Well I finally did it! I got a Schwinn stationary bicycle with heart telemetry and comfy seat. After 8 minutes, I realized I need to spend more time on the AWESOME bike. I had gained the covid 15 lbs. and then some. I love my new bike, since I cant afford a horse right now!
Place is always clean, but we always seem to have an issue at check out. My husband has been a rewards member for a while now and the cashier said he should be able to use his points to save money at Christmas time. Unfortunately when they gave him the card they never actually activated it. So for at least 3 years he was buying stuff trying to earn points but had nothing. The cashier apologized but never offered to fix it. They do have a nice selection though and the staff is usually friendly.
I called ahead to ask if they have people who can cut arrows. They told me yes and to come on Monday. I just walked out of the store after being told they dont cut arrows anymore. I called yesterday. I wasted a trip all because someone couldnt be bothered to give me the correct info.
The staff is not at all friendly. I asked the lady about some pants, and she pointed me in a direction, I said can you come and show me and she just said NO. Because she was putting stuff away on another shelf. I asked someone else about some soccer balls and they responded to me while they were walking in the other direction. You could tell me if you are busy and find someone else to help me? Or ask me nicely to wait? But no, they are above all of us to be polite and provide some pleasant service!
Took a bike in for a tune up as it had a warped wheel, was told 3 days for work to be done. 3 days later I was told another 3 days, 3 more days and I am told my bike is next and it will be done by morning.Go to pick up bike and tire still had wobble in wheel. Spoke with tech ,who was working on another bike at the time, he said that the bike was ready to go, explained that the wheel was still not true. Tech replied that it wasnt that bad, but he could work in it some more, but that it can take a long time to true a wheel. I asked to speak to the manager, manager came out. I explained the situation to the manager and her response was I dont know, we are really busy I explained that I was told 3 days, then another 3 days and then that it was next in line, and here it still isnt ready. Manager said that she didnt know who told me 3 days as they dont promise times and that they have to work on the bikes in the order they come in.Gentleman behind me then asks the tech if the bike (that the tech was working on) would be ready tomorrow, tech said yes. I asked the gentleman if he had just dropped off the bike, he replied yes.I asked the manager and tech why they were working on a bike that had just been dropped off when mine had been there for a week. The manager again said I dont know. She asked when I needed the bike, I said now, she stated that they only had 1 tech and that he didnt work tomorrow. She then left to check the schedule.I asked the tech if he was the only tech, he said yes, I asked him why he was working on a bike that had just been dropped off when mine was there for a week and not finished. He informed me that the bike he was working on was purchased there. I explained that my bike was purchased there. I was then told that this was a new purchase and therefore had priority over my bike which was an old purchase.I then asked since he was the only tech, was he the one who worked on my bike, at this point he said he hadnt really had a chance to work on it, that he started but then got interrupted and and to work on other bikes that had more priority.This to me is fraud, he did not work on my bike and yet tried to tell me that the service I had paid for was finished and ready to take home.At the same time, the manager never once apologized for the issue, and just continued to say I dont know when the tech was right in front of her and she could have asked him.I ended up requesting a refund and left the store.
The store was clean and well laid out. The disappointing part was that with all the sporting balls they sell and had on display they were sold out of ball pumps and stems. When I asked for help they said they have been out for a week.When you have a corner of your store, floor to ceiling display and multiple bins with sport equipment that needs to be inflated the one thing you need to have is pumps and stems.Saddly this is why Amazon is killing the retail store. I had to waist another 40 min to find a store that had a pump.
Nice store but they are very expensive on everything I saw. Looking at hunting supplies and compared to Walmart across the street their pricing is about 25%-30% more on everything I checked. Store was empty in the middle of the day on a Saturday, this tells you a lot.
If I could give the Canton location a 0 or negative number, I would. I purchased a fishing rod with warranty on August 23rd (for my husband’s birthday) at the Northville location. I was told, very clearly, it could be returned within 60 days if unsatisfied.My husband tried it out and quickly decided he would prefer a shorter pole. On August 27th, I called the Canton location to ask about a return and was told by two staff that they did not accept returns on used products. Both staff were unaccomodating bordering on rude. So, I read the back of my receipt AND the online policy. No where did it state that fishing rods could not be returned once used. I stated such and asked to speak to the manager.Once she got on the phone I proceeded to explain the situation. Almost immediately, she accused me of yelling at her. I told her that was not the case, that she was on speaker phone. She continued to say I was yelling. At this point, I told her I was done speaking to her and that I wanted her name and position, I repeated the request multiple times (all the while, not yelling). She refused my multiple requests, stating they do not share this information (although they wear name tags, kinda confusing).Again, I repeated that I was done and commented that I would just contact corporate regarding the refusal and I assured her they would know her name. All of a sudden, she decided that she would now be willing to return the pole. I let her know that I was not interested and hung up the phone.Not satisfied, my husband and I had to drive to the store in order to get her name. At 8:30 in the evening, we walked into the store and asked one of the cashiers for the name of the manager on duty. She pointed to ELLEN the OPERATIONS MANAGER (clearly displayed on her name tag), stating that she was the manager. ELLEN the OPERATIONS MANAGER then stated that SHE had called corporate already regarding our conversation and requested to speak to us in the back. We declined the invitation, as we only went to the store to get the information she refused to share over the phone.Needless to say, I will not return to this location again, and will suggest the same to all I encounter. I will happily take my business to the Northville location where the focus on customer service is apparent. We will return the pole there and I am quite sure that we will have no problems.
I had the worst possible experience shopping online for a basketball hoop. I paid for delivery and assembly that was scheduled 2 months ago and it is still not done. Worst customer service ever. Completely clueless and incompetent. Cant find anyone to help me. Im so frustrated. I will never shopping there again. Do not recommend it at all. Big waste of money.
Awesome store with a nice selection to choose from, popular brand names here like Spalding, Nike, Adidas, Wilson, ect. Although with these great selection comes a cost and Dicks Sporting Goods prices are bit steep compared to Amazon and some other major retailers. If youre looking for something you need that same day, i would recommend going to Dicks if not better off ordering from Amazon. The store is kept clean and organized staff was friendly and happy to help. There was aslo a manger there that stoped me from taking pictures of there store after he seen me take a couple and already asked what was doing.
I would give negative stars if possible... The employees at the Canton location are the most unhelpful people ever. Their policies are ridiculous, and I wont be shopping here again, nor do I advise anyone else to. Theres no reason I shouldnt be able to pick up an order that I placed, just because its in my husbands name!!
Traded in set of irons and bought taylormade rsi1 irons. Played 3 rounds and gated them, so I went back and talked with Steve at the canton store. He had me try different clubs and decided that my irons needed adjustment. Played my first round with them yesterday and had best game ever. Thanks Steve for consulting me and getting things figured out so I can ENJOY the game once again. Do not know about the other staff but he really was helpful and patient getting me what I needed.
Horrible customer service! We were ignored by multiple associates in the store. When I brought it to the attention of the so-called manager, Brianna, she didn’t even bother to apologize for the service we received! Certainly did not make us feel like our money is wanted or needed in this establishment. Won’t be back!

2022-04-23Two bad experiences. Charged me for a $400barbell set that I didnt even pick up. Claimed I dida pick up order when I did not. I had to callcustomer service myself to get my money backbecause no one at the canton location could helpme. Turned out one employee clicked I picked itup. Mistakes happen but at least take care of therefund instead of having me call corporate for arefund.Went to buy a new pair of running shoes they putunreleased Nike shoes on the floor but couldntsell me them because they incorrectly put them onthe floor before the release date. They said theywould put them on hold and call us when theywere released so we couldbuy them but never did.Called today and they said they had nothing onhold for me. If something is out on the floor FORSALE people SHOULD be able to buy it.

2022-03-24I was at a loss trying to find a shoe that fit that was in stock. When I was approached by a young man named Nick, who went out of his way to help me, not only finding my shoes, but picked out shoe laces to match. Customer service at its best.

2022-01-23Made a dash out here for an online order pickup and it sure felt like a premium store. The outdoor facade towers over you as you enter the extra-wide foyer. Each core quadrant of the apparel section was dominated by a brand and everything just looked supreme. The environment was bright and staff friendly. Missed a star for grabbing the wrong item for my pickup, but apologized and walked out with the right one.

2019-12-14Bob the manager will go above and beyond to help you out with what ever you need. We bought a Kayak online to pick up in store, but for some reason the order got cancelled. We found out the next day, but the kayak was no longer in sale. Bob not only saved the kayak for us, but he gave us the original sale price. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
