2020 was a very challenging year I believe for everybody. I feel really bad for the Elderly and the children. The children really missed out a whole lot in their social life and exspecially their education. So when I heard about what Detroit Phoenix Center was doing. I was SO EXCITED to volunteer for Detroit Phoenix Center as Ms. Claus and my younger son was Santa Claus on Saturday December 19 at Foot Locker. We also helped Lady Queen C (Courtney Ebonique Smith) ❤ on Christmas Eve to delivery 16 family their Christmas 🎁. Santa Claus & Ms. Claus found the Elf and Rudolph the rain 🦌 on our way. I said all that to say I really had a GREAT TIME seeing the smiles that we put on these kids faces it was PRICELESS!! Queen C THANK YOU for letting me to be apart of this Journey. I really enjoyed seeing those kids so 😊. If you are looking for a place to donate or volunteer DETROIT PHOENIX CENTER is the place!! Keep up the good work (QUEEN C) Courtney Smith!!# IAMSOPROUDOFYOU

The Detroit Phoenix Center (DPC) has done an amazing job combating housing insecurity and inequity in Detroit, especially considering it’s standing as a young organization. Much of this is due to its commited leadership, specifically DPC founder Courtney Smith, who’s delligence and clear passion for this important cause has successfully lead to the housing of numerous youth through its first Emergency Shelter program, the launching of a memorial youth scholarship program and a variety of other initiatives. As its slogan implies, DPC is truly on the rise.

I am elated to have such an amazing organization as an reliable resource here in the city of Detroit. Working in the school systems, I often come across youth who are experiencing homelessness. It’s disheartening, but whenever I call DPC someone is always there and available ready to extend their resources! DPC is one of its kind because it offers a same day drop in center for youth who have nowhere to go in that second, minute or hour. I thank the supper staff of DPC for the assistance that they have provided my youth! I thank the CEO/Founder of DPC for always being available for my youth on so many levels. I have never met a more passionate person ready to take on such a tough task! Thank you DPC for being in Detroit and being an advocate for our youth!

After much consideration I decided to make this post regarding Courtney Smith unprofessionalism, dishonesty about her clients and her need to always be right!!! Look beyond the surface when dealing with her...
