Comment: Prepare for a 40 minute check in. If you book online, and pre pay, they will demand 200$ cash. Theres an ATM across the street. Make sure you evaluate the assigned room before you fork over any cash. Mine had damage. Glad I wasnt charged for previous problems. No other lodging demands cash like this place. Cha-ching.

Comment: Things didnt go well at this location.Rooms: The layout is very cramped. Fitting two queen beds into that room meant that one of the beds was wedged right up against the wall AC, which I turn caused the AC to malfunction all night long.Beds: Upon entering our room, we discovered that the bed cover had a dirty spot. I reported it right away and the worker tried to get us into a different room but since we had two rooms it would have split our family too far away from each other. She didnt have access to the laundry supply room so could not supply us with a clean replacement. I ended up just taking off the top layer. Upon retiring to bed I discovered that the sheet was incredibly thread-bare. See pictures.Supplies: Upon using the bathroom, we discovered that there was no soap. We went to the desk to get them and discovered that the entire motel was without soap because it was on back-order. But no solution was offered. So...yeah...no bueno.Breakfast: We didnt show up for breakfast until 20 minutes before it closed so pickings were slim. The most disappointing for me was zero produce.

Comment: My wife, 9 yr old son and I have been traveling cross country from WV to BC Canada then down the coast of Washington, Oregon & California over to Yosemite going to hit Big Sur, anyway I don’t really have the time to write reviews, but feel I need to for Days Inn by Wyndham Merced / Yosemite area hotel .This is our 16th day of travel and have stayed in 16 different hotels and have not had any real issues with any until now, the place does seem clean enough (except greasy looking stain in the middle of the floor in our room) the lobby and breakfast area looked nice upon checking in, I called them directly ( no 3rd party like Expedia ) on there site it says room has led tv, fridge and microwave “ect” when I got there the girl was nice, but said before I gave her my credit card ( even though I did this over the phone to secure it, witch is normal ) Oh that room does not have a tv, do you want to upgrade ? I’m sure trying to get more money out of there room rate from what I was quoted, I said no need we was tired and was just needing to sleep, we get to room #126 and there’s a tv bracket and No tv witch she told me about, but there was no fridge, microwave, there was a ironing board but not a iron on the bracket, no tissues, no soap, no shampoo, missing lamp shade, a see thru shower curtain was thumb tacked into the wall over the window so the street light shined thru & No smoke detector! I’m pretty sure that’s not to code ! I have rental property in Wv & have to have one in every sleeping area for the city of Huntington, and for HUD you have to have one per floor, I went to the front desk and ask for some soap and shampoo and she came out with one small bar of soap and a bottle of moisturizer and said that’s all she had ( no shampoo) & when I told her about the shower curtain thumb tacked to the wall she acted surprised and said oh I’ll have to check on that tomorrow ( after we check out) here I am writing this in my notes on my phone at midnight because I feel a little bit ripped off . I read another review they charged someone a $200 deposit and it’s been 8 days and they still have not got it back & the hotels response was it takes up to 20 days and your bank must be holding it! They charged me $50 just checked my capital one app, we will see how this plays out! Rant over I’m going to bed now! Lol, ok here it is at 3:08 am I just woke up for some reason, I don’t know if it’s the multiple trains passing blowing there horns, or the dog I hear barking sounds like coming from another room or the Mexican restaurant we ate at in Groveland😋 (Cocina Michoacana, witch was Excellent ! ) a wash rag I had to put over my eyes to get to sleep isn’t blocking out the light so great so im going with a pillow instead ! back to sleep again! So just got up and went for breakfast & was pleasantly surprised it was one of the better ones we have had on this trip the eggs, sausage & especially the sausage gravy was very good and fresh tasting compared to most others on this trip, kudos to whomever is over the breakfast decisions & to the ones that prepare it! Oh and I forgot to tell you there was actually a Keurig coffee pot in the room with no coffee, but there was 2 tea bags .Wyndham if your reading this you can do better with this particular hotel because I have stayed in several hotels ( by Wyndham ) on this trip and past trips and your usually top notch! The second star is only for the breakfast .

Comment: We were super worried about this place after reading the reviews on Google, but it isnt that bad. The room and bathroom were clean. 😌 One picky thing is that the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. 😕 We asked the staff, and they quickly provided some soap and shampoo as their conditioner and body wash were out as well. 👍Theres a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine in our room. ☕ Theres also a hairdryer, iron, and clean towels. 🚿 Overall, its very nice. 😊I’m not sure if the air conditioner in our room is broken, it’s LOUD!!! 🔊 I recorded a video of how it sounds like. 📹One downside is that there are some homeless people across the street. 🏚️ Also, because this place is so close to the highway and the streets, we can hear car horns and trains at night, as well as kids running and yelling in the hallway. 🚗🚂🏃♂️But considering how much were paying compared to places closer to Yosemite, its fair. 💰

Comment: I am writing this complaint because I wanted to notify Wyndham hotels of the handling of guests. I booked a room at days inn merced,CA. I paid for a deluxe room which is supposed to include a mini fridge and a microwave. I paid extra to get a mini refrigerator included in the room. When I checked in the room I was told it was the only room available, I made my reservation a week in advance. The room doesnt have a refrigerator. It also doesnt have a smoke detector or sprinkler, which is against the law. I stayed here with my wife and children. This puts their safety at risk. I was only given 2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths. There are 4 of us. The hotel staff stated it was all they could give me. When I walked to the front desk I noticed several rooms clean and ready to go with refrigerators, smoke detectors, and microwave. The front desk clerk said the rooms were for other people with reservations. I informed her I had an reservation as well. I was given a standard room but charged the deluxe price. My platinum match from caesars rewards was not honored as well. We came early at 11am to see about early check in but was told to show up to check in at 3pm, but the room was not ready. We waited for the room to be cleaned. We were given a damaged room. We ended up checking in at 4:30pm. Our room did not have a working phone either. I feel I have been discriminated against, because I was told that there werent any rooms available but people were walking in and getting rooms that had a refrigerator available. I have a video showing rooms that have refrigerators were available.

Comment: The room is nice but the area is too sketchy for me. Also, a residential neighbor blasted his music, heavy on the base, for hours, literally vibrating the building. After two hours, I called the front desk and the clerk said shed look around for the cause. But the second night, the same so Im pretty sure they are used to it and only fained surprise. My room didnt have a refrigerator or microwave so had to toss my perishables. Forgot to check the small print. 😢 The shelving unit was specifically built for a microwave and refrigerator though so I was constantly reminded of what could have been.

Comment: AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS! I mistakenly booked this hotel and couldnt regret it more. Its in one of the worst areas of Merced (I know because I grew up here and lived here recently). The owners have renovated the hotel, but its still frequented by tweakers. They charge a $200 CASH deposit up front -- thats $200 deposit PER ROOM -- in addition to the cost of the room, even if you pay for the room with a credit card and even though the rooms cost less than $100 to rent. Per the employee at the desk, this deposit is because so many guests destroy the TVs, etc. The rooms look *nothing* like the Maps pictures, to the extent that Im sure those pics are of another, nicer hotel. The actual rooms are exactly what youd find at Motel 6. The housekeepers will wake you up when they come around at 9 am -- that is, if you were able to fall asleep, because this hotel is in a noisy area, right by the freeway. To top it off, my family member accidentally left an expensive ring and when we returned for it, it was gone, no doubt stolen by the only person the hotel said had been in the room, the housekeeper. Good thing (for them!) that the hotel has a policy that its not responsible for any loss of money or other items. (Edit: The police came and the housekeeper agreed to be searched, but would not consent to having her items searched). Overall, a ghetto hotel in a ghetto area with thieves working there. Will NEVER be back!Edit #2, response to managenents comment: Actually, yes, it is safe to assume your employee stole the ring when, according to you guys, she had been the only person in the room after we left and the ring way too much weight to it to have been caught in the sheets and put through the wash, as you guys suggested (and if it was in the wash, why wasnt it found?). Further, why didnt she consent to her items being searched? What did she have to hide? You shouldnt be sorry we left it, you should be sorry your employee wasnt honest enough to turn it in to the office and that you didnt care enough to help return it to its rightful owner. You guys suck, thats all there is to it.

Comment: This place is an absolute dump. When people pass by on the 2nd floor walkway the entire room shakes. Every single concrete slab of the walkway is cracked The air conditioner filter had apparently never been cleaned. There was no coffee.

Comment: I come to this hotel Frequently usually I request top right this time They were fully booked. I Received a room on the opposite side which was the biggest mistake I could hear Receptionist coming in and out. The gentleman at check in was Extremely unprofessional couldnt answer basic questions came off Excessively rude. Management needs to do better I called front office to have ice door opened when the same gentleman arrived I mentioned that they should maybe get door fixed for we wouldnt have to be calling them to come out he did mention that the supervisor didnt do her job right and he was going to mention it to somebody. This was my last stay here I wont be back i dont recommend it. Worst service I have had at a hotel.
