Culvers in other cities:
The food was good but it took them 45 minutes to make 3 things when there was barely anyone in the drive thru or inside. While we were standing there waiting for our food, the 10+ employees “working” were just standing there talking. I saw an employee grab a handful of fries from an order that was going to someone in the drive thru. I was reluctant to even eat my food.
I was there last night at the drive through. The workers there are so nice. They all really deserve a raise. For the hard work that they all out in. The girls that I had that took care of me were truely amazing people. I wish the best of luck for these amazing workers.
After spending 1000s of dollars with them since opening this store, we will never go there again. We placed a 90 dollar order, was missing some items, so we called them and explained, they told us to come up there and they will give us the missing items. I get there and the line is wrapped around the building, considering the other food is back at my office getting cold, I called and asked to talk to the manager and if she can bring out the items I was missing. She replied with no you can go through the drive through. Waiting nearly a 25 minutes to get the rest of my order is unacceptable. The way the manager handled this is unacceptable. You lost a local business with over 15 people who will never be supporting your business again.
We love Culvers, but not this location. First, their employees are cold and unfriendly. Also, their portions are skimpy compared to other Culvers. They are so cheap, they even charge you 20 cents extra for a tomato on your sandwich, which other Culver stores do not do. We ordered pot roast sandwiches, and the bottom bun was soggy wet because they did not drain the water off the meat. Disappointing!
This has nothing to do with this Culver In particular but about Culvers overall. How can you sell a $9.99 burger meal that includes a drink but cant sell a 2pcs fish meal for $11.49 without a drink included?! Then when you receive your fish dinner youre skimpy on the fries. You can keep the Coleslaw , Ill take the soft drink instead.
***Update: 2/7/2022 Theyre beginning to drop the ball here...what is it with positioning rude and socially inept employees at the drive through? They practically do not speak and have this tone with you. God forbid they tell you thank you or have a nice day. Only reason for update is because this is probably the third or fourth time in recent weeks experiencing this. At least put someone with a personality at that position. Its disappointing to see what started out strong being compromised by disinterested employees.***Never been to Culvers before. Impressive. Fish and Chips were nicely done; tasty, well presented, fairly priced. More impressive was the inviting (and gracious) attitudes/service of the employees. They seem friendly, well trained and efficient. Good job! See you again soon!
Wonderful, they have the best fish dinners; you can order 1,2 or 3 pieces; this comes with fries and coleslaw, and butter. Well worth the price. The chicken sandwich was good also, although if you want any mayo or sauce you have to ask for it. They also have ice cream and they make the best specialty shakes. This is one of my top 10 places to eat.
Great burger with fresh veggie toppings, and delicious crinkle cut fries! My wife loves the gluten free bun as well.Update: I still love this place. Ive tried quite a few other menu items like the fish and chips, chicken sandwiches, melts, Reuben, etc and theyve all been excellent. The staff is always friendly and prompt, even when theyre overwhelmingly busy.
The staff at this location are regularly overburdened with customers, and yet theyre accurate, helpful, and friendly. If they get something wrong, theyll quickly fix it, without getting frustrated with you. I appreciate their resilience, at what I know is the most difficult time to be serving in a fast food restaurant. Thank you all for your hard work. You feed our community, and I have so much gratitude and respect for all of you. They have the best spicy chicken sandwich I have ever had! They have interesting options you wouldnt normally find at a fast food place. I ordered their steamed broccoli as a side, and found it totally delicious, aside from giving me some much needed iron and vitamin c! But its not all micronutrients, Culvers has a wide variety of scrumptious, greasy, cheesy junk food thats sure to satisfy the teenager within 😀 The crinkle cut fries are crispy, perfectly salty, and practically irresistible.
First off, my spicy chicken sandwich was very good. However, they really need to figure out the drive-thru operation for better service and explain their system to customers!I have never had Culver’s before. I went through the drive-thru and the employee handed me a plastic number without saying anything to me. I asked what it was, she said it was to put on your car door handle and that I needed to pull up. There was a car already in front of me, so I had not much room to pull up. Then another employee yells out the window and tells me to go park in the parking lot (which was full).I ordered one thing, a Chicken sandwich. A few minutes went by and the customer that was before me who ordered $25 of food got their order and I waited another 5 minutes. I was about to go inside, when a employee came outside looking all over turning her head with a bag of food in her hand. I had to drive to her and yell out of my window to get my food! The whole point of going through a drive thru is for fast and easy service. I am put off from going back through the drive thru.
Burger patties have a good crust on them to add to their taste . The cheese curds are great for a change up instead of fries. The flavor of the day of their custard ice cream adds variety but can also be hit or miss if you dont like that mix. Food is all cooked and made to order so you will often see cars parked around the front of the building and yes the wait is worth it.Recently they have added seasonal walleye fish dinner . It is high quality and eats like a sit down meal.I give 5 star to the employees. This place gets heavy business and is always polite professional and as quick as they can. The food runners to the cars do a great job.
Disappointed in having to repeat myself to 2 different people and say the order 3 times. To make it easier I doubled the order, making it identical, only to find after paying they missed something.I have to believe it was an off night for these two youngsters, we will give them another try sometime.
I have never been to this place my 1st impressions this place all i can say is WWWWWWWWOWthey go ABOVE AND BEYOND i mean customer service they must have invented the word your food is very fresh your food is Delivered to your Table my server (SHAMAR) He needs to be named The best of the MONTH if you have a board if not make one let me tell ya he was.AAAAAAWESOMEThank You LOVE LOVE LOVE 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💯
Drive thrus are long everywhere because of the pandemic and this location handled it perfectly. I appreciate that they have us pull forward to wait on the food, it keeps things moving. Very reasonable wait for burgers that are restaurant quality. There is a young man that runs the orders out and I can tell he works very hard to keep up with demand. Keep up the great work man!
I just left this Culvers and Im so disappointed. Ive been a fan for a very long time and this was a huge waste. The person who was taking orders entered most of our things wrong. I ordered two regular chicken baskets and she gave us buffalo chicken tenders...I ordered one meal with onion rings with a side of ranch and another with cheese curds. She in fact gave me two cheese curds and no ranch. We waited in the line for a very long time which is not a problem. Once we stopped the girl who was delivering the orders to the cars to tell her the mistake happened she asked for the receipt and said it doesnt say you ordered onion rings. We stated we ordered one meal with onion rings and the next with cheese curds. She took the receipt then acted like she went inside to ask someone but came back out a second later and said I do not see on the receipt you ordered onion rings. We then say yes because she rang it in wrong. She then says well you can pay for another side of onion rings if you want them or I can go ask my kitchen but youll have to pay for them. It is not our fault the person taking orders did not enter the information in correctly but also the situation was not handled properly by the next worker either.
The food here is good and always fresh. However the line in the drive thru and wait times just to get to the ordering speaker can be so ridiculous. On 8/27/21 I was in line at the drive thru for 25 minutes before I got to the ordering speaker. On top of that when I got to the window to pay they were about to give me someone elses order and had zero record of the order I actually placed! Before that the customer ahead of me had problems as well with his order and added an additional 10 minutes into the waitc time. From the minutes I got in the drive thru line to actually being handed my food almost an hour had gone by which is unacceptable and ridiculous.
Two cars behind me got their food before I got mine the person in front of me obviously got their food first but the person in front of them I got their food after me so theres no organization at this place and Im fairly certain I was being discriminated against because I drive a retired police car
My son and I ate here for the first time and the food was delicious temperature was perfect food was seasoned perfectly and talk about customer servyiy was the best I’ve ever had dining in Culver’s and I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant even better some one always came to check if we were ok this Culver’s on 16 and vanDyke deserves more than 5 stars
Usually good food, but the service is HORRIBLE. We ordered a carryout and waited an extra half hour after the order was supposed to be ready. Supposed to be ready at 6:55, didnt get it until 7:22. (Wait times are usually long here). Needless to say, the shakes were melted (They made them first). When we got home, there was no salad dressing in the bag. So we called back and spoke to the manager Amanda, who sounded like she was 12. She did not care that we waited so long and offered no rational solution to the problem. Absolutely zero people skills. She did happen to give us the general managers name, but couldnt spell it.Its hard to find good help these days.
Used to love this place until they took away the large cup for the concrete mixer.... and then uped the price on the next biggest one... and its a TINY cup compared to other fast food places!!! Im going to have to find a new favorite custard place now!! NOT a good business decision, whomever made this decision! At work, about 20 of us used to order from Culvers 3-4 times a week...now, because of this reason,no one even wants to bother with Culvers! So,just because of someones greed, over a smaller cup, you now have lost alot of customers, not just myself!! Fantastic idea!!!!🤬NOT!!!
After complaining about the experience, Culver’s made things right.I ordered a gluten free bun for my butter burger, with cheese and ketchup. What arrived ruined my entire experience with this branch. The cheese stuck to a wrapper, and there was no ketchup served at all. Most inedible cheeseburger ever.
It is a new location me. Nice and clean and the workers were extra nice. They ready to serve. The manager had to approve my coupon seemed like I was truly bothering him. I said thank you and he looked at the floor with an odd acknowledgement. Not impressed. The food was good and nice and hot. There were only a few people in the dining room but drive thorough was not-stop.
Normally good service was poor tonight. The cashier walked away from the window just as I pulled up and didn’t return for three minutes. When our order was delivered it didn’t look like it could be a fish dinner and a Wisconsin melt. The delivery guy said it was, my wife looked in the small bag and saw coleslaw, but didn’t look in the large bag. At home we discovered only one sandwich and coleslaw, nothing else.
Today, I ordered a cheeseburger, a corn dog, chicken tenders, a grilled cheese, and a large sweet tea. Cheeseburger was smashed and looked like it was sitting around for hours, the corn dog was overcooked and crusty, the chicken tenders were mush (the sweet and sour sauce looked and tasted old). The grilled cheese bread was questionable, but the Im glad the cheese was melted. The best part about the entire meal was the sweet tea. Probably not returning to this Culvers, I expected better food from Culvers - especially paying $16 for all this.
The wait time was long because they dropped the fish on the floor and the fries were warm when the food finally came. After, the fries were replaced - the food was good. The manager, was nice and offered one of us a free custard, when it was clearly 2 of us, what can I say...
I tried it for the first time today. I had the spicy chicken combo and it was pretty good I wish I knew they had the good pickela I wouldve asked for extra lol. Also, the person who was on the speaker taking my order ( between 11:30a.m-12:00p.m) was super nice and very helpful. Normally when your new to some places people can be rude but this guy wasnt and I appreciate it.
2nd time going to Culver in almost 6 years, first time at this location. Ordered the shrimp dinner, chopped steak dinner, and tenders. Food was hor and taste very good, better than we expected. Order was correct, no missing items. Excellent customer service. Drive thru line was long, but moved fast. Love that they put a number on your side view mirror to ensure correct order is given.
Too much in a rush. I had barely gotten one meal out of my mouth at the drive through and the order taker wanted to move me along. I had to say stop twice so I could tell her the second meal. Then, we got our pork loin sandwiches with such a small amount of mayo on it that you almost needed to use a magnifying glass. Ill think twice before Culvers again.
Double butter burger was pretty good, but the spicy chicken sandwich I received had a significant, thick portion which was heavily undercooked. You know, the chewy and stringy chicken which makes you want to hurl your food? Thats the one. As such, Culvers is most definitely not a significant participant in the chicken sandwich wars, but they do make a good beef burger. Patties are kind of small, more like a mcdouble but a little thicker and juicier. Maybe make them bigger? At least as big as the bun? Those little patties slide around too much. I originally gave this post 3 stars because the beef burger was fine, but then I remembered there were some little things about it I did not like. Would I eat here again? I dont know. Its just another subpar place. If its on the way, I guess. Avoiding the chicken though!
Ordered for curbside pickup about 10 minutes before I got there, then waited for almost 30 minutes after following the process to let them know I was there. I watched car after car get served in their drive through while I waited. Absolutely ridiculous wait times, completely unacceptable.
Food was good, but the service could do with some work. I ordered the chicken sandwich without lettuce and it came with a mountain of lettuce on it. Also, we had a coupon for both my mother and myself and it seemed as though neither of the coupons were used in our order. Again, food was nice and hot and tasted fine, but the service could use some work.
The cashier was extremely friendly. The chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. the store was clean and the staff checked in multiple times to make sure everything was good. For a store that just opened, they are doing extremely well in the service area. Kathrine was very sweet 🙂
Friendly staff had to ask for his name (Jordan) because he took our order at drive thru and he was so professional, thorough and nice. Got our order right. Then we waited for our food Shamar brought out our food he was great too. He went back in and got us ketchup. Would definitely go to this location again.
My bacon burger was still cold, like cheese on my bacon burger not melted cold. They also put spear pickle across burger accompanied with reg sliced pickles. I can tell they guy at the window was new. He put number on my door handle while I was at the window then started handing me my food. I had to knock on the window to give him the thing back or I would have been riding up van dyke with it 😂
I hate fast food but I love Culvers. That is already telling you something about how good this place is! Culvers has amazing butterburgers and fish sandwiches, just wish they would add more sauce to their fish sandwiches. Everything Is always made fresh and i dont care about waiting a few short minutes for my food.
They were pretty busy when I went between 8-830. Staff was friendly. It took a little while for my order to come to my car but they apologized for the wait and everything. My order was fresh AND correct so I had absolutely no complaints about a wait! So happy a Culvers came to Sterling Heights!
This place is run like a joke. Ive been there 3 times so far. The employees are constantly arguing and screaming at each other. The second time i went there, 5 cars behind me got their food in drive thru and i was sitting for a half hour until i had to walk in myself and demand a refund. They cant even take an order right. Today i ordered a triple stack bacon cheddar burger and all i got was bread and meat. 3 horrible visits in a row, Im never coming back or sending my employees to this location ever again.
Mike is a horrible manager along with Dawn The service was horrible I got in line at 9: 50 they close at 10 when I finally got to the speaker, after waiting for 10min it was 10:01. Mike and Dawn were extremely rude Ive never experienced nothing like this at any Culvers or any other fast food restaurant! in this area!I was told I would receive coupons for my BAD experience by the OWNER AT THIS LOCATION.....HE LIED TO MY FACEThis is my reply to your message I was told to come in by the owner to show him exactly what happened because I videotaped it they saw it he apologized he told me the situation will be taken care of and they would send coupons to me for the inconvenience an experience, I dont really care about the coupons at all but I do care about your word if you say something to my face I expect it to go through especially coming from a owner of any company. I love Culvers I just hate this location it makes the whole culvers experience horrible, Im not used to this type of service when I come to Culvers.
I went through the drive thru for lunch. I order a Crispy Chicken meal. The restaurant drive thru was well organized in social distancing, face mask, gloves and food delivered to your car as a result of COVID-19. My wait was minimal and the food was hot (as in temperature). Definitely felt comfortable eating my food. I will visit again!
You have to ask for ketchup and napkins if youre dining in. Even then, they may not bring them and you have to ask again. The tables and seats are not cleaned regularly, even though the seating capacity is cut in half because of COVID restrictions. When I asked employee to have one of the tables cleaned, it felt like I was troubling her. Probably better off going through the drive thru next time.
Overall, if you want to wait in a drive thru line while others behind got their orders before you it’s not worth it.I ordered just TWO ice creams and the wait was longer than the ones behind me .I went inside because I thought they forgot my order but the counter people said they don’t go by the Number they gave you but Only seconds after I went back to my car they come out with my order. How convenient??
I had extremely high hopes for this place, but the hair in my fries turned me way off. The burgers are good but greasy, a lot like Five Guys. The bathrooms were horribly disgusting. I took my 3 year old in a stall and turned right around. There was dried up pee all over the seat and the floor. Extremely disappointed
First time visiting this location . I ordered a chili with extra crackers along with my meal . At the window she said you normally get 3 crackers but I put 2 more in there for you . Is that fine ? I said yes , thank you . So why when I get back to work is there only 3 crackers ? Do people get off by lying to customers ? Can this establishment not afford to give me 2 extra crackers ? It may not be a big deal to you but it is to me . Way to leave a first impression . Not to mention waiting in the drive thru for over a half hour . I actually do value my time .
I ordered 2 value baskets ($15) and a side of cheese curds ($4), my total was around $21. Which is expensive, but their food is tasty. Except when I got back to the office (after waiting at least 10 minutes for my order in the restaurant), what was in the bag wasnt what I had ordered. While waiting on my order I watched the manager answer 2 phone calls with the same issue. I called when I realized the issue and not only was the lady who answered rude, she told me that since I couldnt come back with the wrong food since we had to eat what I brought back, there was nothing she could do to help me. Super disappointed with this customer service after waiting months for this location to open. Will not be back.
Love this place out of all the Culver’s in the area due to the staff! They always go above and beyond my expectations and have the best food. Had a great encounter with the manager David for taking care of all the requests and making sure the food was correct. Worth checking out!
They left the meat off of a burger in our order. It was a carry out order. Got home, found the problem, went back. All they did was remake the burger. Seems like they should have done a little more with the trouble we had to go through for their mistake. Boycotting now!
Plan your day if you want ice cream. 19 minutes still no ice cream. 9 other cars served behind me. What was supposed to be a quick pickup for 2 creams now feels like an event. Best thing about this wait is it leaves me time to warn others.Worker apologized and showed concern.
WATCH THE COLE SLAW! At the drive thru they gave me one that expired the day before (theres an expiration date and time label on the lid - smelled awful), so I drove back to return it and they gave me another one that was going to expire in 25 minutes! This was in addition to forgetting to give me other things I paid for and was supposed to get. Ive never had any problems at the Rochester Hills or Roseville locations. Sorry, but Im not going to eat spoiled cole slaw to cut your expenses - MANAGER ON DUTY - CHECK THE DATES ON YOUR FOOD - ITS THE LAW!!UPDATE: Hmmm, the cole slaw no longer has an expiration label on it.
Been there a few times , each time I had to go back because half my order was missing. Sure Staff is friendly but you cant eat friendly. Bought Dinner and Sundaes and got home to find out half my dinner was missing had to go back and get the rest, by time I got back home burger was cold and the sundaes were melted.

2022-04-24My new favorite location! You wait a bit sometimes, but the quality is good and doesnt seem thrown together. Ill say a drink with no ice and they always hear me and follow through. My dog was in the passenger seat once, and then they asked if he wanted a puppy scoop. No idea what that was at first but basically they gave him custard with a dog treat. It was so cute! (I have since learned he was lactose intolerant from his gas later that day, but it was still a sweet gesture!) I saw a golden retriever leaving as I was getting my drive through order, so it looked like they even allow them in the building.

2022-05-13This visit was probably the worst ever!! There was not a table in the dining room that wasn’t dirty. Out of unsweetened tea, no ketchup, didn’t bring Our complete food order. Napkin holders were pretty disgusting. I noticed the mall having gloves are in but one girl came from outside touching the doors and then handed me a food container when I asked, with the same gloves on. Another worker was writing with an ink pen and touching food containers. Didn’t bring the cheese dip we ordered didn’t bring salad dressing that we ordered the mashed potatoes were cold. We probably won’t be back to this location. Hayes and 23 miles is much better!!

2022-07-01Food was great, my only complaint was that the service was a little slow( for a fast food restaurant). Every one was kind and the lady that handed me my food was very apologetic. I will definitely be returning back.

2022-06-02Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. The burger I ordered was above average in flavor yet it seemed to be missing a key ingredient. The meat was paper thin! I understand cost are going up and things need to be cut back on. But the Butter Burger is the signature menu item and should not suffer from cuts. I have been going to this restaurant chain for 15 years and they have always been higher priced then other burger places, but it was worth it. Today the value seems gone. Amazingly the price between a single burger and double is near $3. So for $3 more you get another paper thin burger added. Which based on memory those two thin layers equal what was the original single layer. I will still come here, but not as often and more likely only for desert.

2021-12-20This was my first experience with Culvers and I am so disappointed. For $10 I was expecting a chicken sandwich like Chick-fil-A or Popeyes but I got a Wendys look chicken patty, limp fries and this lemonade is nasty! For the price I expected better. Wont be going back.

2022-03-25Wow.... What a difference a location makes. First time visit to this Culvers and everyone in my group was very impressed. I ordered a Spicy Chicken sandwich with only mustard, onions, pickles and jalapenos and it was made perfectly. Furthermore, the sandwich actually looked like the sandwiches you see on the television commercial. Everything tasted fresh and was well prepared. The staff at this location really treat customers with respect.

2022-02-06We had never been to our local Culvers. I took my son before dinner, and it was really good. I asked the girls at the register what they liked, band we were given honest opinions and help after that. My sons bacon cheeseburger was perfect. We will be back for sure.

2022-03-23We had used the drive through. We had to pull forward and wait slightly for our food but it was hot and obviously cooked fresh. Our food was great and the portions were good. Very friendly staff brought out our food.
