was utterly unecessary; they painted everything white about a month ago and its already filthy) and replace siding (which was only there for aesthetic purposes anyhow and did not need replacing at all) on select buildings instead of basic parking lot maintenance. The clubhouse has been under construction for months with complete denial of any access; they said that renovations would be done by September Its September 6th and theres no sign of any improvement whatsoever. For the money, it is not worth living here. Dont live here.
The staff has been more than accommodating. During the application process, they were professional yet personable. As a resident, they have responded to my requests with the utmost urgency. I really like my floor plan with its sunken living room and the BRICK accent wall. Very cool! Overall, the living space makes it a good place to live. Also, covered parking is included. Thumbs up!Rick Stratton
Ive been here for 8 months. Still not able to use any amenities to this date.I have a 2 bedroom no renovations. Fridge old.. Yellow handles originally white.. Dishwasher is older than me soo I refuse to use because there is rust inside. I requested work to be done in my bathroom because the sealant on the bathroom wall has come off completely. I asked for new fridge and dishwasher and for them to fix bathroom and they want to move me in a new unit which is substantially higher (over 1k).. My rent for a 2 bdrm one bath is 845 plus 64 bucks for utilities. Which is 909.00 per month. Promise after promise from the office and my issues are never resolved. The only end result is raising rent on end user (tenants). When I moved in the office told me I would be in a renovated unit within 3 months of move in. Thats why I moved into a non reno unit. Leasing office blamed it on old managing company and stated it was a lie. Reno unit at that time was 929..which is 993. 6 months after.. Now its like 979.. Which is 1043.. I see it says 14 million in renovations. But really who is paying for them? We the tenants are. My 2 bdrm was 650 2 years ago and now with the reno its 1043 including utilities that we pay the owner/management. So, you do the math! We the tenants are being duped into paying more and more each year. I could understand 10 or 15 dollar increase per year but where does someone fit 50+ increase per year. Where can we find that in our budget? Would you like for your rent to increase by this much each year? Would you consider this to be fair and would you honestly stay within a community who seems to be out for monteary gains versus building relationships with respectable, hardworking teanats who pay their rent on time? Were already being taken advantage of having to live in this community being waken up at 8am every morning to banging construction trucks driving past your window. If anything we the tenants deserve some type of fixed rate/ compensation for the next few years knowing we have to endure and go through this renovation without the use of amenities and the hassle of living in such poor conditions. Not being able to enjoy any (0%)of the amenties that were so called offered to the residences. We are paying for this owners dream. His vision that has not been completed yet. Management company after management company. Someone is always to blame besides the ones in the office due to the rent increase. Weve been here for almost a year and paying for a gym, pool, clubhouse, tennis court, basketball court, and I cant walk outside without stepping in a pile of mud and the sad part is that I rather step in mud versus stepping in animal feces or on a dead rat. Yet my rent is going to be increased to help you pay your 14 million dollar renovation. Ive had enough with this place. This one year may be my last if rent indeed is increased for a non renovated unit. The school in this zone has 3 stars out of 10 which is the worst in the surrounding areas. I contacted corporate and the leasing office and the only way to fix my issues in my unit is to not fix my issues and move me into Tenants are not an issue. But rent increases are! Not being able to enjoy amenities are!! Not being able to sleep past 8am is!! not being able to walk on your grass without mud tracks is a issue!! Im done with this place. I deserve better! Ive endured alot living here. I could have chosen any commuinty within this area, but i decided to believe in the possibilities and gave this place a chance and now I regret it more than ever! If you want to live somewhere the the landlord is not money hungry. Look for a private landlord or perhaps try to move in a house. Your credit to get in this complex will get you a house and mortgage for 1000 sq ft home is less than 400 so you the tenant please make the right decision because clearly i didnt by moving here.
This complex is horrible. We lived here for 2 years and maintenance rarely ever showed. They are racist and very unfair. We left our apartment clean and tidy when we moved out (3 weeks before our end date) and they refunded us only 25% of our deposit. I was always talked down to when going into the office and none of the amenities worked half of the time. I am one unhappy customer of theirs and I will never go back. I am so grateful to be out of there!
Today marks ONE WEEK my family was a victim to a breaking and entering here at the Crossings at Canton Apartment Complex and 10 MONTHS of ongoing issues, AND STILL no repairs!!!Since the incident, local police have conducted a full investigation and believe possible intruders may have been the contracted construction workers hired by the Crossings at Canton Apartment Complex, on site. As seen below, our door was kicked in beyond repair, all locks broken leaving us unsafe and afraid to live in our own home. After sending multiple emails, making over 20 calls begging the Leasing office and Property Manager to properly fix our door, WE ARE STILL UNABLE TO PROPERLY LOCK OUR HOME and no further contact nor assistance has been provided by this company!!! Forcing us to live in a hotel and with friends, missing countless days of work waiting for maintenance to fix things and no success! In addition, the construction workers completely damaged our balcony (see photos below) breaking multiple safety railings, cut our electrical wires causing power outage, left behind bags of nails, trash siding and other debris. This is in violation of the City of Canton Ordinance Codes Division 3.- Debris Sec. 58-81.-86. The City of Canton Ordinance has visited the property and found the complex not fully in compliance.NO ONE should ever have to endure the pain & suffering, loss wages of work due to failed maintenance appointments by the complex, disrespect and horrible customer service weve experience for simply demanding a human right-SAFETY We pay our rent and have never missed a payment, yet we are unable to live in home that were currently paying over $1,000 for.OTHER ONGOING ISSUESSince we moved here we were promised access to 14 amenities listed on their website and a brand new renovated unit. We have only received access to TWO (2) amenities. Still no access to cable or Internet within our bedrooms. Comcast attempted to setup paid for amenities in our unit and were unsuccessful due to old bad torn electric wiring dating back to 1980 in this BRAND NEW, NEWLY RENOVATED apartment. Maintenance and construction workers continue to leave supplies and tools in unsafe areas and residents have stepped on nails, tripped over hammers, endure increase of unknown pest entering our units etc.HELP:With your large viewer base we hope to finally grasp the attention of the Crossings at Canton Staff and the APM Management owners that this behavior is UNACCEPTABLE and to help others avoid moving into this chaos. Most importantly RETURN TO OUR HOME THAT WE ARE PAYING FOR SAFELY AND LIVE!
I’ve been living at the crossings since December 2018 and since day one AJ has made us feel like we were home and has help us and answered any questions we’ve had. I love my apartment and everything in it is perfect. I’d recommend it to anyone who asks me about it and I’d definitely renew my lease here. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!If I could help at least one person to avoid this cesspool they call an apartment/townhouse community, Ill be satisfied.I moved back in with my mother to help with her health last year and Im so sad that Ive ever let her stay here to deal with this. Ive noticed SO many problems but I only have time to talk about the most recent...(I wont even get to the squirrels whove taken residents in the building across from us due to the horrid construction)In July, they replaced her patio door as well as the windows without properly sealing the perimeter. There is literally exposed fiberglass insulation everywhere on the inside. The edging leads directly to outside with no siding to cover. So birds have picked half the insulation for nests leaving us with gaps.In Oct. we noticed the patio leaking water into the living room because if the poor construction and they sent someone to basically put a bandaid over it.Last week Wednesday I called the main office for my mom because of a leaking toilet and there is a heavy FREEZING breeze throughout the house no matter how high the heat runs because the house is essentially open from where they put the windows and patio. You can hear the wind and see the blinds move with all doors closed. The joke/liars/snake salesmen they call management told me that because of the recent ice storm, the construction (that they started THIS SUMMER) has slowed. But theyll put a WORK ORDER in to fix the problem.I have an infant bsby and as you can imagine, its not healthy for him to be here sleeping with freezing air blowing through our home. Here we are Monday morning 1°, Im wrapped in 3 blankets with my baby, my mothers health is affected by the cold air, nothing is fixed and its going to be record lows this week.My mother has lived here paying full rent with essentially NO amenities for over a year. The revolving door of management is faster than tenants. Please heed warning and stay far away!
*** THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE CROSSINGS STAFF NOT THEPINNACLE MANAGEMENT COMPANY***Im 3 months into a one year lease and already I am regretting it. Front door to the apartment building HAD NO LOCK whatsoever when I looked at the apartment. I was told that the part was on order and would be fixed shortly. 2 months later the door was still broken and they didnt fix it until after I had to go in and report that my storage bins in the basement had gotten broken into and had words with the staff about their broken promise about their broken door. Most of the staff are unprofessional, impolite, and less than helpful. When I was explaining to the property Manger why I felt that they should pay the deductible on my renters insurance because their broken door is what allowed my storage units to get broken into the woman there told me that there was no need to raise my voice. When I explained that I wasnt raising my voice and offered to show her what someone raising their voice actually sounded like, she threatened to call the cops on me. This place is a complete waste of time and money and if I wasnt tricked by their lies into signing a lease I wouldnt be here. Whatever you do DONT RENT FROM THIS COMPLEX.***Updated less than an hour after leaving this review and a message with Pinnacle Corporate offices***The Pinnacle staff I have spoken to since writing this review have been very professional about my grievances with the Crossings at Canton. I do not want this review to reflect badly upon Pinnacle just the local office staff at the Canton Crossing
PSA..... anyone interested in the crossing at canton do not do it. I wish I could provide pictures of some of the issues wrong with this complex but reviews don’t allow you to do so. Right now it is a bad time to move here and I will list all the reasons why.1. They will show you a fully finished apt when you come for a viewing ( the apts are really nice and updated). Then you will move into an apt building that does not have the exterior or hallways complete, the inside of your apartment will be the only thing that looks the same.2. I believe this place used to be a low income complex, so you will have some nasty and ghetto neighbors (TRASH INSIDE HALLWAYS, TRASH OUTSIDE OF BUILDING, DOG POOP IN HALLWAYS, URINE SMELL IN HALLWAYS). Hallway carpet extremely dirty and old.3. The police are always...always in this complex, for what reasons I am unsure, but this place is clearly under surveillance.4. Poor maintenance team. You have to keep calling the leasing off to get work orders complete (this can take up to two weeks). Also they poorly fix the building (example the roof was open to my building they used a hanger as a wire to keep it shut).5. Construction... the complex is under construction so the scenery is horrendous. The grass has big holes in it from tracker marks, POT HOLES everywhere, parking ports are old and rusted, and black top cracked from curb (huge black rocks everywhere). Also these workers take forever to complete any job. They take about 3 days to do siding on one building but have the materials scattered throughout the complex. Also, the construction workers leave trash outside the building until they are ready to clean it up.Remodeling- floor is poorly leveled in some areas, you can see where work was performed in the ceiling, bathroom fixtures are outdated and do not match the updates.5. Trash removal.....the nastiest trash I have ever experienced. There is one dumpster to accommodate all the units at the complex. It is always overfilled and most people just sit their trash along side the dumpster as there is no where else to put it.6. The leasing office staff seem to be nice people but sometimes you will get misleading information.7. You can hear through the walls (dogs barking, conversations, and babies crying).8. The basement and washing. The basement looks like a dungeon. The gates to some of the storage units are broken and it’s also filled with supplies for construction. The washing utilities are in a dirty area and I don’t believe anyone cleans the area.9. Parking. It is limited if you have visitors. Carports are suppose to have lights for each unit but many lights don’t work. Rusted old car ports.10. Pets. I was advised it was a dog restriction but people have pit bulls, husky’s, and I even saw a cane corso. Most people don’t even pick up their dogs poop outside. So you have to be careful where u step.11. The new CLUBHOUSE is under construction so you can go to the pool or use the gym.12. Lastly, you will pay $1000+ only to enjoy staying inside your apt because there aren’t any other benefits of being here besides the updated look and most utilities are included.
Lets start by saying people dont write reviews to lie , upon the walkthrough of a unit before moving, we were taken to an apartment that wasnt even finished , there was tape everywhere and it was still dirty. we decided to move in anyway. Stupid mistake. We moved in the beginning of April. I was told the day before move in the the unit still needed to be cleaned before move in and that the keys might be given to me move in day. At that point I said I am not signing the lease until I can get keys and enter the unit. I wasnt given keys until 5pm . I took one day off to move and tried moving everything in about 6 hours. When doing the check list several things were not fixed the vinyl flooring was coming up in the living room, the glaze on the counter in the kitchen was done that day. The only reason I know that is because we set boxes down on the counter and when moved the glaze peeled right off. The layout of the kitchen is ridiculous my dishwasher will not full open because of where the fridge is . I had to switch which side the fridge door opens myself to fix that issue. Which isnt fixed because now to load my dishwasher I have to have my fridge door open. and whenever we run the dishwasher it makes the whole kitchen smell like rotten trash. Not even two weeks after moving in my 16000 motorcycle was stolen from my carport. Six different occasions Ive had maintenance come in to my unit with and without my permission. When I voiced. My concern with mgmt I was told I was given a 24 notice that they were going to enter , which is REQUIRED by law in Michigan. That was not true the letter they sent everyone said maintenance was going to be in our building for a few weeks. That is not a 24 hour notice. That gives no time frame or date they should be expected. After telling the apartments that I dont want anyone in my apartment they still violated my rights until I told them that I will treat anyone caught in my apartment without my permission as the intruder they are. I am armed and do not take nicely to people coming into my place of living with my knowledge. I was woken at 10 am by maintenance man who needed to sand patchwork. He then told me he needed to grab a vacuum and paint. He never returned . I waited five hours before going to the main office to complain. Then they couldnt even tell me who was in my apartment this morning had no record of it. They brought me the whole maintenance team and told me to pick out who it was. When the guy came I wasnt worried that he wasnt there to do a job . It was when he never came back that I thought something as weird. I feel like maintenance was scouting when I am and am not home to steal my belongings. They were damn well not doing all the work that needed to be done for a city inspection. I even called the city to confirm an inspection and any repairs that needed to be done in my building, they told me that my building only had electrical issues that the city was making them fix . The occasion before this which was a week prior I had 5 maintenance men enter my home. They work should have been done. The main office tried telling me that I turned the five maintenance people away which was untrue they fixed the window in my bedroom. It wasnt until I threatened a lawsuit that they agreed to contact me before entering my home. I requested the walk through check list for the previous tenants which you have the right to obtain. I was told that it needed to be pulled from records and that I wasnt going to be able to get it today. after one week I called left my name number and a message and was never contacted about it. It has been two weeks now. I went to the office , explained to them that I requested something two weeks ago and that I had called last week. They pulled what I asked for right out of a filing cabinet in the office after they told me it needed to be pulled for records. I was never told when it was received by them because I believe they had it the whole time., This was a lot longer to remove a lot to be able to post .
*Rent skyrocketed over $200 (due to new Beztak landlords re-evaluating face value) Now i have learned the original owners have control again & Beztak is gone, yet rent is still ridiculous, i was told it would increase more after the renovations happen.*There is currently no way to contact them about any maintenance issues while website is being renovated. Trying to contact the office via email or voicemail will result in nothing useful. They just think you are a new potential resident.*There are storage cages in the basement that you have to pay extra for, I wouldnt, water in the basements.*Old grimy, rickety everything! Poor design lay out and utilization of space.*No one properly cleaned before we moved in, worst example is the small Bathroom had so much nicotine residue all over the walls & ceiling it kept streaking brown stripes everytime the shower was used. I had to get out a step ladder and hand scrub the walls and ceiling to try and get rid of it. I should not have had to do this.*It has been a cold drafty winter. Wind blows the blinds through our closed windows. 2 inch gap under the main entry door & under the building door next to us, so cold air blowing in constantly right into our apt.*Door-wall handle already broke off & had to be replaced. Door has to be strong armed open and closed, i expect to have to have it fixed again. Was told New windows/doors with in next 3 years.*I have to constantly tighten screws on closet doors, & main door knob.*These apartments are closed off and yet there is no buzzer system.*Took them 10 months and threats of calling health services to fix a bad mold issue behind badly cracked and unsealed shower tile.Rats everywhere, told there was a plan for that. One giant trash compactor for the entire complex, like living next to a landfill. Was told trash bins for each of the building sections are planned.*Removed big beautiful Trees that were a highlight to the grounds here. Now 2/3 Entryway doors hate my key. Sometimes its no issue, mostly its like someone stuffed tic tacs in the key hole. Effects all of us in the building.*If you work odd shifts, you probably wont be able to load money onto your laundry card. 7pm and no one in the office, where is security? Sign says be back at 9. I wrongly assumed that meant 9pm as that is the next 9 in the timeline.
I have been dealing with the Crossing for over a few months now, im moving there from NY this July after my Wedding. i have to say the New Management that just came on board is out standing, they will bend over backwards to make sure you get treated like family before you even move in, my experience with them so far has really been great & i have not even moved in as of yett. but as of now. i am very happy with the staff and there service , Kate the property manager and Crystal have been nothing but fantastic and i must say Montreal will always answer the phone with the happiest greeting!. they really make you feel at home, me being from NY i did alot of shopping to see who would give you the nicest most luxury place for your money. i have checked several properties, including. Park Place, Northville CourtYard, Swan Lakes, Glens of Northvile, Cedar Lake, ect. we have seen over 12 different apartment complex , i literally drove my fiancee crazzy looking at all these different locations, leaving NYC i was very spoiled and wanted the best, still being Newly Weds and looking to save up Money for out First home purchase i did not want to ex-seed my budget. we looking in Northville bec it was a nice area and thought it would have the best to Choose from , Boy where we wrong , the Crossing offered SO much more for a Cheaper price. there Apartments are all Newly Upgraded and if you move in Soon like me ( JUly 2018) Chances are you will be the First to Live in the apartments, everything comes with hardwood looked title floors, sunken in living rooms, balconies and all Staleness steal appliances including Dishwasher. you get the Bricks walls and very Big bedrooms including the Huge His and her Closets , if you moving from out of state do not even wast you time looking around. this is the place for you. i was very happy with everything they have to offer. including the outdoor pool, state of the art Gym. and Club house. there patio set reminds you of a get away island. all this for under $1,000 you could not beat it. plus they even offer you a package deal on the utilizes. and offer you a gated space for your own personalized storage!! this place is a no brainier. and rec ( do not fall for any other property promises prior to move in it will happen, they are all sales people. ) The crossing will honor everything they promise , my experience was great so far. and im very happy with the property and new management. thank you Kat and Crystal for everything . Cant wait to move into my New Home. !! see you Guys in July !!!!
My mom and I have been living here for 15 years. The Crossings at Canton sucks. They are kicking people out one by one. They do not care about the people who have been here for years, they only care about the greed. They increase the apartment prices. They are purpose getting people out. Its a business. I dont mind them renovating the apartments and natural the rent will get higher because of that. But they are purposely kicking people out. They care more about a movie theater in the clubhouse than painting the speed bumps. Things we dont need. There are so many theaters already around. It makes no sense at all. Whats the goal? To make the community safer. You really think if wealthier people move in there wont be any crime? Not everyone is moving out of the complex you know. I hope it works out for you but you are going to get bite on the butt. Well, you know that is life. But the crossings suck.
This seems like a great place to live! I inquired about a place to stay and spoke with Misty Waters. She was very professional amd knowledgable and made sure that she answered each of my questions thoroughly! She was a joy to speak to and has restored my confidence in customer service. The updates in the apartments are beautiful and I cant wait to call this place home!
I was at the Crossing at the Canton early this year looking for a place to that i can call home. Ms Waters was the first person that i saw with her friendly professional smile. She inquired about my interest and needs step by step, she even showed me my prospective home. The properties and surroundings are beautiful, in addition to warm reception that was accorded to me by the staff.. i am still thinking about coming that way when i get finances together.
Please dont waste your time or money. Also dont be fooled by the layout of the units. Staff is horrible, maintenance is a joke, and the residents well thats another joke. I agree with the previous comment. This is the Detroit of Canton!!! Ghetto and much more. Cars broke down everywhere. Large parking issues and lack of area to park. Loud obnoxious people. I could go on but, the topper of it all is.....Our apartment was filled with water on more than one occasion due to water rushing in from the patio. On the first occasion we were told to sop it up with towels. Which we did, and had to leave towels next to the patio most of the time to prevent intrusion. But the last one was the last straw. To wake up at 6am with over 2-3 inches of standing water covering the living area. After making several calls for someone to help. Finally at near 5pm they showed up. With a vacuum sucker and fans. At no time did they try fix the problem intrusion problem. Bottom line if you like to pay for crap and head aches then this place is for you. But beware at your own risk! Oh and cops are always around. Best time to check out the place is a Friday or Saturday night around 12am. Counting the police cars and making sure your doors are locked are not one of my favorite pass times. But each to theyre own !!!! In our unit the first month a man was drug out of his apartment and beat in the parking lot! I could go on and on and weve only been there 8 months and are counting the days until are lease is up!
I happened on this place last May, had find a place quickly, luckily they were having a rent special and Crystal assisted with no problem..it has everything I wanted for me.. laundry room on the floor with bedrooms, a separate place for my office..I love the newly renovated place. They are still doing upgrades, hopefully the clubhouse and pool is open this year.. other than that no problems, no loud neighbors, music or anything like that..it is home 😁
I’m seeing so many bad reviews, but I disagree! I’ve been here almost 8 months now, me and my fiancé love It! We have one of the newer townhomes and it’s beautiful! I only Had a few problems with minor things, but whenever we call for maintenance they come right away! I love It here it’s peaceful, have nice neighbors! Rent and utilities are well worth It.
Such an AWFUL experience. Yes these places run cheaper than others in town, but they are not worth it! We moved into a townhouse that - although it sat for almost a month before we moved in and was told that it had been walked thru 3x - it had never been cleaned. There was urine in the shower, on bathroom baseboards, black mold surrounding the bathtub and completely covered the shower drain, a broken toilet, another broken shower, missing screens from windows, chipped paint on the banister, peeling bathroom flooring, filthy carpets, broken front and screen door, water that doesnt get hot half the time, no working heating vents on the first floor, paper thin walls, water that dribbled cloudy white out of the kitchen sink, a next door neighbor who leaves his dogs excrament all over the grass - in front of our front door so we cant even keep it open on warm days without the stench, another neighbor who lets his dog out loose and almost bit us and children numerous times, our other neighbor blasts music until 2 am, cars all hours of the day and night blasting their bass enough to shake the ceiling, people outside yelling and screaming - especially on the weekends - also at all hours, kids who r never watched - 8-10 yrs old - who run around cussing and breaking everything they see in sight, and now.... Almost 3 months later... All repairs havent been made. And worse off, the full bath upstairs had a leak and the ceiling literally rained urine filled water on us, and it took their emergency maintenance guy an hour to make it over. This place is an unsanitary dump. The other neighbors scare us and we had to put an alarm system in just to have some peace. Now, we r going to have to move because we r way past our limit. The insides of the places look nice but everything else is beyond nasty and really should be located in a bad area. I cant even believe this place hasnt been shut down. Save your sanity - move ELSEWHERE!
Ive lived here for a few months now and so far its been pretty pleasurable. I have met some incredibly nice people that made me feel welcome and with the new management structure- it seems to only be getting better. Theyve made some great renovations and they appear to be making more. The management was also very responsive when I needed something checked on.
Ive never had too much of a problem living here. Everyone has always been friendly and patient with me as well as I with them. They are doing their best to update many homes from the inside out. I should be receiving new windows by the end of this week. They randomly replaced my old crappy door, sinks and even my counters and mailbox! I didnt have to ask for these things. They simply know what needs to be fixed and they are doing the best that they can to make sure tenants are happy here. One apartment/townhouse at a time. However please note: There has always been a parking issue. There isnt a generous amount of parking for guests or families with more than two cars. So for convenience they park in the fire lane. When they do this they block both of my car ports to where I can not get in, or out and neither can my husband. Ive had to carry all of my groceries from all the way down the street (no exaggeration) in the rain making several trips simply because my carport is being blocked. I place notes on all cars but well, no one listens. Convenience over respect.PLEASE somehow try to make more parking near townhomes and another dumpster would surely be nice too. Reason being; by the end of each day the one dumpster for the whole neighborhood is filled and trash fills the streets. I see workers picking it up and I so appriciate that. But it would be a lot more convenient and sanitary to have another one.Thank you for reading!
Have lived here almost 1 year and I can not wait to move out!!!!!!!!! Terrible area, HORRIBLE customer service from everyone in the office. No matter what you go in or call for they are always so rude. The turn over rate is so high, you never see the same person other than management who should be replaced as well. Buildings stink like all kinds of gross things. There is a bug infestation in all these buildings. The cops moniter constantly which tells you something about this community but the cops DO NOTHING. Management here does not care about any one at all. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION, DO NOT MOVE TO CROSSINGS AT CANTON. You will regret moving here every single day.
I moved in in January. Things have gone wrong, yes, BUT Lucas and the team (Taylor and Heather as well) have been nothing but amazing. I can’t believe they still smile when they see me even after how many times I’ve gone to them. But Luke deals with me the most and I appreciate all that they do!
Im hurt because the leasing consultant. (Only one of them) was so nice when we moved in she provided us with all of the necessary paper work and details of the home when she showed us. Let me tell the story. In January my siblings and I went to find an apartment it was a Saturday so every leasing office was closed until I thought about this hidden place on joy rd. I went and saw that they were open my siblings and I went in and immediately got help. Awesome. Every other place usually sees us as kids and doesnt want to help. So basically we ended up getting everything set up to be able to move in on February 13th. We werent able to see the place the day they told us itll be ready for viewing so the leasing consultant told us to come in maybe two days before our move in date to view it. When I tell you we walked into a trap house. A drunk maintenance man walking over the carpet with messed up shoes. Had the refrigerator facing the wrong way and tried to argue with us about what was right so anyways the leasing consultant told us by the 13th everything would be ready and okay. Friday the 13th came we go get our keys which were all messed up and incorrect and start moving in. Ready to view our new home with excitement we walk in to 3 paint buckets, on the carpet is like 50 Xanax just spilled in the carpet all over the house, random staples and nails stabbing our feet and not to mention we had a baby on the carpet crawling. The shower doors werent even put on both bathroom doors dont lock and the smallest bedroom door doesnt even shut. Toilet paper holders are broken and theres no way to fix them. Water takes 15 years to even get warm. The steps arent even placed in correctly. We thought that this house was our blessing and it was something to be proud of but honestly its no better than an apartment in the projects. We cant even get a light bulb at our carport. The same drunk maintenance man came to fix everything on our 7 day walk through list and in result everything he fixed is broken even more. The whole time he was in the house he talked about how he has a 40 dollar tool that knows its life in the outlet. Which he found out it wasnt working properly because it was in fact a dead outlet. But all in all its a lot of work that goes into any place you move into which is understandable but here its really just unnecessary things that goes wrong everyday. The damn sliding shower door completely fell apart on me in the shower, all true facts you tell me if Im overreacting.
Parking is the worst. I shouldnt be a paying resident and have to fight for a spot. The people in the office are pretty nice if youre not a current resident. Theres definitely something sketchy going on because there are always lots of police around pulling people over, searching through cars, and looking for people. The maintenance guy had an attitude when I called because I wasnt sure whether he had done my repair on my garbage disposal and dish washer or not because I wasnt home. He came in, said I already fixed it, and left. When I turned them on, they were most definitely not repaired. I put in another maintenance request and have been waiting for two weeks and still no one has come to fix them. I will not be living here next year.
Not worth it! Have been here around 8 Years paying 560.00 for a Small 1 Bdr Apt, Now paying 904.00. The place has gone through A couple different owners which is always A bad sign. They have been renovating the Complex for A Year now and just trying to push older residence out the door to remodel there place. We were given an option to move to one of the newer models but who wants to do that. The only reason to pay for A place like this is if its your only option because of Credit. The only thing that has kept me here is being so close to Work but it is time to get A Mortgage and move to A cleaner area!
I was currently shown a apartment by misty waters she was very professional , warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. She will make you feel comfortable to ask as many questions as possible if you ever were to go look and interested ask for her it’s highly recommended!
Not quick with repairs.. Their contractors busted a pipe working on the apartment next to mine which caused my living room to flood on a Thursday that want fixed until Tuesday so I couldnt used a lot of my plumbing,. The carpet people came an placed large blowers in my living room causing the blinds to fall and break off my window. I requested blinds and almost three weeks later nothing , people can just look through my house. Been here for 4 years but getting tired of increases and poor service.
A wonderful community diligently and constantly upgrading the community. Life for residents and guests is easy, maintenance is conveinant and timely. Many upgrades happening with over 15 different and unique floorplans to choose from. Friendly and knowledgeable leasing staff and an owner and upper management team who listens. What more could you ask for, check them out tell them I sent you.
The Crossings at Canton have the best staff at the leasing office. Aj who is one of the leasing consultants was easy and fun to work with. The first conversation we had was a real conversation about how the Crossings at Canton are changing for the better as well as what the big picture is going to look like at the end of the day. Right now there are renovations going on which from previous reviews people have complained. The Crossings at Canton are trying to improve their appearance not only on the outside but on the inside as well. I have not had any issues thus far that are out of the ordinary. My place has been quiet and I love coming home.
I don’t reside here however it was a prospect for me to consider and I was a little disappointed that n the upkeep considering the amount of money that is charged for monthly rent. Hopefully it is due to Covid. It definitely played a part on me deciding to apply or not
STAY AWAY... first of all the staff are fake they act so nice toward future residents but don’t really care once you’re a current resident. Second they fool u with a good price but then increase the price by at least $200 when the lease is due for renewal. Third there is at least one resident in each building that smokes weed so you’re gonna smell weed all day. Fourth the dumpster area is disgusting. Fifth they say that they don’t enter a unit unless they have your permission is so not true if u need any maintenance done they knock a couple of times and if u don’t get the door they think you’re not home so they enter anyways. That’s all I hate about this place so they need to fix the dumpster problem and find a solution to the many residents smoking weed and not let the maintenance people enter the unit without permission and keep the price of the rent the same at renewal and teach their staff to be nice to all future and current residents. And please crossings at canton(owner) don’t reply to my feedback saying you value my feedback and the team try their best to provide a 5 star feedback and to contact you on the 734 or 216 number because I already told you what u need to do to earn a 5 star feedback
I toured a model recently with a strong interest in renting that day due to a critical need with very little advance notice. The photos and the model tell such a completely different story from what is reality. I understand the model is meant to be a representation but there is no excuse for it to be such a complete opposite representation of the real experience. I am so grateful that I hesitated and decided to do some over-due due-diligence by reading actual recent reviews. I find it very odd that the responses to the negative reviews (which are the extremely high percentage) are merely apologies for the bad experience over and over and over again but stop abruptly short at offering a single resolution to the problems or providing any explanation for the why. That is a very significant red-flag that speaks volumes. At some point the apologies mean absolutely less and less without a plan of action to alleviate the common problems from happening going forward. With regard to the very very common reference to the representative by the name of Crystal. I was shocked to read the quantity of negative references to her specifically and the almost unanimous comments of her lack of professionalism and simple respect for the customer. Please go back and re-read the number of negative insight from customers regarding this individual. My experience was absolutely the same and extremely frustrating. However, I will always give someone the benefit of the doubt assuming maybe they are just having a bad day. I didnt know at the time of experiencing her unprofessionalism that this was her reputation and the norm as far as how she treats people. For that reason I was was actually not shocked to read the numerous reviews on her specifically.....what is shocking is why she is allowed to continue to represent your property in such a negative light. Why would you want that continued sabotage of your properties success? All apartment communities have challenges in maintaining appearance, fighting regular wear and tair, battling unreasonable expectations etc., you can never beat that challenge 100%. But how you treat the customer and at minimum showing empathy will determine how you are viewed, reviewed and remembered even when the problem cannot be solved. In my humble opinion Crystal is making that problem even greater for you in your attempts to be a successful apartment community.
I have lived here a few months and I have really enjoyed it. Rent is decent, the amenities are nice, and the new management is really sprucing up the place with it renovations. The office staff it great, Crystal is always helpful and able to sort out any problem I’ve had. Would Recommend living here.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! DO NOT!!!! DO NOT!!! DO NOT!!!!! I see why this place is being remodeled/ managed/ inspected by so many health/state-standard related people. If you want to move into an establishment where your apartment is dirty upon arrival, the staff cant do anything right, and maintenance shows up months later to do stuff, this is the place for you!! They will not tend to your needs, they simply want the money they dont deserve. Save your money, and go elsewhere! These are true statements:-I was moved into a model that I did not agree to move into. The lady told me she already sold the unit I put a down payment for.. Also told me I could move when one was available. Of course, I got nothing!-Slept on the floor my first night and I broke out everywhere.... Thats funny until it actually happens to you based off someone elses mistake. Turns out, the previous tenant had a dog. I dont like animals, and I have sensitive skin. Imagine my frustration:-Moved into my apartment, the carpet was dirtier than bums from Detroit. Dog hair, dog piss, nails, cigarettes, screws, all kinds of bs.. So, I called the office and let them know I needed my carpets cleaned... First Lady argued with me about how they were clean until I told her to come smell them herself. She did. Another Lady said someone would be there on the upcoming Monday.... Of course, I got nothing! (But $taken out of my pocket to pay Super Steamers to do it because they wouldnt.)-Frequent smells of cat and dog urination through the main building from basement.-Pets are in and out of my building so I can imagine how many critters are in others... I literally woke up to a black cat at my door. I lived on the 3rd floor.-You live with generous naive people that make homes for these stray animals, IN YOUR HOME & management does nothing about it after multiple calls.BUT LET SOMEONE SMOKE A CIGARETTE IN THE HALLWAY.............. ( I dont smoke, but I witnessed this)AYYYY, Cops show up 😃This is just a few past experiences I figured I would share.... because those pictures are deceiving and the humans are manipulative. Their priorities are alllll sorts of screwed up. No one should stay here due to the amount of inconsideration dished out by these adults. Ever.I will be speaking with higher management, & oh, I C A N N O T wait!
Misty Waters was absolutely amazing at representing Crossings at Canton. Crossings at Canton surprised me with all the new renovation to come. Im very impressed with Misty and the service she gives to the people that walk into Crossings at Canton. I could not believe how well she was at doing her job and satisfying the future tenants that walk into the leasing office looking to have a place of their own. Misty and Crossings at Canton brought joy to our hearts in trying to help us as much as she could. Your best interest is what Misty and the Crossings are looking for.
I had the great opportunity to meet Dia for a tour of your beautiful homes. Dia was very professional and informed about the complex as we walked to our destination. She really made me feel welcome with her hospitality as she explain how safe the community was, thank you Dia for all that you did. Now I have to make a decision 😃!
Family friendly community. Personable, professional staff. Beautiful, spacious home layouts. Could use some work on outside appearance: car ports, entryways, mailboxes, but overall a very nice place to live. I like that the trash is centrally located; keeps the neighborhood looking neat and clean. I look forward to coming home everyday.
I love the office staff very helpful and nice, the new property manager Jennifer is very helpful uprofessional, has a real passion for the community and making sure she does anything and everything she can to be helpful to the Tennants. I would recommend anyone coming and applying to herelive .
I went here to view an apartment.I understand this is in Canton, however this is arguably the worst part of Canton and this specific area is not good. I found a cheaper, nicer apartment in Farmington in a better area. This place is right next too Stoneybrooke but is 300 more per month??Edit: Since I am unable to reply I will edit my reply to you.Do not be disappointed, but feel free to answer as to why this place is priced much more then Stoneybrooke right next door? The roughly 900 dollars was not even for an updated model. Your updated model was a little over 1000.
I was going to look into moving in, The apartments look really good when you look online, but reviews on this place are completely scary. from the complaint on Fox 2 with the leaky ceilings, pics from residents and not one good review. I was looking to move in January of 2015, but from all this, i dont think so. ill check back later. its a shame, they look really nice... oh well
DO NOT LIVE HERE. WORST PLACE ON THE PLANET. Our unit is clean and nice because we take care of it and keep it maintenenced. However, the management staff is RUDE and awful, and the MAJORITY of people who live there are obnoxious SLOBS. There is so much litter and broken glass everywhere all the time around the buildings, people dont pick up after their pets, people are loud and our building wreaks of marajuana daily. I had to move on short notice and my budget was tight which is why Im here, but I have been waiting for my 1 year lease to be up since the day I moved in. I HATE you Crossings at Canton and I cant believe the city hasnt shut you down yet!! When the city was inspecting the complex for units unfit for living, I honestly hoped that our unit got flagged so I had an excuse to leave!ADDITION:Funny how the owner has the courtesy to promptly reply to my review BEHIND THE SAFETY OF THEIR COMPUTER. vvvvvI highly doubt that any of us complaining on here have received the same type of accommodation IN PERSON, THE FIRST TIME WE HAD AN ISSUE or we wouldnt be on here bitching! Im calling Canton City Ordinance next time I see a bag of trash thrown behind my building. Whoever continues to litter around this place deserves consequences, and so does your management staff for neglecting to take care of it!
First I must say I love my townhouse but October 31 2014 when a drunk driver hit my carport destroying it the office said they made a claim and they were just waiting for the insurance to pay for fixing it finally the check came February 2015 is when my carport was removed but they chose not to rebuild a new one in their defense the staff was gracious enough to allow me park in vacant townhome carports until my assigned spots were done (not my carport) which looking on the website today state with your townhome comes a carport. Now when I mention this fact while resigning my lease in March 2015 the staff told me it doesnt say carport but it says assigned parking spots I have been promised by everyone who works inside the office at the Crossings that they have order number decals, special paint, & signs for my assigned parking spot and when I call they say the maintenance man is just waiting on the numbers or he hasnt come and done it yet I have it done by the weekend since you have been waiting for so long. Every weekend I dont have anywhere to park and I have offered on many occasions to pay for the sign myself and put it up myself because a year has passed and it seems Rowland is too busy. While resigning my lease on March 31 2016 I was once again told that the signs had already been ordered and would be done soon my problem is that its been 6 weeks already and no signs yet and could somebody please tell me what happened to the signs that where order 12 months ago those signs have not be delivered yet. Its hard to trust people when you dont see their words and promises in action. Great place to live just dont never ask them to fix, repair or replace anything for you.
OVER IT!!- NO one ever answers the phone when you call. The staff always act like they have better things to do then take care of you. When you place a work order in for Maintenance it gets lost You literally have to go up to the office instead of calling it in. Not to mention ROACHES!! Yep Very much over it. Im breaking my lease. I cant stay another year here.
The leasing agent and the maintenance staff have both been incredibly kind. The maintenance especially goes out of his way to keep the grounds up and the area around the dumpster. My concern is about the crime here. There have been over sixty incidents in six months within the complex. I feel unsafe to let my children play outside when there was a strong-armed robbery right down the street. I opened my door the other day the five police cars. The police are always here because it is probably the worst area in Canton. Great schools but we have to move because I cannot raise my children in an area that is unsafe.
The worst management! I was told to pay for the application fee and it would take up to 72hrs for the property management to review and approve the application. After paying for the application and waiting 72hrs I called to see if I was approved. I was told that I have to $400 before the property manager will review the application. I read all the reviews on google and decide to go since they were under a new management but I guess they are no better then the last management. I would stay away from this place
My experience was awful too. its basically the southwest detroit of canton. I have been asked to purchase white on more than one occasion, and had no idea what it was until the black man flashed about a pound of cocaine to me. the front doors rip right open, and they didnt fix them the whole year i was there. theres only one dumpster in the whole complex so have fun hoarding your trash if you dont live within a mile of it. Also, the roof was redone this past year, good thing right? wrong. theres holes in every room, water, debris, and bugs are every where. the staff is rude and uneducated on how to help a renter out when they need something fixed. also, forget about that 24 hour maintanence ( theyll just get to it when they can) so roughly two weeks. i mean, if this sounds like your cup of tea, feel free to rent my apartment for the last few months of my lease. trust me, you WILL regret moving here.
Aj was amazing! He was sooo patient and the place is beautiful! I’ve had horrible leasing consultants and to be able to find AJ was refreshing! Our first phone call was sooo fun! He was exciting and easy to talk to. Made everything easy and was soo TRANSPARENT! Even went above and beyond to find me the perfect apartment based on my needs and wants. This man is a true active listener!! Professional with superior service, not afraid to give you the real!Thank you so much AJ!
I am working with Misty to become a resident at the Crossings of Canton. And so far, I am extremely pleased with her professionalism and kindness. My application did not transfer over all the information and she was kind enough to meet with me today to get the entire process started. Hopefully this will be a wonderful start to my becoming a resident at the Crossings of Canton.
This is the worst place i have ever lived the trash be so out of control at the trash compactor. They always raise your rent out the blue charging you for stuff that wasn’t in your lease originally. You can’t even get them to plow the snow . I have to walk all the way to the other side just to start my car . They couldn’t pay me to resign my lease i would rather be homeless
**PROSPECTIVE TENANT REVIEW**I decided not to move into this place only after all the red flags of future trouble. First, upon arrival to this property it looked ok nothing special. A little like a housing project. When I entered the leasing office to inquire, it took nearly 10 minutes to be acknowledged. Only one person was on the phone and the other women were chit chatting in an office. (STRIKE 1) Finally when I was acknowledge by a agent, she seemed to be slightly annoyed to have me there honestly. I guess I interrupted a good conversation. But long story short: I viewed the townhouses I interested in and one was very nice the other was quite dirty and dated. Such a big difference in the upkeep of certain buildings. I applied, got approved and suddenly the options I had change because someone allegedly had placed their deposit hold on townhouse A (which is slightly cheaper) so I decided that townhouse B would be fine and. Had some nice options. But to convince me that would work, it (B) was now cheaper than option A So I thought that was odd but a good deal. I left to go get the money from the bank and got tied up in some family business, so I didnt return right away. When I spoke to the agent again to tell her I got a little tied up, she told me that option A is now available and she misquoted me on the B.... SURE YOU DID...Anyway after reading some reviews on this place I got the impression this would not be a good option. So I asked the agent about some of the concerns I noticed (little visitor parking, not dumpsters near builds, not being able to view actually townhouse upon move-in without losing my deposit. That little voice in my head got louder and louder. The agent, again seemed to be annoyed by my inquires... STRIKES 2,3,4, and 5!I would not recommend this to any person who has expectations of quality customer services, slick talking agents and great expectations 😉
I have been living here for almost 6 years now... and this place has its ups and downs ( like any other place) but the staff is amazing A.J is so helpful and his personality is through the roof! Heather Fountain is another person that goes over and beyond to help and answer any questions that you may have and work out a solution...
Very Poor administration, its more than 50 days i didnt receive my deposit back. On enquiring i got to know that the forwarding address which I gave to them on the day vacating the house was not updated on their system. So now they will cancel the cheque and issue me a new one which will take another 3 weeks from here. I am literally frustrated and dont know what to do? In addition they wont contact you to pass on any information even if the cheque was made on 22nd August. The one star is just for Jorden who heard me and trying to get the things straight however she is also not sure when will i be getting my deposit back.Do anyone know where i can reach to Beztek directly.
Very unprofessional staff & rude don’t let the looks of this place full you. Garbage is always everywhere a lot of dope dealers and police always around not worth the money at all very old buildings. I’m moving as soon as my lease is up. The staff could care less about you your safety, the bugs they have the garbage etc I read all the bad reviews before I moved into this place but I took a chance anyway and I regret it!!
The Crossings at Canton is a place you can call home. I just signed up for my 5th lease here at The Crossings of Canton. Over the last two years The Crossings at Canton have tremendously made some great updates. The staff here at The Crossings of Canton a very polite courteous and most of all helpful and treat you like family. The maintenance staff are very courteous and helpful. The few times I had to make a maintenance request the job that needed done whats completed always within 24 hours. Living here at The Crossings of Canton you are within walking distance for groceries and or to purchase goodie bags. There are walking trails, bike trails and jogging trails right outside my back door. I am excited to see what this new year brings me living here at The Crossings a place I can call home.
Management cant even process applications in a timely manner to tell whether or not they have availability. Thank you Crystal Devine for going home early the day before and not submitting an individuals application so that I could waste my time, my lunch break, and place deposits and fill out an application for a unit that wasnt even available. Theres no point in filling out an online application if people are going to submit a paper application in the office that for one reason or another was submitted without any of the other office Personnel knowing the day before.
Great experience!! friendly staff always willing to answer questions and provide the best information would definitely recommend giving the tour a chance you’ll fall in love with the living arrangements from a new pool to movie theater just a walk to the club house!!
Earlier this year I think Beztak acquired this property. They immediately increase the rent by 20-30% which is okay but maintenance is terrible.I am attaching an image where management simply cancel the maintenance request without any information. I wont recommend moving here. Thanks.
Waters been shut off for the past 2 weeks at first we got a notice then after 2 days it just got turned off without notice basement floods atleast twice a month dont store anything in the cage it.will get ruined. And they charge.10$ a month for it not worth it at all maintenance. Is a joke i could go on for days....
Today I came to Canton and fell in love. I was initially told there was nothing available for my time frame but Misty was diligent in her efforts to locate me the apartment. And she did just that! Thank you Misty and Canton crossing for meeting my needs! Best apartment I’ve seen thus far!!!!!
We have had ant problems, leaks into our apartment, and our tubs coating had to be repaired 3 times this year. The first day we moved in the apartment was extremely dirty, paint all over the floor, bathroom was filthy with mud and dirt in the tub sink and floor, the kitchen floor still had old food on it. Half the plug ins dont work, and there are places on the wall that were not painted. Which brings me to the worse part of it all, the staff including MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE AT ALL! They show you a model apartment then dont let you see the actual apartment until you move in which means if you are not happy with the filth, holes, and the things that dont work you can decline the apartment however you are out of hundreds of dollars worth of deposits. Crystal seems sincere in how she talks and what she says however she does not follow through nor care, she has refused to return my phone call on multiple occasions and when asked about it, and i quote WE GET VERY BUSY AND CAN NOT BE EXPECTED TO RETURN EVERY PHONE CALL. This has been the case numerous times i went to the office and spoke to her. Lastly there is no pool, they tore it done with no answer to when or if there will be another.

2021-12-28People really pay $1200+ to live in this dump? This is the Projects of Canton. Maybe stop spending money on renovating this place and fix the potholes that are bigger than the Grand Canyon. Who needs the swimming pool open(which they never even opened) when you can swim in these potholes!

2022-02-23Don’t be fooled by the new property managers. They’re worse than the old ones. They have closed the same maintenance ticket three times without doing the work. They’re also lying to us about city ordinances, claiming the city requires water temperatures to be 120 degrees F or lower. I looked up the city ordinance, it clearly stated 120F minimum or HIGHER. They send over “city employees” in unmarked vehicles to continually throttle the hot water (in the bathtubs/showers only…. Because as everyone knows, city ordinances around water temperature only apply to the shower…). They “cover” our hot water costs. We then pay a flat fee to them. The fee has gone up, but the water is slowly being turned off. Pepper pike, the former managers, also tried this stunt. Now Beztak is doing the exact same thing. Thankfully my mom works in municipal government back home, so she’s been helping me though the process of beginning to make complaints to the city of canton.Don’t move in here. These people lie. Not to mention the garbage. Do you really want to live anywhere near this?

2022-06-18Moved into the apartment 7 weeks ago and I moved into a place with a moldy shower, filthy vents and a NON WORKING stove. Talked to management office and they put these down as EMERGENT work orders. I can say my shower is finally mold free after 6 weeks (and about a phone call/office visit/weekly) but I can’t say as much for the stove. I originally had a non functional stove and then they fixed one burner. After complaining every week (which is impossible to get ahold of anyone in the office) I now have 4 working burners but still NO OVEN. And I cannot get an update on when this will be fixed. For 1300+/month u would think I should have a working stove but I guess that’s too much to ask for. Also love that they never told me they had no license for the pool when I moved in until I asked last week why it wasn’t open yet.

2022-01-02(I never leave reviews but this place deserves one) Crossings at Canton is a literal cesspool. They allow their tenants to live in horrid conditions; excessive garbage, moldy ceilings, untimely maintenance people and awful service. I have reported them to the health department and to the city of canton. These are human rights violations and no one should be subject to these conditions. If your residence are paying 1300 a month to live in one of your units they shouldn’t have to see TRASH everywhere they walk, mold in the apartment complex and are owed proper service. This place should be shut down.

2022-04-250 stars if I could post it without selection.Been here 6 years. Happy to leave.BEWARE!!!!!!Ceiling leaks, toilet leaks, equipment room water leaks that go into the hallways and bedrooms, mold, ant, gnat, and fly issues that stem from the laundry rooms, people stealing laundry, and if you stay in a ground unit, your apartment might flood when heavy rainstorms are in the forecast. Be mindful. Not anywhere near worth the money. Its all cosmetic. Lets not talk about management. To get to the people you need to talk to, just call corporate in Ohio. I prefer staying elsewhere. Been downhill since they decided to renovate and double rent. Good luck.

2022-05-20It stinks, trash all over the place, has bugs, the office never answers the phone nor do they return calls. My boyfriend fell behind on finances over the winter and they would charge hundreds of dollars in late fees, plus charged him eviction fees each month he was late. Granted, hes always paid his rent and was therefor never evicted. There is no flexibility to help the tenant manage their finances. They do not accept partial payments at all, they charge a hefty $30 fee to run a credit card.At the steep prices they charge for these apartments you would think they would at least be nice. They arent. Theres literally pot holes and trash all over the parking lot. No one ever answers the office phones. Overpriced is what they are.

2022-03-31We just moved in on 3/28. We couldn’t see the unit before we paid 3800 dollars. The railings going upsta So many imperfections for the amount of money we paid. The stove was not cleaned. Nor the bedrooms. Yellow staining on the ceilings in the bathrooms. No garbage disposal after they said we would have one. Inside in the cabinet not cleaned I. The kitchen. I could continue but I’m sure it’s clear the place was not ready. I would say demand to see your place before giving them all of the move in cost.

2022-05-31PLEASE READ : I’m begging anyone who is looking to lease here turn away immediately. Maintenance is non existent .None of the promised amenities are available and there is only 1 trash can for the whole community.I went with out heat and air a whole year. My ceiling has been leaking brown liquid on and off for the past year to the point where I can’t even have clothes in my closet because so many of them have been destroyed due to maintenance not fixing the issue. I definitely will be reporting this apartment complex to the BBB and potentially Suing . Save yourself the stress XOXO

2022-02-26My girlfriend and I just moved in over the weekend and i am really satisfied. Their was a few minor issues but they worked very efficiently to get things taken care off. Beztak is really trying to fix the property the residents just need to do their part as well. I would recommend you live here if you welling to allow the change
