Dave is easily the most reliable and knowledgeable mechanic I’ve ever met! I went in last minute to see if my car was safe to drive up north before my vacation that weekend, he went out of his way to give me a diagnostic within 24 hours despite having a booked up schedule for a few weeks! He sat down and gave me a 30 minute explanation of everything that was wrong, as well as explaining the mechanics of everything so I better understood. His prices were extremely affordable compared to other auto shops that over price everything and don’t do the job right. An extremely honest man who genuinely wants his customers leaving happy and satisfied, I’ll be taking my car here ongoing, couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

I woke up this morning to my car not starting which is never fun.Called the dealership and they told me they couldnt get me in until next week...Dave at DG Automotive got the job done the same day!Dave does great work! I would recommend paying in cash but debit/credit is $10 for every $100 spent however still very much a reasonable price out the door especially for an alternator on my 2018 Explorer.Highly recommend this place to anyone who doesnt want to be overcharged by your dealer for the same exact parts.

Had my car towed here at 5 pm and was fixed and ready for pick up by 9:15 am the next day. Dave fixed the issue for $500-$600 less than what I’ve paid my dealership to do three times before. He showed me exactly what happened, why and how he fixed it. Great service that helped ease a stressful situation. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the Rochester area and will be back (hopefully not too soon)!

Dave is a great guy and I totally trust him. He tells you straight up if he can do it or not. His personality is one that does not sugar coat anything and I appreciate his honesty. I highly recommend Dave to others who wants to stop getting ripped off by a dealership. He’s a no nonsense guy! :)

I called DG Automotive and they answered all of my questions over phone. I dropped my car off the next day. When I went to pick up my car, the mechanic showed me what was wrong, and he had all my old damaged parts in a box for me and asked if I wanted to keep them. Hell no, toss that out, but I appreciated him showing me exactly what was broke. I have been test driving my car for 2 weeks now and it feels like a brand new car. This mechanic knows his stuff. I am glad I finally have a mechanic who can service this car and my future fleet of vehicles. Thank you so much.

This has to to be one of the best mechanics Ive seen in the last 27 years. Fully competent in his job and great at what he does. I came in for some work on my Saturn and was amazed with how quickly and efficiently he had everything done. 5 stars! Would recommend to anyone!
