Comment: Really the only thing I could say bad about the place is the outside and elevators were dusty and dirty. But the lobby, my room, the restaurant and the snack area was clean. The windows walking up to the hotel were all dirty and had cobwebs. They really need to power wash the outside and mop the corners of the elevators. But my room was super clean, my bathroom in my room was clean, the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again.

As I watched people idly scroll through their phones for two hours. The embarrassment I felt during my sisters important ceremony is something Ill never forget.Whats worse is that despite reaching out to management, there has been no attempt to address or resolve the issue. Instead of addressing the issues head-on, he attempted to deceive me with false promises and a token credit, urging me to sweep the matter under the rug to avoid escalation to the corporate level.I have sent letter to corporate with attached copies of the emails exchanged, along with social proof, videos, and photos that were shared with Angela via wetransfer. Comment: Our event at the Crowne Plaza started 2 hours late due to the lack of help promised by management. The delay caused unnecessary stress and anxiety, especially during such a sensitive occasion. To make matters worse, the projector failed to work, leaving us unable to play the contribute video. We all watched as family began to leave while we scrambled around looking for resolutions. We had to buy a projector from a nearby store, find a tech guy to set it up, and endure the chaos of last-minute adjustments. Most of the family that came on time ended up leaving within the 2 hours we were waiting on technical issues to be resolved. Some left due to health conditions, because we also had issues with the temperature in the room. The lack of organization and preparation from the venues side was truly disappointing and disrespectful to the memory we were there to honor.

The promises made by the coordinator Alex turned out to be empty, and the manager Angelas dismissive attitude towards the concerns of my son in law, was apparent that she lacked empathy and honesty. The lack of privacy, fluctuating room temperature, premature food removal, and absence of reliable support underscored the establishments lack of professionalism. The events premature conclusion and managements failure to address these issues seriously further compounded our disappointment. Its disheartening that our expectations were not met, tarnishing what should have been a meaningful gathering to celebrate the life of a loved one. It was embarrassing.The photos are taken at 3:40pm and we did not get a resolution until 6pm. Mind you, the event started at 2pm.

Comment: The wifi sucks! It got disconnected from time to time. I ended up using my 5G data for most of the time. Room size is okay and is clean. Both chairs have in the room has low back so very uncomfortable. The front desk said he’ll give me a city view room in a way like he’s giving me a big favor, but it turned out a room right facing the high way which is very noisy.

Comment: The stay was close where I wanted to be however, myself and two other guest in my party woke up with itching. Looks like the room was clean for visual purposes but not actual clean.The air quality in the room was poor. My party woke up with stuffy nose, almost like allergies and ended up having to take zyrtec. Looking at the vent (photo), it appears it needs to be cleaned. In the bathroom, houskeeping didn’t clean up an apparent alcohol bottle (photo) so it makes me question if they can miss something this big, they’re likely missing the smaller things that can affect someone’s health.I also thought it was weird for a hotel to not have toothbrush, toothpaste, or minor amenities for it’s guests. Ended up having to pay over $5 for toothpaste.

Comment: This hotel is awesome. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was updated and spacious. The pool and hot tub are heated creating a relaxing evening. They have a snack bar that has some overpriced items but some that are not to badly priced. Our room gets 4 out of 5 stars because the shower head was a little broken. The atmosphere is very relaxing at this hotel and it is in a very nice area with plenty to see and do. The staff were friendly and professional. We will definitely visit this hotel again. Perfect place for a couple wanting to get away.

Comment: First, let’s get to the breakfast. I chose this hotel because it’s in the IHG (Holiday Inn) network. I added the breakfast to each night, thinking that’s all I needed to do.But no, once you get to breakfast, it’s a buffet, but you are bombarded with questions about coffee and juice before even sitting down. I didn’t think I was paying for full service, nor did the self-service buffet imply that. “Where are you sitting?” I don’t know yet! I’m still wiping sleepy out of my eyes! They are more worried with serving more coffee than water.But then, I figured it out. They leave a “bill” with an option to tip. Perfectly explains the aggressive wait staff. They’re not paid enough, so they’re “fighting over customers” to get tips. The one woman came over and asked to fill my coffee, I said no thank you, then she stared me in the eyes like I needed to take the coffee refill, or else.Then, they aggressively ask if you want anything custom from the back, hoping to drive up the tip amount. I just want relaxing self-serve water, coffee, juice and food. Like the Holiday Inn chain they are attached to.The food was mediocre, but good for buffet style, all I was looking for. Broad selection, etc.I stayed here while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The bed is comfy, the shower in the first room was leaking and crooked, but the second room had a perfect shower.The mini-fridge keeps drinks cold, AC works great, view is nice from the top floor. There just isn’t much relaxing furniture in the rooms. Two chairs that are ultra-modern and uncomfortable for lounging.The location and affordability are what sold me. Maybe I’ll try an actual Holiday Inn next time. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but won’t choose it again if I don’t have to.

Comment: In spite of the maintenance issues with this property, Im still giving it a 4 (and if I there were an option to give it a 4.5, I would). The thing that mattered the most was how great the staff was there. They simply were tuned into the customer. They geneuinely seemed to like helping customers out and seemed actually happy to see you walk through the door. Furthermore, there were no funky charges, lengthy holds on desposits or fake fees of any kind, so that the price I paid my travel agency was the total price for actual real. The location is one of my favorite neighborhoods on the planet; and Im a walker, so I loved being able to talke to The Lab, Camp and Southe Coast Plaza, among many other places. I love all the craft breweries in the neighborhood. The room was beautiful, awesome at first sight, but as one stayed on, maintenance issues kept coming up; and the hallway toward the laundry room and vending machine is kind of crazy with loud machinery noises and odd smells; and the laundry room itself is too hot too stay in. Again, thelobby and rooms, at first glance, look fantastic; and they were very kind to give me another room which was in perfect shape; so again, the customer service was perfect. (And another thing I like about the customer service is that this place is fully staffed. It isnt like the other hotels with one worn-out clerk rushing to do six jobs at once. Theres two people tending bar, two people at the front desk, and a maintenance guy whos at your room in five minutes.) I do wish they had an airport van, because, although Im a big walker, the entrance to the airport is clear on the other side of the freeway and up a mile after that; so theres no choice but to uber out of there or rent a car. In any case, if you get the right room, you cant beat this hotel for being a solid value and a good vibe.

Comment: Rooms are great, beds are some of the best hotel beds I have slept in, rooms are quiet and thick walls, never heard a neighbor any time I have been here! Security walking around the lot at night so feels safe, plenty of elevators. Restaurant is amazing too for breakfast and dinner with good cocktails. Staff is friendly, but not overly friendly and in your business every time you walk by. Over all a great stay every time I have been here, I stay here a lot while my house is renovated or just want to get away for a night. Would recommend here over the super over priced other options that are no where near the same quality as this spot.

I asked to move rooms to be closer to the router, received nothing about that. I log onto the wifi portal only to be kicked off and then having to log back in and then kicked off. Location is fine and the people in the restaurant are nice. Alexander at the front desk was the most helpful but he was not the one I spoke to about the internet. Expect to not get much work done if you decide to stay here. Pointless doing any zoom meetings.

Comment: I attemtped to check in today but my reservation booked through a 3rd party was not in the system. It took jsut under 1 hour of hold time and back and forth with the third-party booking company to resolve the issue, but during this time Alexander was more than accomodating. He offered a wi-fi password and helped me refill my water bottle while I was relegated to the lobby. Considering the circumstances, it could have been a much more furstrating experience, but Alexander made it not so. He managed my interaction and the inbound call from the company with ease even though the resolution required some out-of-the-ordinary procedures.

Comment: I honestly loved this hotel more then other hotels. It was so fancy, clean, and it smelled good. It didn’t smell like “hotel” if that makes sense lol, and on top of that, very affordable. I feel like it was nicer then the holiday inn and the service was great. My only complaint is that we had to pay $26 for parking. I always get free parking because I am a member with IHG, and one of the advantages of being a member is free parking, but I’m not sure why I had to pay for parking, So I was a little confused but I didn’t fight it because I just wanted to have a good day. Definitely visit this hotel if you haven’t already. It’s really really nice. Definitely will be coming back.

Comment: Ehhhh is about all I have to say. Front desk wasnt too nice, but did help me check in early so I could freshen up before a party. The hotel is right off the freeway and has zero views. Carpet is old and dirty. The whole thing seems very dated. Security is really lacking. Also theres no do not disturb signs provided in the rooms. Parking is $22 for an unsecured lot or garage. Soap is cheap and they barely give you any shampoo and no conditioner. For the price I will never be coming back.

It still has the wall A/C instead of central air and the view from my room wasnt great, but those are the only things I can think of pointing out.Everything else was great, location, staff, room comfort,etc. And best of all, they have awesome water pressure and a very enjoyable rainfall shower head, I cant think of another shower in a hotel Ive stayed at with such great pressure in the shower. Comment: I visited the Crown Plaza Costa Mesa for a company conference. My experience here was great with the exception of one thing.As seen in the attached photo, some of their staff thought it was a good idea to put door stops under the outside of the doors leading into/out of the conference room. Had there been an emergency that would have required everyone to exit the conference room in a hurry, the doors may not have opened.I had the tacos at the on site restaurant and they were really good and were prepared quickly, although the menu is limited.

Lots of amenities, laundry downstairs, pool and workout room. There was a mask mandate in the hotel. 70 percent of the guests ignored it and it wasnt enforced unfortunately

Thank you to the amazing staff for welcoming us and providing accommodations that were like they should be. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were quality. The shower and bathroom was modern and the toilet had a separate door from the bathroom. The hallways were clean as well as the elevator. The only downside is the parking cost $22/night. Needed an EV charger. Wouldn’t think twice to stay here again.

Comment: With Platinum Elite tier, we received 2 awarded rooms and it turned out the worst experience we have ever had.Check in 5PM on Friday December 3rd 2021, the receptionist said both of our rooms, 245 and 247, will include breakfast for all 6 people. Saturday morning, we checked again with a female receptionist before heading to the food counters for some food. 5 minutes later, a male receptionist names Javier James came and told us only 1 room included the breakfast and we had to pay?!?! I shoeed him the awarded rooms from IHG and everything is settled.However, when 1 of my guest was on his way leaving the hotel, Javier again talked out loud: “Hey come back and pay for the breakfast.” I had to park my car and and came inside again, with my presentation Javier said he had never said that?!?!It was very unprofessional and a terrible experience for my friends and family. We live in San Diego, only 1 hour drive from the hotel. If its not about my work in Orange County we wont ever use the hotel - itchy beds, cause red marks all iver my back, not very friendly staff, unprofessional receptionist Javier James, just very bad overall

We requested a new room but once we got into the new room, we found that the shower wall was busted in, the shower head was loose, the shower curtain rod is ready to fall out of its mounts, and the sink was cracked. Comment: My experience here was terrible. To start it all of there was no one to even help take the bags to the room meaning I had to do constant trips to the car & to the room. The window in the room which is facing the main road would not even close, due to it not being able to close I had to sleep to loud cars constantly passing by. Thirdly, the Ac which you would think is from way back in the day due to how loud is way was leaking causing a damp smell in the room. The carpet of the room had stains all over it along with the furniture in the room which did not make me feel good every-time I was in the room. As well as that as I went to the desk to make a complaint the lady was nice enough to offer another room, I went to view the room & that had a safe that didnt work to start of with, so I didnt not even want to know the other problems with this room so before moving everything there I returned the key to the lady & proceed to appointment I had. Coming back I informed the front desk I will be checking out due to all the problems I had with the property & asked for the returned money for the nights I had booked but I am not staying & the person at the desk who seems to be the manager tells me that I will have to go through Expedia. Thankfully I had booked through Expedia otherwise the property wouldnt of not returned any of the money, I know this as they still have not returned the money for the coming night of the day I checked out as I apparently checked out late, this is the most rubbish excuse anyone can give. The parking lot looked very sketchy & you can tell that it was used for random people who are not even staying at the hotel to meet up during the days instead of as hotel parking The only good thing my opinion was the location of the hotel as it was very close to everything. This is not the way to treat any customer. Really disappointed and wanted to put it out there so everyone else gets the proper picture & a heads up as it is not what it looks like on their website.

Elevator was questionable at best, so we primarily used the stairs, which were urine soaked and scary.We had two rooms which both had issues with locks. We had to ask maintenance to let us into our rooms every single time. The walls were peeling, showers were gross, and the parking structure was popular amongst the local druggies.Pros: comfortable beds. I noticed the second night my sheets had some little brown things and it was itchy. Resteraunt closed but the menu came up and said thethere was room service but there wasnt . I really needed to relax but couldnt. Front desk people were friendly. No shuttle but online it said there was. I was just bummed. I think freh coffee with cream down stairs would be easy to provide. So for me it was a bed to sleep in and watch a couple good movies. I thought it would be cheaper. Pool was cold and hit tub no jets which really was something I needed. Comment: We booked this hotel thinking we were getting a nice place to stay with great amenities. The room was clean and nice. Upon arrival we found out that a majority of the amenities on their web page had been canceled or taken away due to covid-19, so they said. After traveling 6 hours one way we were determined to stay and hang out around the pool. After booking in getting settled and making our way down to the pool / hot tub, we learned that the hot tub was out of service. These were things that we asked about when we booked our reservation and the front desk failed to mention it to us. The building and the rooms were nice. The staff had tried to accommodate us and kept blaming corporate office for the reasons why all the amenities were closed and other issues with the facility. Sorely disappointed with our stay because I was thinking that I was spending more money for a great hotel for vacation would be worth it but I was wrong. I would not stay here again.

Comment: The front desk clerk was super friendly and it might have been the quickest check in I have ever been threw. The room is HUGE and pretty close to perfectly clean(better than 98% of hotels). I love the furniture and the TV is easy to use. Plus, the shower has the biggest showered head(I love it) and a hand held shower head for easy use and the toilet is seperate from the rest of the bathroom, that has a very open floor plan.

The housekeeping crew left a luggage cart piled with garbage in the hallway for several days. They walked past it numerous times but did not take it away which is unacceptable especially during a pandemic. The room itself was clean and the location is close to shopping and fwy access. Good for short business trip or passing through town . There are better choices in the area if you are a leisure traveler.

The rooms clean and cozy but also functional. Always an excellent service since i was a little kid and my mom used to take me on trips.Theres an $8 USD charge for parking per car but its worth. Also a smoking area right at the front so you dont have to be looking for a far corner to do it. Little snack store right next to the front desk. A microwave and ice machine per floor. If you pay one of the pricier rooms you get more amenities even a Jacuzzi

Comment: Serice was inconsistent people in the same group as me checking in and checking out were offered different amenities even though we were all staying for the same reason. The carpet in the room was stained with what appeared to be fecal matter, there were spiders in my shower, and I could take a hot shower in the evening but in the morning no hot water it was just ice cold. The bathroom counter was dirty like it hadnt been washed in weeks. Several other people in the group I was with had similar complaints, some got comped free meals some didnt, I heard one person in my group even got a room upgrade again while others others with same issues got nothing.

Comment: The best thing about the stay was the morning shuttle driver who use to live in New York, friendly, helpful. He was simply a delight. The evening drivers left a lot to be desired. They acted like you were putting them out asking for a ride. We walked two miles one way to dinner to avoid their rudeness as well as using Lyft when the shuttle said it would be an hour before they could come. When we arrived at the hotel the shuttle was parked out front. Nice amenities, no vending machine but there is a store within walking distance.

Comment: I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza at least on 3 different occasions for work within 2 months and every time that I know that Ill be staying here I get so excited! Great location walking distance to South Coast plaza, 711, Mitsuwa (a Japanese supermarket) and a lot of great restaurants. All of this is WALKING DISTANCE! This hotel is great for business, couples and families. I have stayed at Crowne Plazas all around the world and this is my 3rd favorite! My favorite is still the one in Kobe, Japan. Another reason why I love this hotel is that once you are in the room you feel so relaxed. And trust me you are going to get a really good nights sleep cause their beds are clouds that have great support for your back. Just book here. Youre done searching.

Comment: Stayed here for a work conference. 2 stars because they are making efforts to update the rooms and do have a nice pool area with microwaves and fridges in the rooms. Downsides. Our AC thermostat didn’t work, our shower wouldn’t drain, and they said they would fix them but never did while we were there. They also advertise bigger rooms then they are and told us we could have a rollaway bed but showed up only to be told it is a fire hazard. Beds are comfortable and they are updating their rooms so maybe next year they will be better.

Comment: Service and hospitality was fantastic at this hotel - the best part is that they have a shuttle service that will bring you to anywhere within a 5 mile radius, including the neighbouring South Coast Plaza for endless shopping or even the nearby Costco.Around the time we stayed here, it seemed like they just finished renovating the rooms, so we were optimistic that we’d get a nice new room for our stay. The minute we stepped into the room however, the smell of old, musty carpets hit us like a freight truck. Everything was redone alright, from the headboard to the drapes, the cabinetry to the bathroom. But every time we’d leave and come back, it felt like we were entering the crypt.Bathrooms were ample sized, but had a few issues. The water pressure was WAY too strong so when you flushed the toilet it almost seemed like the pipes would burst. This also meant that their faucet can’t be opened all the way unless you wanted to test the pipes. Perhaps the cherry on top is when my mother accidentally pulled on the shower head, the whole thing dislodged from the wall.The hotel is easy enough to find as it’s right by the freeway exit. If you need to stay anywhere between Anaheim/Cypress/Cerritos and Mission Viejo area, this is pretty much right in the middle (bonus is that it’s not too far from SNA).

Comment: Might be ok...after reno. Same day reservation-- which started on the phone-- took so long, we actually arrived at the hotel before it was completed. Despite no one in line, the man at the desk would not help complete it, referring us to sit and wait for the person to return to the call. Finally finished with the 18 minute reservation, we approached the desk where it took another 10 minutes to find the reservation, check us in and provide a room key. Told it would have a view of the pool. It was a view of construction pods and the highway. Mused at a room taped off like a crime scene on the way to the room, then understood why. Verrry worn room: dark mark on ceiling above the bed, stained carpet, old furniture, impractical layout with no light convenient to the bed, cracking/peeling wallpaper, racewire track falling off wall, and, the barn door to the bathroom came off the track, temporarily locking me in the bathroom. Its clear they did mini renos at one point, focusing on the bathroom area to tide over and distract from the other necessaries, and asanother reviewer commented, it has a lovely, refreshing rainshower. Perfect, because the regular shower head kept flopping downwards toward the floor, refusing to stay upright in the mount with the water pressure on.Around 11:30pm, an odd chirping akin to a cricket began in the bathroom area. Searched, but couldnt find the source, though it insistantly bleated somewhere from the wall until travel exhaustion put me down. Woke after 7 am to the tap, tap, tap, bang, bang, bang, and whirr-buzz of construction. Not mad-- they really need it-- but after 8, at least? Please?The lobby restaurant is convenient for pretty presentation bar food and a very nice outdoor area ambiance with lovely glass fire pits. Hotel is conveniently located. To everything. Roll the dice, you may get lucky. Just make sure your jet/travel-lag doesnt have you wearing blinders when you arrive, and you duly take note of the giant stuffed bear with tools stuck all over his body in the lobby. He may be your neighbor.

Comment: I was here for a work event for 4 days. The hotel is under going major renovations. The hot water didn’t work in my room. I called several times, and each time they said it was working. I took 4 cold showers. The maid left my door open after she cleaned it. I happened to go up, after break luckily and was able to close it. When I called the front desk to tell them, they have an answer excuse, oh maby she’s coming back! NOT! Worthless. I would NOT recommend this hotel. The people at the front desk are clueless. They don’t understand they are in the service business.

Comment: My husband gets a room for us here almost every other weekend. I love it! Its very clean! The best are the comfortable beds!!! Omg, they are fluffy yet solid but not too firm. I need to check next time to see what type of mattress they are because I have to have one! I usually suffer from back pain when I get up in the mornings but not when Im there! Their breakfast lounge is very cozy. You got to try the beds for sure!!Updates: still a perfect stay! Always clean!Update 12-11-18: still perfect :-). Were there every weekend now usually Fridays and Saturdays for his business trips. We wouldnt have it any other way. I love the large shower head that covers your entire body for a speedy shower. I like the towel rack inside the shower to you dry up so you wont feel the chill outside. I also like the electrical sockets on the large desk and on both nightstands for easy convenient charging phones and laptops. Food! I tried their steak - delicious! My hubby had some small tacos and a sandwich, I dont remember the name he loved them both. Staff are very professional. Parking: theres always parking but not surprisingly on either Friday or Saturday the front parking will get full but no big deal, theres always parking in the back which makes the entrance to the hotel even shorter. Comment: Had high expectations for this hotel being an IHG Rewards member but unfortunately I aimed too high. The hotel looked nice and partially upgraded, but the only way I could really describe it is janky. They had one elevator to take us up to the rooms and it was barely working. When we arrived to our room at 330pm (30 min past check in) it was still being cleaned by house keeping. My family and I waited in the hallway with all our luggage for about 15 min until they finished. I called the front lobby to give them a heads up of what happened and their response was ok. I requested extra towels, and toiletries and never received them. The room itself was nice, bathroom was updated. The shower however, was very slow to drain. Filled up 1/4 of the tub about 5 min into my shower. Im not one to complain, but Ive stayed at Holiday Inn Express that were a lot nicer than this location.

The customer service in this hotel alone is incredible. EVERYONE has been very Tentative and extremely kind, always smiling! I believe Joseph is his name at the front desk who I delt with by phone first and then in the lobby, he is AWESOME. He put a smile on my face because I can tell he really cares about his job and me as a customer. There was a mix up with a room when I requested and early check in, He accommodated and apologized sincerely.I just had the BEST experience with Carmela our waitress at the Tavern. She is HANDS DOWN the BEST server I have ever had to wait on me. She herself, her presence and personality made My dining experience WONDERFUL. U dont see great customer service like this anymore. We had a very specific and to me difficult order request, she took the time to understand exactly how we wanted it and went to speak with the cook directly to ensure it was taken care of. Thank u to the COOK who completed our order perfectly. It turned out great! I also requested a couple specific requests on my order which one was forgot about. ( NOT A BIG DEAL AT ALL)(especially since the first order was so difficult, I understood) however she sincerely apologized and insisted on providing us an option for a discount. She seriously is amazing, she made my night and I will definitely like to go back just to have her wait on us again. Thanks Carmela! She is a very delightful person. Also the other employees working in the Tarvern were friendly and had us laughing all night.

Comment: Great service, no microwaves in the entire hotel though and you have to pay $14 for a parking pass which is fine if it was a one time thing but its $14 per day. Aside from that our A/C had to be fixed when we first got into the room and that was a little bit of a pain although it was taken care of quickly. We ordered a fridge and they brought one up free of charge which was nice. Room service was great but pricey. Over all the room was nice and service was good. But consider the parking and lack of microwaves before you book.

Comment: This was our first time to California and the only thing nice about this place was the location.. towels smelled, there was no ventilation fan in the bathroom, shower pressure was not good, even inexpensive motels, or hotels had a microwave and little fridge in them. In my opinion it ended up being to pricey and there was too much furniture items in the room and made it seem smaller. And I dont think u should have to pay for parking when the parking lot is not that big in the first place. I think well stick to inexpensive hotels from now on!

It looked like the area used for the hotels continental breakfast. There was no host station or any indication that the restaurant had employees. We encountered another couple equally confused about the situation. As any staff still had still not materialized, I called my friends to arrange a new location for dinner. I dont know if the other couple ever got to eat there. It was a very strange experience, and did not seem to align with the Crowne Plaza brand.

He saved my mom’s life that night when she got asthma attack, he has great medical experience, and more importantly he speaks many languages, Russian one of them for sure. Also he has a strong charisma and presence around the hotel. On the second day for me in Orange County at night after coming back to the hotel from work, I was Parking my car near the parking structure and I was scared to walk in the dark alone by myself then I saw him coming toward me and gently offered to walk with me to the lobby for extra security I felt so great because he realized my need at the time that was so nice of him. Comment: I stay here frequently and have mostly had a positive experience - there will always be a few things here and there in a hotel that go wrong, but staff is always very responsive and kind. Had my air-conditioning go out once in the middle of the night, within 15 mins at 2am a very friendly maintenance guy was pulling the entire unit out of the window and replacing the entire thing to ensure I wouldnt have any other issues during the night...he even came back with a vacuum to be sure he left everything clean for me...at 2am. Thats pretty top notch service. Rooms are recently renovated with nice decor, nice touch with a high end rainfall showerhead and a wardrobe. New mattresses, which are great. Restaurant has good food and breakfast. Never had noise issues, and its really well located for easy on/off 405 and to SNA.

Comment: I have stayed at this hotel twice for conferences through my work. Neither time was great this most recent time was quite awful.It started with being stranded at the airport. The hotel has a complementary shuttle that picks you up from the airport. I called 4 times and waited over an hour for the shuttle. Each time I called I got completely different information.Call 1: Stand between pillars 7 and 9 for the pick up.I stood there for about 10 min but I could see a complementary shuttle terminal not too far away so I decided that was likely where I was suppose to be so I stood there for another 15 min then called again.Call 2: I tried to double check that I was at the right place and the woman on the phone told me to ask someone who works at the airport where I am suppose to go. She then tried to lecture me for 6-7min that hotel personnel do not work at the airport. She was extremely condescending, and apparently has no idea where her guests are suppose to go to meet the shuttle. So I waited another 20 min and called again.Call 3: This call did not get through to a person.After an hour I made call 4.Call 4: He was amazing. He contacted the driver to come get me, because apparently that had not been done yet.The rest of the hotel stay can be summed up with: NO. Hot. Water.If you like cold showers in the middle of January then no problem!

Hopfully black mold isnt growing :/ it is unfortunate since I like this room it just needs better maintenance. Comment: Hotel is conveniently located close to John Wayne Airport (SNA) and work. They provide shuttle service to the airport - nice. The restaurant on site has good food and service is usually good. I’m kind of partial to the French dip. The front desk is courteous and accommodating. Parking is $14/day which is ridiculous. The last room I stayed in was very dated and in need of an update. To much furniture for such a small room. The AC is also in need of updating. One of the elevators was broken when I was there so we all used the single, slow elevator up front. Overall, this isn’t the worse place I’ve stayed but I think I will check out some of the other options in the area.

Comment: I absolutely loved my stay here. Only problem was i needed a place to stay on short notice and I compared prices online and it said 90 a night. ended up being almost double that! but I was too tired to argue. room was nice and clean. They have AMAZING new beds with great pillows I wish I could have taken home. I usually hate hotel soap. but their soap was exceptional. Did not leave my skin or hair dry. they have essential oil lotion next to the bed to help you sleep. the bar soap was lemon grass and smelled so great. the shampoo and conditioner was amazing. They really think about their guests.

Comment: Overall the building and room were in pretty good condition. The hotel is situated in s very good spot. Close to breweries and eateries. Close to the the freeway. Not very noisy where I stayed on the fifth floor. The only complaint I would give is that the person at the evening front desk seemed pretty rude (Alex is his name). I called to ask where my luggage was ( since they didnt have my room ready I left it to get lunch) and Alex seemed like he was annoyed with my questions. Even moreso when I asked if it could be brought to my room. Also another time when I asked a simple question of whether I could get a late check out or not he rudly replied with call back in the morning and hung up. I typically dont write reviews about a person and would rather review the place but this person really urked me enough to write about him. I think he needs to be more educated on how to manage the fort desk more and phone etiquette before working in such a customer service heavy job. In summation, Crowne plaza is a good place if you like the convenience of things, airport, food, breweries, and the freeway.

Comment: Stayed 2 nites for high school reunion festivities. All staff, organizers associated with the hotel were excellent. Food, drinks were wonderful. Rooms clean, well appointed, bed very comfortable. Breakfast buffet really good. Beautiful pool....it was however, cold, not heated until I got in it, and told the grounds keeper. He then turned on heater. That is really the Only negative about this very Beautiful Hotel. We have already decided to return here in 5 years for our next reunion....not wait for 10 years, because it was So Fun!!!

Comment: Generally OK, depending on your purpose. Fairly basic, somewhat dated looks. Couldnt shut down the fan of the wall mounted/window AC as no control would work - pulled it out of the plug that fixed the problem. Shower heads (double - huge overhead + smaller handheld) tricky to operate with difficulty exclusively letting water flow through one or the other. Breakfast served coffee without a stir or small spoon - had to stir my coffee with the handle of my fork. But on the good note the food was tasty and the bed comfortable. To have a lodging on a business trip this will do, but dont expect a luxury setting.

Comment: Ive driven past this hotel many times but hadnt stayed there until recently. It was very clean, quiet but had many guests using the amenities. Much livelier than i wouldve expected. Overall a quiet, relaxing stay, would recommend.

Comment: The hotel was very nice to stay in. It was quiet and conveniently located next door to a McDonalds. The hotel bar and restaurant for more than adequate to fit my needs. My biggest problem was that the cable TV in my room did not get all of the channels. Other than that my stay was nice, the staff was more than helpful in my room was clean. The hotel is very convenient as it is just off of the 405 freeway and in close proximity to John Wayne Airport.

Comment: Great size room. Very comfortable, clean and modern. I asked for 2 queen beds but got a King instead. Not really an issue but wish they paid attention. Consierge was very friendly, polite, and attentive although I didnt know I had to put the parking pass on my car until I walked out and noticed other cars had them. Overall Id book again!

Now I can understand of a freak incident would take it out for one morning, but two mornings in a row is neglecting the problem. Approaching the front desk all I got was a sorry, it should be fixed. Comment: Reserved a room for one night. Check-in was smooth and easy. Room was clean. The place felt a little dated but not dirty. Coming and going was easy. Only thing was having to get a parking pass for overnight parking, which was more just an inconvenience than anything.

Comment: Nice Hotel and Friendly Staff. Our stay was in June 2017. The hotel and rooms are appealing, as well as clean and orderly. We liked having ice cold drinking water, in the lobby, to keep hydrated. There are an abundance of restaurants, both chain and privately owned, as well as shopping, within walking distance.The rooms are a nice size. Large enough that my husband and I were not bumping into each other. The soaps and lotion in the bathroom are definitely an upgrade from what is usually in a hotel. It was a nice treat! We asked for a refrigerator and it was brought to our room. The room next to us was occupied with 2 dogs; they barked the entire time the owners were at breakfast. When talking to the staff about this, they advised that if we were ever to run into this problem again, we should call security. We never thought to do that, but will certainly do it in the future.

Comment: New favorite hotel near Disneyland. 5 points I look at in this order. Cleanliness, bed comfort, shower/bath, employees attitudes/cheerfulness and price. 5 out of 5. Very clean room with new beds. Slept like a rock. The shower was the big surprise. Rain shower head and pressure was fantastic. If we can always get the price we got this time off of there website.. I will be staying there again.

Comment: Crown Plaza was probably excellent at one time; the property has nice features but is not well maintained. Room was nice, but did not have a refrigerator, dresser or towel racks in bathroom. Comment: I was in town for an appointment for my son at the Amen Clinic. Since we were traveling from 1200 miles away I booked a package through Travelocity. Only upon getting to the hotel was I informed that since I didnt book through them breakfast and parking were extra. I was really flabbergasted at this. In all the traveling I have done, hotel guest is hotel guest, and parking is always included in price, and most often breakfast is as well. When I told the desk staff I didnt realize that parking was not included (we stayed 4 nights), they said if I booked through them next time I would get the free parking, without regard to a package discount I needed to fly and rent a car to get to the appointment. When we did have breakfast at the hotel, it was nice, but not worth the $16 for myself and a child each for a standard hotel breakfast. We have follow up appointments, but will have to think about staying at Plaza again.

Comment: Loved the stay here. We checked in a bit early (2:00 pm), and got a room with a single king bed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice (with a great shower), and the service at the front desk was excellent. Parking was $10/night, which is more than Im used to paying where I live, but significantly cheaper than other similar nearby options (Im looking at you, Westin). Overall, this hotel was great and well worth the price we paid. Would recommend.

Comment: The entire hotel is decent but a bit run down around the edges. Our room had poorly installed wall stickers that were lined up incorrectly Im the panel, holes in the door patched up with mismatched paint, and a strained couch to to it all off. The other wont might be slightly newer or better looking, but the experience at theexecutive wingactually felt like a motel than a hotel. Convenience plays a great part in my rating for this hotel so while the hotel itself might not be that nice, the overall rating gets a bump for proximity to the freeway and a Wallace neighborhood with a surprising amount of options for food.

Comment: Friendly staff, convenient location. We enjoyed our 6 night stay at the hotel; there is no mini fridge in the room but we were able to request one from the front desk. The hotel is in walking distance to South Coast Plaza and The Camp where you can find some really good eateries. Ample parking available for a daily fee. Rooms and beds were clean. Very small fitness room; it looks like they just converted a regular room into a fitness center. If youre a 24 Hour Fitness member, there is a Super Sport nearby, go there instead.

Comment: Stayed 2 nights. Alex and his co worker were great....friendly and helpful. Room clean and spacious. Ate in the bar. Food good...not great. Duck fries were white and soggy, not cooked enough. Taste of duck and sauce was very good. Hamburger very good. I have 2 complaints......martinis are $15.50....crazy over priced. The next day we left the hotel and returned at 2:45pm.....our room had not been cleaned!!!! We asked for clean towels from the housekeeper and that was it!

Comment: We stayed at the Crowne Plaza so we were walking distance to the South Coast Plaza for Black Friday. We stayed for 7 nights in an accessible room with 2 queens. The room was roomy, neat & clean. All the staff were helpful especially Roy and nothing was too much when asked. There was always iced water & fruit water at reception for the guests. You could hire a refrigerator if you wanted one in your room.There is a free shuttle service that will take you anywhere in a 5 mile radius of the hotel.You had to book a time to go and they would also pick you up from where you were dropped when you were ready to return. We ate thanks giving dinner at Maggianos Little Italy which was fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend the Crowne Plaza for people staying in Costa Mesa.

Comment: Pretty clean and overall good hotel. Bathrooms were well stocked, room looked fine. The only gripe were some small things werent where we thought (AC controls on the wall rather than on the actual unit). The front parking also fills up rather quickly (however there is more parking in the back). Convenient location being right off the freeway and next to a McDonalds, would definitely come back again!

Comment: I loved this hotel when the Crowne Plaza first took it over from a private company. However, the hotel rooms are already showing sign of wear. The rooms with glass showers were amazing a couple years ago, now they have signs of mildew, the door does not seal and water gets all over the floor. The frame of our mirror fell off and you could tell it was never properly repaired in the past. The restaurant and staff all do great job, but they need to stay up on the maintenance.

Comment: Went to the Crowne Plaza for work functions. Did not stay in a room. The meeting rooms were clean and well kept. The bar/restaurant on site was generally pretty good. The beer was reasonably priced.The manager of the bar/restaurant was extremely overbearing and overfamiliar and attempted to be funny or entertain us at every opportunity. No one found his antics to be amusing.
