I fly delta out of GR all the time. To Detroit, Minneapolis, and of course, Hotlanta I have never had a problem on my flights out of Grand Rapids. Maybe coming home or to my next location, but never from my home.That being said, Delta is not a 5 star airline, but this branch is.
This the worst flight EVER!!!! Im 8 months pregnant requested a Isle seat in the middle of the plane. The agent was a old grumpy lady she didnt even try all she said was Im sorry flight is full and assigned me a seat at the extreme back of the plane in the middle. I ask a steward and was offered a seat across from where Im sitting which makes no sense!!!!! I will never fly with Delta again
Lousy customer service. You call the number with an urgent question and get the option for a call-back rather than holding. And the recording says you will receive a call-back in more than an hour. That is not helpful. Christmas Eve is more than an hour away. Ridiculous.

2022-07-28A little disappointed with our check in process this morning. We were traveling with our small dog and had called two weeks prior to make sure he could get on the flight. That wasn’t a problem. We tried to do our boarding pass on our phones but it said to check in at the counter. Our cs representative was Gordon. He couldn’t find our reservation at first but found it but there was an issue. WE apologized as my husband had initially booked the exit rows but then figured out we couldn’t have a pet in the exit row so he changed it. For whatever reason, the system locked us in on the exit row and Gordon acted like WE were to blame. Not the system. He finally went and got a supervisor (Brenda) and she was super sweet and showed him how to unlock that part of the system. Not once did he acknowledge that it was a system error and not OUR fault.

2022-02-05The Delta team members in Grand Rapids MI move like turtles. At bag check I stood in a relatively short line for 40 minutes waiting to check one bag…already paid for. Boarded the plane and they left the gate on time but proceeded to take 50 minutes de-icing the plane…normally 15 minutes tops on a small plane. Caused my family to miss the connection at DTW and lost our entire first day of vacation. Zero empathy from Delta. Prices are higher than ever and customer service is worse than ever!

2019-10-24Delta Airlines always provides good customer service for both domestic and international flights. I enjoy flying with them and using the Delta Sky Lounge during layovers. Highly recommended!

2021-12-21I took a later flight because Delta overbooked. Delta promised a $900 gift card and told me theyd have to give it to me later because theres a problem with IT. I didnt receive it. I called the Gift Card Department with the voucher number they gave me to request it. I was told (after waiting 30 minutes on the phone) by the Gift Card Department that the voucher number Delta had on the printed receipt doesnt exist or is wrong. I got transferred to General Customer Service to resolve the issue and after an hour and a half of waiting, my phone died, and I had the opportunity to spend the following days lunch hour trying to resolve the issue again.I had to try again the following day, and after an hour and a half of waiting, General Customer Service said I would need to contact Corporate Customer Service. I sent an email to the CEO. I was told on December 15th an executive representative was working on it. On December 17th, the executive representative told me they hoped to have it resolved by days end. Four days later, I still havent received my gift card, and the executive representative has discontinued responding to my polite requests for updates.The whole situation was disappointing. The flight receptionist was desperately trying to get ahold of someone via phone for an hour when she found out there was an overbooking problem (in order to discern when the next available flight was). The new platform or system kept her from emailing me the card. And the Gift Card Department said they didnt have the authority to look into the matter for me. And all of this would have been a minor inconvenience if it werent for Deltas ridiculously long wait times. Why is an hour and a half normative and acceptable for trying to get answers about something?

2020-11-24Dirty seats, up to this point ( 20 min through boarding) Delta announced 4 times that Airplane is wiped and cleaned. And its not the first time I see these on a Delta flight.

2021-06-03First trip to Atlanta was good except the feeling of riding a roller coaster feeling of going up and down while in the air with5tbe seat belt light on. The second flight scared me with the turbulent going back to michigan, but I will fly with delta again it was more comfortable to fly with delta that spirit,united, American, I will fly with delta before I will fly with the other ones that I mentioned. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because I was scared on the way to michigan too much turbulence on that flight

2020-03-24Great service with Delta Airlines. The staff was able to help me board and debark safely and was very pleasant. I have a additional need and it was met with kindness and understanding. Thank you Delta Airlines for a great trip.

2017-04-07If having flights cancelled repeatedly due to weather, which only seems to effect this airline is what you want, then look no further! Some airlines really overwhelm you with employees, but Delta makes sure to keep them at a bare minimum so you can get extra toned legs from standing in line for hours. The one area they lost me was in giving the option to have someone call you back automatically instead of having you be on hold. They did manage to redeem that by calling back nine and a half hours later at 3:30 AM. Definitely an unforgettable experience!

2019-05-18The customer service is HORRIBLE with this airline. I had bad experience more than once with them, especially the most recent one was very unpleasant. My perception is that people at the check in desk (where you drop off your luggage) don’t really know what they are doing / don’t know the rules or policies of the airline thoroughly. They can’t give you a good explanation when they say no to whatever things you are asking them, because they don’t know what else to say.In my most recent interaction with Delta, the desk people were okay, but the supervisor was SUPER RUDE! He claimed he was working there for 20 years but well apparently he doesn’t know a thing about customer service. The experience was SO BAD that I decided I will NEVER fly with Delta EVER AGAIN.

2020-10-13Unfortunately its the only airlines that you can use currently. But the staff there needs to be a little more friendly and have more customer relations In a friendly matter instead of chewing you out when you dont know something. A little kindness and respect goes wrong way people dont need to get their a** chewed
