Landed at shift change. Took 1 1/2 hr to get luggage after sitting a half hour in the plane at the gate.
It was terrible there, they didnt do their jobs like they were supposed to I hope I dont have to fly in or out of Detroit airport

McNamara arrival area really needs improvement. It is a single lane drive up, then it opens up. I was in the single lane area for 45 minutes. Then people tried to cut me off. This was NASTY!
Early flight, very quick getting thru check in and security.
They have nice environment there. And is very clean airport
Lots of neat looking shops and places to eat, none of which ever seem to be open.
Easy on and off to I-94. Very well planned out. Carries are Spirit to Delta and everything in between.
Went to the North terminal. Roadway is clearly marked to guide you to either the North terminal or the McNamara terminal. Being older, the North terminal doesnt have all the eateries or shops the McNamara terminal does. Only went there to enroll in Global Entry

I am always helped and taken care of by American Airline but this time the person that gave me wheel chair assistant in Charlotte NC took me on a wild ride to the outside plane but others tried to help me I was so shook up from the ride so I had to take pain meds once I boarded
When you are hungry, this tastes great!
Compared to other airports its more organized and it means Im home!
They need curbside check in and more charging stations for phones and laptops.

Easy to get in and out of.Lots of restaurants closed due to covid.
Kinda confusing when it comes to parking. Had to shuttle 30 mins to the right terminal other than that its a great airport

Its a its a little further down to Detroit but we like leaving out of there better than other Air fields

2022-04-19The service was excellent. I flew spirit an enjoyed every minute. The flight attendants did airplane yoga, told jokes, and was very personable as well as professional. Mask were still mandated at that time

2022-04-04The airport its self was fine. The problem I had was with Spirit Airlines. Some of their employees are less than hospitable. We landed just before 2 p.m. our luggage did not arrive at baggage claim until almost 3 p.m. When I talk to someone at Spirit the lady had an attitude talking about we a little behind. 3pm isnt a little behind.

2021-12-27Well oiled machine!! Went with my daughter to get my grandson on his flight to Florida for Christmas at 3 am on the 19th. Parked up front,found are ticket counter and checked in. Extremely personable staff. Even when I realized I had left my license & debit card in my back pocket after walking through the body scanner-TSA stated I would have to be patted down(this was my fault- I own it). No problems and I was soon with my family. Everything was streamlined!! I can see why they have been awarded so many customer service awards.

2022-01-03The remodel looks amazing... Detroit still is one airport that youll never quite know how busy they will be. But the airport staff always seem willing to help.

2021-12-15I have come to Detroit Metro Airport several times this year to pick up my sons, who are experts in finding good airfare deals. It is easy to park and get around, but above all, make the rendezvous with the newcomer. I much prefer it to Chicagos Ohare.

2022-03-26Easy airport, be sure to go early for checked bags as the lines can be long at times and move slow...missed a flight once because of the line moving slow and one worker.

2021-09-21I learned that you had to be at the airport 4 hours before your flight to get checked in. We missed our initial flight. However; the representative for Southwest Airlines booked on a flight for later this afternoon. She was courteous, friendly and helped us secure seats for a later flight. Thank you Southwest!
