I went there 3rd through 6th grade. Horrible school! Teachers were rude and I was bullied several times because of my teeth. Now, I go to a better school.

My son is now in 3 grade this school has become horrible and he will not be attending next year. The staff in the main office is very rude and disrespectful if your child is going to 3rd grade this is not the school of choice parents run.

Horrible Staff!! My Daughter was embarassed in front of her class by a teacher for Blood sugar being Low, OUTRAGE IT TOOK THEM 3 WHOLE WEEKS TO BE ABLE TO TALK TO ME ABOUT SEVERAL MATTERS. AFTER I MADE 4 PHONE CALLS TO THE OFFICE WITH WRITTEN MESSAGES DONE BY THE FRONT DESK!! ASLO ME DRIVING UP TO THE SCHOOL 3 TIMES WAITING IN THE OFFICE FOR 20 MINS JUST TO BE TURNED AROUND!! MY CHILD HAS TYPE 1 DIABETES. AND I FEEL LIKE SHE IS NOT SAFE IN DSLA. THE TEACHERS ARE VERY RUDE TO THE STUDENTS! MY CHILD HAS WENT THERE SINCE KINDERGARTEN, NOW SHE IS IN THIRD GRADE. THE NEW STAFF TEAM IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE . AND I WILL BE CHANGING SCHOOLS FOR HER ASAP
For kindergarten and first grade this school was awesome then teachers started leaving and everything went down hill teachers just stopped caring about the children. Please dont enroll here
I went to that school 3rd through 5th I got talked about and got into a lot of fights because of that. 4th grade was my favorite 5th was my worst because teachers got me out out of that school

Not a good school to send you children it used to be a good school but now its horrible the lunch they serve is terrible and most of the teachers quite and leave the school because of the bad kids
I hate this school.Im in middle school in 6th grade and the whole staff is horrible please dont ever come to this school.Theres gangs,fighting everyday,drama,and horrible teachers.Theres been 12 fights just in my classroom.Oh and people pick on you and hate on you for no reason.Dont be fooled by the outside of the school.Its horrible inside the bathrooms never have soap.The sinks are always broken.Please just dont go here.

My son has 38 students in his class and the Teachers are not good.... Hes had 9 teachers this year.....TROUBLE!!!!

2019-04-14I currently am in the 8th grade attending dsla. This school is not as bad as most reviews say I have been going to this school since 4th grade and it is not that bad I learned alot at this school. Yes the teachers are not the best, yes there is drama, yes the students arent all nice and friendly but its that way at every school not just dsla. The lunches are very healthy the staff are strict but only because they care alot about the students. There are lots of teachers that have been there for lots of years like longer than I have been attending dsla. We have programs and classes like journalism and academic games, basketball for boys and girls we also have track and field and have different clubs. This is a magnificent school to send your kids too if u want them to enjoy and have a fun experience!!!

2015-10-01My kids went last year. The school needs a bit of work but I will say that my son kindergarten teacher was wonderful. He made so much great progress there and I appreciate this school for that. The staff was pretty friendly and very much like a family.

2018-03-21For the most part the staff here are courteous and professional. What makes the school horrible is the parents. A great number of them are disrespectful and rude. There are frequent altercations between parents and these same parents are dropping off unruly disrespectful and generally angry children. If you want your child to maintain their innocence while receiving and education avoid this school at all cost

2018-08-25I would give this school 0 stars if I could. Its nothing more than a large daycare center. The 3 grade and up are a bunch of juvenile delinquents. Run.....pull your kids out of this school. The building is full of long term substitute teachers because they cant keep staff in the midstst of the chaos. I substituted here in a few different grades and it was hell. The kids restroom had no soap and the water was running at a trickle. The principal is nonexistent and there to collect a check. I will never go back and i suggest no parent send their kid to this school. Im sure your child is getting bullied or they are the bully.

2018-06-18It nice inside and it seems like the teacher care about the kids learned but I have to see how the kids act but overall it look like a nice school and they got different thing the kids can do after school I think you should check it out ✌

2014-05-26This school is really horrible because my girl and boy are going and they say cursing words now and they are ghetto now they used to be proper why cant the principle do somthing about this she needs to fix it and they give un healthy food so my kids bring and we have to pick them up from school no school busses messed up hu yeah pretty much you shouldnt want your kids going here my kids got into fights with other kids and stuff like what the hell type of school is this? Ill tell its stupid that what type of school it is
