CSL Plasma in other cities:
I have only been donating a couple months, but every employee I have seen has made it a pleasant experience. Especially Margo, she is always so happy, her cheery attitude is contagious. Occasionally the lines take a little longer to get through than it should, but that is the only issue I have come across. Thanks to all the employees for making donating a pleasant experience.
Facility is clean. Most staff members are friendly & good at their jobs. Ive never had a problem being stuck - usually pain free & quick. Denise is extremely knowledgeable & competent. Also British, Nickie, Bernard & Taylor are top notch. Lately the lines have been extremely long but they hustle to get people through. There are a few that seem to move much more slowly but it seems like maybe theyve been short staffed lately.
This team is an incredible team. They work together to make sure you need what you need. They are concerned about the patient more than themselves. The team player I would nominate the best worker would have to be Margo she goes over and beyond for people. And I personally feel that she needs to be a higher up manager. She does excellent at training she can jump job to job effortlessly she knows and loves her job you can tell.
I feel I have no choice but to leave this review. Today is not the first time it has taken forever to get dcd when my machines cycle has ended. It was very slow today, Im thinking because of the weather, so I hoped to be in and out in less than an hour.I came in at 8, was screened and hooked up in less than 15 minutes. Completely done with my 880 units by 8:50. I literally sat for 30 minutes waiting to be dcd. The man to my left had been hooked up after me, but without question, was dcd before me. This is not the first time here that this has been done to me personally. I may not be loud, but the employees never seem to take notice of the machines and the order in which they take donors off. It really upsets me that some people are not honest. I am civil and always courteous. But this was the last straw with me today. I may not be back. The workers who seem most competent in their jobs are Margo, British, Bernard, and Denise. They pay attention and always ask who was first.
I love donating here (I am a Platinum donor), the staff is friendly, but the communication with donors is nonexistent...I donate when I get out of work and with the new hours they have I have not been able to donate twice now. The first time it was because they abruptly started closing at 5, so I started getting there at 7 when they open. It takes me around 45 minutes to drive here to even donate. Today when I pulled up at about 6:45 there was no line and the lights were off inside. There was a new sign on the door stating that the new hours are 9-5. I would think that they could have at least sent a mass email to all donors, or sent a notification in the app. The hours listed on Google are even still showing 7am to 8pm. I understand that they are short staffed right now and I am not upset that the hours changed, I get that, what I am upset with is the zero amount of communication. I may have to think about donating elsewhere if the hours will be staying like this. I probably wont find out because there is no communication when things change.
Friendly and professional staff. Would recommend for many benefits, customer service is fantastic. Margot is a sweetheart that cared for my needs when they needed to be met. Would recommend to any family member or friend that is for saving lives and making a difference In the world and for others. Elise Miller
Abby is friendly and accommodating to the customers. The team at Flint works well together and stays open for the customers that come closer to closing to make sure customers come first and there is a plasma supply for those in need. A win win for all. I enjoy going to a business without complaining employees. They are happy here and glad to work.
Very friendly staff. Quick check-in process. I was sent away by a different location for being short staff and unable to take in new patients. Flint took me right in. Everyone friendly. Abby was very helpful and walked me through the whole process. Will definitely be back.
Would be nice if they did their job. Maybe answered the phone, or Helped Donors with the App or rewards when asked for help.. So much for friendly helpful staff like advertised dont recommend donating here find another company to donate with so far my and my family experience here hasnt been great
I would give it 5 stars, but 2½-3 hours to get through the process is ridiculous. The process used to be an hour; but management understaffs this facility. I watch the poor line workers hustle their butts off and do a great job, but they can only move people along so fast without proper staffing
Ive been going to this plasma center for a month!! And honestly they are great!! The center is clean, the bathroom is clean, the employees are super nice and sweet!! Very professional! I wish I can name them all and give them props!! But ofcourse I can only remember one, her name is abby she is sweet as pie go in there and enjoy the atmosphere and amazing experience. While you are giving plasma and helping someone out, you have a good time while you are in there!!!
Was going to the Grand Blanc location since Feb. Thought it was okay for blood and needles and such... Then they changed their hours, so I stumbled upon the Miller Rd location. This place is so much more comfortable! ATMOSPHERE, energy, people who work here and patrons are all absolutely amazing. P. S. At the GB location I always had a high heart rate and most times couldnt donate. Nicole both times, so far, made me so comfortable in screening that my heart rate was under 95. WIN WIN 🏆💪
Ive been donating here for a while. Almost all of the staff are very nice, no ones really been rude or inappropriate. They play music over the PA while you donate which is nice, although it would be really nice if they showed a movie like Talecris, but thats expense and a hassle so I get it. One very nice worker was named Margot, shes an MSA.
CSL Plasma in Flint are very professional. Regardless of how busy they are they never seem to be overwhelmed and keep their cool. The staff is very friendly and treat everyone with respect. Nickie in particular is very kind and professional. She always addresses me by name when I come in. She is also always courteous and makes me feel comfortable and engages in conversation.
After the first time they are the slowest I’ve ever been to, even after logging in on your phone in the parking lot, you still have a line to wait to get screened and then a line before you go to the floor. And this is anywhere from opening time to 10 when I walked out. SLOW and nowhere for you to sit while waiting
The staff is amazing! Always going above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, safe, and feel appreciated. You come to know everyone on a personal level and look forward to seeing them! Clean facility for extra assurance of safety and It’s a great way to give back but also make a little extra Xmas money.
This used to be a decent place to donate but not so much anymore. Its always dirty and the staff have no sense of speed whatsoever. It used to only take an hour at the most to donate and now it takes 2+ hours. It stinks, the bathroom is always trashed and the employees dont care.
Imma keep it real with you guys. They are somewhat nice but very slow when you need to be screen. Also i ask for help because my return was not returning like it should. One employee ask why i eat so i told her. Instead of helping me she gose hook up two more then help with the problem. It fix it self but still not Acceptable. So if you want time Consuming and unhelpful staff come right in if this is your only places to donate im sorry for yall go to Talecris on in burton by Gm way better and helpful trust me.
Tasha, April, Nickie, and Taylor have been the best part of my experience at Flints CSL plasma. They explain everything that is going on and even make an hour of sitting still enjoyable. Their professionalism and humor are the perfect mix for an enjoyable experience. There have been a couple of other staff members who have been cold shouldered and short and/or quiet with there responses, but when you get the right people it is such a relief. Thank you ladies!!! See you again soon!
Great experience there. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to your needs. The building is super clean and theres always good music on.Ive been given free masks and candy also a drinkAlso the biggest perk is everyone there is amazing with the needle I promise you wont feel it.
Theres always one employee that makes the process horrible! Everyone was gentle and kind! I will return, I just dont want that one person to ever service me. Harsh cruel inconsiderate and rude! This is a place of Business! To talk the way she did made me very uncomfortable! Employee customer service has improved due to the fact alot of them have been replaced! Keep weeding out please! Giving plasma can be fatal if its not properly maintained by the phlebotomist! Filter was clogged and air was entering my veins! Strict diet and plenty of water! Phlebotomist forgot to unclamp one of the attachments to stop and start blood flow! Thats when things got horribly wrong! Shes ranting and raving its your fault when the whole time she didnt go behind herself to check if she had everything in order. It took for another phlebotomist to come over and say why didnt you connect this line and restart this one! Filter was enlarged almost at combustion! Im praying it never happens again and now I know what to look for before and after I start donating.
I walked in, found where new donor area was, stood patiently for too long and was just ignored. Waited for at least an acknowledgment as I was seen by a worker but he said nothing. I was the only one standing in line. I said you all have a nice day. The music was too loud also. Wont be returning.
I enjoy donating plasma its a great place to go when you want to do a good deed by giving something to people who counts on others for medicine is a great deal to donate and it was absolutely a smooth experience and the staff their are great thanks for the experience Ill continue to donate and experience the feeling of helping someone for as long as I can.
Well I had a good experience with the workers and management at CSL can I know I talk loud and they tell me to be quiet but everyone still get along with me I hate when they deferred me but other than that I recommend I do recommend a lot of people to come up here keep up the good work csal.
I love the place and employees are very nice and makes sure you are comfortable as u donateMargo Shields is one of the nicest workers i know i would suggest this place to anyoneI Never thought i would love donating this muchThanks CSL on Miller RdAslo Bree is one of the coolest fastest worker and she makes sure youre comfortable before and after donating
I have been a donor at this location since it first opened. My first experience here was really quite enjoyable. Years later, I still look forward to my next donation day. My last visit was on Thursday 11-5-2020...it is like coming home for the holidays...I always feel very comfortable and safe...each of the employees I have interacted with have been very kind and uplifting...I have no fears or apprehension about my next donation...I feel like family here...
Originally I did not have a clue about donating plasma, where to go or anything involved with the entire process. CSL Plasma on Linden Road in Flint changed that. From day one I was made to feel special. I see smiles as soon as I walk in the door. The atmosphere during the entire process is clean, warm & friendly. The staff remind me of one big family. The actual donation time is quick and painless. Usually no waiting so Im out in less than an hour.I really enjoy the time there. I feel like Im part of their family.I have talked to other donors who enjoy coming there also.CSL Plasma is a great place to go and knowing it helps others is a wonderful feeling.
I was the 1st time donor I was so scared scared this one lady (MARGO SHIELDS) came and help me she made it so I wasnt scared no scared no more and she actually made me feel like a person CSL Plasma in Flat made me me feel like Im actually helping people and and saving lives and helping with Madison I never knew none of this stuff stuff but I am so grateful that MARGO SHIELDS helped me out. She deserves to be the employee of the month...
Ive been going here for awhile now. Some days they can be slow. My worst day, it took 2 1/2 hours from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out the door. Normally it takes almost 2 hours. Ive also gone to their competitor and they consistently had me out the door in about an hour and 15 minutes. CSL at this location seems to be making improvements in quickness and I like the employees. Everyone seemed happy today.
I have been donating for years and been to a few different donation centers and the Linden rd location has become my favorite, the staff are all friendly, professional and good at what they do, I donated today and had Taylor, one of the relatively newer team members and she was well trained and did awesome, I am considered a hard stick as I have deep veins but she hit it on the first try and I had a smooth donation good job Taylor.
Been here once...hopefully my visits from here on out do not require anymore videos, tests or anything else that holds up the actual donation process. The woman who started the donation process was very skilled, knowledgeable and explained everything to me about the process and equipment. The only thing I didnt like was the way some of the people on the donation floor visited with one another as it was very unprofessional even though they would return to a professional demeanor after the talking stopped. They should be open longer hours for people who work during the day.
This is the worst place to donate plasma. I recently moved to flint and went to donate here. My first few visits were great. After that it went down hill. I lost a few pounds and nobody told me I would get less money so naturally I was upset and said something about it. The next time I went in I had to to talk to medical and while Im talking to the medical staff this lady comes in without knocking on the closed door and starts giving me the third degree like she is a cop trying to get a confession out of me. I had a few choice words for her and walked out.People go elsewhere.
I don’t know if they’re making cutbacks, but they really shouldn’t considering the long lines they have. It’s not the technicians fault, but the company as a whole failed. I come in and the intake staff rambles and mumbles the “I revoke my previous consent” blah blah blah. There was trash on the beds, and floors. I have been sitting in this chair for 30 minutes, and another 30 waiting in line .Im Still waiting to get stuck. This place is ridiculous.
So I went to donate and was told I’d get 50 dollars if I made it to the back. TWO people told me this and I had a 6 dollar coupon from the internet. I should have received $56 but instead I only received $10 because they said my veins were too small to use. I’m sure that was the case however they never told me I would just get $10 for all I had to go through. They absolutely told me $50 if I made it to the back and did not follow through with what they told me. I’m definitely going to let social media know that they are not honest.
Ruder then rude! After I said I was not a first time person and picked up my stuff to go sit in my car because I was waiting for someone in the same spot for 1 hour. The girl worker keep making the remarks about how mad I was about having to go sit in the waiting area. No one i was more mad about how you are treating me two you could of said it nicer three I was sitting in the same spot for 1 dam hour and you never said a thing.
Employees very rude towards end of day. They need to learn that staying after is part of the job and stop being cry babies. If you dont like it dont take it out on customers and find another job. Also the beds and blood pressure machine should be cleaned everytime! Tired of going in and smelling bo and sitting on someone elses body fluids!
My wife donates at the CSL plasma center on Linden Road. She donated this past Thursday which was her 8th donation, she was to get $40.00 plus $75.00. She got the $40.00 but did not get the $75.00 was told that they where having problems with giving the $75.00. Not sure why one amount would go thorugh but the other would not. She called for the past two days to find things out was told on first call to check at mid night and to call the next day, she calls but was told they would not know anything until Monday. She drives 4.8 miles to donate there, its a waste of time and gas to do this. Think its time to go to another place.
Very nice staff they were really helpful and knowledgeable, But my only issue is tried to go on my lunch and they were 2 hours behind, i dont know about all people, but most people in this location work a regular 9-5 job, it would be nice if i could go in at least once or twice on the weekdays after work..
I came here to donate and then was told I cant due to my veins being to small for the needles (they dont seem very smart either), I explained to them I have donated at a different place for almost a year awhile back (this place is closer) and they still wouldnt allow me to. So now I wasted gas and time (I live 30 mins away). Also while Ive been waiting for my friend, they got blood all over his shirt and they seem to not be very professional, Ive heard them talking about a donator which is very rude.
Im a new donor here and they all bruise you even if you. The band aids they use bruise you also!!!! Ive been deferd twice because of what they did to both of my arms. Im literally convinced that they are instructed to bruise you. That way you never get to receive any bonuses because they keep you bruised up. So you dont get paid. If you value your own health!!!! I highly dont recommend that anyone go to any of the csl places. It is nothing but a sham.
Good only when you have a phlebotomist who knows what they are doing. if you have difficult veins the newer phlebotomist will bruise your arm every time, and guess what, you cant go back till it heals. Ive been able to donate 5 times in 2 months because of this. ASK FOR SOMEONE EXPERIENCED.
Been donating for almost a year until last week I had to get some labs done my Dr ordered. I was told I couldnt donate until I got a drs note, so I did. I no longer can donate there as they are claiming I lied about the medication Dr put me on DAYS AFTER I was at CSL . I couldnt tell them something I didnt even know yet! Are these people even qualified to work here? They will defer people any way they can. Sad for the people who need the plasma. I will stear donors away from the Miller rd. CSL.
I have donated three times now.. they never wipe the beds down. Never change gloves. Blood got on the glove while working on my boyfriend and she went to three other people with the same bloody gloves and came back to my boyfriend and he asked her to change her gloves.. she said why its your blood?? Disgusting!! Very unsanitary.. During the physical never tested for Aids or drugs.. Never did a pee test.. Nothing.. Too lenient. Will not go back. Afraid of catching something. Very fearful of the plasma going out. Feel sorry for those receiving the plasma :( They should be shutdown..
Most of the employees are rude harassed me because I wouldnt let her go in the same are as last time, sorry I dont want my veins blown out by you people as she continued to fish for a vein with the needle in the skin not even sorry for this review I could have done there job better 🤷

2022-04-14I have been there 4 times and the staff is so friendly and they do a great job keeping everything moving smoothly. My blood is a tad thick so sometimes I set off the machine. They are so great about coming and getting it going again. I am a problem child and they are great about it! Very nice people!

2022-04-06EDIT: This edit has nothing to do with the Miller Rd location staff, they are great at their jobs, this is more so with CSL as a company. Card policies have changed, now they charge you $2 to simply check the balance and you cant use the card for most online purchases, regardless that its a Visa. Pay is less now, even though they make well over a thousand per donation. Complete VAMPIRE corp and I will stop donating. They are stealing your energy. The best place in Flint to come donate plasma. They are very professional and timely about everything, very helpful and kind. Abby is one of mine and my moms favorites, we love seeing her in, but everyone goes above and beyond here. Definitely recommend if you got free time. Get paid and get to help others :)

2022-06-05Ive donated 3 times and each donation went smoothly. The staff is very informative and friendly.
